02:08:57.000 Well, I've been very much involved ever since I got out of the military in 1952.

02:09:08.000 While I was in the military, I got quite an education as to how our government was functioning at that point.

02:09:17.000 And I didn't like what I'd seen and what I heard, but I was laboring under the same handicap that most Americans are, because I had gone to a government school, graduated from high school, a government high school. 0.53

02:09:34.000 And so for many years, I tried to make the system work the way they taught me in those government schools.

02:09:43.000 And eventually I came to the point where I understood that I had been miseducated, I had been propagandized, I had been...

02:09:55.000 I've taken advantage of my gullibility and the fact that we put way too much trust in government and so for the last 35 years or better I have been very much an activist in trying to inform my fellow Americans of the precarious situation that we're in and of course it is becoming more precarious Yes.

02:11:33.000 I didn't become active in the freedom movement until I understood the answers and where we had gone astray and how we had been miseducated, misled, and to where I was able to communicate with my fellow Americans as to Absolutely.

02:12:47.000 Back in the 70s, we started using television.

02:12:53.000 We produced television specials back in Montana, and we really shook up a lot of people, a lot of politicians and such.

02:13:05.000 And people kept telling me, they said, you have to write a book, you have to put this down in a book where people can read this information.

02:13:15.000 And of course, that was the last thing I ever wanted to do was write a book.

02:13:20.000 And then I had an experience where a fellow came to one of our seminars.

02:13:27.000 We had several hundred people there, and this fellow was a hard money man.

02:13:35.000 He had a very large business, a gold and silver business.

02:13:45.000 And then he told me, he said, I go to every international monetary conference there is, and he said, I've never heard anyone that could hold an audience like you.

02:13:58.000 And he says, I've heard the best speakers in the business.

02:14:02.000 And here I had been trying to get someone to ghostwrite for me, and I hadn't had any luck at that.

02:14:09.000 And so I thought about this for several months, and then I told my missus, I said, You know, I said, Charlie told me that I can hold an audience better than most people, and I said, if I sit down and if I write like I speak, then perhaps I can hold the attention of a reader.

02:14:33.000 And I sat down and I wrote the book Born Again Republic in about two weeks.

02:14:39.000 And I didn't know anything about book printing or anything, so I made some mistakes, but I I think so.

02:14:57.000 quite well, very well, I guess.

02:14:59.000 And so that started something.

02:15:03.000 And, of course, I published a couple, three more shortly thereafter.

02:15:08.000 One book, I let it go out of print, and that was due unto the IRS as they would do unto you.

02:15:16.000 I may have to go back and reprint that one because we're still getting calls for it.

02:15:25.000 And then, of course, I printed the book, The Church Deceived, which is still in print and will stay in print.

02:15:37.000 And I wrote the book, Walls in Our Minds, in 89, 90 is when I first published it.

02:15:45.000 In 97, I published the book, Why the Militia, and that book, it sold well, but it hasn't gotten near the coverage that it should, and because it has some tremendous ideas and thought in there, and I explain the Constitution in our system, our political system is designed by the founders.

02:16:19.000 And, um, so, um, you know, I, I started with the television and we had great results with it.

02:16:26.000 We ran, uh, on the satellite.

02:16:30.000 Uh, we, we had, uh, programs on the satellite, uh, in 1986 um, and that worked quite well, but the, it became too expensive and, uh, We just haven't produced much in the way of television now for some time, other than a DVD that I produced last year with Pat Shannon.

02:34:42.000 I'm the co-author of The Law That Never Was, Volume 1. Bill Benson is the other co-author involved in that.

02:34:53.000 In 1980, the summer of 1980, it was June of 1980, we had a conversation.

02:35:02.000 I had a conversation with a gentleman in Montana, and we got to talking about the problems we've got in this country and one thing or another.

02:35:12.000 And I had a kind of a list of lies.

02:35:18.000 I said, our politicians have lied to us about Pearl Harbor and Korea and Vietnam and Social Security and energy shortage.

02:35:27.000 And this fellow, he said, you know, he said...

02:35:37.000 I hadn't thought of that one.

