00:00:00.000 I'm so pleased to introduce you to Kim McBride this evening.
00:00:07.220 Kim has been following Action for Canada's Call to Actions since early 2020,
00:00:12.140 and in July of 2021, she signed on as Calgary's Chapter Leader.
00:00:17.060 A year later, she became Action for Canada's National Chapter Coordinator.
00:00:21.840 Kim is the mother of teenage girls, a teacher, and a woman of faith
00:00:25.660 who believes in the power of prayer,
00:00:27.660 and we are so excited that she can join us this evening.
00:00:31.480 Will you all please help me welcome the lovely Kim McBride?
00:00:35.180 Hello, Kim.
00:00:37.280 Hi, thank you so much, Heather, for that really great introduction,
00:00:41.900 and I love those bagpipes as well.
00:00:44.200 Well, good evening, everybody.
00:00:46.040 So welcome to another Empower Hour.
00:00:49.340 I am so excited about presenting these wonderful colleagues I get to work with,
00:00:55.260 these wonderful Canadians and beautiful human beings that I've had the privilege to get to know.
00:01:00.540 I'm sitting in some big shoes or big seat right now,
00:01:04.680 so I'm a little intimidated, I guess, without Tanya Gaw here at the helm,
00:01:10.560 but she's busy at work in, you know, in Kelowna,
00:01:14.820 and so we will be able to hear from her, though.
00:01:17.080 She will be speaking to us via pre-recording.
00:01:21.760 So she's still here, and she's with us in spirit for sure.
00:01:25.860 Well, thank you also.
00:01:26.860 Yes, as you said in my introduction, I was born and raised actually in Calgary, Alberta,
00:01:32.600 and I'm currently still here.
00:01:35.820 So, yeah, I've been following Tanya's trailblazing since January of 2020,
00:01:40.880 and through the Action for Canada newsletters and petitions.
00:01:44.520 That's how I got started.
00:01:46.980 And then moving on into chapter leadership in 2021,
00:01:51.420 and then progressing on into various levels of organization.
00:01:56.840 So I helped to organize the regional units that we have, regional leaders,
00:02:01.580 and then moved into the coordinating position in June of 2022, actually.
00:02:06.700 So it's been a pretty amazing couple of years,
00:02:11.020 and I was not an activist by background, a school teacher for 21 years,
00:02:17.220 but I knew that, you know, these were very consequential times.
00:02:22.380 And so I knew my abilities as a teacher, a good organizer,
00:02:27.100 and I knew also that, you know, somebody had to step up.
00:02:31.180 And I'm not risk adverse in general.
00:02:33.560 I usually like to live in the mystery, and it's okay to not always know what the next step is,
00:02:40.920 but you know when you're taking the right step.
00:02:43.000 And so for me, that was coming on to Action for Canada.
00:02:46.820 So I am just so blessed.
00:02:48.960 I'm just busting.
00:02:49.740 I can't wait to get the different guests on from across the country.
00:02:54.740 And what I really hope tonight, for those of you listening,
00:02:59.100 and then maybe those of you who will be watching later by recording,
00:03:03.960 is that you can see yourself in these individuals that have stepped up at really important time in their life,
00:03:11.860 and, you know, have been able to, you know, take the step that they didn't know they needed to take.
00:03:17.420 And then one step after the other, it brought them into the place where they are right now,
00:03:22.080 and they're just doing such a great job coast to coast.
00:03:26.000 That's another thing that was so unifying about working with Action for Canada,
00:03:30.120 is that I get to meet these incredible people.
00:03:33.300 And in every little location across the country, the same voice, the same intentions,
00:03:40.580 the same heart is being expressed.
00:03:42.340 And it's really love for country, and love for one another,
00:03:46.200 and, you know, really pushing back this tyranny because we love this land.
00:03:50.520 So without going on too much longer, I want to get right to our guests.
00:03:55.660 First up is Luanne.
00:03:58.340 She's our first speaker.
00:03:59.280 So Luanne is our powerful and effective chapter leader for Norfolk County, Ontario.
00:04:06.760 Luanne describes herself as a true introvert,
00:04:10.140 whom God has led through many activities of Christian leadership and training over the decades,
00:04:16.780 particularly in music and children's and youth ministry.
00:04:20.920 She's a wife, a mother of daughters who are far away.
00:04:24.560 She's a home-based private music teacher and a precept Bible study leader,
00:04:30.140 as well as an occasional actor and sock model and narrator.
00:04:35.600 I just love that.
00:04:37.560 She says she is definitely not a good housekeeper and barely a decent cook,
00:04:42.680 but in ordinary times, she'd be out walking her dog in the cherry orchard,
00:04:47.800 hanging out with her husband and cats,
00:04:50.080 playing music with friends or digging around in her gardens.
00:04:53.000 If God had not called her to rise and shine and join Action for Canada.
00:04:58.820 So I am so honoured to bring our first guest, Luanne.
00:05:03.280 Hello, Luanne.
00:05:05.500 Oh, Kim, thank you so much for that great introduction.
00:05:09.860 You're welcome.
00:05:11.000 And not a word of a lie.
00:05:12.440 Nobody has died of my cooking yet, so this is a good thing.
00:05:16.780 That's great.
00:05:17.620 That's great.
00:05:18.120 Well, Luanne, what I want to do is I'd like to just give the floor over to you,
00:05:23.620 but I know that you have a couple of points you want to share,
00:05:26.880 but I was just so delighted when you came on to the team,
00:05:29.500 and you just bring such a joy and such a flair to the job.
00:05:34.360 I remember when you first came on, you were like,
00:05:36.940 oh, my goodness, how do I do these NOLs?
00:05:39.180 And I need a call.
00:05:40.700 Give me a phone call to figure out how I'm supposed to do this.
00:05:43.200 And then when the pressure was off, you just really sunk into the role.
00:05:48.720 And I even remember that last call where you're like, go, granny, go.
00:05:52.920 So I would love it if you could just share a little bit of your journey
00:05:57.260 of what brought you to Action for Canada,
00:05:59.500 and then what are some of the things that are going on in Norfolk?
00:06:02.300 So many great things.
00:06:04.320 Thank you.
00:06:05.480 Well, I come to this late in life.
00:06:08.800 I found Action for Canada, I think I started listening to Tanya
00:06:14.020 and the webinars, the Empower Hours, probably 2021 around January,
00:06:20.060 and I was getting very concerned about what was going on with the lockdown,
00:06:26.580 and I'm not going to dignify it with any other name than that.
00:06:29.440 Sorry.
00:06:30.580 But part of my thing is I've worked in children's ministry for so long,
00:06:36.260 and my heart really is for the nurture and protection of children.
00:06:41.720 And I also worked for a time in the school system
00:06:44.720 and saw what was coming down the pipe, and that was very concerning to me.
00:06:49.560 So that's my heart.
00:06:51.000 My heart is young moms and children and protecting them and nurturing them.
00:06:56.740 And let me just say, first of all,
00:06:59.580 that being a true introvert doesn't mean you're a shy person.
00:07:02.280 And so there are comfort zones and comfort zones.
00:07:09.520 So I got involved, as I said, last spring, really, 2022,
00:07:15.100 when I heard the call.
00:07:16.720 I heard God call me to rise and shine to run as a school board trustee
00:07:20.880 in our municipal elections.
00:07:23.120 And I didn't really want to do that because I told my mother that I was doing that.
00:07:27.720 She said, why?
00:07:28.320 And I said, I don't know, I guess I'll be sitting in long, boring meetings
00:07:32.620 where nobody agrees with me, and I get voted down on everything.
00:07:36.060 So, you know, she said, well, at least you're realistic in your expectations.
00:07:41.260 So anyway, I did.
00:07:43.000 With the impetus, I said to the Lord, well, okay, if you've called me,
00:07:47.600 then I'm going to your people locally here because it's your business, not mine.
00:07:53.220 And I went to churches, prayer meetings, and different church services introduced.
00:07:58.200 I boldly stood up and said, ha, when they said any prayer requests, yeah, me.
00:08:02.540 I'm running for school board trustee.
00:08:05.140 Anyway, yeah.
00:08:06.840 So I only lost by 181 votes.
00:08:13.420 And that was a big surprise because I'd never,
00:08:15.580 that whole business was so out of my comfort zone.
00:08:18.940 And that was a significant number of people in our community.
00:08:23.520 That was like 3,500 people that cast their vote because they saw my logo,
00:08:29.280 which was, or my slogan, which was standing up to giants.
00:08:32.920 Anyway, I felt after that run, and I had still so much impetus going for me.
00:08:39.160 I felt I had a duty of care to those folks, and I didn't know quite what to do.
00:08:43.140 And then still staying involved with the webinars and whatnot of Action for Canada,
00:08:49.640 I said, that's what I can do.
00:08:51.640 I can go serve those notices of liability to the school boards.
00:08:55.900 So I did that.
00:08:58.080 And there was no Action for Canada group near me that I could really call on for assistance.
00:09:04.660 And as you know, it takes some time to get to know people when you're doing this,
00:09:09.240 but that was so out of my comfort zone.
00:09:11.380 I was so fearful.
00:09:12.200 I was so full of trepidation at doing that.
00:09:16.280 But the Lord really helped me with that.
00:09:18.480 And then I said, well, Lord, there's nobody here that's representing Action for Canada.
00:09:24.400 Do you want me to do this?
00:09:26.940 And so, you know, my motto for many, many years has been whatever the Lord,
00:09:32.660 whatever your hand finds you to do, do it with all your might as unto the Lord.
00:09:37.780 That's in Ecclesiastes somewhere.
00:09:39.440 And so, you know, I don't have a problem saying, is this the will of God for me?
00:09:43.100 Is this the will?
00:09:43.720 No.
00:09:44.180 If this is in front of your face and it's something that is righteous and God would approve,
00:09:50.420 then you just do it.
00:09:51.520 And so here we are.
00:09:53.180 So, yeah, it's still very terrifying because, like I said, I'm a true introvert and I'm not shy,
00:10:01.420 but crowds really freak me out.
00:10:04.420 So pray for me because I'm looking for people to help me with the summer season
00:10:11.200 because there's festivals and fairs and parades and everything like that.
00:10:14.800 And so if you would pray that the Lord would bring those people to me, that would be really
00:10:19.160 a great thing.
00:10:21.060 I just want to jump in there, though, as much as that sounds terrifying for some to say,
00:10:26.700 oh, how do I do this?
00:10:27.640 And I guess maybe share a little bit about your approach to, like, say, being a rallier.
00:10:34.280 You know, that's always a very intimidating thing is that I don't like conflict.
00:10:38.140 I don't like confrontation.
00:10:39.880 But some of those have to happen.
00:10:41.880 But one of the things that I loved is your your humor and your in your good approach to
00:10:47.560 your silent signage.
00:10:51.140 Yeah.
00:10:52.000 Your strategy for silent signage, which doesn't require any combative arguments or anything
00:10:57.220 at all.
00:10:57.680 It's just to be a presence.
00:10:58.820 So maybe share a little bit about that, too.
00:11:01.980 Sure.
00:11:02.200 My sister has joined me.
00:11:04.420 My baby sister has joined me in this.
00:11:08.260 She's my chief companion when we go out and do things.
00:11:13.840 One of the things that I thought would be maybe to bring action for Canada and the the
00:11:21.240 idea of this terrible win sex ed curriculum to the public eye was to just sit across from
00:11:31.720 the school board building for a couple of hours during the hours when, you know, parents and
00:11:38.220 school buses would be driving by with our huge signs that you can see on the website saying
00:11:43.560 stop exploit sexually exploiting children and just sitting there and doing what I call a
00:11:51.320 remonstration.
00:11:52.300 Now, to remonstrate is to let me read what I wrote down.
