00:06:49.000 This is the Alex Jones Show.

00:06:52.000 Call Alex now, toll free at 877-590-5525.

00:06:55.000 917-590-5525.

00:06:59.000 Now live from Austin, Texas, here's Alex Jones.

00:07:05.000 Congress from Ron Paul joins us out of the gates for his analysis, his breakdown.

00:07:12.000 down.

00:07:13.000 The congressman from Texas, of course, a presidential candidate who sent shockwaves through the political system, the controlled left-right paradigm, is with us for the next 20 minutes to break down what we're facing.

00:07:25.000 Congressman, are you feeling the dread that many of us are feeling right now?

00:07:32.000 Yes, I do, but I don't think it's brand new.

00:07:34.000 I didn't wake up with it.

00:07:35.000 I've had it for a while.

00:07:37.000 I don't think the election was a surprise, but the rhetoric is getting pretty strong, and they are getting very bold.

00:07:43.000 I think McCain was obviously a backup candidate in case something happened where Obama didn't win.

00:07:49.000 They'd have been satisfied with McCain.

00:07:53.000 They've been positioning Obama for a long, long time.

00:07:57.000 He's a man of the people, and yet he was the first guy to spend more money than anybody else.

00:08:06.000 He probably spent more money than everybody else put together in these last two years.

00:08:09.000 On the books, it's about $750 million, but when you look at all the free stuff, and you All the things that have gone on in the last three or four years, I consider the fact that he's probably had a $2 billion campaign.

00:08:24.000 But we have to realize this started a long time before he even announced to be president.

00:08:29.000 Anybody who would have gotten that much favorable coverage for so long, you know that the plans are laid for him to be the individual that is going to be taking care of the corporate elite.

00:08:43.000 Well, he's the guy who helped ram through the banker takeover bill, and now what you predict and others predict is happening, they're openly announcing the end of the dollar, a new Bretton Woods, a new world monetary system run by a small group of private international banks.

00:08:58.000 We will buy our carbon credits from them, and Barack Obama is signaled that he will do whatever they say.

00:09:06.000 I think there's no doubt about that.

00:09:08.000 He wouldn't be there if he didn't toe the line.

00:09:11.000 And, you know, when the meeting starts on November 15th for the new monetary system, this could be, you know, the beginning of the end of what we see as what's left of our national sovereignty.

00:09:24.000 I don't know how long it will take for their announcement.

00:09:26.000 I guess the meeting starts on November 15th.

00:09:29.000 It won't be November 16th.

00:09:30.000 I think it'll be a little while before the announcement is made and before we fully understand it.

00:09:36.000 I think the fact that the markets are relatively calm right now, and the dollar has not totally crashed, is all being orchestrated by all the central banks.

00:09:45.000 The message is out that the dollar is doomed.

00:09:47.000 They can't keep doing it.

00:09:49.000 But I think temporarily they've been able to hold it together.

00:09:52.000 But something has to give.

00:09:55.000 And it's on the Business News station now.

00:09:56.000 It's not just your radio show and others talking about it.

00:09:59.000 I was watching a business station yesterday, and they were very, very upset.

00:10:03.000 Stiglitz was on.

00:10:04.000 I guess you've heard of that guy.

00:10:06.000 He was on very much bragging about this thing, you know, about a new world reserve currency and world regulations.

00:10:14.000 That means world government.

00:10:15.000 And it looks like it's coming rather rapidly right now.

00:10:19.000 That's right.

00:10:20.000 We played the clip yesterday.

00:10:21.000 He said over the banks, over the stocks, over every nation, a trilateral world currency, everything the Trilateral Commission announced in the 70s, everything we warn people about in Obama is saying he's going to give us change.

00:10:34.000 But the change with class warfare is robbing the middle class and transferring it all to the multinational corporations.

00:10:40.000 You know, I guess you heard a statement by Sarkozy from France.

00:10:45.000 He said that we want to reform capitalism.

00:10:48.000 But our president, you know, came right back and he says he's all for this World Summit, but only on one condition, that we not tamper with the free market system.

00:10:59.000 And people believe this stuff.

00:11:01.000 You know, they just listen to that and it just goes over their heads and it's so sad.

00:11:05.000 Congressman Ron Paul is our guest.

00:11:07.000 For those that just tuned in, the last second we were discussing how they're openly announcing a world government of and by a private group of central banks, the same international institutions that created the derivatives implosion that we're seeing right now.

00:11:22.000 Reuters, Obama urged to shape new economic order.

00:11:26.000 Biden, on the last week, his running mate, the new vice president-elect, has called for world government twice last week and a new world order.

00:11:34.000 Everything we told you decades ago, you are now seeing it.

00:11:38.000 So they move out the old puppet Bush.

00:11:39.000 They're moving in the new puppet to fool the left now to get on this bandwagon.

00:11:44.000 And congressmen I've been interviewing a lot of international experts, by the way, including Stiklips, who's pushing all of this right now, and they are saying, yes, the big announcement that Powell's talking about on the 21st or 22nd of January will be devaluing the dollar and basically announcing a new economic order run by the very people that orchestrated all of this.

00:12:09.000 World leaders are saying it's also going to be economic implosions and military adventures, Pakistan.

00:12:18.000 What is this huge event where they're naming dates but they won't tell us what it is?

00:12:23.000 Well they're just getting us prepared and they are doing the planning and they're in charge and unfortunately the people get distracted.

00:12:33.000 I consider our election this whole past year or two is just a distraction making everybody think Boy, this is really critical.

00:12:41.000 This election means everything.

00:12:42.000 You know, if we don't have McCain, the world is going to go to the dogs or vice versa.

00:12:46.000 If we don't have Obama, we're not going to be able to take care of the people and the poor are all going to suffer and die.

00:12:53.000 And it's all orchestrated so people are misdirected from the important issues of war and peace and money and the Federal Reserve and the business cycle and all these calamities that are going on.

00:13:07.000 So they don't want us to know, and by the time we do know and figure it out, then it's so hard to reverse the trend.

00:13:14.000 It's sort of like the Patriot Act should have been defeated before we passed it.

00:13:18.000 Once it's passed, it's really tough to repeal laws like that.

00:13:23.000 Congressman Powell is saying the 21st and 22nd August.

00:13:26.000 Others are naming that date.

00:13:28.000 You're there at the Hill.

00:13:30.000 You're closer to the inside of the actual workings of power than the general public is.

00:13:34.000 Have you heard anybody who has inside knowledge about what the crisis is, or is it going to be the announcement of the New World Order?

00:13:44.000 Well, I think it's going to be an announcement of a new monetary order, and they'll probably make it sound as very limited.

00:13:49.000 They're not going to say this is world government, even though if you control the world money and you control the military, which they do indirectly, they do control the world.

00:14:00.000 They're mainly interested in controlling the money and natural resources.

00:14:04.000 And right now, it's not in the hands of private property owners.

00:14:07.000 Here in Texas, you know, we develop natural resources pretty much by private property ownership, and we all survive rather well.

00:14:14.000 But compare that to what happens in Alaska.

00:14:16.000 But what happens when it's a world central bank, worldwide regulation, and world control of the whole system of all?

00:14:26.000 Of all the commodities and all the natural resources, what else can you call that other than world government?

00:14:35.000 And it's going to be controlled by the very financial institutions that orchestrated the controlled crisis.

00:14:40.000 And they're openly saying, for those that don't know, and I'd like the Congressman to comment on this, No, but these IMF and World Bank chiefs, the head of the International Bank of Settlements, Treasury Secretaries, others, Fed Chairman, are saying that we will pay different stock taxes, different derivatives taxes, different taxes on the stock market transactions, and there's going to be world carbon taxes that you buy from this group of banks.

00:15:06.000 I mean, that is total control, and as Barack Obama said, he's going to bankrupt the coal industry that gives us 49% of our power.

00:15:14.000 Yep, it is.

00:15:15.000 It's in direct control.

00:15:17.000 They're not going to own the coal mines and the coal processes.

00:15:22.000 What they can do is just tax you, and they can control us.

00:15:26.000 And I've argued the case that we don't have private property in this country anymore because we have all the responsibility and liability, but can you use your land without getting permission?

00:15:35.000 You have to get 20 permits to use your own land in order to stay on the land.

00:15:43.000 You can't use unless you get government control and government permission.

00:15:49.000 Is it going to just come from Austin or just come from Washington?

00:15:53.000 Now we're going to have to go to La Hague or, you know, wherever, wherever they control things.

00:16:00.000 And the big thing here is it slows things up so much.

00:16:04.000 I imagine a few of them think that they'll be able to manage this and we'll be able to help take care of everybody.

00:16:10.000 But obviously that isn't the case.

00:16:12.000 They're going to make the world a lot poorer.

00:16:15.000 You're listening to Alex Jones with Congressman Ron Paul and Trend Forecaster Gerald Cilenti in this encore presentation of the Alex Jones Radio Show.

00:16:30.000 I am so frustrated.

00:16:31.000 I can't seem to remember anything anymore.

00:16:34.000 What?

00:16:34.000 Seriously, my memory and attention span is terrible.

00:16:37.000 I read something and forget.

00:16:38.000 I forget people's names.

00:16:40.000 I hear all this great information on the radio and I want to tell people, but I forget.

00:16:44.000 Okay, slow down.

00:16:45.000 Poor attention and memory loss is not your fault.

00:16:48.000 Factors like fluoride in the water, aluminum in deodorants, genetically modified foods, the way the education system taught you. 0.79

00:16:55.000 It's all meant to dumb you down.

00:16:56.000 You know, I can remember everything now.

00:20:20.000 Or call 866-598-7396.

00:20:21.000 866-598-7396.

00:20:21.000 You're listening to GCN.

00:20:22.000 866-598-7396. 866-598-7396.

00:20:28.000 You're listening to GCN, the Genesis Communication Radio Network.

00:20:37.000 Congressman Powell is saying the 21st and 22nd...

00:20:45.000 Others are naming that date.

00:20:47.000 You're there at the Hill.

