00:14:01.000 And so I was very reticent in the last two days as they announced that the rebels were at the gates, but it appears that at least a part of this is true.

00:14:12.000 Now, it'd be one thing if they went in and had elections and the people of Libya were allowed to move forward into the future.

00:14:21.000 The problem is they had a British-backed monarchy dictatorship there before Qaddafi staged his coup forty years ago and that regime brutally kept the tribes from killing each other.

00:14:36.000 The different, I don't know, there's more than five different tribes in the region.

00:14:41.000 Three of the tribes were loyal to Qaddafi.

00:14:44.000 The other two groups out of eastern Libya or more Saudi Arabian and Yemen backed And now they have been going into every town and city they've taken and just murdering people in mass. 0.75

02:43:02.000 They're facing the mid-September deadline when the United Nations Security Council resolution runs out.

02:43:09.000 And without that resolution, it's very hard for Italy and Canada and a bunch of smaller NATO countries Ah, ah, ah, ah!

02:43:17.000 And since the main bases have to be in Italy because of the geography, there's a hysterical attempt in NATO to put an end to this.

02:44:01.000 And this has accounted for Something upwards of 1,300 dead civilians in the past 48 hours, let's say.

02:44:10.000 1,300 dead as of yesterday and then many more overnight.

02:44:15.000 So this is the protection of civilians under the UN Security Council resolution.

02:44:20.000 So, carpet bombing, Apache helicopters, that accounts for the rapid progress of the rebels.

02:44:26.000 Now the other thing that accounts for it is amphibious landings.

02:44:30.000 All reports now agree that smaller landing craft as well as larger NATO warships cruised up very close to the coast there, to the port of Tripoli on the Mediterranean, and landed these death squads, these terror teams of Al-Qaeda killers who had been shipped in from Benghazi and Tobruk and Derna and places like this.

02:44:55.000 Look, we're pro-America here on this show, so don't criticize the Valiant Al-Qaeda forces.

02:45:02.000 By the way, they're banning first responders from the 9-11 remembrance event, so the 9-11 responders are bad, Al-Qaeda's good. 1.00

02:46:09.000 We're even told that the rebels have lost control, at least temporarily, did lose control of Green Square when a column of Gaddafi forces went through there.

02:46:29.000 Three other sons captured, one son killed months ago.

02:56:33.000 The weakening of Qaddafi is due to the fact that there was a first privatization offensive in 2003, when they demanded the partial privatization of a certain of the oil.

02:56:49.000 And unfortunately that even reached up into his And now it's admitted that the 70 plus billion in banks is being stolen, the tens of billions in gold is now going to disappear, and stolen from the people of Libya.

03:00:40.000 This is Mahdi Darius Nazem Rowiah, and he's a guy that Russia Today had been interviewing basically every hour during the night now, between Sunday and Monday.

03:00:51.000 And some of these reports were very dramatic, because he'd be sitting there, and he said, the security has disappeared, and you could hear gunfire outside.

03:01:00.000 There were snipers outside of the hotel.

03:01:02.000 He tried to go out and put up placards saying, press, TV, don't shoot.

03:01:07.000 And snipers were shooting at him as he was trying to put up these placards.

03:01:13.000 And during the night you could see him walking around the corridors of this hotel, very eerie.

03:01:17.000 But he says, now this is Darius Maktim Nazim Raya says on Russia Today, That the CNN correspondent, or one of them, came to him and conveyed what he interpreted as something threatening, which was, I'm surprised you're still putting out anti-NATO news.

03:01:35.000 You know, that could be very dangerous.

03:01:38.000 This, I think, can be interpreted quite easily.

03:01:41.000 And, of course, this is in the context of Franklin Lamb having been shot at the pool of a different hotel.

03:01:50.000 The second one is at a hotel, I call it the Radisson.

03:01:53.000 It's a 26-story, but I think it used to be called the Carinthia, and that's what everybody calls it there.

03:02:04.000 He had a bicycle and he was out riding around Tripoli to see what the story was yesterday morning, Sunday morning.

03:02:12.000 He did fine and he found no particular evidence of rebel forces.

03:02:16.000 He gets back to the hotel, he puts the bicycle aside, and he walks by the pool, and he thinks he was shot by a sniper out of the abandoned Marriott Hotel nearby.

03:02:30.000 I have to say, Franklin, when I was there, I saw him repeatedly.

03:02:33.000 He would go to the pool, spend an hour there every day.

03:02:37.000 And then you've got, there's a written report from Thierry Maison of France.

03:02:43.000 Franklin Lam is from the U.S., Nazem Raya from Canada, Maison from France, and he put out basically a summary of what had happened.

03:02:51.000 By the way, he's a very well-respected reporter in France.

03:02:54.000 Yes, and he's somebody who has lived in the Middle East.

03:02:58.000 I mean, he's felt obliged to live in the Middle East since Sarkozy has come in, because it was getting too dangerous to be in France, and that seems to be the trend.

03:03:10.000 Anyway... Well, there's no doubt the tyrants have gone into overdrive.

03:03:13.000 They're trying to bring down Syria right now, too. 0.92

03:03:48.000 And they really thought they could overthrow Gaddafi in March.

03:03:55.000 And who knows how long it will last.

03:04:01.000 Libya has not been kind to invaders.

03:04:06.000 They've claimed he's fallen five or six times previous, but it looks like this could be it.

03:04:11.000 and then the loved, peaceful civil war can then start and really get some deindustrialization going.

03:04:19.000 But the effect of Gaddafi's resistance has been that the entire timetable was slowed down.

03:04:24.000 I mean, they wanted Gaddafi gone in March, Assad gone in April or May, and then they'd be on to Algeria by now, and they might even get around to the monarchies, right?

03:04:34.000 Morocco and Jordan and Saudi Arabia are certainly also on the same list.

03:04:39.000 If they can be intimidated, fine.

03:04:41.000 If not, they're going to be overthrown.

03:04:43.000 So Gaddafi has more or less put on the brakes and floated or practically stopped it for six months.
