Adin Live - Jon Jones Answers Questions From Adin Ross

00:00:00.000 You're the same exact age. Yeah, and that just makes sense to me. Yeah. Yeah, I would love to see. I think the fans would love to see it, too.

00:00:14.000 What's up, Aiden? How you doing, baby?

00:00:16.000 How you doing, man?

00:00:17.000 Good. You already had a good time?

00:00:19.000 Let's do it, bro.

00:00:20.000 Let's do it, man. Let's have a...

00:00:21.000 Come on. What you got?

00:00:23.000 What you got?

00:00:24.000 Kevin. Kevin, I don't know about this one.

00:00:26.000 What'd you do today, bro?

00:00:27.000 I woke up this morning, did some weigh-ins, like the official weigh-ins, weighing in about 11 pounds lighter than I was last time competing.

00:00:35.000 What are you wearing right now?

00:00:36.000 About 240. Well, I just ate something.

00:00:39.000 Probably like, let's see. What was that? It was 237, but right now I'm probably closer to 245.

00:00:45.000 Yeah, I just ate a ton of food and hydrated a ton.

00:00:48.000 You have to dehydrate?

00:00:49.000 No, I didn't. I didn't have to dehydrate, but I just ate a ton of food and I drank a ton of water, so now I just feel really good. I feel really cool.

00:00:56.000 Like a reset in a way?

00:00:57.000 Yeah.

00:00:58.000 Guys, this is my first time ever doing a video. I'm going to livestream, bro. I'm using everything live. We're not doing this shit live, but we're still going to have a good time.

00:01:03.000 That's dope. I'm excited about that. The ability to edit is going to be dope. 0.99

00:01:06.000 Right? 0.99

00:01:07.000 Yeah, you're going to kill it. 0.99

00:01:08.000 I heard Mr. Trump's going to be at the fight. 0.98

00:01:11.000 Yeah.

00:01:12.000 That'd be cool.

00:01:13.000 I'm excited about that.

00:01:14.000 That'd be cool.

00:01:15.000 To be able to compete and run it down to be his entertainment. What is this? The second Saturday since the election?

00:01:19.000 Yeah, I think so.

00:01:20.000 There's a lot of other places I think he could be right now, but the fact that he's here to watch me as the main event and watch all the guys in the car. I know he's good friends with Bo Nickel as well.

00:01:26.000 Yeah.

00:01:27.000 So it's going to be great. No pressure or anything.

00:01:29.000 No pressure or anything, exactly.

00:01:30.000 When did you get in?

00:01:31.000 Just like a few hours ago, bro. I'm running off a few hours of sleep.

00:01:35.000 Yeah, same here, bro.

00:01:36.000 Really?

00:01:37.000 I went to bed last night at 4 a.m. and I woke up at like 9.

00:01:41.000 You're on the go.

00:01:42.000 Yeah.

00:01:43.000 Well, not even on the go.

00:01:44.000 I was just so hyped about everything that's happening on social media.

00:01:47.000 For some reason, as the fights get closer for me, I just want to know all the buzz.

00:01:52.000 Most fighters, they turn off the noise and they just want to focus on the fight.

00:01:55.000 Me, I'm responding to text messages.

00:01:57.000 So you want to see everything.

00:01:58.000 I like to know everything that's happening.

00:02:00.000 I want to know what the trolls are saying. I'm weird like that.

00:02:03.000 I feel like my mind works faster when the fight gets close.

00:02:05.000 Yeah.

00:02:06.000 So I just got to put that energy somewhere.

00:02:07.000 And last night, I was up all night long. Dude, it's crazy.

00:02:09.000 Me and you both are a little tired.

00:02:11.000 So you said you like to see what the trolls are saying.

00:02:14.000 So how do you use that as kind of like fuel in a way? 1.00

00:02:17.000 Because I know you see that shit because it's all over. 0.99

00:02:19.000 I get trolls too, so I know that is. 1.00

00:02:21.000 I definitely see it.

00:02:22.000 You know, I think it's the cost of being the boss, man.

00:02:26.000 I think when you do anything great and you're really good at what you do,

00:02:28.000 I mean, you've got to have critics.

00:02:30.000 Usually people who aren't living on our level.

00:02:33.000 Guys who aren't making moves and getting it done.

00:02:35.000 And not everybody's happy to see winners.

00:02:37.000 And so actually, I sympathize with people who have such hatred and sadness in their head.

00:02:41.000 Yeah, they're like lost in a way, you know?

00:02:43.000 They're lost.

00:02:44.000 You've got to feel for them.

00:02:45.000 Yeah, exactly.

00:02:46.000 So they want to point that anger and frustration towards something or someone.

00:02:49.000 And if it's guys like me and you, let them have it. 1.00

00:02:51.000 Shit, that's how it is, man. 1.00

00:02:53.000 That's the winning mindset right there. 1.00

00:02:54.000 I tell you, they say it both.

00:02:55.000 They say, very rarely are people that are doing better than you hate on you.

00:02:59.000 That's very rare.

00:03:00.000 You know, guys that are ahead of you, they're usually focusing on the things they got to do.

00:03:03.000 That's true.

00:03:04.000 You know, their happiness, their light.

00:03:05.000 It's always the guys that are slightly behind you that has the most hatred.

00:03:08.000 So I look at it that way.

00:03:09.000 Gotcha.

00:03:10.000 And it helps me out a lot.

00:03:11.000 Gotcha.

00:03:12.000 So your opponent who you're fighting, I want to ask you, how do you think it's going to end tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden?

00:03:18.000 How do I think it's going to end?

00:03:19.000 How do I think it's going to end?

00:03:20.000 I believe that I'm going to finish him on the ground before the championship round.

00:03:25.000 Submission or knockout?

00:03:26.000 Or either or? 0.98

00:03:27.000 Initially, I really wanted to submit him, but he's been talking a lot of trash. 0.99

00:03:32.000 And I think punching him into submission would just feel better to me. 0.97

00:03:37.000 But I do believe it's going to ground that his greatest gift is his right hand. 0.89

00:03:41.000 He has a beautiful straight right punch.

00:03:43.000 He's knocked out a lot of people with it.

00:03:44.000 And so I've really kind of narrowed the fight down to staying away from that right punch.

00:03:48.000 And if I can do that, chances of me winning go through the roof.

00:03:51.000 Gotcha.

00:03:52.000 John, who do you want to fight after this?

00:03:55.000 You know, I was seeing the internet talk about someone and I saw you not paying any attention to it.

00:04:00.000 But I think, well, I'll tell you what I personally think, but I want to know who you think. 0.99

00:04:04.000 I want to fight your ass after me. 1.00

00:04:05.000 Me? 1.00

00:04:06.000 Oh, yeah.

00:04:07.000 What?

00:04:08.000 What did I do?

00:04:09.000 What?

00:04:10.000 What?

00:04:11.000 What did I do?

00:04:12.000 Leave me out of this one, John.

00:04:13.000 Come on, bro.

00:04:14.000 Come on, bro.

00:04:15.000 You're on the mat.

00:04:16.000 That's why.

00:04:17.000 You can have one finger and I'll be out.

00:04:18.000 That's right.

00:04:19.000 That's what she said.

00:04:20.000 Yeah.

00:04:21.000 I'm sorry, bro.

00:04:23.000 Oh, man.

00:04:24.000 Who would I like to fight?

00:04:26.000 I'd like to fight against Alex Perez.

00:04:28.000 That's who I want to see.

00:04:29.000 Yeah.

00:04:30.000 Okay.

00:04:31.000 So you're a Perez fan.