00:11:57.460 It's to present and urge reasons in opposition to say or plead in protest, objection or reproof.
00:12:06.420 And I think our signs say it all.
00:12:09.600 This is the criminal code.
00:12:11.860 No one is exempt from the criminal code.
00:12:14.520 Stop doing this.
00:12:15.800 And I don't think many people in the public really realize what the UN has given to our
00:12:25.240 Ontario, at least, Ministry of Education to flood down through the school boards into
00:12:33.520 the schools.
00:12:34.760 And of course, we know here at Action for Canada because we've seen it.
00:12:37.860 But just sitting out there in the freezing cold of April, and we gathered a few people a
00:12:45.200 few times who came to join with us just to stand with us and hold signs with us silently
00:12:51.400 because we're not there to argue with people.
00:12:54.320 We're not there to plead.
00:12:56.680 How would I say that?
00:12:59.960 Well, argue.
00:13:01.140 We're not there to do anything except hand out a piece of paper, which is our little flyer
00:13:05.980 saying, did you know, to people who asked.
00:13:11.240 But in the few weeks that we have done this, and we usually do it when the school board is
00:13:16.520 meeting, the first week we did it, we had no response, very little response.
00:13:22.580 The second time, of course, it was on a busy road where people are prone to drive by at
00:13:27.960 certain times of day.
00:13:29.140 We went from four honks to 50 honks.
00:13:33.100 Right on.
00:13:34.100 And that's a big deal.
00:13:35.200 So, yeah.
00:13:36.660 So that was what our side, and we're going to continue that as long as the school boards
00:13:40.680 are meeting, which I think their last meeting is in June.
00:13:42.920 So we don't have that many, but it won't be hopefully a rainy and cold.
00:13:48.460 Yeah.
00:13:49.260 Well, thanks.
00:13:50.040 Thanks, Luanne.
00:13:50.800 I don't know.
00:13:51.320 Is there, we're going to start to move on a little bit, but if you have a couple more
00:13:57.080 words or if you had any thoughts that you wanted to share, I didn't mean to interject
00:14:01.020 there, but, uh, yeah.
00:14:04.060 Yeah.
00:14:04.700 Uh, I, I am, uh, 18 years older than I was when I was 50 and told the Lord that I, that
00:14:13.340 more than half my life had gone by and I knew how much of it I'd wasted it.
00:14:17.580 And I just want to encourage every single one of you out there who is watching this to take
00:14:24.920 stock of your life and to make the last half count.
00:14:29.820 Um, we can go, uh, we're going downhill fast, but we're going out with a bang.
00:14:35.480 It's better to what wear out than to rust out.
00:14:39.260 And so if God has called you through any of the messages of action for Canada at any time
00:14:45.600 of your life to rise and shine and be a witness in the community and stand for good, for righteousness,
00:14:53.800 just do it.
00:14:55.840 He'll provide everything you need that you, um, he'll stretch you in ways you didn't know
00:15:01.880 you were going to be stretched and don't be afraid.
00:15:05.340 It's a worthy cause.
00:15:06.580 Just do it.
00:15:07.920 Oh, Luanne.
00:15:08.980 Thank you so much.
00:15:09.800 Those are wise words.
00:15:11.500 Just do it.
00:15:12.760 Alrighty.
00:15:13.520 Thank you so much.
00:15:15.980 Our next guests, there's two of them.
00:15:18.620 Actually, they'll be joined together.
00:15:20.400 Our Donna and Lori from Oxford County, Ontario.
00:15:24.280 So Donna currently retired.
00:15:28.100 Donna was an entrepreneur with over 33 years of experience running a retail clothing business.
00:15:34.280 She had planned to live out her retirement, taking care of her family, husband, four children,
00:15:40.760 grandchildren, house and farm.
00:15:44.280 Donna loves to be in the kitchen.
00:15:45.740 So look forward to further developing her skills in canning, curing meats, gardening, sourdough
00:15:52.880 artisan bread, making cheese, making, and sewing.
00:15:56.900 However, then the pandemic happened and Donna could see the government was taking this opportunity
00:16:04.100 to seize control and take away our rights.
00:16:08.560 Donna has always understood and valued personal liberty and individual autonomy and could not
00:16:14.560 help, but be concerned by the lockdowns and mandates that were being imposed.
00:16:19.820 She began to see that the governments were using this crisis as an opportunity to implement
00:16:25.780 policies that were not in the best interest of their citizens.
00:16:30.240 As many tyrants have said, don't let a good crisis go to waste.
00:16:34.080 So after researching and learning about the impactful boots on the ground that Action for Canada is
00:16:39.960 doing, Donna felt a deep obligation to join the A4C team as a volunteer.
00:16:48.240 So joining Donna tonight is her co-leader, Lori.
00:16:53.600 So Lori is happily married, mother of three grown sons and stepmom to three grown sons.
00:17:00.500 Yes, that's right.
00:17:02.580 Lori is mother of six fine young men, ages 23 to 35.
00:17:08.960 Lori is also blessed to be a grandma to three grandchildren and one more on the way.
00:17:15.920 Born and raised in Oxford County, Ontario, she loves Canada and Action for Canada.
00:17:22.360 Though she also didn't see this coming for her retirement, she says she is so thankful it has.
00:17:28.920 Lori believes volunteering with Action for Canada has given her the God-given foundational truth
00:17:35.400 to confidently stand up to the giants.
00:17:38.620 So please welcome Donna and Lori to the program.
00:17:48.060 Hello.
00:17:49.860 Thank you for the introduction.
00:17:52.100 You're welcome.
00:17:53.080 Hi, good to see you both together.
00:17:54.720 Well, I wanted to bring you both on because I wanted to show our audience that you don't
00:18:01.380 actually have to go it alone.
00:18:02.820 Even though you're a leader, there's actually a whole team that's around you to do this.
00:18:08.080 So you really kind of prefer to be co-leaders and share that.
00:18:12.360 So Donna, I think you've taken the primary role of leader and Lori, you've stepped up into
00:18:16.820 co-leading.
00:18:18.020 Now you were also with Oxford County for quite some time.
00:18:22.520 We had our former leader, Peter, who's done just a tremendous job with that chapter, but
00:18:28.900 needed to step away because life circumstances and still is not gone, but just sort of playing
00:18:35.880 more of a background role.
00:18:37.580 So what I'd like to do is maybe we can just start with Donna and then move to Lori.
00:18:42.860 But maybe Donna, if you would just, you know, share a little bit of what's in your heart that
00:18:47.900 you can motivate the audience or just share a little bit of the wins that you've been
00:18:53.100 doing.
00:18:53.680 In particular, I know we, when we discussed earlier the story that you have to tell about
00:19:00.340 your response to a town council and the way they were maligning our men in general.
00:19:09.580 And that really broke your heart.
00:19:12.120 And so I wanted, if you wouldn't mind, just sharing a little bit about that.
00:19:15.380 And then we'll ask Lori to speak a bit too.
00:19:19.280 Okay.
00:19:19.640 Did you want me to read the letter?
00:19:21.620 Yeah, that would be really great.
00:19:23.000 So maybe give some background there for the audience of what was going on.
00:19:26.360 And then you could read the letter that you were prompted to write.
00:19:29.460 Okay.
00:19:29.800 Well, this, this all happened in a little town called Norwich and they, there was a city,
00:19:37.500 a town council meeting regarding a flying non, non-governmental flags.
00:19:44.400 And that was the pride flag.
00:19:45.780 And it turned out that city council turned it down and there was a heated debate in between
00:19:57.500 and there was some things that were said in some presentations that I found just very,
00:20:01.720 very offensive.
00:20:04.020 So if I can, I can just go ahead and read it because I think it's self-explanatory.
00:20:08.900 Yeah, please do.
00:20:10.460 Yeah.
00:20:10.760 Okay.
00:20:11.380 I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and offense at your final presentation.
00:20:16.160 This was directed to a certain counsellor, which I won't name.
00:20:19.900 Your presentation is an example of a racial profiling because it suggests that all individuals
00:20:24.600 that fit your profiling as white, cisgender and male are in the most powerful positions
00:20:30.380 and therefore inherently privileged.
00:20:32.900 This type of thinking is not based on scientific evidence or imperial data, but instead relies
00:20:37.960 on made up ideology that is diverse, divisive and harmful.
00:20:43.700 Your statement also suggests that discomfort is a sign of privilege.
00:20:47.320 This is a flawed premise because many factors can cause discomfort and are not necessarily an
00:20:52.100 indicator of privilege.
00:20:52.940 Additionally, by suggesting that certain individuals are privileged solely because
00:20:56.520 of their race, gender, ideology and sexual orientation, your statement perpetrates harmful
00:21:02.820 stereotypes.
00:21:03.960 It can lead to increased division among different groups and people.
00:21:08.540 Overall statements like these do not promote equality or understanding among different groups,
00:21:13.260 but rather promote hate and discrimination.
00:21:15.460 We must base our understanding on individuals and groups on accurate, evidence-based research
00:21:21.940 rather than stereotyping and made-up ideologies.
00:21:25.200 I found your message extremely troubling to my husband and the men in my family.
00:21:29.580 As a mother of three boys and grandsons, I was particularly disturbed by your characterization
00:21:34.360 of white, cisgender males as oppressors and purveyors of toxic masculinity.
00:21:39.080 These harmful stereotypes not only perpetrate division and resentment, but also are hateful and demeaned
00:21:48.960 the character of countless good and decent men who work hard and sacrifice for their families
00:21:53.920 and communities every day.
00:21:55.580 I am proud to say that I raise my boys to be loving and compassionate men who understand
00:22:00.420 the value of hard work, making sacrifices to achieve their goals.
00:22:04.240 They have always been taught to contribute positively to society and give back to their communities.
00:22:10.420 Despite facing many challenges along the way, they have persevered and are continuing to work hard
00:22:16.280 to pay off their school debt.
00:22:17.500 Contrary to the narrative you presented, my sons were not privileged and sometimes held two jobs
00:22:22.520 to make ends meet.
00:22:23.720 During their university summer breaks, my sons worked in scorching hot weather with a construction
00:22:29.660 coming, digging ditches for sewers, rainwater, drainage, which was a very dirty and back-breaking
00:22:34.640 job.
00:22:36.160 While we should acknowledge and address the injustices of the past, we cannot continue to perpetrate
00:22:41.340 harmful stereotypes and perpetrate division.
00:22:43.360 We need to come together as a community, regardless of our differences, and work together towards
00:22:49.140 a brighter future that is inclusive and respectful for all individuals.
00:22:56.660 I'm sorry, I just had lost my camera.
00:23:00.200 In a democratic society, it is unfair to favor one group over another by flying a particular
00:23:06.140 group's flag over others.
00:23:07.880 All groups should receive fair and equitable treatment.
00:23:10.080 While we should all like to feel special, a policy of flying only government flags on publicly
00:23:15.700 funded buildings is a fair and equitable solution.
00:23:18.820 We should be standing under one country's flag.
00:23:22.380 A councillor's position, it is essential that decisions are made based on fairness and the
00:23:30.400 rule of law, rather than personal ideology, feelings, and made-up theories.
00:23:34.520 I believe your presentation failed to hold up these principles and caused significant harm to
00:23:39.220 those who identify with the group you targeted.
00:23:43.000 I urge you to take responsibility for the impact of your presentation and issue a public
00:23:49.300 apology to those affected.
00:23:51.720 Additionally, I would appreciate if you could take steps to educate yourself on the issues
00:23:55.740 you discussed in your presentation to avoid perpetrating harmful stereotypes in the future.
00:24:01.320 I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the members of the council and mayor that
00:24:07.240 voted responsibly on the issue.
