00:00:00.000 the superior tyrant authority always counts on the blithe compliance of the lesser authorities
00:00:06.140 in order to get their evil down in the fabric of society. And it's when they don't have that
00:00:11.960 blithe compliance of the lesser authorities, they know they got a problem on their hands.
00:00:16.740 And understand how important it is for them to take a stand. If they don't take a stand and
00:00:22.420 interpose against their evil, the tyrant superior authority has the convenience of building the
00:00:27.240 next plank of their tyranny. But if they take a stand against the evil, what it does is it forces
00:00:34.400 the tyrant authority out of their lair, and they have to show their fangs and reveal to men the
00:00:41.140 tyrants that they really are. Men more readily see them for the tyrants that they are. So we have to
00:00:47.360 be willing to be bold, be brave, and also be willing to suffer, perhaps, you know, because
00:00:56.480 that's part of the process when evil's in the land.
00:01:03.640 It's my very great pleasure to introduce you to Pastor Matthew Torella this evening. Matthew is
00:01:09.140 the pastor of Mercy Seat Christian Church in Wisconsin, where he has shepherded for 35 years.
00:01:15.320 He is the founder of Missionaries to the Pre-Born, which was instrumental in seeing abortion in
00:01:21.700 Wisconsin drop by over 60% from 1990 to 2022. And he has spent over 15 months in jail for advocating for
00:01:31.480 innocent and precious pre-born children. He's also an author. His book, The Doctrine of the Lesser
00:01:39.120 Magistrates, a Proper Response to Tyranny, and a Repudiation of Unlimited Obedience to Civil
00:01:45.380 Government, has currently sold over 100,000 copies. Pastor Matthew has had countless opportunities to
00:01:52.660 speak to magistrates and legislatures, as well as to conduct news, radio, and podcast interviews.
00:01:59.280 We are so pleased that Pastor Matthew is able to join us this evening, and on behalf of everyone
00:02:04.900 here, I'd like to give him a great big welcome. Pastor Matthew, welcome to the Empower Hour.
00:02:12.240 It's good to be here, Heather. Thank you so much, and welcome from America to all you Canadians.
00:02:19.100 Yeah, thank you. Thank you for that. It's good to have you on the show. You know, as I was researching
00:02:24.660 and creating the page, I realized, man, my updates could go 15, 20 minutes long because there's so
00:02:29.700 much good stuff. We've been having a Walk for Revival prayer from Passover to Pentecost, and I had a
00:02:36.840 good news report this week that the NDP, that's just a tyrannical party here in Canada, they were
00:02:43.920 going to host a drag event on the island in a little town called Cobble Hill, and we had our teams out
00:02:51.620 there, a couple of ladies, just praying for weeks that this would be canceled, and last week it was
00:02:56.820 canceled. God is answering prayer. Only 13 people registered. There's a lack of interest, and so I
00:03:03.040 just want to really encourage people to get involved. So, Pastor, you are just so amazing. Like I say,
00:03:10.540 it was a fellow named Joseph who had provided me your book. He said, you have to read this book.
00:03:16.880 It is so incredible, and I tell you, half of it is underlined, and, you know, there's just so much
00:03:24.020 content in here, and I look forward to how you're going to unpack that tonight to help people
00:03:29.200 understand that when man's law is in violation of God's law, that our magistrate have a duty to
00:03:35.840 honor God's law first and foremost. So, I'm going to hand the floor over to you.
00:03:41.780 Well, thank you, and thanks for the opportunity. Yeah, so if you'd like, I could share my screen
00:03:46.740 at this point and kind of walk through this a little bit with people. Let's see if I have this
00:03:54.840 all figured out. I'm not the best at this kind of thing, just so you know. It looks good, Pastor Matthews.
00:04:04.760 Okay, so there we have it. I'm not going to talk about family tonight because of time and whatnot,
00:04:12.120 but we have a big family. So, we have 11 children, six daughters, five sons, and we just found out two
00:04:19.580 days ago that our 30th grandchild is on the way. So, God has really blessed us, and I want to get to
00:04:27.800 the doctrine here of the lesser magistrate. By the way, my wife wanted to make sure she sends her
00:04:33.680 greetings to everybody, and her name's Clara. So, but anyways, yeah, I wrote this book on the
00:04:40.140 Doctrine and Lesser Magistrate. It's sold over 100,000 copies now. I've told people for years to
00:04:47.440 quit focusing in on the presidential election and who the next Supreme Court justices are,
00:04:55.000 because that's what they want to keep everybody, you know, focused in on, and rather to put their
00:05:00.320 efforts into county, local, and state civil government matters, and nobody would listen. And so what
00:05:09.840 two things happened here, one was the pre-tandemic in 2020, and then the Great Steel after that in the
00:05:17.320 election, and suddenly all kinds of people were flooding into county and local government in order
00:05:24.420 to make a stand for freedom, because they came to the realization not only is their federal government
00:05:30.360 at war with them here in America, but that most of their state authorities love to play the tyrant too.
00:05:36.920 In fact, what we learned through that whole thing was that there was plenty of local tyrants also,
00:05:41.620 and what we really learned was that power really does go to men's heads. So during that time, we had
00:05:49.680 documented over 500 acts of interposition by lesser authorities, and they were almost all county
00:05:58.400 and local authorities. These are sheriffs, county boards, mayors, city, or village councils. They either
00:06:06.920 stood in interposition and defiance of their state authorities or of the federal government itself,
00:06:14.180 and I'm going to share a little bit about that tonight, but I thought I would start out with
00:06:19.080 kind of the history of the doctrine so that people understand the doctrine. That's the book I published.
00:06:27.400 So the doctrine is simply this, that when the higher-ranking civil authority makes unjust or
00:06:32.320 immoral law, policy, or court opinion, it's the God-given right and duty of the lesser authority
00:06:39.400 to interpose, to not obey, and if necessary, to actively resist the superior authority.
00:06:47.160 That's their duty. So understand their duty is in blithe compliance. We saw plenty of that
00:06:52.620 over the last few years. Rather, their duty in the face of evil is what we call interposition. I'm
00:06:58.800 going to talk a little bit more about that in a moment. I often use this quote from Emperor Trajan
00:07:05.040 because it kind of succincts the doctrine. He was giving a sword to one of his subordinates,
00:07:10.260 and he said, use this sword against my enemies if I give righteous commands, but if I give
00:07:15.620 unrighteous commands, use it against me. So that's the doctrine in a nutshell. Superior
00:07:22.220 authorities doing wrong, acting lawlessly, imposing evil. The duty of the lesser authorities is not
00:07:28.100 blithe compliance. Rather, their duty is interposition. Stand in interposition against the evil of the
00:07:33.920 superior authority. Check them in their evil. Remind them that their authority has limits. Extremely
00:07:41.480 important. The doctrine is natural in the sense that it's known to men outside of Jewish or Christian
00:07:50.740 nations. So, but it was formalized as a doctrine by Christian men in 1550 in Magdeburg, Germany.
00:08:01.980 And tremendous story behind that. In chapter seven, I believe in my book, I talk about the Magdeburg
00:08:09.040 confession and the impact it had, but in that confession, that was the first time that the
00:08:15.900 doctrine of the lesser magistrate was formalized in 1550. By the way, we have published the first
00:08:22.480 English translation of the Magdeburg confession. It was written in Latin. All important theological
00:08:28.600 works were back then and translated into the German, sent out throughout the Holy Roman Empire, but
00:08:35.500 it had never been translated into English all these years. So we tracked down a 1550 original from the
00:08:42.360 Bavarian State Library in Munich, Germany. I hired a guy with a PhD in Latin and Greek from Cornell
00:08:49.120 University, Christian brother, impeccable credentials. And I wrote a historical prelude, historical
00:08:56.100 postscript, so you understand the context of what these men were writing. And then we put in numerous
00:09:02.720 footnotes because some of the things they referred to, if you don't know what they're talking about,
00:09:06.640 you don't get the punch of what is being said. So anyway, that's the Magdeburg confession. So we have
00:09:15.660 this work from antiquity and we have the, my current work on the doctrinal lesser magistrate available to
00:09:22.520 people. And they can get it at, um, our website, defy tyrants.com. So here's, um, John Knox and John
00:09:34.000 Knox wrote the foremost treatise on the doctrine of the lesser magistrate in his 1558 appellation to
00:09:41.180 the nobles of Scotland, wherein he cited over 70 passages of scripture to show that this doctrine is
00:09:48.440 sound in the word of God. Um, so, um, I view it as the foremost, um, treatise ever written on the
00:09:58.320 doctrine. The nobles of Scotland were the lesser magistrates of their day. And you can still read
00:10:05.400 this today. It's available numerous places on the internet, as well as at our website, defy tyrants.com.