00:04:32.000 I do.

00:04:33.000 And it's like I understand what you're saying, too, because it's like it's never been like

00:04:38.000 a discussion yet, like on the other person.

00:04:41.000 But I feel like you and Alex makes the most sense.

00:04:43.000 Yeah.

00:04:44.000 I think it makes the most sense, too.

00:04:45.000 I mean, when it comes down to accolades, Alex Perez has done so much in the UFC in such a short amount of time.

00:04:50.000 He's built a huge legacy, not only in Brazil, but in America.

00:04:53.000 You know, Americans love him so much.

00:04:55.000 Yeah.

00:04:56.000 And he's a two-division champion like myself.

00:04:58.000 He's incredibly marketable.

00:05:00.000 And I just think that's the fight to make.

00:05:03.000 I mean, other things, we're the same exact size.

00:05:07.000 We're the same exact age.

00:05:08.000 Yeah.

00:05:09.000 And that just makes sense to me.

00:05:10.000 Yeah.

00:05:11.000 Yeah, I would love to see it.

00:05:12.000 I think the fans would love to see it, too.

00:05:13.000 Quack, quack, quack, quack.

00:05:15.000 I don't think you're ducking because if you were ducking, you wouldn't call Alex.

00:05:19.000 You know what I'm saying?

00:05:20.000 That's what I see because you're literally saying that you want to fight Alex Perez.

00:05:23.000 In my opinion, Alex Perez has the shine right now.

00:05:26.000 And I feel like you're saying that you want to fight him.

00:05:29.000 So I don't necessarily think you're ducking.

00:05:31.000 He's a very, very good fighter.

00:05:32.000 He's a very good fighter.

00:05:33.000 At the end of the day, with the career that I had, a lot of guys would want to take their chips and go home.

00:05:38.000 Yeah.

00:05:39.000 But me, I'm still willing to put it out there.

00:05:41.000 I'm still willing to gamble an undefeated legacy.

00:05:44.000 I just want to fight a fight that just makes more sense to me.

00:05:47.000 Yeah.

00:05:48.000 I mean, the reason why you're here today and how you've had such a successful career is because you have that mindset.

00:05:55.000 Yeah.

00:05:56.000 Making smart business moves.

00:05:57.000 That's you.

00:05:58.000 Sometimes we just got to do what's best for us.

00:05:59.000 Yeah.

00:06:00.000 It's like, do we love entertaining our fans and our audiences?

00:06:03.000 Yeah.

00:06:04.000 We do a lot to keep those guys happy.

00:06:06.000 Yeah.

00:06:07.000 At a certain point, it's like, okay, what about my happiness?

00:06:09.000 What about my personal goals?

00:06:11.000 And that's just where I'm at today.

00:06:12.000 Yeah.

00:06:13.000 What do you think about your disqualification, but now the rule is kind of bent a little bit.

00:06:20.000 It's not the same as it used to be.

00:06:22.000 So what are your thoughts on kind of the whole elbow situation?

00:06:25.000 I love the idea of the 12-6 elbow being legal now.

00:06:28.000 For the longest time, I trained myself to never go there again.

00:06:31.000 You know, it's still the reason why I had a loss in my record.

00:06:34.000 And now that the 12-6 is legal again.

00:06:37.000 Will it be overturned?

00:06:38.000 No, it won't be overturned.

00:06:40.000 Just last night at the press conference, Dana was just like, I've tried everything and the chances of it being overturned is slim to none.

00:06:45.000 So I have to just accept that.

00:06:47.000 And I feel like the true MMA fans, the long-term MMA fans, long-time MMA fans, they know what's what.

00:06:54.000 They know that I beat Matt Hamill pretty good that night.

00:06:57.000 I saw it.

00:06:58.000 And in my own heart, I do still feel undefeated.

00:07:01.000 No one's ever made me tap out out there.

00:07:04.000 Only one guy's actually made me bleed.

00:07:06.000 Only one guy's ever taken me down in the fight.

00:07:09.000 So I feel really good about the way it's gone.

00:07:11.000 Got you.

00:07:12.000 It's been a great career.

00:07:13.000 I saw DC ask you a question.

00:07:14.000 What's your relationship like with DC nowadays?

00:07:16.000 DC, man, you know, I would love it to be a great relationship.

00:07:20.000 Him and I, we really pushed each other in the cage and in training.

00:07:25.000 I feel like forever he made me a better martial artist.

00:07:28.000 And I love to be cool with him.

00:07:30.000 You know, I respect everything about him, like his work ethic, the way that he's a great coach.

00:07:35.000 He coaches the youth still.

00:07:36.000 He appears to be a great husband and a great father.

00:07:39.000 And he's really my type of guy.

00:07:40.000 You know, we have wrestling in common, which is one of the greatest sports ever.

00:07:44.000 And unfortunately, I don't think he's ever going to be cool with me, bro.

00:07:48.000 Like, you know, the way that I beat him twice and, you know, I took his undefeated record away from him.

00:07:54.000 I ended up knocking him out and things like that.

00:07:57.000 I just don't think he'll ever come to terms with me. 0.99

00:08:00.000 Damn. 0.99

00:08:01.000 But it is what it is. 1.00

00:08:02.000 Damn, man. 0.99

00:08:03.000 I mean, I... 1.00

00:08:04.000 You can't win them all.

00:08:05.000 Yeah, it is what it is.

00:08:06.000 You can't win them all.

00:08:07.000 I'm sure you know things about that.

00:08:08.000 Of course.

00:08:09.000 Who are your top three fighters of all time or any athletes specifically you want to say?

00:08:16.000 Just top three of...

00:08:17.000 Yeah, any athlete, honestly.

00:08:18.000 Any sport.

00:08:19.000 Okay.

00:08:20.000 Let's see.

00:08:21.000 In MMA, my top fighters would be Anderson Silva.

00:08:24.000 He's number one for me.

00:08:25.000 I've watched him since I was a little...

00:08:27.000 A young guy.

00:08:28.000 I just love everything about him.

00:08:29.000 Just his, like, lightheartedness and just, you know, the fact that he associates with Spider-Man.

00:08:35.000 I just think that's cool.

00:08:36.000 I don't know why.

00:08:37.000 I just think that's really cool.

00:08:38.000 Um, uh, just the way his country loves him.

00:08:41.000 Um, the way that he's trained his son up to be such a great athlete.

00:08:44.000 Yeah. 0.99

00:08:45.000 His son's a monster too. 0.99

00:08:46.000 His son's a beast as well. 0.99

00:08:47.000 Yeah.

00:08:48.000 Um, Anderson.

00:08:49.000 I can go on and on about Anderson Silva.

00:08:51.000 Um, let's see.

00:08:53.000 George St. Pierre.

00:08:54.000 Sure.

00:08:55.000 I think he just brought MMA to a whole different level.

00:08:57.000 He was one of the first guys to wear suits to press conferences.

00:09:00.000 Um, he's always just kept a really clean image.

00:09:03.000 And, uh, I've got to spend a lot of time with him personally.

00:09:06.000 And, uh, like what you see on TV is what you get.

00:09:09.000 Gotcha.

00:09:10.000 He's a legit good human being.

00:09:12.000 Um, let's see.

00:09:13.000 And then outside of MMA, um, Tom Brady.

00:09:17.000 I'm just a fan of dominance.

00:09:18.000 You know, to be able to switch teams and continuously win championships is really impressive.

00:09:24.000 I think he's a great American athlete.

00:09:25.000 Yeah.

00:09:26.000 Um, let's see.

00:09:28.000 You gotta be a LeBron fan.

