00:01:39.000 They got the most amount of time, by far, last night.

00:01:43.000 I think it was, we'll talk about, we have the exact figures here, but it was well over a third of the time they were on there.

00:01:56.000 And I tell you, the beginning of it was just amazing.

00:01:59.000 Not only looking like a beauty contest, but really more like a sports contest.

00:02:05.000 But they paraded the candidates out there after they had the big stadium and the rah-rah-hoo-hoo, you know, they had the candidates paraded out there like beauty contestants looking very uncomfortable.

00:02:15.000 And you could see Megyn Kelly really kind of enjoying it.

00:02:20.000 I know you don't like standing there.

00:02:23.000 And they would do everything dutifully just as Megyn Kelly told them to do.

00:02:26.000 But it was a great visual there for how Presidential candidates in this country really are puppets of the powerful.

00:02:34.000 In this case, they were under the thumb of the Fox News crew.

00:02:40.000 They say it was not only the most-watched primary debate in history, it was twice as big as the previous record holder.

00:02:50.000 It's the highest-rated Republican primary, well, in 2011 and 2012.

00:08:51.000 I'm David Knight, your host, and of course last night was the debate, the GOP debate that everybody was anxiously waiting for to see how Donald Trump would do.

00:08:59.000 And of course they went straight for the jugular in some of the first questions on Fox News.

00:09:05.000 It was a huge debate.

00:09:06.000 As I mentioned in the last segment, they had three times the audience that they did in the 2011-2012 debates.

00:09:12.000 16% of the United States with television sets tuned in.

00:09:18.000 Well, what did they see?

00:09:19.000 Well, for the most part, they saw the Fox reporters steering the debate the way they wanted to.

00:09:26.000 Not only during the debate, but after the debate, as they brought in Frank Luntz.

00:09:31.000 Last night, if we look at who got the most time, Donald Trump got 10.

00:09:35.000 and a half minutes and then followed after that by Jeb Bush with eight and a half minutes then Mike Huckabee with six and a half minutes and it falls down rapidly until of course the very bottom is Rand Paul with just over five minutes and of course he got about fifteen percent less than Scott Walker who was above him in number nine place.

00:09:56.000 Chris Wallace, Megyn Kelly and Brett Baer however spoke for 31 minutes and 53 seconds About 31.7% of the time.

00:10:06.000 And we're going to take a look at what Megyn Kelly has to say, but first I just want to give you a feel for the content of the questions.

00:10:14.000 If you were watching the debate last night, it's kind of hard to see anything much of any substance.

00:10:19.000 I think really the only substantive discussion that was there, we can look at the observations going back and forth with what they had to say, what it tells us about the candidates, but for the most part, most of these questions were personal questions.

00:10:31.000 They weren't policy questions.

00:10:34.000 For example, they come out, the first thing they do is ask them to take a GOP loyalty oath.

00:10:37.000 That was targeted towards Donald Trump, and we'll play that for you.

00:10:40.000 Then they come back, the next question is one on electability to Carson.

00:10:44.000 Then they have a question to Rubio.

00:10:45.000 Explain to Jeb, Rubio, why you, who've never held executive office, should hold executive office.

00:10:52.000 Then he comes back and he says, well, if we're going to play the resume game, Hillary Clinton wins.

00:10:57.000 It's like, really?

00:10:58.000 Really?

00:10:58.000 You think Hillary Clinton's got a great resume?

00:11:00.000 She's got a great rap sheet. 1.00

00:11:02.000 She doesn't have a great resume. 0.61

00:11:04.000 But, of course, it was a great pivot for Rubio because he then came back and said, well, I'm one of you.

00:11:10.000 I'm a poor person.

00:11:11.000 I grew up without a lot of money.

00:11:13.000 I'm like the average American.

00:11:15.000 Only problem is, he's not a natural-born citizen.

00:11:18.000 His parents were not citizens, even though he was born in the United States.

00:11:21.000 He's qualified to be a senator.

00:11:23.000 If people elect him, I wouldn't vote for him, but he's not qualified under the Constitution under natural-born citizenship, as are Neither is Cruz or Jindal for that fact.

00:11:34.000 Then they come into Jeb.