00:10:12.820 Um, so the doctrine of the lesser magistrate is rooted in the historic Christian doctrine of
00:10:20.920 interposition. Interposition is that calling of God where one stands in the gap, willingly placing
00:10:27.140 himself between the oppressor and his intended victim. You can interpose either verbally or physically
00:10:33.940 or both. Um, I was, as Heather had mentioned, uh, I was involved heavily in, um, interposing at the doors of
00:10:43.620 abortion clinics here in America back in the 1990s, did about 15 months in jail. That's interposition. We would
00:10:50.920 prayerfully, peacefully place our bodies between the abortionist and the pre-born child in order to rescue
00:10:57.760 them from death. Now I have here just three verses listed, but there's many more in my book that I give
00:11:05.140 Ezekiel 22, 27 through 31. God talks about, he was looking for a man to stand in the gap. Why? Because
00:11:14.740 there was evil in the land and he included the princes, the magistrates. He was looking to the
00:11:20.940 magistrates to interpose the lesser authorities to interpose against the evil of the king. But he said,
00:11:27.700 I could not find one. Therefore, I'm bringing my judgment upon the land, he said. So understand the
00:11:34.660 interposition of the lesser magistrates is so massively important that it could actually abate
00:11:40.860 the just judgment of God upon the land. That's how important their interposition is. Now I use a couple
00:11:48.400 of these examples. Remember the Hebrew midwives, Exodus chapter one, told by Pharaoh to kill the male
00:11:54.900 Hebrew children. They didn't obey and said they interposed and let the male Hebrew children live
00:12:01.240 and God bless them for it. That's interposition. First Samuel 14, I have listed there. Remember Saul's
00:12:09.560 dopey edict. Jonathan starts a fight with the Philistines. Saul joins in the battle, makes a dopey
00:12:17.040 decree that no one should eat anything until the battle's over. Jonathan doesn't hear about it,
00:12:21.860 eats a little honey. And so Saul's going to kill his own son. And what does the scripture say?
00:12:29.340 All Israel rose up and said, not one hair shall be touched on the head of him who brought Israel such
00:12:36.020 a great victory today. The people themselves interposed on Jonathan's behalf and he was not
00:12:42.200 killed. So there's times where we as people, like when I was at the abortion clinic at the death camp,
00:12:48.180 we can interpose as common citizens. But when it comes to the magistrates, they possess public
00:12:55.960 authority. And they actually, when it comes to their interposition, employ the lawfulness of their
00:13:02.600 office to stand in interposition between the tyrant superior authority and the people in their
00:13:09.980 jurisdiction. So this is a massively important doctrine, massively important for our day,
00:13:16.120 because there's tyrants in the land. And they are doing all kinds of gross evil. And unfortunately,
00:13:21.960 most churchmen are telling their people, oh yeah, you do whatever they say. And that is not true.
00:13:28.600 I have an appendix in my book on Romans 13, where I go through and show convincingly that Romans 13 does
00:13:36.320 not teach unlimited obedience to the state. That's a totally different lecture. Don't have time for it
00:13:41.200 tonight. But if you don't have the book and you want my appendix on Romans 13, you can go to our
00:13:48.420 website, defytirants.com. The appendix is there. And you can share it with your pastor. You can share
00:13:54.780 it with your Christian friends, your family, because this has been a great stumbling block to many people
00:14:00.880 to think that they have to obey no matter what. And Romans 13 teaches that. It does not. And so you can
00:14:09.880 share that on social media, email it to people, whatever you want to do with it after you get a chance
00:14:15.040 to read it. So I'm from America. So our founders, you know, quoted William Blackstone, who was an
00:14:26.720 English jurist. In fact, he was the most cited legal scholar by America's founders. And he said this, he said
00:14:35.040 upon these two foundations, the law of nature and the law of revelation, talking about God's written
00:14:39.760 law, depend all human laws. That is to say, no human laws should be suffered to contradict these.
00:14:47.000 Now, this is massively important. The law of God is the object of standard to which all men and all
00:14:55.100 governments of men are accountable. That was the thinking of Western man for well over 1500 years,
00:15:02.000 including Canada, that if a law was made contrary to the law of God, it was viewed as no law at all.
00:15:08.800 And it was to be resisted. Didn't mean things were perfect, because anything man's involved in is
00:15:15.080 never perfect. But what it did mean is that you had this object of standard, God's divine law,
00:15:21.300 in order to look at the laws of men. And are they just laws or unjust? Are they good laws or evil laws?
00:15:29.120 Understand? That's how important it was. So for over 1500 years, Western men viewed the law of God as the higher law
00:15:37.640 to which all men and all governments and men were accountable.
00:15:42.120 Our founders understood how important this was to have this. If you read Alfred the Great in the ninth century,
00:15:52.540 or John of Salisbury in the 12th century, or this guy, William Blackstone in the 18th century,
00:15:59.140 they all declared that God's law was the higher law to which all men and all governments men were accountable.
00:16:06.020 Now, because that standard has been thrown under the bus, not only by society has God's law been thrown under
00:16:12.020 the bus, but most churches have thrown his law under the bus.
00:16:15.200 Now the state is free to make up law out of thin air, out of mere whim. And as you can see,
00:16:22.120 it's not going good, because now evil is called good, and good is called evil. And in fact, if you
00:16:29.520 are looking around, you may have noticed, we live in an insane asylum at this point.
00:16:35.860 So it's extremely important to understand the law of God is the object of standard. Now, I have a lot of
00:16:43.080 libertarian friends. They love my book on the doctrine of lesser magistrate, but they hate my
00:16:48.360 chapter on the law of God being the object of standard. And I always tell them, that's the
00:16:54.400 linchpin of the whole doctrine. Remove that, and the entire doctrine collapses on itself. In fact,
00:17:00.900 wicked men could use the doctrine for their own ends. Because if God's law isn't the object of
00:17:07.280 standard, then who or what is? You? Me? The Supreme Court? No. This is massively important
00:17:17.960 that the governments of men, all men, are accountable to the law of God, that his law
00:17:23.980 is the higher law to which all are accountable. William Blackstone went on to say it, talking about
00:17:31.480 the law of God, is binding over all the globe, in all countries, and at all times. No human
00:17:36.900 laws are of any validity if contrary to this, and such of them as are valid, derive all their
00:17:41.420 force and all their authority immediately or immediately from this original. The doctrines
00:17:45.260 thus deliver, we call the revealed or divine law, and they are found only in the holy scriptures.
00:17:51.880 Massively, but this wasn't political theory. This is political reality for Western man for
00:17:57.380 well over 1,500 years. James Wilson was on the original Supreme Court here in America,
00:18:05.080 placed there by George Washington himself. He said of God's law, he said, as promulgated by reason in
00:18:11.220 the moral sense, it's been called natural. As promulgated by the holy scriptures, it's been
00:18:16.020 called revealed law. As addressed to men, it has been denominated the law of nature. As addressed to
00:18:20.800 political societies, it has been denominated the law of nations, but it should always be remembered that
00:18:24.900 this law, whether natural or revealed, made for men or for nations, flows from the same divine source
00:18:32.060 is the law of God. Wilson went on to say, human law must rest its authority ultimately upon the
00:18:39.240 authority of that law which is divine. This is hugely important for people to understand, and again,
00:18:45.300 this was the common thinking of all Western men. They all believed that God's law was the higher law
00:18:51.540 to which all men and all governments and men were accountable. Now, this is a quote from John of
00:18:57.120 Salisbury from his work, Polycraticus, which all of my children, we homeschool, all of my children have
00:19:03.760 to read when they're about 13, 14, 15 years old. You know, some are a little smarter than others, and
00:19:09.840 here's what he said regarding the lesser authorities. He said, loyal shoulders should sustain the power of
00:19:16.780 the ruler so long as it is exercised in subjection to God and follows his ordinances. But if it resists
00:19:23.000 and imposes the divine commandments and wishes to make me share in its war against God, then with
00:19:28.040 unrestrained voice I answer back that God must be preferred before any man on earth. That is the
00:19:35.560 thinking of Western man. Any law made contrary to the law of God was to be resisted and opposed.
00:19:41.680 Also, if the civil authority exceeds the limits of their authority, as revealed both by Scripture,
00:19:53.220 because Scripture limits the authority of the magistrates, and also, you live in Canada,
00:19:59.900 here in America, it's our U.S. Constitution and our state constitution. If it exceeds,
00:20:05.940 if a magistrate exceeds the authority laid out in those constitutions, then they are to be opposed
00:20:13.580 and resisted. Understand how important, or if they go against what God has to say in regards to God,
00:20:20.920 they're to be resistant. Here's a great work by historian Alice Baldwin. Another excellent work.
00:20:26.940 You should read Polycraticus. You should read this too. She said, it was not left to rulers to be
00:20:31.900 oppressive and arbitrary. God, from whom their power ultimately was derived, had limited that power.
00:20:37.200 This is what we call delegated authority. I have a chapter on it in my book about that. That the
00:20:43.200 authority that anyone possesses within the four great governments, the four great governments being
00:20:48.900 family government, church government, civil government, all meant to produce within the individual,
00:20:54.900 the fourth great government, self-government. Each of those governments have their own role, functions,
00:21:03.940 duties, and limits. Okay? So here she says, God, from whom the power ultimately was derived,
00:21:10.800 had limited that power. We live in a state as tell now, so everybody thinks that the state can do
00:21:16.380 whatever it wants. It cannot. The power that the magistrate possesses is limited by the word of God
00:21:22.160 itself. It's also limited by the charters, by the constitutions, by the statutes of your nation,
00:21:28.740 your province, your county, your locality. So I'm going to pass this up because it kind of pertains
00:21:38.960 to America. It's really cool stuff for us Americans, but I'll pass it up here.