00:24:12.040 I want to make it clear that I believe intentions were not meant to come across as offensive, but
00:24:18.920 still feel that more could have been done to prevent her harmful presentation from continuing.
00:24:24.740 As community leaders, it is important that our elected officials prioritize treating all members of the
00:24:30.600 community with dignity and respect and take action to prevent the perpetration of harmful and divisive
00:24:36.700 ideologies.
00:24:37.320 I respectfully urge you to take this matter seriously and take steps to ensure that such situation does
00:24:43.940 not arise again in the future.
00:24:45.940 And then I just thanked her.
00:24:48.140 And that was my letter.
00:24:50.280 I was just deeply offended, not only for my children, but many young men that I know, many husbands that I know,
00:24:57.120 many, many of those take those dirty jobs that we are that that benefit society and that we, you know,
00:25:04.900 enjoy every day and we don't have to, you know, it's brought us up to, to, to where we are today, you know,
00:25:12.400 and yeah, so I just thought that was an unfair portrayal.
00:25:17.220 Yeah, I agree, Donna, and I remember seeing your letter come across and, and the fact is, you just took the
00:25:24.860 initiative to be able to, you know, put your opinion out there.
00:25:28.420 Now, have you always been somebody that would be would have done that in the past?
00:25:32.360 Or do you feel more compelled to do that?
00:25:35.200 Knowing that, you know, we we do need to hold these, these people accountable, or yeah, have you done this
00:25:40.980 before?
00:25:41.400 Is it new to you?
00:25:42.200 I, I've done it before.
00:25:44.160 I always loved the law.
00:25:46.800 I've always loved the law.
00:25:48.060 I've always studied law in my spare time.
00:25:50.380 I didn't go to school for it.
00:25:51.720 So I had a basic understanding and knowledge of, of, you know, individual rights, our liberties,
00:26:00.440 body autonomy.
00:26:03.560 And just understanding the fact that the public servants, that's what they are.
00:26:08.800 They're public servants.
00:26:10.080 We are their bosses.
00:26:10.980 We are the taxpayers.
00:26:12.200 And that's gotten forgotten.
00:26:13.920 And I think we have every right to make them accountable and ask them the tough questions
00:26:18.240 and expect an answer back.
00:26:19.760 I'm expecting an answer back from this letter, by the way.
00:26:22.520 I'm going to take a second step.
00:26:24.420 Because she, as a public official, she has to, I feel she has to reply to me.
00:26:31.540 Yeah, I agree.
00:26:32.320 And thank you so much for your stand.
00:26:35.500 I know there's certain people in our population that the, you know, tyrannical left wants to target.
00:26:43.380 And almost, in fact, that there was a wheel of power and privilege is what was being shared.
00:26:50.700 And in that, it looks very much like a bullseye, like a dartboard.
00:26:55.160 And, you know, I'm really getting tired of being sliced and diced.
00:26:58.080 You know, we are all human, part of the human family.
00:27:01.200 And so I really appreciate your bold stand and for, you know, speaking up for people that seem to be getting the shots quite a bit and unfairly so.
00:27:11.160 So thank you for that, Donna.
00:27:12.120 I'm just going to ask maybe, Laurie, if you could share a little bit about your journey as you've come to this new position of co-leader and just a little bit about your involvement with Action for Canada.
00:27:28.000 Yes, absolutely.
00:27:29.160 Thank you for having me.
00:27:30.920 And, yes, Action for Canada, you've been a godsend to me.
00:27:35.100 Oh, my goodness.
00:27:36.280 Thank you, Tanya and team.
00:27:37.660 And Donna and Peter, the former co-leader of Oxford County, has been the anchor as well for me to have someone local to go to with the same values and heart as Tanya and team.
00:27:56.240 And for this honor to work with Donna now for only four weeks, maybe.
00:28:01.960 And, but boy, young lady, Donna, I admire this lady so much.
00:28:10.040 She's, yeah, I lift you up, Donna.
00:28:14.920 I admire your passion.
00:28:17.180 And for me, she's allowing me this opportunity.
00:28:22.260 I've been so thankful for this opportunity to just stand up for my community.
00:28:27.280 Born and raised here, I am equally upset, as Donna was saying.
00:28:33.640 For our six sons, future, and now our fourth grandchild on the way, anything that I can do and to be empowered.
00:28:42.820 These empower hours for the last year or so with Action for Canada, as it says, has been empowering.
00:28:50.780 I just yesterday put in, for Oxford County, we have eight municipalities, and unfortunately, only one municipality has voted down the flags in the month of June community events.
00:29:08.040 And unfortunately, we have Woodstock is the main city for Oxford County.
00:29:15.220 And the mayor there is a real piece of work, if I may say so nicely.
00:29:20.880 And also in Zora County, I'm getting to know he is not only the mayor of our county, but the warden for Oxford County, for our township, I was going to say.
00:29:35.320 Anyway, so just yesterday, I went to the township closest to me and filled out a delegation request form to speak at the next township meeting.
00:29:46.720 It's not something that I'm used to, but I am willing to lay myself down for this, because as of April 19th, they have already had a council meeting with the request to fly the flag form.
00:30:00.180 And there was barely any discussion, the councillor's just yay and second, and it was carried.
00:30:07.500 And I went back to find that.
00:30:08.960 Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make that meeting, but I will be heard.
00:30:13.460 And thank you, Tanya, for this letter.
00:30:16.040 I have already submitted it as my reference of why I want to speak, and it has emboldened me.
00:30:22.600 So I look forward to that, as well as I am the local crossing guard, and I have become very, very public, well-known for the last two school years here.
00:30:35.980 They've put me in the paper.
00:30:38.080 I've been the, oh, what do they call that, in the parade marshal.
00:30:42.580 They've had me there last year in the Victoria Day parade.
00:30:45.840 And I, as a mandatory reporter, I want to hold that, that I went to our local library and found books that I will, I get overwhelmed with passion here.
00:31:03.100 But I do want to bring that to the mayor of our township and the council members.
00:31:07.920 If they are choosing, beyond their elected position, to uphold neutrality, as you say, that, as far as I'm concerned, they may step down.
00:31:20.340 And I will say that.
00:31:21.800 I will not look for anything else if they can't represent everyone in the community with respect for our differences.
00:31:31.540 And only under those three flags of Canadian, provincial, and municipality.
00:31:38.360 Anything less than that, I'm willing to go further and be a thorn in their side, at the very least.
00:31:47.740 Wonderful.
00:31:48.380 And you seem so nice and gentle to be a thorn in anybody's side.
00:31:52.220 I couldn't imagine it.
00:31:53.920 But, you know, thank you so much for your tenacity.
00:31:56.140 Thank you for your passion, for all these matters that are near and dear to our heart.
00:32:01.980 I know I've seen a lot of your pictures on the Walk for Revival campaign.
00:32:06.600 And you have those wonderful yellow boots.
00:32:09.340 So I just encourage our guests to watch our Rumble feed, where we have a halftime special.
00:32:16.320 I'll show it a little bit later, just where to find it.
00:32:18.720 But there's a picture of Lori standing there on the corner with her Walk for Revival Christian flag and her yellow boots.
00:32:25.740 And it's just such a joy to see that.
00:32:28.020 So thank you both ladies so much for all the work that you're doing.
00:32:31.620 And we look forward to hearing back from the accountability that you're bringing to these council members to bring dignity back into the office and to be fairly representing all members of society.
00:32:44.800 So thank you so much.
00:32:47.240 Thank you.
00:32:48.200 Thank you.
00:32:48.620 All right.
00:32:49.980 Next up, a lovely gentleman that I met just recently.
00:32:55.260 Well, actually, he was here in Calgary for a whirlwind trip.
00:32:59.640 And we were able to sit down and have coffee and have a really good chat face to face.
00:33:04.200 And it was wonderful to meet Bill from Sault Ste. Marie.
00:33:08.180 Here's me, Western girl, Alberta girl.
00:33:11.260 I hope I said that right.
00:33:12.600 Not South St.
00:33:14.920 Ramirez and butchering it, but Sault Ste. Marie.
00:33:18.720 Bill is retired from a career in the electrical supply and sales business.
00:33:23.720 He's the father of four daughters and has four grandchildren.
00:33:27.900 Bill and his family have a tradition of serving their communities as volunteers.
00:33:32.640 Bill has been a provincial election candidate.
00:33:35.740 He has been a local leader in the pro-life movement for years.
00:33:39.360 He has served as a school board trustee, and currently he has leadership roles in local political organizations at the provincial and federal levels.
00:33:50.180 Bill assumed the A for C chapter leadership only a few months ago and works with his co-leader, Arnold.
00:33:56.620 Together, they have made a splash in their community, already making it into the local newspapers.
00:34:02.280 Here to tell us more about the tremendous work happening in Sault Ste. Marie, please help us welcome Bill.
00:34:12.700 Hi, Bill.
00:34:14.340 Hi, Kim.
00:34:15.140 Good to see you again.
00:34:16.280 Good to see you.
00:34:17.440 Good to see you.
00:34:18.180 I'd rather have a coffee with you than doing this, but this is a good second best.
00:34:23.180 Oh, thank you.
00:34:23.820 Well, Bill, like I said in the intro there, you know, from almost day one, you were running out the gates.
00:34:32.060 And as we bring on new leaders, there's a process to help people be mentored and to partner them up to understand kind of the ropes with Action for Canada as an organization and all our resources and materials.
00:34:43.820 And suddenly within a week or two, we were getting an email from you saying, okay, I've made it to the local papers.
00:34:51.100 And how am I going to respond to this, the flurry that has been created because we've been activating some of the resources and spreading it out into the community.
00:35:01.280 So why don't you maybe start with what brought you in and then maybe give us an insight of what went on with that and then the resolution that came.
00:35:10.200 Okay, my story was Action for Canada and Sault Ste.
00:35:16.520 We began when the lockdowns happened and so much was going on then.
00:35:21.900 But I became exposed to Action for Canada because people in the community were aware of this very positive strategy of notice of liabilities.
00:35:33.400 So they were being used.
00:35:35.620 The Action for Canada group was basically, wasn't really helping a lot because everyone was so busy.
00:35:44.540 There wasn't a core group developed.
00:35:47.920 But so it was Action for Canada material was always available.
00:35:55.740 And we were very much aware in our community of that material.
00:36:00.520 But we moved along to February 2023 and we had a drag queen story hour at our library and a group of citizens decided to oppose the event.
00:36:12.620 And this progressed into investigating some of the pornographic materials in our libraries and schools.
00:36:18.560 So this local group adopted a working name of kids first and we mobilized our objective was to make parents aware and inform them that they had options about withdrawing their children from classes that were objectionable.
00:36:32.900 So this is where we connected, reconnected with Action for Canada because we created a flyer that we wanted to hand out to parents at schools as they picked up their children.
00:36:47.180 And we only had, our objective was to get it done before spring break.
00:36:51.460 And we only had a week window in order to do that.
00:36:54.340 So we drafted a pamphlet and really borrowed heavily from Action for Canada material.
00:37:00.360 And then I contacted Action for Canada to say, okay, what do you think of this stuff, right?
00:37:06.300 And many people here may know that Action for Canada is very careful about what is published under their banner.
00:37:14.500 And we had, and any public releases have to be run by the editor and vetted.
00:37:20.540 So what happened was, because we were up against this hard timeline, we published under Kids First, not Action for Canada, and we handed out these flyers.
00:37:31.960 And these flyers were accepted by parents with no problem.
00:37:35.620 And it was sort of a nice thing to do.
00:37:39.160 But then the public school board put out a press release that condemned what we were doing.
00:37:45.680 And that caused what we call the local flyer fury in town.
00:37:51.940 And there is a very good amount of local media coverage on this event, back and forth between conversations.