00:11:35.000 Jeb, are you your own man?

00:11:37.000 Jeb comes in and he says, well, in Florida they call me Jeb and I earned it.

00:11:44.000 We have to ask, what does one do to earn the title Jeb?

00:11:49.000 And what does that mean, that you earned the title Jeb?

00:11:53.000 That's going to be the first thing we're going to take a look at.

00:11:55.000 What is going on?

00:11:56.000 Is he really the pro-life candidate that he puts himself out there to be?

00:12:01.000 Next thing, they come back to Trump.

00:12:03.000 You embody the war on women, and that's a back and forth with Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump. 0.98

00:12:08.000 Then to Cruz, Paul says you're more divisive.

00:12:10.000 Then to Christie, you've had nine downgrades in credit in New Jersey, 44th in growth.

00:12:16.000 Now that's starting to get to an issue.

00:12:19.000 Because if you notice, all of the Democrat, I'm sorry, all the governor candidates, people who've had the office of governor, they all tell you how they created more jobs than God did in six days.

00:12:31.000 And of course, he has a very difficult record to defend on that.

00:12:35.000 Of course, all the Republican and Democrat who ran, who are holding a federal office as a senator.

00:12:43.000 We'll tell you that they have all this foreign policy experience.

00:12:45.000 They've looked ISIS in the eye and ISIS has blinked.

00:12:48.000 And they're the guy who can take you to war.

00:12:51.000 And you should be going to war. 0.99

00:12:54.000 All the gubernatorial candidates will tell you how they created jobs and they cut taxes.

00:12:59.000 Then finally they go to Walker and we start to get to a real issue.

00:14:25.000 Mitch McConnell moved swiftly on Thursday, that's yesterday, to shut down any possible conservative attempt to block funding for Planned Parenthood.

00:14:34.000 He says that McConnell would rather have a possibly criminal organization like Planned Parenthood continue to receive money from the federal treasury than to risk a bad news cycle, writes Breitbart.

00:14:44.000 They say McConnell explained that a vote last week seeking to defund Planned Parenthood allowed senators to be on the record against this organization.

00:14:50.000 So what are you complaining about?

00:14:52.000 You got to come out and say that you don't like Planned Parenthood.

00:14:55.000 But we're not going to do anything about it.

00:14:58.000 That's the way McConnell and Boehner actually operate.

00:15:01.000 You can go on the record and say that you are opposed to this, but don't expect that we're going to do anything about it.

00:15:08.000 Don't expect that we're going to shut down the government if Obama insists on continuing to give taxpayer money to people that we know are enticing women to have abortions and then selling the baby parts.

00:15:26.000 But let's listen to what Jeb Bush says when he presents himself as the pro-life candidate from Florida.

00:15:41.000 Many Republicans have been outraged recently by a series of videos on Planned Parenthood.

00:15:46.000 You now say that you support ending federal funding for this organization.

00:15:49.000 However, until late 2014, right before you started your campaign, you sat on the board of a Bloomberg charity that quite publicly gave tens of millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood while you were a director.

00:16:01.000 How could you not know about these well-publicized donations?

00:16:05.000 And if you did know, how could you help a charity so openly committed to abortion rights?

00:16:10.000 I joined the Bloomberg Foundation because of Mike Bloomberg's shared commitment for meaningful education reform.

00:16:16.000 We never had a debate about the budget.

00:16:16.000 That's why I was on it.

00:16:20.000 It was presented and we approved it, not item by item.

00:16:24.000 Here's my record.

00:16:25.000 As governor of the state of Florida, I defunded Planned Parenthood.

00:16:29.000 I created a culture of life in our state.

00:16:33.000 We were the only state to appropriate money for crisis pregnancy centers.

00:16:37.000 We expanded dramatically the number of adoptions out of our foster care system.

00:16:42.000 We created, we did parental notification laws.

00:16:45.000 We ended partial birth abortion.

00:16:47.000 We did all of this and we were the first state to do a choose life license plate.

00:16:51.000 Now 29 states have done it and tens of millions of dollars have gone to create a culture where more people, more babies are adopted.

00:17:00.000 No, I didn't know, but it doesn't matter.

00:17:01.000 I was working on this board because of the education.

