00:01:10.000 We're going to take a look at the true consequences of what he's done, and we're also going to look at the reactions to it from the GOP.

00:01:18.000 As they go on vacation and go home, they've had some in their number get on and make some kind of, I think, very weak suggestions.

00:01:27.000 Sadly, even Pat Buchanan on the Sunday Show talked about how what Obama did is an impeachable act, and then he goes on to say that we shouldn't impeach him.

00:01:37.000 Why would we not impeach a president for an impeachable act?

00:01:41.000 Well, the only reason is because of politics, because of selfish gain.

00:01:46.000 And that's the point that we've gotten to now.

00:01:48.000 So we're going to take a look at what the GOP reaction is.

00:01:52.000 Even Saturday Night Live was mocking Obama.

00:02:23.000 A young man, a 12-year-old, was shot because he had a BB gun in his hand.

00:02:26.000 So we're going to take a look at that.

00:02:27.000 That may not be an unjustified shooting, depending on how this came down.

00:02:33.000 And at first it looked like the police were going to stonewall people like they did in Ferguson, but then they came out with an explanation.

00:02:37.000 But then there was something far more troubling that happened this weekend in New York.

00:02:41.000 A man walking up stairways in a projects building that was being patrolled by the police.

00:02:46.000 He was shot in the stairwell.

00:02:49.000 They shot him in the chest, and he was killed.

00:02:51.000 And now the police have very quickly come out and said it doesn't look like he was doing anything illegal.

00:02:57.000 He didn't have any weapons.

00:02:59.000 There was no reason for it.

00:03:00.000 Coldly, the police did not even call for an ambulance there.

00:03:06.000 They just left him there to die.

00:03:07.000 But in related information this week, we had someone who was a whistleblower in the police department claiming that the police commissioner had essentially fudged the data on excessive force, essentially doing a Gruber.

00:03:23.000 I think we need to take Jonathan Gruber's experience.

00:03:27.000 I think we need to make a verb out of him.

00:03:29.000 So we're going to take a look at that.

00:03:31.000 And also in some news, we've got another secret order from Obama.

00:06:40.000 We're going to look at the new way that business is going to be done, the consequences of it, both legally, economically.

00:06:48.000 Many different ways that what Obama did is going to ripple through our country, and there's a lot of reactions from it, both from the GOP as well as from the press, the public.

00:07:01.000 But before we turn to that subject, I want to go over some of the breaking news today that's up on Infowars.com.

00:07:06.000 We have Obama secretly extending U.S.

00:07:08.000 combat operation in Afghanistan.

00:07:11.000 He secretly signed an order.

00:07:13.000 Oh, is that different?

00:07:14.000 Only thing different about that is that he's not talking about it, okay?

00:07:17.000 He signed yet another executive order that's going to expand the United States' direct comrade role in Afghanistan throughout 2015, reports the New York Times.

00:07:27.000 Now, understand that there was a lot of reaction to executives taking us into war, keeping us into wars.

00:07:35.000 They pushed back against Reagan.

00:07:36.000 They tried to limit his actions with the War Powers Act, and of course his response was to create Iran-Contra, to do other things like that.

00:07:44.000 But they weren't successful in terms of getting control of the executive power to take us to war.

00:07:51.000 So we don't have Congress involved in that anymore.

00:07:54.000 The declaration of war, the involvement in war, should be something that is done deliberately with the people's elected representatives. 0.68

00:08:00.000 That's why the legislature was given that responsibility by the founders of this country.

00:08:05.000 Now once, of course, you start doing that, once you're involved in a war, decisions need to be made quickly.

00:08:12.000 That's why they put the executive in as the chief of that.

00:08:16.000 But we need to take that decision very deliberately.

00:08:19.000 That's why it's a legislative responsibility.

00:08:22.000 In the same way, when you look at this immigration bill, and they first push back and say, well, this has been done before.

00:08:28.000 It was done by Reagan.

00:08:29.000 It was done by Bush.

00:08:31.000 Those were not executive orders done in defiance and as an end run around the Congress.

00:08:38.000 Those were implementations of the Congress's bill, the Simpson-Mazzoli Act.

00:08:44.000 They basically referenced that bill when they made those executive actions.

