Summary

In this episode I talk about hypocrisy on social media and censorship of conservatives. The problem with the system is that there is no objective standard put forth when either fact checking or analyzing things. Only one side gets the fact check and only one side is tried to be made whole by the fact-checkers. And that's the problem with social media, when you're playing on an uneven playing field, it really sort of sucks. If you don't like it, you gotta deal with it. I believe in freedom, but more importantly this is about the censorship of conservative voices and the way that there's not an objective standard to be put forth in either fact-checking, analyzing things, or any other form of media. I think you'll appreciate it. Tweet me and let me know what you think! 00:00:00.000 Guys, let's talk about hypocrisy on social media and the censorship of conservatives.
00:00:07.000 So this was something that was pointed out to me by the guys at Recoil Magazine.
00:00:12.000 You know, obviously I'm a big Second Amendment guy.
00:00:14.000 I think you all know that. If you don't like it, I'm sorry.
00:00:16.000 You gotta deal with it. I believe in freedom.
00:00:18.000 But more importantly, this is about sort of the censorship of conservatives and the way That there is not an objective standard put forth when either fact checking, analyzing things, or whatnot.
00:00:33.000 So Recoil Magazine sent me this thing.
00:00:35.000 I saw the post. They tagged me in it.
00:00:37.000 And they lined up two quotes.
00:00:39.000 They actually took a sort of old famous quote that was then jumbled.
00:00:44.000 And they attributed one to Joe Biden and one to Donald Trump.
00:00:48.000 And they posted them to see what would happen.
00:00:51.000 The quote was, you know, a take, again, it was just a word salad based on all of the words of that old saying.
00:00:58.000 Remember, it's sort of a conservative mantra, you know.
00:01:02.000 Give a man a fish he eats for a day.
00:01:05.000 Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
00:01:09.000 It's sort of an allegory, a little story about self-sufficiency and getting people to the point where they're self-sufficient.
00:01:16.000 But what they did was they jumbled up the words, right?
00:01:20.000 And then they did a post attributed to Donald Trump and a post attributed to Joe Biden.
00:01:26.000 They said, buy a man, eat fish, he day, teach fish man to a lifetime.
00:01:33.000 That's what they turned it into.
00:01:35.000 And they attributed one to Donald Trump and one to Joe Biden.
00:01:40.000 The exact same word salad, just different attribution.
00:01:43.000 Guess which one was fact check as being incorrect?
00:01:49.000 Yeah, the one for Joe Biden was fact-checked as being incorrect.
00:01:53.000 The Donald Trump one was left alone.
00:01:55.000 Now, mind you, they were both incorrect.
00:01:58.000 They were both not right.
00:02:00.000 They were not attributed to those people.
00:02:03.000 They were not something that those people ever said.
00:02:05.000 They're not either of those people using the original quote about teaching a man to fish.
00:02:11.000 None of it. It was just a word salad.
00:02:14.000 But the one that made Donald Trump look like he has marbles in his mouth, Like Joe Biden so often does.
00:02:20.000 That was left alone as though it was real.
00:02:22.000 That was left out there in the ether for everyone to assume maybe he did say that.
00:02:27.000 Huh. Maybe there's something wrong.
00:02:29.000 Now the one with Joe Biden where you actually probably wouldn't be surprised if he did screw up the quote that bad given his general level of incompetence in terms of getting his words out and articulating them well.
00:02:43.000 It wouldn't surprise you, but that one was instantly fact-checked.
00:02:47.000 Check out the pictures.
00:02:49.000 I'm going to post them up throughout this post because it's the perfect example.
00:02:54.000 The exact same thing for the exact same sort of level of people.
00:02:59.000 Only one side gets the fact check.
00:03:01.000 Only one side is tried to be made whole.
00:03:05.000 By the fact checkers.
00:03:06.000 And that's the problem with the system.
00:03:09.000 When you're playing on an uneven playing field, it really sort of sucks.
00:03:13.000 So check it out. I think you'll appreciate it.
00:03:15.000 Thanks to the guys at Recoil for posting it.
00:03:17.000 Because it's important to get it out, and it's important for us to all understand the amount of crap that we are up against as conservatives.
