00:00:07.000 Big Brother.

00:00:15.000 Mainstream media.

00:00:17.000 Government cover-ups.

00:00:20.000 You want answers?

00:00:21.000 Well, so does he.

00:00:23.000 He's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.

00:00:27.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.

00:00:35.000 Welcome to the Alex Jones Show on this Thursday, June 5th edition, 2014.

00:00:40.000 I'm David Knight, I'll be your host today.

00:00:42.000 We've got a lot of information and we're going to be taking your calls as well.

00:00:46.000 Today we're going to be talking about Obama.

00:00:49.000 Many people on both the left and right are talking about how he is becoming more and more like Nixon.

00:00:56.000 I would say he's getting his Nixon on.

00:00:59.000 Both commentators from the left and the right, how he's essentially doing what Nixon always wanted to do.

00:01:04.000 Remember that quote from Nixon in the David Frost interview where he says, if the president does it, it's not illegal.

00:01:09.000 You know, that type of thing.

00:01:10.000 That's what we're hearing from the Obama administration now.

00:01:13.000 I think that's what we really need to focus on on this Bergdahl case.

00:01:17.000 We've seen these types of actions time and time again, but as Jonathan Turley has pointed out, and he's a... I believe it's Harvard.

00:01:25.000 It's one of the liberal institutions.

00:01:27.000 Is it Harvard, guys?

00:01:29.000 Anyway, Jonathan Turley has been pointing out on CNN, on Sean Hannity, very clearly the law states that he has to give 30-day notice in advance.

00:01:38.000 Not three days afterwards does he talk to the Congress.

00:01:43.000 Not three days before, 30 days before.

00:01:45.000 Not 30 minutes after, 30 days before.

00:01:48.000 It's a very clear violation of the law.

00:01:52.000 As we have seen time and again.

00:01:54.000 As we have seen with the actions of the NDAA.

00:01:57.000 Which, ironically, is the clause that has that 30-day provision in it.

00:02:02.000 So essentially, Obama's been kind of hoisted by his own petard.

00:02:05.000 Maybe he shouldn't have signed that NDAA Act.

00:02:07.000 I certainly don't think he should have.

00:02:09.000 We're also going to be talking about David Letterman.

00:02:11.000 He had Anderson Cooper on his show, and desperate as he was to get attention and ratings as he's sinking into irrelevancy, they decided they would talk about gun control and basically rehash all of the old liberal talking points.

00:02:26.000 So we're going to talk about that in light of the killing in California.

00:02:31.000 And you know what's really behind it?

00:02:33.000 It's really, guess what?

00:02:35.000 Drugs.

00:02:36.000 Where else do you think people are going to stop acting like animals like that?

00:02:41.000 How do they lose their empathy and sympathy for other humans to be able to kill in that manner?

00:02:47.000 It doesn't matter whether it's a gun or whether it's knives that he used on people.

00:02:52.000 The issue is, how does one transform from being a human being to someone who will just lash out like that?

00:02:58.000 And time and time again, we see it is The drugs, the SSRI drugs.

00:03:03.000 In this case, it's a Xanax addiction to prescription drugs.

00:03:07.000 That is what is making people crazy.

00:03:09.000 But we don't want to talk about that.

00:03:11.000 We can have a massive war on drugs, on recreational drugs, but we don't even want to mention the dangerous side effects to the pharmaceutical companies.

00:03:20.000 Because, you know, hey, those are the sponsors of television.

00:03:24.000 Virtually all of television is sponsored now in a way that it has never before been sponsored by pharmaceutical companies.

00:03:31.000 Ten, twenty years ago, you never had every other commercial be a pharmaceutical commercial with a long, long list of side effects.

00:03:38.000 Well, this is one side effect we need to be talking about.

00:03:42.000 So we're going to talk about that.

00:03:43.000 We see that the European Central Banks are now floating the idea of a negative interest rate.

00:03:48.000 That's right.

00:03:49.000 Let's borrow our way into prosperity.

00:03:50.000 And actually we have an article up on InfoWars where we've got somebody actually suggesting that.

00:03:56.000 That's been the motive behind much of the motivation behind much of the things happening in our economy.

00:04:02.000 Telling people they can live the good life.

00:04:04.000 You can go from playing hard to from working hard to playing hard if you just go into debt.

00:04:09.000 That's essentially what this guy says.

00:04:10.000 We're going to talk a little bit about that.

00:04:11.000 But all this week we've been talking about the freedom of the press.

00:04:16.000 We've been talking about how easy it is for government to work with media and to run down the memory hole things like the Bilderberg Group meeting secretly for decades.

00:04:27.000 To run down the memory hole things like Tiananmen Square 25 years ago to essentially pretend that it didn't exist and make an entire generation of Chinese ignorant about what happened on that day.

00:04:40.000 We've seen that they've been able to run down the memory hole NSA whistleblowers like Benny and Drake, but a year ago we had leaks from Snowden, and we're going to talk about the effect that that's had, what people have learned about that, and how finally that has taken out of the memory hole the dirty, hidden secrets of the NSA.

00:05:01.000 So join us, and we're going to be taking your phone calls at 1-800-259-9231.

00:05:09.000 This is Scottish John for InfoWars.com.

00:05:11.000 I know that most of you here in this commercial already know about the New World Order, eugenics, and all the other issues covered here at InfoWars.

00:05:18.000 The question is, do your friends and family know?

00:05:21.000 If not, then I want to know why.

00:05:23.000 Oh, I know it's tough to talk about this with some people.

00:05:25.000 They might call you names, or they just want to talk about sports or soap operas.

00:05:29.000 I say, so what?

00:05:31.000 There's a battle going on out there right now.

00:05:33.000 The ammunition is information, and the soldiers are you.

00:05:36.000 It's time to transform your game from passive listener to active participant.

00:05:40.000 We from Scotland have had our skin in this game for the greater part of the last thousand years, and I'm still fighting.

00:05:46.000 If we don't all stand up right now, we're gonna lose everything.

00:07:17.000 Oh Betty, that's just awful.

00:07:19.000 Does this seem familiar?

00:07:21.000 If the answer to this question is yes, then listen carefully.

00:07:23.000 Toxic pesticides, GMO foods and additives, BPA plastics, contaminated water supplies, many of these toxic additives are deliberately engineered to attack and weaken human masculinity.

00:08:29.000 Live from the InfoWars.com studios, it's Alex Jones.

00:08:38.000 Welcome to the Thursday, June 5th edition of the Alex Jones Show.

00:08:41.000 I'm David Knight.

00:08:42.000 I'll be your host today.

00:08:43.000 June 5th.

00:08:44.000 It was just one year ago that we saw the first of the Ed Snowden leaks come out.

00:08:50.000 You know, prior to that, even though we had been talking about it for a very long time, even though we had had very high-ranking NSA whistleblowers, people like William Benny and Drake who had come out and warned us what was happening in the wake of 2001 readjustment of the entire NSA structure to people like William Benny and Drake who had come out and warned us what was happening in the wake of 2001 readjustment of the entire NSA structure to essentially take spying that they

00:09:19.000 They warned us about it, but essentially it went down the memory hole, just like the press's coverage of Bilderberg for generations, just like the coverage of Tiananmen Square was ignored and the Chinese media, the Chinese government, the Chinese textbooks pretended that that never happened.

00:09:35.000 Well, we had a press that was essentially pretending that the NSA whistleblowers and what they were talking about essentially wasn't happening, equally.

00:09:43.000 Even though William Binney was the highest ranking technical person with global responsibility.

00:09:49.000 He blew the whistle on what was happening with this.

00:09:51.000 It was a tale of insider corruption, paying a lot more for software that had been developed.

00:09:59.000 They had software that he had developed, that he had been a part of, that was developed internally in the NSA.

00:10:04.000 And it was able to do the job without violating the Fourth Amendment rights of innocent Americans, and yet they decided that they would go with a contractor, and I don't know what that was, but they would go with a contractor who would...

00:10:19.000 Essentially, charge a great deal of money and do a dragnet surveillance.

00:10:23.000 So they went from one that was called, I think, Thin Thread, was developed internally by Binney and others.

00:10:28.000 They went to Trailblazer.

00:10:30.000 And they were blowing the whistle, but nobody was listening to them.

00:10:33.000 Fortunately, when the Snowden documents came out, it's almost now...

00:10:36.000 Become a passé meme within the last year.

00:10:39.000 It's hard to believe that it's only been a year.

00:10:41.000 There's been so much information that has leaked out about these leaks.

00:10:44.000 So we're going to be talking about that.

00:10:46.000 And talking about the fact that there is more than one way to destroy our personal freedoms, our freedom of speech, and what's going on with the Internet.

00:10:55.000 And the Internet is under attack from a variety of different angles.

00:10:58.000 We're going to be talking about net neutrality, a great comment.

00:11:03.000 There were comments that flooded the FCC from a video from John Oliver, and that's what we need to see.

00:11:11.000 We need to see people from both the left and the right who have serious disagreements on many things, but we have to come together to agree that we're not going to live under a police state.

00:11:22.000 Yet we see with people like David Letterman and Anderson Cooper from CNN, as they got together on the David Letterman Show, They started pushing this left-right paradigm, trying to use the Elliot Rogers murders as an excuse for gun confiscation from innocent Law-abiding, responsible gun owners.

00:11:44.000 And here's what they had to say, a little bit of it.

00:11:47.000 Not eliminate guns, how to improve this.

00:11:50.000 But now we've just become inert to this.

00:11:52.000 People are shot and killed each and every day by private handgun ownership.

00:11:59.000 You can't tell me this is an insoluble problem.

00:12:01.000 Well it certainly, I mean at this point it seems a problem that America isn't ready to tackle or isn't willing to tackle.

00:12:07.000 People are shot and killed every day by people having private handguns.

00:12:12.000 Well, you know, people are shot and killed every day in this country by police who are operating under rules of engagement that should never have taken place.

00:12:21.000 They're being prompted by the federal government to shoot first.

00:12:25.000 That's actually the curriculum that they have in New Mexico, the State Police Academy.

00:12:30.000 They had a longtime veteran instructor there who refused to teach that, who resigned rather than teaching that.

00:12:37.000 But those are the rules of engagement that we see being pushed by a government.

00:12:41.000 Do we want that government?

00:12:43.000 To have a monopoly on force.

00:12:45.000 Do we want to take guns out of the hands of individuals who are behaving responsibly?

00:12:51.000 And they completely ignore, in this discussion that David Letterman has with Anderson Cooper, they completely ignore the root cause.

00:13:00.000 As we have pointed out before in every one of these mass murder cases, it is always mood-altering, mind-altering, behavior-altering drugs.

00:13:10.000 And in this case, in Elliot Rogers, we now know that he had an addiction to Xanax.

00:13:15.000 What can make someone lose all empathy, all sympathy for Other human beings.

00:13:23.000 What can make them get into a trance-like state where they can run over people on the road and just not be bothered by it?

00:13:31.000 They can operate and yet completely have any sense of what they're doing, any moral right or wrong, completely severed.

00:13:39.000 Well, it's these drugs!

00:13:41.000 Nobody's going to talk about it.

00:13:42.000 Why?

00:13:43.000 Because the big sponsors for David Letterman's show, as well as the rest of the mainstream media, are these pharmaceutical companies.

00:13:51.000 We have an entire war on drugs, which is turning our government into a predator.

00:13:57.000 SWAT teaming people, shooting them without warning, no-knock raids, militarized police departments.

00:14:05.000 We can have that in the name of a war on illegal drugs, but we can't even talk about the murderous side effects of the pharmaceutical drugs.

00:14:15.000 That was when they cut Alex Jones off immediately, when he went on to Piers Morgan.

00:14:19.000 He could say pretty much anything he wanted to about Piers Morgan and guns, but when he got on to the murder-suicide pills, they basically did not bring him back in the next segment.

00:14:29.000 Why?

00:14:30.000 Because that's where they get most of their money.

00:14:34.000 I want to move on from that to the other big story that's breaking today.

00:14:37.000 Of course, everyone is talking about Bo Bergdahl and this prisoner exchange.

00:14:43.000 There's a lot to talk about here.

00:14:44.000 There's a lot to talk about in terms of releasing these people, but I think the key thing we need to focus on, and what we see people on both the left and the right talking about, is the comparisons to Nixon.

00:14:57.000 And how he has an imperial presidency.

00:15:00.000 He believes that he can do anything he wants.

00:15:03.000 And we now see some people floating the idea of impeachment.

00:15:07.000 Essentially, nobody, even the Democrats, are not backing up Obama for the most part.

00:15:11.000 He's starting to get some of his administration people to back him up.

00:15:15.000 But, even, and of course Harry Reid backs him up, says no, he doesn't have a 30-day requirement.

00:15:19.000 It's clearly written in the law that he has to give a 30-day notice about this.

00:15:24.000 It has to be talked about, discussed.

00:15:27.000 He did not follow that.

00:15:28.000 Jonathan Turley and others have pointed out that he clearly broke the law.

00:15:33.000 There is no wiggle room on that.

00:15:34.000 And now the question is, are they going to do anything about it?

00:15:37.000 But let's look at some of the apologists first.

00:15:39.000 We've got a clip from Hagel.

00:15:41.000 Let's listen to what he had to say.

00:15:42.000 There's a lot of classified information in how we got him out, when we got him out, methods used.

00:15:49.000 These are important classified documents.

00:15:52.000 Now, we're sharing these things, by the way, in classified forums with appropriate committees.

00:15:59.000 To your bigger question, why now?

00:16:01.000 It was our judgment, based on the information that we had, that his life, his health, Well, when you say imminently, it's easy for us to sit here and look behind and say, well, 24 hours, 48 hours.

00:16:19.000 It was our judgment, and it was unanimous, by the way, I might add.

00:16:22.000 It was the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Director of National Intelligence, Attorney General.

00:16:30.000 We all came to the same conclusion.

00:16:31.000 You know what?

00:16:32.000 We hear this over and over again.

00:16:33.000 Well, you know, you really just have to trust us on this because this is national security.

00:16:37.000 I would like to tell you really what the basis of this is, but I can't really.

00:16:41.000 Remember when we had the confirmation hearings for the judge that That is one level below the Supreme Court, a lifetime judge appointment, and yet this guy had written memos that supposedly gave legal justification to the drone assassination program.

00:16:57.000 But of course, in all these years, nobody was able to look at those legal memos.

00:17:03.000 When Rand Paul and others started to make an issue out of that, that this guy had written secret memos to essentially assassinate American citizens abroad, justifying that presumably with some legal argument.

00:17:16.000 They said, well, you're going to appoint him to a very high court position, a lifetime appointment.

00:17:22.000 Let's see what this guy's legal arguments are.

00:17:25.000 And they wouldn't even release it to the Senate for a while.

00:17:28.000 Finally, they released it to the Senate.

00:17:30.000 Have not seen those justifications to the public.

00:17:33.000 So we always see that they're going to pull the state secret act.

00:17:38.000 That's something that goes all the way down whenever you go in and even talk to somebody at a local police station.

00:17:44.000 I can't comment on that.

00:17:45.000 That's confidential.

00:17:47.000 Nobody in government will tell us anything.

00:17:50.000 The entire government is being run like a star chamber.

00:17:54.000 And frankly, I'm sick of it.

00:17:56.000 We need to start, we need to stop this.

00:17:58.000 And on this one year anniversary of the Snowden documents, as people are debating, you know, whether he, we see Newt Gingrich talking about, is Snowden a traitor?

00:18:07.000 And we see a Democrat say, no, he's not necessarily a traitor.

00:18:09.000 He's just a criminal that needs to go to jail.

00:18:11.000 Look, he exposed criminal actions that are being taken by people in government.

00:18:17.000 We need to stop having a star chamber government. 0.99

00:18:20.000 It's just metastasizing.

00:18:22.000 But this is the comment from Obama today.

00:18:24.000 He said, we saw an opportunity and we seized it.

00:18:28.000 I make no apologies for that.

00:18:31.000 Well, when Jonathan Turley went on the Sean Hannity Show, remember he was on CNN earlier this week talking to Wolf Blitzer and Wolf Blitzer was kind of surprised when he said, well, you know, did the president violate the law?

00:18:40.000 And he said, clearly he did.

00:18:42.000 There isn't any wiggle room with this 30-day requirement.

00:18:45.000 This is the comment that Turley had on the Sean Hennedy Show.

00:18:49.000 He said, what's emerging is an imperial presidency, an uber-presidency as I've called it, where the president can act unilaterally.

00:18:57.000 This is only the latest example of that.

00:19:00.000 This is happening all the time.

00:19:00.000 Absolutely.

00:19:03.000 Even with his own Obamacare regulations, he gets his The system put in and even that is constantly adjusted as if he is dictator-in-chief.

00:19:15.000 Now, Curley goes on to say, people don't seem to understand that the separation of powers is not about the power of these branches.

00:19:22.000 In other words, I don't really care fundamentally if the president is more powerful than the Supreme Court or the legislature.

00:19:31.000 It's really, as he said, there to protect individual liberty.

00:19:36.000 It's there to protect us from the concentration of power.

00:19:39.000 And we need to remember that the divisions and the separations of power were not initially just between the branches of the federal government There was also a separation of power between the federal government, the state governments, and the people.