00:08:48.000 So, in the same way that the Congress was deciding what the immigration policy was going to be then, and then the executive was implementing it with his Attorney General, just like if it was a war that the Congress had constitutionally declared, it would be within the powers of the commander-in-chief to execute that using his staff.

00:09:09.000 That was what happened under Reagan and Bush.

00:09:12.000 That is not what is happening today.

00:09:14.000 What is happening today is essentially as if the Congress had gotten together and said, do not go into this war, and Obama said, we're going to go anyway.

00:09:22.000 I'm tired of waiting for you to declare war, so I'm going to do it on my own.

00:09:26.000 And that is essentially what has happened.

00:09:29.000 But again, I said before I was going to go into talking about that, I wanted to go over the breaking news here and some things that we will probably hit on later in the day.

00:09:37.000 We're going to also be checking with our reporters in Ferguson who are on the ground, Jakari Jackson and Joe Biggs are in Ferguson awaiting that verdict by the grand jury.

00:09:46.000 And they're keeping an eye on the tensions that are building there.

00:09:49.000 There's some other Cases of excessive police force that have hit this weekend.

00:09:54.000 We're also going to be looking at those.

00:09:56.000 One in New York that is particularly egregious, although there the police department has gotten out in front of it very quickly and said it was not a justified shooting apparently.

00:10:05.000 The guy was not committing a crime.

00:10:07.000 He was not armed.

00:10:08.000 He was merely walking up a stairwell with his girlfriend and he was shot in the chest with two cops that were walking down the stairwell.

00:10:16.000 They did not even bother to call for medical help.

00:10:19.000 The guy died Blood out there.

00:10:22.000 And at the same time that shooting happened, we have someone who was an analyst with the New York City Police Department, actually looking at their data, looking at the report that the police commissioner filed, talking about excessive force.

00:10:36.000 That very issue that is before us in Ferguson, that is involved in this shooting of the man in the stairwell.

00:10:42.000 In that report on excessive force in the city of New York, this analyst said that the data was fudged.

00:10:50.000 They promptly fired him because he went public with this.

00:10:53.000 He complained internally, they didn't do anything, so he went to his friends in the press, and rather than take the criticism, they fired him for it.

00:10:59.000 So now he started a lawsuit, began a lawsuit this weekend.

00:11:04.000 The issue of the police cooking the data in New York City has come up before.

00:11:10.000 In the case of Adrian Schoolcraft, the whistleblower that has been talked about quite a lot, especially by Frank Serpico calling him a lamplighter, that's his Way he characterizes whistleblowers, I think that's a much better way to characterize him actually.

00:11:26.000 But in the case of Adrian Schoolcraft, what he saw as a dedicated police officer there, somebody who was an honest cop, his father had been a cop, he was very idealistic.

00:11:37.000 He wasn't naive about what can happen in a police department, and that's what Frank Serpico said.

00:11:41.000 He said, I didn't come into this naive about what really happens.

00:11:44.000 I understand it's the real world.

00:11:45.000 I understand there's good cops, there's bad cops.

00:11:48.000 But in both cases, they believe that there was not such inherent systemic corruption.

00:11:54.000 They believed that they could blow the whistle on bad practices and actually see something happen.

00:11:58.000 In the case of Adrian Schoolcraft, for a couple of years, he recorded conversations secretly, essentially wore a mic on himself, recorded what he was being told to do because they were telling him and other officers to cover up violent crime because they didn't want that to show up.

00:12:15.000 And the statistics.

00:12:16.000 They didn't want rape and car theft to show up.

00:12:18.000 So when somebody would call the New York police and it would be a car theft, for example, they would say, you know, you really don't want to get involved in this.

00:12:25.000 You don't want to fill out all this paperwork.

00:12:27.000 It's going to create a lot of trouble for you.

00:12:29.000 They'd make it look really difficult.

00:12:31.000 Say, why don't we just change this report and say, once I got here, you forgot that you loaned this to your cousin.

00:12:37.000 And the car really wasn't stolen.

00:12:38.000 That's how they got their serious crime down.

00:12:41.000 And at the same time, they were telling them to lean very heavily on people for violations that they could get fines for.

