00:05:11.000 The strategies necessary to address these evolving threats are also evolving, but the simplistic view of some that our police department can simply step in and stop violent confrontations whenever they occur ignores reality.

00:05:27.000 Well, you know, unfortunately for this guy here, he's not acknowledging the fact that it is the police officer's job to protect people.

00:05:41.000 And if they're not doing their jobs, then what are we paying them with our tax money for Leanne?

00:07:32.000 So I can see, I mean, I can see why there's cause for concern there, but it really feels like there should definitely be police there doing their job protecting people.

00:07:46.000 What do we pay our taxes for so that we can have these police officers out there protecting people's First Amendment rights that many soldiers and military members throughout the history of this country have given their life for?

00:08:01.000 And the fact that this is happening at Berkeley, I know we talk about this again and again, but this is the place where students really were actively standing up against the police.

00:08:11.000 It got very violent there back in the day where they were standing up to their administrators saying, Our free speech rights do not end once we get onto campus and we need to be allowed to bring in any controversial speaker that we want.

00:08:24.000 We should have access to these controversial topics because we care this much about our First Amendment. 0.65

00:08:33.000 There was a really famous speech that took place on Sproul Hall steps where he talked a bit again about throwing yourself against the machine in order to break the system.

00:08:44.000 And that was a really famous, really powerful speech there given on Sproul Hall steps.

00:08:49.000 So it's just incredible to see it's that same type of revolutionary spirit existing, but they are militarizing and politicizing these groups who, you know, we talked about this earlier, how it's kind of, in my opinion, I think it's it's a good revolution.

00:09:05.000 A free country, a truly free country, should sort of have some of these activist groups, these little anarchist groups.

00:10:26.000 And that's why apparently Milo Yiannopoulos plans to come back to UC Berkeley this year where he didn't give us an exact date, but we're thinking probably pretty soon.

00:10:39.000 And apparently he plans to, you know, do a large week long event that will have tents and large parties.

00:10:48.000 And he says that it's being held to stand united against the progressive left to loudly reject the venomous, hectoring, and moral hypocrisy of social justice warriors, aka SJWs.

00:11:05.000 So he's going to hold talks, rallies, and throw massive parties all in the name of free expression.

01:10:15.000 So let's go ahead and And kind of look at the main highlights for the 2017 tax reform for economic growth and American jobs.

01:10:37.000 Was 2% more, so 35% for those high-income earners.

01:10:42.000 That's 2% more than what Trump campaigned on.

01:10:45.000 The standard deduction has been doubled so that no married couple pays tax on their first $24,000 earned.

01:10:53.000 No mention of border adjustment taxes.

01:10:56.000 Looks like it's going to repeal real estate taxes, the alternative minimum tax, and the death tax.

01:11:02.000 And they also talk about territorial taxes.

01:11:05.000 They didn't really explain that too much, although mostly it means that corporations who make money overseas are not going to be subject to getting taxed on that money, which is really weird because if I, as a U.S. citizen, were to go to another country and make money there...

01:11:28.000 You have to pay taxes to the U.S. So interesting.

01:11:31.000 Trump is really trying to reinvigorate the desire for companies to do business in this country.

01:11:39.000 He's wanting to do a 15% business tax rate, which he says is going to create more jobs.

01:11:46.000 It's going to make it more attractive to come and do business in this country.

01:11:49.000 And a lot of people say, well, that is going to Because if they have a higher tax rate, it's more expensive.

01:11:55.000 It's actually the employee who's going to get screwed over by that higher rate.

01:12:00.000 And so this is looking like it could be good for jobs, and people are pretty excited about it.

01:12:09.000 So it'll be interesting to see if this is able to kind of stop the need for going to war.

01:12:15.000 Because as people out there know, a lot of times presidents will go to war because the dollar is going to crash or we need to reinvigorate the economy or hide the scandalous affairs that you have with Monica Lewinsky.

01:12:54.000 But If you look on the home front, if you look at what he's been doing as far as his campaign pledges, he has been making huge strides.

01:13:04.000 And apparently it says right here that Donald Trump's 100th day as president is coming up April 30th, 2017. And so the White House has begun listing some of his accomplishments and They have basically been touching on points where he's done a lot of executive orders.