00:19:52.000 They feared concentration of power so much, and they feared that it would happen in the central branch so much, that they divided that power between the states and the people, and then within the central government, they divided it into three pieces.

00:20:05.000 We're going to talk about Obama getting his Nixon on.

00:20:05.000 We're going to be right back.

00:24:09.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

00:24:26.000 I'm David Knight.

00:24:27.000 On this Thursday, June 5th, 2014, one year after the first documents from Edward Snowden surfaced, what it told us was not just that we had one agency that was violating the law, but we have seen in the year that has passed as people have come after Snowden as a criminal for exposing

00:24:51.000 What the government was doing that was criminal, as they have, instead of reforming government, instead of going after the people who are violating their oaths, they've gone after Ed Snowden.

00:25:02.000 What we see is a government that embraces the secret surveillance state.

00:25:07.000 We've seen how pervasive that is, how it goes from the top to the bottom of the government, as we see that Every part of government, from the White House down to local police departments, don't believe that, not only are they not accountable to anyone, but they don't have to even give us any information about what we're doing.

00:25:28.000 To me, that is the core thing that we're seeing here.

00:25:32.000 It's an arrogance against the people to say that they are not accountable to the Constitution and they are not accountable to the people.

00:25:39.000 And we see that in what Obama is doing.

00:25:42.000 He doesn't believe that he's accountable to the law, to the Constitution, to the people, to anything.

00:25:47.000 And we now see people from both the left and the right who are criticizing him for this.

00:25:51.000 And we have Jonathan Turley who's on Sean Hannity.

00:25:54.000 I was just reading that quote where he said, people don't seem to understand that the separation of powers is not about the power of these branches.

00:26:02.000 It's there to protect individual liberty.

00:26:05.000 It's there to protect us from the concentration of power.

00:26:09.000 He says, "You know, I've said it before, Barack Obama is really the president that Richard Nixon always wanted to be.

00:26:15.000 You know, he's been allowed to act unilaterally in a way that we've been fighting for decades." See, when you separate power between the central government and the states and the people, as was the original design, as you separate power between these different branches in government, those are just merely tactics.

00:26:33.000 The real target is individual liberty.

00:26:36.000 That is the goal.

00:26:38.000 And we can't have that when we've got a government that has nothing but contempt for the Constitution, for the rule of law.

00:26:45.000 Now on the right, George Will had a essay and he pointed out that Richard Nixon famously said to David Frost, when the president does it, that means it's not illegal.

00:26:58.000 Doesn't that sound like Barack Obama?

00:27:00.000 Doesn't that sound like the presidency we have now?

00:27:03.000 He goes on to analyze the way that Politico Explained what was going on.

00:27:09.000 Politico kind of played semantics with what happened.

00:27:12.000 They said that Obama's assertive act defied Congress.

00:27:17.000 And Will points out, defied Congress?

00:27:19.000 I thought it defied the law.

00:27:22.000 That's what they're doing from the Edward Snowden documents showing that the NSA and all these different government agencies are defying the law.

00:27:32.000 The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that was put in.

00:27:35.000 Remember that that was put in in the wake of the Church Intelligence Committee hearings back in the 1970s, looking at the abuses of the CIA, trying to make sure that they did not become a predatory spy agency like East Germany spying on American citizens.

00:27:50.000 So they created this FISA Act.

00:27:52.000 And they said, we're going to allow you to do intelligence of people that you think may be enemies of the United States abroad, but you're not going to do that here domestically.

00:28:02.000 And now, that has become something of a star chamber court, where they can go in, and without, they call the FISA court a court, it's not a court in any way, shape or form.

00:28:13.000 There is one single person, a political appointee, who sits there and hears one person from the government.

00:28:19.000 It's not an adversarial There's no relationship there, there's no transparency, there's no public knowledge of what's going on.

00:28:27.000 And yet, as they have these secret hearings between one judge and one bureaucrat from the administration...

00:28:33.000 They believe that these decisions that they come up with have the power to modify our Constitution.

00:28:40.000 Those are simply head games they're playing with themselves.

00:28:44.000 They're engaging in criminal actions and we need to call them on it.

00:28:47.000 And fortunately, we've seen that over and over again with these Snowden documents.

00:28:52.000 People are starting to understand what's going on.

00:28:56.000 The question is, will we do anything about it?

00:28:58.000 The question is, will our legislative leaders do anything about Obama's criminal actions?

00:29:04.000 Now in a story up on InfoWars Today from Alexander Bolton on the Hill, we see that Lindsey Graham is warning that the Republicans might impeach Obama for what he's done.

00:29:16.000 Releasing these five Taliban prisoners from Gitmo without following the procedure. 0.65

00:29:22.000 Do you think?

00:29:23.000 This is kind of, how many times have we heard this before?

00:29:26.000 We always see the Republicans come out and say, oh, this is really bad.

00:29:30.000 You know, one more time, one more time, we're going to do something about it.

00:29:35.000 How many times does he have to break the law before they do anything about it?

00:29:40.000 Now we're going to take your calls.

00:29:41.000 I want to get your take on the Snowden events and what's happened in the last year.

00:29:46.000 Call us on 800-259-9231.

00:30:09.000 A chemical spill contaminating the water supply in nine West Virginia counties.

00:30:13.000 This year alone, over 300,000 people in West Virginia had their drinking water contaminated.

00:30:17.000 What are the health effects of having these drugs in our drinking water?

00:30:21.000 It's forced medical treatment without the consent of residents.

00:30:24.000 My friends, water filtration is one of the most basic actions you can take to protect you and your family from the harmful toxins and heavy metals in your tap water.

00:30:31.000 On average, the county says it sprays with glyphosate at least once a week.

00:30:35.000 Few filters cut out the glyphosate that is found in water supplies worldwide.

00:30:40.000 Remove pesticides, herbicides, chloramines, hydrofluorosilicic acid, sodium hexafluorosilicate.

00:30:46.000 Fluoride is in tea, it's in coffee, it's in water, it's in bread, it's in toothpaste.

00:30:50.000 It is our responsibility to protect our families.

00:30:52.000 The establishment's not going to do it.

00:30:54.000 It's time to take action.

00:33:27.000 Government cover-ups.

00:33:29.000 You want answers?

00:33:30.000 Well, so does he.

00:33:32.000 It's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.

00:33:36.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

00:33:42.000 I'm David Knight, and I want to remind you that this half hour of the Alex Jones Show is brought to you by our sponsor, My Patriot Supply.

00:33:51.000 As Alex has said repeatedly on this program, the globalists are moving up their endgame, and America, as we know and love it, may someday soon be a thing of the past.

00:34:01.000 But patriots everywhere are getting prepared, and they're doing it with one of my favorite companies, MyPatriotSupply.com.

00:34:09.000 MyPatriotSupply.com offers high-quality survival gear and is the home of the Patriot Pantry line of emergency food storage.

00:34:17.000 The food's delicious, easy to prepare, put together with GMO-free crops and storable for up to 25 years.

00:34:24.000 And MyPatriotSupply has developed space-saving and secure food storage bins, unlike flimsy plastic pails that you find almost anywhere else.

00:34:32.000 Visit MyPatriotSupply.com slash Alex today for special offers.

00:34:36.000 That's MyPatriotSupply.com forward slash Alex.

00:34:39.000 The globalists are counting on you to be unprepared.

00:34:43.000 Fight back.

00:34:44.000 Get prepared at mypatriotsupply.com slash alextoday.

00:34:48.000 As a matter of fact, you know, so many times we have to work to try to get reform in our government, whether that's truth and labeling about GMO, whether that's getting fluoride out of the water, or whether it's taking action to try to stop the NSA.

00:35:05.000 And so we now have on this one year anniversary of the Ed Snowden documents being revealed showing us what our government has been doing to us in secret.

00:35:16.000 We now see that there is a movement afoot on the web Let's show a little bit of a clip of that to essentially reset it, to essentially take the initiative ourselves to do something ourselves to try to take back our freedom.

00:35:32.000 That's an important thing.

00:35:33.000 We always need to work together collectively for our individual freedoms, but understand that there are things that we can do ourselves.

00:35:39.000 And so they're trying to appeal, as Edward Snowden has, To individual developers saying, put some features into your app that are going to give some security to your users.

00:35:49.000 Or, if you're a user, take advantage of some of the features that are already there.

00:35:53.000 You know, for a long time there was an app out there going all the way back to the days of Echelon, back in the 1990s.

00:36:00.000 People knew that the government was collecting, people who were informed, who were following things, knew that the government was collecting information on American citizens.

00:36:08.000 Some people made some tools available like PGP.

00:36:11.000 That was pretty good privacy.

00:36:12.000 It was a personal encryption method that would allow you to encrypt your emails.

00:36:17.000 We know that if everybody starts encrypting their emails, it's going to be very difficult for the NSA to do something about it.

00:36:24.000 Of course, it's an ongoing war.

00:36:27.000 They will adapt as we adapt, but at least let's resist. 0.79

00:36:31.000 Let's at least do something.

00:36:33.000 Let's play a little bit of a clip for people on radio.

00:36:35.000 We've been showing some video from their campaign.

00:36:38.000 Let's play a little bit about it.

00:36:40.000 We use the Internet to be ourselves.

00:36:55.000 But governments are building a prison around it.

00:36:58.000 We have to stop them.

00:36:59.000 But how?

00:37:01.000 They seem so vast and powerful.

00:37:03.000 But government spies have a weakness.

00:37:05.000 They can hack anybody.

00:37:06.000 But they can't hack everybody.

00:37:09.000 Folks like the NSA depend on collecting insecure data from tapped fiber.

00:37:14.000 They depend on our mistakes.

00:37:16.000 Mistakes we can fix.

00:37:18.000 The plan?

00:37:19.000 Reset the net.

00:37:20.000 Together, on June 5th, one year after Snowden's first NSA story, we all take one powerful step to turn off government spying and turn on freedom.

00:37:31.000 The call is simple.

00:37:32.000 Find some territory of the internet that you can protect from prying eyes.

00:37:37.000 Seize it and hold it.

00:37:38.000 Are you a developer?

00:37:40.000 Promise to add one NSA-resistant feature to your app.

00:37:43.000 Are you an internet user?

00:37:45.000 Promise to try one NSA-resistant privacy tool.

00:37:49.000 Okay, now that's the campaign.

00:37:50.000 You can find that.

00:37:51.000 It's a hashtag, reset the net.

00:37:53.000 It's a campaign, and their motto is, don't ask for privacy, take it back.

00:37:58.000 I think we should do that with everything, whether it's our own personal food supply, our drinking water, our right to keep and bear arms.

00:38:05.000 There's so many different things that we can do, especially, I would add, juries.

00:38:10.000 We see trial by jury, as well as even A trial by a judge is something that is starting to disappear from our country.

00:38:18.000 So we need to take these things back as we can.

00:38:20.000 We also need to work collectively to try to stop it.

00:38:23.000 I'm going to go to your calls here in just a moment.

00:38:25.000 Try to get your take on what Obama is doing as he becomes essentially the reincarnation of Richard Nixon.

00:38:33.000 But I also want to talk to you about Snowden, where you think we could head with that?

00:38:38.000 Besides resetting the net, what do we do to take this back?

00:38:41.000 There's been a lot of ground covered in the last year about educating the public.

00:38:46.000 That's a very positive thing.

00:38:47.000 Now, what do we do to take action?

00:38:50.000 I want to talk about how Meet the Press is debating the importance of Snowden.

00:38:54.000 Now, we saw just this last couple of days, it was on June 1st, on the Sunday Show, they had Newt Gingrich and a Democrat, former congressperson, Harman, talking about it.

00:39:07.000 Listen to this quote from Gingrich.

00:39:09.000 He said, What right does any single American have to decide that more than the President, more than the Congress, that they're going to leak our secrets?

00:39:20.000 This is the act of a traitor.

00:39:23.000 What Snowden leaked were the traitorous acts of our President, of our Congress, of our NSA, of our bureaucracies.

00:39:33.000 There was an article that broke when I was in Europe about the national health system in Britain.

00:39:38.000 There was a whistleblower there that exposed the fact that in the areas that he was working, they had children and seniors who were locked away for 12 hours a day without any food or water.

00:39:51.000 Now, the response of these people was to, was it to thank him?

00:39:55.000 Was it to put the people in jail that had been doing this?

00:39:59.000 To fire them?

00:40:01.000 To do anything to them?

00:40:02.000 No.

00:40:02.000 What they did was they fired the whistleblower.

00:40:05.000 We see that happening over and over again.

00:40:08.000 People who expose criminal activity on the part of the government are not criminals.

00:40:15.000 That's what Ed Snowden did.

00:40:16.000 Now the Democrat, Harman, said, well, you know, Snowden should come back.

00:40:20.000 He should cut a deal.

00:40:21.000 He should serve prison time.

00:40:23.000 I think that's where this should come out.

00:40:24.000 This ought to be a lesson to other kids.

00:40:27.000 Watch out.

00:40:28.000 This is very dangerous.

00:40:30.000 Yes, it's very dangerous to expose the illegal actions, the criminal actions of a criminal government that will not reform itself.

00:40:40.000 Now, one of the other pieces of fallout that's happening, of course, in Snowden is that American corporations are finding that it's much harder for them to do business.

00:40:48.000 And in China, the Wall Street Journal just pointed out that Chinese state television ran a very anti-Microsoft segment.

00:40:57.000 Now, of course, Microsoft was one of the early adopters of the PRISM program.

00:41:02.000 They were the first ones in there.

00:41:03.000 They were in there long before the other corporations got in there.

00:41:06.000 They've been linked At the hip with the surveillance state, with the security state here in America, a Chinese state TV broadcast, they say on Wall Street Journal, laid into the Microsoft and its Windows 8 operating system on Wednesday, saying the amount of personal data the system's capable of collecting And the profile of Chinese society it would be capable of producing would quote, be more precise and up-to-date than that collected by our own National Bureau of Statistics.

00:41:35.000 They said we've seen that the USA has relevant acts like the Patriot Act that oblige companies that hold information resources to transfer that to the US government.

00:41:44.000 That's the message that people are getting about our corporations.

00:41:48.000 They need to distance themselves in a real way.

00:41:51.000 People are not buying their phony misinformation saying that they really weren't part of the PRISM program.

00:41:58.000 People don't buy that.

00:41:59.000 And it's costing them dearly.

00:42:01.000 And that's going to continue to go on until companies like Microsoft actually push back.

00:42:07.000 But don't hold your breath.

00:42:10.000 We see that even in places like Florida, small town sheriff departments, it's not just at the top where we see this kind of corruption, it's even down at the local police departments.

00:42:22.000 And it's being driven by our federal government.

00:42:24.000 They're the ones who are offering sweetheart deals on all this heavy equipment that is militarizing our police as if they're going to be fighting a war in Iraq or Afghanistan.

00:42:34.000 And so we see this story about U.S.

00:42:36.000 Marshals seizing cops' spying records to keep them from the ACLU.

00:42:39.000 This is one that was picked up by the Drudge Reports from Wired Magazine.

00:42:43.000 They say a routine request in Florida for public records regarding the use of surveillance tool known as Stingray, and we've reported on that several times here at InfoWars, took an extraordinary turn recently when federal authorities seized the documents before the police could release them.

00:42:57.000 Now, under court order, they were going to be given These documents over to the ACLU, which was challenging it, essentially what they're doing is they are tracking and surveilling people without a court order, without a warrant.

00:43:10.000 In other words, the police departments, and many of these are local police departments, a lot of it is happening in Florida, they're illegally surveilling people.

00:43:19.000 Without getting a search warrant.

00:43:21.000 Now, to keep that information from being turned over, they point out, the ACLU points out, that several times the Feds have come in doing everything they can to prevent that information from being turned over.

00:43:34.000 Let me tell you just a little bit about what Stingray is, okay?

00:43:37.000 It's essentially a way for them to triangulate your position using cell phone data.

00:43:42.000 And they're saying, well, because it's just your cell phone data, it's just metadata, and that doesn't really apply.

00:43:48.000 That's baloney.

00:43:50.000 That's meta-lies, I'd say. 0.71

00:43:52.000 They're prevaricating around the bush.

00:43:54.000 Listen, if they can profile everything about your personal habits using metadata, that's just as good as if they're going to actually read your email or if they're going to listen to you.

00:44:05.000 And we know that they're doing that too.

00:44:07.000 We know they're doing that.

00:44:08.000 We've been telling you that they're doing that.

00:44:10.000 Whistleblowers have been telling you that they're doing that.

00:44:12.000 We know they're doing that.

00:44:13.000 When they come in and say we're only getting metadata, that's a lie.

00:44:16.000 But if they were only getting metadata, if that were really true, that would be a violation.

00:44:20.000 But here's the thing that really bothers me about this.

00:44:24.000 The explanation from the Tallahassee Police Department said, even though this is a police department that according to the Wall Street Journal article said they'd used Stingray at least 200 times since 2010 without telling any judge.

00:44:36.000 And here's their reason.

00:44:38.000 The device manufacturer made the police department sign a non-disclosure agreement that the police claim prevents them from disclosing what they're going to do to the courts.