00:20:48.000 I mean, have you heard anybody who has inside knowledge about what the crisis is, or is it going to be the announcement of the New World Order?

00:20:58.000 Well, I think it's going to be an announcement of a new monetary order, and they'll probably make it sound as very limited.

00:21:03.000 They're not going to say this is world government, even though if you control the world money and you control the military, which they do indirectly, they do control the world.

00:21:14.000 They're mainly interested in controlling the money and natural resources.

00:21:17.000 But what happens when it's a world central bank, worldwide regulation, and world control of the whole system, of all the commodities and all the natural resources?

00:21:32.000 What else can you call that other than world government?

00:21:35.000 And it's going to be controlled by the very financial institutions that orchestrated the controlled crisis.

00:21:41.000 And they're openly saying, for those that don't know, and I'd like the congressman to comment on this, but these IMF and World Bank chiefs, the head of the International Bank of Settlements, Treasury secretaries, others, Fed chairman, are saying that we will pay different stock taxes, different derivatives taxes, different...

00:21:58.000 You know, taxes on the stock market transactions, and there's going to be world carbon taxes that you buy from this group of banks.

00:22:07.000 I mean, that is total control, and as Barack Obama said, he's going to bankrupt the coal industry that gives us 49% of our power.

00:22:14.000 This is the neo-feudal model.

00:22:16.000 Yep, it is.

00:22:17.000 It's in direct control.

00:22:18.000 They're not going to own the coal mines and the coal processes.

00:22:23.000 What they can do is just tax you, and they can control us.

00:22:27.000 And I've argued the case that we don't have private property in this country anymore because we have all the responsibility and liability, but can you use your land without getting permission?

00:22:36.000 You have to get 20 permits to use your own land.

00:22:39.000 In order to stay on the land, you have to pay huge taxes.

00:22:42.000 So we pay rent to stay on our own property.

00:22:44.000 You can't use it unless you get government control and government permission.

00:22:48.000 But here now the permission isn't going to just come from Austin or just come from Washington.

00:22:53.000 Now we're going to have to go to La Hague or wherever, wherever they control things.

00:23:00.000 And the big thing here is it slows things.

00:23:04.000 I imagine a few of them think that they'll be able to manage this and we'll be able to help take care of everybody, but obviously that isn't the case.

00:23:14.000 They're going to make the world a lot poorer.

00:23:16.000 That's why Newsweek's calling him the president of the world.

00:23:19.000 They're calling him that in British and German and French newspapers.

00:23:23.000 I mean, they are calling him the one.

00:23:25.000 I mean, any time you see that in history, Congressman, isn't that dangerous?

00:23:30.000 I mean, that means not only dangerous, but maybe we have crushed Rubicon.

00:23:37.000 You know, maybe it's going to be very difficult.

00:23:39.000 So we have to look for sources of optimism.

00:23:42.000 What do we do?

00:23:43.000 Ultimately, though, all that happens to us is a result of philosophy and beliefs and convictions.

00:23:48.000 And that's where I think we've made some inroads.

00:23:51.000 You know, in spite of the shortcomings of our campaign, I think we've made some inroads In calling attention to a lot of people in this country, the importance of monetary policy, the importance of the central bank, the importance of how government causes so much problem.

00:24:06.000 It's just that we're in the minority.

00:24:07.000 That's right.

00:24:08.000 Your campaign covered all the issues that are now unfolding, center stage on the world, but as you said, the global crisis they were going to engineer, For decades you've said this, that when we came to that point, it would be with the free market and liberty and freedom, be able to use the crisis to expand liberty, or with the establishment who orchestrated it, use it to bring in more bondage.

00:24:31.000 Now, I want to get into the trifecta.

00:24:34.000 The House, the Senate, so now the Legislative, and the Executive, at least for a year or two with just just just absolute power how dangerous is that with Chuckie Schumer talking about all these new taxes and more gun control and fairness doctrine restricting free speech playing

00:24:53.000 it's very dangerous in the first year is probably going to be the most dangerous year and just think of Bush's first year but he also had the 9/11 thing that he could use to scare everybody to death And Obama will use the financial crisis.

00:25:07.000 The crisis will get worse and there will be some more military skirmishes around the world.

00:25:11.000 So he'll say, well, we've got to do this, we've got to do this.

00:25:14.000 And just as the Republican Congress wouldn't say boo to our Republican President, you know the Democratic Congress is never going to stand up.

00:25:23.000 There'll be a couple, maybe a Dennis Kucinich and a few others who are principled and anti-war.

00:25:29.000 But the Democratic Congress will not stand up to the President.

00:25:34.000 As a matter of fact, a lot of Republicans might say, hey, how do I stand here if Obama's so popular?

00:25:39.000 I better go along with it.

00:25:40.000 I don't want to look like I'm in opposition to this.

00:25:43.000 Sort of like how many people went along with the bailout.

00:25:45.000 Oh, I don't want to look like I don't care about the financial crisis.

00:25:48.000 I better vote for this.

00:25:49.000 Oh, I don't want to look like I don't care about it.

00:25:51.000 Well, that's the issue.

00:25:52.000 of the terror is coming here.

00:25:54.000 I better vote for the Patriot Act. 0.58

00:25:55.000 There's going to be a lot of that, and there's going to be a lot of legislation passed, I think, in the first year.

00:26:00.000 Well, that's the issue.

00:26:02.000 Obama's called for a million-man youth brigade as large as the military.

00:26:07.000 The Air Force has now announced more brigades being added to NORTHCOM.

00:26:14.000 What is the left, the mainline left, going to do when they realize that Barack Obama is actually going to intensify all of the policies that George Bush had?

00:26:24.000 Well, there's not too many left.

00:26:25.000 I mean, you have the Ralph Naders and others, but they get marginalized, just as I was in the Republican Party.

00:26:31.000 So, those who are principled, who object to this, aren't going to be heard from, and people are going to go along with it.

00:26:39.000 And that, of course, is where our problem is.

00:26:43.000 So, I don't know.

00:26:45.000 It doesn't look all that good.

00:26:46.000 No, it doesn't.

00:26:49.000 Congressman, how do we prepare for this?

00:26:54.000 I mean, we've already had the government triple under George Bush, now Obama's talking about expanding it even more.

00:26:58.000 I mean, what do we do, in your educated opinion, to somehow save the republic?

00:27:04.000 Well, they're going to claim they're saving it because they take all these people up and put them in all these organizations in the military and type of things.

00:27:10.000 Oh, unemployment rates are going down.

00:27:13.000 That's what they'll probably argue.

00:27:15.000 No, we have to continue to do what we're doing.

00:27:17.000 You're in the business of Passing on and spreading information, that to me is the most crucial, getting more people engaged, more people understanding what the issues are.

00:27:24.000 Nothing else is more important than that.

00:27:26.000 And then when you see an opportunity, then we have to turn this into political action.

00:27:32.000 And hopefully we don't give up on that too soon.

00:27:35.000 But it does get rather frustrating, especially after elections like this.

00:27:39.000 But there's going to be special elections.

00:27:40.000 You know, there's two senators that have to resign now.

00:27:44.000 There'll be special elections there.

00:27:45.000 There'll be, you know, congressmen that'll, you know, there'll be special elections. 0.98

00:27:51.000 In special elections it gives you a better opportunity for us to spread our message and identify because turnouts are lower.

00:27:58.000 That's how I won office the very first time.

00:28:00.000 If I hadn't won that thing I'd have never been in politics.

00:28:04.000 Congressman, do you think that we are in danger of not just them using the staged economic crisis that they created to get total control, but Gulf of Tonkins, because they're also talking about terror attacks, inaugural bombings, Al-Qaeda, Al-Ciaida, wants to test the resolve of the United States. 0.61

00:28:21.000 Do you think that's on the cards?

00:28:22.000 Oh, it sure is.

00:28:24.000 But back to the philosophy of the Bush Doctrine, which was that we have the right to preemptively strike anybody.

00:28:31.000 And then he even expanded that recently by saying, well, we don't have to invade and conquer, but we have the right to go in and bomb anybody without their permission.

00:28:41.000 That's why we go into Pakistan and Syria, which are acts of war. 0.99

00:28:47.000 So, they have the tools to do it, and they have the sentiment, and most Americans are oblivious to what's happening.

00:28:57.000 So you're saying you think members of the establishment might stage something so that people will then support more warmongering, but this time by Obama?

00:29:08.000 I thought it would have occurred sooner because Bush was so anxious to go into Iran.

00:29:12.000 It hasn't happened so far, so maybe our talking about it made him back off a little bit.

00:29:17.000 That doesn't mean we should be complacent.

00:29:19.000 Hold on one second.

00:29:21.000 You're listening to Alex Jones with Congressman Ron Paul and trend forecaster Gerald Cilente in this encore presentation.

00:33:43.000 And he can talk about any issues to the folks on hold.

00:33:46.000 You can talk to him as well.

00:33:48.000 He's Gerald Salente.

00:33:50.000 I'm really honored to have him with us.

00:33:51.000 We wrote a story at PrisonPlanet.com.

00:33:55.000 Last week's title, Salente predicts revolution, food riots, tax rebellions by 2012.

00:34:01.000 He goes on international television, national television, Fox, CNN, you name it.

00:34:05.000 He is one of the, if not the most accurate, because I've been following him for more than a decade, people predicting trends.

00:34:13.000 They call him a trend forecaster.

00:34:15.000 I would call him a futurist, but just seeing where things are going.

00:34:19.000 And he makes a lot of the similar predictions we make, but I tend to just read UN think tank documents, Rand Corporation, where they say what they're going to do.

00:34:27.000 He said, there will be a revolution in this country, and it's not going to come yet, but it's going to come down the line, and we're going to see a third party, and that's the catalyst for it, the takeover of Washington, D.C.

00:34:38.000 and broad daylight by Wall Street in a bloodless coup.

00:34:41.000 And then he goes into talking about basically riots and homelessness and complete breakdown of society.

00:34:46.000 And so joining us for the next hour is Gerald Salente to talk about a host of issues and get where he thinks we're going in the future.

