00:08:42.400 ever find or i'm a pretty darn good uh counselor a biblical counselor so uh my heart is in ministry

00:08:52.000 it is for ministry i do ministry and quite frankly every time i tell the lord enough you know what

00:08:57.760 happens with that he brings you right back in so what i deal with really is the darkest of the dark

00:09:03.840 but i would say and the the presentation you had the video right we don't wrestle against flesh and

00:09:10.640 blood and when you think of the gods of the nations as the lord brought the jews and he was using the

00:09:17.440 jews right the jews were always a constant pain i say he was a they were a migraine and a hemorrhoid to

00:09:24.080 him but so are we quite frankly so right he said if you if you become like them i'll take you out as well

00:09:32.000 now what is them take ultimately they were into child sacrifice right it's the degradation of

00:09:43.360 a moral compass that will always throughout human history we've seen it since satan you know how does

00:09:50.880 satan get god right that's his goal but you can't get god so what does he do i mean ultimately and plus

00:09:56.720 you know he he can read perfect hebrew greek and aramaic a couple of those parts in the book of

00:10:02.240 daniel like a good psychopath and we'll describe that here in a moment it's a modern day psychology

00:10:09.200 which really just gives a modern day twist to a reprobate mind and the old-fashioned word out of

00:10:14.880 the book of proverbs and psalms i would contend the word fool is the modern day psychopath and i'll define

00:10:41.120 there's a psychopath that we all think of when you mention the word psychopath and i'm certified in

00:10:51.520 hair out of the university of british columbia the pclr the hair psychopathy checklist is quote unquote

00:10:58.080 the gold standard of forensic assessments so i'm certified to do forensic assessments of psychopaths

00:11:04.640 for court related procedures either civil commitments or retaining men behind bars my i'm a therapist by

00:11:12.240 trade a therapist for about 30 years the worked in all sorts of settings including inpatient

00:11:19.280 my background comprised of after making change from the ministry i i had a christian ed

00:11:29.840 major actually it's biblical studies took my two years of greek and then changed to christian ed

00:11:34.240 because talbot school of theology had a marriage and family ministries program so made a change to

00:11:39.600 that and then eventually took cal state fullerton out in southern california the masters in counseling

00:11:45.360 that was back in the early 90s the three primary populations that i have worked with extensively

00:11:51.920 are sexual abuse survivors there's not many things a pastor knows

00:11:57.920 about the people from day to day that he when you step up into the pulpit or approach your pulpit

00:12:04.800 but i can tell you conservatively 40 of your congregation of the females i think it's about 60

00:12:13.840 have in their past sexual violation

00:12:18.800 pastors i can tell you guaranteed that when you approach your pulpit and look out over the audience

00:12:25.600 any given audience i would say it's safe to say that 60 of the people that you are looking at

00:12:31.280 all those eyes that you're connecting with have trauma in their background

00:12:37.520 a lot of that creates static so they can't hear what you're saying

00:12:42.320 it's really important to understand that i didn't understand that once upon a time

00:12:46.720 and then we think well they're resistant or they just need to memorize more verses and i'm not downplaying

00:12:52.320 the importance of memorizing verses but if you have a lot of static going on on the inside it may

00:12:58.240 not just be spiritual warfare it may be that parts are very wounded and have a lot of significant

00:13:05.200 questions and until that can be worked through they may not be able to fully attend to what you're

00:13:12.560 saying and if we are doing our jobs we will be having people that are very wounded coming into

00:13:20.160 churches and so pastors need to now well i believe they've always needed to but there is

00:13:27.120 now what's called trauma-informed care there's a lot of good information out there i'd recommend

00:13:33.200 this is as as an aside but i really would recommend each pastor look up a new model of counseling now

00:13:41.600 it's not new it's really they they've coined new terminology to deal with trauma and it's a very very

00:13:48.320 effective approach to counseling it's called ifs internal family systems therapy it can really be

00:13:58.560 effective for those who are in your congregation who have past trauma what happens with trauma is on the

00:14:09.920 inside of us we can become compartmentalized we can get kind of tucked away now the term ptsd most

00:14:18.560 people are familiar with that a vessel van der koch i'm going to give you a recommended book to read

00:14:26.880 it's called the body keeps the score vessel van der koch is out of the boston trauma center

00:14:33.440 his early work was with veterans coming back from the vietnam war and he was a part of that group

00:14:41.520 that really coined the term ptsd so he's been around a long time the ad the

