00:00:00.000 Donald Trump Jr. is the executive VP of the Trump Organization.
00:00:03.000 He joins me now for a prime time exclusive.
00:00:07.000 All right, Don, the New York Times couldn't even find a similar situation to this where anybody who was involved in anything like this was criminally charged.
00:00:18.000 And you know the New York Times looked very hard.
00:00:20.000 So, I don't know, what is your reaction to what happened today?
00:00:26.000 Listen, Jesse, this is the political persecution of a political enemy.
00:00:29.000 This is what Vladimir Putin does.
00:00:32.000 Just ask Novotny. He's been sitting in a cell.
00:00:34.000 They're not sure why, but guess what?
00:00:36.000 If no one's going to challenge him and no one's going to call it out, that's what's going to happen, and that's what's happened in New York.
00:00:40.000 They've spent more than two years, but they've been looking approximately five years, because this is what, like...
00:00:45.000 The equivalent of Russia, Russia, Russia.
00:00:48.000 Like, this is the twelfth iteration, right?
00:00:49.000 That failed. Mahler failed.
00:00:51.000 Ukraine failed. Don Jr.
00:00:52.000 Treason failed. Don Jr.
00:00:53.000 Perjury failed. They're going to keep going.
00:00:56.000 This is what they promised.
00:00:58.000 They joined. The DA's office joined, Jesse, with the Attorney General's office because she herself campaigned on, I'm going to take down Trump.
00:01:05.000 We're going to do this before seeing anything.
00:01:08.000 After five years, Three million documents, countless witnesses and hours of grand jury testimony outside forensic auditors.
00:01:18.000 This is what they come up with.
00:01:20.000 They're going to charge a guy who's 75 years old on crimes of avoiding paying taxes on a fringe benefit.
00:01:28.000 Like, you know, people in corporate America get a corporate car.
00:01:30.000 Jesse, I'm sure you've paid taxes every time you've taken a car to or from work.
00:01:35.000 Right? It happens sometimes.
00:01:37.000 This is not what they promised the American public, but they have to do something.
00:01:41.000 Notice how they brought it Thursday late afternoon going into Fourth of July weekend?
00:01:47.000 Because it's nonsense.
00:01:48.000 But this is what they do to their enemies.
00:01:50.000 No different than Putin.
00:01:51.000 No different than the mullahs.
00:01:53.000 They can do it. They can tie you up.
00:01:55.000 They can try to destroy a man's life, his reputation.
00:01:58.000 That's all this has been.
00:02:00.000 And this is what they've got after all of that time.
00:02:03.000 Now, imagine the millions they spent.
00:02:05.000 Had they done that actually trying to stop real Well, criminals in New York, like the tens of thousands that looted in New York last year.
00:02:14.000 Hundreds of them were released without even a slap on the wrist just last week.
00:02:19.000 Penn Stations, like a war zone.
00:02:21.000 The city's going to hell, and this is where they're focusing, because, you know, it's easy to go after your political enemies in deep blue states and cities like New York City.
00:02:29.000 So just to put it into context for the American people, in 2008, the prosecutors didn't charge any of the bankers that caused the biggest financial collapse in about 100 years.
00:02:41.000 Not one banker was charged anything, all right?
00:02:43.000 Now they're trying to lock up an executive for not properly writing off a company car.
00:02:48.000 So they're alleging... $100,000 a year in perks over 15 years.
00:02:54.000 This is a $2 billion company, the Trump Organization.
00:02:57.000 So we're talking about pennies on the dollar, okay?
00:02:59.000 Pennies on the dollar. It goes further than that, Jesse.
00:03:01.000 It goes further than that.
00:03:03.000 This is all they can find after promising what?
00:03:07.000 Illegal loans from Moscow?
00:03:10.000 Illegal tax shelters?
00:03:12.000 They promised us the world.
00:03:13.000 So if this is all they can find a Mercedes that wasn't properly filed in a tax return, this is usually dealt with, from my understanding, maybe a fine, maybe you just refile the tax.