00:17:04.000 My record is clear.

00:17:06.000 He was working on the board with Bloomberg because of education.

00:17:11.000 He was promoting Common Core.

00:17:14.000 Now, they gave $10 million to Planned Parenthood, but of course he says that they did all these other things there at the state.

00:17:23.000 I don't know how much money the state of Florida was giving Planned Parenthood that he stopped giving them, but personally, when he's director of a charity that gives $10 million to them, something is up.

00:17:39.000 Judd Bush would rather you forget that his grandfather helped to found Planned Parenthood.

00:18:03.000 And when I look at him saying that he's pro-life, I remember that he was governor when Terry Chavez was executed by a probate judge in Florida.

00:18:19.000 Either one of them could have and should have helped.

00:18:22.000 Instead, they sat idly by while people who tried to give her water, who tried to give her food, were arrested and taken away.

01:01:54.000 As Rand Paul has pointed out, they go to the FISA court and they say, I've got a search warrant here that I want to listen to Mr. and Mrs. Verizon.

01:54:37.000 Three times the number of people that watched the debates back in 2011 and 2012.

01:54:41.000 Twice the number of the previous record for debate and there's one reason for that and that's Donald Trump.

01:54:46.000 Everybody tuned in to see the fireworks and there were a lot of fireworks.

01:54:50.000 And of course one of the things that was very interesting about that discussion Were the donations that Donald Trump has made to Democrats, and the way he responded when they asked him what he thought he was going to get for this money.

01:55:04.000 Right, yeah, and it's just, he is unabashedly a crony capitalist.

01:55:08.000 He admits it, he says, I pay for favors, and what is going to make him change?

01:55:13.000 When he's the guy sitting in the chair, he's going to say, alright, go ahead and pay me and I'll do some favors for you.

01:55:18.000 I run the country now.

01:55:20.000 Exactly.

01:55:21.000 That's been my point all along.

01:55:22.000 He points out, look, I'm a self-made man, I've made all these billions, and I say, well, you need to look at how he made the billions.

01:55:31.000 In some respects, he was a bully capitalist trying to run other people out of business, using the government to take their property for his private use, using eminent domain.

01:55:38.000 The other thing that should concern us is all this money that he's been passing around, and he didn't shy away from that whatsoever.

01:55:45.000 Why is it going to save anything to elect a crony capitalist to president?

01:55:50.000 It doesn't save anything.

01:55:51.000 It just begs the question as to why he wants to be there.

01:55:54.000 Is it for his own personal gain?

01:55:56.000 It's not because of principles.

01:55:57.000 And I think all this back and forth as to whether he's a Democrat or whether he's a Republican, they're trying to figure out where he is on issues.

01:56:04.000 Is he going to do the same thing to us that we've seen from Mitch McConnell, from John Boehner?

01:56:08.000 Pledging to the Republican base that they're going to do something on one issue when they get elected, they do exactly the opposite.

01:56:14.000 We've now had Mitch McConnell say, look, you've had your vote on Planned Parenthood.

01:56:17.000 We're not going to move any further on this.

01:56:19.000 We're done.

01:56:20.000 Same thing we hear from John Boehner.

01:56:22.000 Are we going to hear that from a Donald Trump?

01:56:24.000 Is he going to just move along?

01:56:26.000 Yeah, well, and just the fact that he wouldn't take the pledge, that to me right there, I was like, he's a ringer.

01:56:32.000 I mean, he knows that it could potentially give the election to the Democrats, but he doesn't care.

01:56:37.000 He's already hedged his bets with Clinton, you know?

01:56:40.000 So either way, he knows if she's in, she's still going to be, you know, giving him those favors that he's already paid up for.

01:56:47.000 And as we pointed out before, he gave $100,000 to the Clinton Foundation.

01:56:52.000 He gave $25,000 to Democrat candidates in 2006.

01:56:55.000 We've had some of the people who are looking at this, PolitiFact, went back and said, well, no, he's given more money to the Republicans.

01:57:02.000 As we pointed out when we showed the graph, you can see that he has stepped up dramatically his contributions in the last five years and made them exclusively Republican.

01:57:11.000 Prior to that, He was giving more money to the Democrats in most years, as you can see that right there.