00:09:30.000 LeBron, he's just killing it.

00:09:32.000 Years and years of longevity.

00:09:33.000 That's something that really inspires me.

00:09:35.000 Brady and LeBron, the way these guys could stick around so long, man.

00:09:38.000 That, that, that is, that is truly impressive to me.

00:09:41.000 And that's something that I want to represent when I leave the sport.

00:09:44.000 I want people to look at my career and realize how many generations I've been here.

00:09:48.000 And, uh, hopefully that could inspire young fighters to realize that you can do it.

00:09:53.000 Anything's possible.

00:09:54.000 Put your mind to it.

00:09:55.000 Yeah.

00:09:56.000 Manifestation's real.

00:09:57.000 I heard Tyson say something recently.

00:09:58.000 He was just like, he's like, what is age?

00:10:00.000 You know, he's like, we're told that we're certain ages.

00:10:02.000 You know what I mean?

00:10:03.000 Like, and then depending on what your beliefs are, some people have this, this amount of

00:10:08.000 calendar years.

00:10:09.000 Some people have this amount of calendar years.

00:10:11.000 So depending on what, what your perspective is, like age is just an idea, you know?

00:10:16.000 You know, so, you know, as long as you're feeling good, you know?

00:10:20.000 It's all that matters, man.

00:10:21.000 Stay after it.

00:10:22.000 Stay after it.

00:10:23.000 Yeah, man.

00:10:24.000 Stay after it.

00:10:25.000 Yeah.

00:10:26.000 How old do you get now?

00:10:27.000 Your unk status?

00:10:28.000 Yeah, I'm unk status.

00:10:29.000 You know, I'm, I'm 37 years old. 0.99

00:10:30.000 Damn. 0.99

00:10:31.000 Um, I've been fighting for a long time. 0.99

00:10:32.000 My body has pain everywhere if I'm being honest, but you know, like my mindset and my

00:10:35.000 mentality for the most part, like when I train, I try to train as if I'm maybe 30 years

00:10:40.000 old, man.

00:10:41.000 That's great.

00:10:42.000 I run fast still.

00:10:43.000 That's great.

00:10:44.000 You know, everything I used to be able to do, I still pretty much can do.

00:10:47.000 So it feels good.

00:10:48.000 Age is just a number.

00:10:49.000 Age is just a number.

00:10:50.000 Or mindset.

00:10:51.000 Or mindset.

00:10:52.000 Yeah.

00:10:53.000 Yeah.

00:10:54.000 Or an idea.

00:10:55.000 However you want to look at it.

00:10:56.000 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:10:57.000 Um, you know, back in the day when I, I would see, you know, you were younger coming into the

00:11:00.000 MMA game and stuff, you know, you used to talk about like, oh, you would go out and get

00:11:03.000 trashed before fights and then end up just knocking these guys out and submitting them.

00:11:07.000 Nowadays, how do you prepare yourself for these fights?

00:11:09.000 Cause you've obviously matured, you're way more experienced and you're grown up, man.

00:11:13.000 So how do you, what's it like now?

00:11:15.000 I'm still getting pumped up.

00:11:16.000 Oh, you are?

00:11:17.000 Oh yeah.

00:11:18.000 I'm joking.

00:11:19.000 I'm joking guys.

00:11:20.000 Um, you know, I just, I just, I just, I, uh, I train harder than ever now.

00:11:29.000 Um, you know, I, I realized that when I do party, it hurts way longer than it used to

00:11:34.000 man.

00:11:35.000 It can take a good two or three days out of me.

00:11:36.000 So, um, I just try to do less.

00:11:39.000 I try to be more mature about everything I do.

00:11:41.000 Um, um, but yeah, man, I, I just, I just, I just go hard.

00:11:46.000 You know, I go hard in the gym for the most part.

00:11:48.000 Um, I say, I say to fighters, you know, who, who thinks it's going to party while fighting.

00:11:53.000 I say, um, you have to pay to play.

00:11:57.000 You have to pay to play, you know?

00:11:59.000 So if you're going to be a guy who can play, then you've got to be one of the hardest working

00:12:03.000 men in the room.

00:12:04.000 Gotcha.

00:12:05.000 I take a lot of pride in.

00:12:06.000 Yeah.

00:12:07.000 Like if I do decide to go on a weekend on Monday or on Sunday, I'm like, I'm on my recovery

00:12:11.000 program.

00:12:12.000 I take that very seriously.

00:12:13.000 I'm on my hydration.

00:12:14.000 And then I make sure that I'm not missing a beat when I get back to training.

00:12:17.000 Gotcha.

00:12:18.000 Yeah.

00:12:19.000 Yeah.

00:12:20.000 You got to have everything.

00:12:21.000 Everything's got to be, you know, if you want to, if you want to have partying and all

00:12:23.000 this stuff and go have that whole life, you gotta, you gotta put the work in too.

00:12:27.000 You gotta earn it.

00:12:28.000 You have to earn it.

00:12:29.000 Cause our competition is right behind us, bro.

00:12:31.000 People are nipping on our heels to try to have what we have.

00:12:34.000 And try to pass you up.

00:12:35.000 Yup.

00:12:36.000 And so, yeah, it's good to have a strong social life and do the things that you enjoy.

00:12:40.000 But, but the work ethic has to remain the same.

00:12:43.000 Man.

00:12:44.000 It's crazy.

00:12:45.000 You've kept out this so much time because most people get comfortable too, man.

00:12:47.000 I, you know, it's crazy that you've still kept that mindset.

00:12:51.000 Yeah.

00:12:52.000 It's such a crazy career for years, man.

00:12:53.000 It's crazy.

00:12:54.000 Yeah.

00:12:55.000 Since I was a little kid.

00:12:56.000 Ah, yo, why you make me feel old, bro?

00:12:58.000 Your up status.

00:12:59.000 What's up, bro?

00:13:00.000 Oh my God. 1.00

00:13:01.000 Oh shit. 0.99

00:13:02.000 Not yet. 1.00

00:13:03.000 I'm gonna take a light kick, but not yet.

00:13:04.000 I'm done.

00:13:05.000 I gotta mentally prepare myself for that. 1.00

00:13:06.000 I'll kick the shit out of you. 1.00

00:13:07.000 Goddamn, bro. 1.00

00:13:08.000 Oh, but, but nah, man. 1.00

00:13:10.000 Like it's, it's, it's honestly truly remarkable to see where you've all your shit, man. 0.99

00:13:15.000 It's, it's honestly from me to you as a fan growing up watching you. 0.98

00:13:18.000 It's like, honestly, man, I'm just love, bro.

00:13:20.000 Seriously.

00:13:21.000 Are you coming to the fight?

00:13:22.000 Yeah.

00:13:23.000 I'm coming.

00:13:24.000 I'm coming.

00:13:25.000 I'm going to put my money on you and I'm going to go Chandler.

00:13:30.000 Chandler.

00:13:31.000 Okay.

00:13:32.000 Yeah.

00:13:33.000 Yeah.

00:13:34.000 That's, I mean, Michael's very, very dedicated athlete.

00:13:35.000 Right now.

00:13:36.000 I think he's probably the most fit guy in the car.

00:13:37.000 He looks.

00:13:38.000 Yeah.

00:13:39.000 And he has an intensity about him where it's just like, you can tell how seriously he's

00:13:44.000 taking this for a very long time.

00:13:46.000 Yeah.

00:13:47.000 Charles Oliveira is so loved, bro.

00:13:48.000 Yeah, dude.

00:13:49.000 He's, he's also in his own way, his own beast too.

