02:40:44.000 Very briefly, I was a child of the 60s, 21 years old in 1968.

02:40:48.000 I was barely graduated from high school because I was just different.

02:40:54.000 I was 24 years old, went into the Marines, got discharged from the Marines because of asthma.

02:40:58.000 I didn't know that marijuana cured asthma.

02:41:02.000 I was 19 years old and when I was 21, a friend of mine, a doctor, told me to smoke marijuana for my asthma and bang, it cured it right away.

02:41:09.000 So I became a champion of it and talked about changing the laws.

02:41:12.000 I was 24 years old and a milkman when I decided I was the grist for the mill and going to end up in prison or dead.

02:41:19.000 So I had better learn the system.

02:41:20.000 So I decided to go to college to become an attorney.

02:41:23.000 And while I was going to do that, I was going to become governor of Kentucky and lift Kentucky out of poverty by changing the marijuana laws.

02:41:30.000 So that was in 1971.

02:41:31.000 I've gotten up every day for the last 40 years to do exactly that.

02:41:35.000 I became an attorney.

02:41:36.000 I've tried to change marijuana laws, but other states have beat us to it.

02:41:40.000 I was willing to try to revitalize the Kentucky economy over it.

02:41:43.000 It looks like we still may be able to, but I've run for office on various occasions.

02:41:48.000 I ran for Commissioner of Agriculture in 1983 as a Democratic primary.

02:41:52.000 Ran in 91 and 95 as a Democratic primary.

02:41:55.000 Ran in 1999 as the Reform Party candidate for governor and spent $20,000 and got 15.3% of the vote.

02:42:03.000 Went to, ran for Congress in 2000 and 2002 as the independent.

02:42:09.000 Got 27% of the vote as the independent in 2002.

02:42:12.000 Well, I think it's fair to say you're best known for being a leading person against the prohibition against hemp.

02:42:20.000 That was the case.

02:42:21.000 But it's broadened out so much and that's how they've vilified me and that's how they've marginalized me in my past races.

02:42:27.000 But I am a candidate, an independent candidate now, Alex, for governor in this November race.

02:42:35.000 I am an independent and we've already caught up with the Republican in this race.

02:43:08.000 They've been caught selling fraudulent paper.

02:44:12.000 You know, we've never said to pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America or to the republic for which it stands.

02:44:18.000 And they're not warm and fuzzy about you and me or our children or grandchildren.

02:44:22.000 And they see the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as impediments to the implementation of a new world order and global economy.

02:44:28.000 And you know, this is just one of those small steps towards that globalization.

02:44:32.000 I ain't going down without a fight, and we're going to use the state of Kentucky to do exactly that.

02:44:36.000 Alex, let me tell you and our listeners, we have a hell of a shot at winning governor of the state of Kentucky's independence with no party affiliation whatsoever.