01:57:17.000 He's had essentially a blue period and now he's entered his red period, just like Picasso.

01:57:21.000 What kind of a picture does that paint?

01:57:23.000 One of the things that he said when they questioned him on, what are you going to get for all that money?

01:57:27.000 And he came back and said, well, Hillary Clinton, I said, be at my wedding and she came to my wedding.

01:57:32.000 So there you go.

01:57:33.000 You give the Clintons $100,000 and she will appear at your wedding.

01:57:38.000 Does he really think that that's all that we expect that he's getting from her?

01:57:38.000 I mean, really?

01:57:43.000 Yeah, and then we're seeing the same sort of passion for Trump like we saw build up for Obama.

01:57:49.000 So all these people saying, yeah, simply because he is Speaks his mind and he doesn't have a filter and he's not politically correct and people sort of like that transparency.

01:57:58.000 But he is this the corporate, you know, oligarch that we are saying we don't.

01:58:04.000 He's buying out the very politicians that we've been complaining about.

01:58:08.000 You know, our country has now been bought and paid for by him.

01:58:12.000 It's still about identity politics.

01:58:15.000 And you see it, and that's the thing that is so disturbing, is that you see it just as much in either party.

01:58:21.000 You see people not concerned about what he's going to do or his positions on issues, but you see them concerned about who he is.

02:04:16.000 I would also just say this, since he has changed his mind on amnesty, on healthcare, and on abortion, I would just ask, what are the principles by which he will govern?

02:10:35.000 Yeah, I think he won purely from an entertainment standpoint.

02:10:38.000 The fact that it was the GOP versus Donald Trump, and that's the way I see it.

02:10:44.000 Before Megyn Kelly and Fox News versus Donald Trump, they clearly were going after him.

02:11:41.000 And if you didn't stand by that decision, you didn't deserve to be President of the United States.

02:11:46.000 He was then asked about border security, and this man said that he would fix border security by sending 25,000 troops to Iraq and Syria!

02:24:53.000 You know, I saw an article saying that Donald Trump had said we need to get rid of anchor babies, and when I saw that, when I first glanced at that, I thought he said, Donald Trump says we need to get rid of anchor babes.

02:25:09.000 And of course, and he also lashed out at Frank Luntz, and Frank Luntz, I really Don't like what Fox News does in terms of manipulating the audience.

02:33:57.000 At one point Ben Carson They didn't talk to him for quite a while, and he goes, they'd only talked to him once, and he said, I didn't think you were going to come back to me ever again.

02:34:05.000 Well, what they said in that first question I thought was interesting, because it told us more, I think, really about Fox News than it tells us about Ben Carson.

02:34:14.000 Here's what the question said.

02:34:15.000 They said, you've suggested the Baltic states are not part of NATO.

02:34:18.000 Just months ago, you were unfamiliar with the major political parties and the government in Israel, etc., etc.

02:34:23.000 And I'm listening to this, and I'm thinking, What is he running for?

02:34:26.000 Is he running for President of the United States or is he running for Emperor of a Worldwide Empire?

02:34:31.000 And of course, the latter would be what Fox News is saying.

02:34:35.000 Why does he need to know the political parties in Israel if he doesn't know the Constitution?

02:34:39.000 Those are the questions and the concerns that I had about Ben Carson.

02:34:43.000 Is his vacillation on the right to keep and bear arms, the fact that he's made comments about how people in rural areas, yeah, they should have firearms, but now the people in the cities, they really don't need them.

02:34:54.000 And then coming down hard against informed consent and for mandatory vaccines.

02:34:59.000 That, to me, betrays a fundamental misunderstanding about the Constitution, about individual liberty, about the purpose of the federal government.

02:35:07.000 Yeah, he's flip-flopped quite a few times on the Second Amendment, so that kind of makes me a little nervous as to what's going to happen once, if he were to get in that position and actually be president.

02:35:15.000 Would he stick with how he views it now?

02:35:17.000 Is he for the Second Amendment?

02:35:19.000 Or is he going to go back to saying that every gun needs to be registered, we need to have this huge database, we're going to do all this, we're going to force vaccines?

02:35:27.000 He seems like a nice guy.

