Action4Canada - From Transition, to Truth, to Purpose

Join us as we discuss the importance of proclaiming the truth from the Word of God and how it can change the hearts of others. In this episode, we have special guest, Lauren Southern, who shares her story of how she was sexually abused at the hands of her own pastor and how God used it to save her life.

00:00:00.000 the scripture comes in like you might feel like ever something's impossible on your own but nothing

00:00:07.420 is impossible with the lord your god and i just put that onto his shoulders and

00:00:14.500 you know you just head out and you believe there's a way and then there is and that

00:00:22.480 then I end up meeting Lauren Southern of all people and you know she gave me the opportunity 0.68

00:00:31.760 to share my story my testimony and feel like this suffering of mine was put to a purpose and

00:00:42.920 that it wasn't just for nothing and I think that that in itself is where I feel like I can live

00:00:52.580 I can live with what's happened because it maybe it prevented and it prevents more people from

00:01:02.240 doing what I did and knowing that I'm coming out of a place of love and understanding and nothing

00:01:08.440 more nothing nothing else the best advice you can get is the advice that is the hardest for you to

00:01:16.260 hear and if i had not heard that from my pastor if if uh god forbid he said it to somebody else who

00:01:26.440 took it hard and was like oh that's hateful and then caught him a prison sentence or something

00:01:33.340 and i never heard that i i can tell you i would not be here today i would i would have not had

00:01:38.840 the strength and i mean i i don't have the strength but god is my strength that is

00:01:46.380 and i i think to to prevent people from sharing scriptures that might be deemed

00:01:59.400 as hateful like you can take it one way or the other but there are some people that like me

00:02:07.820 that take that scripture and it saves their lives and there's speaking on that subject um

00:02:19.120 it's not really to do with my own story but there's this missionary to abortion clinics

00:02:26.800 uh in chicago his name's juan elias risco if i'm saying that right but um

00:02:32.800 from the scripture that he has shared and following god's path set before him he has

00:02:42.780 saved 82 babies and that is that 82 mothers who knew deep down that they didn't want to make that

00:02:52.580 choice maybe they felt they had no other option but that's you know that's satan convincing them

00:02:58.600 and he he swatted that thought aside and he offered them help he didn't come there on a high

00:03:06.140 horse he didn't come there to condemn them he came there with love and if if that was in

00:03:15.880 canada right now and in canada for a while anyway uh and he had even begun to talk to a woman that

00:03:26.720 didn't think you know oh i i don't like to hear this i can just walk away on my two legs like

00:03:33.760 should be the normal thing we do when we hear something we don't like i'm going to

00:03:39.360 take this situation and tell him no you're not allowed to share this message and

00:03:47.540 doom 82 lives and 82 mothers just because you know she doesn't want to hear something and

00:03:55.980 like that's to get rid of that religious exemption and not allow us to preach and

00:04:07.920 we're not doing it in a place of hate when we go to these places like honestly the last thing a lot

00:04:14.940 of us want to do is put ourselves in these places in these situations where these people are bound

00:04:22.380 to lash out on us um like we don't it it's it's hard to want to do that and like if you if you

00:04:36.480 think that oh i'm sorry i'm just yeah you know sarah you and i were communicating about this

00:04:47.280 gentleman that you had mentioned in and i just look at that as well and my heart was filled

00:04:52.540 uh you know about we hear about many pro-lifers who are standing outside abortion clinics and

00:04:58.960 even just praying because we believe in the power of the holy spirit and of god to move

00:05:05.560 in the hearts and minds of those people. And often when we speak from the Word of God,

00:05:13.780 we're planting a seed in somebody's life that is hurting. And it's up to them and it's between them

00:05:20.520 and God for that seed to grow. And then somebody else comes and speaks the truth. Because that's

00:05:25.420 what it is that we're talking about here, right? Is that we're proclaiming the truth. And for those

00:05:32.220 that are so immersed in their sin, they want to reject it. And they're looking for an avenue out,

00:05:39.300 and so they need everybody else to agree with them. And as a society, we just can't succumb

00:05:44.880 to that. We can't do that. And that's the whole point, is that by you proclaiming the truth and

00:05:51.480 having the courage to do that, those that are in a similar situation to what you were may resent

00:05:57.120 you for that initially, but it could save their life in the end. And isn't that worth speaking

00:06:01.700 the truth over, regardless of the attacks. I've had smear campaigns against me. We've had emails

00:06:08.160 and, you know, all of the nonsense and stuff. But in Ephesians, it talks about our battle is

00:06:14.340 not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against these evil forces

00:06:18.740 in the heavenlies. And some people have opened themselves up as these empty vessels and given

00:06:24.420 room to the enemy to come and reside there. They gave in to sin, whether it's drinking and going

00:06:31.080 out getting drunk, whether it's somebody who's very promiscuous and sleeping around, whether

00:06:36.660 it's lying or stealing, there's all, there's a whole list of sin. It's not just people in the

00:06:43.080 LGBTQ community. I want to make that very clear. They're not the only ones that have a sin nature. 1.00

00:06:49.620 We all have a sin nature, but what do we do with that? We either deny it or we feed it.
