Adin Live - The TRUTH about iShowSpeed..

00:00:00.000 I'm like, yo, this is really f***ing weird. I'm not f***ing this kid at all. I don't f***ing this kid at all. 0.93

00:00:05.180 He was just weird, wasn't talking, kind of attitude-y, wasn't f***ing him at all. 0.97

00:00:14.000 iShowSpeed could be the fastest-growing YouTube streamer in history.

00:00:18.000 He is now sitting at over 4 million subscribers, and just one year ago, he had 10,000.

00:00:23.160 The 17-year-old Cincinnati, Ohio native has dominated the platform.

00:00:27.060 Even at one point, gaining 1 million subscribers in about 6 days.

00:00:32.100 He has built some sort of a toxic and high-stress community that, at times, can push him to his limits.

00:00:37.860 But this may not be all his fault.

00:00:39.540 I mean, after all, live streaming in general can attract some of the worst viewers,

00:00:43.640 pushing streamers to lash out and react in ways that don't represent them very well.

00:00:47.920 When it comes to speed, the line between what's real and what isn't is so paper-thin

00:00:52.340 that sometimes it feels like you're not even watching a real person.

00:00:55.540 But rather someone playing a character.

00:00:58.860 Speed started his YouTube channel in late 2017, uploading NBA 2K and Fortnite highlights.

00:01:04.160 One year later, he began live streaming himself playing Fortnite, but didn't really stay too consistent with it.

00:01:09.480 It wasn't until April of 2020 when he got fully committed to live streaming,

00:01:13.080 with a face cam and interacting with about 5 viewers.

00:01:16.380 His game of choice, NBA 2K20.

00:01:18.600 I started the video by saying Speed is 17 years old, but his age has been a bit of a mystery for some time. 0.98

00:01:23.540 I don't know how to call him fine as fuck, but he's 17, chat. 0.97

00:01:26.160 Chat, I'm not banned, bro. 0.99

00:01:27.280 Think about it, chat.

00:01:27.900 If we could watch the Jiddy on video, we can't.

00:01:30.200 Like, bro, L chat.

00:01:31.420 Just grab my L chat, bro.

00:01:32.800 I ain't gonna lie. 1.00

00:01:33.560 This chat is just stupid as fuck. 1.00

00:01:35.360 Y'all are dumb as fuck, bro. 1.00

00:01:38.460 We're not watching a bit, bro. 1.00

00:01:39.960 Like, come on, bro.

00:01:40.860 T-R. 0.98

00:01:41.480 T-R. 0.98

00:01:41.840 When he first started streaming, a person asked him in his chat what his age was.

00:01:44.960 Tell me y'all.

00:01:45.380 How old are you, bro? 1.00

00:01:49.200 Damn, they're 16, bro. 0.99

00:01:50.720 He was reluctant to give him a straight answer. 0.99

00:01:52.680 It's fairly common for people on the internet to not want to give their age.

00:01:55.620 It's also common for young kids to tell people that they are older than they really are.

00:01:59.140 I know when I was 13 on Call of Duty Modern Warfare, I would brag about being 15, thinking that that was so cool.

00:02:04.220 The only reason why this matters is because very often in 2021,

00:02:07.440 Speed did e-dates with Aiden Ross and various influencers where he tells girls that he is 19,

00:02:12.320 so he will have a better chance at scoring a date with them.

00:02:14.580 Obviously misleading.

00:02:15.620 Yo! 1.00

00:02:16.080 No, no, no.

00:02:16.440 Don't show that.

00:02:16.840 It's like, yeah.

00:02:18.500 Oh my gosh, she lied about her age.

00:02:20.720 When girls lie about the age, it's just like, yeah. 1.00

00:02:23.600 Oh my gosh, she lied about her age, bro.

00:02:27.460 All right, let me get off this app, bro.

00:02:28.780 But in spring of 2020, 15-year-old Aisho Speed was laying down the groundwork for his streaming career.

00:02:34.960 Double check and make sure you're subscribed.

00:02:36.220 Why not hit the like button for me?

00:02:38.380 And make sure you're drinking water.

00:02:40.060 He stayed very consistent on NBA 2K20.

00:02:42.440 He streamed every day and tried to get tapped into the community.

00:02:44.880 He was lighthearted, funny, and happy.

00:02:46.740 If he took an L, he would get a little stressed, maybe have a little freak out,

00:02:50.320 but nothing more than a typical gamer.

00:02:52.040 He was able to play with a bigger streamer, and he played really well.

00:02:54.920 Got the shout-out from him.

00:02:56.500 For my son, Aisho Speed, the first time that I had played with him. 0.98

00:02:59.900 Damn, he played with flu? 0.97

00:03:00.960 Nothing but great. 0.99

00:03:01.940 This got him a couple more viewers, maybe around 10 or so on average.

00:03:05.120 Unfortunately, NBA 2K kind of breeds toxicity.

00:03:08.860 Kind of like Call of Duty Modern Warfare lobbies.

00:03:11.420 You can walk around a public gym and challenge random people to pick up games.

00:03:15.000 Usually, the loser will just end up screaming into the mic all kinds of heinous things that

00:03:18.980 are totally unnecessary.

00:03:20.360 I mean, games are competitive, and trash talk is inevitable.

00:03:23.040 But this game, for some reason, brings out the worst of people.

00:03:26.780 Bro, how many of y'all actually played 2K, bro?

00:03:29.140 Oh, God, this game makes me like a... 1.00

00:03:30.800 Bro, it makes me seem like a fucking monster, bro. 1.00

00:03:34.540 Bro. 0.99

00:03:35.820 And in the early days, we can see it getting the best of speed.

00:03:38.920 Why don't y'all go on this stream right now and say, TJ, you's a...

00:03:41.500 He spent the summer of 2020 grinding the game and trying to build up his viewership.

00:03:48.800 He was averaging around 20 viewers and would eventually amass 1,000 subscribers, still

00:03:53.160 keeping that positive energy, interacting with his chat, and getting to know them.