00:34:55.000 And of course you can also link through and go to his website TrendsResearch.com.

00:35:02.000 Gerald Salente, thanks for coming on.

00:35:04.000 Hey Alex, thank you for having me.

00:35:05.000 You bet.

00:35:06.000 We've got three minutes before we break, but just lay out in the first three minutes a little bit about yourself and what trend research is.

00:35:14.000 Well, current events form future trends.

00:35:17.000 So we look at the major social, economic, political, geopolitical, environmental, consumer.

00:35:23.000 We look at over 300 different categories on a daily basis, worldwide, looking for those major trends that are shaping the future.

00:35:31.000 For example, The current event today that everyone should know about is what Citigroup announced.

00:35:37.000 They're firing 50,000 people.

00:35:40.000 And they're not going to make those jobs up in the circuit city of Starbucks.

00:35:45.000 So we look at this data and we analyze it, but we do so as political atheists.

00:35:51.000 Both of these parties, you know, we have nothing to do with them.

00:35:55.000 And so we look at events for what they are and not the way we want them to be.

00:36:00.000 And that's what really stops a lot of people from seeing the future.

00:36:03.000 The other thing is when you look at economic forecasts, political forecasts, they do it one-dimensionally.

00:36:11.000 They don't look at all the other interlocking fields.

00:36:14.000 Yes.

00:36:15.000 So that's what we do differently than most others.

00:36:17.000 The system that we have we call globalnomic.

00:36:21.000 It means including the entire world from the word globus and neemine to manage because trends can be managed.

00:36:29.000 You can see what's happening and then take the measures necessary to protect yourself or to profit from what the future may bring.

00:36:37.000 Yeah.

00:36:40.000 Absolutely.

00:36:40.000 When we come back, I want to get into the fact that the NSA uses its snooping system not so much to even, quote, spy on the individual, but to see major trends and try to get ahead of it, to control it, and to give that info to select inner group corporations.

00:36:54.000 The government, the big corporations, they know what you and I know, Gerald, and what you're so good at.

00:36:59.000 They just don't like advertising real systems to the public.

00:37:03.000 Well, yes and no, because we've worked with a number of the major corporations and, you know, that's our business.

00:37:10.000 And I have to tell you, there are corporations like Ford, for example, they came to visit us in the 90s and we thought we were talking to dead people.

00:37:20.000 And we said, you know, why waste our time working with these people when we know that what we give them is not going to be implemented?

00:37:28.000 So, you know, we assume that they know, but from our experience, Alex, most of them are well behind the curve examples.

00:37:36.000 You know, look at the major corporations today and how they're suffering at so many different levels.

00:37:42.000 Gerald, I want to get into how you integrate all these different sectors of the economy, the society, how you come up with your trends that have turned out to be so accurate.

00:37:51.000 But before we do that, perhaps we should get the listeners who don't know who you are to learn a little bit about Gerald Salanting, how you got into this particular field and became a leader in it, or the leader in it, and basically some of the predictions that you've made that have been so accurate and basically some of the predictions that you've made that have been so accurate and where you see us going, fleshing out the discussions that you've had about basically complete breakdown of society and

00:38:20.000 Well, the way I began my career, after graduate school, I managed the mayoral campaign for the fellow running for office in Yonkers, New York.

00:38:30.000 It was 1971.

00:38:33.000 And, um, from there, they sent me up to Albany.

00:38:37.000 I did such a great job.

00:38:39.000 I was the assistant to the Secretary of the New York State Senate.

00:38:43.000 Which, by the way, was the worst job I ever had. 0.76

00:38:46.000 You know, it's a disgusting spectacle to see grown men grovel.

00:38:50.000 Particularly from a kid that was grown up in the Bronx. 0.52

00:38:54.000 You know, you'd watch all these people.

00:38:56.000 I'd be talking to a buddy, you know, and we'd be in the chambers, in the Senate chambers, and a senator would walk in.

00:39:02.000 My buddy would leave me to go help the senator sit down, you know, pull his chair out, you know.

00:39:07.000 So my friend would come back, I'd say, what's the matter?

00:39:09.000 You know, the guy can't sit down on his own, he needs some help.

00:39:13.000 So that was my, I got to see the insides of government from there.

00:39:18.000 I went to St.

00:39:19.000 John's University, and I taught probably one of the nation's first courses in American politics and campaign technology in 1972.

00:39:28.000 From there, I went to Chicago, and I was a government affairs specialist working for segments of the chemical industry and other parts of the industry, and between Washington and Chicago.

00:39:39.000 As a matter of fact, I was in D.C.

00:39:42.000 when the first energy crisis hit in 1973.

00:39:48.000 Jimmy Carter later becomes president and the Iranian conflict breaks out.

00:39:53.000 And I had been following this thing for years, Alex, and I knew how the CIA overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran, and Mosaddegh, and on and on, and how the SAVAK, the secret police of the Shah, was only second to the SS, you know, it was a brutal regime. 0.72

00:40:10.000 When the revolution started to happen in Iran, I knew it was real, because I knew of the pent-up hatred that they had against this guy.

00:40:19.000 Jimmy Carter goes to spend New Year's Eve with the Shah and his wife. 0.99

00:40:24.000 He and Rosalind.

00:40:24.000 And in those days when the President came back from overseas, it was a big deal.

00:40:28.000 He walks up to the microphones after saluting at him, walking out of the helicopter on the White House lawn.

00:40:34.000 And Jimmy Carter announced to the American people that the Shah was the island of stability in the Middle East. 0.86

00:40:41.000 At that moment, I became a political atheist.

00:40:44.000 I'd been around long enough.

00:40:46.000 I knew the game.

00:40:47.000 And then the second thing that hit me was, what will be the implications of what's going on?

00:40:54.000 And I realized that gold and oil prices would increase.

00:40:58.000 So I started to speculate in both those fields.

00:41:01.000 And I was only a kid.

00:41:02.000 I was in my early thirties, you know.

00:41:03.000 And I didn't know what the hell I was doing.

00:41:06.000 But I did know enough that I knew that the American public was getting one story, and there was a whole other story on the international scene.

00:41:15.000 I made enough money from that where I quit my job, and that's when I began the Trends Research Institute in 1980.

00:41:23.000 Always under the understanding that current events form future trends, but if I look at them, as you said going into the break, without looking at them the way I want them to be, the way I wish them or hope them to be, and just the way they are, And let the data speak for itself, then you can see a clear direction of where the future is heading.

00:41:48.000 You know, it's like going to a doctor.

00:41:50.000 You get a diagnosis.

00:41:52.000 You don't call the doctor an S.O.B.

00:41:54.000 if you don't like his economic or political diagnosis.

00:41:57.000 You accept it for what it is and work from that parameter.

00:42:00.000 And that's what we do.

00:42:01.000 We see the trends, the way they're laying out in front of us, where they're going to go, and then we work around that direction, not trying to redirect it in our minds so that we hope for something different.

00:42:17.000 Now, specifically, because we have limited time with you, I could talk to you for 10 hours, you've got so much information.

00:42:22.000 Briefly, I know you don't like to brag, but no brag is fact, as John Wayne would say, break down some of the predictions and trends, the projections that you've made that have unfortunately come true.

00:42:33.000 And I say unfortunately, because...

00:42:36.000 Your analysis is pretty much identical to mine and many other experts I'm interviewing about, on the good side, total depression, breakdown of society, police state.

00:42:45.000 On the bad side, road warrior, Mad Max, you know, 10,000 BC, just lawless third world bands of I mean, that's what you're talking about now, and that's where all the trends are headed, and government is doing everything it can to accentuate that.

00:43:03.000 So, let's break down some of your track record, and then get into what's happening currently, and then into the future, sir.

00:43:09.000 You're listening to Alex Jones with Congressman Ron Paul and trend forecaster Gerald Salente in this encore presentation of the Alex Jones Radio Show.

00:43:19.000 May I have everybody's attention, please?

00:43:25.000 I've come with a message of information.

00:43:28.000 9-11 was an inside job.

00:43:30.000 Toxic heavy metals negatively impact our health.

00:43:33.000 They're in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the products we use, and the objects we touch.

00:43:39.000 Exposure is impossible to avoid.

00:43:41.000 Heavy metals build up within the body over a period of time, causing poor health.

00:43:45.000 However, with Kilo-X, they can be mobilized and excreted in a safe and effective manner.

00:43:50.000 Key Lyrex was developed based on Dr. Alan Greenberg's clinical experience with heavy metal poisoning during his 25 years of medical practice.

00:43:57.000 Key Lyrex does not contain EDTA and is made from all natural ingredients, enhancing the body's natural mechanisms for excreting heavy metals and preventing their reabsorption.

00:44:06.000 Key Lyrex contains antioxidants to protect the liver, kidneys, central nervous system, and immune functions, and effectively mobilizes mercury and 15 other heavy metals, including aluminum.

00:47:43.000 You've got so much information.

00:47:44.000 Briefly, I know you don't like to brag, but no brag is fact.

00:47:47.000 As John Wayne would say, break down some of the predictions and trends, the projections that you've made that have unfortunately come true.

00:47:55.000 And I say unfortunately because...

00:47:58.000 Your analysis is pretty much identical to mine and many other experts I'm interviewing about, on the good side, total depression, breakdown of society, police state.

00:48:08.000 On the bad side, road warrior, Mad Max, you know, 10,000 BC, just lawless third world bands of... 1.00

00:48:20.000 I mean, that's what you're talking about now, and that's where all the trends are headed, and government is doing everything it can to accentuate that.

00:48:26.000 So, let's break down some of your track record, and then get into what's happening currently, and then into the future, sir.

00:48:31.000 Yeah, well, I guess my first big forecast came in 1980, actually it was January of 1987, and I had predicted that there'd be a stock market crash that year, and the Wall Street Journal gave me credit for that one as well.

00:48:47.000 From there, the next big one was with, in my book, Trend Tracking, as a matter of fact.

00:48:55.000 I came out and said there would be a new third party.