02:35:28.000 The fact that he's not a professional politician, he was able to come in there, and when he was actually given time to talk, he kind of handed himself very well, I thought.

02:35:42.000 Do you know about the political parties in Israel and everything?

02:35:44.000 I mean, if you're talking about running a worldwide empire, which is what they want, then you're going to ask Caesar, you know, do you know about Gaul?

02:36:40.000 And I mean, I'm not a fan of everything he says, but if you look at the entire field, Before Donald Trump came along, Rand was the only truly anti-establishment candidate.

02:36:49.000 So then Trump arrives with this populist bluster, which if you look at his actual history and his statements, even going back just two, four, six years, is complete baloney.

02:37:01.000 So then they set Trump up as the establishment candidate, and in fact I've got a video up on Infowars.com right now called, Is Trump a Hillary Plant?

02:37:11.000 Because if you look at the polls, Trump is way ahead of the other GOP candidates, but he has no chance whatsoever of defeating Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head.

02:37:21.000 Before Trump arrived on the scene, Rand Paul basically had the best chance out of all the GOP candidates of defeating Hillary. 0.97

02:37:29.000 Now still, People like Scott Walker are tied with Hillary, so he would have a chance in a hypothetical head-to-head.

02:37:37.000 But Trump is 12% behind Hillary, even at the height of his popularity, and while Hillary is under investigation by the FBI.

02:37:47.000 So given that Trump received this, you know, mysterious phone call back in May, shortly before he made his announcement, I think he's a ringer.

02:38:01.000 Well, you know, Paul, he gave the Clinton Foundation over $100,000, but it was just to get her to come to his wedding.

02:38:10.000 No, I mean you can get, and obviously he's donated money to other people, but then you look at his statements about how kind and generous he's been, and in fact they're in the video, you look at Bill Clinton's statements about how kind and generous he's been, then he gets a phone call right before his presidential announcement from Bill Clinton.

02:38:29.000 And there's an article in The Hill which says if Bill Clinton had told him all these things to do, and that's what you would expect Trump to do, you know, attack other GOP candidates personally, alienate Hispanic voters, he's done all these things that someone like Clinton would have told him to do if his intention was to sabotage the GOP race and ensure that Hillary's going to come out on top.

02:38:54.000 Because remember, Bilderberg.

02:38:56.000 Before Bilderberg, we released the article where Hillary's top advisor, who also advised Obama, was at Bilderberg, and we basically made the prediction that she was the elite pick.

02:39:09.000 And if, you know, if conservatives want Hillary Clinton to become president, then they should keep supporting Donald Trump, because that's exactly what's going to happen.

02:39:19.000 Well, it's not only that, but he's also a stalking horse for Jeb Bush, because Jeb Bush last night was talking about how he, well, they asked him questions about the foundation that he was a director of with Bloomberg, giving $10 million to Planned Parenthood, and he said, oh, well, it was just because we were really, it wasn't that, I thought it was to promote education.

02:39:38.000 Well, what was the education he was promoting?

02:39:39.000 That was the other thing that was talked about, Common Core.

02:39:42.000 So here's a guy promoting abortion, with Planned Parenthood, as we mentioned earlier in the program, both his father and his grandfather were closely tied to Planned Parenthood.

02:39:52.000 He's pushing Common Core, he's pushing open borders.

02:39:56.000 So when you got Donald Trump out there personally attacking people who are coming across, rather than talking about our enticement, our open borders, then that opens up an area for Jeb Bush to look like a good guy, the good guy out of the GOP.

02:40:11.000 So he's really a stalking horse for Jeb Bush as well.

02:40:13.000 He makes the Republican Party look bad, but then he makes Jeb Bush look like a quote-unquote compassionate conservative, which was the beard that his brother ran with.

02:40:23.000 Yeah, and, you know, it's the same with Bush, as you mentioned, with Trump, you know, Bush made a lot of populist statements that resonated with a lot of people, you know, we're not going to be the global policeman.

02:40:33.000 Same as Obama, you know, we're going to reverse the Patriot Act, we're going to shut down Guantanamo Bay, we're going to get out of all these wars.

02:40:41.000 And basically Trump's running on the same populist platform, but there's no substance whatsoever.