00:38:00.880 And of course, all this time, I'm trying to keep Action for Canada informed of what's going on.
00:38:07.100 Because it was very, their material, our material was really obvious on our pamphlet.
00:38:13.460 But so what happened was, because this became such a public thing, Tanya decided to write an official Action for Canada release to our local media.
00:38:24.420 And a lot more than one media published her release in its entirely.
00:38:30.360 And we really considered this a big win.
00:38:33.760 We had a lot of wins when we did this effort.
00:38:36.240 This whole sex ed conversation was in the public eye for a good two weeks.
00:38:45.540 And then the largest school board sent parents instructions on how they could have their children opt out of sex ed classes.
00:38:54.360 Wonderful.
00:38:55.300 So we really, really did achieve our objective.
00:38:58.240 Even so, it was a bit of a dialogue or back and forth between Action for Canada and our local action.
00:39:06.160 So that really launched us.
00:39:08.340 Had a lot of energy around that.
00:39:10.820 And since then, my colleague Arnold Haino has joined our leadership team.
00:39:15.720 And I really appreciate the care that Action for Canada has taken about just talking personally
00:39:23.200 at more than one level with someone who's coming on as a leader.
00:39:27.580 And we'd like to have a third core member of our leadership team.
00:39:34.480 Since then, too, we've delivered NOLs to our city councillors.
00:39:38.920 And I'd like to point out that Arnold showed, like, we're working with the community, right?
00:39:46.380 Not everyone's an Action for Canada person.
00:39:49.260 But the people that are going to use Action for Canada notice of liability and deliver it to the city councillors,
00:39:56.140 Arnold made sure they saw the video that's on our site about watching one group, I think it was in BC,
00:40:03.760 do this process, delivering, going down to City Hall and delivering the notice of liability.
00:40:08.940 And that really, really helped them do a better job on how to do that work.
00:40:15.740 And we've also begun the Walk for Revival initiative in Sault Ste. Marie.
00:40:21.760 So I'd like to summarize this way.
00:40:26.880 Action for Canada has been jump-started.
00:40:29.160 It was dormant in our community.
00:40:30.740 And then we hit an issue, we used the material, we connected with you,
00:40:36.440 and there's been dialogue between your level and our community level.
00:40:42.400 And I really hope that our increased visibility will involve more volunteers at the local chapter.
00:40:49.020 And we continue to work with like-minded people locally.
00:40:52.740 And we inform Action for Canada regional leaders of any activity or issues in our town.
00:40:59.680 And we look for ways to apply Action for Canada resources and initiatives where they can impact locally.
00:41:08.580 And I'd like to say sometimes we're winning, even when it doesn't look like we're winning,
00:41:16.020 and even when it doesn't feel like we're winning.
00:41:18.480 But this effort that I just told you about was a big win.
00:41:23.400 And at the time it was, yeah, it wasn't entirely comfortable.
00:41:29.560 But I had been thinking about Psalm 27 where it says, iron sharpens irons, and so men sharpen men.
00:41:37.360 And when we rub up against each other and exercise our inspiration and do not let fear rule,
00:41:50.840 we'll do better, we'll learn better, and we'll get better and stronger all the time.
00:41:55.020 And that's it.
00:41:57.260 Right on, Bill.
00:41:58.180 Well, thank you so much.
00:41:59.520 Thank you for those words of wisdom as well.
00:42:01.440 And thank you for the way you've described the partnership that happens between national, A for C, and the local.
00:42:08.460 Because obviously the issues that are sensitive to your community,
00:42:12.860 we want to respond to in a way that makes sense for your community.
00:42:16.220 But of course, still speaking with one voice nationally.
00:42:19.020 But I really appreciate you, Bill, so much, and Arnold, for kick-starting again a chapter that had gone quiet for a while.
00:42:27.940 And some of our chapters have, because we are volunteer-run.
00:42:31.920 Every single person that is volunteer as a chapter leader is a volunteer.
00:42:35.900 And some have jobs still.
00:42:38.780 Many of you, as you've heard, are in retirement.
00:42:41.740 And so they may have a little more flexibility with time, but then there's energy.
00:42:46.920 And there's full lives with grandchildren and whatnot.
00:42:50.140 So I so appreciate everybody that steps up to the plate and just does what they can in their community.
00:42:56.260 And then let it lead from there.
00:42:59.080 So thank you so much, Bill.
00:43:01.260 Thank you, Kim.
00:43:02.880 Right on.
00:43:03.960 Okay.
00:43:06.720 Okay, next up.
00:43:08.340 Actually, we're going to make our way westward now.
00:43:11.500 So we've been camped out there in Ontario for a little while, but we're going to go westward.
00:43:15.660 And I would like to invite Colin from Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, to the Empower Hour.
00:43:22.280 Hello, Kim.
00:43:23.400 Hello.
00:43:24.260 So Colin is a father, a grandfather, concerned about his children and grandchildren's future freedoms and rights.
00:43:32.220 Being retired, Colin says he would love to sit back while enjoying the golden years.
00:43:37.160 But there is nothing more important to him than advocating for the freedoms of the children of tomorrow.
00:43:44.480 Not one for the spotlight.
00:43:46.500 And being of humble nature, it took some convincing for Colin to come on tonight to share his consistent good efforts to raise awareness of the issues in his border town.
00:43:58.240 I know he agreed as a personal favor to me, and he knows, I think, the world of him.
00:44:04.000 So welcome, Colin, to the show.
00:44:07.160 Thank you, Kim.
00:44:08.220 Great introduction.
00:44:09.520 More than what I had said.
00:44:14.320 Go ahead.
00:44:16.060 Like I said, Colin, I'm just so blessed to have you on the show.
00:44:20.380 And to mention, just for people that don't know the geography of Canada, which I've come to learn a lot more now, Lloydminster is actually right on the border between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
00:44:31.660 And so on the one hand, part of their municipality is governed by Alberta law, and then their education system is governed by Saskatchewan law.
00:44:40.620 So it's quite a complex situation.
00:44:43.860 And yeah, Colin, you've been with us for quite some time.
00:44:47.620 And like we talked about earlier, you've just been such a consistent presence in your community.
00:44:53.760 You know, giving the information and just being open to the conversation and opening up the conversation within your community on issues that are important and impact Lloydminster.
00:45:05.160 So, yeah, I think what I would like to do is just kind of turn it over to you a little bit and ask you, you know, what brought you to A4C?
00:45:13.800 And then we'll go from there.
00:45:16.560 Thanks, Kim.
00:45:17.400 Well, what brought me to A4C, just like everybody else, COVID brought, came in.
00:45:26.140 I was born in the 50s, nine years after the World War II, grew up in the 60s.
00:45:35.700 And I had some good teachers that told us or made us realize the importance of our immune system and taking care of it all the way through.
00:45:45.760 We were given a wonderful body by God.
00:45:48.540 And if we just give it the nutrition it needs, it can take care of itself.
00:45:54.100 So when COVID hit, it kind of brought back a little bit of a memory because when, of course, it happened in China.
00:46:03.740 And they laid all the bodies out and everybody see the bodies that supposedly came from a lab.
00:46:11.140 They didn't know.
00:46:11.940 They instilled the fear in everybody.
00:46:13.880 Then it went to Italy.
00:46:15.800 They did the same there.
00:46:17.660 But previous to that, I knew both my grandfathers enlisted to fight for freedom in the World War II.
00:46:26.680 I knew that down through the ages of man, it was a continuous battle, good against evil.
00:46:32.700 And it just goes on every 60 years or so.
00:46:38.320 I grew up during the Vietnam War, of course.
00:46:42.860 And that was kind of terrible, I think.
00:46:47.900 But I made up my mind then that if I have to, I will fight and defend my country on my soil.
00:46:54.880 But I'd never go anyplace else.
00:46:56.560 So I joined the reserve militia when I was 16.
00:46:59.980 We took about communism.
00:47:01.260 We took about biological warfare.
00:47:03.060 We took about chemical warfare.
00:47:04.700 And we took about psychological warfare.
00:47:07.380 So when this come out and happened to be in China, it just set me back.
00:47:12.360 I think, oh, here it is.
00:47:13.440 I knew it was going to come sooner or later.
00:47:15.040 So from China to Italy, and then it's coming into Canada, I freaked out.
00:47:26.000 I went and I put in a quarantine area in my garage.
00:47:29.540 I bought all the personal protection equipment.
00:47:31.680 I had hazmat suits.
00:47:32.880 I was ready for it.
00:47:34.640 And so I started watching these mortality rates, and they weren't really going up.
00:47:42.400 And in July, I started hearing about people who were curing themselves on doctors who took the oath to do no harm.
00:47:53.340 And they were actually curing their patients from COVID.
00:47:57.360 So I thought, oh, here we go.
00:47:58.860 We've got relief here.
00:47:59.940 It's not going to continue on.
00:48:02.600 But then they were soon getting censored.
00:48:05.200 And so I started looking for something to stand up for myself.
00:48:10.040 Now, if I ever had to go to the hospital, and that's where they wouldn't let you in if you didn't have a shot or you had to have a shot before you get seen.
00:48:18.420 So I started getting the documentation together so that I could stand up for my rights.
00:48:27.420 Then I come across Action for Canada, and I noticed that they had already done all the work that I was trying to do.
00:48:34.180 November of 2021, I joined as a volunteer, and I waited.
00:48:44.880 Couldn't find no chapter leader.
00:48:47.120 So I stood up.
00:48:53.020 That was, well, November, I guess, middle of December by the time I got vetted.
00:48:58.180 And we started having rallies every Saturday.
00:49:02.480 Since then, we've had 68 in a row, 69th coming up this Saturday.
00:49:08.300 And when it was 30 below, I tell you, we had some girls out there who weren't dressed very good.
00:49:13.480 And we had heaters in the tent just to keep them going.
00:49:16.600 We're signing NOLs, and we're getting ready to serve.
00:49:19.960 And in the summertime, well, we had to drop the tent down that one time, and we had everybody hanging on to the corners because the wind was coming up, and it was trying to blow us away.
00:49:32.520 And, well, when we first started, we were getting more fingers and, how can I say, remarks go home.
00:49:42.600 You don't like it here.
00:49:43.760 You don't think we got the freedom.
00:49:45.320 Because we're always, freedom was always our main thing.
00:49:47.600 We had a freedom sign up.
00:49:48.700 And so, now, we started keeping track, and it got better and better and better.
00:49:58.220 And I think the last time we kept track, we had 750-plus honks in two hours.
00:50:04.580 Right on.
00:50:05.520 Yeah.
00:50:05.840 Wonderful.
00:50:06.660 Wonderful.
00:50:07.040 And we still get the occasional person drive by, flip us a finger.
00:50:12.700 But, you know, there's 1% that will never, they're always there.
00:50:18.220 Right.
00:50:18.520 So, that's really good there.
00:50:20.420 We continued to it.
00:50:21.680 We're going to continue standing there until this is all straightened out.
00:50:26.720 So, we did some thinking.
00:50:28.420 Our numbers weren't growing.
00:50:29.980 You know, we've been doing it for probably three months anyway.
00:50:34.000 And I had made an application to get into a local farmer's market.
00:50:41.160 The trouble with that is half the board was half, and half the board was four.
00:50:46.040 So, it took a little while to come into effect.
00:50:49.700 But, finally, they gave me the call, and I'd say, yeah, for the last year and year and a month, I guess, we've been putting in five hours every Thursday at the farmer's market.
00:51:03.820 Right.
00:51:04.340 Just to let people know we have something else.
00:51:07.800 We don't have to stand up to this tyranny.
00:51:10.800 We don't have to lay down for this tyranny.
00:51:13.260 We can stand up for our rights.