00:48:58.000 This was in 1988.

00:49:00.000 And for some reason, I said that Ross Perot would be the type of candidate that would head this kind of party.

00:49:06.000 In those days, nobody knew who Ross Perot was.

00:49:09.000 From there, my other big forecast in the consumer end had to do with gourmet coffees, the organic foods, water in the early 80s, a big water trend, bottled water, a whole variety of natural healing trends.

00:49:26.000 As a matter of fact, one of the early books I worked on in 1986 It was called natural healing.

00:49:32.000 So I got a very good understanding of that field as well.

00:49:35.000 And again, this is what really differentiates me from a lot of the other trend forecasters in that I get involved in a lot of the fields where I see things going and understand them at a different level.

00:49:48.000 So those are some of the things...

00:49:50.000 Then, going back into the economic crisis, we then forecast the 1990 recession, how long it would last, and the 1997 foreign currency crisis.

00:50:03.000 The dot-com crash in our Trends Journal, we said in October 1999 that by the second quarter of 2000, we would have the dot-com bubble would burst.

00:50:15.000 Then the ensuing recession, and then this past November 7th, we took out the domain name panicof08.com, and we knew that there would be the panic of 08, and we also said that in our top trends for 2008, which came out on December 17th, 2007, we said that there would be an economic 9-11.

00:50:40.000 And now we see that unfolding.

00:50:42.000 What do you see What is the best case scenario versus the worst case scenario?

00:50:47.000 I mean, take that question any way you want.

00:50:50.000 Those are just general thoughts I have.

00:50:52.000 Well, and let me back up, too, because, you know, I'm only, we're only human here, and we don't see everything, and we don't make all the calls properly.

00:51:00.000 In the 1990s, for example, we underestimated, around 1993-1994, the impact of the computer revolution and the technology boom.

00:51:12.000 Any of us that remember back then, you know, it was still in its infancy.

00:51:17.000 And they had that law, I forget the name of the law, where things increased at an exponential rate in technology, far beyond what we had ever anticipated.

00:51:29.000 So that's what's got us out of the 1990s recession, because we should have been in the shape we are in now, back then, had it not been for that technological boom.

00:51:43.000 But isn't it also, I mean, I understand for time where we're simplifying, but also they changed the banking rules in 93, 95, 99, but that also helped the bubble along.

00:51:53.000 That helped the bubble along, and that created the big bubble that burst that we're in now, as you well know.

00:51:59.000 So, just to give you the scenarios, yeah, we're saying we're going to go into a depression worse than the Great Depression, and here's why.

00:52:09.000 And then I'm going to tell you why it cannot happen, or it may not happen.

00:52:12.000 Yeah, I mean, there is a way to get out of this.

00:52:14.000 There is a way to get out of it, but not through fiscal or monetary stimulus.

00:52:18.000 If we have an alternative energy breakthrough, beyond solar, wind, geothermal, biofuel, that they like to talk about, whether it's something in coal fusion, zero-point energy, charged clusters, permanent magnets, hydrino power, something like that that's a productive enhancement.

00:52:36.000 That's as big as the discovery of fire, the invention of the wheel, then we get out of this economic mess.

00:52:43.000 A whole new market, a paradigm-shifting development.

00:52:46.000 You're saying minus that we're in deep trouble?

00:52:49.000 Minus that, we're going to go into the greatest depression, and here's why.

00:52:54.000 Back when we had the last depression, most people didn't own homes.

00:52:58.000 They didn't have all this burden that they're carrying now with taxes and everything else, insurance.

00:53:03.000 Back then, people didn't have home equity loans.

00:53:05.000 Matter of fact, you know, we're probably both old enough to know when people had something called second mortgages, they were called losers.

00:53:12.000 Back then, people didn't have credit cards.

00:53:14.000 They weren't over 14 trillion dollars in debt.

00:53:17.000 Back then, the government had a trade surplus.

00:53:21.000 We were not 700 billion dollars in the whole year.

00:53:24.000 And the people were self-sufficient.

00:53:26.000 And the people were self-sufficient.

00:53:28.000 Back then, The government was not spending $11.5 trillion and growing in the hole with a budget deficit.

00:53:39.000 Back then we had budget surpluses.

00:53:42.000 Back then we weren't costing us over $2 trillion to fight wars.

00:53:47.000 Back then we had a manufacturing base.

00:53:51.000 Gerald, you were going over why we're in such a much more precarious and weak and debilitated position than the people that went through the 10 years of the Great Depression, and then forecasting where we're going in the future.

00:53:59.000 than later on the rest of the world.

00:54:02.000 Gerald, you were going over why we're in such a much more precarious and weak and debilitated position than the people that went through the ten years of the Great Depression, and then forecasting where we're going in the future.

00:54:18.000 Please continue.

00:54:19.000 Yeah, the other thing too, and by the way, the one that you pointed out as well is very, The people are more self-sufficient then than they are now.

00:54:29.000 You know, this is like a baby state in so many ways.

00:54:34.000 And, you know, people looking for help from the government.

00:54:38.000 My God, you know, I mean, Katrina Quality Rescue Skills.

00:54:41.000 What are they looking at?

00:54:43.000 And the other thing that people need to know was during the Depression, You know, you can do some of these work project things that they talk about.

00:54:54.000 You know, we didn't have these deficits that we have now.

00:54:58.000 So to keep talking about stimulus packages, to keep talking about work project packages, where is this money going to come from?

00:55:06.000 And again, as every historian or economist knows, the only thing that got us out of that depression was World War II.

00:55:16.000 So having said that, we are looking now in the short term, here's the scenario that we see unfolding.

00:55:23.000 What we're going to see is after, we think the real breakdown is going to begin in February.

00:55:31.000 That's our forecast.

00:55:33.000 Because in February we're going to now realize the shock of what has happened from a disappointing Christmas holiday retail season.

00:55:43.000 And you think the Obama hope will fade by then as well?

00:55:49.000 Yes, for a lot of people.

00:55:51.000 It's going to fade for the people that have lost everything.

00:55:54.000 You go to all of these places around the country like the Carolinas, we had Wachovia and all these banking centers, financial centers, people living in their McMansions and having these huge, huge mortgages.

00:56:10.000 I mean, they're going to become like boarding houses as they try to get people in there so they can pay the rent and pay the taxes and pay the utilities.

00:56:18.000 So we think it's going to be February because the real data is going to come in to show how really bad this is.

00:56:25.000 Having said that, There's still going to be the element of hope that Obama is going to be able to do something, and being that they're painting him as an FDR and cloaking him in that mantle, get ready for a bank holiday.

00:56:42.000 And so, and I love the terminology, Alex, that they use, you know, holiday, holiday, you know, they make it sound so beautiful.

00:56:51.000 That means you're not going to get your money out of the bank.

00:56:54.000 And they're going to say, don't worry, it's FDIC insured, but you just can't get it out all at once.

00:56:59.000 So we are also in that camp, by the way, that we are going to see, even though it doesn't look like it now because of a variety of manipulations going on, we believe that gold is going to go into the 2,000 range, and we're going to see periods of we believe that gold is going to go into the 2,000 range, and we're going to see periods of deflation whereby all those homes out there are going to There's a glut of product everywhere.

00:57:28.000 Inflationary prices on one end and hyperinflation on the other, as I mentioned with February, because once all these retail outlets start closing, as we're already seeing, I want to break down over the next few years what he thinks government's response will be to this.

00:57:48.000 That's the next shoe to fall.

00:57:49.000 All right, long segment coming up.

00:57:51.000 I want to break down that over the next few years, what he thinks government's response will be to this, why he thinks it will push the people into open rebellion.

00:58:00.000 Our guess is Gerald Salente.

01:01:37.000 How in the world are you anyway?

01:01:38.000 This is Andy Willoughby from the 3stepplan.com home business system.

01:01:42.000 The dramatic difference with 3stepplan.com is that it does work.

01:01:47.000 And after almost five years, I think that even the most diehard skeptic would have to agree there must be something different about the 3stepplan.com home business system.

01:01:57.000 You see, we operate more like a mini franchise, so you get the expertise of people who have actually been successful working at home to help and guide you in operating your home business.

01:02:07.000 It's kind of like a McDonald's franchise, without the teenagers and big startup expense.

01:02:11.000 And of course, we don't sell hamburgers.

01:02:13.000 You do get to work with some really nice people who share similar family values.

01:03:12.000 I'm retired.

01:03:16.000 I have a good federal pension.

01:04:08.000 Here's Bob Eller.

01:04:09.000 When he created the scholarships that bear his name, diamond magnate Cecil Rhodes ordered that recipients not be merely bookworms.

01:04:16.000 Myron Rolle certainly fits that bill.

01:04:18.000 The Florida State Safety had started 32 straight games until last night, missing most of the first half against Maryland after his scholarship interview.

01:04:27.000 Rolle plans to be a neurosurgeon.

01:04:29.000 Byron White was a football star and Rhodes Scholar and went on to be a Supreme Court Justice.

01:04:35.000 Tom McMillan and Bill Bradley were Rhodes Scholars.

01:05:26.000 I'm Jody Jordan for IRN USA Radio News.

01:05:30.000 I am so frustrated.

01:05:31.000 I can't seem to remember anything anymore.

01:05:34.000 What?

01:05:34.000 Seriously, my memory and attention span is terrible.

01:05:37.000 I read something and forget!

01:05:38.000 I forget people's names, I hear all this great information on the radio and I want to tell people, but I forget!

01:05:43.000 I- Okay, slow down.

01:05:45.000 Poor attention and memory loss is not your fault.

01:05:48.000 Factors like fluoride in the water, aluminum in deodorants, genetically modified foods, the way the education system taught you. 0.79

01:05:55.000 It's all meant to dumb you down.

01:05:57.000 You know, I can remember everything now!

01:05:58.000 Even entire books!

01:05:59.000 What?

01:06:00.000 How?

01:06:00.000 There is this website called School of Phenomenal Memory.

01:06:04.000 Their online course is a real breakthrough in the field of memory improvement.

