00:00:00.000 Thank you for listening.
00:00:30.000 It's time to take a stand and stop the sexualization of our children.
00:00:52.700 Action for Canada has created a notice of liability to assist you.
00:00:57.440 The title of this NOL is Facilitating an Exposure of Minors to Sexually Explicit Educational Resources, Activities, and or Events.
00:01:09.140 The United Nations has mandated that all member nations implement the Comprehensive Sexuality Education Resource.
00:01:17.320 CSE is a learning platform that was developed within the context of a program developed by UNESCO.
00:01:25.080 This so-called resource sexualizes children at the earliest ages possible,
00:01:30.000 and it's no surprise that it's causing great harm to our children,
00:01:34.340 as well as attacking the traditional family unit.
00:01:38.160 According to Section 163.1 and Section 152 of the Criminal Code,
00:01:44.540 as well as the Canadian Centre for Child Protection,
00:01:47.660 it's a criminal offense to sexualize and exploit children.
00:01:52.080 Here at Action for Canada, we've been working to expose this evil agenda
00:01:56.660 and to empower parents, grandparents, and concerned citizens to take a courageous stand.
00:02:04.100 In an effort to assist you, we've created a page on our website
00:02:08.020 where you will find an incredible assortment of information on this issue,
00:02:12.980 including the various programs that have been introduced into our schools.
00:02:17.560 Beyond the Basics is the resource used in Nova Scotia,
00:02:20.540 WIN Sex Ed is used in Ontario, CSE is used in Manitoba, and SOGI 123 is used by the rest of
00:02:29.400 the provinces. By introducing these programs into our educational system, our children and youth
00:02:35.500 are being exposed to sexually explicit pornographic materials in the form of books,
00:02:41.720 magazines, and comic strips. Our kids are also encouraged to become members of organizations
00:02:47.800 that promote sexually deviant behavior and the exploitation of minors. Be sure to take advantage
00:02:55.300 of this notice of liability, which will advise teachers, librarians, trustees, ministers, etc.,
00:03:01.520 that they will be held personally liable for exposing minors to any form of pornography or
00:03:07.560 sexually explicit material, as well as any activities or organizations promoting sexual
00:03:13.940 deviancy and the exploitation of minors. By using this valuable NOL, you have the ability to demand
00:03:22.060 that the CSE learning resources be immediately and completely removed from libraries and the
00:03:28.920 education system, that all of the books listed, including titles by the same authors, be immediately
00:03:35.580 removed, and that all educational facilities, including libraries, cease and desist promotion
00:03:42.380 of any and all activities, including performers and clubs that exploit our innocent, impressionable,
00:03:49.860 and vulnerable children and youth. Knowing is not enough. You must take action. Here are some
00:03:56.860 powerful actions you can take to protect our youth, no matter your age or station in life.
00:04:03.000 Pull your children out of public schools and universities. Run, facilitate, join, or help
00:04:09.740 with a homeschool group. Get involved in writing letters and serving notices of liability. Run for
00:04:16.880 office as a school board trustee, mayor or city councillor. Connect with an Action for Canada
00:04:23.540 chapter near you. We cannot ignore this message. Our children and youth are being subjected to
00:04:31.100 twisted ideologies using social justice as a means to indoctrinate and groom them and we must
00:04:38.120 protect them. Thank you for taking a stand to protect kids. If you like what we're doing at
00:04:45.160 Action for Canada, please consider making a donation to support our ongoing work and be
00:04:51.540 sure to join a chapter near you. God bless you and God bless Canada.
00:05:08.120 actions on each other we stand tall we're loving saints we can win it all
00:05:14.760 we all up
00:05:16.120 hello it's so good to be with you friends and welcome as you join us for another informative
00:05:30.780 evening we love having you as a part of our community we have a special show planned for
00:05:36.500 you tonight where our very own Pastor Dan, a.k.a. Prepper Dan, will be giving us tips on how to
00:05:43.460 prepare spiritually and tangibly for uncertain times ahead. The title of tonight's show is
00:05:50.300 Prepping for Hard Times and Eternity. It's Wednesday, April 22nd, 2026, and this is the
00:05:58.320 Empower Hour. Action for Canada is a national movement reaching out to millions of Canadians
00:06:04.920 and uniting our voices in opposition to the destructive policies tearing at the fabric of
00:06:10.760 our nation. Through call-to-action campaigns, we educate, equip, mobilize, and empower citizens to
00:06:17.940 take action. We are committed to protecting faith, family, and freedom. Freedom of speech,
00:06:26.340 thought, belief, and the right to life, liberty, and security of the person is guaranteed in Canada.
00:06:33.240 As Action for Canada continues to courageously defend Canadians' rights and freedoms, we invite you to support us, either with a one-time contribution or by becoming a monthly supporter.
00:06:46.900 We want to acknowledge all of you joining us tonight and thank you for your prayers, support, and contributions, all of which helps Action for Canada bring solutions and hope to our nation.
00:06:59.700 for those of you who are new to the empower hour please let me introduce you to tanya ga
00:07:06.800 the founder and leader of action for canada for over 10 years tanya has been raising awareness
00:07:13.280 about critical issues facing our nation and she and the action for canada team have been pushing
00:07:19.760 back against government corruption and malfeasance as well as educating canadians about our rights
00:07:26.600 and freedoms. Will you all please help me welcome Tanya Gaw. Hello, Tanya. Hi, Heather. Good to see
00:07:33.140 you. I'm looking forward to tonight's show. And you and I had a bit of a break last week from
00:07:38.380 the Empower Hour, but we were still busy working. I was traveling, so it's good to be back. And I'm
00:07:44.620 going to provide before we get going a little bit of an update and then Heather will come back on 1.00
00:07:48.720 and introduce Dan. And like I say, it's going to be a great show tonight. So make sure that you
00:07:54.800 plug in and share the link with others as I'm providing this update. So I'm going to go right
00:07:59.580 into this. I just thought it was really critical that as we're proceeding and having these wins,
00:08:07.860 especially in Alberta right now, that we do all that we can to support the elected officials
00:08:16.260 who are working very hard behind the scenes here and responding very positively to our requests.
00:08:24.800 And I've mentioned before that I've been at this fight against SOGI since back in 2016, 2017, and trying to ring the bell, and it progressed.
00:08:35.920 They knew they would probably have a short period of time until the evidence was so undeniable in the school systems of the harm that it was causing.
00:08:46.000 And as they infiltrated all levels of the school system, including school boards, they just set themselves up so well in this attack against our children.
00:08:58.160 So it has been a major battle taking this down.
00:09:01.540 And we've had this incredible win in Alberta, and we want to make sure that that is going to be maintained.
00:09:09.760 And a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that they had responded to our request to get rid of SOGI 123 to remove it from the schools. In BC and Alberta, it's called SOGI 123, WINSEC said in Ontario, Beyond the Basics in another province.
00:09:26.780 And so what it is, is they've come up with Bill 25, which states they will remove political and ideological agendas from Alberta classrooms.
00:09:38.160 And then Bill 28 was a response to our action last year to remove the books from public libraries.
00:09:46.480 Because a year ago, if you'll remember, the pornographic and sexually explicit books, there was a policy that was passed to remove those from the schools.
00:09:54.900 but the public libraries within the public schools were exempt.
00:09:59.360 So we did a really, I would say, very effective call to action
00:10:04.360 requesting that they close the loopholes.
00:10:07.160 This is what our action looks like right here.
00:10:10.000 And so they have responded with Bill 25,
00:10:12.500 but this is a matter that these two bills are actually going to be voted on in September.
00:10:18.760 and the lgbtq activists are already out doing their calling and campaigning uh screaming
00:10:26.740 victimization and that this is unfair and it's against children's charter of rights and freedoms
00:10:31.480 but all we are interested in is the measurable harm this is causing our children so we are going
00:10:38.660 to put the blinders on we're going to shut out those alternative voices that have implemented
00:10:43.880 this. And we need the Minister of Education. And this is Minister Nicolaitis right here.
00:10:53.120 And we need Daniel Smith as well to know we are very grateful for the work that they've done in
00:10:59.260 presenting these two bills. And they need our support all the way through to September.
00:11:03.740 And so we have sent out this reminder, take action. And I just want to scroll down and show you
00:11:10.520 an image. So, I flew to Ottawa last week, Monday, and that was to have conversations with
00:11:18.060 some elected officials and for the purpose of highlighting Canada's sovereignty and the fact
00:11:25.920 that we are founded on Judeo-Christian biblical principles and that this is the lobbying of
00:11:32.640 government that all of us should take responsibility in because this is free, this is key to our
00:11:39.240 freedoms and democracy so after uh monday and tuesday in ottawa wednesday i flew to calgary
00:11:45.640 kim uh kim mcbride is our national chapter leader coordinator kim met kim lives in calgary and we
00:11:53.780 drove together to red deer to a ucp event that i would say was so productive and it was such an
00:12:03.060 actual honor to be there and meet some of these people in person and i thought that was critically
00:12:07.880 important with all of the work that Action for Canada is doing in lobbying the government,
00:12:13.880 in mobilizing the citizens, in helping to write policies. And so to Kim's right, that is Minister
00:12:20.740 Nicolaitis. And I would say that was a highlight of my evening was to meet him because he has taken
00:12:26.440 a very courageous role in advocating for our children and to make sure that these bills were
00:12:31.580 moving forward and then again a great shout out to premier daniel smith for being willing to take
00:12:39.600 on these controversial issues and then to put our children first and so they really do need our
00:12:44.880 support i did not meet minister williams he's in charge of the municipalities and he was the one
00:12:51.440 that was also willing to put forth the policies to shut down and hear this loud and clear so we
00:12:59.880 wanted to close the loopholes of public libraries functioning in public schools but they took it a
00:13:05.420 step further and they're removing all of the sexual content and pornographic books from the
00:13:11.460 access and eyesight of children in all public libraries province-wide so that even goes beyond
00:13:18.720 the wind that we were hoping for and this is what your support is doing we need your financial
00:13:23.900 support. As I've mentioned, we don't get government subsidies. I wouldn't even want them
00:13:29.680 at this point. I don't want to be connected to them. I think that this is a mission for Canadians
00:13:35.260 and that we're working hard on your behalf. And so we pray and ask for your continued support.
00:13:42.300 And then finally, I want to just bring to your awareness that as we're moving towards June,
00:13:48.420 This is the time to be busy reaching out to your municipalities, to your principals, to your school board trustees, and bringing awareness of who is behind the pride flag and the trans flag. 0.73
00:14:01.420 I mean, these are people with sexual fetishes and deviancy and even pedophilia. 0.73
00:14:08.520 And it is a very political movement, and we need to get it removed.