00:51:14.540 The biggest thing that I took away there, we always had the COVID medical directive that Tanya had gotten for us, and we handed out a lot of those.
00:51:26.980 A lot of people are awake.
00:51:29.540 They don't know what to do.
00:51:32.320 A lot of people are victims.
00:51:33.700 Well, we know anybody.
00:51:35.780 They're a victim.
00:51:36.540 There's just no two ways about it.
00:51:38.260 When you have them openly admitting they want to take the world population from seven to one and a half billion people, I don't see how people can not, how can I say, have some common sense and look to see what is actually happening worldwide and bring it into what is happening in Canada.
00:52:04.660 Yeah.
00:52:04.960 Yeah, and that, yeah, for sure.
00:52:07.900 Those are, I love that you're saying that, you know, people have been starting to wake up and, you know, hold people accountable that are making the decisions.
00:52:16.080 And so, and I love the fact that you did that farmer's market just as that constant, consistent presence to be a place to open up discussion and just to have the community come by in a neutral place just to talk about the things that are going on.
00:52:30.600 But that moved you on further to take more active actions with the town council.
00:52:35.980 If you could just maybe in a couple minutes just summarize where you guys are at with what you're pursuing and holding your town council members accountable for in Boydminster.
00:52:46.420 Well, as in all, as in all, most areas in Canada right now, they're bringing in these bylaws.
00:52:55.180 They had a, they said they did a public forum, did some surveys and community preferences is what the community wants.
00:53:06.080 And they base it on 1.1% of the population, believe it or not, just that.
00:53:11.000 So, the, our city, our future connected is, well, when we approached them, we couldn't talk about WEF, we couldn't talk about the powers to be one world order, the UN, otherwise they'd shut us down.
00:53:27.040 So, we're into, we had an open house, they had an open house.
00:53:34.260 I talked to four, four different councillors and the mayor, and they all seemed to put everything away.
00:53:41.020 They kind of, a little bit of, how can I say, oh, I don't think that's happening.
00:53:46.720 But the day after we had that, they had a council meeting, and they opened it up to the public, and we had 20 speakers speak against it.
00:53:58.480 And there was one for it, and just shortly after that, they come out with another plan where they've already got the, the area, they've got the plan in to bring in zero emissions by 2045, increase our population from 30,000 to 50,000 by 2045.
00:54:22.220 They also have a green, net zero, and electric cars, and they have villages, neighborhood villages they're trying to bring in to bring people together and be able to walk to all your enemies.
00:54:37.080 Like, you know, Craig, there's 30 below here at times.
00:54:39.240 Can you imagine, well, I'm 69 years old, you know, walking down to get my groceries or whatever?
00:54:45.660 And yet they say it's the community's preference that they base this on.
00:54:53.020 So it has WF and UN written all over it, and we had told them that they have to make some changes.
00:55:05.280 We do want them to abolish the neighborhood villages.
00:55:07.920 We do want them to abolish the 2045 net zero, because that is what the federal government is trying to do all over Canada.
00:55:16.640 Right.
00:55:17.200 And quite frankly, that is an invasion, as far as I'm concerned.
00:55:23.660 Right.
00:55:24.120 And Tanya has done a great job.
00:55:26.800 Excuse me.
00:55:28.320 Let me go.
00:55:28.820 Tanya and her group has done a great job in coming up with an NOL for the 15-minute cities.
00:55:35.740 Now, that in itself is an information package to state where they're breaking the law and how they're breaking the law, what they're doing for treason.
00:55:48.260 Now that you know that you're breaking the law, it works as a notice of liability that you have to cease and desist.
00:55:56.560 And we are building evidence to lay charges if you don't cease and desist.
00:56:04.100 Right.
00:56:04.440 So, we have our work cut out.
00:56:07.160 I have a great group of people working behind me.
00:56:10.860 We have about 20 that show up every Saturday.
00:56:17.800 We have probably five, six of us that are really diehard at it, and the support is great.
00:56:26.860 Awesome.
00:56:27.700 Awesome.
00:56:28.020 Yes.
00:56:28.120 Well, thank you so much, Colin.
00:56:30.500 I need to move on to our last few.
00:56:33.620 We don't have too many left.
00:56:34.840 I thank you so much for that.
00:56:36.040 And I think what your chapter is doing is highlighting the fact that you need to be aware of those policies that are happening at the local level.
00:56:43.440 And so, if you can appreciate, a small town like Lloydminster going from a population of 30,000 to 50,000 is a phenomenal change.
00:56:53.020 And these things just come in.
00:56:54.700 They sneak in.
00:56:56.000 And so, we need to have watchmen on those councils.
00:56:59.160 We need to have the public watching what's coming through and then raising the alarm.
00:57:03.340 So, I want to thank you for all the efforts that you are doing there in Lloydminster, and thank you for being on the show, Colin.
00:57:10.640 Oh, you're welcome.
00:57:11.440 My pleasure.
00:57:15.440 All right.
00:57:16.720 Actually, I'm going to stay on now in Saskatchewan.
00:57:20.360 I wanted to bring you an update from some of the good work that's happening in our Saskatoon chapter.
00:57:25.900 So, our chapter leader is Katie.
00:57:28.060 I had asked her to be on the show, but in fact, she right now is in a different meeting where she is just listening as a fly on the wall to some policies to bring in these agendas, Agenda 2030, into association that she's going to listen to.
00:57:47.360 So, she's there doing that, so she's on business already.
00:57:51.440 But I wanted to tell you a little bit about what's happening, and particularly, I want to stay here with Saskatchewan because there's a tremendous opportunity right now for those of you in Saskatchewan that are listening.
00:58:01.560 And if you can share it out to people that you know in the province.
00:58:04.740 So, right now, as you know, Action for Canada has been fighting against the indoctrination of our children, really the abuse of our children with this SOGI curriculum.
00:58:14.540 Actually, it's the Comprehensive Sexual Education Plan of the United Nations.
00:58:19.720 And so, it comes in in all these different names.
00:58:22.440 And the name that it came in was SOGI in BC, and it snuck its way into Alberta.
00:58:29.120 And right now, it's right on the border of coming into Saskatchewan.
00:58:33.960 So, in fact, Katie and her team, she has a little SOGI team of people that want to raise awareness and challenge this before it becomes widespread.
00:58:45.460 So, Katie recently, very recently, and she's a teacher by background too.
00:58:51.020 So, this was near and dear to her heart to challenge this and to ask, you know, where was the public consultation in bringing this in?
00:58:58.520 And is it coming in?
00:58:59.960 And how is it coming in?
00:59:01.400 And who authorized it to come in?
00:59:03.480 And so, she put together a package.
00:59:05.380 She spent so many hours, and she was working with us here at the national office to put together a compelling package that we could bring to, you know,
00:59:16.380 the director of education and other decision makers to hopefully persuade them to reason and to say, you know, put the brakes on this,
00:59:26.420 and let's have an open discussion about what might be the harms, the very real harms.
00:59:32.040 So, Katie and her team had a meeting with the directors.
00:59:34.920 That's the person she was put to to go and have the conversation about the resources that are being used in the Saskatchewan schools,
00:59:42.980 in the Saskatoon schools in particular.
00:59:44.960 So, she had a meeting on Friday, and so basically, she came in with a binder full of all this really compelling information,
00:59:54.260 and she just wanted to have a discussion, put it before them so that they could be informed before deciding whether this was just going to roll through Saskatchewan.
01:00:04.220 So, right away, there was a whole bunch of stonewalling.
01:00:08.820 So, it was a little bit of a mixed success, and certainly very hard on her and the team after putting so many hours into preparing this material.
01:00:20.400 So, anyways, they were like, oh, if we're going to talk about SOGI, we're not going to talk about it.
01:00:24.400 You need to talk to the ministry.
01:00:26.080 So, the reason I'm bringing this up for Saskatchewan is because they have said that it will be rolled out in the fall to every school in Saskatchewan.
01:00:34.580 And so, if you care about this, you need to raise your voice, and you need to be asking, how did this come about?
01:00:43.580 How were we consulted?
01:00:44.940 I have never heard of this coming in, and I would like it stopped.
01:00:48.620 I have some real concerns about it.
01:00:50.520 So, as you heard earlier on, some of our chapter leaders have on their own, they have written their letters, and they have made their argument, and they put it forward.
01:00:59.100 And so, that's exactly what Katie and her team are going to do, and they're not letting it go.
01:01:04.460 So, now they've been moved up the chain to the Ministry of Education in Saskatchewan, and hopefully, they will be able to bring forward a delegation.
01:01:15.880 Actually, they are on the list for a delegation to bring to the trustees this information, and they're so well prepared.
01:01:22.960 That's the other thing about our materials.
01:01:25.520 If you haven't done a deep dive into our website, you'll see we have so many materials to help equip ordinary Canadians to become educated themselves on the topic and on the issue.
01:01:37.720 And if you need some extra evidence, we have a fantastic researcher.
01:01:42.200 You guys, they're familiar with Empower Hour.
01:01:44.480 Know Sheila.
01:01:45.420 And so, Sheila can always dig up some really great information and help to support.
01:01:50.100 So, the best thing to do is, if you're concerned and you don't have a chapter in your areas, reach out to the nearest chapter and become educated yourself and then become equipped with some of the resources that we have so that you can go in as a concerned citizen.
01:02:04.540 And you can make the stand that you want to make in your province and your territories and your town councils.
01:02:10.480 So, that's the news I wanted to bring to you.
01:02:12.380 I had a conversation with Katie afterwards on speaker phone.
01:02:17.680 I said, you know, because there's a lot of motion that goes into building up for such a significant event.
01:02:23.340 I'm going to go talk to the director of education.
01:02:26.280 And many people do not have that in their background.
01:02:28.800 And so, there is some tension with that.
01:02:30.980 But she boldly went in with her team.
01:02:33.340 And afterwards, it was kind of like a bit of a letdown.
01:02:37.460 But, but they were able to leave that binder of information right there.
01:02:42.660 They did, in fact, accept it.
01:02:44.380 So, we have to pray that they will be convicted, even on the little bit that they allowed themselves to hear, that they would go through the information that is very compelling.
01:02:54.340 No misinformation at all.
01:02:57.380 Very thoroughly researched reports and documents on the harms that are happening to children.
01:03:04.860 And then they have to make the right decision and step up in their position of authority.
01:03:09.520 But after that phone call, she called me.
01:03:11.820 And, you know, she was even tearful because she had invested so much in and her heart was so, you know, torn that it just, why can't it be easier for people to understand?
01:03:21.200 But it didn't take long.
01:03:22.400 It took maybe a day or two.
01:03:24.340 And then she bounced right back.
01:03:25.700 And she says, I'm getting the delegation going for the trustees.
01:03:29.140 And I'm going to go to the town.
01:03:30.940 I'm going to go to the school board.
01:03:32.220 And I'm going to present this information.
01:03:34.100 And like I said, even tonight, she's at another meeting where she's watching to see what kinds of policies are being brought in.
01:03:41.020 So, I wanted to highlight that and celebrate that.
01:03:43.420 And, again, also to put a shout out to everyone in Saskatchewan that you still have the opportunity to make your voices heard on this issue.
01:03:53.020 And that's not to say that Alberta and Saskatchewan, who just kind of had it sweep in, you still have the ability to push it back and to make your voices heard.
01:04:02.780 And utterly and completely remove this vile resource and this vile campaign against her children.
01:04:11.900 So, okay.
01:04:12.800 So, moving on from there.
01:04:14.120 Our last live guests, we're going to go all the way over to Vancouver Island.
01:04:20.780 So, next up are Michelle and Melody, who hail from Vancouver Island and are both co-leading in the Cowichan Valley area.