00:03:57.060 He would only get toxic when other people from the community would come into his stream

00:04:00.720 and try to mess with him.

00:04:01.920 They would call him names and challenge him to games that he didn't want to play.

00:04:04.960 Around this time, he came up with a winning strategy for growth on YouTube.

00:04:08.180 He would do a 2-hour live stream, then post a 6-10 minute clip of the stream as a YouTube

00:04:12.840 video with a better title, only posting the ones labeled Funny Reaction, because those

00:04:17.280 got the best views.

00:04:18.080 They were basically just the buildup of him freaking out, and what caused the freak out.

00:04:23.020 This was a great growth strategy for him, and he stayed consistent with this throughout

00:04:26.020 summer of 2020.

00:04:27.160 The Rage Highlight videos were becoming a staple part of his brand and was slowly becoming

00:04:31.060 the thing that people wanted to see the most from him.

00:04:36.280 He streamed and uploaded every single day for months without fail.

00:04:40.480 In October 2020, he got banned from streaming, because YouTube thought he was 12, and you

00:04:45.540 need to be 13 to stream.

00:04:46.560 So basically, I can't stream no more, y'all, for a little minute, y'all, because of that

00:04:50.500 last live stream, y'all.

00:04:51.760 So I would not be streaming no more.

00:04:53.460 This would be the first of many, many videos where he tells his chat that he can't stream

00:04:57.700 anymore.

00:04:58.140 The ban would only last one day, and he would be back the next day because YouTube was

00:05:01.920 obviously in the wrong.

00:05:02.900 NBA 2K21 came out, and the community hated it.

00:05:05.560 Aiden Ross was a big part of the game's top players leaving and moving on to different

00:05:09.380 things.

00:05:09.880 There was still a demand out there for 2K21 content.

00:05:12.720 Plus, Speed would play as a unique position, a post-scorer.

00:05:16.140 Most content creators didn't play as a position.

00:05:18.020 Everyone knows if you were a post-scorer.

00:05:18.860 He figured out a way to be different.

00:05:19.780 Wait, why did I say, Pammy, Pammy, what?

00:05:22.440 Everyone knows if you were a post-scorer.

00:05:23.660 He figured out a way to be different.

00:05:25.840 All right.

00:05:26.580 Hey, Josh, I was saying, can we play Mimic?

00:05:28.060 You want to finish it one sooner or not?

00:05:29.600 You don't want to finish it at all, or what's going on with that?

00:05:32.580 Yeah, we can finish it soon, not today, but I definitely want to finish it.

00:05:36.120 Okay.

00:05:36.540 What's up?

00:05:37.100 I asked you to talk to Flight.

00:05:38.360 I think Flight blocked my number.

00:05:39.560 Just, I need you to talk to him.

00:05:40.460 All right, I'll talk to him.

00:05:44.580 All right, bro.

00:05:45.060 Thank you.

00:05:45.580 All right, that's what?

00:05:46.420 What? 1.00

00:05:50.700 Go fuck yourself, Josh. 1.00

00:05:53.220 That's why you're a, ooh, I want to say it so bad. 1.00

00:05:58.120 And that's what got him attention.

00:05:59.640 At the turn of the year, things started to change a little bit.

00:06:02.080 He was still a bright, positive, happy-go-lucky guy,

00:06:04.600 but his rage moments were getting more and more apparent.

00:06:07.040 Now he even had a person consistently commenting on his videos

00:06:09.900 timestamping when he would have a freakout,

00:06:12.080 which was making the audience just skip to those moments

00:06:14.320 instead of watching him play normally.

00:06:16.740 Another ban.

00:06:18.000 It's a warning, so basically, I don't know if I'm going to do Omegu no more.

00:06:21.780 This video got him the most views that he ever got thus far.

00:06:24.300 And again, he was back the next day.

00:06:26.000 You'll notice this become a trend.

00:06:27.620 For the first half of 2021, Speed just kept on being consistent with streaming.

00:06:31.020 He experimented with horror games and Fortnite, but 2K was still his go-to.

00:06:34.320 One thing that started happening that still does to this day

00:06:37.100 is Speed being a victim of DDoS attacks.

00:06:39.220 Basically, hackers who get- 0.99

00:06:41.060 Bro, and I tell this motherfucker, bro, 0.99

00:06:42.300 all he's got to do is just use a VPN, man. 1.00

00:06:44.520 A VPN of hell.

00:06:46.080 His IP address, either by knowing where he lives in real life,

00:06:49.280 or maybe he somehow leaked that information,

00:06:52.040 they have the ability to overload his internet,

00:06:54.060 so his stream lags super hard, making him unable to stream.

00:06:57.300 Every single time this would happen,

00:06:58.680 Speed would run to make his broken heart videos of him very upset.

00:07:01.520 Speed!

00:07:01.840 How do I change my IP?

00:07:03.100 I cannot stream.

00:07:04.460 Whoever is booting me, please stop.

00:07:06.140 Hit me up on Twitter or IG.

00:07:07.100 If it isn't obvious why I call them broken heart videos,

00:07:11.440 because he puts a little emoji in there every time,

00:07:13.440 he would beg these people to stop.

00:07:15.040 It seems like at this time, he couldn't really handle the trolling.

00:07:17.720 Rushing to post these broken heart videos are obviously going to fuel even more attacks.

00:07:22.200 It makes them feel like they won.

00:07:23.620 Or his responses were for comedic purposes,

00:07:26.320 and he knows he's going to get attention,

00:07:28.300 growing his fan base, and following.

00:07:30.120 But the broken heart videos aren't just to address hackers.

00:07:33.140 He would also address his trolls.

00:07:34.480 For example, he posted a video proving to his chat that he takes showers. 0.96

00:07:39.080 As I can see right here, I'm showing y'all poop right now.

00:07:41.740 I don't want to hear no more hate comments about me taking a shower no more.

00:07:45.540 And this other one where he says his real name.

00:07:49.020 It's my name.

00:07:50.000 My real name is Juwan.