00:14:50.240 what the progression of technology you know how we can scan the brains differently and now see activity

00:14:56.240 within the brain that used to not be able to see is really has been used strategically to help

00:15:03.280 help medicine and help psychiatry a psychiatrist as a medical doctor

00:15:09.280 really help see the effects of trauma in the brain in a traumatized brain meaning somebody that's

00:15:16.880 gone through trauma looks different now the good news is neuroplasticity we can bring back

00:15:23.600 someone that has been traumatized but a cognitive behavioral approach to somebody with trauma

00:15:31.600 i'll give you an idea what a cognitive behavioral approach is it's a normal approach we say

00:15:39.280 my recommendation is you memorize scripture and it's going to help

00:15:43.120 it's not downplaying the power of the word but we're to study to show ourselves approved certainly

00:15:48.960 scripturally but we need to be able to figure out what applies in any given situation

00:15:56.640 or we'll do a one-size-fits-all approach jesus didn't do that look at how he dealt with the

00:16:03.280 woman at the well versus woman caught in adultery two very different approaches woman at the well he

00:16:08.800 didn't tell her what to do at the end woman caught in adultery small business woman why did he spare her

00:16:15.600 life because they should have brought the guys he actually told her go and sin no more

00:16:23.760 very different situation one was shame-based woman at the well we know why she was there midday hot sun by

00:16:32.000 herself woman caught in adultery or you know the woman that was wrecking marriage it's very different

00:16:39.440 woman at the well needed grace she was even the talk of the town that's why she went to walmart at

00:16:46.240 midnight i mean she went to the well in the middle of the day she didn't want anybody to see her she

00:16:50.960 didn't want to run into anybody but at the end of that exchange with the lord what happened

00:16:56.240 come see the man who told me everything i've ever done she didn't want to hear that before but

00:17:02.880 something dramatically changed so we have to be able to apply that balance of grace and truth and

00:17:08.880 the right amount to the right situation so understanding the effects of trauma is very very

00:17:14.320 important so vessel van der koch's book the body keeps the score i strongly recommend it

00:17:20.640 because it will help inform our own ability to counsel and work with people because sometimes if

00:17:26.720 somebody just quote unquote doesn't get it it may not be that they are resistant it may be that they

00:17:33.760 are just deeply wounded and therefore reactive but we have to be able to be discerning because you'll

00:17:40.000 have in your churches wounded people but you will also have people that wound you will have people that

00:17:48.560 are specifically coming into your church to target people and that i didn't know

00:17:56.400 i could not have fathomed that but now knowing what i know having provided sex offender treatment for 14

00:18:04.080 years i'll get back to my background as a matter of fact so um in 30 years uh you can really break my

00:18:11.680 professional specialties into thirds one is working with those that have been severely sexually abused

00:18:20.480 that will have a way of shattering the soul as it were shattering the mind so you can have somebody

00:18:28.560 with different parts that have become compartmentalized

00:18:34.160 then it was working with kids in the system those that are labeled at least out in california

00:18:39.360 which is originally where i'm from i'm speaking to you all from south carolina right now

00:18:43.040 uh severely emotionally disturbed kids which are those that we find in the trans deception

00:18:51.280 and i'll speak to the trans movement in a moment because you all are on the cutting edge

00:18:54.960 of persecution and you need to know how to deal with that what do we do with all these kids that are

00:19:03.200 pronouns and non-binary and right um so kids in the system and then for 11 plus years i was on psychology

00:19:12.240 staff for the pennsylvania department of corrections i was recruited i turned them down a number of times but i was

00:19:19.360 recruited and you know if i have a state system if a provincial system recruits from outside itself

00:19:25.200 something's going on well all the psychology staff were ready to kind of go on strike because there was

00:19:31.360 a mandate from the secretary of corrections in pennsylvania so the head of corrections to put together

00:19:38.880 what would amount to be the first intensive treatment program in the u.s for guys and for men in long

00:19:45.840 term solitary confinement so think of the hannibal lecters and cannibals and pillagers and planner the

00:19:52.800 guys that don't play nice in prison so that's why the psychology staff were not going to have it and so

00:19:57.840 they had to hire from without so all that to say i logged more clinical contact hours in that environment

00:20:05.200 than any solitary than any um psychology staff member in the u.s or canada so i have i hold the record like

00:20:15.360 that's the record you want to hold but and through that um dug deep into the criminal mind also headed