00:21:44.680 It's just a little history of how this has been going on. So here's the deal, right? Let me talk,
00:21:52.540 let's bring this up to today. So a year ago in February, I spoke in Michigan. They had me speak
00:22:00.420 in five different counties. They all got on fire. I understand Michigan's a very wicked state,
00:22:05.480 and people are realizing they no longer have the convenience of being indifferent towards the
00:22:11.100 unjust and immoral actions of their government. They must engage. They were on fire. They took
00:22:17.460 over three of the counties. Three of the five counties I spoke in, they completely removed the
00:22:22.700 tyrants and filled the place with God-fearing, neighbor-loving people. And this was one of the
00:22:30.660 counties, Lapeer County. And by the way, we have a Rumble channel called Defy Tyrants. And if you go
00:22:38.900 to rubble.com, put in Defy Tyrants, you can find our channel. And we have many one to five minute
00:22:45.140 videos that are really good and teach a lot of great stuff. And including this matter of what
00:22:52.540 happened over in Michigan. And by the way, I would point you to a three-part series we did on there,
00:22:59.300 dealing with Christian resistance. And I think you'll find very valuable. And again,
00:23:03.660 these are very short videos, one to five minutes long. So here's the three counties that were taken
00:23:09.580 over, Ottawa, Lapeer, and St. Clair. Ottawa County is the one all the way to your left, sitting by itself.
00:23:18.360 Ottawa County, when they came into office this past January, two months ago, three months ago now,
00:23:25.180 the very first thing that they did, they did two distinct things. Number one,
00:23:30.940 they immediately removed their health director, Nazi, and replaced the person with the sane,
00:23:39.540 replaced the position with the sane person. They're also taking action to further limit
00:23:45.760 the authority of health officials within their county. And that's massively important.
00:23:52.640 One of the things I did for months here in Wisconsin was talk with the legislators I knew,
00:23:57.740 why aren't you checking the governor? Why aren't you removing the authority the legislature gave to
00:24:04.380 these health departments since they've abused their authority and have shown they should not possess that
00:24:10.900 kind of authority because they act like tyrants. So that's the first thing they did, removed their
00:24:18.600 Nazi health director, which by the way, they have a lawsuit. They're fighting now over that.
00:24:23.860 The second thing they did was they removed, completely abolished, and eliminated the office of DEI.
00:24:31.960 That's the office of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which is nothing but a pipeline
00:24:38.020 for corrupting racism and sodomy. That's all it's used for. They shut all that influence through
00:24:47.460 county government down so that it can't be used anymore. And they saved the taxpayers over $260,000.
00:24:57.460 Understand, most counties take the money to create these offices because they're in love with the
00:25:05.500 money. And I'm going to talk a little bit about money here in a few minutes, but I'll pass that up
00:25:10.860 right now. So that's Ottawa County. That was what they did when they took power just here three months
00:25:18.100 ago. Now, this is Missouri. That's Newton County, way down there in the red, a little county, I believe
00:25:27.900 they have 8,000 and some people. And when our president, quote unquote, I call him our pretender,
00:25:34.240 because I don't believe he actually won. Joe Biden took office. He was immediately talking
00:25:41.340 about infringing upon our Second Amendment rights. So Newton County gathered their county board together,
00:25:47.660 and they wrote an ordinance in defiance of Biden's lawlessness, in defiance of federal tyranny.
00:25:54.060 And it states three things. Number one, any law or policy which infringes upon the Second Amendment
00:25:59.840 rights of our citizens in Newton County is null, void, and of no authority in Newton County.
00:26:06.620 Secondly, it states that any county official or agent who acts in collusion with any federal or
00:26:13.280 state officials that are trying to infringe upon their citizens' Second Amendment rights shall
00:26:18.260 immediately be removed from office or fired. And number three, it instructs their sheriff to arrest
00:26:24.840 any federal agents or otherwise who come into Newton County to infringe on their Second Amendment,
00:26:32.240 the Second Amendment rights of their citizens. I asked the men, what authority did you possess to pass such
00:26:38.780 an ordinance? And they said, one of the authorities delegated to us is the safety of our citizens here in
00:26:44.920 Newton County. So they wrote that ordinance under the banner of safety for their citizens. And like nobody
00:26:54.760 would have known about little Newton County or what they did. But the media here is very evil, very wicked,
00:27:00.840 and they couldn't help themselves. And they made this into a national news story. And now there's dozens
00:27:08.400 of counties across America that have that same ordinance, what they meant for evil and demonizing
00:27:14.580 and marginalizing the men there in Newton County, the county officials, what they meant for evil,
00:27:21.020 God used for good, and noising it abroad. Now here's the state right below me. This is Illinois. I live in
00:27:30.520 Wisconsin. The red county there is Madison County sits directly across from St. Louis on the Mississippi River.
00:27:39.780 So you may recall, back in 2020, all of these governors were coming up with new mandates, new decrees,
00:27:48.440 like they were emperors, like every week. And in May of 2020, Governor Pritzker, the governor of Illinois,
00:27:56.760 he's still the governor there, still a tyrant. He came up with his latest decree, and it was this,
00:28:03.100 no businessman can open their business anywhere in the state until I say you can open your business.
00:28:10.160 And now if you open your business before I say you can, you will be arrested and charged with a crime.
00:28:16.500 Well, the next day in a state of 102 counties, only one county, Madison County, assembled their board and they
00:28:25.380 put out their own decree. And their decree stated that our businessmen are free to reopen now. And they stated that
00:28:33.120 they would use all their authority and all their power to protect their businessmen. And then they cautioned the
00:28:38.500 governor and the state officials not to interfere with their businessmen.
00:28:43.500 Well, Governor Pritzker responded in a tyrant fashion. And the next day, he held a press conference
00:28:50.660 saying he was going to remove their federal money, their state money, got a whole list of bad things he
00:28:55.400 was going to do to them if they didn't get with the program. And in fact, he did that for three days.
00:29:02.240 But the men in Madison County stood resolute. They did not flinch.
00:29:06.000 And then seven days after Governor Pritzker had made that decree, the Illinois State Police put out a
00:29:13.260 press release stating, we will not arrest any businessman anywhere in the state who opens their
00:29:20.040 business before Governor Pritzker says they can. They had decided to stand with the men in Madison
00:29:26.280 County. And so understand, if it hadn't been for the interposition of this one county, the entire
00:29:33.320 state would have remained under the draconian decree of Governor Pritzker. That's the doctrine of the
00:29:39.500 lesser magistrate in action. And understand also, the man who heads up that county is a Christian brother.
00:29:45.800 And he had read my book two years before that, had taught the doctrine to the men on the county board,
00:29:52.600 and they knew exactly what their duty was in the face of tyranny. And they've committed several acts
00:29:58.520 of interposition against their governor over the last three years and all the evil he's proliferated.
00:30:05.100 Right now, the doctrine has grown so much in the state of Illinois, that two months ago, when the
00:30:14.680 governor and the legislature passed a law called an assault weapons ban, which is a total infringement upon
00:30:21.900 the second amendment rights and understand how important that is to Americans. We hold dear
00:30:27.980 that we are an armed citizenry. And we understand that men fought, bled and died for us to possess these
00:30:35.900 rights. And so we don't treat them glibly, and allow tyrants to trample over the top of them. 90 of the 102
00:30:46.220 counties, 90 of them, the sheriffs have stood in interposition and are defying the governor and the
00:30:53.020 state legislature. It's in the courts right now. And I always tell people, the rub will be, if the
00:30:58.540 courts disagree with the sheriffs, how many of them will stand in defiance? Because we have a huge problem
00:31:05.980 here with judicial supremacy, which I have a whole lecture on. And I understand it's a problem up there,
00:31:12.780 too. And that has to end. The judiciary needs to be defied. Here in America, we established a true
00:31:21.660 federalism. That's what our founders gave us. In a true federalism, all four of the great governments
00:31:28.220 matter, not just civil government. Like in a status tell that we're in now, the state thinks they are God. And
00:31:36.220 everybody has to bow down to them. No. All four of the governments have their own role, function,
00:31:41.580 duties, and limits. If they exceed their limits, they're to be opposed. Very important. When it
00:31:48.300 comes to civil government in a federalism, you have multiple levels of government, multiple branches at
00:31:54.940 each level. Our founders wanted it that way, so that if any one branch or branches began to play the
00:32:01.100 tyrant, another branch or branches would check them, would interpose against the evil that they're doing.
00:32:08.780 They did not want power to reside in one man. They were throwing off a monarchy, nor did they want it to
00:32:14.780 sit in the hands of a small group of men, like an oligarchy and what SCOTUS or the Supreme Court has become
00:32:21.740 in America. No, they didn't want that. They wanted these multiple levels, multiple branches at each level. Why?
00:32:28.940 Because they held to a biblical view of the nature of man. What's the biblical view of the nature of man?