00:14:14.240 And so we're asking you to take the opportunity now to start reaching out to your elected officials, grab our PDF, the ban non-government and special interest group flags, just merely sign it and get some manila envelopes together, get a team together, put your mayor, city councillor's names on each individual envelope and then serve it, drop it off, deliver it to the city hall or to your trustees.
00:14:43.800 Don't be afraid to bring it in and hand it to your principal.
00:14:47.780 I think they all thought that they were doing a kindness
00:14:50.640 because this group has advanced based on self-victimization,
00:14:55.360 but they're actually bullies.
00:14:57.040 And they've been very effective at bullying people
00:14:59.300 and manipulating them and pulling on their heartstrings.
00:15:03.160 And in fact, we have allowed just something very evil
00:15:06.580 and nefarious to attack our children.
00:15:08.700 And it's time to turn that around.
00:15:10.500 And so please use the letter.
00:15:12.440 it's very educational on explaining as to who is behind the pride flag, who is behind the trans
00:15:20.480 flag, what their fetishes are, and why it is that we should have them removed. And I think that if 0.95
00:15:25.660 you have these conversations with them, once they see this, they too will agree, yes, we're in
00:15:31.140 agreement. We're going to go to a state of neutrality in our communities. But I always say,
00:15:38.180 don't let them throw baby Jesus out with the bathwater. You know the saying, they say, you
00:15:43.140 know, just about throwing out the bathwater and stuff, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
00:15:47.000 And I'm saying, don't let them throw the baby Jesus out with the bathwater. And what I mean is
00:15:51.260 that Canada is founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Biblical principles is what forms
00:15:56.100 our laws and our values. And so, it's very strategic, I think, of some to put forward a
00:16:04.000 duty of state neutrality which means that all public spaces need to be completely neutral 1.00
00:16:09.460 in order to deal with the muslims and the invasion and the hijabs and what they're doing in quebec 1.00
00:16:14.540 they have passed the supreme court ruling on the duty of state neutrality but that should never 1.00
00:16:21.420 apply to what this country was founded on okay we should never be embarrassed or shy or feel like 0.90
00:16:27.580 well if we're going to expect those false religions to shut down that does not mean that we need to
00:16:32.920 give up what was the shining star of Canada and our democracy, which was the fact that we are
00:16:39.920 founded on godly principles. And so with that, I'm going to stop sharing screen, Heather, and
00:16:45.260 back over to you. And just to emphasize to people that I think Action for Canada is one of the
00:16:52.860 most unique and wonderful organizations in the country. There's other great organizations who
00:16:58.440 are doing good things as well but they don't have the same infrastructure and organization
00:17:03.160 where you can be facilitated within your own community that you can take these simple steps
00:17:08.640 take a half an hour of your time to drive to your city hall or town hall and drop this off
00:17:13.620 take five minutes to sign a letter and email it to your elected officials we're trying to make
00:17:20.180 it as simple as we can but these elected officials need to hear from you so i just thank you for your
00:17:25.180 time. Heather, over to you. I'm excited to listen to Dan and see what good information he has to 0.71
00:17:30.560 tell us tonight. And thank you so much, Tanya, for your updates. It's always a pleasure to introduce
00:17:37.540 Dan Vachon to the show. Dan is Action for Canada's Pastoral Coordinator, the Chapter Leader in Sydney,
00:17:44.500 Nova Scotia, as well as the Chapter Team Leader for the Maritimes. And for those of you who are
00:17:50.620 eager for this year's gardening season, he's also known as Prepper Dan, the gardening expert.
00:17:57.320 Tonight, Dan will equip us with valuable insights to face future challenges and maintain an eternal
00:18:04.260 focus. So whether you're just beginning your preparedness journey or looking to deepen your
00:18:10.520 existing plans, tonight's episode provides encouraging faith-based guidance. And now,
00:18:16.560 Will you all please help me welcome Dan Michonne.
00:18:19.800 Hello, Prepper Dan.
00:18:22.040 Hi, Heather, and thank you so much.
00:18:23.780 So good to be on the show again tonight.
00:18:25.540 And I want to say thank you to Tanya, who last week got on an airplane.
00:18:29.940 She did not go to the Dominican Republic like so many of us wish we could go.
00:18:34.780 But she went to the nation's capital where there's a lot of stuff going on, you know.
00:18:39.400 And then she was sending us some photos of landing in Calgary where there was a snowstorm,
00:18:43.920 believe it or not, this time of year.
00:18:46.140 And just before we opened up the doors to everyone else,
00:18:49.180 she was showing us some pictures of the beautiful ornamental cherry tree
00:18:52.580 in full blossom in her backyard.
00:18:55.340 But that reminds me of something this time of year, you know,
00:18:58.020 in the springtime, Tanya and I live on opposite sides of the country,
00:19:03.700 coast to coast.
00:19:04.720 Here we are, springtime is here, and in our patch of the woods here,
00:19:09.060 there's still a couple of spots where the snow is desperately hanging on to spring.
00:19:14.860 And that makes me think of what's going on in our country right now.
00:19:17.800 And you may be feeling it, too.
00:19:19.600 This time of spring, you never really know what could be around the corner.
00:19:23.580 Our neighbor across the road was taken off his winter tires today.
00:19:27.180 And that could be a sure sign sometimes that, you know, that could mean that could be a snowstorm next week.
00:19:32.500 But for some of you, you know, things are in full bloom and you've already had to cut your grass once or twice.
00:19:38.480 But this is kind of where we're at in the history of our country right now.
00:19:43.220 And if some of you are kind of like in our age group, you know, you look back and you think, I remember the good old days.
00:19:50.340 And I think we could say that into some certainty.
00:19:53.280 You know, I eat bananas almost every day.
00:19:56.120 And I remember I miss the days when bananas were forty nine cents a pound, you know.
00:20:00.140 And I remember when gas was sixty nine cents a liter.
00:20:03.600 And I think those days are pretty much gone.
00:20:07.240 But what we want to do tonight is going to be kind of an easy and power hour.
00:20:12.000 and I literally have about four hours worth of materials
00:20:15.200 and I'm going to cram into about 40-ish minutes,
00:20:18.200 but I want to leave you with something
00:20:19.960 that's encouraging tonight
00:20:21.100 because these days people can get really discouraged
00:20:25.940 and really have no hope into what's going on.
00:20:29.040 And people often ask us at Action for Canada,
00:20:31.800 you know, we're exposing a lot of dark and evil things
00:20:34.300 and we're giving you actions to act upon,
00:20:36.560 but oftentimes people say,
00:20:38.500 is there any hope for Canada?
00:20:40.140 Where's our country going?
00:20:41.720 What do you foresee the outcome being?
00:20:44.400 And so because we are a faith-based organization, we want to leave you tonight with some hope
00:20:49.660 for today and for the near future.
00:20:53.060 And then in case things go really haywire and sideways, we want you to be prepared.
00:20:58.040 But we also want you to have some hope and be prepared for all of eternity.
00:21:02.340 And I'm going to get into that a little bit later on.
00:21:04.480 So I've kind of broken up tonight's event into three different sections.
00:21:09.600 And so we're going to just present with you with a PowerPoint, just so it's not just me talking tonight.
00:21:16.520 And I just want to let you know a couple of things beforehand.
00:21:20.800 A lot of things I'm going to be talking about.
00:21:22.880 There are some links that will be in the description and also in the Prepper Dan page.
00:21:28.400 And I'm going to encourage you to just go to that page.
00:21:33.960 I'm not prepared to just share that page just now, but here's what I want you to do.
00:21:37.260 actionforcanada.com when you hit on that page if you go down to the bottom we have a number of
00:21:43.700 links to our most visited pages and one of them is just called food security and when you hit on
00:21:50.120 that you come to the prepper dan page and i've got about 15 videos on there that i've put together
00:21:54.880 i'll highlight some of those in just a few moments but there's also some links and it's going to be
00:22:00.560 very easy for you to go and make a day of it you know sit down with a cup of coffee and explore
00:22:05.200 some of the things that I'll be talking about. Now, the other thing is on Friday, this video
00:22:09.800 should be up for those of you that would like to watch it again. Send it to a friend. And like I
00:22:15.240 say, this is it doesn't have to be days where you're they're nail biting days and you have no
00:22:20.560 hope. And it's going to be one of those. Oh, my goodness. What do we do? You know, if the bottom
00:22:24.420 falls out, we want you to be prepared and you can be. So I want this to be encouraging for you.
00:22:29.740 Okay, so I'm just going to share my screen, and we're going to go like this.
00:22:48.020 Dan, sorry, we lost your audio.
00:22:50.840 We're just going to get you to reshare your screen.
00:22:53.760 And when you share the screen, just share the PowerPoint, I think.
00:22:56.420 we ended up sharing your entire screen which was duplicating some audio so go ahead when you're
00:23:01.860 ready okay so can you you can you hear me now yeah i can hear you go ahead and try it again
00:23:08.100 okay how about now uh nothing yet can't hear me now oh no i can hear you we just need to get your
00:23:15.220 screen share it again i stopped sharing your screen oh okay and then when you start sharing

00:24:36.660 Okay.
00:24:36.960 Do you see the PowerPoint now?
00:24:38.260 No, you just have to reshare again.
00:24:40.660 Okay.
00:24:41.060 But don't share the entire screen.
00:24:43.060 Just share the PowerPoint.
00:24:45.940 Okay.
00:24:56.700 Window, there we go.
00:25:08.060 Are you seeing the PowerPoint now?
00:25:09.780 No, you just have to click the share.
00:25:12.940 Okay, I did that.
00:25:15.060 had stopped sharing your screen before so if you just go down to the bottom

00:26:29.680 Do this.
00:26:35.100 Where is the beginning now?
00:26:38.020 So your PowerPoint is not front and center.
00:26:42.800 Yeah, hold on a sec.
00:26:43.940 I had just the transitions, slideshow.
00:26:50.560 There we go.
00:26:52.080 How's that?
00:26:53.080 Yeah, we're still not seeing the slideshow, Dan.
00:26:55.060 I'm sorry.
00:26:59.680 hmm okay so this is what we're going to do Dan we've got a backup here so we're just going to
00:27:10.520 move forward with the one that you had sent me so just tell me when to go to the next slide
00:27:16.740 and we'll move forward okay okay very good okay that actually makes it a little bit easier for
00:27:27.400 me. Okay. So prepping for hard times and eternity. So here we go. Wipe the sweat off your brow.
00:27:33.920 Good. Okay. So let's go on to the next slide.
00:27:40.980 All right. So here's the thing. Some of you in part one, we're going to prepare for today.