00:07:51.080 It's not Frank.

00:07:51.780 Y'all know what's my name?

00:07:53.480 Juwan.

00:07:54.200 Which I don't think is his real name.

00:07:56.060 This video has 5 million views. 0.99

00:07:57.820 What the fuck? 1.00

00:07:58.440 His comments are about his fan base being toxic and that he deserves... 1.00

00:08:01.440 What?

00:08:14.940 No way.

00:08:16.060 Wow, that is.

00:08:20.120 That's like...

00:08:20.660 Besides his songs, that's his most popular video.

00:08:24.420 Name reveal. 0.99

00:08:25.280 What the fuck? 0.99

00:08:27.180 I've never even seen that video before. 1.00

00:08:28.660 That's crazy.

00:08:29.940 Now, I know Shake.

00:08:30.460 I know Shake is...

00:08:31.880 I'm saying besides the songs.

00:08:34.000 That's insane. 1.00

00:08:35.120 What the fuck? 1.00

00:08:36.840 Better. 1.00

00:08:37.500 But some people just feel very confused by this.

00:08:40.420 Live streaming can get out of hand with trolls.

00:08:42.280 But if someone gets pushed to crying just for people wanting to know their real name...

00:08:47.360 Or they feel the need to prove that they actually take showers...

00:08:51.060 Is Pammy songs real?

00:08:52.020 No, bro.

00:08:52.560 Obviously, it's not real.

00:08:55.420 Go look at her Instagram profile.

00:08:57.080 That's all I gotta say.

00:08:58.380 Leads some people to believe that you may not be fit for this career.

00:09:02.140 Or again, Speed is trolling everyone back.

00:09:04.760 But he gets sympathy from his chat because he's very good at making this seem real.

00:09:08.480 The video blows up and gets likes, views, and subs.

00:09:12.300 Then he goes back to streaming the next day with tons of new viewership.

00:09:16.020 Never addresses the situation that happened the day before.

00:09:18.920 And then the cycle repeats again a couple weeks later.

00:09:21.120 It's a very strange middle ground where people can't tell if he's actually upset by these things.

00:09:25.860 Or if he's on some 600 IQ marketing strategy.

00:09:28.900 So now, let me ask you what you think.

00:09:30.780 Look how mad he gets at this comment.

00:09:32.640 You probably think that salad dressing is spicy, bro.

00:09:35.480 What are you talking about?

00:09:37.120 Bruh, like, what is it?

00:09:38.020 Bruh, you talking about salad dressing?

00:09:39.500 What are you talking about?

00:09:41.060 Obviously, this is a harmless troll comment.

00:09:43.740 But do you think he's genuinely mad about this?

00:09:46.040 Or do you think he just uses it as an excuse to rage and freak out?

00:09:49.540 He's a genius, bruh.

00:09:50.420 Speed is a genius, bruh.

00:09:51.460 He's a literal genius. 1.00

00:09:53.520 Literally a fucking genius. 1.00

00:09:58.820 Yo. 0.99

00:10:00.700 Speed's name is Darren.

00:10:01.640 Because it hypes him.

00:10:02.240 Walk.

00:10:02.600 Yo.

00:10:03.080 And he has.

00:10:03.500 Guys, he has a picture of me. 0.98

00:10:05.440 See, they call you a liar. 0.97

00:10:06.600 Your name is Darren. 0.98

00:10:07.280 Yo. 1.00

00:10:07.900 What the fuck? 1.00

00:10:10.060 Why does he have a picture of me? 1.00

00:10:11.420 What the fuck? 1.00

00:10:12.740 Chat. 1.00

00:10:13.360 And might be a viral clip later on.

00:10:15.760 Chances are you think it's fake as well.

00:10:17.440 But sometimes these things were going too far.

00:10:19.960 Like the jacket video.

00:10:21.600 My cousin gave me this jacket.

00:10:23.100 Y'all swear to God.

00:10:23.840 I'm like. 0.99

00:10:25.900 Now I just broke this shit, bruh. 0.99

00:10:28.240 So what caused this was him losing the game. 1.00

00:10:31.600 Crying.

00:10:32.420 Physically harming himself.

00:10:33.920 Then ripping his jacket.

00:10:35.300 And basically for this entire game and really this whole stream.

00:10:38.320 His chat was saying rude things to him.

00:10:40.320 So losing the game was actually just the final straw.

00:10:43.140 But this reaction to me doesn't look very fake.

00:10:46.200 Now it's not like Speed is 100% innocent and his chat attacks him for no reason.

00:11:01.760 I made basically a whole video about this.

00:11:03.820 But real quick, let me just say that oftentimes the chat copies the behavior of the streamer.

00:11:08.640 You attract the type of people that you act like.

00:11:10.820 So judging off his Omegle streams alone. 1.00

00:11:13.260 Yeah, you killed as fuck. 1.00

00:11:15.640 Thank you. 1.00

00:11:16.360 Thank you.

00:11:16.800 Hey, if you grant me one through ten, well, dreamy.

00:11:18.660 Be completely honest.

00:11:19.600 A 7.5.

00:11:22.820 Really? 1.00

00:11:23.640 After I called you, killed as fuck. 1.00

00:11:26.340 I lied. 1.00

00:11:28.040 Nah, shut the fuck up. 1.00

00:11:30.680 I lied to you. 1.00

00:11:31.780 And you gonna give me a 7.5?

00:11:33.280 There are specific people that want to watch his content.

00:11:36.180 Generally toxic people.

00:11:37.620 Even if he's joking and he's just playing around or whatever.

00:11:40.480 He's got a little edgy sense of humor.

00:11:42.200 That's fine.

00:11:42.920 But you're still gonna attract people who just genuinely want to see you bully people and be toxic all the time.

00:11:48.640 So if you just want to have a normal stream, but the chat wants you to be toxic,

00:11:52.200 they are going to take it out on you.

00:11:53.860 Basically, his live streams from here on out would be him playing a game.

00:11:56.980 Chat torments him and says a bunch of annoying stuff.

