01:41:06.000 They have stood directly against the federal government's mandates as far as marijuana, and that is standing, because they first won the hearts and minds and the understanding of the people on marijuana.

02:43:51.000 In the media, drones are becoming more and more popular.

02:43:55.000 Using drones in films is actually one of the number one new filmmakers trends that is going on in the USA today.

02:44:46.000 With more and more drones being spat out of factories, the jobs are opening up.

02:44:53.000 Amazon is looking for drone pilots to drop gifts off at people's houses.

02:44:58.000 And all sorts of other companies are lining up and making sure they hire for new drone operators.

02:45:04.000 So hey, if you're a hobbyist, you just got a job.

02:45:07.000 Now that we've covered the basics of drones, let's go to a real expert.

02:45:16.000 How does a drone work?

02:45:18.000 Surprisingly, the technology of drones is a lot like cell phones.

02:45:21.000 Basically, cell phones have a GPS.

02:45:23.000 They have what they call an IMU, which tells you its orientation.

02:45:27.000 They have a compass.

02:45:28.000 So, basically, these are the same kind of things that you find in a drone.

02:45:31.000 A GPS, internally, you'll have a compass.

02:45:35.000 Exactly.

02:45:36.000 Here, you'll have a place where you can attach your camera.

02:45:39.000 So, really, the technology is very similar to a cell phone.

02:45:42.000 When I'm looking at this, this is a battery, right?

02:45:45.000 So what makes this so different than the average Duracell D or AA battery by a target?

02:45:45.000 Yep.

02:45:53.000 First of all, it's a lithium polymer battery and it's very light and it's very high voltage.

02:45:59.000 So it gives these guys a lot of thrust and gets them up in the air and flying for a good amount of time.

02:46:06.000 Amazon Is looking at hiring ex-military personnel to fly drones and deliver packages to their customers.

02:46:16.000 How do you feel about that?

02:46:17.000 What are some problems there?

02:46:18.000 Well, I think it's a really neat concept.

02:46:21.000 I think a lot of things need to be figured out.

02:46:23.000 As far as, you know, allowing these drones to travel through cities and buildings and just being very careful and mindful of where these things go, especially when you lose sight of them.

02:46:35.000 And that's a big thing with flying drones that you always want to have line of sight.

02:46:40.000 What happens when a drone gets out of control?

02:46:43.000 Like, take this one article for example.

02:46:46.000 Drone owner located after device lands in family's backyard. 0.96

02:46:51.000 There's some obvious concerns about privacy there.

02:46:53.000 Sure.

02:46:55.000 Yeah, and you know, that's a very unfortunate case, and it doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes if the battery runs out, or there's some pilot error, the drone will fly away.

02:47:09.000 And fortunately, with a lot of these systems, it's built in what they call return to home.

02:47:14.000 So, for example, with this remote, if I just power it off, the drone knows to automatically come back to the point where I launched it from, because it's locked in by the GPS.

02:47:25.000 The government has started to put kill switches into these drones to where it's in the firmware to restrict drone usage in certain areas.

02:47:34.000 If I was flying this drone near the White House or any other top secret government area, it would immediately fall out of the sky or just return to home.

02:47:44.000 The most important thing, I think it's a safety issue.

02:47:47.000 And for example, if you try to fly these drones within five miles of an airport, you can literally be flying and it's almost like it hits a brick wall and it will just not go into that airspace.

02:47:58.000 And it's designed for a reason, right?

02:48:02.000 We don't want drones in the airspace of planes and all that kind of stuff.

02:48:06.000 But the problem with that is that when we come out with, like, you know how Google's always talking about smart cars and smart planes that will self-drive?

02:48:16.000 The problem is, what would happen if the firmware was in those as well?

02:48:16.000 Right.

02:48:20.000 One day, if it was in a computer chip, that could be implanted into humans.

02:48:25.000 So, there's concerns there about the government regulating everything.

02:48:28.000 Yeah, absolutely.

02:56:05.000 It's the Y-12 National Security Complex, and they store stuff there.

02:56:17.000 Well it's interesting there's a lot of these stories that pick up locally that don't go national and we don't realize how close we are not even to people breaking into a secure facility and doing something malicious but just out of even let's say sheer incompetence if that's what's going on in the story that we've been following in Tulane at the Primate Center where they This very dangerous bacteria they brought into the country to weaponize.

02:57:33.000 And he left there and he went right down the road because we have like three complexes here that are ran by the Department of Energy.

02:57:40.000 And so he went right down the road to the Oak Ridge National Lab and he drove up to the front gate.

02:57:48.000 And of course, you know, it's secured also, you know, you have to have a badge to get in.

02:57:52.000 And, you know, security denied him access there, and he demanded a tour to get into there, and that's when the cops picked him up.

02:58:00.000 But he was, he had a California driver's license, which was suspended, and his vehicle was registered in Texas.

02:58:13.000 We've got open borders, so if we've got open borders, it's going to be pretty hard to try to catch anybody that's coming in.

03:03:04.000 They were going to keep it, and there's actually an order that he tweeted out that showed the judge saying, no, I know you were going to keep his Declaration of Independence as part of the plea bargaining, but you need to give it back to him.
