00:38:37.000 A, every time there's an excuse for the FBI to contact us about death threats on a message board, and so they ask me about the Obama deception, ask my employees about it, and start calling people randomly.

00:38:58.000 I mean should I be concerned about that because I know And of course, you beat them with a trial.

00:39:06.000 They trumped up stuff on you, a guy with no criminal record, exemplary record at the Treasury Department, you know, an armed agent who did the raids and all that.

00:39:14.000 I mean, they tried to put you under the jail.

00:39:17.000 So can you speak to that?

00:39:20.000 Well, there's definitely, you know, you should be concerned.

00:39:24.000 But ultimately, I'm sure you're much like me in that, you know, Your parents raised you to be a good guy, and not that we're perfect, but you run every day of your life knowing that God's watching what you're doing, and you try to be a moral person.

00:39:42.000 I think in terms of, you know, that, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

00:39:46.000 I mean, but I mean, specifically, you, you, I mean, tell folks briefly what happened to you.

00:39:54.000 They've repeatedly tried to put you in jail for your free speech.

00:40:00.000 Well, basically, the criminal part of the trial, I had a client who wanted to, he had already paid his tax, income tax money in, and he wanted to ask for a refund.

00:40:11.000 And so... You're a CPA for those that don't know to interrupt.

00:40:16.000 Well, actually, not anymore, thanks to the IRS.

00:40:18.000 I was for 15 years.

00:40:20.000 But basically, this client wanted to follow the rulebook to ask for his money back.

00:40:25.000 And so he asked me, well, how do I find out where the rulebook is and what are the rules?

00:40:30.000 So we followed that rulebook to the letter.

00:40:34.000 And the IRS turned that into a conspiracy to defraud the United States of America and claimed that these income tax returns that we filed to start this refund process were false.

00:40:46.000 And they turned it into four felony counts that would have put me in prison for probably three to five years.

00:40:53.000 Well, thankfully, one of the rights we still have is a right to a jury trial.

00:40:58.000 And the government presented all of their evidence.

00:41:01.000 And I didn't even testify in the trial.

00:41:04.000 There was really no need to, because the government couldn't find any evidence that I'd done anything wrong, that we didn't follow the IRS rulebook, or that we put anything false on these amended tax returns.

00:41:18.000 And so the jury, I find out later after talking to the jury, they're looking at each other like, why are we here?

00:41:24.000 Here this IRS has gone through this big long investigation and they're prosecuting this guy, but they have all their star witnesses come up on the witness stand and they can't testify that there was ever any conspiracy, that there's anything false on these tax returns.

00:41:39.000 So it was a big joke, but meanwhile, they indicted me and wanted to try to put me in prison.

00:41:45.000 So basically throwing everything up on the wall and hoping that something stuck. 0.91

00:41:51.000 Well let me bring this up to you because you worked for years with the FBI, federal marshals as a treasury agent, you know on these raids, these investigations. 0.80

00:42:42.000 I mean, how do they sleep at night trying to put people in horrible tuberculosis-filled dungeons for no reason?

00:42:52.000 Well, I think, Laux, the biggest problem is the hierarchy of these agencies, okay?

00:42:57.000 The actual agents are just working people just like you and me, but they need the job.

00:43:03.000 And meanwhile, the people up the chain of command who are even less accountable are the ones that are willing to do more dirty deeds because they have more to lose, or at least they think they do.

00:43:17.000 They're, you know, big in management.

00:43:19.000 They're getting all kinds of perks.

00:43:21.000 And when they're told to do something, they just do it.

00:43:25.000 And like you mentioned all the time, there's so much compartmentalization in the federal government that those who want to orchestrate from the top can make everyone do their little deed and it doesn't seem so dirty to the individual agent.

00:43:40.000 But when you put it all together, you know, they're messing with people's lives and their livelihoods and their freedom.

00:43:46.000 Sure, I mean, how did the Army, and I later learned the guy was with the Army, have somebody, when I'm trying to cover an event in Florida, jump out and start lighting fires to blame me for it?

00:43:57.000 I mean, that shows a level, and I had to, of course, stomp it out and then restrain the person who then ran off into the night.

00:44:03.000 Mike Hanson witnessed all of this.

00:44:04.000 It just shows a level of craziness in the elite that is Getting more and more, if you look at the criminology, which I know you've studied, an example of, like, serial killers get more and more reckless because they want to be caught at a subconscious level.

02:15:04.000 I've gone through a lot of frustration from it because I tend to sometimes get angry that people can't see what's right in front of them.

02:15:12.000 One of the problems with that is Um, through that I've learned good tips on how to wake people up, and I'd like to share some of them with your listeners.

02:15:23.000 The first thing I find is if I get people talking about liberty as they define it and what's important to them, their eyes seem to open very quickly, and I can start to awaken them to the things that are important and defending our liberty.

02:15:37.000 And most importantly, to remain calm.

02:15:40.000 I have days where I get fired up, as fired up as you do, and I know that that's the time I need to call somebody else that's already awake and talk to them.

02:15:48.000 Because once I start getting fired up talking to somebody, I can see them shut off.

02:15:53.000 They shut off instantly.

02:15:54.000 And one of the most important things is to follow up because when people wake up, they seem to go through these stages where first they get angry and they need somebody to talk to, and I have to be there for them.

02:16:04.000 I have to listen to them and let them get that frustration out.

02:16:07.000 But the other thing is I've seen repeatedly where somebody wakes up and then they get on that ledge and I have to talk them down because they see it as so hopeless to fight against these people.

02:16:19.000 And if you let people go past that point, they shut off and never come back.

02:16:24.000 And it's really important for people to think about these things when they're trying to wake somebody up.

02:16:29.000 Because if you really want to help, you have to not scare people away.
