00:00:00.000 Hello, friends. I'd like to spend just a few moments talking to you about Action for Canada's annual Prayer Walk for Revival.
00:00:10.200 We get two common questions that I'd like to answer. The first one is, what is a Prayer Walk for Revival?
00:00:16.540 And the second one is, how can I get involved? Well, to answer the first question, what is a Prayer Walk for Revival?
00:00:22.600 In the book of Joshua, chapter 6, we read about Israel's conquest of Canaan. The first city that they came to was that great fortified city of Jericho.
00:00:33.300 And God gave the instructions to his people that for the first six days, they were to walk around that city once a day.
00:00:41.100 And on the seventh day, they were to walk around that city seven times, then blow the shofar and shout a great shout of victory, for God had given them the victory. 0.91
00:00:50.520 As it turns out, those great fortified walls surrounding the city fell down. The Israelites were able to go in and conquer the city. 0.84
00:00:59.420 And so, in essence, a Prayer Walk for Revival is like a Jericho walk. It is walking prayerfully and with purpose.
00:01:08.360 Now, how can you get involved? Well, there's a number of ways that you can get involved.
00:01:12.660 If you don't already belong to an Action for Canada chapter, you can go on our website at actionforcanada.com slash chapters and you can find the closest chapter near you.
00:01:24.660 Now, if there isn't a chapter near you, you can always start a Prayer Walk on your own as believers.
00:01:31.280 Or, we are hoping that churches will take the initiative on themselves.
00:01:37.820 We are even encouraging pastors to call maybe other pastor friends and say,
00:01:42.960 Hey, we are going to be doing this Prayer Walk for seven weeks in our town. Let's join up together.
00:01:49.820 And so, pastors, we are encouraging you to plan this seven-week Prayer Walk for Revival,
00:01:55.920 usually lasting from Passover to Pentecost, and those dates change a little bit every year.
00:02:02.640 But, we are encouraging you to gather in some strategic locations in your town and in your city and in your villages.
00:02:11.560 And here's how we propose for you to do that.
00:02:14.420 Gather your people to pray around municipal buildings, government buildings, places of authority.
00:02:21.600 Gather at the flagpoles of those places because those are places of authority.
00:02:25.320 Pray for those flagpoles. 1.00
00:02:27.740 Pray for your mayors.
00:02:30.680 Pray for your MPs.
00:02:31.860 Pray for your MLAs.
00:02:33.980 Pray that God will save their souls.
00:02:36.460 And if those are really wicked people, pray that God will remove them and replace them with godly people.
00:02:43.520 Pray around schools, public schools.
00:02:46.960 Pray for elementary schools and high schools and walk around those properties.
00:02:51.060 Pray for school administrators.
00:02:52.380 Pray for the principals and the teachers that feel they have a duty to teach the CSC curriculum,
00:02:58.420 the comprehensive sexual education to our children.
00:03:02.520 Pray that their eyes would be open to the vileness of that curriculum.
00:03:07.560 And pray for the protection of our children.
00:03:11.340 Pray around public libraries where there's so many vile books available to our children.
00:03:17.020 If there are pride roots in your town and your city, walk up and down those pride roots.
00:03:22.440 And pray against the vileness that defiles those streets each and every summer.
00:03:27.400 If there's media outlets in your city, pray around those places and pray that some of those media people will be bold enough to start telling the truth.
00:03:38.160 Pray around a courthouse.
00:03:40.240 Pray that justice would finally prevail.
00:03:43.020 Go to town squares and parks and pray that there would be freedom to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.
00:03:49.240 Guys, we have been encouraging people to carry the Christian flag.
00:03:54.040 It's a powerful symbol of who we are and what we are as believers.
00:03:57.840 And we will have a link in our Action for Canada Prayer Walk for Revival page as to where you can order the flag.
00:04:05.460 Also, as a description of what the flag stands for.
00:04:08.500 Now, as you walk, you will find that you will be walking in front of some churches, some false religion churches, as well as some temples.
00:04:18.180 And these have been allowed into our country under the guise of immigration. 1.00
00:04:22.640 Let me tell you something. 0.54
00:04:24.400 Those false religions have allowed false gods to come into our country. 1.00
00:04:28.640 As you walk in front of those places, pray against those false religions. 1.00
00:04:33.480 Pray against those false gods. 0.99
00:04:34.860 In the name of Jesus Christ, reclaim that territory.
00:04:38.500 If you're walking in front of some churches that actually preach the gospel, pray a blessing on those churches.
00:04:45.700 You know, Canada was founded upon the principles that recognize the supremacy of God and the rule of law.
00:04:51.700 And it's time we take that stand and pray that God would just restore that to our land.
00:04:58.020 It's best practice to pray in small groups.
00:05:00.820 When you come to some of those places I mentioned, stop and pray.
00:05:04.580 Maybe one or two people lead out in prayer.
00:05:06.440 And some people may just feel more comfortable just to pray quietly as you walk around.
00:05:11.400 It does not need to be a big fanfare.
00:05:13.760 God knows your heart.
00:05:15.120 But the important thing is to go ahead and take action and do something for those seven weeks.
00:05:20.520 We are asking that if you are going to participate as a church or as a small group, please connect with us so we can network with you.
00:05:30.360 Send us an email at pastors at actionforcanada.ca.
00:05:34.360 And we're also asking people who participate, be it our Action for Canada chapters or small groups or churches, to send us some photos of your prayer walks or some short videos.
00:05:47.060 Every year we put together some picture collages and we have two or three that we like to do every year just to encourage everyone across Canada to see what God is doing through these prayer walks.
00:05:59.440 And we have incredible testimonies to share.
00:06:01.500 So, again, send us your photos, your short videos, your testimonies at pastors at actionforcanada.ca.
00:06:09.840 So, I hope that answers your questions as to what a prayer walk is and how to get involved.
00:06:15.480 And we are so encouraged for everyone that gets involved.
00:06:19.040 So, thank you for participating and God bless you.
00:06:23.960 God bless your Action for Canada chapter.
00:06:26.300 God bless your church.
00:06:27.800 And God bless Canada.