00:11:59.260 And then he handles it well.

00:12:00.680 But about 20 minutes in, he'll have a rage moment.

00:12:03.280 Then slowly rage more and more until he loses a game and ends the stream.

00:12:06.460 Some days he handles the chat better than others.

00:12:08.740 But every stream is filled with people trying to get him to freak out.

00:12:13.760 I haven't really talked that much about his chat, but as it multiplied by the thousands, it got super toxic.

00:12:19.040 Like the things they would say to him, whether it was just in the chat or through donations, is bad.

00:12:24.440 Terrible.

00:12:25.060 So bad, I don't even feel comfortable putting clips of them in this video.

00:12:29.540 And obviously, he can't control what they say.

00:12:31.800 People will figure out a way to say terrible things, no matter what.

00:12:36.380 Is this chat worse than mine?

00:12:39.040 Yeah, it definitely is, actually. 1.00

00:12:40.420 That was a stupid question. 1.00

00:12:41.700 My chat is pretty bad, but his is really fucking bad, bro. 1.00

00:12:45.680 I ain't gonna lie. 1.00

00:12:46.580 That shit is really, really bad, bro. 1.00

00:12:48.080 Leaning into the freak outs and rage moments became a double-edged sword for him. 1.00

00:12:53.020 Because they were genuinely pissing him off some days, and other days he is just trolling them back.

00:12:57.200 Either way, it's a high-stress situation.

00:12:59.420 Blood pressure goes up, heart rate goes up.

00:13:01.640 It's not a good long-term strategy.

00:13:03.460 But speed is not even close to the first person to use freak outs as a way to grow.

00:13:06.680 Freak outs and rage moments have been a huge part of livestreams forever since video games are so frustrating.

00:13:12.100 Light reacts, Kugati, and even-

00:13:14.100 Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up.

00:13:16.240 Hold up. 1.00

00:13:19.260 What the fuck? 1.00

00:13:20.200 Wait, where's that clip? 1.00

00:13:21.200 I need to find that, bro.

00:13:22.080 Let me finish, Hassan, okay? 0.95

00:13:28.980 Let me finish.

00:13:29.560 Luckily, I have a deeper voice than you, so you can't talk over me.

00:13:32.820 So, let me finish, okay?

00:13:35.100 So, are you saying that people with the deepest voices should be allowed to talk about this?

00:13:39.080 Alibro, Alibro.

00:13:39.620 Oh, my God.

00:13:40.500 Oh, my God.

00:13:41.180 Alibro, chill.

00:13:41.860 I didn't say I'm heavier than-

00:13:43.400 Go watch it after.

00:13:44.180 Go watch it after.

00:13:45.340 Even Aiden Ross mastered the art of the freak out as a growth strategy.

00:13:48.400 Don't show that clip.

00:13:50.120 Here you go. 0.99

00:13:50.660 He could have used any fucking clip. 1.00

00:13:52.800 He used that one, bro. 0.99

00:13:54.120 Light reacts, Pugati, and even Aiden Ross mastered the art of the freak out as a growth strategy.

00:13:59.060 Anyways, for spring of 2021, he kept that same cycle of consistent streaming, rage moments,

00:14:04.080 and broken heart videos.

00:14:05.140 He had around 50,000 subscribers and was averaging more than 1,000 or so people in his chat.

00:14:09.560 His viewers started clipping his freak outs and funny moments and posting them on TikTok.

00:14:13.680 It got to the point where multiple pages have built big followings just by posting his freak outs.

00:14:18.500 And the amount of views they were getting are just-

00:14:20.660 It was staggering.

00:14:21.640 I think it also helped that Aiden Ross was peaking at this time.

00:14:24.380 He created an audience of people who like edgy humor, and live streaming in general was peaking at this time.

00:14:29.260 So Speed provided something that was similar, but in his own unique way.

00:14:32.220 In fact, he actually started a new trope that people really liked.

00:14:35.480 Barking.

00:14:36.220 Yes.

00:14:36.880 Speed started barking when he got angry.

00:14:38.460 Which were some of the most popular clips that went viral on TikTok.

00:14:44.520 The TikTok clips got a ton of new people interested in him.

00:14:47.040 It made him grow faster than ever.

00:14:48.560 In March, April, and May, he jumped from around 50,000 subscribers to 300,000 subscribers.

00:14:53.760 But it was in June where it all culminated into something huge.

00:14:57.340 He started putting his subscriber count on the screen and basing his stream around how fast he was growing because he was gaining subscribers really quickly.

00:15:04.220 On June 22nd, he did his 400k stream, where he just kind of passed time waiting for him to hit the new milestone.

00:15:10.480 When he was about to hit it, a ton of people watching started unsubscribing, hoping for a freakout, in which he did a little bit.

00:15:17.020 Then two days later, he was about to hit 500,000 subs.

00:15:19.900 It's crazy, bro.

00:15:20.140 Same thing happened.

00:15:21.140 He got close, they would unsub, he freaks out, and everyone loves it.

00:15:25.080 It became this little game, watching his sub count go up and up.

00:15:28.020 Three days later, 600k stream.

00:15:29.840 Then the next day, 700k, he went to bed and woke up on June 29th to find out that he was about to hit 800,000 overnight.

00:15:37.780 So he went live that morning.

00:15:38.920 Then later on in that same day, maybe 12 hours later, he was about to hit 1 million subscribers.

00:15:45.020 In 24 hours, he gained 300,000 subscribers.

00:15:48.740 And if you thought that was crazy, the very next day, June 30th, he hit 1.5 million subscribers.

00:15:56.740 Obviously, Speed put in a ton of work until this point.

00:15:59.460 But he also got a little lucky that thousands of, hundreds of thousands of people were eager to see his reactions as his sub count.

00:16:06.120 Brian going live, bro.

00:16:07.040 The power of TikTok is crazy.

00:16:08.500 It helped out my career, Speed's career.

00:16:10.600 Like, bro, I'm telling, that's why I tell you guys in this chat, bro.