00:32:35.500 That he's wicked and in need of a savior, namely Jesus Christ. So this is why they pillared things
00:32:42.540 here the way they did. And much of this is found throughout Western civilization going all the way
00:32:49.180 back to Alfred the great over in Saxony over in England. Um, this whole matter of counties and, um,
00:32:57.020 the different levels of government. So that's massively important. So we'll see what happens
00:33:01.980 with these guys, by the way. Um, when it comes to, um, Missouri, they just had a county here, um,
00:33:10.060 two weeks ago called Camden County, Camden County, Missouri, their county board stood up and completely
00:33:18.300 defied the ATF alcohol, tobacco, and firearms and said, we're not doing your bidding anymore.
00:33:26.460 If you want to, you know, do something in our county, you come and do it yourself,
00:33:30.060 which they don't have the manpower for. They count on the blithe compliance of the lesser authorities.
00:33:36.540 They said, we're not helping with licensing or any of the other duties that have been helped
00:33:41.820 with in the past. They're all an infringement upon the second amendment rights of our citizens.
00:33:47.580 These are great men. So that just happened two weeks ago. That's also in the courts now.
00:33:53.260 We'll see how that goes. Um, but it's men taking a stand, the lesser authorities realizing they have to
00:34:01.740 take a stand against the evil of the superior authority. There's the big tyrant, uh, governor
00:34:09.100 Pritzker down in Illinois. Now, let me mention about money and then I'll, I'll be done here. And, um,
00:34:17.260 then if there's any questions, but the thing of money is like a huge problem.
00:34:22.460 Like when the whole pre-tandemic was going on here, it went on to about a year ago at this time.
00:34:30.620 And then they started loosening up about a year ago, May, uh, 2022. Um, I never wore a mask during
00:34:39.900 the entire thing. I viewed it as immense evil. I always teach people that tyranny is built plank by
00:34:46.620 plank. And if you allow the tyrant to build one plank and, um, by accommodating the tyrant,
00:34:53.100 then he has the convenience of building the next plank of his tyranny. And so the more you allow
00:34:59.580 him to build his planks, the harder it is to dislodge his tyranny. Once you realize you have
00:35:05.100 to take a stand better. So I told people because they were like, it's just a mask, Matt, just put your
00:35:10.620 mask on. I said, no, it's not just a mask. This whole thing is part of a huge evil agenda.
00:35:16.940 It's a symbol of something much greater and more evil than just a mask. And it'll be something else
00:35:23.580 that they want you to do, you know, like getting the shot. So I was never tested, never wore a mask,
00:35:29.260 never will get the shot. Um, none of my family did. Um, I didn't fly for 27 months cause I knew I'd
00:35:35.740 end up in a federal prison cause there was no way I was going to put up with somebody trying to put a
00:35:40.060 mask on me cause I get on an airplane. Um, I was only thrown out of four stores during that whole time.
00:35:46.460 The last store was called a best buy. Those are an electronic stores here in America.
00:35:51.900 And, um, the last door that they threw me out of, I was there with my 15 year old daughter. We walked
00:35:56.940 in and, um, they had to like mask guards there. And, uh, they said, oh, sir, you have to have a
00:36:03.580 mask on to shop here. Cause me and my 15 year old didn't have one. And I said, well, we don't wear
00:36:09.020 masks. And he goes, oh, well, we have just the thing for you. And he points down to a card table
00:36:15.020 and I looked down at it and it's got all these face shields on there. So I looked at that. And
00:36:21.660 then I looked up at the young men and I said, if you think I'm going to put that on my face and walk
00:36:27.500 around your store, like Jojo, the circus monkey, you're living in a fantasy land. And, uh, the look
00:36:34.220 on their face was priceless. We had a great conversation after that, uh, which ended with
00:36:39.420 me letting them know that Matt Chuella will never shop here again, even when you get rid of your
00:36:43.500 dopey mask mandate. Um, so you have to take a stand when evil raises its ugly head, both at a personal
00:36:51.260 level, individually might be with your boss, might be at a business like that. Um, and you also have to
00:37:00.140 take a stand publicly and join with other men, including any lesser authorities that are courageous
00:37:07.900 and want to do right by Christ and interpose against evil. Now, this matter of money,
00:37:14.940 understand the county I live in. There's 72 counties here in Wisconsin. I live in like the most
00:37:21.420 red Republican county in the state. It's called Washington County. They actually had me come in
00:37:26.720 and teach the doctrine two years before the pretendemic. We were the only county during the entire thing
00:37:34.280 to set forth resolutions, making it clear. We're not obeying the governor just six weeks into the
00:37:42.280 pretendemic six weeks after Trump announced the, you know, national emergency, our county put forth
00:37:49.400 a resolution stating we will not follow any of these edicts here in our county. Three months after that,
00:37:55.560 we had all of the county officials re up their oath to the U S constitution and to our state constitution.
00:38:02.120 And then in August of 2020, we did our third resolution, which was to kick the butt of all
00:38:09.160 the Republicans over at our state house who weren't doing their duty. We have major majority
00:38:14.440 by both, um, in the assembly and in the Senate, and they were just going along with our governor,
00:38:21.240 total wickedness. So understand that's the county I live in, but even our county kept taking the money.
00:38:30.040 And that's where I ended up in conflict with some of these guys, because I told them, I said,
00:38:35.000 you can't take the money. The money is used to legitimize the fiction in the minds of men.
00:38:42.680 And their response was, well, if we don't take the money, someone else will. And I said, so let them,
00:38:48.040 we should be a city on a hill. We should be an example to all the other counties. Like we've been
00:38:52.520 trying to be with these resolutions. We shouldn't take the money. Here's what I've learned.
00:38:57.960 They love the money. They're drunk on it. They're like Thorin at the mountain of Erebor
00:39:06.600 in Lord of the Rings, just glazed over. I don't care if they were state officials,
00:39:11.800 county officials, or local officials, they all love the money more than freedom.
00:39:19.080 That needs to change. That shouldn't be tolerated. There's an old saying with the shekels come the
00:39:26.760 shackles. And people ask me, well, who first quoted that? I always say probably some guy who
00:39:34.200 learned the hard way, because no one has attributed historically with that quote. But with the shekels
00:39:39.960 come the shackles. We went to, I heard you mention earlier in your opening thing about school boards.
00:39:45.880 We went to school board after school board, showing them the people who were gathered there,
00:39:50.840 because the parents were livid about their kids continually being masked. And so we would go
00:39:57.720 there to stand with them, but also to point out to the school board officials that they took all the
00:40:05.080 money and it's right within the contract that you take the money. What you agreed to is these list of
00:40:10.920 things which included keeping the kids masked, you know, keeping that fiction alive in the minds of
00:40:17.800 men. This is how important it is that men who aren't moved by money or fame or prestige
00:40:26.120 are removed from public office. And good people who fear God and love neighbor run for office and win
00:40:33.880 and get involved in the political process that way. It's rare people who aren't moved by the money.
00:40:43.960 Now, here's one last thing I want to mention. Four resolutions. This is what we use. You can use it
00:40:49.160 at your local level. I know you guys, I think you guys don't have counties there. But we use these both
00:40:56.200 at the county and local level. Look, you introduce any of these resolutions and you know exactly
00:41:02.920 every person who's sitting on the board. And you know then who you need to unseat.
00:41:09.320 Because if they won't go along with one of these four resolutions or any of these resolutions,
00:41:13.720 any one of these, you know they're they're tyrants. So the four resolutions are one is a constitutional
00:41:20.920 county. In other words, any unconstitutional act by any lawful body or agent of any government,
00:41:33.880 is viewed as null void of no authority in our county. Number two, you can do a second amendment.
00:41:41.800 Here you can. Second amendment, you know, ordinance like Newton County did or do a resolution.
00:41:50.760 You can also do a sanctuary county for the pre born, where you say no one's being killed in our locale.
00:41:57.560 No one's being murdered here. No pre born babies are being murdered here.
00:42:03.000 And fourth, you can do a medical freedom, which I always tell people needs to include
00:42:07.960 no masking, no testing, no shock getting, either by government or by business.
00:42:13.880 Neither. What they're doing at this time, throughout America and other places is what
00:42:21.640 they can't get through the federal or through the civil government, they're able to get through the
00:42:27.000 corporations. And just to give you an example that Biden here in August of 21 was saying that every
00:42:35.640 business with over 100 employees will have to be mandated, will be mandated to get every employee
00:42:42.360 the shot or they're fired. OK, well, he knew he was going to lose that in the courts and he did.
00:42:50.360 But understand what he did the day after he made that decree before all the fight in the court took place.
00:42:56.760 The first thing he did the next day after that was he spent 10 days meeting with the biggest
00:43:02.040 corporate leaders in America to get them to do what he knew the government wouldn't do.
00:43:07.240 And almost all of them did. And many people lost their jobs. Sad to say, the vast majority
00:43:13.960 went along with it, which I just can't understand. But thousands of people lost their jobs because
00:43:24.760 they refused to get that shot. And they're thankful they refused to get the shot now,
00:43:29.240 especially with everything that's been coming out about the adverse effects about it.
00:43:33.880 So anyway, one of those four resolutions, then you know exactly how they're going to respond.