00:44:50.000 Think about that.

00:44:51.000 Think about that.

00:44:52.000 They're saying that they signed a paper with a corporation that they're not going to disclose this information to a judge as required under the law, under the Constitution, that their non-disclosure agreement with this corporation is more important than the Constitution or any laws that we write subsequent to that.

00:45:12.000 That's what they're saying.

00:45:13.000 I mean, could it be any clearer that we have a corporate fascist surveillance state here?

00:45:18.000 That a military industrial complex company, and that's their new profit center is the police state, that they can come in and have a police department sign this paper saying, you can't tell a judge if you're going to actually be using this.

00:45:32.000 And the police use that as an excuse?

00:45:34.000 Those people ought to all go to jail. 1.00

00:45:36.000 This is absolutely amazing that they would do something like this.

00:45:40.000 Let's go to your Go to your phone calls.

00:45:43.000 We've got Ashley in Wisconsin.

00:45:45.000 Ashley, go ahead. 0.95

00:45:47.000 Hi, how's it going today?

00:45:49.000 Doing fine.

00:45:50.000 I actually saw an article in Vice News under War and Conflict section that I found very interesting.

00:45:57.000 And the headline of it was, why was the FBI investigating Michael Hastings reporting on Bo Bergdahl?

00:46:03.000 And I didn't know, I'm not sure if you guys are aware, that Michael Hastings actually did a report on Bo Bergdahl.

00:46:11.000 Um, and it's actually titled, America's... Oh, goodness, I just had an email there.

00:46:16.000 It's glitching out.

00:46:17.000 But it's very interesting that I did not know that Michael Hastings was actually reporting on Bull Bergdahl.

00:46:21.000 Oh yeah, we're very aware of it.

00:46:23.000 Yeah, our Staff Sergeant Joe Biggs, uh, he was the one that Michael Hastings was embedded with.

00:46:28.000 And, um, and he, he knows quite a bit about the Bergdahl case.

00:46:31.000 He said, had several reports about it.

00:46:33.000 Actually, we've got a special report from the Nightly News last night that, uh, we're going to be running later on in the show from Staff Sergeant Joe Biggs.

00:46:41.000 Okay, so yeah, I thought that was very interesting.

00:46:43.000 I was like, ooh, I hope they know about that.

00:46:44.000 That's a very interesting connection to the two.

00:46:46.000 Yes, yes.

00:46:48.000 Yes, thank you for bringing that up.

00:46:49.000 Yes, let's go to Brian in Arizona.

00:46:52.000 Brian.

00:46:54.000 Yeah, hey, I just want to touch base on the six terrorists that got released.

00:47:00.000 And my feeling of it all is that he had no idea who the hell the person was that he let go.

00:47:07.000 If they did know, it's complete treason.

00:47:10.000 And the only threat that we have to our country is the Obama administration.

00:47:17.000 Most of all, Harry Reid.

00:47:18.000 He's shutting everything down and blaming it on the Republicans, which the Republicans are spineless, you name it.

00:47:27.000 We can go on and on about that.

00:47:29.000 Well, of course, we've known for a long time that they essentially created Al-Qaeda. 0.71

00:47:34.000 They called them something else when they started, when they were fighting the Russians.

00:47:38.000 They called them Mujahideen.

00:47:39.000 But, you know, this is something that our government creates a threat, and then they offer the solution, whether it's 9-11, whether it's the Al-Qaeda terrorists.

00:47:48.000 They create the boogeyman, and then they come to us to With a solution that they've already developed and so I think the biggest thing about this is that we need to stop tolerating This breaking of the law by the president.

00:48:03.000 How many times does this have to go on before he's impeached?

00:48:08.000 How can we stop it?

00:48:09.000 And they're not going to do it.

00:48:10.000 Yeah, but throw the race card in there again and Exactly.

00:48:13.000 Is there some general somewhere that can stop this?

00:48:16.000 Is there anything?

00:48:17.000 It's got to be we, the people.

00:48:18.000 We've got to stand up, we've got to vote, we've got to do what we can do to get this god-awful mess off the table.

00:48:24.000 Well, that's true.

00:48:25.000 I think just like with the Snowden leaks, I mean, we can't go in and physically arrest NSA.

00:48:30.000 We can't physically go in and shut them down.

00:48:33.000 And as long as we have a government that wants to do this, there's not a great deal that we can do other than things like this reset the web.

00:48:39.000 We can do things to resist it on a personal level.

00:48:43.000 We can get active and we can educate people about jury nullification.

00:48:47.000 We can shut it down.

00:48:48.000 It only takes one of us in a jury to shut down the war on drugs, which is really where this police state started a couple of decades ago.

00:48:56.000 They've now rolled it into the war on terror, but one person sitting on a jury can shut this down.

00:49:02.000 That's the beauty of the jury system.

00:49:04.000 That's one of the most powerful things we have as a people.

00:49:07.000 And so there are things that we can do to protect ourselves individually, to protect our family, and even to stand up for the rights of people who are on trial.

00:49:14.000 But most people don't want to be bothered with a jury trial.

00:49:17.000 And jury trials are so rare that most people will go in and take a plea bargain rather than trust their fellow jurors.

00:49:24.000 So yeah, I don't really know what we do.

00:49:26.000 Thank you, Brian and Arizona.

00:49:28.000 Let's go to Billy in California.

00:49:29.000 Billy?

00:49:32.000 David, I wanted to start off by saying I agree with you guys on about 90% of everything that you guys cover, and I think that you guys do a great job.

00:49:42.000 Having said that, I disagree with you guys on something that you guys are a big thing that you're missing.

00:49:49.000 I think that you guys are missing a huge conspiracy, and the conspiracy is evolution.

00:49:55.000 I mean, so many Christians out there still believe in evolution. 0.63

00:50:01.000 They believe that the Earth is billions of years old and that, you know, we evolved from monkeys.

00:50:06.000 You know, basically saying that Genesis is completely not true.

00:50:11.000 Yeah, I don't believe that, frankly.

00:50:13.000 You know, I believe in special creation.

00:50:15.000 I take the Bible literally, and I don't have any problem with defending that.

00:50:20.000 I mean, you know, there are... the key message of the Bible is what Christ did for us.

00:50:27.000 But of course, when you start talking about creation versus evolution, what you're really talking about is, do we really believe the authority of the Bible?

00:50:34.000 Are we going to go into science that is continually changing, and are we going to then try to read that back into the text in order to get the Bible to agree with whatever the science of the day says?

00:50:46.000 I don't agree with that.

00:50:48.000 I take it literally, I don't have a problem with that.

00:50:51.000 God can raise a man from the dead in three days.

00:50:54.000 I think he can create the earth in any time that he wants to.

00:50:58.000 So, we're going to be right back.

00:50:59.000 We're going to take some of your calls.

00:51:00.000 We're all over the map on all different things.

00:51:02.000 I would like to take some calls on Ed Snowden.

00:54:07.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

00:54:22.000 We're talking about a variety of subjects today.

00:54:24.000 We're talking about Obama's arrogance.

00:54:27.000 About how he's channeling Richard Nixon.

00:54:30.000 As Nixon said, if the president says it, it's not against the law.

00:54:34.000 And that's essentially what we're seeing.

00:54:36.000 Obama, he thinks, you know, a dictator is essentially somebody who just speaks the law out of his mouth.

00:54:43.000 And evidently that's what Obama thinks.

00:54:45.000 He's a dictator.

00:54:47.000 He changes Obamacare as he wishes.

00:54:49.000 He ignores the laws within the NDAA that he signed.

00:54:53.000 And we have a lot of problems with what he signed.

00:54:55.000 But whenever he violates it, the Republicans just let him get away with it.

00:55:00.000 They try to make a few cheap points as far as, with their base, as far as election purposes go.

00:55:07.000 They think that they're going to get the reins of power and they want all the power that he has.

00:55:12.000 They're not about cutting back the power that the president has assumed or the power that the central government has assumed.

00:55:19.000 They want that power in Washington.

00:55:21.000 So we're taking your calls at 800- 2-5-9, 9-2-3-1.

00:55:26.000 This is also the one-year anniversary of the first leaks of Ed Snowden exposing criminal activities by a criminal and secret government that believes that everyone, not just our president, but everyone in the bureaucracy, everyone in the Senate, everyone in the House of Representatives is essentially above the law.

00:55:47.000 So I want to get your comments on that.

00:55:49.000 Terry in Virginia, what do you think about Snowden?

00:55:54.000 Ed Snowden?

00:55:55.000 Yes, yes.

00:55:55.000 What do you think about the Snowden Leaks?

00:55:56.000 What's your take on this, on the one year anniversary?

00:56:00.000 Well, I had thought from the very beginning that Ed Snowden was a hero.

00:56:05.000 From the very first time I heard about what he did, I never doubted that, you know, what he was doing was really for the United States people and not trying to be, you know, a traitor Right.

00:56:23.000 That's what I was trying to think of.

00:56:26.000 And also, I have such a problem with people saying, oh, you know, I don't mind them spying on me because I don't have anything to hide.

00:56:36.000 And my stepson said that to me just recently.

00:56:38.000 And I said, well, how would you feel if there was a Ethan Thompson outside your window, even if he was dressed in a police uniform?

00:56:46.000 Yes.

00:56:46.000 And they're watching you.

00:56:47.000 How would you feel about that?

00:56:48.000 Exactly. 0.99

00:56:49.000 I'd go out there and I'd beat his butt is what he said. 0.99

00:56:52.000 And I said, well, it's no different. 0.99

00:56:54.000 What's different about it?

00:56:56.000 Alex has used that analogy many times.

00:56:57.000 Why do we even wear clothes?

00:56:59.000 Shouldn't everything that we have be available to the government?

00:57:02.000 If you understand human nature, you understand that giving somebody that kind of power is incredibly dangerous and it will be abused.

00:57:10.000 William Binney was a guest on our show.

00:57:12.000 We interviewed him, and of course he was one of the early NSA whistleblowers.

00:57:15.000 He was involved as the global technical head.

00:57:18.000 In other words, he was the head technical person at the NSA for quite a long time.

00:57:21.000 He worked there for over 30 years.

00:57:24.000 And he had global responsibilities.

00:57:26.000 And what he told us on this program when I interviewed him, he said, I've seen this in East Germany.

00:57:33.000 I've seen this in the Soviet Union.

00:57:36.000 In the early days when he worked for the NSA, that's what they did.

00:57:39.000 They spied on people that were perceived to be a threat to the US government abroad.

00:57:44.000 And he's very concerned when that surveillance apparatus, that spy machine, turns inward on the American people and starts surveilling the most minute details of their lives, compiling dossiers on every individual in the country.

00:58:00.000 When you allow the government to do that, You will find that they will intimidate people, that they will shut down debate, and people will be intimidated just by knowing that the government is watching them.

00:58:11.000 They will shut up and they won't do anything.

00:58:13.000 So, it's a very, very dangerous thing.

00:58:17.000 The other thing that happens is you find that they can blackmail very high-level government officials.

00:58:23.000 We've seen some very unusual things, some unusual behavior from Supreme Court Chief Justice Roberts on Obamacare.

00:58:31.000 Many people, even before the NSA leaks, believed that perhaps he was being blackmailed.

00:58:37.000 We're going to talk about the Snowden leaks.

00:58:37.000 We're going to be right back.

00:58:39.000 We're also going to talk about European Central Banks going with negative interest rates.

00:58:45.000 What is that about?

00:58:46.000 Stay tuned.

00:58:47.000 We'll be right back.

00:59:08.000 The question is, do your friends and family know?

00:59:11.000 If not, then I want to know why.

00:59:13.000 Oh, I know it's tough to talk about this with some people.

00:59:15.000 They might call you names, or they just want to talk about sports, or soap operas.

00:59:19.000 I say, so what?

00:59:20.000 There's a battle going on out there right now.

01:00:27.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.

01:00:32.000 Welcome to the Alex Jones Show.

01:00:33.000 I'm David Knight, and we are here on Thursday, June 5th, 2014, the one-year anniversary of these first documents from Edward Snowden.

01:00:44.000 That I think have done a lot to wake up the American public.

01:00:47.000 And the question is, though, are we going to do something about it?

01:00:51.000 Or are we going to just become adjusted to it?

01:00:55.000 Is it going to become the new normal?

01:00:57.000 Because now it's almost become passé.

01:01:00.000 To say that the government is watching us.

01:01:03.000 When we were saying it, when Alex Jones was saying it for years, for decades, people would laugh at him as being a conspiracy theorist.

01:01:10.000 We had whistleblowers from the NSA in the early 2000s, about 10 years before the Snowden leaks.

01:01:15.000 Telling us what was happening, that the surveillance state was moving from looking at possible terrorists and spies abroad to turning inward on the American people, compiling vast dossiers on people who were not suspected of any crime.

01:01:31.000 What's that about?

01:01:32.000 Let's take a look at one of the older reports that we had throughout this last year about Ed Snowden, and then we're going to take your calls at 800-259-9231.

01:01:38.000 Let's go to that report.

01:01:43.000 Well, Obama's defense of the NSA's constant surveillance of all Americans just reached a new level of absurdity when he compared them to Paul Revere.

01:01:53.000 After blatantly lying, even they realize they don't have any credibility.

01:01:57.000 We're putting out mindless propaganda, is what some of us feel that we're putting out, and what the American people feel that we're putting out.

01:02:05.000 What's a tyrant to do?

01:02:07.000 Well, you could pull in some corporate billionaires who wear can and glove with the NSA.

01:02:11.000 I'm sure that would help.

01:02:12.000 So it's not as though government surveillance is absolutely bad in all cases.

01:02:19.000 Is it done in a way that people trust that the normal privacy concerns are being adhered to?

01:02:28.000 It's interesting that Gates would be talking about trust.

01:02:31.000 Microsoft was the first company to partner with the NSA on violating your trust and spying on you without reason and without a warrant.

01:02:40.000 Internet companies want you to trust them with your data.

01:02:43.000 And the government wants you to give your data to a third party like Microsoft so they can get that data without a search warrant.

01:02:49.000 They merely ask companies like Microsoft and Microsoft eagerly turns over all of your information.

01:02:55.000 But it's not just gates with soothing words for the public.

01:02:58.000 Mark Andreessen, Netscape founder, now venture capitalist, took to Twitter this week to defend the NSA.

01:03:04.000 And government cheerleaders and the press were relieved that finally someone had the guts to defend the NSA.

01:03:10.000 Andreessen tweeted, I increasingly feel like we're on some gigantic collective fainting couch.

01:03:16.000 Oh my word, I can't believe that spy agencies spy.

01:03:20.000 In the US, we all collectively hired tens of thousands of our fellow citizens and gave them $75 billion a year with a mission to spy on our behalf.

01:03:30.000 Do you notice the subtle lie here?

01:03:32.000 It's not that the NSA is spying on our behalf.

01:03:36.000 It's that they're spying on us.

01:03:38.000 Illegally.

01:03:39.000 He completely loses the context of FISA.

01:03:42.000 The F stands for Foreign, and it was created because we learned in the 70s, during the Church Commission, that spy agencies weren't just spying, they were engaged in all kinds of criminal activity as well.

01:03:54.000 The purpose of FISA was to restrict the CIA and the NSA from spying domestically.

01:03:59.000 But Andreessen tries to confuse the issue further by saying, to suddenly turn on them and blanket accuse them of comprehensive illegality and moral horrors is unfair to them.

01:04:09.000 And it lets us off the hook.

01:04:11.000 Is it unfair to accuse the NSA of comprehensive illegality when they lie to Congress, when they violate FISA and the Constitution and spy on all Americans without a search warrant?

01:04:22.000 Andreessen has been trying to cover for the NSA from the very beginning of the Snowden leaks. 0.97

01:04:27.000 Trying to muddy the waters by claiming that the NSA critics are too stupid to understand the technology involved. 0.96

01:04:33.000 American citizens, as well as non-American citizens, direct access, no oversight, no court order. 0.99

01:04:38.000 These very sweeping claims.

01:04:39.000 The thing that's been so frustrating from my perspective is...

01:04:42.000 The sort of issue of technology in our society and the internet in our society is a central issue.

01:04:46.000 And to talk about it, you actually have to, people have to understand the technology.

01:04:50.000 People have to actually be willing to understand the technology.

01:04:52.000 And the original reporting simply did not understand the technology.

01:04:55.000 Andreessen saying critics simply don't understand technology couldn't be a bigger lie.

01:05:00.000 Multiple NSA whistleblowers told us about illegal surveillance 12 years ago.

01:05:10.000 In the near future.

01:05:11.000 When you realize how fake it all is, the football, the basketball.

01:08:07.000 The Genesis Communications Radio Network proudly presents The Alex Jones Show.

01:08:15.000 Because there's a war on for your mind.

01:08:18.000 Welcome back to The Alex Jones Show.

01:08:24.000 I'm David Knight, and here we are on the one-year anniversary of the Ed Snowden documents, the very first documents that were leaked.

01:08:31.000 And of course, there's been a steady stream of documents over the last year.

01:08:34.000 It's now almost become passe for people to say, hey, the government's spying on us.

01:08:39.000 Are we going to get adjusted to that?

01:08:41.000 Are we going to accept that?

