00:00:00.000 The psychopaths have an antisocial personality disorder.
00:00:03.840 That is not true.
00:00:04.720 Not all of them.
00:00:06.480 As a matter of fact, I would say the ones that we're concerned about for this program,
00:00:10.860 the ones that I'm concerned about, the sophisticated psychopaths, sexual predators,
00:00:16.420 they are not antisocial.
00:00:18.860 Let me qualify that again.
00:00:20.760 Are they normal?
00:00:21.760 No.
00:00:22.060 Do they appreciate society's norms?
00:00:25.860 No.
00:00:27.100 But they fit in well.
00:00:28.560 Why?
00:00:28.880 Because they're calculating.
00:00:30.380 You don't run for political office if you are antisocial.
00:00:35.020 Why?
00:00:35.280 Because you have a criminal history.
00:00:37.220 You appear smooth.
00:00:39.280 You appear congenial and affable and likable.
00:00:45.180 An antisocial personality is not likable.
00:00:49.780 When you meet somebody that has antisocial personality, you really know up close and personal very quickly.
00:00:57.460 And again, they're not impulsive.
00:01:01.200 The sophisticated psychopaths are very methodical.
00:01:05.640 Within that overall rubic of antisocial personality disorder, you then will have, in my estimation, sociopaths and psychopaths.
00:01:16.580 And then we're going to get into what's called the sexually violent predators, SVP.
00:01:20.960 And then within sexually violent predators, which that is a designation, by the way, given by a judge, at least here in the U.S.
00:01:28.420 There is no law that says if you break certain laws, you get SVP designation.
00:01:34.940 You don't.
00:01:35.740 That is added to a judge.
00:01:37.560 So, in a way, there's not consistency as far as who gets SVP and who doesn't.
00:01:42.920 Trust me, there's a lot of people that should be given SVPs that have not.
00:01:47.080 I'll give you one example.
00:01:48.320 Jimmy Hinton, Pastor Jimmy Hinton's father, Jimmy Hinton and I started churchprotect.org.
00:01:55.240 We started because we found there was commonality in our concern for protecting kids in churches.
00:02:01.960 His father was a pastor for about 25 years or so, was perping on his own kids.
00:02:07.160 They homeschooled, was perping on his own daughters, kids in the congregation, and kids in the community for years and years.
00:02:14.540 So, there's a guy that is truly a sexually violent predator, yet the judge was going to give him that label.
00:02:23.180 But the inmate, senior Mr. Hinton, who's now going to essentially serve life in the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, given his age, I think he got 25 to 50 years, he should have gotten life.
00:02:37.980 He appealed to the judge to not give him that designation, and the judge agreed.
00:02:44.380 It's like, whatever.
00:02:45.940 You know, it's surreal.
00:02:46.880 But Hinton knew that if he goes to prison and he's called to SVP, he's an easier target.
00:02:52.340 So, he was able to finesse the judge.
00:02:55.900 So, again, as we talked about last time, a sophisticated psychopath knows how to manage impression and work the crowd.
00:03:04.600 So, a child predator is among those that are SVPs, and you can have a sexually violent predator designation placed upon you if you harm women.
00:03:14.940 So, let's say you are raping a bunch of women.
00:03:17.100 You're a serial rapist.
00:03:18.180 You will be called a sexually violent predator.
00:03:20.400 If you go after children, it's much easier, typically, to have that designation placed upon you.
00:03:27.460 But look at how few there are.
00:03:31.060 All things being equal, you're almost in five deviations outside the norm.
00:03:35.840 But I want to tell people that for my purposes in trying to awaken people to the dangers of predators in churches and those that are the most sophisticated,
00:03:51.120 we're talking about the men in that far right box.
00:03:56.520 How many of those does it take to endanger a church full of people and especially kids?
00:04:07.580 So, John is actually going to be live with us next week.
00:04:11.800 And the reason I'm bringing him on is I've learned, I was letting him know, hey, John, we're running the two-part series again, and just thank you so much.
00:04:20.160 And I noticed on my Twitter page somebody was attacking John, saying the most vile, horrible things about him.
00:04:26.160 So, I reached out to John, and man, he let me know what he's been going through in the last year and a half.
00:04:32.160 So, as the title says, there is a personal cost of calling out evil.
00:04:37.200 And so, we're going to hear from John, and there will be a time of Q&A as well.
00:04:41.640 So, be sure to join us next week.
00:04:43.520 Thank you.