00:16:13.040 TikTok, you guys don't know, bro.

00:16:15.580 He forgot to leave out the point where I, not even the point.

00:16:19.540 He forgot, I think he left out where Speed was, uh, no, he did mention, never mind.

00:16:24.320 But, um, I found out about, let me show you guys the clip where I first found Speed.

00:16:27.400 It's when I first found out about Speed.

00:16:29.600 He had a hit.

00:16:33.700 It was, it was May 5th.

00:16:35.160 Check this out, chat.

00:16:35.920 Let's check this out.

00:16:38.440 Humming and I know about them.

00:16:39.500 For example, there's this guy named Speedy from the 2Gate community.

00:16:41.540 I was in a stream earlier.

00:16:42.340 I always show love to people.

00:16:43.900 Like, that's one thing about me that, like, other people just have a hard time doing.

00:16:47.000 Like, I don't know who else is really big and came out of the 2Gate community.

00:16:51.220 I can name names, right?

00:16:52.600 Like, for example, like, uh, there's just so many people who I recognize.

00:16:57.480 Like, I don't, I'm not, I don't, I'm not like them because it's like I have a heart and I'm just like, I want to know who's next up and coming.

00:17:03.400 So I can help them and collaborate with them and bring them on my stream or play with them or find a way to just up and coming and I know about them.

00:17:09.620 For example.

00:17:10.440 Bro, that's crazy.

00:17:11.400 That was May 5th, bro. 0.99

00:17:13.200 That was May fucking 5th. 0.98

00:17:14.180 That was like, what, a year ago? 0.97

00:17:14.940 He, he was at, let me just check his sub count.

00:17:17.760 I don't, I don't even know.

00:17:18.820 So, um, okay, he hit 100K, like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

00:17:23.520 10 days after he hit, sorry, two weeks after he hit 200K.

00:17:28.020 So I found speed around 100K, probably like 120K, right?

00:17:33.960 And this is crazy because it's like, bro, rip the chain.

00:17:37.760 I know, bro.

00:17:38.700 I know.

00:17:40.120 But it's crazy because, bro, like, I saw it, bro.

00:17:43.280 I was like in this dude's stream and I was like, guys, I don't know what it is, bro.

00:17:46.160 So I got, you guys don't have ADHD, but for me to watch somebody stream for longer than

00:17:49.620 five minutes is rare.

00:17:50.980 And I was genuinely entertained by speed. 0.87

00:17:52.900 I was like, yo, this kid is crazy, bro. 0.99

00:17:54.300 I fucking love this kid. 0.99

00:17:55.920 And I would just, and I would be in a stream, bro. 0.99

00:17:57.600 And I'll be like, yo, this is insane.

00:17:59.000 Like, insane, bro.

00:18:01.980 It went up.

00:18:02.640 It became sort of a game.

00:18:03.860 And I just knew, bro.

00:18:04.080 And look, I just knew.

00:18:05.140 I just knew.

00:18:05.660 I knew one day I would meet him, obviously.

00:18:08.120 This dude, Ricegum, was like, yo, Aiden.

00:18:09.880 No, it was after on this time.

00:18:11.840 Ricegum was like, yo, Aiden, let's have speed come out here.

00:18:14.100 And I was like, I don't know, bro.

00:18:15.600 I don't know.

00:18:16.000 I don't know how that's going to be.

00:18:17.320 You know what I'm saying?

00:18:17.720 I don't know how that's going to be.

00:18:19.080 Like, I don't know, man.

00:18:20.600 And I was hesitant at first.

00:18:22.520 Speed comes up.

00:18:24.300 Let me just talk about my first time meeting Speed.

00:18:26.180 Speed comes to the crib.

00:18:27.620 You guys know the house. 1.00

00:18:30.040 And Speed is quiet as fuck. 0.99

00:18:31.220 I'm like, yo, this is really fucking weird. 0.99

00:18:32.660 I'm not fucking with this kid at all. 0.99

00:18:34.260 I don't fuck with this kid at all. 0.99

00:18:36.380 He was just weird. 1.00

00:18:37.080 Wasn't talking.

00:18:38.160 Kind of attitude-y. 0.98

00:18:39.600 Wasn't fucking with him at all. 0.97

00:18:40.900 Boom, right? 0.99

00:18:41.740 Next day, me and Speed were laughing, playing 2K. 0.99

00:18:45.900 Fucking eat it. 0.99

00:18:46.720 Going out to eat. 1.00

00:18:47.700 Fucking talking, like, about personal lives. 1.00

00:18:50.080 I'm fucking getting ice cream with this kid. 1.00

00:18:53.260 We would both get done streaming. 1.00

00:18:54.700 We would literally go in the car and just drive to fucking random shit, bro. 0.99

00:18:58.420 Like, in and out, late night. 0.99

00:19:00.120 Like, bro, this dude literally became my best friend, like, in overnight, bro. 1.00

00:19:03.660 It was the craziest shit of all time. 0.98

00:19:05.020 I talked to this dude literally every day, bro. 1.00

00:19:06.540 Every fucking day. 0.99

00:19:07.760 I miss this kid so much, bro. 0.99

00:19:09.160 Like, I would do anything, bro, to, like, you know what I'm saying?

00:19:11.000 Like, you know, and that's why I pray to God he gets unbaned because the content that

00:19:16.420 him and I did together, bro, was crazy.

00:19:18.000 Like, genuinely, I miss him, bro.

00:19:20.700 I miss him.

00:19:21.120 But he's going so crazy right now.

00:19:22.220 I know he's, like, peaking right now.

00:19:23.680 And I keep telling him, like, nah, bro.

00:19:24.800 Even if you do get unbaned right now, don't come out.

00:19:26.860 You know, like, don't make trips out.

00:19:28.840 Like, just stay where you are right now and just grind.

00:19:32.060 Like, he's going crazy right now.