00:03:25.000 Never have they ever charged anybody criminally like this before.
00:03:30.000 Correct. The New York Times could not find a single case in the history of the IRS 230 years.
00:03:37.000 Not one case prosecuted criminally for fringe benefits.
00:03:40.000 Not one. But they make sure to say it's definitely not political.
00:03:44.000 It has nothing to do with political.
00:03:45.000 They didn't charge the bankers that took down the global economy.
00:03:48.000 They haven't done this prior in 230 years.
00:03:50.000 But, Jesse, it's definitely not political, right?
00:03:53.000 Let's take the numbers even further, right?
00:03:55.000 They're saying $1.7 million over 15 years.
00:03:59.000 But it's not $1.7 million.
00:04:00.000 That's income. The taxable portion of that to New York State is 8%.
00:04:06.000 That's $136,000 over 16 years.
00:04:11.000 That's 10 grand a year.
00:04:13.000 Half of that, because my father's a good guy, he paid for this guy's grandchildren's education.
00:04:19.000 Our tax experts say that's not even taxable.
00:04:22.000 You can pay for someone's education that way.
00:04:24.000 So you cut it down. It comes out to less than ten grand a year.
00:04:29.000 It's about closer to five grand a year if you take out the education, and that's what they got.
00:04:33.000 But again, is this what they promised the American people?
00:04:36.000 This isn't. This is a farce.
00:04:39.000 It's a disgrace that they spent millions of dollars and years Instead of prosecuting actual murderous thugs on the streets of New York, they go after their political enemies.
00:04:49.000 And if we're going to pretend for one second this is anything other than a witch hunt that they can get away with, because where do you go, Jesse?
00:04:56.000 To another leftist judge in New York who's going to say, you know what, I don't care, go after your political enemies.
00:05:00.000 This is going on in America right now.
00:05:03.000 This is Banana Republic stuff.
00:05:05.000 And if our press was even a little bit intellectually honest, they'd be calling it that.
00:05:09.000 Because this is not the storyline that they've been sold and told by the AG and the DA over the last few years.
00:05:16.000 This is nonsense, and it has to be called out as such.
00:05:19.000 And if they were honest, they'd be looking at those wires from Moscow to the Biden family, from Beijing to the Biden family, holding 10 for the big guy.
00:05:27.000 No interest in that at all.
00:05:28.000 It does look like political warfare by prosecutors.
00:05:31.000 No, they don't care. They really don't care.
00:05:34.000 They could care less.
00:05:36.000 I'll give you the last word.
00:05:37.000 Let me just ask you a quick question.
00:05:39.000 Are you worried at all about this Weisselberg guy?
00:05:41.000 Are you worried? Because you know what they're trying to do.
00:05:43.000 They're trying to put the screws to him.
00:05:45.000 So you know how it goes. Are you worried?
00:05:46.000 That's the point, Jesse. You know, everyone's talking about, well, they want to get him to flip.
00:05:51.000 There has to be something to flip on, Jesse.
00:05:53.000 The reality is this. You know, prior to politics, no one questioned whether my dad built That's what it is.
00:06:15.000 We've seen more stuff about Hunter Biden that they haven't even looked at, that we know is real, that we know is accurate, that they won't even investigate.
00:06:26.000 That is a thousand times worse than anything that they're doing so far.
00:06:31.000 And they've been spending five years, millions of dollars, and countless hours, and reviewing millions and millions of documents.
00:06:37.000 This is what they come up with.
00:06:39.000 Give me a break. It's a disgrace.
00:06:41.000 They drop it on a Thursday night going into Fourth of July weekend because they know it's a disgrace.
00:06:46.000 They know that the people that they're playing to, you know, the rich liberal New Yorkers, they're in the car Probably their corporate car going out to their homes in the Hamptons right now so they don't see it and realize how much of an embarrassment it is.
00:06:58.000 It's a disgrace and it needs to be called out.
00:07:00.000 It's a joke. Thanks for calling it out, Don Jr.