01:04:30.580 So, Michelle has resided in the community of Cobble Hill, V.C., for 16 years and has lived on Vancouver Island for over half her life.
01:04:39.120 She decided to get involved with Action for Canada with her dear friend Melody last November.
01:04:45.040 After an unfortunate incident of being hired for a position at her previous church, only to be let go because of her stance on COVID, she found her schedule suddenly open to join the A4C team.
01:04:58.400 Having been compelled by the Holy Spirit himself not to be vaccinated and choosing to safeguard her body, she was deemed unfit for the position.
01:05:07.580 This was heartbreaking for Michelle, who felt ostracized and seemingly stripped of her ability to serve God in the capacity in which she was gifted.
01:05:17.880 However, once she felt aligned with Action for Canada, Michelle knew she could commit to serving God in a new capacity.
01:05:26.720 What made the blessing even better for Michelle is to be co-leading in the heart of the Cowichan Valley with Melody.
01:05:34.440 Serving together through Action for Canada has deepened their friendship and their faith has only continued to grow.
01:05:42.440 And so, Melody is a registered massage therapist and has worked in the Cowichan Valley for the last 20 years.
01:05:50.680 She has definitely been affected by the COVID mandates, but has found ways to rise above and has been able to keep working to build a solid practice.
01:06:02.260 Delighted also to be co-leading with her best friend, Melody didn't really know what they were getting into, but she knew that God would direct and guide them and be able to help and to help them educate and equip the people of Valley to fight for faith, family and freedom in this country.
01:06:21.620 So, I'd like to welcome both of these ladies to the show and give them a hand.
01:06:28.460 Hello.
01:06:31.660 Hi, Michelle.
01:06:32.700 Hi, Melody.
01:06:33.620 So, I love, again, bringing the both of you on to show, you know, the real camaraderie that happens as you build chapters together, as you strike out and you're in the foxhole together.
01:06:45.900 There's really strong bonds that get created.
01:06:48.140 So, I don't know if there's one of you that would like to go first and just share a little bit about that.
01:06:54.080 Okay, Michelle, go ahead.
01:06:55.880 No, I'm just going to let Melody go first.
01:06:58.880 Okay.
01:06:59.380 We had talked this through, so go ahead, Melody.
01:07:01.320 Yeah.
01:07:02.000 Thank you very much, and it's such a privilege to be sharing tonight.
01:07:06.720 And I have a couple notes, so I'm going to kind of look down as I'm talking to you all.
01:07:11.440 Well, but yeah, as it was mentioned, my good friend Michelle and I, we came to Action for Canada through just general research and searching for the truth about COVID, about mandates, all of that kind of thing.
01:07:30.560 And so we came, we wanted the truth about all of that.
01:07:37.500 So we, I particularly went on and signed a petition, and that kind of brought me around to some, or gave me some emails from Action for Canada.
01:07:49.300 So started following that way, and we definitely found more than the truth, and in Action for Canada, and found a Christ-centered organization, excuse me, with like-minded people, and we praise God for that.
01:08:08.420 And as Tanya has mentioned before, it's the church without walls, and we really, we really appreciate that, and it's come to be really special for us.
01:08:22.060 And as Michelle and I were led to, to become co-leaders, we, we actually, we live in Duncan on the island, and Victoria's about an hour away to the south, and Nanaimo's an hour away to the north.
01:08:40.820 And we went, we don't have the time to go either direction in our busy lives.
01:08:44.960 So we kind of decided that we needed a chapter here.
01:08:50.760 So that's what we did.
01:08:52.100 And we discovered super supportive, loving people to guide and help us, and, and we need a lot of help.
01:09:01.820 And we have our Vancouver Island chapter leader, Jerry, or not chapter leader, sorry, regional leader, Jerry Pearson.
01:09:10.680 And so we're very new at this leadership thing, and we have had, been able to have two monthly meetings, and we have about 15 people that have been showing up, and a few new ones keep adding and coming in to our emails and stuff like that too.
01:09:28.020 So we are growing, and we're really, we're really grateful for that.
01:09:31.420 We have done one overpass event, but we learned really quickly that you don't do that on the coldest, wettest, most miserable day in March in British Columbia.
01:09:45.500 So we didn't, we actually didn't stay out there for very long, we were too cold.
01:09:51.240 But it was good to do that, and we had a couple people show up and support us as well.
01:09:56.060 So we have a really great core of prayer warriors that have been heading out every week.
01:10:04.760 Sorry, kind of get emotional a little bit.
01:10:10.160 And they've really been praying for the children and the families of our community, for the schools and the staff, and the council members and mayors of our, of our area.
01:10:20.660 Yeah. And it's just been so great to, to get to know the people of our chapter and start building, you know, really close relationships with them, and particularly talking and walking and praying and serving God in our community.
01:10:37.720 So it's just really exciting and encouraging to, to have those people nearby and, and be part of, be part of that.
01:10:48.200 As co-leaders with my best friend, Michelle, there is a lot to do, and we're able to share it, share the load and bounce ideas off of each other.
01:11:01.760 And, you know, if somebody can't make a regional meeting, then the other one can, or, or chapter meetings on Mondays, you know, we've really been able to share that.
01:11:12.580 And as, as it was said in Michelle's intro, you know, we really have, we were really good friends.
01:11:22.900 So that makes it a lot easier, but we really have grown stronger together and stronger in our faith because of it.
01:11:28.440 So that is so great. And, you know, we have a lot to balance in our lives.
01:11:34.440 We both have full-time jobs and, um, uh, we have a motto, we do what we can do and give God the glory for what we can do.
01:11:44.260 So, um, there's a lot sometimes with, um, you know, just trying to keep up with everything.
01:11:50.240 So that's, that's what we want to do. We just want to do what we can and equip the people in our chapter to do, to do their best as well.
01:12:01.040 And it's been a real blessing to be part of, um, Action for Canada and to do our part, whether it's big or small and fight for our freedoms, for the beautiful country that God has given us.
01:12:11.780 Thank you.
01:12:12.720 Thank you, Melody. Thank you for that. Yeah. Heartfelt for sure. Yeah.
01:12:17.700 And it helps to know you're not alone and the teams do build and you find, you know, new friends that you, uh, you know, maybe we've lost some old friends that we, you know, are heartbreaking to lose, but then, uh, you know, new people come into our lives too.
01:12:32.040 And, and new bonds are, are deepening. So thank you so much for that, Melody. Uh, Michelle, uh, I, I heard a little bit of a mention of the, uh, walk for revival.
01:12:41.920 So I hope you might mention something significant that happened as a result of your walk for revival and your prayer, but I, I don't want to steal your thunder.
01:12:50.840 If you had something else that you wanted to share, but I'll just turn it over to you and you share what's on your heart to share.
01:12:56.640 Great. Thank you, Kim. And thank you, Tanya and the whole team at Action for Canada.
01:13:00.960 Uh, we love this organization and we're so proud to be a part of it. Um, I do just want to touch on a couple of the experiences that Melody and I have had in the last few weeks, particularly in our walk for revival prayer walks.
01:13:15.000 Um, firstly to mention, it's been a wonderful opportunity just getting to know a couple of the members in the community chapter as we've been walking and talking and sharing and praying together.
01:13:25.900 And we also have the privilege of worshiping together in church. They've, um, Melody and a few went to, um, do a prayer walk one night last week and I attend a Thursday night midweek service and the whole gang showed up and we, we worshiped together that night.
01:13:41.900 And then one of the couples actually came to church on Sunday morning and, uh, there was a women's time and, uh, one of our members was privy to being a part of that and just being blessed by that.
01:13:53.240 So these are unique opportunities to connect with our community members and people that we rub shoulders with in our communities.
01:14:00.340 And that for both Melody and I is really at the heart of this, we just love getting to know these people and where they're coming from is so diverse and yet we're all here together and we're all in this together.
01:14:12.340 So, um, one of the interesting, um, things that happened when Melody took a group out to the city hall in Duncan, apparently there were seven of them and they encircled the city hall seven times.
01:14:26.180 And then upon completion, the city hall clock struck seven bells.
01:14:33.000 So if anyone is aware seven in biblical numerology means completion.
01:14:39.920 So it was like, I mean, the, the electric bolts just sort of go through me when I, when I even speak of it, cause I, I wasn't there myself, but when Melody told me, I can just only imagine, um, the intensity and the electricity that must've been going through them because they knew that God was with them.
01:14:56.380 You know, um, Melody and I had also become aware that there was going to be a drag queen ball event in my community in Cobble Hill, five minutes away.
01:15:06.620 And when we found out that the NDP was hosting this fundraising event, her and I just went right to the place and we did a prayer walk just on our own.
01:15:15.860 We didn't have flags at the time.
01:15:17.300 We didn't have other people, but we just thought we need to do this now.
01:15:19.980 And so in particular, I remember at the time that our prayers started going towards the fact that we wanted God to totally shut down that event.
01:15:30.580 And I remember we were starting to ask him to put obstacles in place that would prevent that event from happening and that people would be disinterested and there would be technical difficulties and even getting a ticket and all of these sorts of things, just anything that would cause a block from this event from happening.
01:15:49.420 So we had also planned to pray on the day of the event.
01:15:54.440 Uh, it was supposed to be two weeks, three weeks ago now.
01:15:57.300 And so we were following through with that, but midday, I got word from Klaus, who was with some community members at a local church.
01:16:06.920 He said, I think the event's been closed.
01:16:09.180 I think it's been, he thought, he thought it had been a canceled.
01:16:12.020 And I said, look, I need official, you know, um, news about this.
01:16:17.080 So I went on, uh, the NDP Facebook and there it was officially the event had been canceled.
01:16:27.380 And so we were just so related.
01:16:29.600 We were just like, like, we've got to, we still have to meet together.
01:16:33.260 We still need to give God the glory in this.
01:16:35.320 So we were so excited that we basically still got together and we did a victory walk in his glory and his name.
01:16:42.600 And we were just lifting praises of thanksgiving to him because it was our obedience, but our focus was on him and what he was going to do.
01:16:51.220 And to his faithfulness, he receives the glory in that.
01:16:55.100 And I looked on site and it looked as though only 13 people had paid for the event and only 45 were interested.
01:17:03.740 So I thought, you know, good on this community for standing up to something like that and saying, no, we don't want this.
01:17:10.000 However, in saying all of that, um, our victory, um, oh, I just want to say one thing.
01:17:17.100 Victory depends on recognizing that the battle belongs to the Lord.
01:17:21.000 He fights on our behalf.
01:17:22.740 So in saying that we need to suit up again and put the whole armor of God on because, and pray that God will do a mighty work because Duncan also has a drag queen event coming up.
01:17:33.620 And it's Saturday, May 19th.
01:17:35.940 So we might've won one, but we're still in the fight.
01:17:40.140 And I just want to say in closing that, uh, God will do a mighty work in the hearts and minds of these people that they consider this to be family entertainment for all ages.
01:17:51.320 May they recognize their sin in their own lives and may they realize their need for a savior.
01:17:55.660 In the book of James, it tells us that the way to successfully resist the devil is to submit to God.
01:18:03.400 Victory over the devil is ours when we concentrate on obeying Christ, not on fighting an elusive enemy.
01:18:10.500 What the reason, what is the result when believers obey Christ, the devil will flee.
01:18:16.500 Amen.
01:18:16.640 So that's a quote taken from a Bible study I'm doing right now called Glimpses of God by Debbie Pride spelled with a Y, not an I.
01:18:26.500 Wonderful.
01:18:27.300 Pretty exciting times here in our neck of the woods.
01:18:31.020 It really is.
01:18:31.900 Well, thank you so much for sharing those details with us and, and for giving God the glory because really, you know, uh, as his will is in heaven.