00:12:47.000 Let's say having unswept hair on your barbershop floor.

00:12:51.000 They could come down with you for a couple hundred dollar fine there.

00:12:54.000 So they were ramping that up at the same time they were talking down the serious crime.

00:12:59.000 He blew the whistle on him, he tried to appeal to people within the system, and instead the number two guy went to his apartment and threatened him, said, we think you're looking kind of like you might take your life or something, so for your own protection we're going to put you into custody.

00:13:14.000 And they took him away.

00:13:16.000 Actually, before they took him away, they discovered the wire.

00:13:18.000 But he had a second recorder on the bookshelf.

00:13:22.000 They took him away, took him to an insane asylum, and committed him for several days until his father found him.

00:13:29.000 His father, the former police officer, found him.

00:13:31.000 Anyway, this has been going on before where they're fudging the data.

00:13:35.000 I guess we should start calling it the Gruber-ed the data.

00:13:38.000 You know, there was actually a piece that came out about Ebola just this last week.

00:13:44.000 It was put out, I think it was by, who was this?

00:13:47.000 Was this the Washington Post?

00:13:48.000 Yes, Washington Post.

00:13:54.000 And in this, it's a perfect example of how they groubered the data.

00:14:12.000 We have shrapnel.

00:14:13.000 We have crapper from the guy who... Crapper was the guy who invented the toilet.

00:14:17.000 We even have Lewinsky from Monica Lewinsky.

00:14:20.000 I think what we ought to have is Grubering the data.

00:14:22.000 I think we need to have a verb for that.

00:22:10.000 See, when Congress blocks the President because they don't agree with him, Congress is actually working.

00:22:22.000 They didn't do what he demanded.

00:22:25.000 So he went over, ran around them, did whatever he wanted to.

00:22:29.000 He says, and this is actually the narrative that we've seen over and over again from many in the mainstream media.

00:22:35.000 We've seen it from Reuters, from AP, from most of the mainstream media, CNN.

00:22:41.000 Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W.

00:22:43.000 Bush, and George W. Bush all issued executive orders on immigration while they were in the White House.

00:22:48.000 Well, the reality of it is, is that Bush and Reagan referenced Simpson Mazzoli.

00:22:54.000 The Simpson-Mazzoli bill, which was passed by the Congress, they said the intent of the bill was to unite families.

00:23:02.000 So what they did was they extended it in some areas.

00:23:05.000 The bill directed the president to have the attorney generals change the status so that they would accomplish different objectives with that.

00:23:13.000 But what we saw in the result of the Simpson-Mazzoli Act, as a result of Reagan and Bush implementing that, We saw that it didn't work.

00:23:24.000 It only incentivized further illegal immigration.

00:23:28.000 We saw that millions of people were granted amnesty under Simpson-Mazzola, and then they realized that the border wasn't closed.

00:23:36.000 That they could come in and it would probably happen again, and it is happening again.

00:23:40.000 That's one of the reasons why they were blocking him on this.

00:23:44.000 But of course he did say one thing that was right.

00:23:46.000 They quoted him in The Hill.

00:23:47.000 He said, Their comments, that is the GOP's comments, are simply, quote, a lot of rhetoric.

00:23:52.000 That's basically the first thing he said about this that I agree with.

00:23:56.000 Now, he also went out and actually mocked the GOP.

00:23:58.000 We've got a clip of this where he says, I didn't dissolve Parliament.

00:24:01.000 Let's play that.

00:24:01.000 You know, I don't always listen to all the commentary, but... But I understand that some of them are already saying that my actions sabotage their ability to pass a bill and make immigration work better.

00:24:19.000 I didn't dissolve Parliament.

00:24:21.000 That's not how our system works.

00:24:26.000 I didn't steal away the various clerks in the Senate and the House who manage bills.

00:24:35.000 They can still pass a bill!

00:35:13.000 And of course we have seen globally that the temperatures have not risen according to their models that say that it was dependent on a rise in CO2.

00:35:23.000 We've not seen the corresponding increase in temperatures that they predicted.

00:35:28.000 Nevertheless, Obama is cutting deals without the U.S.

00:35:36.000 The agreement there was that we're going to cut by 25% our CO2.

