00:11:43.000 Well, actually, the Tibetan Center for Human Rights and Democracy is the primary Tibetan NGO documenting the human rights abuses taking place in Tibet.

00:11:53.000 And for the last more than a decade, we have been documenting various forms of human rights violations taking place in Tibet.

00:12:01.000 We have been issuing various updates from time to time to the international community about all the human rights violations that have been taking place over decades of Chinese rule in Tibet.

00:12:13.000 And as the world now knows, like so far, Tibet has always been very silent.

00:12:21.000 And the last protests that took place on a mass scale were in late 1980s, to be precise, 87, 88, 89, and early 1991 and 2.

00:12:32.000 After that, the Chinese have been clamping down upon the Tibetans, and there was no protest to take place at all, because the tyranny was so bad that nobody dared to speak out. 0.82

00:12:45.000 Anyone who was speaking out would be thrown into jail for about 10 to 12 to 15 to life imprisonment, so nobody dared to speak out.

00:12:53.000 But because of this deep, deep resentment which has been created by the Chinese authorities in Tibet over decades now, now the Tibetan people are again coming onto the street and showing their protest.

00:13:08.000 As you know now, since the 10th of March, which is the Tibetan Uprising Day, Monks in hundreds, in thousands, have come onto the streets, beginning from Lhasa, where the monks of the three great monasteries have come to the streets and protested against the Chinese authorities in Tibet.

00:13:24.000 And the monks were thrown back into their monasteries and the monasteries sealed.

00:13:28.000 Thereafter, ordinary people joined by the smaller monasteries, they also came into the streets.

00:13:34.000 And when the protests in Lhasa, they were being brutally crushed, and And the security forces, they were going like house-to-house raids to pick up all the suspected protesters.

00:13:49.000 Basically, they were picking up all the young men in these families.

00:13:52.000 We have been receiving testimonies of crying mothers and elderly in the families saying that their young sons are being dragged away, beaten by the security forces.

00:14:01.000 We don't know how many have been carried away right now, but we're estimating anywhere around 600 plus.

00:14:08.000 And, according to information that we have been receiving so far, the protests have spread like a wildfire in the whole of Tibet now.

00:14:17.000 Say, in northeastern Tibet, in various, various parts in northeastern Tibet, what the Tibetans traditionally know as Angol region, there are protests, mass-scale protests taking place everywhere.

00:14:30.000 When I say mass-scale, it's about 5,000 plus Tibetans coming onto the streets and protesting against the Chinese rule in Tibet.

00:14:37.000 Yesterday, we have been receiving pictures of the Chinese police shooting indiscriminately into the protesters and as a result, at least, at least, 15 dead bodies have been brought into a local monastery and people fear that about 30 plus have already been killed.

00:14:59.000 Hello, this morning also we have been receiving information that there are protests still going on in various parts of Tibet, especially in the northeastern Tibet region.

02:10:55.000 And incidentally, one-third of the stock in Bear Stearns was owned by their employees.

02:11:01.000 So not only are they going to take horrendous losses, almost 100%, I'm going to pick your brain here today because there's so much going on we can get stuck on one facet.

02:11:18.000 A, that we're talking about two to three years and that seems to be what all the experts are saying.

02:11:27.000 Because, you know, I mean, you said last year we'd see the earnings come in, that that would precipitate more of these imploding.

02:11:33.000 We have the Carlisle financial imploding, going completely bankrupt.

02:11:38.000 Now they're talking about other major houses going bankrupt.

02:11:40.000 I mean, you still see this on trend for two to three years?

02:11:54.000 And the collateral that's being given is junk bonds for all intents and purposes, and eventually what's going to happen is the banks that receive that money are part of the Federal Reserve System, and they're part of the owners of the Fed. 0.74