01:18:40.580 So it is on earth.
01:18:41.420 We're just the hands and feet here, but his will is being done.
01:18:44.700 And he's the one who fights the battles.
01:18:46.740 We do our part and, and he does all the rest, the parts that we can't.
01:18:50.500 Thank you so much.
01:18:51.820 So very much ladies for being on the show with me tonight.
01:18:55.060 Thank you.
01:18:56.800 Okay.
01:18:57.540 And our actual last guest is, uh, is Lori from Kelowna, but she's going to be joining us.
01:19:05.340 In fact, with Tanya, uh, on locate who's on, on location in Kelowna right now.
01:19:10.860 Uh, so to accommodate Lori and Tanya schedules, uh, we prerecorded this segment, but I first want to introduce you again.
01:19:18.400 I know Lori's been on our empower hour once before, but Lori's been the Kelowna chapter leader for just over a year.
01:19:25.140 And the way she kind of grew in her role is really quite phenomenal.
01:19:30.000 And you'll hear them talk about that.
01:19:31.600 Originally born in Philadelphia, she moved to Canada when she was 10 and has lived in Kelowna for over 30 years.
01:19:38.140 The Lord has given her a heart for his children.
01:19:40.700 And she says she has spent many nights sobbing as she feels his heart for them and how they are being abused.
01:19:48.560 So, uh, without further ado, Terenzi, if you can bring up that, uh, the interview, it's Tanya interviewing Lori from earlier today.
01:19:58.560 So hi everybody.
01:20:00.260 We're so excited to be here.
01:20:01.840 I'm in Kelowna with Lori, our chapter leader.
01:20:04.800 And, uh, Kim, I know that you've been doing a really great job there without me, and I'm excited to hear a little bit of a testimony from Lori.
01:20:13.740 She's doing an amazing job in Kelowna, British Columbia.
01:20:17.980 So, Lori, can you tell, uh, our viewers a little bit how you got started?
01:20:23.080 Well, I actually joined as a co-leader and then the leader decided that it wasn't really what he wanted to do.
01:20:30.700 And the Lord knew that I wouldn't give up, so I'm pursued on my own.
01:20:34.800 You have, and you have been dogged at it.
01:20:38.300 And I know when I first met you, I believe, was it a year ago or has it been two years ago now?
01:20:43.020 It's basically, I think, been about a year that I've been a chapter leader, but we met before that.
01:20:47.440 Yes.
01:20:47.760 That was before that.
01:20:48.580 Yeah, and I remember you thinking, ah, do I want to lead?
01:20:51.900 And I think, and I think you'd be a good leader, and you really have been.
01:20:55.060 I mean, you have grown the, um, community here in Kelowna.
01:21:00.980 You have been leading at, um, campaigns that Action for Canada has been putting out and all of our resources.
01:21:08.860 I mean, with such enthusiasm.
01:21:10.820 So, can you tell me from when you first had started, like, how do I do this to where you are now?
01:21:16.660 Yeah, I just, I felt really overwhelmed because I would listen to the chapter leaders on the chapter leader meeting,
01:21:22.820 and I felt so overwhelmed because they were doing so many things.
01:21:26.780 And I really just felt the Lord say to me, just pick something you're really passionate about.
01:21:32.160 And I just developed a real passion through the Lord.
01:21:36.820 He just put it on my heart how much He cares about the kids.
01:21:40.040 So that's what I started with.
01:21:41.580 And so I got a group of girls together, and we went out to a school, and we started handing out the SOGI brochures,
01:21:48.380 which are right on the Action for Canada website.
01:21:50.880 So it's super easy.
01:21:52.120 We printed those out.
01:21:53.320 We went out to the school, and we just started informing parents.
01:21:56.500 And we were so surprised how few parents know what's going on in the schools.
01:22:00.960 And so that was really the first thing that I started with.
01:22:03.700 Yeah, that's amazing.
01:22:04.640 I know I have a passion for the kids as well, and fighting for them,
01:22:08.660 because this is a war for the hearts and minds of our children.
01:22:12.360 And, you know, in any good war in the past, these dirty dogs, the leaders that are trying to take over our country,
01:22:18.560 know the way to really solidify that is to get the hearts and minds of the kids for the future.
01:22:24.300 And so we've got a big job ahead of us.
01:22:27.080 And so you've been going out campaigning.
01:22:29.240 So at first you started with the campaign for the kids.
01:22:31.920 And then once you get out in the community, it's amazing that once people start to become aware,
01:22:38.320 they want to be involved.
01:22:39.840 And then your membership within the chapter has grown.
01:22:43.880 And so what kind of things are you doing now?
01:22:46.620 Well, the next idea that the Lord kind of put on my heart was to get an action night going.
01:22:52.300 And so I titled it Action for the Kids and for the Community.
01:22:55.880 And so I just got a group of people out, and we started dividing up into groups depending on the interest.
01:23:02.200 So there's the SOGI group, of course, the girls that want to go out to the schools.
01:23:05.900 But now we have a group going to the school board meetings and organizing parents to go to that.
01:23:10.700 We have a group that are trying to unite the churches by getting them involved
01:23:14.820 and going to the Action for Canada church Zoom calls and getting support from Action for Canada.
01:23:21.500 And then we have a group that's fighting the drag queen events.
01:23:25.180 We have a group that's looking at the 15-minute cities, and we have a group looking at the digital currency.
01:23:32.240 So it's really expanded, and it was so exciting to see all those people.
01:23:36.700 So we've been doing this once a month.
01:23:38.740 And then on top of that, we've been doing the Walk for Revival.
01:23:42.180 And so we've been doing the prayer walks.
01:23:43.880 And so I think we've done about four prayer walks now, and that's really gotten the community involved.
01:23:50.040 Well, and speaking of prayer walks, I mentioned it at the last Empower,
01:23:53.380 but give us a little bit of an idea what happened here on April 7th.
01:23:58.860 Was it when you did the Walk for Revival around the school board?
01:24:02.400 Yeah, that was the first walk that we did.
01:24:05.560 So we decided we were going to walk seven times, like a Jericho walk, around the school board office.
01:24:10.680 So we met.
01:24:11.420 We saw they had sent some security out there.
01:24:13.540 So we talked to the security, told them we were just going to be praying over the school.
01:24:17.140 I asked him if he had any kids, and he said, no, not yet, but he had a niece and nephew.
01:24:21.820 So we walked around three and a half times, and then the Lord said that we should pray for him and ask his name.
01:24:27.700 So we did.
01:24:28.420 Turns out his name was Goshen, which I was amazing.
01:24:32.000 And so we prayed for him and his niece and nephew.
01:24:35.520 And he was out there.
01:24:36.540 It was kind of neat.
01:24:37.100 He was praying with us.
01:24:38.340 We walked another three and a half times around and just praying for the school trustees,
01:24:44.420 praying for the superintendent, praying for the kids,
01:24:47.440 praying for the kids to stand up against the SOGI program, and praying for the teachers.
01:24:52.560 And it was really powerful.
01:24:54.520 We felt really good when we left.
01:24:56.380 And then we found out that there was some damage done to the school board office.
01:25:02.300 And, you know, that seemed a little bit strange.
01:25:05.260 So did a little digging, got confirmation for about three different sources
01:25:09.860 that there was some wind damage done to the school board office,
01:25:13.360 actually right near Kevin Cardell's office.
01:25:17.240 Kevin Cardell is the superintendent, and he's on the second floor.
01:25:21.300 And a chunk of the building had come down.
01:25:23.420 And so we reported on that.
01:25:24.780 Many of you will have received our email a couple of weeks ago.
01:25:28.640 And so it was quite shocking last week when we got a notification from Harrison Company.
01:25:33.400 Kevin Cardell had reached out to the lawyers.
01:25:37.260 I really find that it was a bully tactic to try and silence the legitimate concerns of parents
01:25:43.020 and then making it out that Action for Canada was a hate group
01:25:47.880 and that we were condoning violence against the school district and vandalism.
01:25:53.440 And I was so shocked when I saw the letter.
01:25:55.440 And, you know, I want to know how much this is costing taxpayers
01:25:59.600 because that's taxpayers' dollars to pay for this bully tactic to be done.
01:26:04.380 And it's like, you know, the mafia and trying to silence people into, you know,
01:26:11.140 expressing their legitimate concerns on the behalf of the children.
01:26:14.900 And that means all children, gay, lesbian, straight, you know, that the safety of kids comes first.
01:26:21.380 And when we know that there is a grooming program in the schools
01:26:25.900 and kids are then going on to harmful puberty blockers
01:26:29.560 and then having their bodies permanently mutilated by harmful surgeries,
01:26:34.680 I think that parents have every reason to be concerned.
01:26:38.600 When pornography, you guys have a real problem with child pornography in Kelowna
01:26:42.580 that's been in the news and child exploitation.
01:26:45.620 And the RCMP seem to think that, you know, it's a mystery as to why this is happening.
01:26:51.100 But if they would just take a look at the resources, if the school board trustees,
01:26:55.140 not only in B.C. and here in Kelowna, but across Canada,
01:26:58.760 would permit the conversation that we could go deeper into what's happening within the schools.
01:27:04.180 I think that, obviously, parents en masse, as they're finding out, are saying we need to remove this
01:27:09.440 and we do need to protect the kids.
01:27:12.620 So it's interesting that you were there at the school board praying for Mr. Cardell,
01:27:18.080 praying for the trustees, praying for the teachers to have wisdom,
01:27:21.560 to be willing to have the conversation, to do what was best on behalf of our kids.
01:27:26.960 And we end up getting hit with a legal letter that has, it's not valid, it has no standing.
01:27:32.660 And as if this was a hateful event.
01:27:35.980 And so it's going to make you wonder what's going on within some of these people's lives
01:27:40.400 that they feel a need to cover it up.
01:27:42.260 I feel like something's being covered up.
01:27:45.020 We've expressed our concerns and we're going to continue to express those concerns.
01:27:49.260 So I just want to thank you so much.
01:27:51.040 I've spent the week with you.
01:27:53.200 And, you know, we've been at church together.
01:27:55.960 We've talked to concerned teachers who have also said they're very concerned about the children.
01:28:01.620 This is at high school level.
01:28:03.400 And, you know, the kids that are definitely, they're seeing being indoctrinated and harmed.
01:28:07.460 And they're reporting that it's the most vulnerable kids that are in the community.
01:28:12.300 Those with autism, those without strong family relationships are the ones that are being led down this path.
01:28:21.300 And so we always say knowledge is power.
01:28:23.520 And when you have it, you've got to share it.
01:28:25.160 And you have done an amazing job of going out into the community and doing that.
01:28:29.720 And because of it, I've seen so much love and respect for you.
01:28:32.780 So much support for Action for Canada.
01:28:35.340 And so I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing that day to be a chapter leader
01:28:41.560 and taking the step with the first campaign, which has led to building up your community within community of like-minded people.
01:28:49.060 And that campaign is just taking off.
01:28:51.160 And I believe this is a community where we're going to take back every level of government.
01:28:56.480 So do you have anything in closing you want to add?
01:28:58.700 I just want to say thank you, Tanya.
01:29:00.000 I know the team has missed you, but we've certainly been so glad for the time that you spent in Kelowna helping us out.
01:29:07.120 Awesome.
01:29:07.660 Thank you.
01:29:08.200 Oh, it's so nice to see Tanya there in her calming presence.
01:29:15.980 I got to watch that video a little earlier.
01:29:18.440 So, you know, and just that last statement, you know, just thank you for making that decision that first day to just go,
01:29:28.740 to just take that step into leadership and where it's taken her.
01:29:32.760 So, anyways, we all got a little glimpse of Tanya.
01:29:36.620 I know we have been missing her for sure.