00:43:38.440 So that's kind of my presentation, Tanya. Thank you. That's the great first to always remember,
00:43:46.600 right? Yeah, absolutely. Anyhow. All right. Well, again, thank you for that, Pastor Matthew. And,
00:43:54.520 you know, you've taken us through a lot of different steps. It's very exciting to see how
00:43:59.400 it's been applied in the United States and the success. When I was researching and creating the page,
00:44:05.880 I had made note of what happened in Madison County. And as I was reading it in your book,
00:44:10.680 I was so excited about it to think that, you know, somebody had read your book to two years prior to
00:44:16.440 COVID. And what a gift that was to the people in that community. And then by his obedience and those
00:44:23.240 other county leaders who he had educated, it then spread throughout the county when there was the
00:44:29.960 suggestion that they were going to mandate restrictions regarding guns. And I know that
00:44:37.640 Rocco Galati is a top lawyer here in Canada. And people think that the United States is so lucky
00:44:43.640 because they have that, you know, Second Amendment rights. But Canada does as well. We actually have
00:44:48.200 a right to bear arms. And I need to get Rocco. He's so busy. I need to get him on the show. He's committed
00:44:54.200 to do that to help gun owners and Canadians understand what their rights are as well,
00:44:59.080 because the Canadian government is working very hard to disarm Canadians, of course, because Justin
00:45:05.400 Trudeau is a tyrant and, you know, he wants a good socialist communist country. And so it's very
00:45:12.760 encouraging to hear when people are courageous enough to absolutely say no and apply it. It works.
00:45:18.360 That's simply. Yes. Just to say no. Yes. And, and I think Alberta, if I, you can correct me,
00:45:25.240 hasn't Alberta taken a stand against Trudeau on his gun grabbing efforts?
00:45:30.880 Yes. Yeah. Um, they, they have, um, we'll, we'll see where that goes. There's a little bit of concern
00:45:37.160 over the gal that's, uh, and they have an election May 29th and Daniel Smith, um, people are a little bit
00:45:45.460 concerned about her. They don't know if she's actually on our side or not, but she's definitely
00:45:50.020 possibly to get elected. We'll see how sincere it is, is making efforts to defy certain orders that,
00:45:56.820 uh, Trudeau is putting through and, uh, several other leaders as well, I believe in Manitoba and
00:46:02.720 Saskatchewan. But what we have to reflect on is, um, over Manitoba and Saskatchewan, they have been
00:46:08.660 very committed to all things COVID, uh, much like the tyrant that you're talking about, uh, you know,
00:46:15.160 who's the, uh, um, governor of, you said Illinois, right? Of Illinois? Illinois. Yes. Yeah. So, you know,
00:46:23.720 we've got some real problems at all, all levels of government here, but the key truly is, and the
00:46:29.640 reason at the beginning you may have seen, I showed the map of action for Canada and why I'm so excited
00:46:35.240 about it is because, uh, they were very good at infiltrating our government at all levels and the
00:46:40.800 world, uh, economic forum in the UN has said that the way that they're going to implement, uh, agenda
00:46:47.060 2030 and 2050 is at the, ours is called municipal level at the municipal level and that's our cities
00:46:54.800 and townships, right? So they've taken over, uh, you know, they've got these, um, uh, tyrannical
00:47:01.140 leaders within there, but as elections are coming up, when we, um, have implemented, uh, a chapter
00:47:07.820 within a community, we're growing up our base and our membership in order to, and we're working with
00:47:13.180 churches in order to raise up good leaders that our communities can then vote for. And, uh, we hope
00:47:20.320 for more success, uh, like what you're achieving there. Um, in the last election, several provinces had
00:47:26.700 election and elections on the school board and municipal level. And actually three of our chapter
00:47:32.340 leaders got, uh, elected as school board trustees. It's awesome. No, it's encouraging to hear.
00:47:40.680 Yeah. So, you know, there's so much coming and so much to report. Uh, you wouldn't possibly know
00:47:47.380 about all our, um, action campaigns with the notices of liability as well through COVID, which advised these,
00:47:53.860 um, corporations who were digging their heels in and say, no, you can't, you don't have a job unless
00:47:59.100 you get a jab. And so we were able, many people serve their employer, the notice of liability,
00:48:05.400 and they sent it to their lawyers and, you know, it was correct. They don't have the medical authority
00:48:11.100 and it's a violation of people's privacy. Uh, the area that we haven't had as much success on is at
00:48:16.860 the federal levels and many, many thousands of people were willing to lose their jobs to take the
00:48:22.180 stand to not get this, uh, deadly job. So it's happening. Praise God. Yeah. Yeah. That's
00:48:29.240 encouraging. Yeah. And I hope, hope your listeners understand how important the interposition of the
00:48:35.280 lesser authorities are, and you've already seen some victories there. I'll be in prayer that you see
00:48:41.020 many more. The superior tyrant authority always counts on the blithe compliance of the lesser authorities
00:48:48.640 in order to get their evil down in the fabric of society. And it's when they don't have that
00:48:54.460 blithe compliance of the lesser authorities, they know they got a problem on their hands and
00:48:59.440 understand how important it is for them to take a stand. If they don't take a stand and interpose
00:49:05.360 against their evil, the tyrant superior authority has the convenience of building the next plank of
00:49:10.460 their tyranny. Um, but if they take a stand against the evil, what it does is it forces the tyrant
00:49:17.600 authority out of their lair and they have to show their fangs and reveal to men, the tyrants that
00:49:24.320 they really are men more readily see them for the tyrants that they are. So we have to be willing to
00:49:30.560 be, um, bold, be brave, and also be willing to suffer perhaps. Um, you know, uh, because that's part of the
00:49:40.240 process when evil's in the land. Um, so I pray it gives you all strength there.
00:49:47.160 Yeah, absolutely. At the beginning of this, I knew instantly in 2020 that this was just a scheme
00:49:52.680 because I've been at this for eight years and trying to ring the bell and warn people. And, uh,
00:49:57.760 COVID has been a gift in many ways because all of this tyranny was all, our biggest problems were
00:50:02.120 pre COVID where they were changing legislation. They were, uh, weakening our borders and our laws.
00:50:09.160 And, uh, so they just sort of catapulted communism into Canada because all of a sudden they could
00:50:14.780 claim that we had this, uh, false pandemic. And then wouldn't you know that, uh, shut your businesses
00:50:20.840 down. Many people and youth ended up reliant on the government. And that's just a great way to start
00:50:26.620 a socialist state. So at the very beginning, March, 2020, I wrote a report called government
00:50:31.880 corruption, including with a foreign syndicate. And in April I launched it. And, uh, so that people
00:50:38.360 could understand who Trudeau was aligning with, who the WHO was in the WEF, the use of hydroxychloroquine
00:50:45.120 and the corruption behind it and what was to come. And sometimes I go back and I read that report and
00:50:49.900 I'm like, Holy smokes, Lord, it was like dead right on. But when I launched it and this is,
00:50:55.100 this is where you have to have a backbone and courage is that when I launched it, I had a list
00:51:00.500 of about 55,000 people on my email list at the time. And a number of them said, I hope you get
00:51:06.900 COVID and die. I hope you get your family get COVID. How dare, you know, we're in a national emergency
00:51:12.640 here. And inside I thought in time, unfortunately it may take a year. It may take longer. They're going
00:51:19.020 to see that I'm right. So we just need to hold the course. Um, and I compare it to that lighthouse
00:51:24.440 on shore is a beacon, a hope to those who are in trouble at sea and that we just have to continue
00:51:30.480 to proclaim the truth. No matter what that cost is in the immediate moment, it will benefit
00:51:37.140 so many more in the long run.
00:51:40.720 I'm with you a thousand percent. Um, when Trump announced national emergency here, of course,
00:51:46.980 it took everybody stunned everyone. And, um, so I spent that week, I'm a churchman, I'm a pastor.
00:51:54.440 And I spent that week reading about epidemiology, virology, things I have no interest in. This is
00:52:01.500 before, um, big tech had censored a lot of men who devoted their whole lives to these matters
00:52:07.940 and we're debunking the whole narrative right at the beginning. And so I preached my first sermon
00:52:14.400 just nine days after the emergency declared, was declared, um, debunking, um, what they were saying
00:52:21.720 about COVID-19 and about the narrative that they were painting. I experienced the same thing you're
00:52:27.120 talking about. I had other churchmen publicly demand that I repent, um, for my actions that I hate
00:52:35.240 elderly people. Some of the things that were said on social media, on my posts, I actually deleted
00:52:42.380 because I thought, wow, you talk about over the top and I know they're going to regret this.
00:52:49.520 Like you just said, as the truth comes out a year from now, two years from now. So I'm actually doing
00:52:56.200 them a favor, removing that, you know, most of the stuff I left there, but some was just so crazy.
00:53:01.200 You're just like, wow, that's insane. So, um, I agree with you massively important to take a stand.
00:53:09.020 I told my fellow churchmen, I said, this is a great opportunity for us to show fealty to Christ.