00:35:42.000 They're going to be allowed, within 11 years, they're going to be allowed to continue to expand and then cut after 16 years.

00:53:39.000 He had been elected twice in a predominantly Democrat state as Republican.

00:53:43.000 He had been elected by a larger majority in the second time, and yet they did not allow him in most of the debate.

00:53:51.000 So he eventually just dropped out of the Republican primary and ran as a libertarian, because the Libertarian Party has had a lot of experience getting on the ballot in the states.

00:54:00.000 They know what the drill is, and they're geared towards that, but they have to expend a tremendous amount of energy and resources to just get on the ballot.

00:54:11.000 Then they're excluded from the debates.

00:54:13.000 And then of course there's the issue that they don't get any coverage in the mainstream media because the mainstream media is literally making billions now off of the Republicans and the Democrats.

00:54:32.000 I don't think we're going to get anybody, even if we got a great guy, an honest guy, to go do battle in Washington.

01:04:29.000 Once they switch, as they point out, settlements in domestic currencies in those countries, they can largely contribute to balancing the global economy by reducing the impact of the dollar.

01:12:45.000 The new Department of Homeland Security rules under policies for the apprehension, detention and removal of undocumented immigrants says that they're not really concerned about people that are committing offenses like drunk drivers or sex abusers or drug dealers or gun offenders.

01:13:04.000 Anybody that's doing that, that's not really a top priority for them to deport.

01:13:08.000 And they point out in this article that an illegal immigrant could spend up to one year in prison for a violent crime and still not be a top removal priority for the Obama administration.

01:13:18.000 They don't even want to deport criminals.

01:13:21.000 Of course, it's a criminal action to violate our immigration policies.

01:13:26.000 But we can't deport them for that, but we can't even deport them for violent crime, for sex abuse, for drunk driving.

01:13:36.000 John Bowne had a report about someone who was murdered in Oregon by a guy who repeatedly had had contact with the authorities and repeatedly was given a pass to stay in this country.

01:22:08.000 But anyway, the congressional bill continually works its way back up the steps and the president continually kicks it down.

01:22:14.000 In other words, his contempt for the rule of law.

01:22:19.000 And the constitutional process is blatantly obvious to everybody.

01:22:24.000 Even Saturday Night Live is making an issue out of it.

01:22:37.000 He says Obama's unconstitutional executive action to shield millions of undocumented immigrants, as the New York Times puts it, is a brazen effort to further impoverish the American middle class and convert the country into a third world wasteland.

01:22:50.000 One of these is Neil Monroe's article in the Daily Caller from Thursday, talking about how illegals will receive huge payments throughout the entitlement system.

01:22:59.000 He points out that 47% of legal and illegal immigrants coming into this country and their children are classified as living at the poverty line or below the poverty line, which means that when they file their income tax payments, they will be eligible.

01:23:12.000 He says a family of two kids, an income of $20,000 would receive $14,500 in earned income tax credits.

01:23:20.000 There you go.

01:23:22.000 But it's not even there.

01:23:23.000 That's not even the biggest part of the Cloward and Piven strategy.

01:23:28.000 And many people don't understand what Cloward and Piven is.

01:23:31.000 They're a couple of sociologists who were socialists.

01:23:34.000 They wanted to tear this country down so they could rebuild their socialist utopia.

01:23:39.000 The same way that you see the character And Captain America, the most recent one, the Winter Soldier, say we have to destroy America and then rebuild it the way we want it done.

01:23:48.000 That was what Cloward and Piven, as social engineers, suggested back in the 1960s.

01:23:53.000 And the way they said to do it was to create a massive entitlement state that could no longer be supported.

01:24:08.000 About 80% of your taxes are going to go to pay for schools, for building new schools, as this is rapidly ramping up, as we're importing everyone from any place in the world that wants to come live here in America. 0.99

01:24:24.000 These are massive, unfunded liabilities, and some of the states that have the Biggest unfunded liabilities, the biggest walls of debt, as they put it, are the ones who are the most supportive of giving out more free benefits to people that want to move into this country, to get the free benefits at the expense of the middle class and at the expense of the jobs for blue-collar workers.