01:06:07.000 In fact, they guarantee that every single person will be able to memorize any type of information, including entire books, after they complete just 60 lessons.

01:06:17.000 And they offer a no-questions-asked, no-time-limit, money-back guarantee.

01:06:22.000 Wow.

01:06:23.000 What's the website?

01:06:24.000 Now don't forget, it's pmemory.net.

01:06:48.000 This is the Alex Jones Show.

01:06:54.000 At 877-590-5525.

01:06:58.000 Now live from Austin, Texas, here's Alex Jones.

01:07:04.000 Now I know I gotta play my hand.

01:07:18.000 Hey, I was just talking to Gerald Salente during the break.

01:07:27.000 He didn't tell me not to say this, but he'll probably get a seat in the FEMA camp for it.

01:07:31.000 Probably already will, but I didn't know he was aware of our work and said it was, um...

01:07:36.000 Well, interesting.

01:07:38.000 Well, let's just get from Gerald Salente, because I'm interested.

01:07:42.000 I really respect him, what he thinks of the work we're doing here, from the work of mine that he's seen.

01:07:48.000 Mr. Salente?

01:07:50.000 Yes, I've been following you for years, and I admire you as a man of courage.

01:07:56.000 And in these times, not many people have it anymore.

01:08:00.000 And they're always towing the party line or afraid of the implications of what they say.

01:08:05.000 And you've been a man that speaks out, you speak your mind, and you're a man of your word and your conviction.

01:08:11.000 So, you know, what's not to admire?

01:08:13.000 Well, I admire you, but I mean, look, with me it's not even courage.

01:08:17.000 And I would imagine it's the same with you, because I talk to other people that'll speak out and trailblaze.

01:08:22.000 I mean, why would you lie?

01:08:24.000 I mean, all you've got is who you are and the truth.

01:08:27.000 You know, money, power, things like that really don't matter to a well-centered person.

01:08:30.000 The truth, Veritas, is everything.

01:08:32.000 So with me, it's not even courage.

01:08:34.000 In a way, it's the opposite of courage.

01:08:37.000 I have been so freaked out by what I saw coming historically, because we repeat the same activities over and over again, that it's actually been out of fear that I've been trying to change things and trying to warn people.

01:08:50.000 And, you know, also, quote, brotherly love.

01:08:52.000 I mean, I don't like seeing people be conned.

01:08:55.000 I don't like seeing my fellow, you know, humans being hurt.

01:08:58.000 I mean, why do you do what you do, Gerald?

01:09:00.000 Because obviously, you know, you put yourself at risk doing some of the things you do.

01:09:03.000 Oh, yeah.

01:09:04.000 No, listen, you know, it's...

01:09:06.000 It's funny, when we talked about the failings of the Bush administration, we were called Bush-bashers, now we're being called Obama-bashers, you know, but it's the price that you pay.

01:09:18.000 And you said it, but what's more than your word?

01:09:20.000 I mean, for me, my belief is that when I take that last breath, I want to know that I was true to myself. 0.93

01:09:26.000 There's a great saying, you know, that whether it's the Koran, the Bible, Jesus, Muhammad, or Buddha, there is no salvation for the hypocrite. 0.98

01:09:37.000 What's the point of living if you're going to be a hypocrite? 0.89

01:09:40.000 But it really is a time for people, as they say, now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. 0.94

01:09:51.000 And this is that time, and we've never seen it more than this.

01:09:55.000 Because there is going to be that period following.

01:09:59.000 When the crime rates start going up, the first reaction is going to be, send more police out into the streets.

01:10:07.000 And so they're going to build up more and more of this.

01:10:11.000 Again, you can call what's going on now, with the government now controlling the world's largest insurance company.

01:10:18.000 The world's largest mortgage brokerage.

01:10:21.000 And now they're talking about taking over one of the largest auto companies.

01:10:27.000 And of course, now they're buying into the banks.

01:10:30.000 You could call this either socialism, communism, or fascism, but you cannot call it free enterprise or democracy.

01:10:38.000 That's right, it's total command and control.

01:10:40.000 And the break interrupted you.

01:10:42.000 You were continuing to go through how you see this unfolding and just how bad it's going to get.

01:10:50.000 at then is they're going to call a bank holiday, we believe.

01:10:54.000 And we also believe that they're going to try the same thing that FDR did with confiscating gold.

01:11:00.000 That'll be another thing because we're already hearing from the G20 members to reinstitute some format of the Brenton Woods Agreement, which of course gold was the standard.

01:11:12.000 And, But, of course, there's too much money out there, so that means gold would probably be $6,000 or $60,000 an ounce.

01:11:22.000 It would have a really, really high value.

01:11:24.000 So we think that there's going to be that kind of confiscation.

01:11:28.000 We think also that they're going to They're doing it already, they're squeezing the little people, and this is why there's going to be a revolt.

01:11:36.000 You look at, go around the country, Alex, state after state, city after city, locality after locality, they're raising taxes to make up for lost revenues.

01:11:48.000 How are the people going to pay these things when their median household income is well below $19.99 levels?

01:11:54.000 Wages are falling behind.

01:11:56.000 They're losing their jobs.

01:11:58.000 That's number one.

01:11:59.000 Here in New York, what they're doing in the city is they just hired several hundred new traffic enforcement officers so that when you're driving in New York City and if your car goes into that white space between the lines where the pedestrian walks, you get a ticket. what they're doing in the city is they just hired What they're doing is white-gloving everyone now. 0.89

01:12:21.000 Everywhere I drive in Austin, there's a cop every half mile.

01:12:24.000 Now if you go a couple miles over the speed limit, they give you a ticket.

01:12:27.000 Everything's being watched, but then they admit in major Texas papers that illegal aliens are above the law. 0.89

01:12:33.000 They don't have to have any driver's license, insurance, nothing.

01:12:37.000 Only the citizens.

01:12:38.000 And then meanwhile, traffic enforcement cops in New York have gotten in trouble because they drive the worst.

01:12:43.000 They park wherever they want.

01:12:44.000 They do whatever they want.

01:12:49.000 Well, this is why the revolt is going to take place.

01:12:51.000 You know, there's another one, too.

01:12:52.000 We're just going to assess you $20,000, everybody in the town, for new roads we're putting in.

01:12:57.000 I mean, government just is going crazy.

01:13:00.000 What's going to happen?

01:13:01.000 Well, this is why the revolt is going to take place.

01:13:03.000 You know, there's another one, too.

01:13:05.000 They've unleashed all of the people from the sales tax people, you know, going to all the small shops, the pizza shops, you know, the liquor stores, all the small people.

01:13:16.000 And they're cracking down on them, making them pay more sales tax.

01:13:22.000 IRS is going to go after more of the small people, because the too-big-to-fails, the too-big-to-control, and too-big-to-monitor.

01:13:29.000 So, this is where the revolution starts taking place, because when you're hungry, and when you're out of a job, and when you're out on the streets, you don't want to hear, yes, we can anymore.

01:13:42.000 And that's what's going to happen.

01:13:45.000 And the other thing that's going to happen as well...

01:13:48.000 And we believe that there's going to be a new third party formed around the same reasons the third parties were formed in the 19th century against the central bankers taking over the country.

01:14:01.000 And if anybody's not old enough to see what's happening or too blind to look, they better wake up.

01:14:08.000 As we said in our trend alert recently, it was a D.C.

01:14:12.000 heist.

01:14:12.000 They hijacked Washington.

01:14:15.000 And you have Henry Paulson in there from Goldman Sachs.

01:14:17.000 I love it, you know.

01:14:18.000 The liberals, you know, they bash Bush and Cheney.

01:14:22.000 You know that Cheney has ties to Halliburton.

01:14:25.000 Yeah, how about, you know, who did Obama bring in as his new team, his transition team in there to look for the economy?

01:14:32.000 Robert Rubin and Larry Summers.

01:14:35.000 They're the guys that changed the rules to do all of this.

01:14:39.000 Exactly.

01:14:40.000 The other ones that put the nail in the glass steagle act, that allowed the banksters to be running wild as they are now, and also to put all these phony little gambling games like derivatives... Well, here's the $64 million question, then.

01:14:58.000 Why did Kashkari even go up before the House and basically admit they took the $5 trillion, not $700 billion?

01:15:04.000 They're not telling anybody where it went.

01:15:06.000 And then he started laughing at them.

01:15:08.000 I mean, I've never even in modern history, or even in Rome, with Caligula, you know, marrying his horse, seen this type of craziness where it's like they're wanting to push us into rebellion.

01:15:22.000 Exactly.

01:15:23.000 And this is the same thing.

01:15:24.000 I mean, the same thing happened in France, you know.

01:15:29.000 They are living In a world that is... I was on MSNBC one time recently, during the elections, and Mitt Romney was still in the race and he came out with his Shining City on the Hill kind of thing, trying to mimic Reagan.

01:15:46.000 And the host said to me, well, isn't Governor Romney correct in what he's saying?

01:15:52.000 Shouldn't we be more hopeful?

01:15:54.000 This was last year, and I said, this year actually, but earlier.

01:15:58.000 And I said, you know, I said, this guy doesn't go to the gas station and pump his own gas.

01:16:03.000 He doesn't go shopping in Stop and Shop and watch the prices of cut coupons.

01:16:08.000 They don't have a clue what's going on.

01:16:11.000 And that's what's going on over here.

01:16:13.000 Let them eat cake.

01:16:14.000 You're listening to Alex Jones with Congressman Ron Paul and trend forecaster Gerald Salente in this encore presentation of the Alex Jones Radio Show.

01:20:40.000 Studying trends, how bad is it going to get?

01:20:44.000 We were progressing there.

01:20:46.000 We've gotten up to February.

01:20:48.000 Moving forward, break down what you see happening.

01:20:52.000 So we think the first cracks are going to become very evident in February.

01:20:56.000 When the cold winter sets in, people are going to feel the hardship.

01:21:00.000 From then on, it's going to go downhill from there.

01:21:04.000 We're going to see the real estate market's going to bust out completely.

