Summary

Trump Jr. joins Tucker and Sean to discuss his new book, "The Dark Side of America" and why he thinks the media is biased against the Trump administration. He also explains why he doesn't think the mainstream media should be as critical of the administration as they are of other presidential candidates and why it's time for the media to stop playing politics with the country's most important things. Tucker also discusses why he believes the media should not be so quick to jump on the Trump bandwagon and why they should be focused on the issues that matter the most to the American people. He also talks about why the media has a problem with standing up to the media and why we need to stop letting them do their job and stand up for what matters the most, which is telling the truth about what matters to the people and what's going on in the world. 00:00:00.000 Here with more, Donald Trump Jr.
00:00:02.000 You know, I'm not a big social media guy anymore, believe it or not.
00:00:06.000 We tweet out information that we do on my website, et cetera, et cetera.
00:00:09.000 You know, the old days of fighting Jimmy Kimmel and Alec Baldwin have died for me.
00:00:14.000 I kind of began to live my life again.
00:00:16.000 Not for me, Sean. I was just going to say, but not for you.
00:00:19.000 I was reading your Twitter account.
00:00:21.000 You are engaged in every single solitary issue now in this country like never before.
00:00:29.000 The reality is someone has to do it, Sean.
00:00:31.000 That's the problem. We have people in the Republican Party who are just not willing to engage.
00:00:36.000 They speak incredibly well in front of nice groups of Republicans, but when they get to D.C., when there's pressure, they're not willing to stand up to an adverse media that's functioning as the marketing arm of the Democrat Party.
00:00:49.000 Me, I don't have that problem.
00:00:50.000 I like to engage, and if someone has to do it, it might as well be me.
00:00:54.000 I'm willing to do that.
00:00:55.000 That doesn't come You know, free of the sticks and arrows that I get from the other side.
00:01:00.000 But it's worth it because we have to point out these lies.
00:01:03.000 I did this last summer when I wrote the book Liberal Privilege.
00:01:06.000 If you look at what I said in that book, literally all of it is coming true.
00:01:10.000 We saw it all.
00:01:11.000 The media lied about it because they wanted to paint Joe Biden as though he's this, you know, moderate Joe.
00:01:17.000 He's not going to ban fracking.
00:01:18.000 He's not going to do all these things.
00:01:20.000 But he isn't. And whether he's in control or not is also debatable.
00:01:23.000 But we said very early on that the people that are controlling the Democrat Party are going to make these decisions.
00:01:29.000 They are going to be bad for Americans.
00:01:32.000 They are going to bend the knee to China.
00:01:35.000 And you can see, based on Tucker's last segment, we're doing a little bit more than bending the knee to China.
00:01:41.000 Okay. Oh, and they're trying to pressure South Korea to give another $7 billion to the Iranian mullahs.
00:01:47.000 I don't think many people in the news, in the fake news industry, have been following that.
00:01:53.000 Or do they seem to care that John Kerry was undermining your father's foreign policy with back-channel negotiations with Iranians?
00:02:00.000 That went unnoticed.
00:02:02.000 I guess if John Kerry's name was General Flynn, it might be taken a little differently.
00:02:07.000 The reality is, is every time the left gets power, they overreach.
00:02:13.000 There's never been a major political party that has ever gone this hard left.
00:02:18.000 The consequences are predictable.
00:02:20.000 Socialism always fails.
00:02:22.000 It leads to more poverty.
00:02:24.000 It leads to every promise they make is broken.
00:02:27.000 And it's just a matter how much freedom we lose in the meantime.
00:02:30.000 They seem to be going for all of it in record time.
00:02:36.000 Without question, Sean.
00:02:37.000 And that's because there's no natural pushback.
00:02:40.000 The Republicans aren't willing to do it.
00:02:42.000 They've shown that over the decades.
00:02:44.000 They'd just rather lose gracefully, I guess.
00:02:45.000 That's not really a plan that I would go with, but it's what they've done.
00:02:49.000 Donald Trump has shown that you don't have to do that.
00:02:52.000 You can actually push back.
00:02:54.000 We don't have an easy fight.
00:02:56.000 We don't have a level playing field.
00:02:58.000 You have multi-trillion dollar industries between the mainstream media and big tech doing whatever they can to destroy the Republican Party.
00:03:06.000 Look at the difference in the handling of Governor DeSantis versus Andrew Cuomo.
00:03:11.000 Andrew Cuomo gets Emmys for sending your grandmother to your nursing home to her death.
00:03:16.000 Okay? Governor DeSantis got more hell in Florida for keeping beaches open.
00:03:21.000 For keeping beaches open with social distancing and masks than Andrew Cuomo got for executive orders sending people into nursing homes to die when we knew sending the sick and elderly back into nursing home was a susceptible population and people would get hurt.
00:03:38.000 Governor DeSantis gets more hell for various decisions for taking on the press than Andrew Cuomo does for having credible accusations of sexual harassment and other harassment.
00:03:48.000 There is a double standard that's out there.
00:03:51.000 I think that people in America see it, which is why the mainstream media's approval ratings is almost as low as Congress's.
00:03:58.000 But until we have more people that are willing to step up and tell the truth and speak to the American people, we're a little bit at a loss.