01:24:54.000 We had the San Jose Mercury talking about California's wall of debt as only a slice of its liability problem.

01:25:12.000 Now, of course, you're going to be paying for that predominantly out of your homeowners' taxes, okay?

01:25:24.000 And in many ways, I guess you could kind of sum this up, the Hispanics saying, uh, uh, mi casa es su casa. 0.78

01:26:02.000 And regardless of what American citizens say at the ballot, They're going to put that in with their little emperor, Obama.

01:38:31.000 A journalist last night by the name of Tyler Yinks out of a source in New York, he was arrested for standing on the sidewalk simply just for taking pictures.

01:38:55.000 Yes, we were standing outside of the Clayton Justice Center yesterday, Dakar Jackson and I, and we were doing some reports about how they've been barricading up specific buildings in the area.

01:39:04.000 Even some of the buildings in that area, some of the businesses went as far as boarding up their windows as well.

01:39:09.000 One of the buildings had completely barricaded off their stairwell, so looters, anybody like that couldn't run in.

01:39:16.000 When we got done with the report, I was walking back to the vehicle, and I noticed a group of about seven to eight men standing in a large circle, and I'm sitting there thinking, like, these guys got, they have beards, they had the, uh, the, your standard, almost like, your military contractor type uniforms on.

01:39:32.000 Khaki pants, big green jackets.

01:39:34.000 I started looking closer, they had the American flag patches on.

01:39:37.000 A lot of the guys had earpieces in, they all had the Iraqi-Afghanistan scarf, the black and white checkered one that you see the local nationals wear over there.

01:39:46.000 And I watched them for a while and it was just very suspicious.

01:39:49.000 They all got into three different vehicles and drove off, but it looks like they're going to be staying in that area.

01:39:54.000 I kept an eye out for those men around the Ferguson PD last night at the protest.

01:40:00.000 I didn't see any, but there was a couple of people who didn't fit in quite so well.

01:40:04.000 Some guys that were walking around with backpacks on, I saw one, another streamer saw one as well.

01:40:09.000 It was very odd, but you know, they're sending a hundred FBI agents in, there's a thousand more police officers, there's National Guard.

01:40:17.000 Right now there's more law enforcement and police officers here than there is overseas in combat right now.

01:40:24.000 Maybe that was some guys from the Asymmetric Warfare Group, Joe.

01:40:27.000 You know, we went through A.P.

01:40:29.000 Hill, where they have built there, as well as in Camp Lejeune, they've built American cities, small towns, rural areas to practice controlling the American public.

01:40:40.000 And evidently, they want to get some real experience there in Ferguson, I would imagine.

01:40:45.000 That's why they're there.

01:40:46.000 What about National Guard?

01:40:47.000 Have you seen a lot of uniformed National Guard there?

01:40:50.000 I haven't seen any here personally, David, but there's a lot of pictures that are popping up on Twitter and Facebook.

01:40:56.000 People have seen them in surrounding areas, and it almost fits in with the picture that I had sent Kit Daniels into the article with the red line where the kettling was going to be involved, where they're going to set up National Guard around the area and then eventually close in on the violence if it breaks out.

01:41:12.000 But there hasn't been anything here in the heart of where everything's going on thus far.

01:41:17.000 Right now, where you're standing, it looks like it's pretty quiet.

01:41:19.000 What's going on with protesters in the area?

01:41:22.000 Are they in another area or has that stopped?

01:41:25.000 No, there's going to be a protest tonight around 7 p.m.

01:41:29.000 It'll be in the Shaw area where there was a killing back in October.

01:41:33.000 There's supposed to be a lot of protesters meeting there tonight.

01:41:36.000 So it's possible we're going to take a trip down that way.

01:41:38.000 It's about 30 minutes away and see what's going to go on out that way.

01:41:41.000 Thus far, there hasn't been a lot of police.

01:41:44.000 In this area since we got out here in the past 45 minutes, everything seems a little quiet.

01:41:48.000 There was a large setup of police off to my left last night and they were driving up and down through the area following protesters around.

01:41:56.000 The protesters were following them.

01:41:58.000 There was convoys back and forth from West Florissant, back to the police department, back to West Florissant.

01:42:03.000 So it was almost like a cat and mouse game going on last night as well.