00:19:33.980 But, man, that's my guy. 1.00

00:19:36.060 Real shit, bro. 0.99

00:19:37.000 But, guys, I honestly, before, before, before, before, before Rice invited Speed, do you 0.99

00:19:45.980 guys know who Speed linked first?

00:19:47.560 Speed actually linked Cuffham first.

00:19:49.160 I don't know how Cuffham made that happen. 0.99

00:19:51.300 He's such a fat weirdo. 0.99

00:19:53.060 You know what I'm saying? 0.99

00:19:53.840 But, yeah, bro, it was crazy.

00:19:56.840 It slowed down a little bit at the 1.5 million mark, but by the middle of July, he hit 2 million

00:20:01.500 subscribers.

00:20:02.080 Meaning that in about three weeks, he went from 300K to 2 million.

00:20:07.280 Call it luck.

00:20:08.060 Call it a meme.

00:20:08.860 Call it whatever.

00:20:09.340 It's not luck, bro.

00:20:10.440 It's not luck.

00:20:11.300 For example, people can say, like, yo, Aiden, when you met LeBron, that was luck. 0.97

00:20:15.200 Listen, when you work really hard in life, bro, when you do a lot of good shit, when 0.90

00:20:18.840 you're grinding towards your passion, your YouTube, your music career, you're going to 0.96

00:20:22.280 have moments that are lucky that are going to bless you for grinding. 1.00

00:20:25.800 And how I look at it is Speed wanted this shit really bad to a point where this motherfucker 0.99

00:20:30.020 happened to blow up overnight, literally, and keep that blow up and momentum and keep 1.00

00:20:35.960 going up with it. 0.99

00:20:36.980 And I'm happy for him because, you know, this motherfucker is different, bro. 1.00

00:20:42.160 Different. 1.00

00:20:42.520 He literally, whenever it was like, yo, Aiden's coming up so quick, this motherfucker, like, 0.99

00:20:50.100 did what I did, but, like, on TikTok, but, like, times 100. 0.99

00:20:53.680 All I go through now on TikTok is Speed.

00:20:55.780 He's like, his head, his face is like a meme on TikTok.

00:20:59.720 I can't explain it.

00:21:00.760 You guys got to get what I'm saying.

00:21:02.320 Like, so, nah, he wasn't lucky. 1.00

00:21:04.400 This shit is just pure hard work. 1.00

00:21:06.260 Whatever you want. 1.00

00:21:07.180 But at this point, he was still growing like crazy and entertaining the millions of people

00:21:11.480 that subscribed to him.

00:21:12.500 So clearly, he took advantage of the situation and maintained their interest.

00:21:16.280 After this, Speed was done with NBA 2K.

00:21:18.560 He outgrew the game so fast.

00:21:20.200 He knew that these people wanted him to be as crazy as possible all the time.

00:21:24.240 So that's what he gave them.

00:21:25.400 He also took a trip to LA to link up with Aiden Ross and many other streamers.

00:21:28.820 For some reason, watching that in-person connection just changes the viewer's perspective.

00:21:32.740 Yeah, I don't know if Speed's ever told you guys a story, but, you know,

00:21:35.460 Speed's only ever been phased by one person, one famous person.

00:21:39.000 That was me.

00:21:39.720 He said, the first time I met you, Aiden, that's why that first night I was so quiet.

00:21:42.380 I was, like, so in shock.

00:21:43.260 I was like, yo, this is really Aiden, bro.

00:21:45.140 Like, that's what he told me.

00:21:46.040 And I was like, and then the next day, I was like, he saw I was a normal person on some 0.99

00:21:49.940 non-Hollywood shit. 0.99

00:21:51.320 And he said from that point on, he met Soulja Boy and all these fucking rappers. 0.99

00:21:54.200 And he was like, yo, bro, I'm not gonna lie. 1.00

00:21:56.520 Like, this shit is normal to me. 1.00

00:21:58.920 It's just crazy. 1.00

00:22:00.860 ...respective.

00:22:01.480 It's almost like the viewer is part of the friend group.

00:22:04.060 Plus, he seemed to be a lot happier.

00:22:06.260 He wasn't giving in to the trolls, and he wasn't getting DDoS attacks kicking him offline.

00:22:10.320 When he went back home to Ohio, it was almost exclusively trolling people on Omegle,

00:22:14.500 more getting kicked offline, and more broken heart videos.

00:22:17.280 But something else huge happened.

00:22:18.720 Speed's unforeseen music career began in August of 2021.

00:22:22.100 He had a new hit single called Doody Booty, with a high-quality music video in which he

00:22:27.240 was wearing his favorite shirt, barking, and twerking with his boys.

00:22:31.160 The song was actually very well-received, which made him want to do even more music.

00:22:34.820 He would start uploading a song every month, and sometimes twice per month.

00:22:38.040 Now, with over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, tens of millions of views on YouTube,

00:22:42.800 clearly his fans are loving his music.

00:22:44.660 And truthfully, it's not that bad.

00:22:46.680 He has a lot of potential.

00:22:47.980 Definitely a lot of questionable lyrics.

00:22:49.580 I don't know if he wants to do this seriously, or if he wants to do it as a meme.

00:22:53.320 I mean, that seems to be his whole career at this point.

00:22:55.560 For all of fall 2021, he just kept doing what he normally does.

00:22:58.880 Streaming Omegle, scary games, some Fortnite, freaking out, dropping music,

00:23:02.960 which is song Shade getting over 20 million views on YouTube.

00:23:05.760 Barking, chat saying the most terrible things to him.

00:23:08.420 But the e-dates and IRL dating became something that his chat demanded.

00:23:12.500 Watching Speed interact with girls was their new favorite thing.

00:23:15.340 Probably because once the girls said something that he didn't like, or they weren't into him,

00:23:19.020 he would just bark, scream, or insult them, which is funny because literally nobody would react like that.

00:23:24.540 But one day, Aiden Ross invited him to do an e-date with Ash Cash and a ton of other big streamers.

00:23:29.020 And Speed don't find this joke very funny.

00:23:35.560 Nor do a lot of other people's fans, who don't know Speed.

