00:00:00.000 Over the past few days, Canadians were shocked and, frankly, disgusted

00:00:05.160 by the behavior displayed by some people protesting in our nation's capital.

00:00:14.840 We are not intimidated by those who hurl insults and abuse at small business workers

00:00:21.600 and steal food from the homeless.

00:00:25.200 We won't give in to those who fly racist flags.

00:00:28.900 We won't cave to those who engage in vandalism or dishonor the memory of our veterans.

00:01:35.300 Hateful rhetoric, abuse towards their fellow citizens,

00:01:39.380 there is always a right to protest peacefully that I and others will defend fully as part of this democracy.

00:01:46.800 There is not a right to incite violence, perform acts of violence, or to spew hatred.

00:01:55.480 And I think anyone who is part of this group, who is disgusted by what their folks protesting alongside are doing,

00:02:06.400 needs to step up and take responsibility, condemn these actions,

00:02:10.960 and look for other ways to express their displeasure.