01:08:43.000 Are we going to love our slavery?

01:08:45.000 Or are we going to push back?

01:08:47.000 Some people have a Reset the Net campaign, hashtag Reset the Net, it's resetthenet.org, trying to encourage people to take individual action, just as we encourage you to take individual action when it comes to water fluoridation, or GMO in your food.

01:09:02.000 There are certain things that you can do, but we also want to work together collectively to try to get individual liberty.

01:09:10.000 And so, I want to get your comments on this one year anniversary of the beginning of the Snowden documents.

01:09:15.000 Of course, They have promised, Glenn Greenwald has promised that he is going to, as kind of a grand finale, he's going to release a list of all the people that the NSA has been targeting.

01:09:26.000 I'm going to be very disappointed if I'm not on that list.

01:09:29.000 How about you?

01:09:30.000 If we're not on that list, maybe we're not doing enough to speak out, to educate, to push back against this.

01:09:36.000 They're spying on everybody, so why aren't we on that list?

01:09:40.000 I want to take your comments.

01:09:41.000 We've got Francis in North Carolina.

01:09:43.000 You had a comment about Snowden.

01:09:44.000 Go ahead.

01:09:45.000 Hi, David.

01:09:46.000 Hi.

01:09:47.000 One, when I first learned about Snowden doing this deal, I thought, you know, finally, someone's actually showing they've got testicle fortitude to actually present to the people what's really being done to them, and especially from the backside of the situation.

01:10:00.000 So, quite frankly, it's like, it's about bloody time.

01:10:04.000 Yes.

01:10:05.000 Of course, at that time, when I made that comment to people, they thought I was absolutely out of my mind.

01:10:09.000 I'd lost it, for that matter.

01:10:11.000 And was basically a traitor, and quite frankly, The politicians, the alphabet soup agencies and all that, they are the actual traitors to start with.

01:10:19.000 I couldn't agree with you more.

01:10:22.000 Yeah, now the sad part is that, mind you, when Obama actually went into a campaign to go into office, I figured he had to be better than the shrub or whoever was before him as far as his predecessor is concerned.

01:10:35.000 So I'm making an obvious confession about this is that the first time I actually campaigned to try to help him get elected, Not realizing just how big of a screw deal he was.

01:10:47.000 Because shortly after he got into office, everything went downhill.

01:10:51.000 Now what I'm trying to figure out is, just like with Bush Jr., how it is that people would go and vote for him.

01:10:58.000 Well, actually, now I realize that people didn't really vote for him because the voting machines were rigged at that time.

01:11:04.000 The fact that Obama got in the second time for a second term.

01:11:08.000 Uh, so it's like, you know something?

01:11:10.000 When you've got voting machines that are rigable and all that, computer-wise or whatnot, or hacked into, uh, it's really, you're cutting your own throat by allowing the corporations to go and do that to you.

01:11:22.000 And people being on the illusion that their vote counts.

01:11:25.000 If it did, then withdraw it because they don't deserve it and never did.

01:11:30.000 Well, that's true.

01:11:31.000 It's always a question, you know, do we participate in the system that is rigged from the very beginning?

01:11:35.000 I mean, I was involved in third party politics.

01:11:38.000 I know that they cut off access to the debates.

01:11:41.000 They cut off access to the ballots for most people.

01:11:44.000 We don't have a multi-party elections in this country anymore.

01:11:47.000 And then, of course, they control how the votes are counted.

01:11:50.000 They control the custody of the votes.

01:11:52.000 They control the totaling of the votes.

01:11:54.000 They control the reporting of the votes.

01:11:56.000 There are so many different places where they can essentially come in and corrupt it.

01:12:02.000 So, it's a very difficult system to make a decision as to whether or not you're going to participate in it or whether you're going to boycott it.

01:12:10.000 I understand there's arguments for both sides.

01:12:12.000 I mean, personally, I like to always Get in there and fight something as opposed to just stepping back.

01:12:19.000 It seems like stepping back is a passive thing to do, but I accept the other argument.

01:12:24.000 I really believe, though, that where we're going to make headway is if we understand certain things like jury nullification.

01:12:31.000 If you're one of twelve people, or in some cases six people, depending on what they do, you have a real opportunity to shut down a bad law, or shut down a draconian application.

01:12:46.000 Maybe you fundamentally agree with it, but you don't agree with the penalties that are involved in it.

01:12:52.000 But basically, we can, if we exercise those powers, and essentially jury trials are all but dead anymore.

01:12:58.000 And we're now getting to the point where, as we've learned from some of these Snowden leaks, that we don't even have a court system anymore.

01:13:04.000 There was just an article, I've got this right here on my desk, this came out earlier this week.

01:13:09.000 Sealed court files.

01:13:11.000 This is from the Wall Street Journal Online.

01:13:12.000 Sealed court files obscure a rise in electronic surveillance.

01:13:16.000 And this is right here in Texas.

01:13:18.000 This is a federal magistrate judge, Brian Owsley, who approved scores of government requests for electronic surveillance in connection with criminal investigations and then he sealed them at the request of the government.

01:13:32.000 He was bothered by that.

01:13:33.000 So, after he retired last year, he went back to unseal more than 100 of his secret orders.

01:13:40.000 Now, these are things that, along with the government's legal justification for their surveillance, these were not things like terrorism.

01:13:47.000 These were things like bank robbery, drug trafficking.

01:13:50.000 They were not state secrets, he said.

01:13:53.000 A senior judge halted the effort with a one-paragraph order that offered no explanation for the decision.

01:13:59.000 Now, this judge is saying that he thinks it's like something out of Kafka.

01:14:03.000 He's very concerned about this, that we have such a secretive society.

01:14:07.000 And I think that's one of the key things that's come out of the Snowden documents, is for people to understand that the government is shutting off all transparency, all information, about everything that they're doing.

01:14:21.000 That is an incredibly, incredibly dangerous thing.

01:14:23.000 And let me tell you where this is going to head.

01:14:26.000 And the Guardian today, there was an article from Owen Jones, and he says, Britain's first secret trial.

01:14:32.000 This is the way of trouble.

01:14:34.000 This way lies trouble.

01:14:35.000 And he says that they had two men who are known only as A.B.

01:14:40.000 and C.D.

01:14:42.000 For people that have ever watched any of the cartoon, kids cartoons, It sounds like bananas in pajamas, you know, B1 and B2.

01:14:51.000 My kids used to see that when they were very young.

01:14:53.000 He said, they've been charged with terrorism, these two people, AB and CD.

01:14:58.000 Journalists were forbidden from disclosing even that simple fact until newspapers overturned a gagging order.

01:15:05.000 For the first time in centuries, in a direct challenge to the Magna Carta of 1215, the entire trial will be held in secrecy.

01:15:14.000 Do you understand?

01:15:15.000 This is where we're going.

01:15:16.000 We are overturning Hundreds of years of tradition that protects individual liberties.

01:15:25.000 Star chambers, secret proceedings, people not being allowed to have a jury.

01:15:31.000 This is where we're headed with this police state.

01:15:34.000 They're surveilling people, they've already passed the NDAA where they can indefinitely detain people even without a trial.

01:15:41.000 So they can either have a secret trial or they can have no trial at all.

01:15:44.000 And he points out This is a quote from somebody named Shammy Chakrabarty.

01:15:50.000 I don't know who that is.

01:15:51.000 It's somebody from the UK.

01:15:53.000 But he says, transparency isn't an optional luxury in the justice system.

01:15:57.000 It's the key to ensuring fairness and protecting the rule of law.

01:16:01.000 And then they have a couple of examples.

01:16:03.000 They say, this same government that's now in power in the UK passed a justice and security act just last year that instead of judges, They allow ministers to be given power over evidence in court, risking the principle of a fair trial.

01:16:18.000 And then it goes all the way back to Margaret Thatcher in 1986.

01:16:21.000 She had a Public Order Act.

01:16:23.000 What happened with that was they criminalized words or behavior that would cause harassment, alarm, or distress.

01:16:29.000 And he points out, who would have thought When that was passed, that it would eventually be used against a wide range of groups, all the way from gay rights activists to Christian street preachers.

01:16:40.000 Just a public order act saying that you can't use harassing speech or speech that's going to cause alarm or distress.

01:16:46.000 Then they give one more example here that says, neither did proponents of the Terrorism Act suggest that the source of people on the receiving end Would include an octogenarian refugee called Walter Wolfgang, who had fled the Nazis and had the temerity to hackle a minister.

01:17:03.000 So he gets hit with the Anti-Terrorism Act.

01:17:07.000 That's what we're seeing in America with the Patriot Act.

01:17:09.000 That's what we're seeing with the FISA Court, which is secretly holding these trials.

01:17:14.000 And we were told that Obama was going to be the most transparent president we'd ever had.

01:17:19.000 He campaigned on transparency.

01:17:21.000 He has been a transparent fraud.

01:17:24.000 He's been a transparent dictator. 0.77

01:17:26.000 Many people on the left have the honesty to stand up and say that, to point that out.

01:17:31.000 But many people, just as we see with Republicans, have more allegiance to their political party than they do to principle.

01:17:38.000 And so that's why we see all these people lining up in lockstep behind him.

01:17:43.000 So far, that hasn't really happened with the Bergdahl case.

01:17:46.000 We'll see if that's something that's going to, if they're going to change.

01:17:50.000 So far, we've only seen Harry Reid go in and support him 100% on this.

01:17:55.000 Everybody else has tried to distance themselves from him.

01:17:57.000 Even Dianne Feinstein has said that he broke the law.

01:18:01.000 Well, if he broke the law, when are we going to do something about it?

01:18:05.000 I don't know.

01:18:06.000 Let's go to the right to bear arms and FEMA camp, FEMA region number 10.

01:18:12.000 David, exactly.

01:18:13.000 That's what I was going to speak to you about.

01:18:16.000 We need to link up and watch what they do with Edward Snowden.

01:18:19.000 I saw a link to the Drudge Report that said possibly he might make a trip back to the U.S.

01:18:25.000 Also, with Bo Bergdahl, They're saying that he left.

01:18:30.000 One of the first orders, even in basic training that you take out of the military myself, is the order is I will not quit my post until properly relieved.

01:18:39.000 If you do that, you are a term that we have not seen thrown out there yet in the media, which is AWOL.

01:18:45.000 AWOL is absent without leave.

01:18:48.000 That is a punishable offense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

01:18:52.000 This is something that has not been brought up as well.

01:18:55.000 I think we need to watch both of what they do with both of these people.

01:18:59.000 Supposedly, both of them have leaked some kind of information to the enemy, or given information to the enemy, and we need to see if there's any consistency on how we deal with both of these.

01:19:12.000 You know, when you say that Snowden has leaked information to the enemy, you know, quite frankly, I don't think it came as news to any European spy agency that the American spy agency was doing what they're doing.

01:19:27.000 I don't think it came as any news to any terrorists that the NSA was watching them.

01:19:32.000 I think the only people that were surprised were the American public who had no reason to suspect that their government was spying on them.

01:19:40.000 We reported it.

01:19:41.000 Nobody believed us when we said it.

01:19:43.000 Nobody paid any attention to the NSA whistleblower like Benny and Drake and others.

01:19:48.000 It was ignored by the mainstream media.

01:19:50.000 They pretended that it didn't exist, just as they did Bilderberg.

01:19:53.000 The same technique we saw the Chinese government use against Tiananmen Square.

01:19:57.000 Ignore it, pretend it's not there, flush it down the memory hole.

01:20:01.000 Fortunately, I think the most important thing about Snowden is that this is now out and in the public.

01:20:06.000 And we understand who the real criminals are.

01:20:09.000 Gentlemen, in search of a million-dollar smile that'll make them take notice, I mean really get their attention?

01:24:21.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show!

01:24:29.000 We've been taking calls and comments about the one-year anniversary of the Ed Snowden documents beginning to leak.

01:24:35.000 What do you think is going to happen?

01:24:37.000 What's your take on it?

01:24:38.000 Is he a criminal?

01:24:39.000 Did he betray state secrets?

01:24:41.000 Or did he inform us of who the real criminals are?

01:24:45.000 Did he get people to believe what Alex Jones and NSA whistleblowers have been telling people for more than 10 years in many cases.

01:24:53.000 Alex has been talking about it longer than the NSA whistleblowers have.

01:24:56.000 They blew the whistle back in the early 2000s.

01:24:58.000 And about 10 years later...

01:25:01.000 Snowden produced the documents.

01:25:04.000 You know, we had a report in the very first segment of this hour going over Microsoft and what Mark Andreessen had said, basically cheering the NSA on.

01:25:15.000 And you know, we had information back in December that was leaked.

01:25:19.000 Another one of the Snowden documents essentially showing Apple's involvement in this.

01:25:24.000 And there were a series of slides that I found to be very disturbing in both their cynicism and their mockery of the American public.

01:25:33.000 It was a series of three slides.

01:25:35.000 And if you all remember, the Mac was introduced in 1984 with that award-winning commercial.

01:25:40.000 It was shot by Ridley Scott.

01:25:41.000 It aired on the Super Bowl just once.

01:25:44.000 It's been seen many, many times about the runner who runs up with the hammer and throws it into the Big Brother screen and explodes it.

01:25:53.000 And they showed that, a single shot of that commercial, and they said, who would have thought that in 1984, then you get the next slide, and it says that this, and they show the iPhone, would become Big Brother and then they show people lined up outside the Apple stores in order to get an iPhone which is nothing but a surveillance device for the NSA.

01:26:18.000 Now that's the way the police state rolls out.

01:26:21.000 That's the way the Technological, technocratic takeover of our society rolls out.

01:26:29.000 It rolls out with one hand to help you and another one in your back pocket.

01:26:34.000 Another one spying on your most personal aspects.

01:26:37.000 That's what we're seeing happening.

01:26:38.000 Now, they pointed out that, of course, there was a piece of software, Dropout Jeep.

01:26:45.000 It's very well known.

01:26:46.000 The NSA uses that.

01:26:47.000 And the Wall Street Journal said Apple says it never worked with NSA to create a backdoor on the products.

01:26:53.000 And yet, either Apple is very technically incompetent, or they were working with them.

01:26:58.000 And that's the same thing you can say about all of these different companies.

01:27:01.000 Because, of course, It's kind of a, probably like a mobster type of thing, that's the way these guys work.

01:27:08.000 They come in and say, well you can either be a part of us, we'll promote you, we'll give you government contracts, we'll give you access, or we'll basically find some way to shut you down with some kind of a white glove inspection.

01:27:19.000 That's the way they can shake these corporations down.

01:27:22.000 They do it with small businesses, they do it with individuals, and of course they can do it with the biggest of the companies.

01:27:28.000 I think it's interesting that Apple did not join the PRISM program until after Steve Jobs was gone.

01:27:33.000 So, I don't think that he was all that amenable to it, but I think that the people who've been left behind, who are essentially managers, not visionaries like Steve Jobs, don't really see that it's their lives that are on the line, and not just ours.

01:27:49.000 Because, you know, If they turn this over into a police state, they're the ones who are going to be under the microscope as well.

01:27:58.000 As always, the people who are the leaders of a country, just as we saw in the coup in Thailand, we always see that it's the legislators, the people who are in power, that are the greatest threat to these people.

01:28:09.000 They're the ones who are lined up and taken away first.

01:28:12.000 So that's something for them to keep in mind.

01:28:15.000 In just a couple of minutes that we've got left, let's go quickly to Jason in Colorado.

01:28:18.000 Jason, you had a comment about the Ed Snowden documents.

01:28:23.000 Yes, sir.

01:28:23.000 Go ahead.

01:28:24.000 I'm just here to say that I actually think what he did was a good thing, as long as he's done it under the right reasoning, and I'm pretty sure that the government is going to make it twist into something that it's not.

01:28:38.000 And on another thing that you were talking about as far as the internet is concerned, how is the best way to Find out what sites and stuff you can actually still go to that isn't under government control or spying on us.

01:28:52.000 I know yours isn't and I love your site.

01:28:54.000 I've only been here for like a month watching you guys and I've done everything I can to help out with this system because I actually use what you guys are doing.

01:29:03.000 Well, thank you.

01:29:04.000 You know, they're spying on everybody on the Internet, and that's something people need to be aware of.

01:29:08.000 That's what this Reset the Net campaign is about.

01:29:10.000 If you're a developer, what can you do to give people tools that are going to, if not totally block this, because when we had William Binney on, of course he was the global technical director, he said, there isn't anything you can do to stop it.

01:29:23.000 But if everybody is doing that, that's the point in the Reset the Net campaign.

01:29:27.000 If everybody is resisting them, That's a very effective strategy, just as we see if one person stands up and opposes the government in a protest, they're going to slam you down.

01:29:38.000 We've seen that even in open carry rallies.

01:29:40.000 When you've got a thousand people with guns slung over their shoulder, they leave everybody alone.

01:29:44.000 Everybody leaves and you've got just one person left, they get hassled.

01:29:48.000 We stand together collectively for our individual rights.

01:29:52.000 The words to stand together or we're gonna hang separately as Benjamin Franklin has always been that way.

01:29:57.000 We'll be right back.

01:29:58.000 We're on the march.