00:27:45.580 Some of you may be in a little bit of a panic mode because you're going to the grocery store
00:27:50.640 and you're finding that what used to cost you $20 to fill a grocery bag now costs you 40
00:27:55.860 or 50. I doubt many of you are getting a raise to make that change. You know what used to cost
00:28:02.760 you $50 to fill your gas tank maybe cost you $70 or $80 now, maybe even more. And you're starting
00:28:09.480 to panic a little bit. And you weren't planning for this. And everything is costing more. And
00:28:15.780 you don't have a plan. And you've never had a plan. And so you're starting to panic a little bit.
00:28:21.220 Now, Proverbs 19.15 says, lazy people sleep soundly.
00:28:26.620 Now, tired people sleep soundly too, but that's beside the point.
00:28:30.080 But idleness leaves them hungry.
00:28:32.520 The point is this.
00:28:33.540 If you don't start with a plan today, you'll not have a plan tomorrow.
00:28:39.240 It's never too late to start a plan.
00:28:42.280 And so that's going to be one of my main points today is start a plan.
00:28:46.000 start designing something to get out of whatever is going on in our country because you can't
00:28:53.260 overcome this and we want you to have a level of hope and a level of joy and peace in your life
00:29:00.040 because you were not meant to live a life full of anxiety and here we are at action for canada you
00:29:05.960 know we're we're we're not only exposing all of the bad things that are going on we're equipping
00:29:11.560 you on how to address them. But at the end of the day, and at the end of the week, and at the end of
00:29:17.260 the month, you may be saying, but I still have these bills that I can't pay. And I still need
00:29:21.720 to put food on the table. So how do I do that? So tonight, we want to equip you so that you will
00:29:27.720 get out of that funk. And you need to start a plan, you need to start preparing for what's
00:29:33.960 actually going on today. So let's move on to the next slide. Because I want to remind you of
00:29:39.340 something very important. You are not here by mistake. You are here by design. The psalmist
00:29:48.280 said about God, you have formed me in my mother's womb. Nobody is here by mistake.
00:29:56.340 And the Lord said in Philippians 4, 6, and 7, be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer
00:30:02.640 and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God
00:30:08.620 which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
00:30:13.880 When the Lord says, be anxious for nothing, there's a reason for that. You need to trust
00:30:19.000 in the Lord. Now, some of you may be watching this and say, wait a minute, I don't believe in
00:30:23.300 God or I'm not religious or I don't go to church or I don't have faith in God. That doesn't change
00:30:29.600 the fact that God, your creator, still has says, don't be anxious for anything. God exists to meet
00:30:37.160 our needs, our daily needs. As a matter of fact, Jesus taught his disciples to pray,
00:30:42.000 give us this day our daily bread. And so this is meant tonight to help you turn your trust from
00:30:48.540 yourself, from your anxieties, and from your worries to him. And so God says, don't worry
00:30:54.680 about anything, but let the peace of God, which passes all understanding, fill your hearts and
00:31:00.780 minds in Christ Jesus. So the next slide. I'm literally telling you I've got about four hours
00:31:10.840 worth of materials to pass on to you tonight, but we're going to skim. On the food security page,
00:31:16.960 I have a number of videos, and I'm going to encourage you to go on that page. Some of the
00:31:23.000 videos, I'm going to be talking a lot more about the how-tos, the gardening, so the bottom right,
00:31:29.580 The planting the garden now is the time. Now, if you live where Tanya lives, you probably should
00:31:35.440 have planted your garden about five or six weeks ago. Here on the East Coast, the frost is just
00:31:40.260 coming out of the ground. I've got my greenhouse here. It's 30 degrees in there, but it still hits
00:31:45.040 freezing at night. So it's a little bit different. I addressed that in planting the garden. We're
00:31:50.080 going to be talking about cooking without power. What happens if the grid goes down? I talk about
00:31:55.280 that a little bit in the Cooking Without Power video. Where do you store all kinds of goodies
00:32:00.720 that you have? I mean, storage is an issue. We talk about that in pressure canning. How do you
00:32:05.880 eat fresh? We'll talk about that in the Tower Garden video. So I'm going to encourage you to
00:32:10.420 go ahead and do some further reading, some further video watching in some of the productions that
00:32:16.880 have already been made. Okay, so let's go on to the next cart. The other day I was, my wife and I
00:32:23.040 were in the grocery store and a gentleman behind us was talking to another lady behind us and he
00:32:28.280 was telling her, uh, as he was showing him her, his, his grocery cart, he says, this thing that
00:32:34.100 I'm pushing is the most expensive vehicle on earth today. And he's not wrong. You know, when
00:32:41.760 you can push your grocery cart to the checkout and it costs you six to $700, uh, that's, that's
00:32:48.440 a mortgage payment on your vehicle. It's expensive these days. Now, some people would say, you know,
00:32:55.100 we don't believe that it's right to hoard food. We don't believe that it's right to, you know,
00:32:59.900 go out and fill your house with food. What does that do to other people? Well, there's a principle
00:33:08.120 that comes to mind in the book of Genesis, when God told Joseph that there were hard times coming
00:33:17.540 And God gave Joseph a number of visions.
00:33:22.240 And so Joseph at the time was just, you know, he was just a peasant.
00:33:26.040 He was a prisoner, as a matter of fact.
00:33:27.720 And God gave him the interpretation to the dreams that Pharaoh had.
00:33:33.600 And so basically, Pharaoh put him in charge.
00:33:36.260 And there was seven years of plentiful coming and then seven years of famine.
00:33:39.780 And so Joseph devised a plan that he was going to take a percentage of the good years and put food aside because he knew that bad days were coming.
00:33:50.620 Now, if you know how to read the Times at all, you know that inflation costs keep going up and up and up.
00:33:56.940 Most of you are paying taxes and quite hefty taxes, too.
00:34:00.920 They say there are two things that are certainly guaranteed in life, and that's taxes and death.
00:34:06.800 And some are saying we're being taxed to death right now.
00:34:09.780 And so what's going to happen right now is the economy is going to continue to hurt you.
00:34:15.900 And so it's not wrong to put some things aside while you still have a $5 bill and a $10 bill that could still actually buy groceries that are still on the shelf.
00:34:25.420 And so what I'm going to do for this first section is help you to figure out how you can go ahead and stock up some necessities and where to put them in your home and how to do it maybe with some friends and with some family members so that if per chance the food chain is broken or the cost of things soar, for example, how does a war and the Strait of Hormuz gets closed?
00:34:50.280 How does that affect your gas prices and the cost of groceries?
00:34:54.880 And sometimes it doesn't make sense to us, but it is affecting us.
00:34:58.600 OK, and so we're going to try to address some of those things today.
00:35:02.220 But this is the principle, the principle of while you still have cash, while it still
00:35:07.120 buys food and while the food is still there, go ahead and put some aside.
00:35:12.220 OK, so let's go on with the next the next slide.
00:35:15.820 And Terenzio and I were just talking just before the show opened up about gardening
00:35:21.440 because he's Italian and I'm French, you know, and the French with their wines and their
00:35:27.840 foods and the Italians with their vegetables and their foods, you know, we have a lot of
00:35:32.340 things in common.
00:35:33.000 So I do have a number of videos that talk about putting in the gardens, making your
00:35:36.980 own soil.
00:35:38.420 And we've had some people comment and say, well, you know, I live in a city.
00:35:42.540 I can't really plant a garden.
00:35:44.320 Oh, yes, you can. Some of you may say, I live in an apartment building. I can't really garden.
00:35:49.120 Oh, yes, you can. And I address that in the gardening video. Now, years ago, I had a little
00:35:55.000 business that I started. It was called Driftwood Pallet Works. And literally, I would collect
00:36:00.060 pallets. I would put four or five pallets in my SUV. I would tear them apart and I would build
00:36:04.700 planters. I would build all kinds of neat little things. And I would make quite a few hundred
00:36:09.060 dollars every month um i built some raised beds out of out of pallets so you may say i don't have
00:36:15.600 the money um you know to to buy planters and all that if you drive anywhere around town you find
00:36:24.200 pallets bring them tear them apart and even if it only lasts you a few years um use them um here
00:36:32.540 i've got some ideas of how you can do some companion planting and and again all of these
00:36:36.720 slides will be available. Once the video is uploaded, this whole PowerPoint will be available
00:36:42.240 so you can go back and look at the photos and get some ideas. Okay. So I put in the very middle
00:36:48.680 there did come up just nice, but plant a garden and have fun doing it. I'm going to talk a little
00:36:54.940 bit about this later on, but I spent 30 years as a paramedic and part of my therapy to help me get
00:37:00.800 out of my head is my greenhouse and my gardens. It's therapy to get dirt under your fingernails.
00:37:08.100 It's therapy. It helps you deal with some of the problems in the world. Okay. I also have a little
00:37:15.320 portable sawmill and making sawdust or man glitter, as my wife calls it, it's therapy.
00:37:21.160 Okay. There's nothing like being able to eat fresh. Now you may not be able to grow enough
00:37:25.180 food for a whole year, but you know what? There's nothing like being able to bend down
00:37:29.840 and take something out of the garden.
00:37:32.080 I love those little cherry tomatoes.
00:37:34.060 You know, you just pop them fresh in your mouth
00:37:35.780 and they squirt the nice little sweet juices or strawberries.
00:37:40.680 There's nothing like it.
00:37:42.500 So on to the next slide, Terenzio,
00:37:44.280 because there's some more ideas that we can share.
00:37:46.680 Some of you that say,
00:37:47.540 oh, well, I live in an apartment building in a high rise.
00:37:50.320 Well, look what you can do in a high rise.
00:37:52.320 This is a fire escape.
00:37:54.000 You can get some planter boxes.
00:37:55.740 It does not impede the fire escape.
00:37:58.000 There on the left is a community garden.
00:38:00.340 You may have a vacant lot somewhere or some friends or maybe you belong to a church that has like a large lot and there's a lot of vacant space.
00:38:09.460 There's in the gardening video, I talk about a community outside or inside Los Angeles, actually, where people actually turn their entire yard into gardens.
00:38:22.500 There's no grass to mow and it's beautiful and it's edible.
00:38:27.440 And people can actually do that, okay?
00:38:29.920 So be creative with any space you may have.
00:38:32.840 I've actually seen people buy those bags of dirt.