02:40:46.000 And in fact, you know, the big reaction is Oh, look how evil Fox News is, baiting Donald Trump.

02:40:53.000 Well, actually, they gave him the platform to do what he does best, which is firing back with these witty retorts and giving him the opportunity to make more of these, you know, populist statements and making politically incorrect statements, rather than actually focusing on his record Which is, you know, is not conservative.

02:41:16.000 Two, four years ago he was anti-abortion, he was pro-open borders, and they don't grill him on it.

02:41:22.000 And Trump claims that he's suddenly, quote, politically evolved.

02:41:27.000 Okay.

02:41:28.000 You politically evolve from a liberal to a conservative between the ages of, what, 18 to 30 maximum?

02:41:36.000 Donald Trump is 69!

02:41:38.000 You don't just suddenly flip from being a liberal to a conservative when you're 69 years old unless there's another agenda going on.

02:41:46.000 And yes, it's partly his ego, why he wants to become president at all, but I think it's partly because, you know, he's been sent to sabotage the whole process.

02:41:55.000 Well, you've got Tea Party conservatives, and the Tea Party was really founded in opposition to crony capitalism.

02:42:01.000 That was one of the core things about it, and yet here they are coalescing so many of them behind someone who has unabashedly been a crony capitalist and said, hey, the system's broken, I'm using the system the way I want it, I give money to these guys, yeah, I give it left and right, I'm a businessman, that's the way I do business in America, then saying, When I need a favor, I call him in two or three years.

02:42:22.000 I mean, he really does sound like the godfather.

02:42:25.000 Not somebody who is running for president.

02:42:29.000 Yeah, and it's not only the Clinton's, you know, Clinton Senate campaign and the Clinton Foundation.

02:42:37.000 You know, look at who else he's given money to.

02:42:39.000 Chuck Schumer, the big gun control guy.

02:42:42.000 Harry Reid.

02:42:44.000 Probably don't have to remind listeners about, you know, what he said about the Clive and Bundy supporters last year, calling them domestic terrorists. 0.77

02:42:52.000 He donated money to Anthony Weiner as well, amongst all these other Top Democrats, not moderate Democrats, but extreme left-wing Democrats that push all this anti-conservative crap.

02:43:04.000 And then he suddenly turns around and says, oh, I've politically evolved and become a conservative at the age of 69.

02:43:10.000 I simply don't believe it.

02:43:14.000 What do you guys think about what Paul is saying here?

02:43:14.000 I don't either.

02:43:18.000 I'll give you guys a chance to jump in.

02:43:19.000 I thought he made some excellent points.

02:43:21.000 Just like he was saying how your political ideology evolves when you make the point that he's not in that 18 to 30 range.

02:43:30.000 But you know, it's not just Trump.

02:43:31.000 It's many of these guys that I take exception with talking about the records on many other things, not just the things that we've mentioned here.

02:43:39.000 You know, one of the things I was looking at, I'm curious to get your take on Paul, you have a very different political system, you have very lively debates in the House of Commons there, and when anybody here in the United States like Ted Cruz came out and pointed out that Mitch McConnell had lied about the Trans-Pacific Partnership and these trade deals, He was excoriated by the leadership there.

02:44:03.000 How do people in Britain react about this sports and weather entertainment debate system that we've got here last night?

02:44:10.000 I mean, I was absolutely appalled about it, and I'm used to seeing that kind of stuff here in America.

02:44:15.000 What's the reaction in the UK and in Britain?

02:44:20.000 I think British people are quite used to seeing that for everything in relation to how Americans respond, not just politics, so it's nothing out of the ordinary.

02:44:31.000 The kind of debates that we saw before the UK election earlier this year They're not obviously dressed up in the pageantry that you have over there.

02:44:40.000 They were quite lively, but I don't think it would be a surprise to people who live in the UK as to the whole spectacle that surrounds these kind of debates.

02:44:49.000 But apparently it was Fox News' most popular broadcast ever.

02:44:53.000 They're talking about 24 million people who watched it.

02:44:57.000 So from that standpoint, I guess at least it might reinvigorate some people who are on the fringes, who are not really interested in politics.

02:45:05.000 It might get them back involved.