01:29:59.000 The Empire's on the run.

01:30:02.000 Alex Jones and the GCN Radio Network.

01:30:09.000 In the last 50 years, iodine has been phased out of our staple foods and replaced with the halogen bromine, a practice now banned in nations around the world.

01:30:19.000 Guess what else is in the halogen family?

01:30:21.000 Fluoride!

01:30:22.000 Ladies and gentlemen, Alex Jones here.

01:30:24.000 In 1924, the federal government did the right thing and encouraged salt producers to add iodine.

01:30:31.000 It's the good halogen on the periodic table, and the results are on record.

01:30:36.000 Reports documented a 15-point IQ increase in areas that had previously been deficient in iodine.

01:30:42.000 Bottom line, iodine is important.

01:30:44.000 Unbound, clean, in a glycerin base, nascent iodine was the answer for myself and my family.

01:31:18.000 The question is, do your friends and family know?

01:31:21.000 If not, then I want to know why.

01:31:23.000 Oh, I know it's tough to talk about this with some people.

01:31:25.000 They might call you names, or they just want to talk about sports, or soap operas.

01:31:29.000 I say, so what?

01:31:31.000 There's a battle going on out there right now.

01:32:15.000 It's like I don't even exist.

01:32:17.000 Oh Betty, that's just awful.

01:32:19.000 Does this seem familiar?

01:32:20.000 If the answer to this question is yes, then listen carefully.

01:32:23.000 Toxic pesticides, GMO foods and additives, BPA plastics, contaminated water supplies.

01:32:28.000 Many of these toxic additives are deliberately engineered to attack and weaken human masculinity.

01:32:34.000 It's part of the eugenics population control movement. 0.91

01:33:09.000 Music Leading a frontal assault on the lives of the New World Order, it's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.

01:33:39.000 We'll be right back.

01:33:40.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

01:33:42.000 I'm David Knight.

01:33:43.000 I'm your host today.

01:33:44.000 We've been talking about the one-year anniversary of the Snowden documents, the beginning of the leaks.

01:33:49.000 What do you think of it?

01:33:50.000 What do you think of what the effect is going to be of that?

01:33:53.000 And of course, we're also talking about the release, the prisoner exchange that Obama did where he illegally released five Gitmo detainees without following the 30-day procedure.

01:34:04.000 That's a very, very clear violation of the law.

01:34:08.000 Are we going to just say, do that one more time and I'm going to get serious about enforcing the law?

01:34:13.000 I'm going to maybe impeach you, as Ms. 0.99

01:34:15.000 Lindsey Graham said. 0.95

01:34:16.000 Or are we going to really see our politicians do something?

01:34:19.000 Are they just going to score some cheap partisan points for the election?

01:34:24.000 Or are they going to stand for the rule of law finally?

01:34:28.000 As George Will pointed out, it was Nixon who said on the David Frost Show, when the President does it, that means it's not illegal.

01:34:35.000 Well, you know, that's what we're seeing all the time from Obama.

01:34:38.000 Whether it's Obamacare just being amended at will by our commander, our dictator-in-chief, or whether he's killing American citizens abroad, assassinating them with drones, with secret orders.

01:34:53.000 That's what we see happening.

01:34:54.000 So, we're taking your calls on that, but I want to tell you first that this half hour of the Alex Jones Show is brought to you by one of our new products, Survival Shield X2.

01:35:04.000 It's much stronger than regular Survival Shield through a unique manufacturing process that utilizes iodine sources from deep within the earth.

01:35:12.000 And tomorrow, we're going to bring you some pictures of what those look like.

01:35:16.000 It's pretty amazing.

01:35:17.000 It's a unique new process that uses a high purity grade of iodine From more than 7,000 feet below the Earth's surface, below the radiation Fukushima wave, is extracted from an ancient salt solution that yields a powerful and uncontaminated 650 micrograms of iodine per single drop.

01:35:36.000 It's tested with radiation readings at the labs to ensure freedom from Fukushima radiation.

01:35:42.000 Developed proprietary technology to create nascent iodine by using our key thermodynamic pressure sensitive high energy sound pulse nano emulsion technology.

01:35:54.000 And we're going to be at the factory tomorrow to give you a shot of what that mouthful looks like.

01:36:00.000 We should come up with some kind of an acronym for that, you know, just like when they were killing the premature babies, they called it SUPPORT, you know.

01:36:06.000 But actually, this is something that you need to see.

01:36:09.000 This is a great source of a vital nutrient that you need.

01:36:13.000 You can get it at InfoWarsStore.com.

01:36:16.000 The toll-free number for that is 888-253-3139.

01:36:17.000 Again, that's 888-253-3139.

01:36:18.000 888-253-3139.

01:36:21.000 Again, that's 888-253-3139.

01:36:25.000 That's Survival Shield X2, our new product here.

01:36:28.000 Now, one of the other things that we hope that you'll support us with is Prison Planet TV.

01:36:34.000 We have the nightly news there, we have all of Alex's documentaries going back are available for you to see as well as up to 10 people that you share your password with if you wish to help wake them up.

01:36:48.000 Now every night we have great news and special reports from our people and as one of the callers earlier mentioned There was a connection between the release of Bergdahl and Michael Hastings, and of course our own Staff Sergeant Joe Biggs, who now works on the Nightly News, was in the platoon that Michael Hastings was embedded with.

01:37:10.000 He was a commander of that platoon at the Staff Sergeant level, and got to know him very well, so he knows a great deal about this Bergdahl situation here.

01:37:20.000 We got a report that he filed last night.

01:37:22.000 I want you to get his analysis of the comments and the video as they had this prisoner exchange.

01:37:28.000 Here's that report.

01:37:33.000 And welcome to the Obama Distraction. 0.51

01:37:36.000 I'm sorry to interrupt your coverage of the VA scandal, but people are starting to get tired of watching the Malaysian flight investigation.

01:37:43.000 So the President's feelings are starting to get a little bit hurt due to the fact that his government-run health care plan's not working out too good.

01:37:51.000 So, without further ado, I bring to you the Obama Distraction, Beau Bergdahl.

01:37:57.000 Bergdahl claimed he was nabbed when he fell behind on patrol, but his fellow soldiers say he simply walked off post.

01:38:05.000 The military devoted weeks to searching for him, and now some in his battalion are claiming that at least six soldiers were killed during those missions.

01:38:14.000 Alright, we're going to break down the video of the Beau Bergdahl release from the Taliban to American soldiers.

01:38:21.000 As you can see, Bo is sitting in the back of the Taliban vehicle.

01:38:23.000 At this point, the Taliban guy is telling him to not come back to Afghanistan.

01:38:28.000 And I don't think he really means just him overall.

01:38:30.000 I think he means it's a message to America.

01:38:33.000 Stay out.

01:38:33.000 We don't want you here.

01:38:36.000 Here we are, helicopter coming in.

01:38:38.000 Taliban guys, RPGs on the mountain.

01:38:41.000 But just remember too though, the government was saying when they found Bergdahl he was in a very weakened state.

01:38:46.000 Looks to me he's standing up on his own and he is walking away just fine.

01:38:50.000 Notice that pad on the back from this op right here, making sure he doesn't have a vest on or anything like that.

01:38:58.000 Alright, he's walking up to the helicopter with these guys.

01:38:59.000 Notice none of these guys are armed.

01:39:02.000 The Taliban had the white flag up.

01:39:04.000 Bill Bergdahl once again gets patted down.

01:39:07.000 Checked.

01:39:07.000 Make sure he's got no weapons or anything that's threatening.

01:39:11.000 And they're going to put him in the helicopter and fly off.

01:39:14.000 He was looking for someone who spoke English so he could talk to the Taliban. 0.71

01:39:18.000 And when we heard that, it told us, okay, he's actively seeking out the Taliban.

01:39:23.000 Over the next couple months, all the attacks definitely were far more directed.

01:39:27.000 Following his disappearance, ID started going off directly under the trucks.

01:39:32.000 They were getting perfect hits every time.

01:39:34.000 Their ambushes were very calculated, very methodical, like they knew what we were going to do.

01:39:40.000 What you just heard Bo Bergl's former team leader say is in fact true.

01:39:44.000 If you go to the wikileaks.org Afghan war files, you can actually read everything that happened that day, where they actually say that they found him actively seeking the Taliban.

01:39:57.000 They heard chatter, and the Coochie tribe picked him up asking for Taliban who spoke English. 0.98

01:40:04.000 I mean, it's all right there.

01:40:06.000 This is a big distraction from the VA, but it is a story worth covering.

01:40:11.000 Alright, so if you're tired of the mainstream media mass distraction, make sure you tune in to InfoWars and also go to PrisonPlanet.tv.

01:40:19.000 And don't forget, your username and password can be shared with up to 10 people.

01:40:23.000 All right, that's a report from Staff Sergeant Joe Biggs.

01:40:25.000 And, of course, he was in Afghanistan as well as Iraq, and he knew Michael Hastings very well.

01:40:31.000 Hey, what's up man?

01:40:31.000 Let me get you off speaker.

01:40:32.000 before this ever happened.

01:40:34.000 And, of course, Chuck Hagel is putting out the story now that they had to get him because he was in a weakened state.

01:40:39.000 Or Obama said, we saw an opportunity and we seized it.

01:40:42.000 That's why we didn't follow the law.

01:40:43.000 It was an emergency.

01:40:44.000 I don't make any apologies for that.

01:40:46.000 So I don't buy that.

01:40:48.000 I don't know if you do.

01:40:49.000 We've got Michael in FEMA region number nine.

01:40:52.000 You wanted to talk about this, Michael?

01:40:54.000 Hey, what's up, man?

01:40:56.000 Let me get you off speaker.

01:40:57.000 Okay, yeah, please do.

01:40:59.000 Hey, David.

01:40:59.000 Hey.

01:41:01.000 Hey, I've got notes taken down.

01:41:03.000 Snowden, what is, let me ask you a question.

01:41:05.000 What's the medal that's the equivalent of the CMH that they give to civilians?

01:41:11.000 Well, I don't know.

01:41:12.000 I've never been given a medal by my government.

01:41:14.000 I don't know.

01:41:15.000 What I believe they should do is they should, Obama should pin that medal on Snowden's chest and then they should hang Bergdahl Because it's an act of high treason during a time of war, what they call war, and then impeach Obama.

01:41:32.000 That's right.

01:41:32.000 It is a striking contrast, isn't it, that they would have so many soldiers killed for searching for a deserter, and then at the same time we have someone reveal criminal actions of our government that they would come after him and say they want to put him in jail, they want to execute him.

01:41:49.000 There's been a lot of calls even to execute Glenn Greenwald.

01:41:53.000 Uh, we've seen over and over again on television, it's like, hey, this journalist, and we've seen Obama prosecute more people under the 1917 Espionage Act than all the other presidents combined.

01:42:05.000 All the other presidents before Obama Only invoked that act four times in Obama in just five years has done it seven times against Pulitzer Prize winning journalists.

01:42:15.000 I mean, he is trying to shut down the press and the public's right to know about anything.

01:42:20.000 But it is a striking contrast, isn't it?

01:42:22.000 The way they have treated this deserter versus somebody who warned us about our government's illegal actions.

01:42:30.000 I agree with you 100%, David.

01:42:33.000 Try to do, have one of your guys look up what the name of that medal is that they give to high-end civilians.

01:42:40.000 It's just like a Congressional Medal of Honor, but that's what Snowden should receive.

01:42:45.000 One other thing I want to say, and I want to say it loud and clear, and I've said it before on the Alex Jones Show, is that I've had friends say, you shouldn't say this online, you shouldn't say this on your Facebook, you shouldn't say this on your cell phone.

01:42:59.000 I hope they're listening to me.

01:43:01.000 That's what I got to say.

01:43:02.000 My name is Michael, FEMA Region 9.

01:43:05.000 Thank you for your time, David Knight.

01:43:07.000 Well, Michael, you're going to have to watch out for that list when Greenwald eventually releases it.

01:43:11.000 See if your name is on the list of people they've been watching.

01:43:14.000 Of course, they've been watching everybody, but some people they take special interest in here because it's political dissidents that they don't like.

01:43:22.000 It's Tea Party members that they don't like.

01:43:24.000 It's conservatives and libertarians and Ron Paul supporters and Chuck Baldwin supporters that they don't like.

01:43:30.000 And they've made that very clear, and they are training To take over towns under martial law.

01:43:37.000 We see it in their scenarios, we see it in their cities, as I walked through with Staff Sergeant Joe Biggs there in the Asymmetric Warfare Center in Virginia.

01:43:47.000 And as part of that, leading up to that, we went back and looked at their own videos, at their conferences, where they were talking about this.

01:43:53.000 I found it very interesting that these people who were talking about the history of asymmetric warfare, what was working for them, what was not, and by the way, They've never won an asymmetric war, and they admitted that.

01:44:06.000 But they also said the legitimacy of a government can be measured by how much security forces they need to use in order to maintain stability.

01:44:18.000 So I would say that by that yardstick, I would say that our own government believes that it is not acting legitimately, because they are ramping up the security state in this country like nobody can imagine.

01:44:31.000 Let's go to another caller.

01:44:33.000 Peter in Pennsylvania.

01:44:34.000 You wanted to talk about propaganda.

01:44:36.000 Go ahead, Peter.

01:44:41.000 Alex is a little better on air because he's a little bit more of a showman than you, but you do a great job anyways.

01:44:47.000 Anyways, you were very courageous with Clive Bundy, and you know how they race baited them like they usually do? 1.00

01:44:47.000 Thank you. 1.00

01:44:56.000 Oh yeah.

01:44:57.000 So that's just standard operating procedure.

01:45:00.000 The reason I'm calling is, did you happen to catch the Between Two Ferns episode between Obama and Zach Galifianakis?

01:45:08.000 Yeah, yeah, I saw a little bit of that.

01:45:10.000 I couldn't really watch too much of it.

01:45:12.000 It was making me sick.

01:45:16.000 What did you think about that?

01:45:17.000 Well, I have a master's degree in psychology and I study history in my spare time, in particular propaganda, Goebbels, other Soviet propaganda, and Obama and Galifianakis made Goebbels look like a Like an elementary student compared to a guy with a PhD on this video.

01:45:40.000 So basically I'm writing a script for Counter-propaganda, you know?

01:45:49.000 Let me ask you, while we're talking about propaganda, it was just within this last year, I believe, that the government has said that they're going to use Radio Free Europe and Voice America.

01:45:58.000 They had always used those strictly in foreign countries and communist countries, and it was overt propaganda.

01:46:07.000 Now they say they're going to use those organizations here domestically in the United States.

01:46:12.000 How do you feel about that?

01:46:16.000 Yeah.

01:46:17.000 They removed the act, you know, that was forbidden when they created them right after, right at the height of the Cold War, right after World War II, they created those two agencies and they expressly forbade them to do anything in the United States, just as we had after the church committee hearings.

01:46:32.000 The intelligence community was forbidden to spy on Americans.

01:46:37.000 It was supposed to be only for foreigners that they were going to spy on.

01:46:41.000 But now we see that they're using their spy machine here on Americans and dragnet surveillance.

01:46:46.000 And now we see that they're going to broadcast propaganda to us just like they did in the Cold War.

01:46:51.000 Because they know that they're losing the information war, aren't they?

01:46:55.000 No, they're not.

01:46:56.000 We have people like Alex Jones, we have people like you, we have people like Drudge that they're not going to beat us.

01:47:02.000 How do you fight an idea like it was in Ben-Hur with another idea?

01:47:06.000 And I don't want to take much time, but I'll tell you a little bit about the script without giving it away.

01:47:12.000 Essentially, you switch roles. 0.94

01:47:13.000 You have a fat, sloppy-looking guy as president. 1.00

01:47:17.000 And a real well-reserved, well-spoken, instead of stupid-looking guy interviewing him. 1.00

01:47:25.000 And rather than the president dodging the questions with humor, you know, he'd say stuff to Zek Galifianakis like, nobody cares about your texts. 0.97

01:47:34.000 But he didn't answer the fact that it's illegal for him to read anybody's text messages or emails or phone conversations.

01:47:42.000 Oh, absolutely.

01:47:43.000 So, with that being said, it ended in the green room, and Obama said, what's going on?

01:47:49.000 Why are you on the set of my green room?

01:47:52.000 For my script, it's going to end in Guantanamo with this metaphor of a president being detained for breaking the law.

01:48:02.000 So, I'm going to email it to you in rewards.

01:48:05.000 If Alex thinks it's a good idea, you guys are more than welcome to shoot it.

01:48:09.000 Well, thanks. 0.84

01:48:10.000 Appreciate that.

01:48:11.000 Let's go to Joseph in Canada.

01:48:13.000 Joseph?

01:48:15.000 Yes, g'day.

01:48:17.000 I'm talking about the Snowden thing.

01:48:21.000 I guess it's a good thing that, you know, eventually he does try to come out and eventually Try to expose these things, but at the same time, you know, you're still left with the real rationalization that there's really nothing that's being done with the information.

01:48:45.000 I mean, we have insurmountable amounts of data that's proven that these people are abusing their positions.

01:48:56.000 They're acting incorrectly.

01:49:00.000 Performing atrocities that are, you know, costing people's lives.