00:38:36.260 And please don't buy the $1 once from Dollar Store that just says dirt
00:38:39.920 because it's not worth the dirt you're buying. 0.99
00:38:42.200 It's garbage. 0.87
00:38:42.820 But buy the ones that may say like Miracle-Gro or the ones that are like better quality. 0.98
00:38:48.240 And they literally just cut with an X-Acto knife or a box cutter,
00:38:52.400 cut a slit in it and take some little tomato plants and stick them in
00:38:55.640 right there on your on your concrete or whatever, and just water them and you'll actually grow
00:39:01.100 tomato plants in them. Stake them up. That's all you need. OK, so be creative. OK, so next slide.
00:39:12.000 Where do you put all your stuff? Now, I talked a little bit about gardening, but here's what my
00:39:17.440 wife and I do. We get our flyers. We got our flyers today. The sales start on Thursdays.
00:39:23.040 we stock up, we get cans, goods. And we have one of our rooms in the basement has become a stock
00:39:33.300 room. We have invested in industrial shelving from Canadian Tire when they've gone on sale.
00:39:38.580 I think we have four, maybe five or six units, but we have that space. Now, people need to get
00:39:46.060 creative. They say, well, you know, I don't want my house to look like a hoarders or whatever.
00:39:50.400 look at the one on the far right. That is somebody's closet. Now, some people say I have
00:39:55.600 way too much clothes. Well, get rid of it and stock up because if one day, one Monday, you go
00:40:02.780 to the grocery store and they say it's too expensive for the trucks to come and we're not
00:40:07.840 getting any food anymore, you'll be happy your closet looks like the one on the right and not
00:40:12.800 full of clothes that you're not going to wear. Right. There's storage you can get underneath
00:40:18.000 your beds. Now, the one on the left, I absolutely love that one because it's full of pails.
00:40:24.780 Now, my wife can't eat beans. She's allergic to beans like lentil beans and red beans and all 1.00
00:40:30.000 that, but I can. They're high in protein and they last you a long time. So when you buy them in the
00:40:36.200 bags, what we do is we've repackaged them either in buckets like that or in sealable totes. Now,
00:40:42.580 the ones in those buckets, those lids have a little rubber seal on them and you can actually
00:40:48.000 push most of the air out. Those beans will last for 40 or 50 years in there. And all you need is
00:40:54.240 a little bit of water to slow cook them. You can add little bits of meat, bacon or whatever, and
00:40:59.080 you've got yourself a high protein meal. Okay. Pickled goods. My wife loves pickled vegetables.
00:41:05.960 So we'll pick up like a five pounds of carrots and those little baby onions or whatever. And 1.00
00:41:10.760 she'll make jars of stuff like that. She'll put some carrots, some cauliflower or whatever. 1.00
00:41:16.000 And we've got a good supply of pickled goods like that. And they literally will last you 20 or 30
00:41:20.940 years. Okay. Find a place for them. Just be careful you don't drop them on the concrete
00:41:27.000 floor because it makes a mess. Okay. Next slide. Here's some other storage ideas. Now the ones on
00:41:34.280 the left, you don't have to be a good carpenter, a few two by fours. Those totes you get at home
00:41:40.520 depot or home hardware and they all stack kind of the same but here's a very interesting way
00:41:47.120 that you can just build your own shelving units using two by fours and the totes you can label
00:41:52.520 them and they're easy to pull on and off and they don't take up a whole lot of space and when
00:41:58.120 they're sealed properly they're also watertight okay look at the photo on the right did you know
00:42:04.300 that you can store eggs for 30 years uh-huh so there's a brine that you can make the recipe is
00:42:12.280 online and you simply put the eggs with the shell inside those jars fill them up very gently you put
00:42:19.480 the brine in it you seal the jar and you put them away and you forget about them for 10 15 20 30
00:42:25.100 years and then when you're ready to use them you pop them out and you rinse them and you cook them
00:42:30.460 And that's it. Now they have to be fresh eggs. Do not buy eggs from the grocery store and do that
00:42:37.340 because, and they have to be unwashed because there's a bloom on them. It's protective of the
00:42:42.420 eggs. We raise our own chickens and we have our own meat hands and we never wash our eggs. I mean,
00:42:47.800 we'll take, you know, excess poop that may be on them, but we keep the bedding clean when the
00:42:52.440 chickens lay the eggs. But that way the eggs can stay on the counter for up to two weeks.
00:42:56.820 And if we do wash them, then they go in the fridge.
00:43:00.460 The poster in the middle there shows you, and there's all kinds of resources like this
00:43:04.980 that you can find online, what kind of foods last almost forever, five to 10 years, two
00:43:10.940 to five years, frozen and dry snacks.
00:43:13.620 Let me tell you that studies have been made that peanut butter unsealed, or sorry, unopened
00:43:22.680 and sealed has been known to have been good and fresh.
00:43:26.820 for up to 40 years past its best before date. Okay, now, the best before date, I was in the
00:43:34.640 medical field for 30 years. And I could tell you the best before date is a money making thing. Okay,
00:43:41.280 we would have medical tubing, intubation tubes, IV lines and all that. Every month, we had to go
00:43:47.980 through our ambulances and and anything that had best before date, we had to ship it out,
00:43:52.960 but it didn't get shipped out. It was either used for training or it would go to third world
00:43:57.060 countries and use unopened bottles of baby aspirin shipped out overseas to be used. So those best
00:44:04.520 before dates are just I like to kid with people and I say they're they're just like the like the
00:44:11.540 suggestion speed limits. You know, that's just a suggestion. No, seriously, don't don't do that.
00:44:17.580 you get a speeding ticket, but you know what, if the, if cans, for example, cans of soup or, or,
00:44:23.180 or, uh, uh, you know, like meals in, in, in a can or whatever, if the cans are not bulging
00:44:30.320 and there's no rust on them, they will last you quite a long time. And so the best before date,
00:44:36.100 uh, is a, is a suggestion. Okay. As long as the cans are not dented, um, you'll be fine.
00:44:45.120 okay it's all on how you store your stuff keep it cool keep it dry and if you can keep it in a dark
00:44:54.000 place that's even better but be creative with where you store your things okay
00:44:58.920 my daughter and her husband were just here the other day they have to replace a bed in their
00:45:04.380 basement and they have to buy a new one and I said you know what build yourself a bed frame
00:45:08.940 that's high enough off the ground that you can put storage totes underneath because you know
00:45:14.340 like I have a large family and I've taught all my kids to be preppers and they're like yeah
00:45:19.120 absolutely that's what we want to do okay they just bought their first home and so be creative
00:45:24.860 with where and how you store your stuff okay all right so uh on that as well I have done a number
00:45:32.980 of videos on dehydrating because did you know that you can uh you can dehydrate a lot of your
00:45:39.620 things. Meat. So I am a hunter. And so the cupboard doors behind me here, I've got all
00:45:48.580 kinds of bottled venison and bear and rabbit. And that stuff is good for 20 years. No joke.
00:45:57.840 It does not take up room in the freezer. And it's safe. And it's my wife even buys a lean hamburger
00:46:05.700 and she'll stick it in a jar and she'll cook it for 90 minutes at 11 pounds of pressure.
00:46:11.620 Once it cools down, it goes on the shelf. It's good for 10 or 15 years. So if the power goes
00:46:17.120 out for a long time, we'll talk about that in a little bit. It's safe and it's good. Okay. Okay.
00:46:23.100 Let's go on to the next slide. So a tower garden is another thing that I've done a short video on.
00:46:30.460 As a matter of fact, one of the team members on our team, Jenny, she's, I don't know if they still call them distributors or not, but the two photos, the one on the left and on the right is, I just took that, I believe yesterday or the day before of our Tower Garden.
00:46:46.400 It looks messy right now because we're in the process of starting up some new lettuces and herbs.
00:46:52.240 But the Tower Garden by Juice Plus, and again, there'll be a link in the description, is a very good investment.
00:46:58.340 Now, I just went on the Canadian site the other day.
00:47:01.120 The Tower Garden itself is probably a little over $800.
00:47:04.720 And then the light kit, which includes the lights and the timer system, is probably another $400 and change.
00:47:13.960 So you're looking at, you know, a little over $1,200.
00:47:17.200 But here's what I figured out.
00:47:18.720 If one person in your home has a salad once a day for five days a week, you'll have this paid off in a year.
00:47:25.840 if you have two people in your home that have a salad once a day you'll have this paid off in six
00:47:32.180 months now if you add some herbs in this and we have um we have some basil growing in there and
00:47:39.720 we have a few other things my wife doesn't like cilantro so there's something else anyway there's
00:47:45.900 a couple of herbs in there and then if we also i love swiss chard so there's swiss chard in there
00:47:50.400 and kale so if you add those things you'll have it paid off in even a shorter amount of time okay
00:47:57.240 the nice thing with this is there's no dirt you start your seeds in those little peed pods there
00:48:02.520 that you see and once they reach about three inches you stick them in and the water comes on
00:48:08.260 once every 15 minutes or so for about a minute minute and a half the lights come on at six in
00:48:13.940 the morning they go off at 11 at night and that's it you fill the tower up once every three weeks
00:48:18.780 I think, with about 19 gallons of water. And that's it. So that's something to do now. And
00:48:24.500 you have fresh vegetables all the time. High in iron if you grow your kale and all that. So
00:48:29.860 that's something else to consider. Okay, let's go on to the next video. Oh, sorry. So section number
00:48:36.520 two, prepping for emergencies. This is a big one. This is what happens if all of a sudden,
00:48:44.480 you know, I'm not going to go into worse, worst case scenarios. But what if there's an EMP? What
00:48:48.700 if the power goes off for a month? What if the cell towers go down? What if there's a hurricane?
00:48:56.100 What if there's something dramatic and drastic that happens? How can we be prepared? The best
00:49:01.380 time to be prepared for this is now. If you don't have some of these items now, you won't be able
00:49:07.660 to get them if you can't order them or if you can't get them now, okay? Now, there's four things
00:49:13.440 that are needed for survival. Four essential things, water, shelter, food, and heat. Okay.
00:49:20.720 I'm going to focus mostly on two of them right now because I don't have four hours to do this
00:49:25.120 presentation. The two I'm going to focus on are water and food. I'm going to touch a little bit
00:49:29.520 on heat a little bit. Okay. So you'll see there in the center, that shiny silver thing, that's not
00:49:38.000 a space shuttle that we're building here, getting ready. That is a Berkey water system. And we have
00:49:43.060 a wonderful water Berkey system. Now we have a well here, we're outside of the city limits of
00:49:49.240 Sydney, we're on a river, and we have wonderful water. But because we're right on a river,
00:49:53.440 we have a little bit of sediment in our water. And so we put all of our water through the Berkey
00:49:59.420 water system. Ours holds three gallon at the top, and then it filters down. And we put two filters
00:50:06.040 in there. And those two filters are good for 3000 gallons of water. Once that water goes through
00:50:12.220 there we always have water going in and out then we take that water we have a container in the
00:50:16.420 fridge so it's always cold and we also have portable berkies now this is not one of them
00:50:22.280 but it looks kind of like this it's got a berkey system in it we can literally take this and scoop
00:50:28.560 water from anywhere uh they say you can even take sewer water and it'll filter out and it's
00:50:35.540 100% good to drink. It's on their video. You can take river water. You just can't take salt water,
00:50:43.100 but you can take any water and it takes about half an hour and it's good to drink. That's how
00:50:49.120 good the Berkey's are. There's, I think, six or seven different size Berkey's that you can get.