00:23:38.440 Now, he got eliminated from this e-date, obviously, and he didn't like that. 0.98

00:23:42.660 Man, f*** this e-date and f*** Aiden too, bro. 1.00

00:23:44.820 God, f*** them niggas, bro. 1.00

00:23:46.280 F*** that sh**ty-ass e-date, bro. 1.00

00:23:47.700 He started to blame Ash Cash and Aiden. 1.00

00:23:49.820 And this is where I started to question a lot of those e-dates.

00:23:52.320 Do streamers actually take them seriously?

00:23:54.700 I thought they were just for entertainment.

00:23:56.700 Like, they weren't actually gonna get dates with any of these people.

00:23:59.840 Is Speed's reaction fake?

00:24:01.740 This is where Speed towing the line of what's real and what isn't becomes a little tricky for him.

00:24:05.500 He took the joke too far, plain and simple. 0.87

00:24:07.420 But now saying f*** Aiden and Ash Cash for kicking you out, and that they're wrong for that?

00:24:11.720 This turned into a little beef between Aiden and Speed, which again, I don't know. 0.89

00:24:16.080 We were never, ever beefing.

00:24:20.600 Ever. 1.00

00:24:21.620 The day after, I was on the phone with this motherfucker. 1.00

00:24:24.880 Like, bro. 1.00

00:24:25.960 There's never been no f***ing beef. 0.89

00:24:27.900 I've never had beef with f***ing Speed, bro. 0.86

00:24:30.060 Ever. 0.92

00:24:31.340 Ever.

00:24:31.640 I don't know if it's real or not.

00:24:34.220 Speed's joke went viral on various social medias and had a lot of people angry.

00:24:38.060 Ash Cash had a lot of words to say about it on Twitter, rightfully so.

00:24:41.500 But Aiden didn't stand up for Speed, because he knew he was wrong.

00:24:44.700 And Speed never really addressed-

00:24:45.880 This cat, bro.

00:24:47.020 Look.

00:24:47.380 I'm gonna tell you right now. 0.94

00:24:49.500 Like, obviously what the f*** he said was wrong, but. 0.94

00:24:52.600 You know. 0.90

00:24:54.020 I'm not-

00:24:54.440 I mean, there's-

00:24:54.920 I can't really stick up for that. 0.94

00:24:56.260 Like, what he said was pretty f***ed up, bro. 0.52

00:24:58.680 What he said was wrong, bro. 0.68

00:24:59.760 I'm not gonna stand up for him and be like,

00:25:00.760 you know, that what he said was not that bad.

00:25:02.160 Like, it was really bad.

00:25:03.960 But, you know, people-

00:25:05.160 people grow and they, you know, they become-

00:25:07.160 they become better people.

00:25:08.280 And he knows better to not really f*** with that.

00:25:10.840 And he's maturing every day and he's becoming a better person.

00:25:13.580 So that's how I see it.

00:25:15.840 ...trusted again.

00:25:16.640 Today, I think they're all good and Speed hasn't really done an e-date since then,

00:25:20.120 which is also probably a good thing.

00:25:21.620 I think a little clarity between what is a character and what is real life would help Speed out a lot.

00:25:25.760 He's going to continue to get himself in sticky situations if he keeps being edgy like he is.

00:25:30.320 But I also understand that the lore of not knowing what's real and what isn't is exactly what makes him so interesting.

00:25:36.760 But sometimes you can get lost in the character.

00:25:39.080 You play it so much that you even forget who you really are.

00:25:42.520 I mean, the more crazy he acts and the more his views go up and his chat rewards him,

00:25:47.080 the formula is difficult to maintain because the chat doesn't really care about your well-being.

00:25:52.360 They want to see you push the limits because they don't have to suffer the consequences if you go too far.

00:25:56.920 I understand he's young.

00:25:58.680 It's normal to make mistakes.

00:26:00.520 I bet he'll look back on some clips in a few years and cringe at himself.

00:26:03.760 That's totally normal.

00:26:04.980 But when you're making tons of money off the same exact thing that is causing the controversy,

00:26:09.000 it's hard to make a defense.

00:26:10.320 He seems like a really good kid, obviously very entertaining, and not bad music either.

00:26:15.300 I would hate to see him get lost in this character that he built,

00:26:17.860 but I wish the best for him.

00:26:19.160 And I most definitely can't knock the hustle.

00:26:21.160 Because 4 million subs in one year is insane.

00:26:23.700 But maintaining that high stress, chaotic, and angry character just doesn't really seem like it can last that long.

00:26:31.680 I mean, look at Roy Purdy, who built a brand of being positive, happy-go-lucky, dancing, smiling,

00:26:37.460 wearing bright colors, millions of people around the world loving him for his positive energy.

00:26:42.720 And even he had a tough time maintaining that.

00:26:44.880 But if you want to hear more about that story, check out this video right here.

00:26:48.340 Drink water.

00:26:48.840 Yeah, bro, you know, that's why, you know, oh, it's hard, bro.

00:26:54.380 It's hard, bro, it's hard. 0.99

00:26:56.240 I get, you know, and I get what he's saying, where he's coming from and shit. 0.98

00:27:00.300 I really do. 0.99

00:27:02.900 I don't know how he does it, bro.

00:27:04.160 I don't know how Speed can stream every single day and bring that energy.

00:27:10.120 That's why I tell you guys, he's not human, bro. 0.99

00:27:11.720 He's a government fucking experiment. 1.00

00:27:13.660 There's no fucking way this motherfucker, you know what I'm saying? 1.00

00:27:16.080 Like, it's just crazy, bro. 1.00

00:27:17.100 How the fuck do you do that? 0.99

00:27:19.680 Okay, that's good. 0.99

00:27:20.660 I like that.

00:27:21.900 But we can spin.

00:27:22.500 We can spin off Gates has high return. 0.70

00:27:23.760 What do you guys think?

00:27:25.280 Uh-uh.

00:27:26.340 I feel like a buy, bro.