01:49:04.000 They're acts of treason.

01:49:07.000 They're murdering people.

01:49:09.000 And I think it really is going to take people that are in positions of power to wake up and say, look, you know, we're not, we're not going to accept, you know, what you're going to offer us.

01:49:25.000 You know, for, you know, some monetary gain for right now.

01:49:28.000 Well, that's exactly true.

01:49:29.000 You know, the question is, when we expose these things, are we going to just sit there and watch it and say, yeah, that's right.

01:49:35.000 Yeah, I know that.

01:49:36.000 And nothing happens.

01:49:37.000 And so we just, as a society, become more cynical, more passive, just accept this and say, well, you know, corruption and illegal activities, that's just the way the government operates.

01:49:48.000 I hope that what's going to happen is eventually, if you remember the Iron Curtain in East Germany where they were shooting people going over the border in West Berlin, from East Berlin to West Berlin, one day the soldiers just decided that they weren't going to do that anymore.

01:50:05.000 One day the people got together, they met at a church, they marched up to the borders there where the soldiers were guarding those walls.

01:50:12.000 And the soldiers just stood down because the people were sick and tired of it.

01:50:15.000 Sometimes it takes a very long time for that to happen before the people who are implementing the policies for them essentially just make that ineffective.

01:50:25.000 Now there's some other tools that we have still in America that we're not using.

01:50:29.000 As I mentioned several times already, jury nullification.

01:50:32.000 There are things that we can do as individuals that are very potent, very powerful ways to shut down this a little bit at a time.

01:50:39.000 We can protest, we can do other things.

01:50:42.000 The question is, are we going to just become cynical in accepting of this, or are we going to push back against this?

01:50:49.000 And of course, we have, I think, a limited amount of time, because what's going to happen is eventually they're not going to need those soldiers and police officers.

01:50:57.000 They're going to have force multipliers with robotics and with drones, and that's when it gets really dangerous.

01:51:04.000 Will we change before then?

01:51:05.000 We're going to take your comments right after we come back.

01:51:07.000 We're also going to talk about Obama's cold rules.

01:54:06.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

01:54:27.000 This is the one-year anniversary of the beginning of the Snowden document leaks.

01:54:31.000 We've been taking your comments on that, as well as Obama's unilateral dictatorial actions.

01:54:38.000 The latest being the exchange of five Taliban for one deserter.

01:54:44.000 Do you think that's a good trade?

01:54:46.000 What do you think about the law?

01:54:47.000 Now, we've got an article that just went up on Infowars.com from Kurt Nemo.

01:54:52.000 Impeach Obama over the Gitmo release?

01:54:53.000 How about the hypocrisy of Senator Lindsey Graham?

01:54:58.000 And we're going to be talking about that in the next break, but I've got somebody hanging on the phone here to talk to us about banks.

01:55:05.000 And there was an interesting item in the news today.

01:55:08.000 European Central Bank is taking a radical step.

01:55:11.000 This is from the New York Times.

01:55:12.000 In an unprecedented attempt to stimulate the Eurozone economy, the European Central Bank said it will begin charging interest on deposits held by the bank.

01:55:21.000 You understand that?

01:55:22.000 They're going to charge interest on deposits.

01:55:24.000 Not on loans, but on deposits.

01:55:26.000 It's called a negative interest rate.

01:55:29.000 And this is something that is coming to us from, guess who?

01:55:31.000 Super Mario.

01:55:32.000 That's Mario Draghi.

01:55:34.000 The guy who was the Goldman Sachs banker who was put in charge of Italy's economy, deposing the duly elected person who was there.

01:55:43.000 He's now currently the European Central Bank president.

01:55:47.000 And they said that imposing a negative deposit rate is meant to give a positive jolt to the Eurozone economy.

01:55:53.000 In the annals of central banking, however, negative deposit rates have rarely been tried.

01:55:58.000 Yeah, that's right.

01:55:59.000 Let's see what happens.

01:56:00.000 But, hey, it's a sweetheart deal for the bankers, isn't it?

01:56:02.000 If they can charge you to just deposit your money with them.

01:56:06.000 Not to loan you money, but to have your money be deposited with them.

01:56:10.000 And, of course, we have the story that's up on InfoWars today from Zero Hedge.

01:56:14.000 A financial reporter claims that debt is, quote, the bridge from working hard to playing hard.

01:56:21.000 This is a guy, his name is Steve Leisman, appropriately named.

01:56:25.000 He says, debt is always pointed out as a negative thing, when, in fact, debt is the great bridge between working hard and playing hard in this country.

01:56:34.000 This country has been built on consumer debt.

01:56:38.000 No, this country is a house of cards on top of consumer debt that is about to fall down as well as nationally.

01:56:47.000 And of course, that's a situation that has been engineered by these central bankers, the ones who are Pumping and dumping the mortgage market, pumping and dumping the Euro, who engineered, as we pointed out, 59 years ago, according to a former chairman of the Bilderberg Group, they engineered the Euro and the Eurozone, the European Union.

01:57:10.000 They did that to take control of those countries, to pump up the assets, then to implode it like a kind of a panic in a bank situation as we've seen happen with JP Morgan with the founding of the Federal Reserve.

01:57:25.000 They always pump it, they dump it, they buy it up at fire sale prices.

01:57:30.000 One more story about the bankers and we'll go to Minnesota Polar Bears comments.

01:57:35.000 Hillary Clinton's Goldman Sachs problems.

01:57:37.000 This is from Mother Jones.

01:57:38.000 They point out the hypocrisy of Hillary Clinton complaining about the wealth concentration of the top 0.01 percent.

01:57:48.000 She says that's risen sharply over the last generation.

01:57:50.000 It's a throwback to the Gilded Age of robber barons.

01:57:54.000 But they say, is this Hillary test-driving a theme for a possible 2016 presidential campaign?

01:57:59.000 Sticking up for the little guy?

01:58:00.000 Trashing the economic elites?

01:58:03.000 She talked about the shadow banking system that operated without accountability, and yet, all three Clintons were having a day-long confab with donors to their foundation.

01:58:15.000 And guess where they were meeting?

01:58:17.000 At the Manhattan headquarters of Goldman Sachs.

01:58:20.000 How's that for hypocrisy?

01:58:23.000 Their foundation's gotten between a quarter and a half million dollars from them just recently, from just Goldman Sachs.

01:58:29.000 So she's running, she's going to use some populist rhetoric, just as Obama used rhetoric about being transparent. 1.00

01:58:36.000 But we'll see what really happens if she becomes president. 1.00

01:58:39.000 Let's hope that that doesn't happen.

01:58:41.000 We're going to be right back after the break.

01:58:43.000 We're going to take calls and we're going to talk about Obama's EPA coal plant regulations.

01:58:48.000 Stay tuned.

01:58:51.000 This is GCN, the Genesis Communications Radio Network.

01:58:59.000 The globalists have controlled the mainstream media for a long time, but now they're expanding, making the weaponization even more vicious and deceptive.

01:59:07.000 All the major networks are state-run.

01:59:09.000 We are partnering this year with the NFL.

01:59:12.000 The NFL has become a political weapon against the Second Amendment, and pushes Obamacare.

01:59:16.000 MSNBC tells us that our children belong to the state.

01:59:19.000 We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.

01:59:27.000 It is more important than ever to realize that we are not the alternative media.

01:59:31.000 We are the true media.

01:59:33.000 The establishment dinosaur press is dying.

01:59:36.000 We are in an information war and we are losing that war.

02:00:01.000 Waging war on corruption.

02:00:04.000 Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.

02:00:07.000 Big Brother.

02:00:16.000 Mainstream media.

02:00:17.000 Government cover-ups.

02:00:19.000 You want answers?

02:00:21.000 Well, so does he.

02:00:22.000 He's Alex Jones on the GCN Radio Network.

02:00:27.000 And now, live from Austin, Texas, Alex Jones.

02:00:32.000 Welcome to the Alex Jones Show, I'm David Knight and we were talking just before the top of the hour about Hillary Clinton's Goldman Sachs problems and of course how the bankers engineer the economic disasters of the euro of the mortgage collapse here in the United States and how Hillary Clinton is complaining about these economic elites and sounding very populist at the same time All three Clintons are meeting at the Goldman Sachs headquarters in Manhattan.

02:01:03.000 Mother Jones pointed out that great hypocrisy and the fact that they have been receiving between a quarter and a half million dollars to their Clinton Foundation.

02:01:12.000 And they ask, can the former Secretary of State cultivate populist credentials while hobnobbing with Goldman Sachs and pocketing money from it and other Wall Street firms?

02:01:21.000 Well, of course she can, because the media is going to cover for her. 0.93

02:01:25.000 That's why it is so important for us to have a free press.

02:01:29.000 And one of the things that we can learn, I think, from the Snowden documents is that for the longest time we had the NSA whistleblowers, as well as everything that we were saying, opposed by the mainstream media.

02:01:44.000 Finally, one paper, The Guardian, takes these documents and people start to pay attention to it.

02:01:50.000 That's great.

02:01:50.000 We're happy to see that happen.

02:01:52.000 We'll take it.

02:01:53.000 Let's hope that something happens in a positive way with that information, that people don't just become cynical and passive.

02:02:00.000 But I wanted to get comments on Bankers.

02:02:03.000 Minnesota Polar Bear has been holding on for quite a while.

02:02:05.000 What's your comment?

02:02:08.000 How are you doing today, David Knight?

02:02:08.000 Yes, sir.

02:02:09.000 Doing good.

02:02:09.000 All right.

02:02:11.000 You're doing a fine job being the First Amendment Gunnery Sergeant Major General.

02:02:16.000 Thank you.

02:02:17.000 Okay.

02:02:17.000 Do you mind if I notch an arrow and send it across the ball?

02:02:23.000 Sure, go ahead.

02:02:24.000 What do you want to say about banks?

02:02:25.000 I think you want to talk about banks, right?

02:02:27.000 Yes, sir, I do.

02:02:30.000 There's going to be a huge Chapter 11 bankruptcy hearing in New York.

02:02:36.000 Um, do you mind if I mention something that would make a fine guest that would be able to explain it for every American citizen to understand the magnitude of this?

02:02:45.000 Sure, go ahead.

02:02:46.000 We all can get together.

02:02:47.000 His name is John Morris.

02:02:49.000 His website, if you don't mind me giving it out, is SaveOurFamilySaveOurHome.com.

02:02:56.000 This right here bankruptcy that will be heard will be the largest one on the planet.

02:03:03.000 Who's going bankrupt in this bankruptcy hearing?

02:03:08.000 This right here, John Morris, you can go back on the Hagman and Hagman report and go back through two Fridays and a Tuesday of him explaining it.

02:03:19.000 He's handing out life preservers so where we can all, everybody, we can all get together and do this to take our country back.

02:03:28.000 Once every third, um, chapter 11 goes through, why do you think that you're training for the takeover of towns?

02:03:36.000 Because once every third court goes or their chapter 11 goes through, this puts out a tango event all across the United States, taking away.

02:03:47.000 Oh, without a doubt.

02:03:54.000 That's what they're, without a doubt, that's what they're training for.

02:03:56.000 They're looking for an economic collapse, one that I believe that they're engineering.

02:04:00.000 But that is fundamentally what is at the bottom of this, is that they want to own everything.

02:04:06.000 They want this kind of feudalistic society where there's no middle class, where everything is owned by the banks.

02:04:10.000 We've seen this happening for a long time.

02:04:13.000 The International Monetary Fund under Robert McNamara, everybody can criticize them for what they called rent-seeking.

02:04:20.000 They would go into third world countries, they would extend massive amounts of loans to them, not even for things like infrastructure, but just things for like social welfare programs, things that were essentially consumer items.

02:04:34.000 They weren't building any kind of income production.

02:04:37.000 And so they gave them these loans, they gave them massive interest rates and massive amounts of loans, bankrupted those countries and then went in and seized assets.

02:04:47.000 That has been their game plan.

02:04:49.000 It's always been their game plan.

02:04:51.000 That's essentially the way they created the Federal Reserve.

02:04:53.000 I believe that's exactly what they're doing and they are training our soldiers, they're training our police for martial law.

02:05:00.000 We've seen it any number of ways.

02:05:02.000 And that's what they're going to do.

02:05:03.000 They're going to take title of this stuff, and they're going to do it by force if necessary.

02:05:07.000 We'll be right back, taking your calls.

02:05:09.000 A chemical spill contaminating the water supply in nine West Virginia counties.

02:05:13.000 This year alone, over 300,000 people in West Virginia had their drinking water contaminated.

02:05:17.000 What are the health effects of having these drugs in our drinking water?

02:05:21.000 It's forced medical treatment without the consent of residents.

02:05:24.000 My friends, water filtration is one of the most basic actions you can take to protect you and your family from the harmful toxins and heavy metals in your tap water.

02:05:31.000 On average, the county says it sprays with the glyphosate at least once a week.

02:05:35.000 Few filters cut out the glyphosate that is found in water supplies worldwide.

02:05:40.000 Remove pesticides, herbicides, chloramines, hydrofluorosilicic acid, sodium hexafluorosilicate.

02:05:46.000 Fluoride is in tea, it's in coffee, it's in water, it's in bread, it's in toothpaste.

02:05:50.000 It is our responsibility to protect our families.

02:05:52.000 The establishment's not going to do it.

02:05:54.000 It's time to take action.

02:11:31.000 You pathetic little worm! 0.99

02:11:33.000 How dare you call me Mr. Cobra! 0.99

02:11:39.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show, I'm David Knight and that's the appropriate clip to run today when we see what Obama's doing with Bergdahl and the Taliban.

02:11:50.000 It's not just there, you know, with that we have people like Jonathan Turley saying that Obama is the president that Richard Nixon always wished he could be.

02:11:57.000 We've got George Will on the right saying that, recalling that Nixon said when the president does it, that means that it's not illegal.

02:12:07.000 Sound exactly like Obama?

02:12:09.000 Now, there's also many other places where he does what he wishes, where he changes Obamacare, or where he shuts down coal plants.

02:12:18.000 He said when he was running for election the first time, he said, yeah, you know, you can open a coal plant, but it's going to bankrupt you.

02:12:26.000 Why?

02:12:26.000 Because he's going to, by fiat, shut down our energy sources.

02:12:31.000 This is a story from the New American.

02:12:33.000 Obama's EPA coal plant regulations are, quote, Obamacare for the atmosphere.

02:12:38.000 Now, that's not the New American saying that.

02:12:40.000 That's actually somebody who's an Obama supporter.

02:12:43.000 See, they cheer him on in these dictatorial pronouncements that he has.

02:12:49.000 This is a quote from Jason Marks, the Daily Beast.

02:12:53.000 He said, you can think of the power plant rules as Obamacare for the atmosphere.

02:12:59.000 Numbingly complex in an effort to ensure flexibility and fairness based on a market system likely to transform a key sector of the economy for decades to come.

02:13:10.000 I mean, does that sound like an endorsement?

02:13:12.000 I mean, this guy likes it.

02:13:14.000 He says it's numbingly complex.

02:13:17.000 Of course, it's going to be flexible and fair.

02:13:18.000 I don't really know how it's fair to increase our power bills by 100% or 200%.

02:13:25.000 I don't know how flexible they are on these rules.

02:13:29.000 I think they're pretty inflexible.

02:13:30.000 Based on a market system?

02:13:32.000 There's no market system here.

02:13:34.000 And likely to transform a key sector of the economy for decades to come.

02:13:37.000 Yeah, I would say that's true.

02:13:39.000 You know, I want to go back and look at one of the earliest nightly news reports that we had from Alex Jones.

02:13:45.000 This goes back to August of 2011.

02:13:49.000 And he was talking about Obama's energy policies then.

02:13:52.000 Let's see how much has changed.

02:13:54.000 Obama hit struggling Americans with energy rate hikes, following Barack Obama's vow to bankrupt the coal power industry.

02:14:02.000 Americans are set to be hit with a wave of utility bill hikes, as draconian EPA regulations drive up the cost of energy.

02:14:12.000 So, if somebody wants to build a coal power plant, they can.

02:14:15.000 It's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted.

02:14:23.000 The Obama administration's crusade against coal-fired power plants, which was launched on the back of discredited junk science about hyped global warming threats, has little to do with improving the environment and everything to do with lowering living standards by creating artificial scarcity.

02:14:42.000 The EPA has now listed as harmful carbon dioxide that is part of the life cycle of the planet.

02:14:50.000 New EPA rules dictate that utility companies will be forced to spend an initial outlay of $800 million to conform with regulations that mandate harmful emissions be reduced under the Clean Air Act.

02:15:05.000 And yet power plants supplied by General Electric, one of Barack Obama's biggest campaign contributors, have received an EPA waiver and will not be subject to the new regulations.

02:15:17.000 The new rules will exacerbate the problem of rolling blackouts, warns Donna Nelson, head of the Texas Public Utility Commission.

02:15:26.000 Nelson said, quote, I have no doubt in my mind that this rule will result in reliability issues and rolling outages in Texas.

02:15:35.000 Obama's strict enforcement of draconian EPA regulations has led to new clean burning coal fired plants being mothballed and other existing ones being shut down, which has in turn led to Texas and other states becoming energy dependent.