00:13:51.000 Yeah.

00:13:52.000 Yeah.

00:13:53.000 They're both, they're both in a good time.

00:13:54.000 Who do you think wins that fight? 0.86

00:13:56.000 Oh man.

00:13:57.000 You know, you know, I, I hung out with Charles yesterday.

00:14:01.000 We rode in the, in the Sprinter van together and we were on the same side of, of just like,

00:14:06.000 I think we're both in the red corner and I just got to like be around his energy for

00:14:11.000 a minute.

00:14:12.000 And just based off of that alone, I think I'm, I think I'm rooting for him.

00:14:15.000 Yeah.

00:14:16.000 He just seems so genuine and so sincere.

00:14:18.000 And bro, he came up to me and hugged me, bro. 0.99

00:14:20.000 And he like, like put his head in my chest and shit. 0.97

00:14:23.000 It was, but he, it was just, he was just being so genuine at the moment. 0.98

00:14:26.000 I was just like, you know, you're a good dude.

00:14:28.000 Like the heart inside of him, I think is real and not, no, no knock on Chandler.

00:14:33.000 Yeah.

00:14:34.000 But I think I'm going to go with a aloe vera on this one.

00:14:36.000 Fair enough.

00:14:37.000 And yeah, you, I would, you're a professional. 0.99

00:14:39.000 So you know how that shit goes down and stuff too. 1.00

00:14:41.000 So damn, I might switch my bet now. 1.00

00:14:43.000 Well, listen, like I'm just saying who I'm rooting for. 0.99

00:14:47.000 Yeah.

00:14:48.000 I don't know who's going to actually win.

00:14:49.000 True.

00:14:50.000 True.

00:14:51.000 Yeah.

00:14:52.000 Um, I do have some questions from some fans. 0.99

00:14:53.000 Oh shit. 0.99

00:14:54.000 The fan questions. 1.00

00:14:55.000 They won't be to ask these.

00:14:56.000 Oh boy.

00:14:57.000 Let's see what you guys came up with.

00:14:58.000 Well, the good part is it's not live.

00:15:00.000 So if you, you could just be like, skip.

00:15:03.000 If you, if you don't want to answer, I'm like, this is going to be an Aspinall fest.

00:15:07.000 I'm out of here.

00:15:08.000 Shout out to hydrogen water bottles. 1.00

00:15:10.000 Damn. 0.99

00:15:11.000 That looks good. 0.99

00:15:12.000 So what did that do?

00:15:13.000 Isn't that stuff?

00:15:14.000 It like, it does something to the water.

00:15:16.000 Yeah.

00:15:17.000 So like, I don't know all the scientific like terms and everything, but it's, it's a hydrogen

00:15:20.000 water bottle and I got it from my buddy Gary Bricka and it's, uh, it's functions are,

00:15:25.000 it helps you metabolize your food, uh, quicker.

00:15:28.000 If you're taking supplements, it helps the supplements like be like, just absorb easier.

00:15:33.000 It helps your digestive system.

00:15:35.000 Uh, it helps anti-aging.

00:15:38.000 Um, do you know what NAD is by the way?

00:15:40.000 No.

00:15:41.000 NAD, NAD is like an anti-aging.

00:15:42.000 You, you've heard about that too?

00:15:43.000 Really?

00:15:44.000 Oh really?

00:15:45.000 Yeah. 1.00

00:15:46.000 Needle right in the ass, huh? 1.00

00:15:49.000 It's not. 1.00

00:15:50.000 Okay.

00:15:51.000 No way.

00:15:52.000 It's an anti-ager.

00:15:53.000 Really?

00:15:54.000 Yeah.

00:15:55.000 We need it.

00:15:56.000 I want to see you at six be fighting.

00:15:57.000 So we need you to start taking that.

00:15:58.000 Man.

00:15:59.000 I don't think your side is going to be cool with that or drug testing, but shout out to you,

00:16:02.000 Gary Bricka.

00:16:03.000 I appreciate you, man.

00:16:04.000 You've been a life-changing for me.

00:16:05.000 Awesome guy.

00:16:06.000 That's awesome.

00:16:07.000 All right.

00:16:08.000 The Aspinall question.

00:16:09.000 The only Aspinall question.

00:16:10.000 You're going straight to it, huh?

00:16:11.000 Let's just get it out the way.

00:16:12.000 Let's just get out the way.

00:16:13.000 Let's do it.

00:16:14.000 Will there ever be a John Jones Aspinall fight?

00:16:19.000 No.

00:16:20.000 More than likely, no.

00:16:21.000 I think the only way that we do it is if Dana and Hunter give me a check that really

00:16:29.000 changes my mind.

00:16:31.000 Got it.

00:16:32.000 That really changes everything.

00:16:33.000 That's the only way.

00:16:35.000 I want it to be really, really worth my while.

00:16:38.000 And right now, it just doesn't feel really, really worth my while.

00:16:43.000 He's a great challenge.

00:16:44.000 I get the hype that's behind him.

00:16:46.000 But I've been quieting hype and quieting noise literally my whole career.

00:16:52.000 So I just don't see a reason to do it.

00:16:56.000 So the trolls chirping you and stuff. 1.00

00:16:58.000 That shit doesn't even get to you at all. 1.00

00:17:00.000 Well, the trolls chirping me is part of the reason why I'm not going to do it. 1.00

00:17:02.000 Got it.

00:17:03.000 I'm just going to like, this is what you want and this is the way you're going about it?

00:17:07.000 Okay.

00:17:08.000 Now I'm going to be the one with the last laugh, with some serious records in the UFC.

00:17:15.000 And being called a duck is like one of the funniest things ever.

00:17:19.000 It really shows me where the level of a lot of our trolls are at. 0.94

00:17:24.000 Like the mental level. 0.99

00:17:25.000 It's just like, I don't want to sound like an asshole, but I'm a grown man. 0.99

00:17:30.000 I was in high school a very long time ago. 0.98

00:17:33.000 I've become a very successful person.

00:17:35.000 And being called duck is just like, it's just like the least of a person's words.

00:17:42.000 It's like, it's like calling me a chicken or something like that.

00:17:45.000 It's just like, and I guess there's so many people doing it right now.

00:17:49.000 It makes it kind of like, it's like a human study I'm going through right now.

00:17:52.000 I'm like, wow, this is really where I'm at right now.

00:17:54.000 I'm getting called a duck.

00:17:55.000 But I'm like, on the other hand, like people really think that's supposed to do something

00:18:00.000 or sway me.

00:18:01.000 It's just weird.

00:18:02.000 I don't know if the UFC fans are getting younger and younger.

00:18:05.000 I don't really know what it is.

00:18:06.000 So the internet now, it's just, I don't know what it is.

00:18:09.000 It's transformed in a way where, yeah, I mean, fans are obviously younger on the internet

00:18:13.000 in general.

00:18:14.000 People that use X and TikTok and stuff, like it's the brain level is different now.

00:18:19.000 But like, I'm telling you now, nowadays people don't really have respect for elders

00:18:23.000 and stuff.

00:18:24.000 Like I see all the time, I saw a video with Charles Barkley and some guy walked up to him

00:18:27.000 and says like, oh, you never want to ring or something like that.

00:18:30.000 And Charles Barkley wanted to square up with the kid and like fight him.

00:18:32.000 But that kid's just trolling for a TikTok.

00:18:34.000 So nowadays it's just different.