01:29:39.140 But, you know, she's doing some great work there.
01:29:41.960 I know she's even texting on the side because she's actually at a school board meeting.
01:29:45.880 And so we'll get the debrief on all of that later.
01:29:49.880 But what I'd like to do right now, that's our kind of our panelist in some.
01:29:55.980 And so thank you again.
01:29:57.200 I'm just going to say a big thank you to everybody.
01:29:59.720 I can see you all in the green room.
01:30:01.500 Thank you so much.
01:30:03.480 Yeah.
01:30:04.240 And I hope, audience, that you have been able to see, you know, people from all walks of life and different temperaments and personalities and styles and but all on the same purpose.
01:30:17.200 So I want to encourage you now to, you know, to think about it.
01:30:22.580 If you've been feeling that nudge or that calling or, you know, I wish I could do more, what more could be done?
01:30:28.860 Or I wish there was a chapter leader or a chapter in my community.
01:30:33.280 You know, maybe this is the nudge you need to see that, you know, it just takes that first step.
01:30:39.700 And at Action for Canada, for sure, we've grown as an organization, we've matured.
01:30:44.420 And in doing that, we've been able to become more organized.
01:30:47.680 And we have a really strong mentorship program where we have people that have been doing the chapter leading for some time and have, you know,
01:30:55.180 made their stumbles and the learning challenges.
01:30:59.160 And it's a lot easier for new people to come on board.
01:31:02.020 And some teams, they're there, but they could still round out their core team.
01:31:09.460 And so there's always a need for campaign leaders.
01:31:12.560 There's also a need for co-leaders as well, for treasurers and for administrators and social media people.
01:31:18.860 So I just really want to impress upon you that it doesn't take anything more than that first step.
01:31:26.120 And all these lovely, wonderful, ordinary people have done extraordinary things because they took that first step.
01:31:33.640 And so what I'd like to do right now is I'd like to actually just share my screen fairly briefly just to help you figure out how to navigate it
01:31:42.360 and to find that place to join in all the different ways that you can join the movement of Action for Canada.
01:31:48.300 And lend your talent and, you know, to this really important time and this really important movement.
01:31:57.940 So right now, what I'd like to do is I'd like to just land on our landing page, our home page.
01:32:08.040 This is where we have, you know, hopefully enough just really quick items to click upon.
01:32:14.200 All the most current information is right up there at top.
01:32:17.940 We have all the current actions that we've been working on.
01:32:21.620 If you're a member of Action for Canada on the mailing list, then you get this mailed out to you on a weekly basis.
01:32:28.220 And of course, we have our most viewed videos.
01:32:31.020 We have all kinds of resources.
01:32:33.600 We have our most popular pages that people like to, you know, find information on and our current issues.
01:32:38.560 So this is a good place to start.
01:32:41.100 But what I'd like you to do is to consider going all the way over to this one here, right over to the end into that Join tab.
01:32:52.300 Okay.
01:32:52.560 So that Join tab gives you all the different ways that you can get involved with Action for Canada.
01:32:57.460 So the most important one would be here at the top to say, well, how do I join?
01:33:01.660 So I'm going to take you to that page right here.
01:33:05.520 So when you click on that Join, that Join right here, it takes you to this page.
01:33:09.740 And this page just gives you a little overview of who we are and what we're about and the different ways that you can sign up.
01:33:16.280 Now, some of you, you just really love the information and you want to join just to be on our email list,
01:33:22.800 to hear the latest news, to get the research that we've been doing,
01:33:26.320 and to hear of the activities that we've been up to and the wins that we're getting.
01:33:30.540 So that's the first place to go is to make sure that you are signed up for emails,
01:33:35.060 not necessarily just with your chapter locally, but also on our main website.
01:33:39.740 So we also have support groups, and we've really started to build out our parent and teacher concerned citizen group
01:33:48.840 and our homeschooling group.
01:33:50.700 So that's one where you can also get information on that.
01:33:54.540 We have meetings.
01:33:57.160 Actually, we've started our webinars again twice a month with our parent group and our homeschooling group,
01:34:03.180 and we have now a team lead for that, and her name is Doris.
01:34:06.020 So if you're interested in getting more information and getting involved to get supports for parent concerns,
01:34:12.400 that would be a place to go.
01:34:13.960 And I'm so pleased to say that our pastor team has now got a team lead as well.
01:34:18.620 His name is Dan, and you've seen Dan before.
01:34:21.520 He's been an Empower Hour guest.
01:34:23.880 And so Dan is heading up our pastor and church leader team.
01:34:27.940 And so we really encourage you, pastors, and if you go to church and your pastor doesn't know about Action for Canada yet,
01:34:36.060 please put a bug in his ear and let them know that we've got webinars now and ways for connecting to get involved.
01:34:45.020 But the part I really want to focus in on is becoming a volunteer and connecting with a chapter.
01:34:50.500 So when you click on register as a volunteer, there's so many ways that you can get involved.
01:34:56.780 And when you click on that link, it takes you to a registration page like this.
01:35:01.780 And so we would ask you to please, you know, fill out that information.
01:35:05.540 Let us know what your area of interest is.
01:35:08.420 If you want to become a chapter leader or you're interested in knowing more about what it would take to be a chapter leader,
01:35:15.320 you've heard a little glimpse tonight, and certainly there's challenges, but there's also such great rewards in it.
01:35:21.060 But if you want to know a little bit more without completely committing, absolutely click on volunteer interest,
01:35:28.520 and don't be afraid to click that button that says chapter leadership.
01:35:32.860 When you do that, it doesn't mean you necessarily become the leader right away.
01:35:37.340 There's a vetting process that we go through.
01:35:39.320 And so, as Bill had mentioned, there's kind of a two-step process where someone from Action for Canada,
01:35:46.100 likely one of our provincial leaders, will reach out to you and answer any questions
01:35:50.940 and share the vision more deeply about Action for Canada and just give you a really good sense to see if this would be a good fit for you.
01:35:58.160 If there's a chapter already in your area, it's quite likely that they could build their core team.
01:36:04.260 And so, you could take on leadership, but in the form of maybe becoming a SOGI team lead, if that's your area of passion.
01:36:11.280 Or maybe you want to support the cities and the towns against these 15-minute cities.
01:36:17.380 Perhaps you want to get involved in approaching churches and opening up churches to homeschooling,
01:36:24.180 so that there's safe places, once again, for children to be educated.
01:36:27.680 And so, please do not be afraid to click on that leadership.
01:36:32.100 It puts you into a kind of a process so that we can find out who's who.
01:36:36.620 But, of course, if leadership isn't, you know, you're not sure yet, please do not be afraid to click on one of these areas
01:36:43.180 that you might feel that you have some talent and then you could lend support to.
01:36:48.000 Your form, your registration ends up going to the closest chapter leader that we can get you to,
01:36:55.940 and so that you will be contacted by them directly.
01:36:59.180 Now, of course, if you already know or you want to look to see if you have a chapter in your area,
01:37:03.740 we have our Connect with a Chapter page.
01:37:06.380 When you click on that, you go to the next page, which is our Chapters Across Canada,
01:37:11.960 and just look at every single maple leaf there.
01:37:14.220 Those are our chapters across this great country, sea to sea.
01:37:18.000 And so, please scroll down and find your province.
01:37:22.460 So, maybe Manitoba.
01:37:24.140 Manitoba is starting to grow, but we need more support in Manitoba because it's a big province territorially.
01:37:31.680 And, in fact, Flin Flon is one of those border towns that borders Saskatchewan.
01:37:36.600 And I always kind of laugh because does Flin Flon think it's Saskatchewan or does Flin Flon think it's Manitoba?
01:37:41.860 I think more Manitoba.
01:37:43.160 It's like Lloyd Minister, are you Alberta or are you Saskatchewan?
01:37:47.400 So, please, if you're thinking about it, what you do is you just drop down and you click on email.
01:37:55.180 You can email that chapter, the closest one to you.
01:37:58.420 And when you do that, a form pops up so that you can email them directly.
01:38:03.420 So, just type in your message there.
01:38:05.340 Put your name, your email address.
01:38:07.060 And I would like to volunteer.
01:38:09.140 I'd like to be in touch with you.
01:38:10.760 I'd like to learn a little bit more.
01:38:12.640 And the chapter leader would be happy to answer those questions as well or put you to somebody who can answer them more fully.
01:38:19.200 So, I do not want you to be afraid of those forms.
01:38:22.000 Please take that step.
01:38:23.620 And, again, I'm going to just go back.
01:38:25.160 So, when we go to our main website, up here at the top, there's the join button right there.
01:38:31.580 And when you join, join Action for Canada.
01:38:34.320 And then you can go to this page right here.
01:38:36.860 Okay?
01:38:37.920 All right.
01:38:38.780 With that, I think I'm going to stop sharing.
01:38:41.100 And the last little gift of the evening, I just want to, again, like I've implored you, I've encouraged you, please consider how you can support the actions for the actions of Canada, Action for Canada.
01:38:58.320 And reach out to your chapter.
01:39:00.860 Reach out for support.
01:39:01.820 Reach out to help volunteer.
01:39:03.600 That would be fantastic.
01:39:04.520 As I was just closing off here, one of the things that I was reflecting on is the fact that during this whole time of crisis, this global crisis, there's this real anti-human spirit that's been unleashed on our earth.
01:39:19.820 And, really, there's so many good people that can see it and are waking up to it and they are pushing back because we want to live in a humane world.
01:39:29.480 A world where we're not enslaving one another, where we're living freely as God intended us to live.
01:39:35.900 And so, as I round this out, I have a video I'd like to show that is called, it's actually a well-known song, right?
01:39:45.620 It's Amazing Grace.
01:39:47.020 And it's Amazing Grace that's sung in 50 different languages.
01:39:50.240 So, lest anybody think that Action for Canada is some sort of racist, phobic, whatever, organization, not at all, not in any way.
01:40:00.860 We absolutely love all the expressions of humanity that God has created.
01:40:05.540 And that is the thing that makes us all equal as human beings, is that we're made in the image of God.
01:40:10.940 And so, when I watch this video, I tear up, actually, because, in fact, the person, as some of you know the history of Amazing Grace, it was a slave ship owner and operator who had a transformative encounter with the living God.
01:40:26.480 And he penned this hundreds of years ago, and this same anthem of freedom, of liberty, of recognize who we are and who God is, that is being now echoed around the entire planet in all the languages.
01:40:42.320 And the Bible says, every tribe, every tongue, every nation will come to understand that God is who he says he is.
01:40:50.520 And so, I would just like to thank you for joining us for the evening.
01:40:53.840 Don't rush off.
01:40:55.400 I will have this video in just a moment, and then Heather's going to come on to give you some announcements for next week's Empower Hour, which you do not want to miss.
01:41:04.720 So, thank you so very much.
01:41:06.620 God bless.
01:41:23.840 Amazing Grace
01:41:39.540 How sweet the sound
01:41:45.200 How sweet the sound
01:41:56.160 How sweet the sound
01:42:10.040 Thank you.
01:42:40.040 Thank you.
01:43:10.040 Thank you.
01:43:40.040 Thank you.
01:44:10.040 Thank you.
01:44:40.040 Thank you.
01:45:10.020 Thank you.
01:45:40.000 Thank you.
01:46:10.000 Thank you.
01:46:40.000 Thank you.
01:47:10.000 Thank you.
01:47:39.980 Thank you.
01:48:09.960 Thank you.
01:48:39.940 Thank you.
01:49:09.940 Thank you.
01:49:39.920 God bless you and God bless Canada.
01:50:09.920 Thank you.
01:50:39.920 Thank you.
01:51:09.920 Thank you.
01:51:39.920 Thank you.