00:20:21.600 up one of the forensic units standalone 65 bed unit for sexually violent predators then did a lot of

00:20:28.080 specialized assessments and risk assessments and hundreds of parole evaluations it was through

00:20:35.200 that experience wasn't looking to have my background but now that i have it i use it strategically

00:20:42.400 even when i tell the lord i'm sort of done dealing with the perps but i also am currently a sex

00:20:47.360 offender treatment provider i have about 45 guys in three groups right now uh tuesday wednesday evenings

00:20:53.600 and saturday mornings so i'm still involved in it i've been working with sex offenders now for 14 years

00:21:00.480 so and there will be days that uh one hour i'm working with a survivor of uh there is a

00:21:08.560 such thing as called satanic ritual abuse i never would have believed it as a matter of fact i did not

00:21:14.080 believe in what can happen to the mind in severe trauma until it unfolded in front of me and then

00:21:21.440 i was trying to figure out how to make sense of what i was saying and there's about five different

00:21:26.560 reasons for voices i'll throw this out right now this would be helpful because if you hear someone say

00:21:31.520 they hear voices if we're theologically trained what does that conjure in our minds

00:21:38.480 probably one of two things either demonic possession or being crazy but there's five reasons

00:21:43.040 i've never heard anybody publish at some point in time i'll publish about this here are the five

00:21:47.280 reasons for voices by the way and it's really on sort of a continuum except demonic possession that's

00:21:53.920 you know off the charts um but it is first is negative self-talk you can have somebody that

00:22:00.880 probably because of what they've gone through they've become an eeyore everybody familiar with

00:22:05.680 winnie the pooh and eeyore oh well you know eeyore continues to lose his tail right and so think about

00:22:12.720 that eeyore is not phased by losing a part of himself so strangely enough he doesn't get really low but

00:22:21.680 he also doesn't get really high eeyore is just sort of vanilla flavored in a world of 31 flavors and

00:22:27.680 colors and ring he's just kind of vanilla flavored we call that dysthymia low-grade depression but

00:22:34.080 we would say that negative self-talk sometimes people oftentimes are having to debate with themselves

00:22:41.600 the second would be if you were on the receiving end of somebody that just was harping on you

00:22:46.800 almost like a drill sergeant and they drilled it into you worked with a number of folks that can

00:22:54.560 literally hear their father or their mother's voice right you ask somebody about that they're all their

00:23:01.280 eyes oh her head your voice is in my head i can't get it okay that's not too uncommon that would be a

00:23:09.040 second reason now we're starting to get a little more profound literally you can hear that voice inflection

00:23:14.160 in your mind if you were on the receiving end of a really drill sergeant kind of dad you remember

00:23:20.640 what that's like so that would be one part that's called an introject that it's almost now tape recorded

00:23:26.720 and that can cause sabotaging of success by the way you just get to a point where you're ready to succeed

00:23:34.400 and what happens you hear that voice so that's not demonic that's not schizophrenia that's just

00:23:42.640 almost brainwashing in a way so very powerful the third would be schizophrenia that's something i

00:23:51.600 never believed in until seeing enough films schizophrenia is a degenerative disease because

00:23:58.320 we live in a fallen world and our bodies are breaking down if someone has schizophrenia it's from

00:24:05.120 it's genetic so it's passed through the family tree and it will start about late teens and it doesn't

00:24:11.600 have anything to do with environment but you can imagine what happens and what's happening is it's

00:24:18.720 in the neuron the synaptic gap because the neurons in the brain don't touch right our thoughts our

00:24:26.560 movements are all based upon chemicals so if those chemicals get out of whack then you're going to have

00:24:33.680 as it were misfiring or not firing enough one of the things that the brain is tasked with doing is

00:24:39.520 filtering stuff out including our own thoughts i mean think about each of us right now where we're

00:24:45.280 sitting if you get still think about how many different noises we're talking over zoom that's

00:24:51.920 obnoxious no i'm kidding right that's a different kind of experience think about what your brain right

00:24:58.080 now is having to do to allow you to attend to my voice filtering out and filtering through you got

00:25:05.200 a lot of thoughts going on right now okay so if you weren't able to do all that guess what you'd have

00:25:12.240 if you've ever seen the movie a beautiful mind that's schizophrenia okay that's not demonic that's

00:25:17.680 actually schizophrenia somebody with a very high iq their brain chemistry is starting to go awry so

