00:01:01.000 But we had a mayor of Poughkeepsie, New York come out this week and talk about why he and 50 other mayors left Bloomberg's gun control group.

00:01:10.000 Now, although 50 mayors may have left, we do have one mayor who signed up.

00:01:15.000 We've got the new mayor of New York and the mayor of Boston.

00:01:19.000 Both signed on to the confiscation group, the group of mayors against, quote, illegal guns.

00:01:25.000 This is the Mayor of Boston statement today.

00:01:29.000 He's now talking about doing a gun buyback in Boston.

00:01:33.000 They had an accidental shooting of a nine-year-old by his brother, and in response to that, they want to take all the guns in Boston, try to get people to sell them in.

00:01:41.000 They're going to offer them an incentive to buy them back.

00:01:43.000 They're not going to do confiscation just yet, but listen to the way he talked about this.

00:01:48.000 He said, we need help from the community.

00:01:51.000 We need help from these people to let us know where these guns are.

00:01:55.000 Who has these guns so we can get them off the street? 0.89

00:01:59.000 So it's not just a buyback.

00:02:01.000 That's the way they're putting this out there.

00:02:04.000 They want informants.

00:03:03.000 And he's got an AK-47 slung over his shoulder with a sign pointing to the gun shop.

00:03:08.000 And it's an unloaded gun.

00:03:10.000 He's got it slung with a barrel pointed down.

00:03:13.000 And the police come by and arrest this 18-year-old kid who's simply pointing out that this is a gun store here.

00:03:18.000 It's a new gun store.

00:03:20.000 And it's interesting because this gun store changed locations.

00:03:23.000 They were in a mall.

00:03:25.000 And they got people who are afraid of them in the mall called the police on the gun owner one day when he walked in, which is perfectly legal here in Texas to have an AK-47 strapped over your shoulder.

00:03:36.000 It's not legal right now to open carry a handgun, but you can take a long gun and you can open carry a long gun.

00:03:43.000 And that's what he was doing walking into his gun store.

00:03:46.000 And some people said, we're afraid.

00:03:49.000 And so they called the police, and the police harassed him.

00:03:51.000 So he said, alright, I'm getting out of the mall.

00:03:53.000 He got out of the mall, and for his grand opening, he's got a guy with a gun on, with a sign showing where the new store is, and they've harassed him.

00:04:02.000 This is Texas, and people are afraid of someone who's open carrying a gun.

00:04:07.000 And that's what they try to do.

00:04:08.000 It's just like a political assassination.

00:04:10.000 You know, Jesse Ventura said a long time ago, first they assassinate your character, then they assassinate you.

00:04:16.000 They want you to be afraid of guns.

00:04:18.000 They want you to be afraid of people with guns.

00:04:21.000 Unless, of course, they're wearing a uniform.

00:04:23.000 In which case, they can be as militaristic, as threatening, as abusive as possible, and you should just cower in fear to them.

00:04:31.000 But if it's an individual with a gun, you should be very afraid.

00:06:56.000 This is an amazing story that came out this week from one of the mayors that was in Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns group.

00:07:03.000 Actually, that title tells you a lot about their orientation.

00:07:06.000 Because if you look at the Second Amendment, there aren't illegal guns, okay?

00:07:10.000 We all have a right to keep and bear arms, and that right is not to be infringed by the government.

00:07:15.000 And we've even had Supreme Court cases recently pushing back against this false notion that it is somehow a right of the government.

00:07:23.000 No, this is a right that we delegated certain powers to them.

00:07:26.000 These are inherent rights that we hone as being a person.

00:07:30.000 These are natural rights.

00:07:33.000 Restricted the government from touching those rights.

00:07:35.000 Things like our privacy, which they violate all the time.

00:07:38.000 Things like our free speech, which they're increasingly trying to take away.

00:07:42.000 We have certain fundamental rights that are there because we are human, because we're individuals, as the Declaration of Independence pointed out.

00:07:50.000 These are things that the government is now coming and trying to take away from us, even though they were explicitly told they did not have a right to do that.

00:07:58.000 That's what the Bill of Rights is about.

00:08:00.000 It's about individual rights.

00:08:01.000 It's not about the government's rights.

00:08:03.000 And even the Tenth Amendment says, no, by the way, if we left anything out, You can't assume that.

00:08:08.000 It's kind of like these are encroachments.