00:53:15.540 Um, cause they were all telling everybody, you know, the way we show love to people is by putting
00:53:21.060 on our masks, getting our tests, getting those shots. And I said, no, that isn't how we show love
00:53:27.020 to people. Christians don't show love to people by spreading lies. It's a violation of the ninth
00:53:33.400 commandment and you shall not bear false witness. Exodus 22 verse three, God in his law says,
00:53:38.960 do not join with those in spreading a lie. Paul in the very love chapter, first Corinthians 13 says
00:53:45.820 that love does not rejoice in iniquity, but it rejoices in the truth. So we're not showing love
00:53:52.140 to people when we're acknowledging or giving legitimacy to a lie. We show love to people by
00:53:59.020 telling them the truth. And so it was extremely important to show from the word of God that what
00:54:05.540 the churchman was saying was wrong. I told the churchman, I said, we have very little to lose
00:54:11.400 as churchmen and as churches, these businessmen, they have so many regulations, bureaucracy and laws,
00:54:18.920 they got them by the throat. I said, we can be a benefit to these men by declaring the truth,
00:54:25.460 by taking the brunt of whatever the state wants to dish out. And it's going to cause people to want
00:54:32.900 to have an interest in the things of Christ and Christianity because they see men say, stating
00:54:39.680 what instead over 95% of the churches here close their doors. And I could tell you a hundred sad
00:54:47.220 stories about that. Our church remained open. We went from about 140 people up to 330 people.
00:54:54.500 And because people just wanted to be able to gather and worship together without all that insanity and
00:55:01.160 get this here in America, not only did the churchmen play the traitor and shut their doors for months and
00:55:08.700 months and months, but then they played the whore and they took money from the federal government
00:55:15.500 and over $12 billion. So they were actually rewarded by the tyrant for teaching Christian people to mask up,
00:55:22.800 get tested, get those shots. There were all kinds of churchmen on Facebook and social media bragging
00:55:32.040 about the shot they got and telling people they should get it. And then the vast majority of churchmen
00:55:37.280 wouldn't say anything one way or the other, showing no leadership at all to the people in their
00:55:43.400 congregation. I did a sermon on masking over a hundred thousand views. I did a sermon called
00:55:49.260 The Shot and the Tyranny of Man. It was taken off by YouTube. You know how those guys are. But we found
00:55:55.120 it on over a hundred thousand views on other platforms. Right. So because we live stream our
00:56:00.500 sermons. Yeah. People are hungry for the truth. Even through all of this, we had the same experience
00:56:06.680 in Canada. We had these brave and courageous pastors that, you know, had remained open.
00:56:13.180 They weren't hiding under their desk. And I really always, I always say that, you know,
00:56:18.120 there's a term in the Bible called separating the wheat from the chaff and that just chaff just blew
00:56:23.520 away in the wind. And, you know, the, the churches that remained open, their membership has grown
00:56:29.620 astronomically. They are being blessed within the church financially. They refuse to take the bribe from
00:56:35.800 the government to close their doors. And, uh, this is courage under fire. And, uh, we just, you know,
00:56:42.180 really want to encourage everyone, you know, to hear this message because, you know, the next wave is
00:56:49.160 coming. They're not done with us yet with the talk of the 15 minute cities and, uh, restricting people
00:56:56.280 from, from attending churches. Uh, you know, it's, it's, it's, there is no limit to evil. Um, and yet,
00:57:04.460 you know, we follow the one and only true God and he has conquered that evil on the cross. And so we
00:57:11.420 have victory in that, but we're not going to be able to, to, uh, you know, benefit from that victory
00:57:18.540 unless we also are committed and walk it out in truth and God is with us. Right. Um, I want to,
00:57:26.320 there's a couple, we've, we had said that we weren't going to, um, do Q and a with the raise of the
00:57:31.220 hands, but I know, I understand there's a pastor who would like to ask a question. So Terenzio,
00:57:37.060 can you bring Pastor Bruce on? Is that possible? Are you with me? Yes. Just bringing him on,
00:57:48.880 Tanya. One moment. I always like when you talk to me, Terenzio. Okay.
00:57:52.520 Yeah. Sounds good. Um, I know you should see a message pop up on your screen.
00:58:04.300 Yeah. So hopefully Pastor Bruce, sometimes we've stopped doing the live Q and a because a lot of
00:58:08.640 people can't unmute. And so there's always this bit of dead air and we just want to make sure that,
00:58:14.580 uh, you know, we're advising people as much as possible. So hopefully Pastor Bruce, you can unmute.
00:58:20.120 And, uh, sometimes it's because you don't have, uh, maybe a Zoom update completed. All right. Is
00:58:27.100 there one more hand up? Uh, I'm sorry, Pastor Bruce, if you want to put your question in the chat,
00:58:31.320 we'll take a look at it. We have another one from Wanda. Okay. All right. Wanda,
00:58:38.300 you should see a message pop up on your screen to unmute.
00:58:41.300 Okay. So maybe we, we won't go, go that route. Yeah. That's one of the reasons why we stopped doing,
00:58:53.680 um, live ones, but I do have, uh, others. It, it, one is regarding, I know that you have, uh,
00:59:00.640 count sheriffs in your counties and it's thrilling to hear how the police will, you know, get behind the
00:59:07.120 people. And I've always said the countries that didn't fall into tyranny are where the military
00:59:12.520 and the police stood with the people instead of the tyrants. And in Canada, we have at the federal
00:59:17.680 level, the RCMP, and then there's municipal police in some, uh, in some, uh, municipalities and
00:59:24.100 districts. And somebody said here, they're all led by politicians and municipal politicians also
00:59:30.400 follow the leads of tyrannical leaders. How can we apply the doctrine under these conditions?
00:59:35.800 And it's a really interesting question. And the timing is good because I had a two and a half hour
00:59:42.380 conversation with a local, um, RCMP in a specific municipality that I've been doing other work in
00:59:51.860 regarding a very corrupt board who are blocking the citizens from their guaranteed right to come to a
01:00:01.240 public meeting and discuss what's happening to our children. And, um, anyways, at the end of the
01:00:06.260 conversation, I couldn't believe it went two and a half hours, but I educated them on the comprehensive
01:00:11.200 sexuality education. We talked about these books, uh, they're deemed under the criminal code of Canada,
01:00:17.460 uh, that they are considered not against the criminal code, uh, based on the fact they're saying that
01:00:24.720 these are considered educational and or literature. So they explained to me the limitations that they were
01:00:30.520 under. And in the end, I showed them the, the, uh, doctrine of the lesser magistrate. And I explained
01:00:36.480 to them that they had a duty as a lesser magistrate to uphold God's law, God's law before man's law. And, you
01:00:45.220 know, they looked at me, you know, sort of like the deer in the headlights and having no idea, you know, about
01:00:53.100 this or how would they even go about doing it? So how did it come about that these
01:00:58.900 sheriffs in these counties were willing to defy the, the governor of the day and the dictates?
01:01:07.840 Yeah. Well, there's enough people here who still, um, are Christian and go and talk about these matters
01:01:16.360 and understand also the matter of constitutionality and legality. And so, yeah, they bring these ideas,
01:01:25.980 these thoughts to them. You know, when you're talking about how there's, um, and understand we
01:01:33.160 probably had about 500, little over 500 counties across America interpose. There's 3,162 counties in
01:01:42.900 America. So it was still a small number, but I was encouraging nonetheless to see hundreds
01:01:49.780 actually interpose. And some of their interposition was kind of weak, you know? Um, but I always want
01:01:57.780 someone to say, no, it's wrong, you know, and stand against it. And, um, but you know, it's really
01:02:06.740 the churchman's fault because we've pillared this form of Christianity that says we should have
01:02:13.620 nothing to do with civil government matters. And if we are involved in civil government matters,
01:02:19.220 it's only to obey, regardless of what they say. And because they've pillared that form of
01:02:25.800 Christianity, it's had a huge negative impact upon the magistrates themselves. Christian men have left
01:02:33.220 the realm of civil government because we've done that. Wicked men have filled the void and they've
01:02:38.760 made their worldview law policy and court opinion. And as you can see, it's not good. And so God's
01:02:47.140 word speaks to every area of life, including matters of civil government and the churchmen have a duty to
01:02:54.300 speak of those things here in America. We had what was called election sermons from the time we were
01:03:00.140 colonies in the 1600s, all the way up until the mid to late 1800s. And then they died out.
01:03:08.140 And the importance of those were all of the magistrates came together to hear a preacher
01:03:13.440 talk from the word of God regarding civil government, its role, its function, its duties,
01:03:18.520 its limits, our relationship to the magistrate, the magistrate's duty of the people, all these kinds of
01:03:24.800 things. Now we have a Christian that says, oh, you shouldn't have anything to do with any of that.
01:03:29.560 And so Christian thought has not been brought to the magistrates. One of the things we're doing,
01:03:36.720 Tanya, is we have a national sheriff's association here, which every sheriff in the nation belongs to.
01:03:45.600 And they do a yearly convention. This year, it's going to be in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
01:03:50.540 We have a booth there. I actually got slated to give the talk at the prayer breakfast for the
01:03:58.220 Christian sheriffs who show up. And so you have to instruct men in this doctrine. Some of them
01:04:05.320 innately know it's right for them to stand. As I said, this is natural to man, this doctrine.
