00:00:00.000 I joined A4C for my family, actually my grandmother, just a week after her job she died,
00:00:07.440 and also my little sister, she's 20 years old right now, and almost half of her friends,
00:00:14.640 they are on puberty blockers. When Soji popped up on the scene nine years ago,
00:00:20.160 the wolves were coming for our children. How can you be silent? That's what we're called to do,
00:00:26.240 to be watchmen on the wall. Our chapter recently started a sexually explicit book club
00:00:34.640 to look at inappropriate books in our school libraries. One action that we took was standing
00:00:40.160 outside a school to let parents know about the inappropriate book called It's Perfectly Normal.
00:00:45.440 In January, a member of our chapter set up a meeting with the principal of that school
00:00:49.920 to discuss the book It's Perfectly Normal, and a couple days later the principal called to say that
00:00:54.880 they didn't need to meet because it was decided that this book would be removed.
00:01:00.960 I didn't like what was happening. COVID stuff started. Someone had mentioned,
00:01:04.720 have you seen what Action for Canada is doing? They're really, you know, doing a lot as far as
00:01:12.000 these notices of liability. And so I went home, did my research, and I decided I'm going to get
00:01:18.880 involved with them because I want to be a chapter leader. As a chapter leader, my role is to educate,
00:01:27.760 equip, and mobilize citizens to take charge of what's happening in their cities.
00:01:33.440 Don't be afraid. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the strength to move forward in the face of fear
00:01:40.160 or pain. And so, you know, we just need to be courageous and step out in faith knowing that
00:01:48.320 God has a work for us to do. We are called to be salt and light in the world. So shine the light of
00:01:54.560 truth where you are planted. It's never too late to do the right thing.
00:01:59.040 The highlights for me have been our Monday meetings and listening to the amazing things that people
00:02:06.160 do. Oh, you know, Gail and Suri visited, I think it's 120 schools, informing people about SOGI. I
00:02:12.800 consider Action for Canada family, and there's just so many amazing leaders. I'm so glad I did it.