00:18:36.000 They'll go all out to get a TikTok out of you. 1.00

00:18:38.000 I have a feeling there's going to be people that will try to say something to you in person. 1.00

00:18:42.000 But I know you don't play that shit, bro. 0.99

00:18:43.000 I was at the press conference yesterday and I took notice to these about three or four 1.00

00:18:50.000 young men that were sitting together.

00:18:51.000 And they had to have been anywhere from 19 to maybe 23 years old.

00:18:55.000 And bro, they were yelling the most reckless stuff to me.

00:18:58.000 And I was just like, I had never had someone, I mean, face to face, I mean, I guess I can't

00:19:04.000 call it face to face because they're about 40 yards from me and a group of people.

00:19:07.000 But I had never had someone disrespect me like that, like so publicly.

00:19:11.000 And I was thinking there has to be an old head Johnny Bones fan up there in the audience

00:19:15.000 that's going to go pop one of these kids in their head. 1.00

00:19:17.000 Yeah. 1.00

00:19:18.000 They were just saying whatever the fuck they wanted. 0.99

00:19:20.000 It's crazy. 0.99

00:19:21.000 It's interesting.

00:19:22.000 They do it for shock value, you know?

00:19:24.000 I actually feel bad.

00:19:25.000 I feel bad for our youth.

00:19:27.000 I really do.

00:19:28.000 I really, and I don't know if there's a way to fix it, but yeah, I see it firsthand.

00:19:33.000 And I'm just like, I mean, I don't want to elaborate on this topic too much, but like

00:19:37.000 you get a, you've got a bunch of kids who probably aren't reaching for their goals.

00:19:41.000 Make fun of a person who's living their dream out.

00:19:45.000 Yeah.

00:19:46.000 Like, it's just like, where is, how is that even a real thing?

00:19:49.000 You know what I mean?

00:19:50.000 It's, it's weird.

00:19:51.000 It's weird, but that's just where we are as a society.

00:19:53.000 And I guess I'll be a duck.

00:19:55.000 I guess I'll be a duck.

00:19:57.000 Well, you handle it pretty well.

00:19:58.000 And I want to ask you a question, like for people that are watching, you know, how does

00:20:02.000 somebody become John Jones?

00:20:03.000 How does somebody be successful in your space?

00:20:06.000 What does it take?

00:20:07.000 And like, what are the steps to do so?

00:20:09.000 Ah, let's see.

00:20:10.000 The steps to do, I think you have to have self-belief.

00:20:13.000 You have to, you have to make some goals.

00:20:15.000 You have to write them down.

00:20:16.000 You have to believe in these goals, no matter how long it takes for you to get there.

00:20:20.000 You got to have thick skin.

00:20:23.000 You got to be able to be, to handle be called names, right?

00:20:26.000 Yeah.

00:20:27.000 You got to be a hard worker.

00:20:29.000 You know, you can't be a person to blame things on others.

00:20:32.000 You have to take full responsibility for your falls and for your successes.

00:20:36.000 You have to take full responsibility for your work ethic.

00:20:39.000 Yeah, those, those are some of the keys for me.

00:20:45.000 Another thing I'll say is to believe in a higher power.

00:20:49.000 I think that definitely helps.

00:20:50.000 When things get tough, you're going to need someone to talk to.

00:20:53.000 And whether you're Jewish or Muslim or Christian or whatever you believe in, you know, hold,

00:20:57.000 hold God close to your heart.

00:20:59.000 I think that'll help you through a lot of hard times.

00:21:01.000 Love that.

00:21:02.000 That was, that was deep, man.

00:21:03.000 That was, that was awesome.

00:21:04.000 That hit me.

00:21:05.000 Yeah.

00:21:06.000 Yeah, for sure.

00:21:07.000 Let me see what else you guys asked.

00:21:09.000 By the way, this is awesome.

00:21:10.000 You're doing this.

00:21:11.000 You're fighting.

00:21:12.000 He's fighting tomorrow, by the way.

00:21:13.000 I'm fighting tomorrow, but Aiden's the guy.

00:21:15.000 I'm just learning about the work that you put in.

00:21:18.000 My whole team was like, Aiden Ross, you got the opportunity to talk to the boy. 0.99

00:21:22.000 Damn. 0.99

00:21:23.000 And I jumped on the opportunity. 0.99

00:21:24.000 I'm grateful for it.

00:21:25.000 My God.

00:21:26.000 My God.

00:21:27.000 Yeah.

00:21:28.000 All right.

00:21:29.000 Go with the goat. 0.99

00:21:30.000 Go with the goat. 0.99

00:21:31.000 I love it.

00:21:32.000 Oh, they want to know about your surgery and how you recovered.

00:21:34.000 And you know, how did you get back to like a hundred percent?

00:21:36.000 Like what was the whole process like to rehab and stuff?

00:21:39.000 Bro, my rehab was, it was wild.

00:21:41.000 I didn't know where to start, bro.

00:21:42.000 It was honestly really depressing at first.

00:21:44.000 Like I realized that I could, at first I couldn't even lift my arm.

00:21:48.000 And then I had to just work on being able to lean against the wall.

00:21:51.000 And I would do like push-ups pretty much leaning against the wall.

00:21:54.000 And then, you know, slowly but surely, you know, things started getting better.

00:21:58.000 But very slowly.

00:21:59.000 I couldn't sleep on my left side at all.

00:22:02.000 So sleeping was a hard time.

00:22:03.000 Excuse me.

00:22:04.000 It took a long time.

00:22:06.000 You know, my mindset was, you know, forget trying to look lean and all that type of stuff.

00:22:11.000 It was like, I packed on a lot of weight because my mindset was like the more, the more body fat,

00:22:16.000 like the more lube in my joints, I thought that it helped my healing process better.

00:22:20.000 And it actually did work out for me.

00:22:23.000 So my squat numbers went down.

00:22:25.000 My deadlift went down.

00:22:27.000 No pull-ups.

00:22:28.000 I was super intimidated to bench press.

00:22:30.000 I thought I would re-injure my shoulder if I got underneath the bench press.

00:22:35.000 It was a wild journey, but I stayed persistent.

00:22:40.000 You know, I had to learn to humble myself and just be okay bench pressing 90 pounds again

00:22:46.000 and just like really taking it slow.

00:22:48.000 And through a lot of time and hard work and persistency, it just came back.

00:22:54.000 And now I feel really, really good.

00:22:56.000 I feel really strong, fast and athletic.

00:22:58.000 And I feel like the best heavyweight version of myself that I've ever been. 0.99

00:23:02.000 Damn. 0.98

00:23:03.000 Yeah. 1.00

00:23:04.000 That's big.

00:23:05.000 Yeah. 1.00

00:23:06.000 Damn. 1.00

00:23:07.000 What do you do when you're not training or fighting? 1.00

00:23:09.000 What do you do in your spare time?

00:23:10.000 What are your hobbies?

00:23:11.000 When I'm not training?

00:23:13.000 I have beautiful kids.

00:23:16.000 My kids are, my daughters are volleyball players.

00:23:19.000 So I'm actually a travel volleyball dad.

00:23:21.000 I'm always in the stands.

00:23:22.000 I've learned a lot of volleyball chants.

00:23:24.000 You know, just trying to keep up with what everyone's doing in the stands.

00:23:28.000 So I'm a volleyball dad.

00:23:29.000 It's a lot of fun.

00:23:31.000 I have, let's see, where do I start?

00:23:35.000 I have a canine that I do some canine training.

00:23:38.000 A very protective Dutch Shepherd dog that, that I could sick on like pretty much anyone,

00:23:44.000 which is really cool.

00:23:45.000 But outside of his aggression, he's also incredibly obedient.