01:04:11.200 But we always mail out a copy every time we see a magistrate take a stand, because we want to send
01:04:19.280 them a letter to thank them and encourage them for the stand they've taken and to give them Christian
01:04:25.820 thought so they understand what they did was right biblically, morally. It was right historically.
01:04:32.760 And it's right legally. This is massively important for us to do as Christian people.
01:04:39.720 I think so too. And it helps when you read this, you feel emboldened, you feel encouraged, you feel
01:04:44.800 you know you're on the right track and taking that stand. And so I really do, I encourage people to
01:04:50.460 order the book. Trenzio, could you please bring up Pastor Trewella's webpage? This is the page,
01:04:58.240 Defy the Tyrants. We're going to show you where you can order that. We know it's on Amazon as well,
01:05:03.360 but we want you to order it from Pastor Trewella's page. If you go to store in his, just maybe hover
01:05:10.840 over store in the menu. There you go. And then when you click on the page, you'll see a list of
01:05:17.560 different things that you can order. You'll see the book, click on that and then order their book.
01:05:23.240 Make sure you sign up for Defy the Tyrants to get, you know, further information. On the page that I
01:05:30.580 created, on the weekly action page, which will be in the description of this video as well when we
01:05:35.940 launch it, are all of the links you'll need to connect to Pastor Trewella, including his rumble page
01:05:43.680 that he mentioned as well. And I know, you know, I don't care how long this goes right now, I do,
01:05:50.560 but at the same time, I want to respect your time. But the other thing that I would encourage people
01:05:55.460 to do is to also go to howjesuschangedmylife.com. I was listening to your testimony and it was
01:06:05.080 overwhelming all the things I wanted to share, you know, regarding you and your journey and your walk.
01:06:12.040 But this will be a very good testimony to those who are struggling, to those who hear the show,
01:06:19.340 who are struggling in their own lives. We're talking about Jesus and we're talking about God,
01:06:24.040 how he is the only hope, you know, the way, the truth and the life. And you're a living testimony
01:06:29.860 of that. Could you give us just a little brief overview? And then we're going to make sure Sheila
01:06:35.120 is so wonderful. She's already included it in the chat. But you as an unbeliever, as a youth,
01:06:40.620 and what specifically was the key point to turning your life around to the journey you're on today?
01:06:46.240 Sure. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. I was raised in Detroit, Michigan. Ontario was right across the river.
01:06:53.860 So I, where I grew up, I was a minority. There was gangs everywhere. So I joined a white gang,
01:07:02.160 the white gangs would fight the black gangs. And I used to steal cars and deal dope and burn down
01:07:08.320 places. Yeah. Robbed people, all that stuff. And I was arrested at 17. I'd already done time in
01:07:17.940 juvenile hall. And when I turned 17, they arrested me on an arson charge. But they tried me as an
01:07:25.300 adult, even though I was still a minor, because of the seriousness of the charge. And the courts
01:07:32.660 sentenced me to three years and I had to spend the first year in a drug rehab program. And they put me
01:07:38.140 in Teen Challenge, which if you know anything about Teen Challenge, it's Christian. And when I got there,
01:07:43.700 they shared with me how I needed to turn from my sin and believe in Christ. And I was sick of my life.
01:07:50.400 And I did. The story is amazing. How God worked in my mom's life to first bring Christ and Christianity
01:07:58.000 to our family is an amazing story in itself. I talk about it in my testimony written there at
01:08:04.360 howjesuschangemylife.com. And it's brought up also in a sermon that I did about my mom. It's actually
01:08:14.660 the shortest sermon I ever preached. It was 15 minutes long. And I shared in there about how Christ
01:08:20.620 changed my mom to bring him to all of us within our family. So I have these little cards, and I put
01:08:29.260 them out everywhere. And they're little business-sized cards, and they just have the website on there. And
01:08:36.040 then people can go and check it out. It's been a great opportunity to talk to people about the Lord.
01:08:42.800 I decided to make the site and get the website simply because I've shared my testimony thousands of
01:08:49.680 times. We do a lot of ministry out on the streets and at the universities. And so I had a son that
01:08:57.000 kept telling me, you need to write it out, Dad. So I had to leave a lot out. Others have been a hundred
01:09:01.460 pages. So I got it down to 24 pages. But it holds people's interest. People tell me that all the time.
01:09:09.720 Well, thank you. Thank you for sharing that. And I'm glad that we could include that in this show
01:09:14.620 because there's a lot of hurting people. And so many have come to know the Lord in the last three
01:09:21.340 years. I understand the most Bibles in history have been sold in the last three years because
01:09:26.740 people are looking for hope. And the reason I said earlier that COVID has really been a gift to people
01:09:32.500 is because when you're rich and you're getting fat and you're, you know, I just mean fat in different
01:09:38.320 ways, right? You got a good salary. You're focused on buying that boat or, you know, I don't know, all
01:09:44.500 the monetary things that people can focus on. And what this has done is, you know, the government and
01:09:50.980 the globalists talk about a great reset. And it's like, you bet, you bet there's a great reset. But
01:09:56.240 it's going back to the Judeo-Christian principles that made this country great and that are foundational
01:10:01.800 to our freedoms. And, you know, the foundation of that is Jesus. And so what a great name,
01:10:09.220 you know, that you've titled it, How Jesus Changed My Life to the people that are going to receive that
01:10:14.400 card in the moment that the Holy Spirit's already been working in their life, right? And to receive
01:10:19.600 those answers. So, okay. So we're going to wrap this up. Is there anything that you'd like to say in
01:10:26.060 closing? Me? Yes. Okay. Well, I'd like to just pray for all of you if I could, because that would
01:10:36.200 be wonderful. We had, we had tough stuff going on down here. We know things were worse up there for
01:10:41.960 you guys. And we were praying for you. I was in contact with people up there. I even went for our
01:10:47.580 40th wedding anniversary. This is in 2021, September of 2021. We went on our honeymoon tonight.
01:10:56.060 Niagara Falls on the Canadian side. So it's our 40th wedding anniversary. We couldn't even go over
01:11:02.380 to Canada side. And they had these little tents set up on the American side where you had to pay
01:11:08.560 hundreds of dollars and get the shot if you want to go over there. And we stopped at one of the tents
01:11:14.760 and we walked up and talked to the people working there and said, do you have any idea what they're
01:11:18.500 doing to the people over in Canada? And I started going through the list and talking about churches
01:11:24.160 being shut down and fenced off. And they didn't have a clue about any of that evil that was going
01:11:31.160 on right across the river from where we were standing. So anyway, I love all of you. And I,
01:11:39.960 there were so many shining examples that came out of Canada, even from some churchmen and
01:11:46.080 truckers, you know, and all that kind of thing. So I just want to, if I could, I just like to pray
01:11:52.420 for all of you just briefly and in closing. Father, I just thank you for all these brothers and
01:12:00.940 sisters over there in Canada. I thank you for what a light they have been during this darkness.
01:12:09.240 And Lord, I just ask and pray that you protect them, keep their hearts hungry for you and use
01:12:17.880 them mightily in the days ahead by the power of your Holy Spirit. Lord, I ask and pray that tyrants
01:12:24.380 tremble when they speak. Lord, I just ask and pray that you give them the thoughts, the ideas,
01:12:32.160 the actions that they need to take in order to be a goodness to the culture over there, to the nation.
01:12:42.000 Lord, we do pray for your churchmen. We ask and pray, oh Lord, that you bring repentance
01:12:46.200 and that you would fill pulpits with men who love you and want to do right by you. And God,
01:12:53.460 I just ask that your Holy Spirit would be upon each and every one of them in a mighty way,
01:13:00.220 because Tanya's right, Lord. The tyrants haven't gone home. They're just busy building more of their
01:13:06.820 infrastructure. And Lord, I just ask and pray that we all do right by you in the days ahead.
01:13:16.920 And I ask for this in Jesus' name. Amen. Hallelujah.
01:13:21.000 Amen. Well, thank you for that, Pastor Chuella. You know, our troubles here in Canada are not over by
01:13:27.860 a long shot. We are actually have been deemed, I live in British Columbia, and we've been noted as
01:13:34.540 the worst province in all of Canada. And then Canada, as far as the most corrupt in all of the
01:13:41.640 Western nations, under the rule of Justin Trudeau. And I don't know if you see the news, we've become
01:13:47.180 a threat. Our border is a threat to America as he situates communist, Chinese communists in our
01:13:54.840 country. And multiple MPs have been aligned with foreign interference in the last election.
01:14:02.160 So, so much more to come out. Our health officer here, Bonnie Henry, she's a close comrade of Bill
01:14:09.100 Gates and has doubled down in her murderous scheme against the citizens of this province. We've got
01:14:16.160 something like 10,000 medical workers who are not permitted to work because they will not take the
01:14:20.840 jab. And we're suffering. We don't have the medical care. They're bringing in foreign workers. It's
01:14:26.500 costing us billions and billions of dollars for them to do this. So yeah, we're putting an appeal to the
01:14:33.000 world, you know, to pray for Canada. I'm just going to close in one final example to you. We're doing
01:14:40.460 this prayer walk for revival. And our team in Kelowna, BC, ended up walking seven times around the
01:14:49.200 school board, that there's a lot of problems going on there. And to us, they're sexualizing children.