02:45:07.000 Well, you know, what we've seen in the previous discussions, what we saw in the junior varsity debate in the afternoon, and what we saw in the New Hampshire debate on Monday, were some very staid and tired, controlled discussions where they got up there and just read talking points that they had prepared ahead of time.

02:45:26.000 This debate, they engaged in some very lively back and forth debating.

02:45:32.000 And of course we had that back and forth between Chris Christie and Rand Paul.

02:45:37.000 My take on all this, Paul, and I want to get your take on it, is I think that they brought Chris Christie in simply as the pitbull to go after Rand Paul while Megyn Kelly went back and forth with Donald Trump.

02:45:51.000 I think they really wanted to have someone there who was going to go head-to-head with Rand Paul.

02:45:55.000 And that's what we saw with the fireworks going on back and forth between those two.

02:45:59.000 Well yeah, they had, obviously they had Trump right in the centre.

02:46:03.000 That's always, you know, a ploy to throw the most attention on whoever's right in the centre.

02:46:08.000 Rand Paul was right off on the wing, so, you know, physically he was removed from the spotlight.

02:46:16.000 And in fact someone pointed out that even though Rand Paul had, according to some accounts, less than five minutes talk time in comparison to Donald Trump's eleven minutes, Almost half of that was other people talking over him.

02:46:31.000 So he didn't even get a full five minutes.

02:46:33.000 He basically got two and a half minutes to talk.

02:46:35.000 But the things that Ron Paul said were better.

02:46:38.000 the things that ron paul actually said though were actually legitimate answers legitimate things about what our country needs whereas like with trump and all that it was just this like i said it was just personal attacks it was fox news trying to attack this person donald trump trying to attack again it went away from a debate and it went into this whole like comedy skit

02:46:59.000 it was like a skit from saturday night live and almost half expected for these candidates to walk out wearing nascar jackets with all their sponsor logos on it because that's the way they promoted this you know show today it was like a comedy show yeah absolutely well One of the fact checks that we saw, and of course what most of the gubernatorial candidates will do, is they'll come out and talk about how many jobs they create.

02:47:22.000 And so now we're seeing fact checks about this, where Jeb Bush says, we created 1.3 million jobs, we led the nation seven out of the eight of those years.

02:47:29.000 And it's like, well, no, not actually.

02:47:31.000 Scott Walker then comes out, I came in with an unemployment rate of over 8%.

02:47:34.000 Now it's down to 4.6% and so forth and so on.

02:47:37.000 This is what we see from the gubernatorial candidates.

02:47:40.000 Throwing out these numbers, every one of them created more jobs than anybody else did.

02:47:45.000 And also Christie's saying that you think it's bad now, you should have saw it when I first got there.

02:47:49.000 Yeah, because he couldn't make any case.

02:47:50.000 He just said, yeah, well, we're doing a little bit better than I got there.

02:47:53.000 Jersey's always been bad, so what do you expect?

02:47:55.000 Yeah, the low achiever right there.

02:47:59.000 But then of course what we see from Donald Trump is he inflates his net worth according to many people.

02:48:05.000 They say that he put it out there as having a net worth of $10 billion.

02:48:09.000 But then the fact checkers say, well, no, maybe it's $3 or $4 billion.

02:48:12.000 I've seen other things that put it at $7 billion.

02:48:16.000 Is this really what's important?

02:48:18.000 You know, this is what we see each time we come through, and it really bothers me to see these Republican candidates out there all the time about how they created jobs.

02:48:25.000 It's like, well, if you reduce taxes, if you reduce regulation, which most of these guys have not really done, then you can have an environment there where some other people can put their money at risk, and they can work hard, and then they create jobs.

02:48:39.000 But I hate to see these politicians, it really grates on me, especially to see Republican politicians taking credit for jobs that are created.

02:48:48.000 We even had Jeb Bush talking about how many jobs he was going to create in the future.

02:48:52.000 I mean, he didn't even get to the point where he was talking about how many jobs he had created.

02:48:56.000 He's got a figure that he's going to create if he becomes president in the future, this astronomical figure.

02:49:02.000 Also, a lot of these are government jobs that come into these various states, especially, you know, states like here in Texas.