00:23:49.000 And so that's a hobby of mine is doing obedience training and protection training with my dog.

00:23:54.000 I want to get into detection training is basically being able to sniff out guns and sniff out drugs

00:23:59.000 and all that type of stuff.

00:24:01.000 I think that'd be cool to learn.

00:24:03.000 Or just sniff anything out.

00:24:05.000 Like I can give him a scent of a person and he can go fighting that person.

00:24:08.000 That'd be really cool.

00:24:09.000 That's one of the next steps for him.

00:24:11.000 I'm into firearms training.

00:24:12.000 I really love AR-15s, AK-47s, pistols.

00:24:16.000 I love that type of stuff.

00:24:18.000 A lot of my friends are military.

00:24:19.000 So I take courses every once in a while where we'll go out and I'll learn how to clear rooms and little stuff like that.

00:24:26.000 What else am I into?

00:24:28.000 I'm just a good friend to my friends.

00:24:30.000 That's the type of stuff I like doing.

00:24:32.000 I really do like going out on weekends, Fridays and Saturdays.

00:24:35.000 Those are your nights?

00:24:36.000 Yeah, Fridays and Saturday nights.

00:24:37.000 I like to go out with my friends.

00:24:39.000 I should be too old for that by now, but I still enjoy having a good time.

00:24:42.000 I'm always buying people drinks and stuff like that.

00:24:44.000 If you're out, you feel like you're having a lame time, I'll come up to you and I'll just give you a drink for no reason.

00:24:50.000 I'm one of those type of guys.

00:24:51.000 You're the life of the party.

00:24:52.000 I'm the life of the party.

00:24:53.000 I'm the life of the party, yeah.

00:24:54.000 I just like seeing people happy.

00:24:55.000 I love community as well.

00:24:57.000 I love feeling like I know my whole town.

00:25:00.000 So, you know, grocery store lady or mailman, whoever you may be, if I see you, if we're passing each other on a weekly basis, I'm going to learn your name. 0.99

00:25:07.000 Damn. 0.99

00:25:08.000 And we're going to become homies. 1.00

00:25:09.000 I love that.

00:25:10.000 So that's just the type of guy I am.

00:25:11.000 That's the type of stuff I'm into.

00:25:12.000 Just a pretty basic guy.

00:25:13.000 I train.

00:25:14.000 I chill.

00:25:15.000 I just kick it with my community members.

00:25:18.000 That's dope. 0.93

00:25:19.000 Yeah.

00:25:20.000 All right.

00:25:21.000 We've got a couple more questions here.

00:25:22.000 All righty.

00:25:23.000 They want to know what are your thoughts on the whole Dana White memes.

00:25:25.000 Dana White?

00:25:26.000 You see Dana White, Jon Jones, pound for pound, goat.

00:25:28.000 We'd be glazing each other up nicely, huh?

00:25:30.000 Yes.

00:25:31.000 Yes.

00:25:32.000 I see it all the time.

00:25:33.000 What are your thoughts on the whole memes with Dana?

00:25:34.000 I love it, bro.

00:25:35.000 I love it.

00:25:36.000 I love it.

00:25:37.000 You know, it's funny.

00:25:38.000 At this point, I can tell that Dana, he definitely knows what he's doing.

00:25:42.000 Yeah. 0.99

00:25:43.000 He doesn't give a shit. 1.00

00:25:44.000 He does. 1.00

00:25:45.000 Yeah.

00:25:46.000 He sends me half of the videos.

00:25:47.000 I'm like, that's a little suspect, Dana.

00:25:48.000 I don't know why you sent me this one, you know?

00:25:51.000 But it's great, bro.

00:25:52.000 Who wouldn't want that type of relationship with your boss? 0.85

00:25:55.000 Yeah.

00:25:56.000 He's awesome.

00:25:57.000 He's a good guy.

00:25:58.000 Dude, he changed my life.

00:25:59.000 Yeah.

00:26:00.000 Completely changed my life.

00:26:01.000 You know, like, I feel like with my past and some of the trouble I used to get into,

00:26:03.000 I would have been fired from most jobs.

00:26:05.000 You know, Dana has given me so many chances.

00:26:07.000 And I think he's always believed in the man that I could become.

00:26:11.000 And I'm really grateful to prove him right today with the man that I've become.

00:26:15.000 Yeah.

00:26:16.000 And becoming.

00:26:17.000 It's awesome, man.

00:26:18.000 The memes are funny.

00:26:19.000 And, dude, he's the best, dude.

00:26:21.000 Dana White is the absolute best.

00:26:23.000 And my goal is to prove him right.

00:26:25.000 You know, if he's gonna stick his neck out there and call me the best, I have to train

00:26:29.000 hard.

00:26:30.000 I have to believe that I'm the best.

00:26:31.000 I have to put on great performances.

00:26:32.000 I have to carry myself like a gentleman and like a man and prove him right.

00:26:37.000 I love it.

00:26:38.000 I love it.

00:26:39.000 Alright.

00:26:40.000 Let's see.

00:26:41.000 Do you have any favorite artists or musicians?

00:26:43.000 Your top three all time.

00:26:44.000 It could be whoever you wanna.

00:26:46.000 Oh, man.

00:26:47.000 Favorite artists or musicians.

00:26:49.000 Man, I'm really not like, I'm not a big music guy.

00:26:52.000 I've always just kinda listened to what's on the radio.

00:26:54.000 What about like movies or shows or anything like that?

00:26:57.000 Entertainment?

00:26:58.000 I love the movie 300.

00:26:59.000 I watched that movie in college like at least 50 times.

00:27:03.000 There were 300 Spartans.

00:27:04.000 Yeah.

00:27:05.000 I really love that movie.

00:27:06.000 I guess that's, yeah, bro.

00:27:09.000 I'm like.

00:27:10.000 Yeah, you're outside.

00:27:12.000 You don't even like really watch all the entertainment stuff.

00:27:15.000 No, not really.

00:27:16.000 Not really.

00:27:17.000 I think the last concert I went to was Chris Brown concert.

00:27:20.000 Oh, wow.

00:27:21.000 Bro, I was actually really impressed with Chris Brown.

00:27:23.000 Nah, he's really talented.

00:27:24.000 He's been around for a long time, you know.

00:27:26.000 I mean, back in 2005 when I was in high school.

00:27:29.000 I mean, he had bangers and now he's still throwing out bangers.

00:27:32.000 I watched one of his concerts recently and I was fortunate enough to be on stage.

00:27:36.000 And I was just a few feet away from him.

00:27:38.000 And I was watching the dude and he knew every lyric to all those songs.

00:27:41.000 Yeah.

00:27:42.000 Years and decades of songs and those dance moves that he had.

00:27:45.000 And being able to just keep his cardio up to perform all that.

00:27:48.000 That's crazy, right?

00:27:49.000 Yeah, I really respected him as an artist.

00:27:51.000 He was doing cartwheels and backflips and hitting high notes.

00:27:54.000 I'm like, dude, pretty impressive.

00:27:55.000 Nah, Chris is very, very talented.

00:27:57.000 Do you know him?

00:27:58.000 Yeah, I know him personally.

00:27:59.000 Yeah.

00:28:00.000 He's a really good guy too.

00:28:01.000 Super, super cool.

00:28:02.000 Have you had him before?

00:28:03.000 I saw him at the sphere.

00:28:04.000 The UFC event.

00:28:05.000 He was there.

00:28:06.000 At the sphere.

00:28:07.000 No security, just him and his girlfriend.

00:28:09.000 And super approachable.

00:28:10.000 He sat there and talked to people and was really generous with his time.