00:27:27.600 Except for a reason.

00:27:28.320 Spins are mid on these slots.

00:27:29.900 You got to spin others.

00:27:32.100 Go 10.

00:27:33.280 10k.

00:27:34.220 What could 10k pay, Cheese?

00:27:35.420 Potentially.

00:27:36.200 Mateo? 1.00

00:27:37.300 Fuck this. 1.00

00:27:38.140 Potentially. 1.00

00:27:39.840 Yeah.

00:27:40.340 That's the max.

00:27:40.660 That's like a reasonable.

00:27:41.860 No, that's not the max.

00:27:42.620 I mean, it could pay 6,000 times 100.

00:27:44.940 Yeah, it could say.

00:27:46.000 Yeah.

00:27:47.100 You got a 2xer. 0.97

00:27:48.180 Give us a yellow.

00:27:48.680 Drop a 500x here and say nothing.

00:27:51.140 I know we're in a buy right now and I know we're in profit, but bro, like, let's play smart, bro.

00:27:55.300 Don't just be like, it's profit money, you know?

00:27:57.420 Yeah, no.

00:27:57.900 Seriously.

00:27:58.200 7xer, we have 10 spins.

00:27:59.280 That's good.

00:27:59.620 That's a good spot.

00:28:01.000 It's not mid.

00:28:01.480 It's not bad.

00:28:01.980 It's centered.

00:28:03.740 All right.

00:28:04.100 Come on.

00:28:04.360 You got to drop smear.

00:28:05.240 Nice.

00:28:06.140 All right.

00:28:06.640 You got to get a higher multi than that.

00:28:08.440 Higher multi or higher.

00:28:09.680 That's a little bit nice.

00:28:10.940 Moving up, bro.

00:28:11.480 Just moving up.

00:28:13.680 Yellow.

00:28:14.400 All right.

00:28:14.740 This is a decent board.

00:28:16.120 I'm not going to lie.

00:28:17.060 This could be a really, really good board.

00:28:19.920 This could be a good board.

00:28:21.280 It's not over.

00:28:22.120 Green, purples.

00:28:22.720 Green, purples.

00:28:23.200 Purples.

00:28:23.540 Purples.

00:28:24.240 Purples or cups.

00:28:24.460 Purples or cups.

00:28:26.340 Come on, one-off.

00:28:27.420 Wow, one-off cups.

00:28:28.280 Guys, I would have paid, like, hmm.

00:28:30.600 Insane.

00:28:31.240 I ain't going to lie cheese.

00:28:31.720 That might be it.

00:28:32.640 No, it's not it.

00:28:34.040 No, it might be.

00:28:34.660 What's with the pessimism?

00:28:35.660 No, it's not that, bro.

00:28:36.620 It's not that.

00:28:37.200 It's just like...

00:28:37.820 I do this slot all the time.

00:28:40.560 I used to do it all the time.

00:28:41.260 I'm telling you how much.

00:28:41.520 It'll have one more.

00:28:42.240 It's going to have one more.

00:28:42.880 It's going to have one more.

00:28:44.260 It's good.

00:28:44.640 I don't think it'll be a good one,

00:28:45.820 but it'll have one more.

00:28:46.420 All right.

00:28:46.660 Drop a 500x.

00:28:48.420 You got a fist right there at least, bro.

00:28:50.800 Never mind.

00:28:51.440 It's done.

00:28:52.600 Fist. 1.00

00:28:53.240 Fuck it. 1.00

00:28:53.680 We lost 4,000. 1.00

00:28:54.780 Good.

00:28:55.340 All right.

00:28:55.620 Let's go right to this. 1.00

00:28:56.740 I just throw shit out. 1.00

00:28:59.320 That was a good call, bro, man. 1.00

00:29:00.380 It wasn't bad.

00:29:04.600 Okay.

00:29:04.980 What are y'all feeling?

00:29:05.460 All right.

00:29:05.540 All right.

00:29:07.540 Bro, how are you back at, BJ?

00:29:10.980 What is your roll?

00:29:11.620 What about 1-9?

00:29:12.260 He meant to click roulette.

00:29:13.440 He misclicked.

00:29:15.100 Wait.

00:29:15.500 What about 1-10?

00:29:16.180 Our fruit party.

00:29:17.000 Chill low-key, go to roulette.

00:29:18.600 Bro.

00:29:19.500 I'm playing with this 13K.

00:29:20.700 Just calm.

00:29:21.300 Yo, bro.

00:29:21.620 You guys are really negative, bro.

00:29:23.000 Please.

00:29:23.640 Bro, it's because the other day I ran.

00:29:25.040 Yeah, you're good.

00:29:25.700 800K and then you did this and I lost it.

00:29:27.780 Bro, not dipping 200, bro.

00:29:34.260 Like, come on.

00:29:35.420 Just chill.

00:29:36.160 Give us a straight.

00:29:39.880 Straight's a free hand.

00:29:41.000 Just give us a 6.

00:29:42.260 Okay, give us a 9.

00:29:42.920 Straight is 10 to 1 every time.

00:29:44.300 Remember that, okay?

00:29:45.120 Okay.

00:29:45.400 Ace-key.

00:29:47.200 Why'd you say ace-key? 1.00

00:29:48.220 Are you dumb and fat? 1.00

00:29:49.780 Like, are you... 1.00

00:29:50.380 I said an 8.

00:29:51.240 I said an 8-key. 1.00

00:29:52.480 You fucking dummy. 1.00

00:29:53.460 Shut up. 1.00

00:29:54.400 Yeah, I'm bad. 1.00

00:29:55.480 Give me a 10.

00:29:56.500 I'll take an 8 right here.

00:29:57.280 Ace.

00:29:57.840 Ace.

00:29:59.800 All right.

00:30:00.280 I ain't gonna lie. 1.00

00:30:01.100 Flip a fucking 5 or 6 or 7 or... 1.00

00:30:04.380 That's 8.

00:30:04.940 Flip a 8.

00:30:05.540 Oh my God, please.