01:42:07.000 You know, we were expecting to hear a verdict on Friday.

01:42:10.000 Most people thought the grand jury was going to deliver its verdict on Friday.

01:42:14.000 Now people are saying that they think it's going to happen tomorrow.

01:42:17.000 Is that what you're hearing a lot?

01:42:18.000 Yeah, roger that.

01:42:19.000 We're hearing that the grand jury will convene one more time on Monday and it's supposed to finish up any last words and then come to a conclusion on what they're going to say.

01:42:29.000 And sometime tomorrow we should find out whether or not Officer Darren Wilson will be indicted on these charges.

01:42:36.000 So from that point on, things will definitely heat up and we're going to be here bringing up-to-date reports as it happens.

01:47:42.000 I'm David Knight, and we have our reporters in Ferguson, Missouri, awaiting the grand jury indictment there, whether it is going to be an indictment or whether they're going to allow the officer to go free.

01:47:52.000 We just spoke to Joe Biggs, and now we're going to go to Jakari Jackson to give us his assessment.

01:47:57.000 And I want to get Jakari's reaction to what just happened this weekend, a shooting in New York City.

01:48:03.000 Jakari, are you there?

01:48:05.000 I am, David.

01:48:05.000 Jakari Jackson reporting from Ferguson, Missouri.

01:48:08.000 Now, David, with the particular stories that You were telling me about a young man in the stairwell.

01:48:14.000 Can you go over all those details again?

01:48:16.000 Yeah, basically what happened was you had, it was in a project in Brooklyn.

01:48:21.000 You had a man walking with his girlfriend of several years, walking up the stairs, and they were on the seventh floor.

01:48:28.000 It's called the Pink House Project in Brooklyn.

01:48:30.000 A couple of officers came in.

01:48:31.000 They were doing what they called a top-down patrol.

01:48:34.000 They entered the stairwell, and one of the officers pulled out a gun and shot this man in the chest.

01:48:40.000 And then they left.

01:48:42.000 They didn't call any medical help or anything.

01:48:44.000 The guy bled out there, was arrived dead on arrival.

01:48:48.000 And this is what the lady who was with him, her name is Butler, the guy who was shot and killed, his name is Mr. Gurley.

01:48:55.000 She said they didn't present themselves or nothing and shot him.

01:48:58.000 As soon as he came in, the police opened the door to the 8th floor staircase.

01:49:01.000 They didn't identify themselves at all.

01:49:03.000 They just shot.

01:49:05.000 And then they didn't call for help, didn't call an ambulance, and he died.

01:49:09.000 Now, the interesting thing, I think, Jakari, is that, you know, this clearly is, I think, everything that we were told initially had happened in Ferguson with Michael Brown.

01:49:21.000 That narrative was allowed to build for quite some time in Ferguson before the Ferguson police came out with some exculpatory evidence that would clear the officer.

01:49:29.000 Nevertheless, here, that is not happening.

01:49:32.000 Here we had the police commissioner come out right away, and this is what the police commissioner in New York said.

01:49:36.000 He said, what happened last night was a very unfortunate tragedy.

01:49:40.000 The deceased is totally innocent.

01:49:41.000 He just happened to be in the hallway.

01:49:43.000 He was not engaged in any criminal activity.

01:49:47.000 So, basically, he's essentially saying that, hey, you know, this really was a hands-up, don't shoot, except they didn't even get a warning.

01:49:55.000 There wasn't even a hands-up.

01:49:56.000 There wasn't any order given. 0.82

01:49:57.000 The guy, they saw the guy standing there with a woman and just pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

01:50:02.000 I mean, what's your reaction to that?

01:50:04.000 I just cannot believe that we live in a country where that kind of thing is happening.

01:50:09.000 Yeah, it's a horrible story, David.

01:50:11.000 Just in the similarities to the Mike Brown shooting, regardless of what happened with Mike and Officer Darren Wilson, one of the things that people keep harping on out here, and rightfully so, is the amount of time that Mike Brown was left to pretty much bleed out in the street.

01:50:24.000 You know, no chance of respiration, no chance of getting to a hospital, and potentially having a contradictory story.