00:25:25.200 that's why no talk therapy will that help a genuine schizophrenic those are the ones and here's how you

00:25:32.880 discern the difference we call that person crazy and they they are i'd never worked with a crazy

00:25:38.640 population until working in prison heading up the mental health unit suddenly i'm working with all

00:25:43.280 the forensic crazy people that should be in a state hospital and they cut budgets so where do they go

00:25:47.200 into prison so prisons now have become one amount to state hospital and i've talked to guys that are

00:25:53.280 crazy and so now you can probably have crazy and demonic stuff but you literally can have craziness that

00:25:59.360 is just crazy so that's important to know but the differences those are the people with the tinfoil

00:26:04.960 hats why do they have tinfoil hats to keep what the mothership from broadcasting that's crazy you all know

00:26:11.840 that right it's not demonic now could it be but think about that can you think there's a mothership

00:26:18.240 without demonic stuff being involved absolutely yes trust me right so no talk therapy is going to help

00:26:25.280 that because they are what's happening their brain is starting to and it's always degenerative by the

00:26:29.600 way so if you have somebody with true that's true mental illness passed down genetically they need

00:26:35.840 medication because they will continue to get worse that's why they keep and the challenge is they keep going

00:26:40.320 off their medication they'll get worse but the medication will arrest the degenerative process where it's at

00:26:45.840 the fourth reason for voices is demonic possession how many people are demon possessed probably about as many

00:26:56.640 as are referenced in scripture what should how should our approach be probably similar in scripture how much

00:27:06.960 time did paul spend talking to the woman who was running her mouth that was demon possessed that was a slave

00:27:13.760 servant very interesting paul had anger management issues by the way right but he couldn't take it

00:27:20.560 anymore so he turned around and what cast the demon out of there and poof now we've got riots book burning

00:27:25.360 right how much time did he dialogue with that demon how much time did jesus dialogue with demons

00:27:35.120 demons won't dialogue very well they're not supposed to okay so that's the fourth reason for voices

00:27:42.160 the fifth reason would be called for lack of a better term multiplicity used to be called multiple

00:27:49.840 personality disorder now it's called did dissociative identity disorder it's very real it's the result of

00:27:55.120 trauma best way to understand it and that's why i recommend internal family systems therapy and this

00:28:00.880 is something i didn't believe in and this all set the stage for what's happening with these kids because

00:28:04.720 i'm convinced a number of the kids that are being sucked into the trans movement have this and they're

00:28:09.680 being preyed upon a trauma survivor will dissociate let me describe what that is they will lose track

00:28:18.080 of time and we all lose track of time we lose things if i lose my glasses i can't find them because i'm

00:28:23.920 dependent upon my glasses right we misplace things misplacing things is very different than

00:28:31.040 completely forgetting or not being able to account for hours or days at a time

00:28:39.680 that's not mental illness what happens is and inevitably we'll start early if a child is

00:28:47.840 being overwhelmed by something let's say there's going to be a perpetrator in that child's life

00:28:52.800 the majority of sexual abuse happens within the home by somebody that has regular and consistent

00:28:58.960 access to that child and the reason i'm setting the stage for this is about 80 to 85 percent of the young

00:29:05.760 people who are being sucked into the trans movement are sexual abuse survivors they're being preyed upon

00:29:15.440 and then those kids have skin in the game people are profiting off of trauma that's diabolical what's

00:29:21.600 happening

00:29:24.640 when a child is being perked on

00:29:26.240 and the most sophisticated of sexual perpetrators will target churches

00:29:35.360 if you have

00:29:38.080 50 people in your congregation you've got a couple of sexual predators already

00:30:27.360 the more the further somebody descends into deviance one of two things will happen

00:30:32.080 oh and i'm sorry there's two kinds of psychopaths the bloody psychopath the kind that we all think of

00:30:37.360 the other kind in the term coined by robert hair is a white collar psychopath

00:30:44.640 and where do you find white collar psychopaths you find them everywhere

00:30:48.720 he says there's few there's not very many i don't believe that and i don't think he does

00:30:54.080 either because he said if he hadn't studied them in prison and he didn't work in a prison

00:30:58.000 so um but you know that's where he got his psychopaths from that he um scanned the brains

00:31:05.360 and the brain the activity of the of a psychopath the brain scans are very very different i will show

00:31:16.240 he said if he hadn't studied psychopaths in prison he would have studied them on wall street