01:21:08.000 And again, the next big shoot-a-fall, here they come, is going to be the commercial real estate sector.

01:21:14.000 This is what we wrote in the Trends Journal last year before this all happened.

01:21:18.000 We said the subprime problem was merely the cracks at the bottom of the foundation.

01:21:22.000 Matter of fact, you can see that on a clip that I did in December of 2007.

01:21:26.000 We said, you know, this stuff about the subprime.

01:21:31.000 Wait till all these hedge funds, and how about these leveraged buyout firms like Sabiris and Carlyle Group and Blackstone that were buying up multi-billion dollar companies with no money down?

01:21:44.000 How about all these real estate developers?

01:21:46.000 And credit default swaps and credit cards and just everything.

01:21:50.000 Exactly.

01:21:50.000 So now you look at the commercial sector, as I said, you're seeing now after the retail hit comes, you're going to start seeing ghost malls.

01:21:59.000 Who's going to occupy these things?

01:22:01.000 But here's the positive end, and I want to make this very clear.

01:22:05.000 As the giants fall, they're going to leave big gaps left behind.

01:22:12.000 And that's for the entrepreneurs to move into these slots.

01:22:16.000 You see, what's happening, Alex, is this is, by the way, more than just the collapse of the markets.

01:22:22.000 This is the decline of Empire America.

01:22:26.000 This whole corporate model is built upon growth and expansion.

01:22:31.000 Let's take first the retail sector.

01:22:34.000 They get their money and their stock, people to buy stock in them, by the amount of new stores they're building each year, their expansion.

01:22:42.000 Now they're in decline.

01:22:43.000 It's not as though these are brilliant managers at increasing in-store sales.

01:22:48.000 That's not happening.

01:22:49.000 You're saying we've got to switch to innovation, not just growth and expansion.

01:22:53.000 Exactly, and they don't know how to do that.

01:22:55.000 As we were talking earlier, I get frustrated working with large corporations.

01:23:01.000 The innovation is not part of their DNA.

01:23:04.000 If they were, they wouldn't be them.

01:23:05.000 All they know how to do is make money.

01:23:08.000 That doesn't make you smart, it makes you shrewd.

01:23:11.000 So there are very different things here.

01:23:13.000 So this is going to be a great opportunity. 0.99

01:23:15.000 Something old and ugly is dying that deserves to die.

01:23:20.000 Now let's take it to the other level, agriculture.

01:23:23.000 The agricultural model is built upon producing massive amounts of product and then shipping it far distances.

01:23:31.000 Guess what?

01:23:32.000 Can't do that anymore.

01:23:33.000 This is a great time for local.

01:23:36.000 Local communities buy local.

01:23:39.000 If the people want to thrive and survive in these times, they have to put their focus locally.

01:23:44.000 Support everything you can locally.

01:23:46.000 Don't buy a thing that you don't have to.

01:23:49.000 And by the way, people ask me, you know, what should I do? 0.99

01:23:54.000 The first thing you do is call up whatever town you're living in and tell them to shut the damn lights. 0.99

01:23:58.000 lights off that are lighting up all these municipal buildings. 0.99

01:24:02.000 It costs money.

01:24:03.000 You know, my father, he was seven of us.

01:24:05.000 I grew up in the Bronx.

01:24:06.000 And may his soul rest in peace, he used to say to us, shut the lights off.

01:24:12.000 What do you think I have a pull with Edison?

01:24:14.000 Shut the lights off.

01:24:16.000 Stop. 1.00

01:24:17.000 I don't want to pay for this stupidity. 1.00

01:24:19.000 So this is where we're going. 1.00

01:24:21.000 And then we're going to start seeing the tax revolts.

01:24:24.000 You can't raise taxes when people are out of work and their incomes are declining.

01:24:30.000 Who do these people think they are?

01:24:31.000 Well, what you said earlier is happening already.

01:24:35.000 Bush tripled the size of government, Obama's promising to expand it even more, and they're hiring more cops, more bureaucrats, more, more, more, and we just don't have it!

01:24:44.000 What is it you don't understand?

01:24:46.000 Exactly.

01:24:46.000 So then they're going to understand the same way they did with the French Revolution.

01:24:51.000 We're going to have a revolution.

01:24:53.000 By the way, in our future forecast, we can see the country splitting up into either regions or separate states pulling out.

01:25:00.000 Because this country, again, you could go back to our Trends Journal.

01:25:06.000 It was the Fall Edition 2002.

01:25:09.000 The headline read, Empire America Fading Fast.

01:25:13.000 We're going the way of the former Soviet Union. 0.95

01:25:17.000 We're going to see this country break up.

01:25:19.000 For anybody to think that these people in Washington are intelligent, more intelligent than they are.

01:25:27.000 Well, Mr. Solente, a lot of them are people worth billions of dollars that I know that live in Austin that I've met personally.

01:25:36.000 They have fled the country in the last three years, and their inside info, and I was saying this three years ago, the United States, quote, won't be here economically, and that's the term you're using is a post-industrial, a post-first world nation.

01:25:52.000 Yeah, and we call it an underdeveloping nation.

01:25:56.000 And they're going to do the things that they do in other underdeveloping nations, for example, like in Argentina, when the currency busts out.

01:26:04.000 You can't get your money out of the bank.

01:26:06.000 And they'll do a fake flag thing, you know.

01:26:09.000 They'll blame something else for the problem.

01:26:12.000 I mean, I love this Obama and his speech, you know, how, you know, yes, we can.

01:26:16.000 We don't count.

01:26:17.000 If they were listening to the we, Well, let's stop right there.

01:26:25.000 Let's stop right there.

01:26:26.000 You talk about a false flag, some type of staged event or group of staged events to keep the slaves rallied around the bankers while they slit our throats?

01:26:35.000 You got it.

01:26:36.000 You know, look, there's nothing that they say that I believe.

01:26:40.000 Read my lips.

01:26:41.000 No new taxes. 0.91

01:26:42.000 I didn't have sex with that woman Monica Lewinsky. 1.00

01:26:44.000 I smoked, but I didn't inhale.

01:26:46.000 I'm no crook.

01:26:48.000 You know, Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction and ties to Al-Qaeda.

01:26:52.000 What am I, a kid?

01:26:53.000 I'm going to believe these people?

01:26:54.000 Well, it just came out again that every TV station that Congress looked at is broadcasting fake news.

01:27:01.000 They were paid to lie.

01:27:03.000 And you know, one example is every year before school, you see the same newscast on every channel, same words.

01:27:08.000 And I knew it was paid for then, but now they admit it and they say it's the law to take vaccines.

01:27:12.000 There is no law.

01:27:13.000 I mean, that's how bankrupt and evil and corrupt and they aren't going to stop now.

01:27:18.000 Now, what about pension funds?

01:27:21.000 You talk about Argentina, you talk about other countries.

01:27:23.000 They are now saying, hey, we want to take over the pension funds, the 401ks to What's your take on that?

01:27:31.000 Again, you know, as I said, you could call it communist, fascist, or socialist, but you can't call it democracy or free market.

01:27:40.000 They will do anything.

01:27:42.000 And so, yeah, I don't put that past them.

01:27:47.000 Well, Congress just had hearings last week saying they're looking at it, taxing them, taking part of them.

01:27:52.000 They're going to take your private 401k and then the Social Security Administration is going to send you a check.

01:27:58.000 I mean, what are the... So you're saying you really think they're delusional in government and they just think we're going to go along with this?

01:28:04.000 Well, yeah.

01:28:05.000 I mean, again, you know, look at who these people are.

01:28:07.000 I love it.

01:28:07.000 They're just saying, you know, now that, you know, the Democrats are in power over here, you know, now that we'll be able to get something done.

01:28:13.000 I mean, who's going to get what done?

01:28:14.000 Pelosi?

01:28:15.000 Reed, Dodd, Frank?

01:28:17.000 How about Laurel and Artie and Abbott and Costello?

01:28:20.000 What have these people ever done?

01:28:21.000 Who could get away with this stuff?

01:28:24.000 Except Steele.

01:28:25.000 Except Steele.

01:28:27.000 Why do you think... And make bad decisions.

01:28:30.000 I mean, who could... None of us would be employed if we screwed up as much as they did.

01:28:36.000 So, I mean, you know, there's the yesterday Obama, you know, they broadcast that thing on 60 Minutes.

01:28:41.000 And, you know, about the economy.

01:28:43.000 And he said, he'll do whatever it takes.

01:28:46.000 Well, what's whatever?

01:28:48.000 Well, that means nationalizing industries, stealing everything the middle class has got.

01:28:54.000 Folks are going to point the poor, uneducated people at the middle class.

01:28:57.000 They're going to rob the middle class. 0.97

01:29:00.000 And they're planning on all of this.

01:29:03.000 We'll talk more about it on the other side and take your phone calls with our amazing guest, Gerald Salenti.

01:33:38.000 Okay, we're going to go to Steve, Tyler, Mike, Casey, Aaron, and others.

01:33:51.000 Please have your question ready for myself or the guest, Gerald Cilente, one of the top trim forecasters in the world.

01:34:02.000 I mean, that last question, we're here marveling at this.

01:34:06.000 They have increased the police force six, seven-fold the last 15 years.

01:34:12.000 They have prepared this MIT surveillance grid, the cameras, the license plate reading systems.

01:34:17.000 They say they're getting ready for revolts.

01:34:19.000 They're moving NORTHCOM brigades in, saying we're under military occupation.

01:34:25.000 So the government at the top does know it's going to be unpopular and that the raping of the middle class is going to be unpopular.

01:34:32.000 But they're going to use the poor, dumbed-down, who means well, middle-lower class or whatever, and the blue-collar.

01:34:40.000 color folks to kind of sick them on the middle class is what i'm seeing i see that class warfare uh being shut up what do you see gerald salenta they're going to try that but it's not going to work because you know they're going to be very angry at all levels of society because there's not going to be any money out there the government's going to become the common enemy and a matter of fact we see the republicans and the democrats working together very closely

01:35:06.000 you know to defeat the common enemy which is going to be the common man and And that's what we see the battle shaping up in the coming years.