01:50:31.000 So it's very alarming to me that these things continue to happen, not just to the people here in Ferguson, Missouri, but all around the country.

01:50:39.000 You know, and people are asking me on Twitter, you know, what do you think about these racial shootings and all that?

01:50:43.000 And I care just about as much about what happened here in Ferguson as the guy in New York, as Kelly Thomas, who was white, as the young man in Bastrop right outside of Austin who got tased and fell down and busted his head open.

01:50:54.000 Yeah.

01:50:55.000 You know, I care about all these people.

01:50:56.000 It's not so much a racial issue to me.

01:50:58.000 Do these things happen to minorities quite a bit?

01:51:00.000 Yes, they do.

01:51:01.000 But they also happen to, you know, white college girls who get arrested for jogging. 1.00

01:51:04.000 You know, all kinds of craziness going on.

01:51:06.000 Oh, you're talking about, you know, a white collar girl, a white girl, remember the video where the officer just comes out of nowhere and does like a body slam and knocks her into a park bench there?

01:51:16.000 Oh yeah, I believe it.

01:51:17.000 It was after some type of football game or some type of championship and they were having some type of rally outside.

01:51:22.000 And that video is actually in the Cobra intro where the cop just runs up and he hockey checks the girl and flips her backwards over a park bench.

01:51:31.000 All types of crazy things like that.

01:51:33.000 So we need to have a real discussion about what the legitimate use of force by the police is and what is illegitimate and what is going to be done about it, what kind of oversight they're going to have.

01:51:44.000 That is a tremendous problem throughout this country, and it affects everybody, whether they're living in the city or the country, whether they're rich or poor, black or white, it affects everybody.

01:51:54.000 And yet, we see this case in Ferguson.

01:51:57.000 I believe that it was, they let this thing run for a while, trying to build up tension deliberately.

01:52:02.000 Because I think Obama wanted to play the race card in this election and it didn't work.

01:52:07.000 Now the other thing that's interesting about this case in New York, to me, is that at the same time this incident happened, about these two cops walking into the stairwell, they see a man accompanied with a woman walking up the stairwell, no orders, nothing, they just pull out a gun, shoot the guy in the chest and kill him, at the same time that happens, We see an analyst filing suit against the New York City Council because there was a report that was put out looking at excessive force in the New York City Police Department.

01:52:36.000 It was put out by the same police commissioner who just said basically there was no criminal activity.

01:52:42.000 In other words, taking the side of the innocent man who was killed, not trying to talk that down or make any excuses whatsoever for the officer who did that.

01:52:50.000 He didn't say anything about the officer as far as I know, but he didn't make any excuses either.

01:52:55.000 Nevertheless, he was making excuses a while back.

01:52:58.000 There was a report about excessive force, and this analyst who brought it to their attention said, wait a minute, I think you're grubering the data here.

01:53:06.000 Although he didn't use that phrase, but essentially the same thing that Jonathan Gruber's doing.

01:53:09.000 We can go in, you can massage the data to make it say anything that you want.

01:53:13.000 He complained about that internally.

01:53:15.000 They didn't do anything about it, and so he said essentially, I said, finally, screw it, something needs to be done.

01:53:20.000 I contacted my journalist friends and some city council members, and he went public with the information.

01:53:26.000 At that point, the New York City Council fired him.

01:53:29.000 As a whistleblower, he is now suing them for that.

01:53:34.000 And so we see that the police are, even though this is a chronic condition, a chronic situation everywhere, and even though he's been up front about this, I think to try to diffuse things in New York, because if this happens in a stairwell in New York at the same time this Ferguson verdict comes out, and if they let the policemen go there, that's going to be massive riots in New York.

01:53:54.000 So he had to talk that down.

01:53:56.000 I don't really believe they want to do anything about excessive force.

01:53:59.000 They pick these ambiguous cases, as Paul Watson pointed out, and they avoid really doing anything to change the way it's structured.

01:54:07.000 That's exactly right, because the situation is, David, is these things continue to happen, the policies don't change.

01:54:14.000 You know, they always want to brush it off as some rogue guy, but you think about the situation that happened in Houston with the schoolgirl who refused to get off her cell phone, cop slammed her to the ground and put a knee in her face.