00:50:54.500 They are well worth your investment. Okay. You can take them camping with you. Just be careful
00:51:00.960 not to dent them. I highly, highly, highly recommend a Berkey water system. The big tank on
00:51:06.500 the right is a Vivore collapsible rain barrel. It's made of a fabric that's really difficult to
00:51:12.460 tear. But if you put it near a downspout, this one here, the link I think that I put catches,
00:51:17.960 I think, around 100 or 200 gallons. There's two spouts on it, one lower down and then one down
00:51:24.940 in the middle. And you catch this water, again, you can filter that water to drink.
00:51:30.780 Don't forget that in case of an emergency, you may want to have a shower. Because in the case
00:51:35.820 of emergencies, people can tend to stink a little bit. Okay, but you'll need water to cook,
00:51:41.120 you'll need water to survive, you need water to survive. Okay, so keep that in mind. Okay,
00:51:47.680 So next slide. Here's something very important. I do talk about my video cooking without
00:51:56.400 electricity. I do talk about rocket stoves. Now, the one on the left, I actually have that one,
00:52:03.320 but it's a nice green color. It comes in that nice little carry bag. A rocket stove is something
00:52:08.360 that's portable and it literally uses sticks and twigs. The one on the left has a cast iron top.
00:52:16.940 It works really well with a cast iron frying pan or with a Dutch oven.
00:52:22.460 You can cook just about anything on it.
00:52:24.120 And that one there is super sturdy.
00:52:27.220 You can make your own rocket stoves like the one on the right.
00:52:31.020 There's all kinds of plans on YouTube.
00:52:33.680 This one here is filled with perlite as an insulator.
00:52:36.580 I've built some with sand.
00:52:37.900 They're heavier, but you basically build them out of coffee cans and you use twigs and it
00:52:44.800 produces a nice big fire.
00:52:46.160 You can put a kettle on there. And here's the thing. You can build these things now. You can you can have your children build them, your grandkids build them, and you can use them to trade when it all hits the fan or you can use them to sell for a few dollars and get, you know, some commodity to to buy other things.
00:53:06.560 there's a company called BioLite like the one in the middle there and it's a little bit bigger than
00:53:13.860 this and you literally feed twigs in the top and as it burns it produces electricity to recharge
00:53:20.340 either a cell phone or one of those little battery packs and it's so cool the way they work
00:53:27.780 now there's another kit that comes with it that goes along the top that's a cooking platform and
00:53:33.280 so you can cook some bacon and eggs and sausages or whatever or you can put a kettle on top and
00:53:39.760 create water and at the same time you're making electricity and that other kit that comes with it
00:53:44.840 there's a nice little led light that sticks out the top so if you're using it at night you have
00:53:49.680 a nice little night light now here's something cool i was cleaning out the bottom of our medicine
00:53:54.320 cabinet the other day and i found two um you know those old-fashioned uh hot water bottles like you
00:54:00.700 see at the bottom there the the beige one there we have two of them we've never used them but i
00:54:05.220 was asking my wife the other day do we have any of those because her feet were cold and i thought i
00:54:09.500 fill it with hot water but i was on amazon and so i have the link to that one there look at the
00:54:14.720 fancy little pink cozy on there you can stick your hands in there because i was thinking you know if
00:54:20.260 you have a way to warm up some water put it in there we're talking about heat here a little bit
00:54:25.780 But if you get cold, you can stick one of those inside your jacket.
00:54:29.800 If the power goes out and your house is cold, you can stick it at the bottom of your your sleeping bag or you can just like wear it like inside your clothing or whatever, and it will help keep you warm.
00:54:43.720 Right. So the little bio light there, for example, you're creating a little bit of heat, you're cooking, you're making electricity and you're providing hot water to put in a hot water bottle to keep yourself warm.
00:54:54.820 So you're doing four things with one thing.
00:54:58.140 How cool is that?
00:54:59.540 OK, so on to the next slide.
00:55:03.360 Some people have asked about generators.
00:55:07.280 Now, this is a brand new world with generators.
00:55:10.460 I have a generator that we need half the family to pull out.
00:55:13.460 It's a good one.
00:55:14.780 It's a big one.
00:55:15.520 It's probably, I'm going to say, like 9,500 watts.
00:55:19.340 It would probably do our whole home.
00:55:22.480 And when I say that, we have like four deep freezers, a fridge, and I think, you know, maybe the water tower and a few other things.
00:55:32.480 It's big.
00:55:34.020 But it's a big old Honda generator.
00:55:38.400 A couple things I want to say about this.
00:55:40.920 It works really well.
00:55:43.480 When you're looking at the Honda generators, and Honda is a brand I would highly recommend, they come with a GX engine or a GS engine.
00:55:50.720 The GS engine is more the home brand.
00:55:53.480 The GX engine is more the industrial one.
00:55:56.020 If you're going to invest in a Honda, get one with a GX engine.
00:55:59.120 Now, I may have some numbers before or after that.
00:56:03.020 Invest the extra $100 or $200 and get the GX engine, okay?
00:56:07.360 Hands down.
00:56:08.740 In Canada, we don't have fuel that...
00:56:16.720 all of our fuel has ethanol in it. Okay. We don't have ethanol free fuel. And so you have to use
00:56:25.760 the stable, the fuel stabilizer. And so I put a link again in there, Canadian Tires, where I get,
00:56:30.980 I've got, I don't know how many bottles, I've got all kinds of bottles, but literally you don't need
00:56:35.320 very much, like basically a little over an ounce, we'll do like two and a half gallons of gasoline.
00:56:42.000 And so the way I do it is if I have a 10 liter jug, I will put the desired amount in the bottom
00:56:47.380 of the gas can, the jerry can. Then I will put the gas and it mixes it as it goes in.
00:56:52.440 And it will keep your fuel stable for two years. I have a diesel tractor and I do the same with
00:56:59.140 the diesel. I put diesel stabilizer in it. Same thing. Now we need to talk about the different
00:57:04.680 types of generators. There are inverter generators today, which are fairly new in the
00:57:10.980 market, but they are fantastic. What that means is this. My old style generator, when you start
00:57:16.540 it, it runs wide open, whether you've got anything plugged into it or not. And everybody down the
00:57:22.440 road, down to the highway can hear it. The inverter generators are great because they run at a very
00:57:28.880 low idle speed. And as you plug things into it that draw power, their speed goes up. So they
00:57:35.020 start drawing a little bit more fuel. Okay. So that is worth your investment. The one on the
00:57:41.440 lower left, the champion one, I believe those are a Canadian tire thing that you can get.
00:57:47.340 They will run on gasoline, on diesel and on propane. So that's something that you may want
00:57:53.040 to consider as well. Okay. Speaking of propane, it will never hurt you to have extra propane
00:58:00.820 fuel tanks around your house. In cooking without power, I talk about having a barbecue and some
00:58:07.800 propane tanks. Sometimes at Canadian Tire, the little propane tanks will go on sale, like three
00:58:13.300 for $12 or whatever. If you have extra money, buy some, store them somewhere safe, because when it
00:58:20.200 all hits the fan, people may not have them that need them. You've got something to trade with.
00:58:25.640 Okay, it's a commodity, a good tradable commodity. Okay. All right, let's go on to the next slide, because there's a few other things that we need to talk about. What about electric generators? I have two Jackery's and fantastic. Absolutely amazing. Now they are costly. Okay, it's worth the investment. So the photo on the far left, I have that Jackery.
00:58:51.720 it's a 2000 unit. So 2000 watts. And I also have the photo on the right, the far right,
00:58:59.180 the one with the handle, it's a 300 plus. And both of these units, they recharge multiple ways.
00:59:06.220 So when you're traveling in your vehicle, there's a cord that you can plug into your cigarette
00:59:10.460 lighter in your vehicle, and they'll recharge that way. They also come with a cord that while
00:59:15.400 you have power in your house, you can plug them into your house and they'll recharge that way.
00:59:19.420 they will recharge with a generator and i also have a number of solar panels so when the sun's
00:59:25.600 out they will recharge that way they are quiet so you use them inside your home you don't hear
00:59:31.780 there's a little tiny little fan that runs but you hardly ever hear it okay so it could be pouring
00:59:36.480 rain outside you bring those in your house now jackery also has a entire house unit that gets
00:59:43.400 hardwired into your house. And you may need the help of an electrician to do that. But if the
00:59:49.980 power goes out, basically, it's quiet, and it'll fire up your entire house. You don't need gasoline,
00:59:56.000 you don't need propane, you don't need diesel or anything. And it's literally hardwired into
01:00:02.180 your house. So there's a link to, I believe there's a link to Jackery. Now I've got to say
01:00:09.140 this Canadian Tire has started selling Jackery as well however if you get it right from Jackery
01:00:15.220 the price will be the same as Canadian Tire but for example like the Jackery 300 plus
01:00:20.780 right from Jackery they throw in an extra solar panel for the same price and the solar panels
01:00:26.500 are $200 each so you get a bit of a bonus okay all right on to the next slide there's a few other
01:00:33.480 things we don't have time to talk about but I just want to show you these photos we're going
01:00:38.120 to describe a few things in the next slide. But when it comes to things hitting the fan, what
01:00:42.920 should you have? There's all kinds of things you probably should or could have. You need to have
01:00:49.960 a plan. Remember the very first part of this video presentation, I said, if you need to have a plan,
01:00:56.620 you need to think, okay, if there's a flood in my area, where do I go? What do I do? Who do I
01:01:02.360 connect with? Who do I contact? Do I stay put? Is there someplace safe I can go? In the first photo
01:01:08.560 on the left, you'll see there's things like lanterns. I'll talk about lanterns in just a
01:01:12.900 moment. There's things like candles and utensils, a little French press there, a kettle that you
01:01:22.860 heat over a wood stove. There's your little blue water bottle, hot water bottle, right?