02:49:07.000 You get a lot of government jobs down here.

02:49:08.000 Well, we had Obama say, I had this many jobs saved or created.

02:49:13.000 Okay?

02:49:14.000 Because he says, well, yeah, these are people that would have been laid off.

02:49:16.000 And it's like, how can you even measure that?

02:49:18.000 That's a metric that you can't come up with.

02:49:20.000 It's just like Jeb Bush talking about his future jobs that he's going to have.

02:49:23.000 Well, it seemed like all the candidates up there were shooting from the hip with their replies, except for Jeb Bush.

02:49:29.000 It seemed like everything he had, he stuck with the script, it was already pre-written out, and he just rolled with that.

02:49:34.000 It was his cookie-cutter political response.

02:49:37.000 He is well-coached.

02:49:38.000 Do you guys have that clip about Jeb Bush where he said, they call me Jeb? 0.98

02:49:43.000 That was the most ridiculous thing.

02:49:44.000 They called me Jeb. 1.00

02:49:46.000 When I saw that, I said, I don't know, this guy may actually be dumber than Dubya. 0.97

02:49:51.000 At one point, the very first question to Jeb Bush is, how do you distinguish yourself from your brother and from your father? 0.95

02:49:58.000 And so he wants to say that he's his own man.

02:50:00.000 Well, they called me Jeb.

02:50:01.000 And then he says this, he says, I've got a record in Florida, I'm proud of my dad, I'm certainly proud of my brother.

02:50:06.000 In Florida, they called me Jeb because I earned it.

02:50:10.000 Now what does that even mean?

02:50:11.000 What does it mean when they call you Jed?

02:50:13.000 I don't want to ever earn a Jed.

02:50:16.000 I don't want to earn a Jeb at all.

02:50:18.000 I don't even know what that means.

02:50:19.000 I want to get off that path of earning a Jeb.

02:50:21.000 Nobody called him on it.

02:50:22.000 I rolled out of my chair laughing at that point.

02:50:25.000 It's like, what in the world is he talking about?

02:50:27.000 So yeah, he also puts himself out there as a pro-life candidate.

02:50:31.000 We've talked about that a great deal in this program about the Bush family's involvement with Planned Parenthood.

02:56:27.000 So, you know, again, if you actually grill him on his record and his flip-flopping, then he would lose a lot of support.

02:56:36.000 And in fact, he's only getting more popular thanks to Fox News.

02:56:46.000 They want to invite these back-and-forth conflicts because that makes for an exciting news program.

02:56:52.000 But as one of the comments here on Twitter says, why didn't any other candidate defend and declare the Constitution and go after Christie besides Rand Paul?

02:57:00.000 Of course, we wouldn't have anything of any substance.

02:57:03.000 They have such a narrow range of issues that they talk about, as you were talking about before, Joe.

02:57:10.000 Lindsey Graham, when he was talking, every solution was, let's invade the Middle East.

02:57:15.000 Let's send a massive number of troops to the Middle East no matter what the situation. 0.98

02:57:18.000 He even takes a question about abortion and turns that into invading the Middle East.

02:57:23.000 Yeah, Trump was also asked about his declaration 15 years ago that he backed a single-payer healthcare system, an idea despised by Republicans.

02:57:30.000 They could work at a different age.

02:57:34.000 Also citing success of the program in Canada and Scotland.

02:57:37.000 Trump added he backs private insurance now.

02:57:39.000 But Paul interjected the Republican Party has been fighting against the single-payer system for decades.

02:57:44.000 So I think you're on the wrong side of this if you're still arguing for a single payer.

02:57:50.000 When you look at all of these different issues, Trump is arguing for exactly the same policies that the Democrats are arguing for, which makes perfect sense as to why he would support so many Democrat politics until about five years ago when he stopped making contributions to the Democrats and he started making heavy, exclusive contributions to Republicans trying to build connections inside the Republican Party and allies there.

02:58:13.000 Well, a lot of people who are also contributing money to Hillary Clinton are also giving money to Jeb Bush.

02:58:18.000 Actually, a lot of those people are giving more money to Jeb Bush, so that's a very interesting thing that's going on as well.

02:58:24.000 We've got the Goldman Sachs family.