00:28:14.000 I became a bigger fan of him at that moment.

00:28:16.000 Yeah.

00:28:17.000 He's also overcome some serious things in his life and the way that he's been able to keep

00:28:21.000 his head forward and just become a better human being and things like that.

00:28:25.000 I respect that about him.

00:28:26.000 Of course.

00:28:27.000 All right.

00:28:28.000 Well, I think that's enough for the questions, but we do have a couple of challenges.

00:28:30.000 Oh boy.

00:28:31.000 Some physical challenges.

00:28:32.000 Okay.

00:28:33.000 What do you got for me?

00:28:34.000 You got a little body suit over there that I'm going to throw on.

00:28:35.000 I want you to maybe give me a one, two.

00:28:37.000 Look, I took a kick from Alex. 0.98

00:28:41.000 I got to take a kick from you. 1.00

00:28:43.000 All right. 0.93

00:28:44.000 Listen.

00:28:45.000 So do we have a waiver?

00:28:46.000 We can sign it.

00:28:47.000 Well, I want to ask you a question.

00:28:48.000 I did see a video.

00:28:49.000 I don't know if it's true or not true.

00:28:51.000 You kicked a kid or not a kid, but you kicked somebody because they're like, kick me, kick 0.95

00:28:55.000 me.

00:28:56.000 And they were in the hospital.

00:28:57.000 I saw that as well.

00:28:58.000 Was that real or no?

00:28:59.000 I don't think I kicked him that hard for him to bruise that way.

00:29:02.000 He must've gone somewhere and had his boys bruise him up pretty good and then posted.

00:29:06.000 I mean, I kicked decently hard.

00:29:08.000 I know you do.

00:29:09.000 I don't know if it was hospital worthy heart.

00:29:11.000 I've never sent teammates to the hospital in the past and I've kicked a lot of people over

00:29:15.000 the years.

00:29:16.000 So I think he fabricated that a little bit, but hey, it made me look good.

00:29:19.000 So thank you.

00:29:20.000 Well, look, we have, we have a fight.

00:29:21.000 You have a fight tomorrow coming up.

00:29:23.000 I don't want to put you in too much physical against me.

00:29:26.000 You know, I want to like get you hurt or anything like that.

00:29:28.000 Look at you Superman. 0.81

00:29:29.000 Okay.

00:29:30.000 So just choose one. 0.91

00:29:31.000 Would you rather kick me or just give me a jab or a couple of jabs up to you? 1.00

00:29:35.000 Let's see. 1.00

00:29:36.000 I think I'd rather kick you. 0.99

00:29:39.000 They'd take me very long. 0.99

00:29:41.000 All right.

00:29:42.000 Now, Alex, you know, obviously, you know, it was hard for me to understand him.

00:29:45.000 He doesn't speak that well in English.

00:29:47.000 Yeah, he's learning.

00:29:48.000 Alex is learning.

00:29:49.000 I just spoke to him recently.

00:29:50.000 But, you know, I had to make sure that he knew a certain percentage to kick me.

00:29:53.000 Oh.

00:29:54.000 So can we make our way up?

00:29:55.000 How about this?

00:29:56.000 You kick me 5% and we go up like every 5% intervals until I tap.

00:29:58.000 That sounds good, but I have a kick that I really like doing.

00:30:01.000 It's called the spinning back kick.

00:30:02.000 What's that?

00:30:03.000 It's pretty much where I'll like.

00:30:04.000 Show me first.

00:30:05.000 Yeah.

00:30:06.000 Okay.

00:30:07.000 Stand there.

00:30:08.000 Stand there.

00:30:09.000 I'm not going to hit you.

00:30:10.000 Oh, you're not?

00:30:11.000 No, I'm not going to hit you.

00:30:12.000 You'll tell me when you're going to hit me?

00:30:13.000 I'm going to tell you where.

00:30:14.000 Okay. 0.83

00:30:15.000 I'm not going to come around and kick you like that.

00:30:16.000 Where? 1.00

00:30:17.000 In the stomach.

00:30:18.000 In the stomach.

00:30:19.000 Huh?

00:30:20.000 Well, you'll have the belly pad on, so you'll be fine. 0.83

00:30:21.000 You'll be totally fine.

00:30:22.000 Promise?

00:30:23.000 I promise.

00:30:24.000 It's not going to hurt?

00:30:25.000 I promise.

00:30:26.000 Is it going to hurt?

00:30:27.000 No.

00:30:28.000 Okay.

00:30:29.000 All right.

00:30:30.000 I promise you.

00:30:31.000 Oh, this is your son?

00:30:32.000 Yeah.

00:30:33.000 Oh, man.

00:30:34.000 You didn't tell me Chuck Norris is your dad.

00:30:37.000 I'm a younger person.

00:30:38.000 Yeah, fair enough.

00:30:39.000 He was 90.

00:30:40.000 Yeah.

00:30:41.000 All right.

00:30:42.000 Hey, so how do you feel for burning this talent right here?

00:30:45.000 I'm very proud.

00:30:46.000 He's a good boy.

00:30:47.000 Yeah, people love him.

00:30:48.000 My son's a very good boy.

00:30:49.000 He's a good soul.

00:30:50.000 I'm a new fan of his, but after today I'm going to be an official fan.

00:30:53.000 He's a good boy.

00:30:54.000 He's a good boy.

00:30:55.000 He's a good soul.

00:30:56.000 I'm a new fan of his.

00:30:57.000 But after today I'm going to be an official fan.

00:31:00.000 I'll be following you forever.

00:31:01.000 And I want to see, I'm learning what all the hype is about, man.

00:31:04.000 You seem very genuine.

00:31:05.000 We'll have to do a stream live one day.

00:31:07.000 I love that.

00:31:08.000 Yeah.

00:31:09.000 We'll do it one day.

00:31:10.000 That'd be dope. 0.98

00:31:11.000 Your next fight or something like that.

00:31:12.000 That'd be dope. 0.98

00:31:13.000 Yeah.

00:31:14.000 Hey, listen.

00:31:15.000 You're calling it now.

00:31:16.000 Yeah, I'm calling it now.

00:31:17.000 I'm calling it now.

00:31:18.000 No retirement.

00:31:19.000 Exactly.

00:31:20.000 So where are you from originally?

00:31:21.000 Well, I was born in Florida, but I was raised in California.

00:31:22.000 California.

00:31:23.000 Yeah.

00:31:24.000 What about you?

00:31:25.000 Chicago, right?

00:31:26.000 No, I was born in Rochester.

00:31:27.000 Really?

00:31:28.000 But I've been in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a little while now.

00:31:30.000 You like it there?

00:31:31.000 I love it, bro.

00:31:32.000 We've got some of the best Mexican food, some of the best people.

00:31:34.000 It's just awesome.

00:31:35.000 Yeah.

00:31:36.000 Yeah.

00:31:37.000 Me and the Latinos are like this.

00:31:38.000 We're right here.

00:31:39.000 We're tight.

00:31:40.000 Yes.

00:31:41.000 Those are my people.

00:31:42.000 Oh my God.

00:31:43.000 All right.

00:31:44.000 Talk me through it.

00:31:45.000 All right.

00:31:46.000 I will not hurt you.

00:31:47.000 I will not hurt you.

00:31:48.000 I absolutely will not hurt you.

00:31:49.000 Pretty much, I'll just come up.

00:31:51.000 Sometimes I may jump at you, but all you got to do is just try to brace yourself on impact.

00:31:57.000 So just when I touch you, just let your abs.

00:32:02.000 Flex my abs?