01:01:27.260 There's bottles of wine in the bottom left corner. Now, I've heard of people that go to the wine
01:01:31.420 store, get those wine kits for like $120 and get the wine store to make them not so that they will
01:01:37.540 have wine to drink, but they'll have something to trade. You know, it ends up that a bottle of wine
01:01:43.020 made from the wine store costs you $4. And if it all hits the fan, you can trade them for 20 bucks
01:01:49.480 or whatever. Okay, something to consider. The photo on the far right has a lot of the items
01:01:55.020 we're going to talk about in the next slide. But the photo in the middle is what I want you to get
01:01:59.740 your, to get your attention. My, uh, one of my grandsons just turned 14 years old a couple of
01:02:05.260 days ago. And, uh, I said, so what are you doing for your birthday? He says, well, I just came back
01:02:09.700 from, uh, uh, picking up 13 chainsaws. And he says, just before Christmas, I picked up another
01:02:14.800 eight or nine. And, uh, he said, I fixed them up. I cleaned them up. I put a new bar and chain on
01:02:21.140 them and then I trade them or I sell them. He's into four wheelers as well. And, uh, he learned
01:02:26.440 himself well my son helped him but he taught himself how to repair small engines and you know
01:02:34.300 in a case of a disaster people will want or need chainsaws you know trees are down people will want
01:02:40.920 firewood and it may be hard to come by so here's a 14 year old kid who just turned 14
01:02:46.460 who's got a collection of chainsaws and so that's something you may want to consider too you may say
01:02:54.440 I don't know a thing about chainsaws, you know what, you can learn a lot on YouTube these days
01:02:58.420 while you still can. And I wouldn't go out and buy a whole bunch of lawnmowers because people
01:03:03.760 may not be so worried about mowing their grass during a state of emergency, but a chainsaw,
01:03:08.980 maybe. Or maybe you've got a grandchild or a grandson who may have interest in this,
01:03:14.540 just something to consider, okay? Or if you have a chainsaw or two, you may want to consider
01:03:20.000 picking up an extra, you know, bar and chain and gear oil and all that because it may be hard to
01:03:26.860 come by in case of an emergency. Okay, so let's go on to the next slide. We'll get into a few more
01:03:33.180 detailed things here. Have you ever thought that, you know, in case of an emergency, you may want
01:03:38.200 to shower, but you also may want to clean your clothes? Well, how do you do that with no
01:03:41.980 electricity? Well, here on Amazon is a really neat little washing machine. You just put your
01:03:47.060 clothes in a bit of water bit of soap and you just turn the handle and then you wring out your clothes
01:03:53.320 remember those old washing machines that your grandparents used to have you know and then there
01:03:58.740 was those rollers on top and i was always warned if you stick your hand in there it'll be flat as
01:04:03.680 a pancake well i tried it once it hurt but it did my hand didn't come out flat as a pancake but you
01:04:09.400 know you can still buy those rollers and you just turn turn it by hand and i've got the links for
01:04:14.400 that in the description of the video okay and so you can wash your clothes and i didn't put it in
01:04:21.200 here but it goes without saying you can buy a clothes line like a camping clothes line with
01:04:25.980 clothes pins and that so you can actually smell nice and you know you can have clean clothes and
01:04:32.100 people are like wow do you come from the you know non-danger zone or whatever things like those
01:04:38.140 headlights on the left. I have some right here in the drawer as we go up the door. I have some in
01:04:45.100 the console of my vehicle. They are super bright, super handy. Nobody wants to be cranky in case of
01:04:53.460 an emergency. So we all need coffee, right? And so a French press, you're going to need coffee and
01:04:59.560 your electric coffee machine won't work. So you're going to need coffee beans and a little hand
01:05:04.380 grinder. We're all going to need batteries. And so here's a little caddy to organize your batteries.
01:05:08.800 That Dietz lantern there that you see, I think I own nine of them. I love Dietz lanterns. Dietz
01:05:14.800 lanterns are also called hurricane lanterns because you can't blow them out. You literally can't. You
01:05:20.340 have to push the little thing with your thumb to lift up the top and blow with all your might
01:05:25.840 to blow them out. They are super handy. Now they don't give off a lot of light, but they run on
01:05:31.500 kerosene so a gallon of kerosene will last you forever and you can get them on marketplace
01:05:37.180 sometimes for 20 or 30 bucks brand new they vary in size colored whatever but you know 60 70 80
01:05:43.580 bucks but i tell you they are wonderful and they're also a collector item too so and then on the far
01:05:48.920 left i've got these um these communication devices they're they're kind of like a satellite radio uh
01:05:56.240 they are they can be pricey but let me say one thing about this before we go on to the next slide
01:06:00.240 know with your people in case of an emergency where you're going to meet and where you're
01:06:05.360 going to go and how you're going to get there roads may be blocked if the powers that be don't
01:06:10.900 want you driving anymore it's not that they're going to make gas on a like super expensive
01:06:15.580 they're going to stop delivering gas to your gas stations so you won't be able to get there anyway
01:06:20.560 you won't have gas okay so find a place where maybe you can walk to to meet up be it with people
01:06:28.380 from your church or people from your neighborhood or your family, figure out a way. Okay. All right.
01:06:34.800 Next slide. People will need to get creative and it's time to be creative now. Put your creative
01:06:45.280 juices on now. Now, at one point I grew up in Montreal. We went everywhere on a bicycle,
01:06:52.000 especially in the summer, as soon as it was light and until it got dark. Okay. But look at this
01:06:57.980 bicycle doesn't that look a little tacky but doesn't also look a little bit useful these days
01:07:03.860 right as long as you don't get a flat tire i saw a really nice one i didn't put the picture on but
01:07:08.300 it had a really nice little wooden crate in the back that all folded down so it looked like nobody
01:07:13.820 wanted to steal it kind of thing but it folded all up and you can put like all kinds of groceries
01:07:19.740 on there right i mean that may be how we have to get her get around and it's cheap it's on pedal
01:07:26.300 power okay um so think how you can communicate uh now i've got a section here just called
01:07:33.320 protection so acquire good hunting knives like really good hunting lives like bowie knives and
01:07:38.940 stuff like that you know and i'm at the point now where uh in the door of all our vehicles my wife
01:07:45.500 and i right in the door like right in the handle of the door we have knives because you never know
01:07:51.140 who's going to come to your window or whatever, you know, and I've taught my wife, like, how you
01:07:56.820 just protect yourself, because you need to, okay? If they come and try to take your guns away, don't
01:08:02.680 let them, but also have ammunition, like ammunition is hard to get by now. So if you know somebody
01:08:08.420 that reloads ammunition, get some, okay? Machetes, we have machetes in all of our outbuildings,
01:08:16.920 just you know i i spent three years in the jungles of brazil uh in the amazon jungle doing missions
01:08:22.540 work there and when i came back i brought some really nice machetes home and they're all sharp
01:08:27.400 and ready to like you just never know it's becoming a crazy world okay uh bows and arrows
01:08:34.040 you may say i don't even know how to use a bow and arrow you know what learn it's fun it's actually
01:08:39.280 very fun crossbow like i hunt with the crossbow but even just a simple recurve bow and arrow
01:08:46.000 it's fun to use. So learn to practice, just have fun with it. And you just never know. Okay. Have
01:08:53.380 a good supply of cash on hand, as well as gold, silver and other precious metals to trade. You
01:08:58.800 may say, you know what? I don't have enough money to buy gold, silver, or precious metals. You know
01:09:06.080 what? If you can buy a couple of silver coins, do it. Okay. Junk metal. We have Steve that we
01:09:15.860 work with at uh silver gold bull he sells bags of junk metal it'll cost you a few bucks uh every
01:09:23.380 time i get a handful of change i don't just i have bottles of change that i keep around i don't just
01:09:28.520 stick it in a bottle i look at i look at every quarter to make sure it's not one of those older
01:09:34.660 quarters and all the other old dimes i make sure because i've i've found some i have and i've got
01:09:41.760 bottles of them. Okay. Uh, and then that survival guide on the left is something you can look at
01:09:46.760 later, but shelter, you know, you may need to have shelter, get one of them cheap tents, like a two
01:09:52.120 man tent and stick it in your vehicle because you never know you've got to go quickly. Um,
01:09:59.300 you'll not be sorry. You have it if you absolutely need it, you know, um, a cheap fishing rod and
01:10:04.940 some tackle or whatever be prepared is what i'm saying okay all right and uh let's go on to the
01:10:12.560 next one we're almost done this section here so things to stock up with now to trade with later
01:10:18.320 because you know you've heard it said some things may actually be difficult to acquire later on now
01:10:24.120 before i i get into this list here you'll see a canadian tire bucket there on the bottom left with
01:10:29.040 the lady might say what in the world is that for well some of these things here are easily
01:10:34.060 storable in these Canadian tire buckets. These Canadian tire buckets are actually food grade
01:10:39.300 and inside the lid, it's, there's a rubber seal so you can seal them tight. You can actually fill
01:10:46.320 these with water when you're done with them. Now you can fill these with water. You can put 10
01:10:51.400 drops of 6% hydrogen peroxide and that water will store for 10 years. It won't go bad.
01:10:58.260 okay we use hydrogen peroxide here mixed with baking soda um to brush our teeth so it's it's
01:11:05.440 it won't take you won't taste 10 drops in there as a matter of fact in this water bottle i put
01:11:11.120 15 to 20 drops of hydrogen peroxide six percent the the food grade in here okay so it's not going
01:11:17.260 to hurt you so these buckets are about five dollars at canadian tire and the lids are two
01:11:21.460 dollars it's a cheap thing and you can take all of these things here on this list stick them in there
01:11:26.700 and I'll tell you, these are good things
01:11:29.400 to trade with later on, okay?
01:11:31.040 Over-the-counter pain medication.
01:11:33.720 So ibuprofen, Tylenol,
01:11:35.500 especially children's pain relievers.
01:11:38.480 Those seem to be the first ones to go, okay? 0.95
01:11:41.260 Lighters and matches, female hygiene products,
01:11:44.140 candles, toilet paper.
01:11:45.600 Now it's hard to put toilet paper in there,
01:11:46.980 but you know what, like keep a few packages.
01:11:49.140 You can even rewrap those individually,
01:11:51.380 like in a Ziploc.
01:11:52.160 That may be worth, oh, that may be worth
01:11:54.540 a lot of money someday.
01:11:55.460 You just never know, right?
01:11:56.700 Right. Socks, batteries, cooking oil, antibiotics. Now, those might be a little tricky to get, but you can get generic antibiotics sometimes.
01:12:04.620 OK, so vitamins, especially zinc and magnesium.
01:12:09.540 OK, GI meds, gastrointestinal medications, especially the anti-diarrhea type medications, because people will be drinking dirty water and so they can get the diarrheas.