00:08:09.000 You know, when they infringe on your rights, it's like the government coming across onto your property line.

00:08:15.000 If somebody puts their fence on your property line, puts a part of their building onto your property line, you either have to get them to move that off or you need to tell them that they've filed an easement for them to say that you can get on my property, but it's still my property.

00:08:30.000 Now, we've seen this happening over and over again, and yet we're allowing, if we step back and we get tired of this fight, if we don't pay attention, this is like allowing them to keep their encroachment onto our property, and after a certain while, they'll pretend that it's theirs.

00:08:45.000 You know, you can legally do that in real estate.

00:08:47.000 And that's the approach that the government is taking.

00:08:50.000 They even do it with their secretive FISA court.

00:08:52.000 They meet in secret with only one judge, no opposition, no jury.

00:08:55.000 They come up with a decision, they publish it secretly, we're not allowed to see it, and then they maintain that they have changed and modified the Constitution.

00:09:03.000 They might publish a notification about how some alphabet agency, maybe the EPA or the TSA or the IRS, is going to now encroach on our freedoms or they're going to add something with the FDA is maybe going to allow people to add something that is poisonous to our food and we say they have a public comment period if we don't publicly comment about it they say well that's they're fine with that And they go ahead with their regulations.

00:09:28.000 Now, of course, even if we comment about it and we say we're not fine with it, they still go ahead.

00:09:32.000 And anyway, because we have a very docile, passive government at the congressional level, at the legislative level, they have delegated their authorities to the regulatory agencies.

00:09:44.000 So we have a very dangerous situation.

00:09:46.000 We've got a federal government that is basically going wild.

00:09:51.000 It's basically biting the hand that feeds it.

00:09:54.000 That would be us.

00:09:55.000 It's basically turning on its master.

00:09:57.000 So we have a federal government that's really kind of gone feral.

00:10:01.000 So, uh, you know, if you just take out the D, you've got it right there.

00:10:04.000 They go from federal to feral.

00:10:06.000 And, uh, I guess we should start calling it the feral government.

00:10:10.000 And kind of sound like James Carville.

00:10:12.000 This story, though, this story pulls us back, and Kit Daniels did a great job of packing in what's been going on.

00:10:18.000 This is a Poughkeepsie mayor.

00:10:21.000 His name is Kasich, I think is the way you pronounce it.

00:10:23.000 It's an unusual name.

00:10:24.000 He said it didn't take long, once he joined this group, it didn't take long to realize that mayors against illegal guns agenda was much more than ridding felons of illegal guns.

00:10:33.000 Under the guise of helping mayors facing a crime and drug epidemic, MIAG intended to promote confiscation of guns from law-abiding citizens.

00:10:42.000 He said, I don't believe, never have believed, never will believe that public safety is enhanced by encroaching on our right to keep and bear arms.

00:10:49.000 I will not be a part of any organization that does.

00:10:51.000 He pointed out that there are 50 other mayors who have left.

00:10:55.000 But now there are other mayors who've just gotten elected.

00:10:58.000 We've got a new mayor in Boston.

00:10:59.000 We've got a new mayor in New York.

00:11:01.000 And they're joining the group, Bloomberg's group, because it was Bloomberg and the mayor of Boston that started it in the very first place.

00:11:07.000 And as I mentioned in our first segment, Just today, the mayor of Boston announced that they're going to have a buyback.

00:11:14.000 He's trying to capitalize, as they always do, on shootings, on accidental shootings, on mass shootings, whenever there's a death.

00:11:21.000 You never see this happen if there was an accident.

00:11:23.000 You have a 14-year-old who shoots his 9-year-old brother with a gun and kills him.

00:11:29.000 Now, if he had backed over him in the driveway accidentally, or backed over a young child in the driveway, should everybody lose their automobiles because that tragedy happened?

00:11:39.000 That is not the basis for how we conduct ourselves in this country.

00:11:43.000 They're only able to do that because so many people have gotten away from the gun culture.

00:11:47.000 So many people are afraid of guns.

00:11:49.000 So many people fear the mere presence of a gun.

00:11:52.000 They freak out when they see it.

00:11:54.000 We also mentioned in the first segment how in Beaumont, Texas, just outside Houston, We had a guy arrested who was standing in front of a new gun shop with a AK-47 slung over his shoulder, pointed down, unloaded.

