02:41:23.000 But you don't really need to have two pints of food to feel satisfied.

02:41:26.000 You don't really need to fill up that fist-sized stomach to feel satisfied.

02:41:29.000 For most of us, we'll feel satisfied with one or two bites.

02:41:33.000 Notice this the next time you're hungry.

02:41:34.000 Notice the next time you're hungry when you decide to eat that after one bite or two bites, you're pretty much satisfied.

02:41:42.000 You pretty much don't need to eat.

02:41:43.000 Now most of us, including myself, will continue eating.

02:41:46.000 We'll basically finish the amount of food on our plate.

02:41:50.000 Or we'll just continue eating if we're in a social setting, just because we want to be part of the crowd.

02:41:55.000 But as far as being satisfied, as far as being full, it only takes one or two bites.

02:42:00.000 So eating less food is one of the most important strategies, not only for stabilizing your blood sugar, but for taking the load off of the digestive system.

02:44:19.000 But in terms of chronic, long-term degenerative diseases, the kind of problems most of us are dealing with, whether they're blood sugar problems or heart problems or immune system problems, these are not issues that we need to be interfacing with the medical model for.

02:44:36.000 These are issues that involve lifestyle and lifestyle choices around blood sugar and around food and around working with the adrenal glands as well, which hopefully I'll get to here in a second.

02:44:45.000 So anyway, stabilizing blood sugar, eating less calories, using coconut oil, using micronutrients like chromium, vanadium, which you'll find in sweeties, using arginine and taurine.

02:44:54.000 The B-complex, by the way, is stupendously important for blood sugar control, especially thiamine, which is vitamin B1.

02:45:03.000 And niacin, which is vitamin B3.

02:45:05.000 In fact, niacin is actually part of something called the glucose tolerance factor, which is a complex of chemicals that the body makes in order to process glucose.

02:45:14.000 Here's the really interesting thing about the B-complex.

02:45:18.000 The B-complex is water-soluble, which means it dissolves in water, which means it dissolves in the watery part of the body, which means it's excreted out of the body every time we urinate.