01:12:20.600 So vinyl gloves, bandages. So coffee filters. There's so many uses for coffee filters and coffee.
01:12:26.640 Dried foods, especially fruits and nuts.
01:12:28.860 Zip ties, Ziploc bags.
01:12:30.840 Tools.
01:12:31.340 Now, here's the thing with tools.
01:12:32.820 Marketplace.
01:12:33.500 Sometimes you find a find for, you know, like half a truckload of used tools for $20, $30, $40.
01:12:40.780 And some of them you can just simply clean up, repurpose, refurbish, and reuse or trade.
01:12:47.040 Shaving cream and razors.
01:12:48.620 Soap, deodorant.
01:12:49.720 Very important.
01:12:50.840 Food-grade hydrogen peroxide.
01:12:52.580 Bleach.
01:12:53.880 Here's something people don't often think about, but coloring books and coloring pencils and crayons.
01:12:58.900 Kids are going to want something to do.
01:13:00.500 Their tablets may not work anymore or their games on their phones.
01:13:04.140 Notebooks, pens, pencils, crossword puzzles, lip balm, cleaning and disinfecting supplies, pet food, firewood and tarps.
01:13:13.160 Tarps. My goodness.
01:13:14.340 Tarps go on sale, Canadian tarp for five bucks for the cheap, like the four by eight foots.
01:13:20.160 People will need something to cover themselves with or cover some of their belongings, like
01:13:24.120 pick up a dozen, two dozen, three dozen, you know, for 50 bucks, 60 bucks. It'll be worth an
01:13:30.900 investment. I'm just literally touching the tip of the iceberg here. Okay, so let's get on to the
01:13:37.460 next one, Terenzio. Now, I want to spend just a little bit of time on the most important one,
01:13:43.920 because it doesn't matter how prepared you are for this life. I want to just speak from my
01:13:49.500 heart right now. So I really want you to to listen very carefully. I spent close to 25 years in the
01:13:58.040 ministry as a pastor, and I've done lots of funerals. I spent 30 years as a paramedic. And
01:14:04.060 I want to tell you something. I've seen lots of people die. A lot of people that died were not
01:14:09.260 expecting to die. And a lot of them. It just happened. People got up in the morning and they
01:14:16.380 had some place to go. They got cleaned up. They put clean socks and underwear on and they never
01:14:21.940 made it. And for 21 years of my 30 year career, my beat was the undivided portion of the Trans 1.00
01:14:28.840 Canada Highway. So I saw a lot of stuff and it broke my heart that a lot of people were not
01:14:35.260 prepared for eternity. Everybody has a birthday, but nobody really knows their death day. Now,
01:14:44.120 besides saying that, I'm going to speak to you from experience. Okay. I was always a fairly
01:14:49.460 healthy person. And, uh, almost a year ago, May 31st last year in 2025, I had spent 10 weeks in
01:14:57.240 the hospital. Now, some of you heard my story Christmas time, but I spent 10 weeks in the
01:15:01.040 hospital, um, all last winter, very sick. And I almost died three times and I was feeling better.
01:15:07.620 May 31st, I came home and sorry, early April, I came home.
01:15:15.140 But then towards the end of May, I started getting sick again, went to the hospital and
01:15:20.080 they did a CT scan, did some blood work, sat me down and they said, we have some bad news
01:15:24.300 for you.
01:15:24.980 You've got pancreatic cancer. 0.88
01:15:27.120 And my daughter was about to get married.
01:15:29.520 And I was like, I don't know how it hit me.
01:15:32.140 I can't even really remember.
01:15:34.340 But my wife started to cry because a number of years ago, my wife lost another husband to cancer.
01:15:41.880 And it was quick.
01:15:42.860 And he got the diagnosis, you know, in the winter when I was sick and he died just about the same time I got the diagnosis.
01:15:51.280 And so it was like, wow, you know, here I am doing the Lord's work for all these years.
01:15:57.220 I have a large family.
01:15:59.100 And so now death was facing me right in the face.
01:16:02.620 and the doctor the specialist that I saw said the kind of cancer you have is always 100% fatal
01:16:08.980 he said we're going to do surgery as soon as possible they did a scope they did a biopsy
01:16:15.000 and he's like there's no time to lose already I was at a stage three and so long story short
01:16:21.820 July 9th I had the surgery and it was a very invasive surgery they took out my pancreas my
01:16:28.020 spleen, a bunch of other parts. And it turns out from that moment on, I was a type one diabetic.
01:16:35.100 And it's been a rough go. It really has. But I'm still here. And I don't know for how long.
01:16:42.220 But I was told that the survival rate for this kind of cancer and surgery is one year. And so
01:16:49.240 now I'm at the nine month mark. And in two weeks, I will turn 60 years old. And I prayed and I said,
01:16:56.700 Lord, if you will let me live to 60 years old, I still think I have work to do.
01:17:02.180 And so when I'm talking about preparing for eternity, I'm prepared for eternity.
01:17:08.660 You see, in July of 1976, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ.
01:17:13.680 I understood as a 10-year-old boy that I was a sinner.
01:17:17.000 And if I died then, I was not going to go to heaven.
01:17:20.800 I knew that.
01:17:21.860 I understood that from God's word.
01:17:24.440 And so I've lived my life, surrendered to the Lord.
01:17:28.220 And so that's how it's been.
01:17:30.320 But I have never had more peace in my life, more joy in my life, more hope in my life,
01:17:38.480 more wisdom in my life, more understanding in my life than I have now, than I have had
01:17:45.200 in this last year.
01:17:46.640 It's been tough.
01:17:48.020 I mean, the pain is just unreal.
01:17:49.580 Again, I got a phone call today from my doctor, news about the pain team and the different
01:17:54.580 medications they want to put me on.
01:17:56.480 And you know what?
01:17:56.920 It's all good, but it's been tough on my wife.
01:17:59.560 It's been tough on some of my kids.
01:18:01.880 I've got grandchild number 12 coming in October, and I would really like to meet the little
01:18:05.580 one.
01:18:06.240 I really would.
01:18:08.000 But my mission now, what I'm doing, part of Action for Canada, is to be a source of
01:18:16.160 hope, in spite of all of the things that Tanya is educating you on, the threats to our democracy
01:18:22.880 in Canada and to our nation and to our country, there's more to it. Because you see, everybody
01:18:28.340 listening to what I'm saying, you're all going to die someday unless the Lord comes back.
01:18:38.140 And so it turns out, let's go into the next slide. It'd be easy for me just to explain with
01:18:41.800 what god is saying here in hebrews 9 27 28 the author of hebrews says this just as man is destined
01:18:49.080 to die once after that to face judgment so christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many
01:18:55.500 people and he will appear a second time not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are
01:19:00.840 waiting for him the lord makes it clear everybody dies but that doesn't have to be the bad news
01:19:10.900 this world this life is preparation for eternity and please don't think that you know christians
01:19:17.720 they go to heaven and they strum on a harp boy that would be so boring and if that's what it was
01:19:22.540 i wouldn't be here telling you about it not at all let me tell you my life has been so full 0.87
01:19:28.680 my goodness i've ministered in former communist countries i've had ak-47s pointed at my head and
01:19:36.640 at my back. I ministered in the jungles of Brazil. Like, oh my goodness, I've had such a full life.
01:19:43.620 I really have. But I knew from a young age, someday I'm going to die. But when I die,
01:19:51.740 that's when my life is really just going to start. This life is preparation for the next life.
01:19:59.400 Because you see, God's word says, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
01:20:03.420 now i could think well i'm a good person see i never really did anything bad in my life
01:20:11.560 i remember stealing a pencil case when i was in grade one
01:20:15.800 but i stole it out of the lost and found box but i felt so bad i had to i had to put it back
01:20:21.360 but the bible says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of god now you may be thinking
01:20:27.460 tonight i don't think i'm a bad person let me ask you have you ever told a lie 0.98
01:20:31.500 of course you have that makes you a liar
01:20:35.600 have you ever lusted after someone of the opposite sex 0.91
01:20:40.780 the bible says that makes you an adulterer you may say well i've never actually committed
01:20:47.000 adultery but jesus said if you've even had the lustful thoughts it's the same as committing
01:20:50.900 adultery one of the ten commandments says do not use the lord's name in vain if you ever
01:20:57.780 have done that. That's breaking God's moral law. See, we all have sinned. And because of that,
01:21:05.180 we're falsehood of the glory of God. That photo there in that verse in Romans 3, 23, you see the
01:21:10.400 large chasm between man and God, which simply can't bridge it. But Jesus Christ came, the Son
01:21:15.020 of God, to bridge that gap. So let's go on with the, oh, before I do that, in James 4 and Psalm 103,
01:21:22.040 we are reminded that life on earth is short it's but a vapor but a blade of grass i gotta tell you
01:21:29.320 in almost 60 years man my life has gone so quickly and it seems like um
01:21:35.500 life is almost like the second half of your gas tank you know it goes by quicker
01:21:41.660 it really does so let's go on to the next slide terenzio
01:21:45.060 but god so loved the world see some of you think god hates you and that's why you're in the
01:21:54.260 predicament that you're in that's why you have fear that's why you've had so many bad things
01:21:58.200 happen to you no so many bad things have happened because we live in a sin fallen world
01:22:03.420 the bible says that this world is where the prince of darkness reigns for now but in the meantime god
01:22:13.600 so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him will not perish
01:22:18.620 but have eternal life and the next verse says for god did not send his son into the world
01:22:22.220 to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved
01:22:25.320 i love john 10 10 he says this is jesus speaking says i came that they may have life and have it
01:22:32.960 abundantly now here's where i want you to pause for just a minute some of you are living in what
01:22:37.500 I call a cubicle life. You live for your job. Your life is like a cubicle. You get up in the
01:22:45.540 morning, you get dressed at breakfast, you go to work and then you go home. Your life revolves
01:22:50.360 around your work or it revolves around your toys that you have. You know, your boats, your four
01:22:54.980 wheelers, your golf game, your friends, your nightlife in the weekends. Maybe it's your family
01:23:00.620 that's your idol and your life is just not fulfilling. But Jesus says, I've come that you
01:23:06.760 may have life more abundantly. He is your creator. And when you know him, you look outside and all
01:23:13.880 of creation screams of a creator and you get to enjoy it. I tell you, I have never felt the
01:23:21.720 presence of God more than I was bent over in pain, curled up, crying in pain. I could literally feel
01:23:29.760 the presence of God on my bed. And I felt good, not in a sadistic way, but Jesus was there. Jesus
01:23:38.500 promised, I will never leave you nor forsake you. And I was like, Lord, if I were to die right now,
01:23:45.820 I'm okay with that. But if you're going to help me through it, I'm okay with that too.