00:12:07.000 Totally legal in the state of Texas.

00:12:10.000 And yet, they come at this guy and they arrest him.

00:12:13.000 The store had moved from a mall because they had been harassed repeatedly at the mall for that very same sort of thing.

00:12:13.000 He was leaving.

00:12:21.000 People would get afraid they would see guns and they're going into a gun store.

00:12:25.000 Listen to this article.

00:12:26.000 Beaumont police were called to the Golden Triangle Tactical Saturday morning after complaints that a man dressed as a banana was seen holding an AK-47 outside the store.

00:12:35.000 It was their grand opening because they'd moved from the mall.

00:12:38.000 Back in December, the store owner had been stopped by the police inside of the mall for carrying an assault weapon alongside his back.

00:12:45.000 His gun was seized and he was charged with disorderly conduct.

00:12:48.000 See, it's not really a crime.

00:12:50.000 They have to charge them with something because if they don't charge them with something, then they will be charged with false arrest.

00:12:56.000 And it really was false arrest.

00:12:57.000 He didn't commit a crime.

00:12:58.000 It's perfectly legal to carry a long rifle in Texas.

00:13:02.000 But witnesses claimed that they were scared for their lives.

00:13:05.000 Why are they afraid?

00:13:06.000 Because they're not part of the gun culture.

00:13:08.000 See, you can... In North Carolina, they had a fellow who drove a car through a crowd of people.

00:13:14.000 He was a Muslim.

00:13:15.000 It was an act of violence, an act of hatred. 0.98

00:13:19.000 But he didn't shoot people, he drove his car through them.

00:13:22.000 Now, if he had shot a lot of people, there would have been calls everywhere for change of gun laws in North Carolina, a change of gun laws nationally.

00:13:30.000 But when he drove through a crowd of people, injured people, I think he might have killed some people, I don't remember exactly the incident, what happened with it.

00:13:38.000 But regardless, when this happens with a car, if it's a car accident, you have multiple pile-ups, or if it's a deliberate act to try to injure and kill people, they don't call for cars to be banned.

00:13:49.000 But these mayors in Boston, New York, elsewhere, they do call for those items to be banned, and they trade on the fact that people don't know what they're talking about.

00:13:58.000 They don't know what their rights are, and they don't understand where this is all leading.

00:14:02.000 Now, we've had this mayor say, particularly point out, the mayor from Poughkeepsie who left the mayors against illegal guns, particularly pointed out the hypocrisy of the fact that in Chicago, where they have so many gun control laws, that they have so much gun violence.

00:14:16.000 I've talked to James Garrock, a former prosecutor in Cook County, in Chicago.

00:14:23.000 He was there for decades.

00:14:24.000 He started out as a drug crusader.

00:14:26.000 And then he retired.

00:14:28.000 He's become a law enforcement against prohibition spokesperson.

00:14:34.000 These people are former prosecutors, former police chiefs, former law enforcement, judges, politicians, who have seen the adverse effects of the drug war.

00:14:44.000 And as he pointed out, in Chicago, the problem isn't that we've got Too few gun laws.

00:14:53.000 80% of the shootings that are happening in Chicago are happening because of the drug war.

00:21:53.000 First of all, to the gentleman that's dying for attention, someone needs to inform him that there is no gun ban currently.

00:24:10.000 Feinstein herself was admittedly working on her assault weapons ban legislation on the days leading up to the election and had nothing to do specifically with Adam Lanza or how he got his weapons or what allegedly happened there.

00:26:10.000 I think he really learned the lesson and took it to heart because when he moved back to a gun control area in Detroit, Michigan, he's now making statements like this.

00:26:24.000 This is Detroit Police Chief James Craig.

00:26:27.000 And he said, when we look at good community members who have concealed carry permits, the likelihood that they'll shoot is based on their lack of confidence in the police department.

00:26:37.000 So he says he changed his orientation very quickly when he went to Maine.

00:26:41.000 And of course they feel like they always have to put a balancing argument against this in the press.

00:26:45.000 So they have somebody from a gun control group and she says, well, this is Robin Thomas.

00:26:50.000 She's with a gun violence group in San Francisco.

00:26:53.000 She says his position is an emotional one.

00:26:56.000 It's based on the idea that people feel safer when they have guns.

00:26:59.000 That's not what the police chief is saying.

00:27:01.000 The police chief has guns.