01:54:24.000 You know, and it's the same tactic For you know, some 350-pound guy with a knife as it is for a 90-pound schoolgirl.

01:54:31.000 The problem is the tactics, the problem is the training, or lack of training for that matter.

01:54:35.000 You send these guys out there and you just let them loose and hope for the best.

01:54:39.000 That doesn't work.

01:54:39.000 These guys need to be properly trained.

01:54:41.000 And to the fact that Joe was speaking on earlier, the policeman who was running the show last night, even though we had some arrests and some other things going on, the officers last night were very much more well-behaved than we had seen them in previous nights.

01:54:55.000 And that's due to the proper leadership.

01:54:57.000 And a lot of people in the community like that guy who was out there.

01:54:59.000 So I hope those things can continue.

01:55:01.000 But still, we can't just brush this off and say, okay, we'll burn this guy so we don't have another Ferguson happen here in New York City.

01:55:08.000 No, you have to change the policies and let the people know that you are really trying to do something that's in their better interest.

01:55:14.000 And I hope that the situation in New York does not turn into something that is merely racial, because of course there are racial overtones to this situation as well, and there is a racial aspect to it.

01:55:25.000 But as you pointed out, this is happening to everybody.

01:55:27.000 We had the police in New York, remember when they were chasing a suspect in New York, they just fired like nine rounds at him.

01:55:35.000 Oh yeah, it wasn't outside of the Empire State Building, it was outside of some building And then they're like, you know, so many people shot, like nine people shot, and the headlines almost made it seem like the guy did the shooting.

01:55:46.000 Like, no, the police, it was like that scene from Pulp Fiction, you know, they pull out the guns and shoot everything except the guy.

01:55:51.000 Exactly.

01:55:52.000 It would be funny if it wasn't so serious, and yet...

01:55:55.000 You know, that was not racially motivated.

01:55:58.000 There has to be something done about the rules of engagement.

01:56:01.000 But, you know, they're talking about this situation and immediately you've got a former city councilman in New York put a racial spin on it.

01:56:06.000 He goes, so here's an unarmed black 28-year-old in the stairwell.

01:56:10.000 Two officers, one Asian, one white, fully armed.

01:56:12.000 He's unarmed.

01:56:13.000 They meet him on the stairwell.

01:56:14.000 He winds up dead with a bullet in his chest.

01:56:16.000 I want to hear the justification for this one.

01:56:18.000 Don't tell me the hallway was dimly lit. 1.00

01:56:20.000 That's no reason to kill a black man on a stairwell.

01:56:23.000 Okay, so there is difference in races between the people, but there has to be rules of engagement, there has to be external oversight of the police to keep this from happening to anyone. 0.94

01:56:33.000 And the fact that it's happening more frequently to blacks, that's important, but it's not the only thing that matters here.

01:56:38.000 It's the rules of engagement and the oversight that something needs to be done about.

01:56:42.000 I hope that that's what people are going to push for with Ferguson as well as here in New York.

01:56:47.000 Yes, a lot of people we meet out here, you know, there's a diverse crowd, you know, predominantly, we have seen a large group of blacks out there, but there are also white people out there, Asian people out there, people with anonymous masks, you don't know what race they are, but you know, people, they come together in unity, you know, old, young, white, black, whatever.

01:57:05.000 And they just say, we want oversight.

01:57:07.000 We want accountability for these officers and the actions that they take, you know, because so often it's, you know, occasionally they will burn somebody just to put a happy face on it, but we have to have Uh, from the ground up, the top, ground up, top down, whatever it has to be to get these guys in line and also hold them accountable.

01:57:24.000 You know, I, for all the accountability we talk about here, we see an officer go F yourself, got fired or suspended or whatever.

01:57:30.000 I still haven't heard anything, uh, happen to the guy who was out there aiming a gun at people in the crowd.

01:57:35.000 That's right.

01:57:36.000 You know, and that was the first day we got here on that Tuesday after Mike got shot, aiming guns, putting sniper dots on people's chest.

01:57:42.000 As far as I know, nothing's happened to that guy.

01:57:44.000 He hasn't been, uh, disciplined in any way at all that I know of.

01:57:47.000 That's right.