01:23:51.980 And Jesus came to reconcile us to God by paying the penalty of sin. Man, I don't know
01:23:58.040 any greater love than that. My wife loves me, but not that much. Oh, she may die for me. I used to
01:24:06.920 tell my kids when they were growing up, I would take a bullet for you. I have nine kids, so that 0.67
01:24:12.020 would be a lot of bullets. I have almost 12 grandkids. That'd be a lot, a lot of bullets.
01:24:17.800 But you see, God came to reconcile us to God, not just a one-time thing, but just so that we can
01:24:23.540 enjoy life abundantly on earth. And that means to have peace that passes all understanding and love
01:24:28.440 and joy and hope and wisdom and discernment and understanding and knowledge. But also for all of
01:24:33.380 eternity, I want you to think about that. A place of perfection, no sin or pain or tears or sorrow
01:24:38.600 or death, streets of gold and heavenly city, a tree of life, but also eternal work. This place
01:24:45.380 is preparing you for work for all of eternity. Man, that's going to be exciting. Whatever you
01:24:51.320 enjoy doing here on earth, God's preparing you for eternal work. There's so many parables about,
01:24:57.320 you know, the talents and God is preparing us. And I'm so excited about that. So I thank God
01:25:06.060 that we can be prepared for the here and now. We can stock up. And if the Lord comes and takes us
01:25:11.440 home, whoever is left behind, they're going to have a good find when they walk into this place.
01:25:15.860 but you know what if he has us here for another few years and i'm still here for a few years
01:25:23.040 more years i'm going to enjoy it because god is faithful to his promises so the next slide
01:25:30.340 in the last book of the bible the book of revelation in the last chapter of the last book
01:25:39.240 jesus says three times if you have a red letter edition bible
01:25:44.360 Three times, Jesus says, I'm coming back soon.
01:25:48.960 Now, if he said that 2,000 years ago, because this book was written in 90 AD,
01:25:53.520 at the very, very end, Jesus says, I'm coming back soon.
01:25:57.360 Don't let that scare you.
01:25:58.680 Man, that should make you excited.
01:26:01.020 It is sooner now than it was.
01:26:03.360 You know, all of the things that it talks about in the book of Daniel,
01:26:06.080 the book of Revelation that we didn't understand,
01:26:07.600 even in the 80s when I started in ministry.
01:26:10.060 Well, how can that be?
01:26:10.880 Like, I don't understand.
01:26:11.780 But with the technology now and the language going on and the things going on in the world, man, he can come back any second.
01:26:18.360 There's not one thing that needs to happen before the Lord comes back.
01:26:21.940 And so I want to make sure that you're ready.
01:26:23.760 So the next slide, Terenzio.
01:26:26.480 Here's what I want to do.
01:26:29.580 John 115, 113 says this.
01:26:32.280 I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
01:26:39.140 Before we go tonight, I want you to know that you may have eternal life.
01:26:43.600 The Bible speaks of the heavenly city, the eternal city that will come down from heaven at the end of a thousand years.
01:26:52.100 We can't even picture it because it's just going to be so great.
01:26:55.460 Fifteen hundred miles long, wide and high.
01:26:57.800 I live in Cape Breton.
01:26:58.980 So that's like from Sydney here to Toronto.
01:27:03.040 That's pretty long and that's pretty high and that's pretty wide.
01:27:07.740 But I live to hear those words from Jesus.
01:27:10.920 Well done, good and faithful sir.
01:27:12.300 I don't live to stock up cans of beans under my bed.
01:27:15.200 I really don't.
01:27:16.980 But I want my work to be eternal.
01:27:21.840 And so I want you to be prepared tonight.
01:27:24.880 And so just before I go, we're going to have one more slide.
01:27:28.280 So the next one.
01:27:30.960 There's a prayer that you can pray.
01:27:32.740 And there's no magic in this prayer.
01:27:34.900 it I'm gonna I'm just gonna lead it with you and if you sense a sense tonight like you're not ready
01:27:41.840 you're not ready for right now and so sometime tonight tomorrow you're gonna go over the slides
01:27:47.600 again and you can say okay I'm gonna start stocking up a few things just in case and just in case
01:27:52.580 things hit the fan I'm gonna be super ready I'm gonna prepare prepare but I realize that I may
01:27:57.680 not live till tomorrow I could be like Dan and get a diagnosis that hey you got something terminal
01:28:03.920 and we may or may not be able to help you.
01:28:06.860 Or my grandfather died.
01:28:09.360 He got hit by a bus.
01:28:13.160 His father ran into, no, sorry.
01:28:17.060 His father was helping a friend move.
01:28:20.740 A horse and buggy days
01:28:22.080 and they carried a mirror in front of the horse
01:28:24.800 and the horse stampeded
01:28:27.280 and killed my great-grandfather.
01:28:31.400 My great-great-grandfather, the house caught fire.
01:28:33.920 and he ran out with two kids,
01:28:35.640 went in to get two more and never came out.
01:28:38.740 That's the tragedy in my family.
01:28:40.820 My father died when he was 24 of cancer.
01:28:44.480 Friends, that could be you.
01:28:46.740 You could go to bed tonight and not wake up.
01:28:49.300 No word of a lie.
01:28:50.320 I can't tell you how many ambulance calls I did.
01:28:53.080 Shift change, first thing in the morning,
01:28:54.600 the tones would go off.
01:28:56.820 Cardiac arrest, and then we'd get downgraded.
01:28:58.760 Obvious death.
01:28:59.820 They died in the night.
01:29:00.800 It happens.
01:29:01.940 And I'm not saying that to scare you.
01:29:03.740 It's the honest truth.
01:29:06.400 And so tonight, if you feel a tug in your heart and you say, I want to be ready for
01:29:10.160 eternity, what you're saying, Dan, is really speaking to my heart.
01:29:14.600 Here's how you can pray.
01:29:16.620 Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus.
01:29:19.300 And I acknowledge to you that I am a sinner and I am sorry for my sins and the life that
01:29:25.220 I've lived.
01:29:25.720 And I need your forgiveness.
01:29:27.980 I believe that your only begotten son, Jesus Christ, shed his precious blood on the cross
01:29:32.120 at Calvary and died for my sins. And I'm now willing to turn from my sins. You said in your
01:29:37.580 holy word in Romans 10, 9, that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God
01:29:42.580 raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now, I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul.
01:29:49.380 With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. And this very moment,
01:29:53.440 I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal savior. And according to his word, right now I am saved.
01:29:59.260 Thank you, Jesus, for your unlimited grace, which saved me from my sins.
01:30:03.100 I thank you, Jesus, that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance.
01:30:09.300 Therefore, Lord Jesus, transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.
01:30:15.600 Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me and giving me eternal life. Amen.
01:30:21.260 If you said that tonight, if you prayed that tonight and you meant it with all your heart,
01:30:26.620 you are born again but that involves a repentance that's a turning around a turning away from your
01:30:34.400 sin there was one other little clip there on uh on that last slide and that's okay trends you
01:30:41.620 don't need to bring it up again i'll just mention it okay there's a little booklet there and i have
01:30:46.860 a case of these it's a little gospel so it's matthew mark luke and john all put together the
01:30:52.280 teachings of Jesus in different little chapters. It's like a leather bound little book. If you just
01:30:58.740 go to plusnothing.org, you can just put in your name and your address. They will send you one of
01:31:04.320 these in the mail free of charge. Very easy read. And a similar prayer to what I just prayed is in
01:31:11.220 the back of these. I give these out to all the medical staff I've been meeting, the doctors,
01:31:15.920 nurses, dieticians, the diabetic clinic that I'll be at tomorrow, all kinds of people that I've
01:31:25.720 been meeting and just sharing my life story and people with the Lord. Because folks, we don't
01:31:31.700 know how much time we have. I want you to be prepared, not just living joyfully full of peace
01:31:37.700 in this life with the Lord, but for all of eternity. And if I never meet you in this life,
01:31:43.240 I pray that I will meet you in the next life.
01:31:46.080 Amen.
01:31:47.340 And so I want to thank you for joining with me and Tanya tonight on this Empower Hour.
01:31:53.720 And I just want to mention to you that next week for our guest, we will have David Lindsay.
01:31:59.000 This will be part four in our special presentations on Bill C9, the Coronation Oak.
01:32:06.040 And David will be highlighting the fact that, you know, this has been an attack on scripture.
01:32:11.780 This has been an attack on the church.
01:32:13.140 This has been an attack on God's word.
01:32:15.160 And so David is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to his knowledge with the Coronation Oath.
01:32:22.900 David actually accompanied Tanya in Ottawa and made a presentation to one of the MPs there.
01:32:27.540 So he's going to bring us up to speed on what all transpired there,
01:32:32.180 but also how we can understand more fully what the Coronation Oath means to all Canadians and how we can use it.
01:32:37.940 So thank you so much for joining with us tonight.
01:32:40.360 and I pray that God will bless you richly
01:32:43.860 and if you receive the Lord tonight,
01:32:45.920 God bless your walk with him
01:32:47.600 and God bless Canada.

01:35:48.660 Look at this crowd.
01:35:53.280 I'm going to thank God and God alone
01:35:57.280 for the ground that I'm standing on.
01:36:00.940 I'm going to thank our founding fathers for giving their lives and sacrificing so much
01:36:11.720 for our freedom.
01:36:13.720 And I'm calling on you today, don't put them to shame, don't waste what they did, we have
01:36:24.500 guaranteed rights in this country.
01:36:26.500 country. We are putting chapters across the nation. We are going to be in every town and
01:36:39.740 every city, and we are going to build communities within these communities of life-minded people
01:36:45.780 who are actually going to care for one another again and love on each other and give each
01:36:50.680 other the help when they're down. We are going to use the teams and the people that build within
01:36:57.260 chapters to support our businesses. The government's actions are completely 100% unlawful. Judgment
01:37:07.760 will again be found on justice and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it. You have a
01:37:16.500 virtuous heart if you are here today pursuing freedom and righteousness and then verse 23
01:37:24.720 comes along with a promise God says he will turn the sins of evil people back on them
01:37:32.620 he will destroy them for their sins I take great comfort in that because I serve a mighty living
01:37:43.980 God who has allowed us to go through this season of discomfort because we as a nation
01:37:51.900 have turned our backs on Him and we need to get right.
01:37:57.260 So I am just going to thank you so much.
01:38:00.940 I'm going to say God bless you and God bless Canada.
01:38:13.980 Thank you.
01:38:43.980 Thank you.
01:39:13.980 Thank you.
01:39:43.980 You
