00:05:35.000 President Obama responded saying guns are worse than terrorism.

00:05:39.000 What we know is that the number of people who die from gun-related incidents around this country dwarfs any deaths that happen through terrorism, the president added.

00:09:09.000 Suspect arrested and charged with fatally shooting Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth.

00:09:16.000 A suspect in custody charged in a Friday night shooting death of a Harris County Deputy.

00:09:22.000 At a press conference Saturday afternoon, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman announced that Shannon J. Miles, 30, a person who had been in custody since early Saturday morning, is charged with capital murder.

00:09:33.000 Miles is accused, did it in front of witnesses and on video, I don't think there's any accused about it, of killing Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, in Northwest Harris County.

00:09:43.000 Shot him three times in the back and then stood over him and unloaded the firearm.

00:09:47.000 Investigators say Deputy Goforth had worked an accident scene at 8.30 p.m., then went to a gas station.

00:09:56.000 At Teagle and West Road, he was pumping gas, detectives say.

00:09:59.000 When Miles approached Deputy Goforth from behind, said nothing and fired multiple shots.

00:10:04.000 Once he fell to the ground, authorities say Miles fired more shots at the deputy.

00:10:07.000 Deputy Goforth was pronounced dead at the scene.

00:10:10.000 Now, here's why this is important.

00:10:12.000 Before I get into why the White House is doing this.

00:10:17.000 Friday and then Saturday when we had video of the guy, the news would just say a dark, complected man.

00:10:24.000 That's how politically correct this has gotten, where major universities now are banning the word man and woman, boy and girl, he or she.