02:15:50.000 All of this, of course, will lead to significantly higher utility bills for U.S.

02:15:55.000 citizens, who are being assaulted with more and more expenses, even as the threat of a double-dip recession lowers living standards.

02:16:06.000 That's a report from three years ago.

02:16:06.000 There you go.

02:16:08.000 Now, not much has changed, has it?

02:16:10.000 We still see Obama's war on coal-fired plants.

02:16:14.000 We also see that, just as he did, it's an apt analogy, isn't it, when the Daily Beast says it's Obamacare for the atmosphere, because just as Alex Jones reported three years ago, he was giving his corporate buddies, his crony capitalist friends, waivers from these regulations.

02:16:31.000 Just as he gave people that he wanted the corporations that he liked, he gave them waivers from Obamacare.

02:16:38.000 Arbitrarily moving the deadlines around to make sure that the voters didn't make the connections before the elections but after the elections.

02:16:46.000 Now in this story from The New American written by William Jasper, they point out again, let me read this quote one more time to you.

02:16:54.000 This is from the Daily Beast, they said it's Obamacare for the atmosphere.

02:16:58.000 Numbingly complex, but still flexible and fair, based on a market system, and likely to transform a key sector of the economy for decades to come.

02:17:07.000 You know what?

02:17:07.000 Exactly.

02:17:08.000 There is nothing that affects not only your prosperity, but your standard of living, and even the length of your life, than cheap, available energy.

02:17:18.000 Now, as he points out in this article in the New American, he says, is it based on a market system?

02:17:22.000 This is what he says, perhaps a fascist corporate state market system in which politically connected companies reap huge cap and trade profits, certainly not a free market system.

02:17:33.000 For the longest time, The globalists have been looking to replace their central banking, fiat currency schemes, their national debt schemes.

02:17:42.000 They've been looking to replace that with some kind of an energy scheme.

02:17:46.000 Some way where we have to pay them, not for the privilege of having money in circulation, you know, we pay debt to our privately owned Federal Reserve System.

02:17:55.000 Which cannot even be audited by our own elected representatives.

02:18:00.000 They're immune from even having the books open.

02:18:03.000 We've been paying them for the privilege of printing money.

02:18:05.000 Now we're going to pay another private cartel, global cartel, we're going to now pay them an indulgence to be able to use energy.

02:18:16.000 They call it a global carbon tax.

02:18:18.000 You know, even the people who believe that we have global warming, I'm a skeptic of that.

02:18:24.000 We see that the data does not prove that.

02:18:26.000 We see that their models say that as CO2 was to rise, that we would have a commensurate rise in global temperatures.

02:18:34.000 That hasn't happened.

02:18:35.000 We've seen the CO2 rise.

02:18:37.000 We've seen that the temperatures have not risen.

02:18:40.000 And so their model is broken.

02:18:42.000 But even those people, many environmentalists who believe that there is man-made global warming and that it is due to carbon dioxide, even those people don't see as any kind of a solution sending all of your money to Al Gore anytime you use a little bit of energy.

02:18:59.000 That's not a solution.

02:19:01.000 That's feudalism.

02:19:02.000 It's not environmentalism.

02:19:04.000 It's feudalism on steroids.

02:19:06.000 It's worse than the central banks.

02:19:08.000 You know, they're trying to support this.

02:19:10.000 Even the EPA has become... well, even the EPA.

02:19:13.000 Of course the EPA.

02:19:14.000 The EPA has become the biggest cheerleader for this.

02:19:16.000 It says, learn about carbon pollution from power plants.

02:19:19.000 They have a page on their website where they're talking about rising global temperatures.

02:19:23.000 Isn't happening.

02:19:24.000 Rising sea level.

02:19:25.000 Isn't happening.

02:19:26.000 Changes in weather and precipitation patterns.

02:19:29.000 That isn't really happening either.

02:19:31.000 Changes in ecosystems, habitats and species diversity.

02:19:34.000 Look, Weather is always in a state of flux.

02:19:37.000 It is always changing.

02:19:38.000 But if you look at the long-term trends, it doesn't support their data.

02:19:43.000 Even Canada is cracking down and telling the weathermen not to talk about climate change.

02:19:48.000 We saw this at the American Meteorological Association in Austin last year.

02:19:53.000 We saw the weathermen were actually doing real science.

02:19:55.000 They had real models.

02:19:56.000 They were trying to predict things a couple of days in advance.

02:19:59.000 But the climate scientists Predicting things out decades away.

02:20:03.000 Centuries away.

02:20:05.000 Their models can't be tested. 0.91

02:20:06.000 They're baloney.

02:20:07.000 We're going to be right back, taking your call.

02:24:18.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

02:24:25.000 I'm David Knight.

02:24:26.000 I'm just looking at the Drudge Report, and he's got an article up here.

02:24:29.000 A poll says that Obama is less competent than Bush.

02:24:33.000 That's what the American people think.

02:24:34.000 Boy, that's getting down there, isn't it?

02:24:37.000 That's getting really low.

02:24:39.000 Where is that on the Jimmy Carter scale?

02:24:40.000 I don't know, but it's getting really bad.

02:24:43.000 We've been taking your calls on the one-year anniversary of the Snowden documents.

02:24:47.000 What do you think that means?

02:24:48.000 Is he a traitor or is he a hero?

02:24:51.000 And how are we going to rein our government in to obey the law?

02:24:56.000 Because in my opinion, I think what he did was he exposed, like many whistleblowers frequently take a rap for, he exposed criminal actions by our government.

02:25:08.000 He didn't give away any secrets that other spy agencies didn't already know about, that terrorists didn't know about.

02:25:14.000 What he did was he showed the American people that they are the targets of their own government.

02:25:21.000 He's exposed a secret shadow government that is operating outside of the law, unaccountable to the law.

02:25:29.000 And we see that being done openly by Obama.

02:25:32.000 Let's take some of your comments.

02:25:33.000 Michael in Oregon.

02:25:35.000 Michael?

02:25:36.000 Hey David, I have two things to say.

02:25:39.000 One, I think you are a great host.

02:25:41.000 I mean, Alex is Alex and you are you and you do a great job and I think you do awesome.

02:25:46.000 So I wanted to say that.

02:25:47.000 Secondly, I just wanted to give you guys a follow up.

02:25:48.000 Last week I did call Greg Walden and Ron Wyden.

02:25:51.000 My two Senators in Oregon told them, you know, I was complaining about Bilderberg and the Logan Act and, you know, you guys have a duty to do something about it, and their flunky people just said, well, I'll pass on the message.

02:26:04.000 Ed Blumenauer, at his office, actually told me this, and I'm quoting, the government can do whatever we want to do, close quote, and then hung up on me.

02:26:14.000 And I really, he's a representative, and I find that very disconcerting.

02:26:18.000 And I just wanted you to know, you know, it's crazy that they don't care what we say.

02:26:22.000 Well, there you go.

02:26:23.000 And give everybody in Washington his name again.

02:26:26.000 There's Ed Blumenauer.

02:26:30.000 He's a representative that just does not care.

02:26:32.000 And then there is Greg Waldman and Ron Wyden, and they just don't care.

02:26:38.000 I don't seem to care.

02:26:39.000 It's always, I'll pass on the message.

02:26:41.000 It's like, well I don't want you to pass on the message.

02:26:43.000 I want a response.

02:26:45.000 That's right.

02:26:45.000 They don't care.

02:26:46.000 Yeah, they won't respond to you.

02:26:46.000 That's right.

02:26:47.000 But it is still important to call them up about that response that we're the government and we'll do whatever we want to.

02:26:53.000 Isn't that the message that we've gotten?

02:26:56.000 Over the Snowden leaks?

02:26:59.000 Absolutely unrepentant about any of their criminal actions being exposed.

02:27:04.000 Like I mentioned before, when we were abroad, when we were in Copenhagen reporting on Bilderberg, seeing this story out of the UK that some whistleblower had reported this atrocious treatment of children and seniors, and yet the response was not to do anything, not to correct that, but to fire that guy.

02:27:24.000 I mean, that's what we expect from them, actually.

02:27:26.000 You know, again, it's that quote that Richard Nixon said.

02:27:29.000 When the President does it, that means it isn't illegal.

02:27:33.000 And that's what they're saying.

02:27:33.000 We're the government.

02:27:34.000 We can do whatever we wish.

02:27:36.000 That's very sad.

02:27:37.000 Thank you for letting us know that.

02:27:39.000 Let's go to Steven in Arizona.

02:27:41.000 You wanted to talk about the NSA?

02:27:45.000 Oh, I'm sorry.

02:27:46.000 Okay, he's no longer with us.

02:27:47.000 How about Darcy in Canada?

02:27:49.000 Darcy?

02:27:51.000 Hello, David.

02:27:52.000 Yes.

02:27:52.000 Can you hear me?

02:27:53.000 Yes, I sure can.

02:27:54.000 Hi, David.

02:27:55.000 I wanted to talk quickly about, well, with regard to the Snowden leaks, if they are or were orchestrated through government channels, the chilling effect is real, because I tell you, even getting the nerve to call in the InfoWars, I've been a listener for about six years, and I've wanted to call in.

02:28:16.000 It's difficult to get up that nerve, and it's through knowing and reading these NSA documents that were leaked by Snowden.

02:28:24.000 That, you know, it actually accentuates that that nervousness, that chilling effect.

02:28:30.000 So on that note, I've got a couple of things that I want to mention.

02:28:34.000 I thought were important ways that we can keep our communications lines open.

02:28:40.000 And it involves something called PSK 31.

02:28:43.000 And what it is, is a digital mode over shortwave radio.

02:28:48.000 And you can actually send out reports that operate much like a chat room.

02:28:54.000 You can dial into a small area of bandwidth between 2 and 30 megahertz on the shortwave band.

02:29:01.000 And it really, really is an effective way to keep your communications up.

02:29:06.000 The other, you know, is to look at, you know, things such as Debian Linux.

02:29:14.000 You're able to encrypt a hard drive with 250-bit, 256-bit encryption, which allows you to, you know, it doesn't mean that your data is going to be protected.

02:29:29.000 Um...

02:29:30.000 But, you know, in my case, I'm running a dual-booted Linux and Windows.

02:29:35.000 Hang on, we've got to go to a break, but I want to get some more information from you for the audience about PSK-31.

02:29:40.000 You said it's a digital mode over shortwave.

02:29:43.000 I want to get that unpacked a little bit for the audience because that's...

02:29:46.000 What some of the people today are doing, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Snowden documents, they're saying, reset the net.

02:29:51.000 We need to take some individual action for our own privacy as we act collectively.

02:29:56.000 Stay tuned, we'll be right back.

02:29:58.000 We're on the march.

02:29:59.000 The Empire's on the run.

02:30:01.000 Alex Jones and the GCN Radio Network.

02:30:09.000 General, what do you think about the FBI saying that there is a terror alert on Monday about a potential Fort Hood situation?

02:30:15.000 The police are shoving people, shoving Alex, shoving the crowd.

02:30:18.000 Here we go, folks, I'm being a sergeant!

02:30:20.000 Whether it's the radio show, the news websites, documentary films, or the nightly news, InfoWars is the tip of the spear.

02:30:26.000 Is this another false flag stage attack to take our civil liberties and put more homeless in security by sticking their hands down on the streets?

02:30:32.000 It's up to us to set brush fires in the minds of men and women everywhere. 0.64

02:32:17.000 What are the health effects of having these drugs in our drinking water?

02:32:20.000 It's forced medical treatment without the consent of residents.

02:32:23.000 My friends, water filtration is one of the most basic actions you can take to protect you and your family from the harmful toxins and heavy metals in your tap water.

02:32:31.000 On average, the county says it sprays with glyphosate at least once a week.

02:32:35.000 Few filters cut out the glyphosate that is found in water supplies worldwide.

02:32:39.000 Remove pesticides, herbicides, chloramines, hydrofluorosilicic acid, sodium hexafluorosilicate.

02:33:10.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

02:33:36.000 I'm David Knight here as your host and I just had John Bowne come in and give me a message from Leanne McAdoo.

02:33:42.000 She told me that actually Snowden did give information to the enemy.

02:33:47.000 The enemy, of course, from the government's perspective, is the American people. 0.91

02:33:50.000 So I stand corrected.

02:33:51.000 I think that's absolutely true.

02:33:54.000 Now I've got on the phone, and hang on for just a little bit longer if you will, Darcy from Canada.

02:33:54.000 Perfect.

02:33:59.000 He was giving us Some information about things that people could do, things that you can do to maintain your privacy.

02:34:07.000 And I think we all need to do that as a way to just resist this illegal tyranny that's being put on us that we've been made aware of with the Ed Snowden leaks.

02:34:17.000 It's essentially become widespread knowledge now.

02:34:20.000 We were telling you about it for a very long time.

02:34:24.000 Telling you that they're spying on you, that they're watching you through your monitors, that they're recording everything that you're saying, that they're... and David Petraeus told us well before the leaks that they were going to use your appliances, the... what they call the Internet of Things.

02:34:39.000 They were going to use that to spy on you.

02:34:41.000 You know, you think you've got automated house controls.

02:34:43.000 Well, that's one level.

02:34:45.000 That's the most obvious level.

02:34:46.000 That's what you're using it for.

02:34:48.000 They're using it for something completely different.

02:34:51.000 Just like they use your iPhone.

02:34:52.000 Just like they laugh at the American public that we queue up in lines in order to buy our 1984 devices.

02:35:01.000 They laughed about that in slides that were part of the Snowden leak.

02:35:05.000 So it's a lot of very valuable information.

02:35:07.000 What are we going to do with it?

02:35:09.000 We can't get the NSA to stop doing it.

02:35:12.000 We can't get our senators to do anything about it. 0.91

02:35:15.000 But there are some Steps that we can take individually, and I want to talk to Darcy from Canada about PSK 31.

02:35:23.000 Before we do, I want to do a little bit of housekeeping here.

02:35:28.000 This half hour of the Alex Jones Show is brought to you by Super Female Vitality. 1.00

02:35:34.000 If you've tried Super Male Vitality, you've heard what it does for men.

02:35:38.000 Super Female Vitality brings these benefits to women to an even greater degree. 1.00

02:35:43.000 You know, women are under attack by artificial estrogen chemicals even more so than men.

02:35:48.000 And this hormone imbalance leads to weight gain as well as depression.

02:35:52.000 So, it's a great product that you can use.

02:35:54.000 Try that.

02:35:55.000 It helps to support our operation as well as Survival Shield X2.

02:35:58.000 We're going to have a very special report tomorrow.

02:36:01.000 We're going to show you these crystals, these iodine crystals that are harvested at more than 7,000 feet below the earth.

02:36:08.000 Below the Fukushima ground effects, we test them for radiation.

02:36:12.000 We're going to show you those crystals as well as the factory.

02:36:16.000 There's going to be a tour of that tomorrow.

02:36:18.000 Some of the information we're going to have on the show tomorrow.

02:36:20.000 That's going to be fascinating.

02:36:20.000 Don't miss it.

02:36:21.000 But Survival Shield X2, available now at InfoWarsStore.com.

02:36:26.000 It's a way that you can support our operation here.

02:36:29.000 We're not funded by the government.

02:36:31.000 We're funded by offering you products that help you as well as help us.

02:36:36.000 It's a win-win situation.

02:36:38.000 Now I want to go back to Darcy in Canada.

02:36:40.000 Darcy, you were telling us about PSK-31.

02:36:43.000 You said it was a digital mode operating over shortwave.

02:36:47.000 Explain that to us a little bit.

02:36:48.000 Do you need special hardware?

02:36:50.000 Or is it besides your shortwave radio?

02:36:54.000 If you're operating with... there's a few portable shortwave radio models that That worked quite well with that, like ICOM has one, Yasu I think is another manufacturer, but there's a Rig Blaster device, it's a small $100 unit that interfaces through USB to your sound card between the radio and it'll actually do the phase shift keying for your handset.

02:37:22.000 It'll allow you to operate in the digital mode.

02:37:25.000 Basically you type in what you want to send out and it does all the translation, almost like a teletype in a way.

02:37:34.000 Beyond PSK-31, there's other modes like Q15X25, and you can do a quick search on these on Wikipedia.

02:37:42.000 Right, yeah, we don't want to get too technical on it because people are listening on the radio.

02:37:45.000 But it's important for people to know that there are ways that they can get on the internet that circumvent these pipes.

02:37:51.000 And that's something, thank you Darcy and Canada, that's something that's very important because We're seeing an all-out threat against the Internet.

02:37:59.000 This month's Infowars Magazine talks about the death of the Internet.

02:38:03.000 Take a picture of this guy, this magazine here.

02:38:06.000 Death of the Internet.

02:38:07.000 And that's our magazine this month.

02:38:10.000 Alex created the magazine as another way, an alternative way to get information out there in case they do shut the Internet down.

02:38:16.000 And of course, We've been talking all week about free speech.

02:38:20.000 We've been talking about how governments can effectively shut down any discussion of things like Bilderberg, pretend that it doesn't exist, just as the Chinese government pretended that the Tiananmen Square massacre didn't exist.