01:14:54.980 We have, you know, evidence of that through the SOGI program. It says gender identity and sexual
01:15:00.500 orientation. And the definition of sexuality includes gender and orientation. And so they're naming both of
01:15:10.320 it right in the title alone. Anyways, as a result, the superintendent has dug his heels in and is not
01:15:19.520 relenting in any way to help us to do an investigation as to whether SOGI is really benefiting the kids.
01:15:26.020 They've got a drag queen working as an EA who has some troublesome, you know, things going on in his
01:15:33.580 life and affecting children. And we can't get in to have any decent conversations. So we're praying
01:15:38.840 because we believe that the Lord is powerful. And so as an example, we know, you know, the story of the
01:15:45.860 Jericho wall came tumbling down, so that we could go in and take over that city. We want to go in and take over
01:15:52.580 the school board, not in any, you know, violent type of way, but because we need good people in there to make
01:15:59.980 good decisions for our kids. Well, it ends up that a portion of the building within a several days had fallen
01:16:07.540 down. This is not an old building. And after further investigation, it ends up it was outside
01:16:13.460 of the school superintendent's wall. And so we found out about it. He, I understand, got it very rapidly
01:16:21.000 fixed, I think, hoping that we wouldn't, understanding the significance of a Jericho walk. So it ends up that
01:16:28.680 I don't have an official copy of it, but a letter they've hired spending thousands of dollars on lawyers
01:16:33.400 of taxpayers' money to send Action for Canada a letter to say that we're inciting hate and violence
01:16:40.080 against the board, and that we're making defamatory comments, and that we're supporting vandalism.
01:16:47.180 And I'm like, none of this is true. We've not, we, I would never support violence. I've never supported
01:16:52.820 it. But because we had quoted acts, and better to wrap a millstone around your neck, it's not that I put a
01:16:59.120 millstone around your neck. It's a message from the Lord that He takes the harm of children very
01:17:03.620 seriously. Better to wrap a millstone around your neck and cast you into the sea than what the Lord
01:17:09.060 is going to bring into your life, not me, not one of our chapter leaders or anybody in the community.
01:17:14.340 So they're trying to inflate the language and twist things around. And that's the mentality of the people
01:17:20.220 that we're dealing with. And so we know we serve a mighty God, and He goes before us. And yeah,
01:17:26.340 so it's no threats that we're putting out there. We're just saying the Word of God. But
01:17:29.600 you know what? He'll be honoured and glorified through this.
01:17:33.940 Amen.
01:17:35.140 Yeah.
01:17:35.820 Excellent.
01:17:37.160 All right. Well, thank you again, Pastor. We're going to look forward to being in touch and hearing
01:17:42.040 about more wins in the United States and more wins in Canada. So God bless you.
01:17:47.580 God bless you, Tanya. We'll see you.
01:17:49.680 Thank you. You bet. All right. Well, thank you, everybody. I can't wait to get this video
01:17:56.300 out. I'm going to ask everybody to share it far and wide. The message is so powerful. This is
01:18:01.580 incredible, important message. And like I said, it emboldens people. It gives you the
01:18:06.200 courage to take the stand. And, you know, we've got to be engaging. When I met with the RCMP
01:18:11.600 officers yesterday, like I could tell by their reaction and response that the things I was telling
01:18:17.560 them was the first time they'd heard it. They were blown away. They had no idea how big this problem
01:18:21.920 is. It's just not these. I'll continue to call these books pornographic, whether the RCMP
01:18:27.300 deemed them pornographic or not. They are explicit, sexually explicit. Laws are being passed in the
01:18:32.580 United States saying they're sexually explicit. And the mission school board, when I did show them
01:18:37.900 these books at the Zoom meeting on the school board on January 10th, the frontline news and the
01:18:44.240 chair comments from the school board were that these books were sexually explicit.
01:18:48.380 It's like, are we dealing with crazy people? That's what I'm saying. But anyways, we're going
01:18:55.160 to find ways. But one of the key ways, of course, is joining Action for Canada, getting involved in
01:19:01.340 our chapters. And you know what? We're going to turn this around because we're going to win back
01:19:06.340 these government seats. With the chat, you guys are saying, what can we do? Does this apply in
01:19:12.520 Canada? And 100% it does. But we also have the Coronation Oath, which was 100 years before
01:19:18.580 the Charter of Rights was even in place, that clearly states that Canada is governed by Christian
01:19:24.680 principles. But unless our lesser magistrate understand it and understand how to apply it,
01:19:31.200 they will be confused and continue to submit to tyrannical dictates. So we're going to have David
01:19:36.880 Lindsay come back on the show too. I'm already having conversation with him. We'll have him back on and we're
01:19:42.140 going to have a conversation about the Coronation Oath and continue to talk about what we can do
01:19:47.660 to get in and educate these individuals. Do what I did yesterday, all right? Go in and have a
01:19:54.760 conversation with the RCMP. They were really wonderful to speak to. And they said to me,
01:20:00.780 thank you so much. We have people coming in here yelling at us, but they are restricted by the criminal
01:20:06.800 code. I don't agree with the restriction. I'm still going to dig into this and learn more about it.
01:20:11.840 But at least the doors open, we're having conversation and they were willing to listen.
01:20:16.780 They never once ended the conversation. I actually started packing my bags to leave. And that means to
01:20:22.780 me that our conversation had a purpose and it was meaningful. All right, Transio, can we bring up next
01:20:28.700 week? We are going to have, look at this, Action for Canada chapter leaders are going to come and give
01:20:35.080 you some incredible testimonies as to how we are taking back territory. I gave you the good news
01:20:41.940 report about prayer. Prayer is powerful. I've been telling you that. We've got two really good
01:20:46.860 examples, what happened in Kelowna and of course, what we witnessed in that wonderful little town.
01:20:53.140 I want to find the name because I found it so quaint, Cobble Hill. Does it sound like drag queen show
01:20:57.460 should be going on in a little town called Cobble Hill? No, that sounds so nice. I want to move there.
01:21:02.600 All right. So the NDP were trying to, you know, do some platforming for the drag queens and they
01:21:10.120 failed. Thank God. Thank God they failed and thank God for the leaders from Action for Canada that
01:21:15.760 were praying there. So I'm excited. Join us next week on the Empower Hour. Do you know that when we
01:21:21.240 post our Empower Hours and our weekly actions, they're getting tens of thousands of views. So lots of people
01:21:27.160 are gaining the information. So please do your part and share the Action for Canada information.
01:21:31.980 All right, let's go to our scriptures. 1 Corinthians 7 23. You were bought with a price. Do not become
01:21:43.820 slaves of men. Jesus Christ sacrificed himself on that cross for you, for your freedom. And that's where
01:21:50.820 our freedom comes from. So do not give it away and hand it over to tyrannical governments. Okay, we have
01:21:56.900 freedom in Christ. Our next verse. Psalm 1 1 to 3. Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of
01:22:06.280 the ungodly, but his delight is in the law of the Lord. And his law, he meditates day and night. He
01:22:13.980 shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leap
01:22:20.160 also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper. I mean, these verses are so meaningful. We
01:22:27.540 can see what it is, how people have spent time in the company of ungodly leaders. They have voted for
01:22:35.580 them without doing their due diligence, without understanding the importance of the morality,
01:22:42.100 what are the principles of these individuals that we have voted into office, and how important it is
01:22:47.980 to know who you vote for, and where they stand on these critical issues. So that's the end of the
01:22:53.500 show. Thanks for joining us. God bless you, and God bless Canada.
01:22:57.660 That's what I've got to say. Look at this crowd. I'm going to thank God and God alone for the ground
01:23:18.440 that I'm standing on. I'm going to thank our founding fathers for giving their lives and sacrificing so much
01:23:31.460 for our freedom. And I'm calling on you today. Don't put them to shame. Don't raise what they did.
01:23:42.860 We have guaranteed rights in this country. We are putting chapters across the nation. We are going to
01:23:57.840 be in every town and every city, and we are going to build communities within these communities of
01:24:04.380 like-minded people who are actually going to care for one another again and love on each other and
01:24:09.720 give each other the help when they're down. We are going to use the teams and the people that build
01:24:16.680 within chapters to support our businesses. The government's actions are completely 100% unlawful.
01:24:27.120 Judgment will again be found on justice, and those with virtuous hearts will pursue it.
01:24:34.240 You have a virtuous heart if you are here today pursuing freedom and righteousness.
01:24:42.420 And then verse 23 comes along with a promise. God says he will turn the sins of evil people back on them.
01:24:52.840 He will destroy them for their sins.
01:24:56.900 I take great comfort in that because I serve a mighty living God who has allowed us to go through this season of discomfort
01:25:09.860 because we as a nation have turned our backs on him, and we need to get right.
01:25:16.840 So I am just going to thank you so much. I'm going to say God bless you, and God bless Canada.
01:25:24.560 God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.
01:25:54.560 God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.
01:26:24.560 God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.
01:26:54.560 God bless you, and God bless you.
01:27:04.200 God bless you, and God bless you, and God bless you.
01:27:06.560 Bye-bye.
01:27:06.880 You
