00:02:41.000 And what they do with that Is the way the laws are written in other states, what they've tried to pass in Texas since 2000, they've tried over and over again.

00:02:52.000 What they're trying to do is pass laws where a grandfather can't give his grandson a .22 rifle.

00:02:59.000 They're trying to pass laws where your father dies and you can't be given his guns.

00:03:05.000 It's got to be gone to the feds and transferred to you.

00:03:43.000 It's now national news, what happened in Austin, where they shut down the Austin Gun Show.

00:03:47.000 First they denied that, now they said they did it through nuisance abatement or the crack house law.

00:03:52.000 So we're going to be breaking that down more, and I want to just remind listeners that I get so tied down... Yeah, that's McClatchy Newspapers.

00:04:07.000 Try to give me the Fox one where it actually says, um, jail time or jail time for Garage Sales Fox News.

00:04:50.000 So the police under federal control, and Ace Veda obviously supports this, the police chief, are just saying, we don't care, we're going to do what we want to do, we don't care, we can't pass this through the legislature, so we're just going to do this.

00:05:04.000 And the Attorney General needs to get involved with what's happening in Austin, because the police are, quote, the authorities.

00:05:11.000 And they just start making stuff up, and I know a lot of police officers are upset about this.

00:05:15.000 I've got a lot of emails from Austin Police, phone calls from Austin Police, and we've had calls from police all over the country.

00:05:21.000 They don't like this.

00:05:22.000 In national polls, 98% in a police survey a few years ago believe in the Second Amendment, believe we need less laws, not more.

00:05:29.000 So, there are a lot of good police out there, but there are a lot of bad ones being protected and bad ones being promoted.

00:05:38.000 And so I don't want to paint with a broad brush here, but the leadership is bad and is out of control.

00:05:43.000 And Arte Cerveda may think that he can have warrantless checkpoints for blood.

00:05:47.000 He couldn't.

00:05:49.000 He went to the legislature, got them to pass a law they could take blood without warrants.

00:05:52.000 But I've talked to local judges and others.

00:05:54.000 They say it will be overturned by the Texas Supreme Court.

00:05:56.000 But for the time being, he's out there.

00:05:59.000 And he really believes, you know, that we'll save some people if we do this.

00:06:02.000 You don't go down that road.

00:06:08.000 Going back to Police Chief Art Acevedo and the fact that we're going to be protesting tonight down at the Austin Police Department.

00:19:57.000 Even with any regulations, gun store owners we talk with said they'll always be careful about who they sell to.