02:38:33.000 Now, 25 years later, you've got a generation of people that have never even heard of it.

02:38:37.000 When they were shown a picture of the famous tank man, They said, is that a parade?

02:38:43.000 Is that your artwork?

02:38:46.000 They had no idea what that was about.

02:38:46.000 What is that?

02:38:49.000 So governments and government-controlled press, and make no mistake about it, we have that here in this country, can very effectively shut down information to the public just by pretending that it doesn't exist.

02:39:00.000 Just by ridiculing as a conspiracy theory any information that people might get out about something that they're not reporting on for years, for decades.

02:39:09.000 We had television dominated by only three stations, three networks, major networks.

02:39:15.000 And they were essentially on the same page, so if these guys didn't talk about it, and you heard some information from somebody else, clearly that wasn't true, because they were all reading off of the same script.

02:39:26.000 It was only when the Fairness Doctrine, which had been imposed by the FCC, it was only when the Fairness Doctrine was taken away in the Reagan administration, That we had the rise of talk radio, and people heard a different voice.

02:39:42.000 They heard an independent voice.

02:39:44.000 Then after that, we had the rise of the Internet, and they got even more of that.

02:39:49.000 Now they're trying to shut that down.

02:39:51.000 They're not only talking about shutting down the Fairness Doctrine, But they're also working in many different ways to shut down the Internet.

02:40:00.000 That's what this magazine is about, the death of the Internet.

02:40:02.000 The many ways that they can do that.

02:40:04.000 And the reason I had Darcy from Canada talk about the way that you can get digital signals over a shortwave radio, and you can Google that yourself and see how to do that.

02:40:14.000 The reason I had him talk about that a little bit more in detail is because what we can see, what may happen with the FCC now is with the net neutrality regulations, once they allow certain megacorporations to have much, much faster internet than other people, That's going to be tantamount to shutting down, effectively shutting down, these alternative media outlets.

02:40:39.000 It's going to make it difficult for us to compete.

02:40:40.000 It's going to make it impossible for many of you out there who are independent Paul Reviewers, independent bloggers.

02:40:47.000 It's going to make it difficult, if not impossible, for you to get your information out there, because people are going to get accustomed to high-speed internet.

02:40:55.000 Who can stand going back to, say, dial-up speed if you're accustomed to broadband?

02:41:01.000 You are not going to want to browse those sites that are incredibly slow.

02:41:06.000 They're going to look like they're frozen.

02:41:07.000 They're going to look like they're not working.

02:41:09.000 This is being driven by Comcast and Verizon and the people who are Running the infrastructure of the Internet.

02:41:17.000 They're the ones controlling the pipes.

02:41:19.000 They want this.

02:41:20.000 The people don't want it.

02:41:21.000 And in most cases, the Internet provider, the content providers, people like Google and others, even oppose this.

02:41:28.000 There was an interesting thing that happened yesterday.

02:41:31.000 There was a comedian, John Oliver, He went on a net neutrality rant.

02:41:37.000 He had about a 13 minute skit talking about net neutrality.

02:41:41.000 And he said, the most dangerous thing is that the government can do the worst things to us and get away with it because they make it boring and they make it technical.

02:41:52.000 And so what he did was he worked against that.

02:41:54.000 Let's play a little bit of a clip of that.

02:41:55.000 We can't play too much of it because it's like 13 minutes long, but let's play a little bit of that right now to give people a sample of that.

02:42:00.000 is so egregious, activists and corporations have been forced onto the same side.

02:42:06.000 That's basically Lex Luthor knocking on Superman's apartment door and going, listen, I know we have our differences, but we have got to get rid of that arsehole in apartment 3B.

02:42:18.000 Exactly, and we have our disagreements.

02:42:20.000 I have disagreements with John Oliver on many issues, but we need to all come together and we need to push back against the police state.

02:42:31.000 We need to push back against the loss of free speech.

02:42:35.000 And they can take our free speech any number of ways.

02:42:37.000 We've seen with SOPA, CISPA, ACTA, PIPA, we had to defeat CISPA twice.

02:42:43.000 And now it's coming at us through these trade partnerships, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Trans-Atlantic Partnership.

02:42:51.000 They're trying to bring these same control techniques in through the back door.

02:42:55.000 So, yes, we have very important differences on certain things, but just like Superman and Lex Luthor, we need to come together.

02:43:03.000 And we need to stop the police state.

02:43:05.000 We need to stop Big Brother, the surveillance state.

02:43:08.000 We need to work together on this, and we need to... To me, that's one of the most important things about the Snowden leaks.

02:43:16.000 And I think it's a real litmus test to see who the real people are, the people that are controlled, the people who want to control everything about our society, the people who are really the authoritarians in society, the people who want A militarized police and use the police in a militarized way to use the military as police.

02:43:38.000 We need to root out the people who are going to take away our court systems, who are going to impose this kind of surveillance on us at the same time that they censor our free speech.

02:43:49.000 Let's go to some of your calls and comments.

02:43:52.000 Cindy in FEMA Region 3, you had something you wanted to say about the Bergdahl incident.

02:43:57.000 Cindy?

02:43:58.000 Yeah, hi David.

02:43:59.000 You're a good man.

02:44:03.000 To back up one second, the man who called in from Oregon, he was saying about his representative, we have the same thing over here.

02:44:09.000 Senator Pat Toomey, he was a Tea Party candidate, and when he got in there, he turned coats so fast.

02:44:16.000 I emailed his office, called his office, and said they needed to get rid of the Patriot Act, and he was like, oh no, we have to have the Patriot Act.

02:44:26.000 You know, and this is Timmy.

02:44:28.000 It just blew me away.

02:44:30.000 I just want to recall all of them.

02:44:33.000 Yes.

02:44:36.000 And let me interject there too.

02:44:38.000 That's what I was just saying is that, you know, there are some real differences between Pat Toomey and some of the Democrats.

02:44:44.000 But when we get to the point where we're going to allow the government unrestrained police powers, we're going to lose our basic freedoms, we're going to lose our due process, where they're going to be able to do anything to us, violate any law with immunity, where everything is secret, there is no transparency.

02:45:00.000 That's where the left and the right need to come together, just like he's talking about, joking about Superman and Lex Luthor coming together.

02:45:06.000 We need to make some common cause on these basic things, shut that down, and then we can talk about some other very important issues.

02:45:13.000 But if we don't have the freedom of speech, if we don't have privacy, if we live under a police state, then we're not going to have any of these other freedoms either.

02:45:25.000 Sorry, go ahead.

02:45:28.000 Oh, that's okay.

02:45:29.000 They know that, too.

02:45:30.000 It's just playing one hand against the other, Democrat against Republican.

02:45:34.000 Whenever I see Democrats and Republicans, it's all the same.

02:45:37.000 I think it's time for a third party, really, because they're all the same.

02:45:41.000 On those core issues, they are the same.

02:45:44.000 Did you have a comment about Bergdahl?

02:45:46.000 Yeah, I don't trust that guy.

02:45:48.000 And what Obama did when he said, we don't leave any of our young men behind, who's he kidding?

02:45:54.000 What about this Marine in Mexico?

02:45:56.000 I find him more important.

02:45:58.000 Why don't we threaten Mexico instead of giving up five terrorists? 0.88

02:46:02.000 Why don't we say, well, we're going to give you 30,000 of your felons back, rapists, murderers, whatever. 0.98

02:46:07.000 We'll send them back to Mexico. 1.00

02:46:09.000 We want our Marine, our real soldier. 0.65

02:46:12.000 Yeah, it's amazing what's happened here, and as previous callers pointed out, it's a real striking contrast to see the way they have talked about Snowden and the way they've talked about Bergdahl.

02:46:23.000 I think it's pretty telling.

02:46:24.000 Thank you so much, Cindy.

02:46:25.000 Let's go to Jason in FEMA Region 10.

02:46:29.000 You wanted to talk about Snowden documents.

02:46:30.000 Go ahead.

02:46:32.000 Good afternoon, David.

02:46:33.000 Hey.

02:46:35.000 Hey, I don't think Edward Snowden is a traitor.

02:46:40.000 But I don't necessarily think he's a hero either.

02:46:42.000 I feel that he should have stayed around in the US of A. If you wanted to really, if you really wanted to stand his ground and make a message here, you know, and be a martyr for a greater cause.

02:46:56.000 I just think he was kind of a coward for running away.

02:47:00.000 Well, you know, we can all second-guess what he did. 0.61

02:47:02.000 I mean, I've even, you know, who knows?

02:47:06.000 I'm grateful that the information has come out, even if it was, as some people have even criticized him as deliberately putting that out, as being a shill.

02:47:14.000 But I'm glad that it's out there.

02:47:17.000 I think people needed to see that.

02:47:19.000 It has woken people up in a way that, frankly, they were not aware of before.

02:47:24.000 If they ever even heard that, because the mainstream media was not talking about what the NSA was doing, if they even heard the stories about the whistleblowers from the NSA, like William Binney, They would dismiss it as not important, or they wouldn't really pay any attention to it.

02:47:40.000 So, for whatever reason, these documents have basically put it front and center on people.

02:47:45.000 And now the question is, what are we, as the American people, going to do about it?

02:47:48.000 I think that's really the question.

02:47:49.000 What do you think we should do about it?

02:47:52.000 Absolutely.

02:47:52.000 I feel that we should have more whistleblowers come out and, you know, expose what's going on in this country.

02:47:58.000 Because there's a lot of shadow business happening, and it's really up to us as people to come together.

02:48:06.000 You never know what these people are capable of doing and so you know even though he didn't stay in America and do it, that doesn't mean that he wasn't aware that there was a great deal of risk to him.

02:48:20.000 I mean look at their reach is pretty strong.

02:48:22.000 Look at they got Julian Assange.

02:48:23.000 He's holed up in an embassy in London.

02:48:28.000 And so, you know, that's always a risky thing.

02:48:32.000 I'm glad that he exposed it, and I just hope that we can do something with it.

02:48:36.000 Let's go to Jake in Idaho.

02:48:37.000 Jake?

02:48:40.000 Hey there, can you hear me?

02:48:41.000 Yes, go ahead.

02:48:43.000 I just wanted to add on to what that gentleman was saying about the Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

02:48:50.000 You had asked what it was, and I feel like this issue is an issue that

02:48:58.000 If their finding is going to affect, you know, 90% of finance properties, and speaking of convoluted and all that that you were talking about, what it does is, your mortgage has been sold off many, many times through companies that are hydras of the federal government, Frannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

02:49:26.000 And when you think you've made your last payment and you actually hold your title, your mortgage title is, the chain of custody has been broken along the way and it will revert back to the, back to those government agencies that, you know, they will, in essence, own your land.

02:49:50.000 Well they've created a real mess, that's for sure.

02:49:52.000 The way that I've heard it explained is that You know, when they started securitizing these loans, what they essentially did was kind of like putting all the mortgages into the mortgage documents into a blender and chopping them up and then pouring a little bit of it out over here and a little bit of it out over there, essentially destroying them and losing, as you point out, a chain of custody.

02:50:15.000 Now, we had a guest on here at InfoWars.

02:50:18.000 He's gone out as a consultant to a lot of county governments because, frankly, the county governments get a lot of their revenue to support them from recording the mortgage deeds.

02:50:29.000 And always in the past, what would happen is as a mortgage was sold, it would be recorded locally.

02:50:35.000 They would pay the taxes for that.

02:50:37.000 There would be a very clearly documented chain of who owns what.

02:50:42.000 That's been taken away.

02:50:44.000 They've lost that revenue.

02:50:45.000 Some of them are very angry about that and trying to stop that.

02:50:49.000 So, it's a real mess.

02:50:51.000 Beyond that, we have derivatives that are tens of trillions of dollars that are out there that these bankers want to put sovereign governments on the hook to guarantee for them so they can then come back and claim that the governments have to bail them out.

02:51:05.000 The pump-and-dump game.

02:51:05.000 That's the game.

02:51:07.000 We're gonna be right back with your call.

02:51:08.000 Stay tuned.

02:53:14.000 I get it.

02:53:15.000 You wouldn't buy gold if you believed that the government is doing a great job, that the Fed will stop handing out trillions of dollars like bailout candy, that Social Security would be there for you.

02:53:25.000 That's not what's happening.

02:53:26.000 You might even pass on gold if the stimulus package wouldn't fuel inflation, or that the dollar wouldn't lose value, or that your retirement would be secure.

02:53:34.000 If all looks rosy to you, then now is not the time to buy gold.

02:53:38.000 For the realists, there have never been more sobering reasons to diversify with gold.

02:53:42.000 Since 2001, the U.S.

02:54:14.000 Like an angel.

02:54:16.000 Walk like an angel.

02:54:22.000 Welcome back to the Alex Jones Show.

02:54:25.000 I'm David Knight, taking your calls in this final segment.

02:54:28.000 We were talking earlier in the program about David Letterman having CNN's Anderson Cooper on.

02:54:33.000 David Letterman was demanding gun control, attacking the Second Amendment.

02:54:39.000 Kit Daniels just put an article up summarizing that.

02:54:41.000 He has a great quote in here.

02:54:42.000 He says, uh, compare the panel at last year's South by Southwest.

02:54:47.000 He says, compare that to a grassroots open carry rally that also occurred during South by Southwest.

02:54:53.000 Had over 100 gun owners on a weekday.

02:54:55.000 And he pointed out that the panel that was set up by Bloomberg Didn't attract more than just a handful of people.

02:55:03.000 Probably less than, I would say, less than a dozen from the pictures that I saw.

02:55:07.000 You know, kind of like David Letterman's audience, is what I would say.

02:55:10.000 A very, very small number of people.

02:55:13.000 There's really not a constituency out there for blaming Reasonable people for the irrational acts of one individual.

02:55:22.000 And as we've learned this week, Elliot Rogers, the guy who went around killing women, posting his suicide note and attacking them, of course, you know, he stabbed people as well as shooting them.

02:55:34.000 They're not calling for knife control.

02:55:36.000 But the real thing that needs to be controlled are these pharmaceutical drugs that are widely prescribed for people, but of course nothing is being said about that because they sponsor programs like the David Letterman program.

02:55:48.000 They are the major sponsors of most of the networks.

02:55:52.000 Bob in Texas said that he wanted to make a comment about the NSA and the Second Amendment.

02:55:56.000 Bob?

02:55:57.000 How are you today?

02:55:57.000 Yes, David.

02:55:58.000 Doing good.

02:55:59.000 Great.

02:56:00.000 Listen, Alex was talking about the Second Amendment the other day and all the gun control they're trying to get into place.

02:56:07.000 David, I'm someone that doesn't own a gun.

02:56:10.000 I've never owned a gun all my life.

02:56:12.000 See no real reason to go and own one.

02:56:14.000 But I always want to know that if I want to, I want to go get one.

02:56:18.000 There are people that do not own guns that also benefit from the fact that guns are legal and available.

02:56:24.000 If they're legal and available in your area, you keep criminals guessing.

02:56:27.000 They don't know whether you have a gun or not, but if you are lawfully able to have a gun, you very well could have one in your house.

02:56:34.000 And that in itself is a deterrent.

02:56:36.000 Yes, that's absolutely true.

02:56:38.000 And we see that reflected in the statistics.

02:56:40.000 And I've had several interviews with uh... the former a former prosecutor and uh... chicago's cook county jim garrick he's now with law enforcement against prohibition uh... their website is leap dot cc uh... former law enforcement officials for prosecutors who are against the war on drugs and as he's pointed out in chicago he knows from decades as a prosecutor there that eighty percent of the shootings there in chicago

02:57:09.000 are a function of the failed war on drugs.

02:57:12.000 It isn't the fact that gun ownership is allowed there.

02:57:18.000 They hassle gun owners there like nowhere else. 1.00

02:57:20.000 And so the people who are armed are typically the drug dealers.

02:57:24.000 And as we saw during alcohol prohibition, it's the rival drug gangs that are shooting each other in the streets.

02:57:32.000 That's really the source of it.

02:57:33.000 It's not the legal gun owners.

02:57:35.000 We've seen many, many cases where they can stop an attack because of course even the best police can't be there.

02:57:41.000 We've seen the police chief of Detroit.

02:57:44.000 Tell us that.

02:57:46.000 He says he wants his people in his jurisdiction to have their own firearms because he said no matter how hard they try they can't be there when a crime is being committed.

02:57:55.000 We saw a mother defend her family from a home break-in using a weapon in Detroit.

02:58:03.000 Now the police subsequently caught the intruders, but she scared them off with some gunshots.

02:58:09.000 If she hadn't had a gun, they would have broken in. 1.00

02:58:11.000 Who knows what they would have done to her, to her family.

02:58:14.000 And the police chief there fortunately learned his lesson.

02:58:17.000 He had been a policeman in California where he believed in gun control.

02:58:21.000 Then he went to Maine and he started realizing, hey, These people out in these rural areas, they're very heavily, a large percentage of the population owns firearms, and look at how low the crime is.

02:58:32.000 And so he took that message with him to Detroit, and it's been people like him, people like Jim Gearock with Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, they're the ones who really understand what's going on.

02:58:42.000 David Letterman is just looking for badly desired attention.

02:58:46.000 We'll be back tomorrow at 1 o'clock.