00:27:03.000 He already has a gun.

00:27:04.000 He doesn't feel safer because these honest citizens, these law-abiding citizens have guns.

00:27:09.000 It's not just that they have guns.

00:27:12.000 This is because he's seen the decline in violence.

00:27:16.000 He knows that they're going to be there, they're going to have his back in many of these situations.

00:27:21.000 In many of these situations, it will be diffused peacefully, just by people having guns.

00:40:19.000 It's totally legal to do that in Texas, and yet they arrest him and charge him with disorderly conduct.

00:40:28.000 And that's why he moved out of the mall and moved to this store so he has his grand opening ceremony and the same thing happens to him there.

00:48:25.000 He was holding an AK-47 across his back with a barrel pointing down, and the officers say that they detained the 18-year-old and found that he had a rifle with a drum magazine that was attached with at least a 50-round capacity.

00:48:44.000 They didn't say that he was using it in a menacing manner.

00:50:50.000 The tragic overdose death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, the Academy Award winning actor, is an illustration of what a fraud the war on drugs is.

00:51:42.000 Because you have the war on drugs making the opium illegal so that the black market can be controlled by big banks and the government and so they can shut down their competition while filling the prisons with the low-level dealers who are compartmentalized.

00:52:03.000 The Russians have complained about this, the Europeans have complained about this, NATO is heavily involved in trafficking the narcotics out with the Pentagon.

00:56:04.000 This is going through New York, and this sheriff, who you just heard there, is part of a lawsuit to stop that unconstitutional act, just as Sheriff Mack and other constitutional sheriffs Stopped some of the Brady Bill provisions back in, I guess it was about 20 years ago that Sheriff Mack did that.

00:56:22.000 But he's also saying that he's not going to break the law.

00:56:24.000 He's not going to enforce an unjust law.

00:56:26.000 And you know, we have to stand up as individuals, and we have to say that as jurors, we're not going to enforce unjust, unconstitutional laws.

00:56:38.000 And we need to understand that our job as a juror is to look not just at the facts of the case and accept the laws as a given, but to also look at the justice of the laws.

01:37:28.000 There's a website I found, CIADrugs.com, And we should, you know, just like we should culture jam the media like that courageous guy did, grabbing a microphone and saying, investigate 9-11 right after the Super Bowl.

01:48:06.000 And as we saw just today, we see the new mayor of Boston, who has just joined that group, Holding a buyback because a nine-year-old was tragically shot by his 14-year-old brother.

01:48:19.000 So now everybody needs to not only turn in their guns, but he says, we want to know who these people are.

01:48:25.000 We want to know who has these guns so we can do something about it.

01:48:36.000 Now, out of North Carolina, this is off the subject of guns, but this is still interesting.

01:48:40.000 The NAACP requires marchers who are protesting North Carolina's voter ID law to show photo ID.

01:48:49.000 The very thing that they're protesting, that you would have to show photo ID in order to legally vote somewhere, because our election system, let's admit it, is fundamentally broken.

01:49:00.000 It's very, very easy to game this either with illegal voters or with rigged voting machines.

01:49:08.000 We need to do everything we can to reform this.

01:49:11.000 One of those things is to make sure that the people who are voting are legitimate voters and they only vote once.

01:49:16.000 And one of the ways that you do that is with voter ID.

01:49:18.000 I used to live in North Carolina.

01:49:21.000 In North Carolina, all you had to do was go up and give them a name and an address, and they'd let you vote.

01:49:25.000 And I've had friends tell me that they went there and were told that they had already voted, and that deceased relatives at their house had already voted.

01:49:34.000 These are the same laws that are in existence in many states in the union.

01:49:38.000 But Eric Holder and the Justice Department want to single out states in the South and claim that it's racism if you ask somebody for proper identification at the voting booth.

01:49:50.000 This is something that people do all the time when you're cashing a check, when you're doing just about anything.

01:49:55.000 People are constantly in America anymore.

01:49:57.000 They're constantly asking you for ID.

01:49:59.000 Why should voting be the only place where you don't have to show ID?

01:50:02.000 And of course, the irony of it is that they're protesting the law that requires people have a photo ID when they vote.

01:50:09.000 And the organization that's protesting at the NAACP is requiring exactly the same form of identification in order to show up at the protest.

01:52:23.000 They've experienced the war of withdrawing food that Stalin used against them.