00:32:03.000 Yeah.

00:32:04.000 Just try to tighten your core.

00:32:05.000 Tighten your core.

00:32:06.000 Tighten your core.

00:32:07.000 Yeah, exactly.

00:32:08.000 Just like a squat.

00:32:09.000 Oh, I'm so scared, man.

00:32:10.000 Five percent?

00:32:11.000 Five percent.

00:32:12.000 Okay.

00:32:13.000 Am I going to fall you think?

00:32:14.000 No, you won't. 1.00

00:32:15.000 Oh shit. 0.99

00:32:16.000 Not from five percent? 1.00

00:32:17.000 I wouldn't hurt you.

00:32:18.000 Okay.

00:32:19.000 All right.

00:32:20.000 You ready?

00:32:21.000 Oh my God.

00:32:22.000 I felt that.

00:32:23.000 That was about five percent.

00:32:24.000 I felt that.

00:32:25.000 That was five percent.

00:32:26.000 That was five percent.

00:32:27.000 That was five percent.

00:32:28.000 No.

00:32:29.000 That's what you said.

00:32:30.000 Hey, trust me.

00:32:31.000 I've seen a hundred percent.

00:32:32.000 Oh my God.

00:32:33.000 That's only five.

00:32:34.000 That's only five?

00:32:35.000 Where'd you feel it?

00:32:36.000 Where'd you feel it?

00:32:37.000 Bro.

00:32:38.000 Right here on the side?

00:32:39.000 Bro, I felt my head instantly.

00:32:40.000 Hey.

00:32:41.000 And that's in your own mind.

00:32:43.000 Kevin.

00:32:44.000 That's your mind.

00:32:45.000 Kevin.

00:32:46.000 No.

00:32:47.000 You're not doing it.

00:32:48.000 I need to leave.

00:32:50.000 Jordan.

00:32:51.000 Dad?

00:32:52.000 I got it.

00:32:53.000 You want to do it, Dad?

00:32:54.000 You want me to do it?

00:32:55.000 Let's go.

00:32:56.000 Let's go.

00:32:57.000 Come on.

00:32:58.000 All right.

00:32:59.000 Five percent.

00:33:00.000 You could do it.

00:33:01.000 I'll have a little air out of 50?

00:33:02.000 Fifteen.

00:33:03.000 Not 50.

00:33:04.000 You think you can do it?

00:33:09.000 Come on, Aiden.

00:33:10.000 One more.

00:33:11.000 I'll do one more.

00:33:12.000 One more.

00:33:13.000 All right.

00:33:14.000 I felt about 15 percent.

00:33:15.000 He can take it.

00:33:16.000 Fifteen?

00:33:17.000 No.

00:33:18.000 Ten.

00:33:19.000 Right in the middle.

00:33:20.000 All right.

00:33:21.000 There we go.

00:33:22.000 Here, step.

00:33:23.000 Come closer.

00:33:24.000 I didn't want to spin on this little crack here.

00:33:27.000 I saw a teammate break his toe.

00:33:29.000 He spent just right.

00:33:31.000 All right.

00:33:32.000 Here we go.

00:33:33.000 Ready?

00:33:34.000 Oh! 0.60

00:33:35.000 That was crazy.

00:33:36.000 Somebody got smelling salts. 0.97

00:33:37.000 Get him up.

00:33:38.000 Get him up.

00:33:39.000 All right, bro.

00:33:40.000 You got it.

00:33:41.000 You got it.

00:33:42.000 You got it.

00:33:43.000 You got it. 1.00

00:33:44.000 Good shit, bro. 1.00

00:33:45.000 Good shit. 1.00

00:33:46.000 Good shit, bro. 1.00

00:33:47.000 Good shit. 1.00

00:33:48.000 You feel the power. 1.00

00:33:49.000 I'll tell you that.

00:33:50.000 And that was nothing.

00:33:51.000 He could do way more.

00:33:52.000 Oh yeah.

00:33:53.000 That was actually 10 percent.

00:33:54.000 Yeah.

00:33:55.000 I think the spinning back kick is one of the most powerful kicks in MMA.

00:34:00.000 Definitely.

00:34:01.000 When you think about just like anatomy or whatever, like if you think about the horse, right?

00:34:06.000 A horse is, you don't want to get kicked by a horse.

00:34:08.000 And so to put your back to someone and just put so much in there, I think it hurts way more.

00:34:15.000 I mean, round kicks, I've heard stories of people getting their forearms broken, catching

00:34:19.000 round kicks in probably.

00:34:20.000 Oh, you catch the round kick?

00:34:22.000 Well, if you try to block a round kick and your forearms aren't conditioned, you can really

00:34:28.000 hurt your forearms, fracture your forearms, things like that.

00:34:30.000 Things like that.

00:34:31.000 What's the hardest, like, what's the hardest you think to like receive?

00:34:34.000 Like when you were fighting, like what was the hardest punch or like kick you've received?

00:34:39.000 The hardest punch I received was from a guy named Sugar Rashad Evans.

00:34:42.000 He caught me with an overhand right.

00:34:44.000 It was the same exact punch he punched Chuck Liddell with and dropped him.

00:34:47.000 Caught me with the same punch.

00:34:49.000 It wasn't that he, it wasn't that he like hit me so hard.

00:34:54.000 It was the speed of the punch.

00:34:56.000 You know, it was, it was almost like he, he just like, it was just like, I mean, you

00:35:00.000 can like tighten up and like, or you can just like let your arm hang loose and just, just

00:35:05.000 let it swing.

00:35:06.000 Like almost like an overhand slap.

00:35:08.000 Bro, he hit me so fast.

00:35:10.000 I had no clue what it was, but my, he just caught me right at the edge of my chin.

00:35:15.000 And I remember my feet, my feet like came out from underneath me and I, I couldn't control

00:35:19.000 my legs.

00:35:20.000 And now I like, I like refocused and I was able to stand again. 0.99

00:35:23.000 Holy shit. 0.98

00:35:24.000 Bro, that was, that was by far the fastest I've ever been hit. 0.99

00:35:28.000 And I thank God it didn't become unconscious because I should have been, I got a great chin

00:35:33.000 and that's something that, that I really can't take credit for.

00:35:36.000 It's just something you're born with.

00:35:37.000 Yeah.

00:35:38.000 Yeah.

00:35:39.000 No, that's, that's crazy.

00:35:40.000 So you, you think like a, on a regular, like not a regular, but like somewhat.

00:35:44.000 Yeah.

00:35:45.000 I would say like a regular fighter in a, in like the UFC.

00:35:48.000 They would have probably been out from that.

00:35:49.000 A lot.

00:35:50.000 A lot of people would have been knocked out unconscious.

00:35:51.000 Yeah.

00:35:52.000 Um, I mean, some guys just have chins and some guys don't.

00:35:55.000 One thing that I see on the internet sometimes is people getting punched in the face for training.

00:36:00.000 They'll sit there and their coach will be tapping them on the jaw. 0.98

00:36:04.000 And I don't know what that's supposed to do, but it's the dumbest thing that I've ever seen. 0.99

00:36:08.000 Guys, stop doing that. 1.00

00:36:10.000 That's so bad for your brain.

00:36:12.000 And the truth is we all have a certain amount of punches that we're, that we can take.

00:36:17.000 And eventually your ability to take punches will go away.

00:36:20.000 So there is no such thing as training your chin.

00:36:23.000 What you're doing is decreasing your ability to take a punch.

00:36:26.000 All right.

00:36:27.000 My first ever X vlog.

00:36:28.000 That's dope. 0.93