01:35:15.000 That's why we see such incredible integration of both parties, because they work for the very same interest.

01:35:15.000 That's right.

01:35:21.000 Exactly.

01:35:21.000 They both work for the Wall Street mob.

01:35:23.000 You just have different divisions.

01:35:25.000 You have the Goldman Sachs group over in D.C.

01:35:29.000 You have the J.P.

01:35:31.000 Morgan mob over in New York.

01:35:35.000 It's just different members of the crime family.

01:35:38.000 You've got Gambino and the Genovese.

01:35:40.000 So, in closing, before we go to call, sir, You know, basic trends.

01:35:45.000 2009 starts accelerating, more and more layoffs, confidence lost.

01:35:51.000 You talk about total implosion by 2012.

01:35:54.000 What will it look like?

01:35:55.000 Crime is going to be rampant.

01:35:57.000 And it's going to be also a time, and I really want to make this, because there's a positive end of this, because something old and ugly is dying and something new could be born.

01:36:14.000 This is going to be, this could be the time for a renaissance.

01:36:18.000 It doesn't have to end ugly.

01:36:20.000 Because one thing America has, and I travel the world, I mean, you know, people still look to America for the place of innovation.

01:36:26.000 They don't know how bad it is over here.

01:36:28.000 They don't know how everybody's become so corporatized.

01:36:32.000 But the thing is that we have more than any other nation the ability to turn this around and turn it into a positive.

01:36:42.000 And the way it becomes a positive is if we break away from one size rules all.

01:36:49.000 So if we start going back to states' rights, to local rights, and then also, Alex, necessity is the mother of invention.

01:37:00.000 Great things could happen from this.

01:37:03.000 We're stagnant, we're decadent, we're dying.

01:37:05.000 This is like getting a fever that burns out the infection.

01:37:09.000 But, so that's the big challenge.

01:37:11.000 Do we let the globalists, the New World Order, use the crisis to sell total control, or do we do a judo move and use this attack against them to fully discredit them and have a true renaissance?

01:37:24.000 And that's, by the way, the foundation of the work at the Trends Research Institute.

01:37:24.000 Precisely.

01:37:29.000 We provide the trends.

01:37:30.000 We provide the lifeboats.

01:37:34.000 But once you get into it, then you have to use your own skills, imagination, and ingenuity to navigate the open sea.

01:37:42.000 Yeah, this isn't some master control thing.

01:37:46.000 So, we believe that every human is endowed with a unique individual gift.

01:37:46.000 Exactly.

01:37:54.000 And when you are free to bring that out, that's the renaissance.

01:38:00.000 And that has not happened We've become all corporatized, homogenized, and, and, and, and, I mean, what is this?

01:38:09.000 This is a McDonald's and a Burger King.

01:38:11.000 Yeah, they're like androids.

01:38:13.000 The public has literally taken on a false reality.

01:38:16.000 Now that nightmare, hopefully is about to end.

01:38:18.000 Go to trendsresearch.com.

01:38:20.000 You can subscribe to his trends tracking publication, the Trends Journal.

01:38:26.000 Again, trendsresearch.com.

01:38:29.000 My website's infowars.com.

01:38:31.000 Gerald Salente is our guest.

01:38:33.000 We're going to go ahead and go to your phone calls now.

01:38:37.000 Steve in Texas, you're on the air.

01:38:37.000 Thank you for holding.

01:38:39.000 Go ahead.

01:38:40.000 Yes, sir.

01:38:43.000 Go ahead.

01:38:45.000 With the trend of big government that we've had in the last eight years, and which will probably continue under the reign of Obama, do you see Obama, or somebody like him being in office for more than eight years, repeal the constitutional amendment that prevents a president being in there for Absolutely, and hype dissipates a lot faster now.

01:39:03.000 He's going to end up very unpopular.

01:39:06.000 You know, people are putting more into this than it is.

01:39:09.000 I mean, let's remember, he only got 52% of the vote.

01:39:12.000 What was it when FDR came in, Alex?

01:39:14.000 It was like 80% the second time around or something?

01:39:16.000 Absolutely, and hype dissipates a lot faster now.

01:39:20.000 The people aren't very sophisticated in knowing they're being lied to, but more than ever, they know they're being lied to, and so they want instant gratification.

01:39:29.000 If Obama doesn't deliver them to Valhalla instantly, they're going to turn against him.

01:39:35.000 Gerald?

01:39:36.000 Yes, I agree with you.

01:39:38.000 Not instantly.

01:39:40.000 We give him at least six months.

01:39:42.000 I mean, we could be wrong on this.

01:39:44.000 But again, the people are so desperate, they're so desperate that they buy lines from a presidential reality show.

01:39:52.000 Oh, by the way, I have to make this point.

01:39:54.000 Obama, this was an Oprah production.

01:39:59.000 I've been on every major TV show and I've been on Oprah twice.

01:40:03.000 Nobody doesn't like Oprah.

01:40:05.000 She's the queen of TV, hands down. 0.96

01:40:07.000 You go back to December when Oprah started to support Obama, the whole stage, the whole scenery, the whole performance changed.

01:40:18.000 She took over.

01:40:19.000 She took over.

01:40:21.000 She's got a church now, so she can put her money through that. 1.00

01:40:21.000 She wants global power. 1.00

01:40:24.000 I don't want to use the term launder, but clean it up.

01:40:27.000 She's got a two million person church.

01:40:28.000 and then you saw it after election day, election eve.

01:40:33.000 You know, this great staging.

01:40:34.000 She wants global power. 1.00

01:40:36.000 She's got a church now so she can put her money through that. 1.00

01:40:40.000 And I don't want to use the term launder, but, you know, clean it up.

01:40:44.000 And she's got a two million person church. 0.67

01:40:46.000 She wants a global religion. 0.98

01:40:48.000 I mean, this girl is, we ain't seen nothing yet, huh?

01:40:52.000 So that's why I'm saying not to sell it so short.

01:40:55.000 Because this is a country that loves the reality show, and they certainly love the presidential reality show.

01:41:00.000 Well, by instantly, I meant like six months to a year in the scheme.

01:41:03.000 Yeah, we're probably talking around the same period.

01:41:06.000 Alright, anything else there, Steven?

01:41:09.000 Oh, no, thanks.

01:41:10.000 You all have a wonderful day.

01:41:11.000 Thank you.

01:41:11.000 Let's cram Tyler in California in.

01:41:14.000 You're on the air.

01:41:15.000 Go ahead.

01:41:15.000 Hey, what's going on, Mr. Jones?

01:41:16.000 I just wanted to say, how are you guys doing?

01:41:18.000 Fine, go ahead.

01:41:19.000 Good.

01:41:19.000 Hey, my question is, I am a reservist.

01:41:23.000 I am an active reservist.

01:41:25.000 I'm using my GI Bill to get my degree in history.

01:41:30.000 And my family is small business owners and a rental construction equipment business owner.

01:41:36.000 And according to my dad and some other guys in the business field, that things have The economy started to slow down.

01:41:43.000 Nobody's building anything anymore.

01:41:45.000 People aren't doing like lawn and garden type things.

01:41:48.000 They're not taking care of the yard because they don't have money to.

01:41:50.000 Yeah, it's dead.

01:41:51.000 They better sell all that equipment now, even though it's already been depreciated because of the recession.

01:41:55.000 We're going into depression.

01:41:56.000 They need to get rid of everything now, Gerald.

01:41:59.000 Absolutely.

01:42:01.000 We're not telling him what to do, but it's not going to get better.

01:42:05.000 It's only going to get a lot worse.

01:42:07.000 When you talk about gardens, during World War II they had victory gardens.

01:42:12.000 We should start thinking in those terms again. 1.00

01:42:14.000 Stop ripping up these stupid lawns with grass that you can't eat. 0.99

01:42:18.000 smoke and put something productive down there, you know, like berry bushes and vegetables. 1.00

01:42:24.000 That's right.

01:42:24.000 Forty years ago, even everybody had a garden in their front yard, but now the corporate said it wasn't trendy, so you can't do it.

01:42:30.000 Exactly.

01:42:31.000 So really start thinking in terms of survival.

01:42:34.000 These are survival times.

01:42:36.000 The winter's coming.

01:42:37.000 Prepare for it.

01:42:39.000 You know, about going to, getting a degree in history.

01:42:44.000 You know, we're recommending to people that, you know, if you have a kid going to school and they're not getting a degree in like, let's say, medical field... Hold on, give us that advice after the break.

01:42:54.000 Final segment with our guest.

01:42:56.000 You're listening to Alex Jones with Congressman Ron Paul and trend forecaster Gerald Salenti in this encore presentation of the Alex Jones Radio Show.

01:47:37.000 Or a chemist, because those jobs you need, a college degree, you're really taught something.

01:47:46.000 But fine arts or history, folks, you can forget it.

01:47:50.000 You're not going to have a job in the foreseeable future with that.

01:47:53.000 And you do a lot better going out and learning how to be an exterminator or learning how to mow lawns.

01:48:00.000 Explain this to people.

01:48:02.000 Well, you hit it right on the head.

01:48:03.000 I mean, people spending this kind of money for art history, psychology, business administration, you know, economics.

01:48:11.000 I mean, my God, you know, get into the workforce and do like they did in the old days. 0.98

01:48:15.000 Find yourself a master and become an apprentice, not the Donald Trump junk. 0.95

01:48:21.000 You know, real business.

01:48:23.000 And learn from the ground up, because people that are going to debt to send their kids into the college industrial complex are just throwing money away.

01:48:30.000 And here's the most important part of it.

01:48:32.000 The college industrial complex is built upon, again, the old model of filling people for the corporate field.

01:48:40.000 That whole corporate paradigm is now dying and the colleges are still geared up to filling that.

01:48:46.000 So, you know, I mean, people sending their kids to a school because it has a great language course.