02:35:39.000 And so we discussed it and I said, well, I said, with the track record that the politicians have for truth and telling us the opposite of truth, I said, we just about have to know that there's something wrong with the 16th Amendment.

02:35:58.000 And this gentleman says, well, we better find out.

02:36:01.000 And so There were some small business people and ranchers and farmers in Montana that kind of formed an ad hoc type of committee, I guess, and they called themselves the Montana Historians.

02:36:19.000 And they started the process of checking out the state archives in the different states, the 48 states that we had in 1909.

02:36:32.000 And, er, 1913 is when we had that many.

02:36:37.000 We didn't have 48 states in 1913 when the 16th Amendment was proposed in Congress.

02:36:45.000 Anyway, by 1983, in fact, by the fall of 1980, we knew when I wrote the book Born Again Republic, my first book, we knew that the 16th Amendment was a fraud.

02:37:00.000 Uh, because of Senate Document 240.

02:37:04.000 And, uh, but by, uh, January of 1983, we, uh, uh, those, uh, hard-working people up there in Montana did a, uh, a fantastic amount of work.

02:37:17.000 Uh, one of the fellows was from Wyoming, even, that got involved, and, uh, they wrote a lot of letters and collected all these documents.

02:37:26.000 And, um, it never dawned on us.

02:37:28.000 We were We were just novices and amateurs, and we never realized that the courts would immediately say, oh, you've got to have it certified.

02:37:40.000 All your documents have to be certified.

02:37:43.000 Well, that was just part of our education.

02:37:46.000 And, of course, we took the evidence.

02:37:49.000 I took the evidence.

02:37:50.000 I was subpoenaed into a case in Fort Worth, Texas in March of 83. And, um, that was the first, I think, that the U.S. Justice Department knew, uh, what we had done.

02:38:04.000 And, um, and of course, uh, then in 1983, um, or 84, I guess it was, uh, no, 83, uh, I was subpoenaed in a case in Chicago, and we tried again, and the judge told us that our documents weren't certified, and therefore they did not have to take them as evidence.

02:38:26.000 And they sent a young family man to jail.

02:38:30.000 And it was a blatant obstruction of justice.

02:38:38.000 It was blatant on the part of the federal judge.

02:38:41.000 He was a Reagan appointee.

02:38:44.000 He took his orders from Washington D.C., I'm sure.

02:38:56.000 Bill Benson was working with the defense attorney as a paralegal, and Bill Benson, the defense attorney, Andy Spiegel, he agreed that we needed to send somebody to the states to collect the certified documents on this.

02:39:18.000 And of course, the judge had more or less said that we had to have somebody go to the states personally and collect all of this documentation.

02:39:26.000 and Bill Benson agreed to go.

02:39:27.000 And we could not have found a better man to do the job because he was a criminal investigator, had been a criminal investigator for the Department of Revenue for the state of Illinois.

02:39:39.000 And when he went out to the states, he didn't take no for an answer from anybody.

02:39:46.000 And he just stayed on this thing like a bird dog.

02:39:54.000 Um, by Christmas Eve of 1984, uh, he called me from, um, uh, Olympia, Washington, and said, I've got the last state.

02:40:05.000 And, uh, what a, an emotional thing that was.

02:40:09.000 And, of course, then we published, uh, The Law That Never Was, Volume 1, in April of 1985.

02:40:17.000 Of 80, yeah, 85. And, uh, so that's been out now 23 years.

02:40:22.000 And, um, The Justice Department and the Federal Judiciary have obstructed justice, and this is a felony.

02:40:32.000 They have obstructed justice.

02:40:34.000 They have not allowed this evidence to be brought by us to the Federal Grand Jury.

02:40:43.000 We have not been able to use it in the defense of criminal cases, and it's been a real demonstration of judicial criminal activity and criminal activity on the part of justice department attorneys it is uh...

02:41:03.000 it's going to go down in history as uh...

02:41:07.000 being an example of how evil and how criminal uh...

02:41:13.000 government can become if Yes, the people don't maintain control of government.

02:41:19.000 And the people have not.

02:41:21.000 And we have done that.