01:48:50.000 Send the kids to the country where they want to speak the language, and let them work and they'll learn it there, or get Rosetta Stone, but don't spend $40,000, or send them to the community college.

01:49:01.000 Yeah, we're seeing a giant paradigm shift, and take Joe the Plumber.

01:49:05.000 That guy's making a couple hundred grand a year.

01:49:08.000 He's a plumber.

01:49:09.000 I know people that own lawn companies, plumber companies, that are small, and they're living better than I am.

01:49:14.000 And then I see these yuppies with two, three, four degrees, and they're working at the local grocery store.

01:49:20.000 Absolutely.

01:49:21.000 Where are they going to get a job?

01:49:22.000 You get out of college, you're going to go to work for the sports authority?

01:49:26.000 The thing about working the lawns, again, now you go into business and you say, listen, we're going to turn your lawn into a productive piece of real estate.

01:49:36.000 I'm Italian descent.

01:49:39.000 We spent our times in the backyards, my grandfather, with grape arbors and rabbits and the whole thing.

01:49:47.000 I mean, it's a beautiful setting, rather than these sterile looking nothing, chemically treated lawns that are good for nothing.

01:49:55.000 So that's the kind of innovation.

01:49:57.000 Again, Alex, I can't express it or stress it enough.

01:50:01.000 This is the time for innovation.

01:50:03.000 And the people that think for themselves, and by the way, that's the motto of the Trends Research Institute, think for yourselves.

01:50:09.000 You're going to be ahead because once everybody rushes in, then you're just going to be able to survive instead of capitalizing on the future and getting out ahead, ladies and gentlemen.

01:50:19.000 I mean, this is all about survival, about telling the truth, but studying the globalists, studying trends, studying the real world, it's a way to make a lot of money, isn't it, Gerald?

01:50:29.000 You're going to make more money now than you will before because every schmo was in the game before because of all the cheap money.

01:50:37.000 Now the intelligent people, this is a time for people who think for themselves, that are Let's go ahead and talk to Casey.

01:50:44.000 Oh, Casey just hung up. 0.96

01:50:45.000 Let's talk to Aaron in Hawaii.

01:50:46.000 You're on the air.

01:50:47.000 These are the best of times for the people of a higher moral character.

01:50:51.000 Let's jam in a few final calls and let our amazing guests go, who you will hear from again.

01:50:56.000 Let's go ahead and talk to Casey.

01:50:59.000 Casey just hung up.

01:51:00.000 Let's talk to Aaron in Hawaii.

01:51:02.000 You're on the air.

01:51:03.000 Then we'll talk to Sheila, and that's it.

01:51:05.000 Go ahead, Aaron.

01:51:06.000 Aloha.

01:51:07.000 Aloha.

01:51:08.000 I just wanted to ask about, they want to take over our 401Ks, and about a month ago my husband and I said we want out of the stock market, we want to sell all our stocks, and that was about six weeks ago, and they're not giving, I mean they lost 60% of the value by that time, but they're not paying, they're just keep giving us excuses on why we haven't gotten the money for that yet.

01:51:36.000 Listen, I'll tell you why they give you excuses.

01:51:38.000 Because a lot of them don't have the money.

01:51:40.000 And I can tell you a problem that I had.

01:51:43.000 I took all my money out of the bank.

01:51:45.000 You should see the song and dance I got.

01:51:49.000 I mean, I had to go through.

01:51:50.000 I mean, I had witnesses.

01:51:51.000 I had to take a witness with me to get my money out of the bank because I was having such a tough time.

01:51:57.000 I didn't want to get arrested.

01:51:58.000 And that's how bad it is now. 0.99

01:52:00.000 I don't even have that much money and I try to take some out to pay payrolls in emergency and the bastards wouldn't even give me like 10 grand. 0.98

01:52:08.000 They had to sign all these things, you know. 0.98

01:52:10.000 I mean, it was a real song and dance.

01:52:13.000 So that's why they're not giving you your money.

01:52:15.000 They're trying to stall you, and they're going to tell you, they're going to give you all the reasons why you shouldn't take it out.

01:52:21.000 Well, the big money guys pull all their money out.

01:52:23.000 See, they're only waiting while they get all their assets out.

01:52:26.000 You got it.

01:52:27.000 He's talking about bank runs by, what, next February?

01:52:32.000 Yes, we see them happening by February.

01:52:34.000 All right.

01:52:35.000 Okay, anything else, Erin?

01:52:38.000 Should we keep our money in the bank?

01:52:40.000 Absolutely not.

01:52:41.000 Well, you know, I can't tell you what you to do, but I'll tell you what I do.

01:52:45.000 We only keep enough money in the banks for our operating expenses.

01:52:50.000 That's what I do.

01:52:50.000 As soon as it hits a certain level, it's out.

01:52:54.000 Yeah, that's what we do.

01:52:54.000 And, of course, I'm not really in the job to even capitalize.

01:52:57.000 Our job is getting the word out.

01:52:59.000 So we don't have that big of a problem with a bunch of surplus.

01:53:01.000 But we keep in there what we need to operate.

01:53:03.000 But if they have a bank holiday, my office may even shut down, folks.

01:53:08.000 You may hear us on air saying, send us money, send us money, because that's the type of situation.

01:53:12.000 I mean, talk about confidence being lost, Gerald.

01:53:15.000 What's going to happen if they do do that?

01:53:17.000 Well, again, you know, they don't do these things that overtly.

01:53:19.000 You know, they always put smoke screens around it.

01:53:22.000 They're going to tell everybody how How good it is for them, how we're salvaging the problem, and blaming somebody else, you know, they'll blame, and you know, the majority of the sheeple will believe it.

01:53:34.000 Yeah, one more call.

01:53:35.000 Appreciate the call, Aaron.

01:53:36.000 Sheila in California, you're on the air with Gerald Salente.

01:53:39.000 You can go to his website at TrendsResearch.com.

01:53:42.000 Excellent, thank you.

01:53:44.000 I'm kind of new to your show, so you may have addressed this before, but it's a two-part question.

01:53:51.000 And what it has to deal with is, with the bankers getting their bailouts and there's pretty much no accountability, there's talk of many, I know, that say, well, I'm in debt at this point in time, and I'm a renter, and why should I pay my credit card debt, my student loans, etc.

01:54:05.000 Why shouldn't I just take my credit cards, put it into a debt settlement, Unless in my load.

01:54:11.000 And I'm asking this question because what I want to know is, is there any laws that you all are aware of that say, you know, those who do this have to pay it off in civil service or whatever?

01:54:21.000 Yes, they're trying to strengthen it where the little guy has to pay back, but the big bankers and others don't have to.

01:54:27.000 But a lot of people are purposefully running up cards.

01:54:30.000 They're rebelling.

01:54:31.000 It's kind of like a tax revolt, but it's overall a credit revolt.

01:54:37.000 Gerald?

01:54:38.000 Well, let's remember who's the one that put in these pernicious bankruptcy laws was Joe Biden, the governor of the loophole state, Delaware.

01:54:47.000 You know, he was the one that made it so hard for everybody but gives the big guys the break.

01:54:52.000 But don't forget, they're going to go after you no matter what.

01:54:55.000 These are people that know no bounds.

01:54:58.000 You know, if they'll get your first child, if that's what they have to do, it's not going to be an easy ride to get off the hook.

01:55:05.000 Yeah, people keep saying, well, why should I have gold?

01:55:07.000 They might come take it.

01:55:08.000 There's no perfect world.

01:55:09.000 We're talking about getting the best position you can, Gerald.

01:55:13.000 Yeah, listen, I own both gold and guns, so...

01:55:18.000 I'm going to let you go.

01:55:19.000 We're going to be back up in another month.

01:55:20.000 You've agreed to do that.

01:55:21.000 We appreciate it.

01:55:21.000 the Trends Research Institute and my own properties, that I'm totally invested in that.

01:55:26.000 Conservatively, and I'm going to let you go, and we're going to be back up in another month.

01:55:30.000 You've agreed to do that.

01:55:31.000 We appreciate it.

01:55:31.000 When do you think gold's going to hit $2,000?

01:55:34.000 You know, it's hard to say because, as you know, these markets are being manipulated in front of our eyes.

01:55:39.000 Remember, they wouldn't allow short selling.

01:55:41.000 The game is being rigged.

01:55:43.000 It's not even pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

01:55:45.000 There's no hat.

01:55:46.000 So we know that they are report after report of banks buying tens of thousands of COMEX gold futures.

01:55:55.000 shorting them, actually, not buying them, selling them to keep the prices down.

01:56:00.000 We believe that they're going to try to put these G20 talks that are going on, because once people start buying gold, then all of the fiat paper currencies, the fiat currencies are going to be worth nothing.

01:56:14.000 The worst thing that the governments around the world are going to fear are people buying gold.

01:56:20.000 And by the way, go to any of the websites of the big gold traders, Monix, Gitco, whatever.

01:56:25.000 They're sold out, they're selling for premiums.

01:56:27.000 And they're selling for premiums, and they're telling you you can't get delivery until a long time.

01:56:32.000 Because there's a shortage of supply, and the shortage of supply is worldwide.

01:56:37.000 And that shows the manipulation.

01:56:38.000 You have gold down by a hundred and something bucks, now going back up.

01:56:42.000 Meanwhile, there's 30, 40, 50 percent premiums, and you can't get it.

01:56:45.000 I mean, talk about global manipulation!

01:56:48.000 Exactly, so what we're saying is, you know, gold is, and again, we could be wrong, you know, we don't walk on water, and we're only human, but I'm putting, you know, I'm telling you what I do and what I believe, and I put all my investment capital is in gold.

01:57:04.000 What about silver?

01:57:09.000 purposes as well.

01:57:10.000 And gold, you know, I would say both of them.

01:57:13.000 But I know gold.

01:57:14.000 I've been following gold.

01:57:15.000 My first buy of gold was in 1978 at 187.50 an ounce.

01:57:21.000 And, you know, I've been buying it and following it since that time.

01:57:26.000 So I really am not that well-versed in silver as I am.

01:57:30.000 I understand.