01:13:27.000 He has made huge strides in making sure that he's fulfilling his campaign promises.

01:13:34.000 So I'm just excited to see what What else he's going to do to fulfill his campaign promises, Leanne?

01:13:47.000 We had a record number of taxes collected by the U.S. government, but still doubled the deficit.

01:13:59.000 And so they're wanting to simplify the tax code, make it a lot easier for everyone.

01:14:05.000 They actually went from seven tax brackets down to just three, eliminating targeted tax breaks that mainly benefit the wealthiest of taxpayers, protecting homeownership and charitable gift tax deductions, repealing the alternative minimum tax, and the death tax, which really doesn't affect that many Americans, but a lot of farmers and people like that are affected by this death tax.

01:14:30.000 And they say they want to repeal the 3.8% Obamacare tax that hits small businesses and investment income.

01:14:37.000 So these are some pretty good goals for tax reform.

01:14:41.000 They say that the goals of this act are to grow the economy and create millions of jobs, simplify the burdensome tax code, provide tax relief to American families, especially middle income families, lower the business tax rate for one of the highest in the world to one of the lowest. lower the business tax rate for one of the highest So it'll make it attractive for corporations to come here and create jobs and make America great again.

01:15:05.000 So on that, it seems like he is going to be sticking to that proposal.

01:15:11.000 He can go in there and see, you know, the fat that needs to be cut away.

01:15:16.000 But again, like I said, the reporters that were in there asking the questions, it was all about, well, what is this tax reform going to do for Trump and his businesses?

01:15:26.000 This is being written for Donald Trump to help him and his family and his businesses wear his taxes.

01:16:03.000 It says, according to a new NBC News Washington Post poll, an incredible 96% of those who supported the president in November say they'd do it again today.

01:16:49.000 Mexico is actually proposing that they will have an entry fee for Americans, that if you want to come to Mexico, we're going to charge you some type of an entry fee.

01:17:00.000 What I thought was really interesting with this article where Mexico is talking about Trump's call for this border wall and of course are saying it's racist and it's hateful and how dare we want to protect our borders when they know exactly who is coming through that wide open swath of land as we've interviewed the investigative journalist for Breitbart.

01:17:27.000 Anything you're Walking through this land or bringing anything through, the cartels have to okay it.

01:18:12.000 So basically they're saying that if they don't get a good deal, well they're going to stop protecting the border on their side and they're just going to let the cartels come through and whatever.

01:18:22.000 That just underscores the fact of what people are talking about is why we want to build a wall or why we want to have better immigration policies because Mexico knows that whatever kind of agreement they've got with the cartels, well, we're going to threaten you with dangers.

01:22:43.000 How easy would it be for some of these cartels to come over and steal people and bring them over, you know, steal someone, take them over to Mexico?

01:22:59.000 And by not having a secure border wall, it is allowing human trafficking to go on.

01:23:06.000 And just an update on the on the judge who blocked the federal.

01:23:10.000 He ruled that the U.S. government cannot withhold.

01:23:20.000 This was a guy who was appointed by Obama, and he actually raised money for Obama.

01:23:26.000 He was appointed by Obama in 2012 to the position of U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of California while working as a lawyer in the private sector.

01:23:35.000 He raised two hundred thousand for Obama and personally gave thirty thousand plus to various committees working on behalf of Obama.

01:23:43.000 So obviously this is a judge who's now ruled against something the incoming administration has decided on with these sanctuary cities, obviously signaling bias and an ideological conflict of interest.

01:24:02.000 So we still have so many people that are allegiant to the former administration and those policies that that president and his administration were able to pass.

01:25:25.000 How dare we put up a border wall and protect our country?

01:25:29.000 But I think it's interesting how Trump said he's very good at making deals, and so he's already drawing up the plans to withdraw the U.S. from NAFTA in a show of force to say, look, I'm serious.

01:25:42.000 But then we have Mexico, on the other hand, saying, well...

01:25:44.000 We have some cards in our hand as well, and we're just going to stop patrolling the border and let the cards...

01:25:50.000 So it's kind of interesting how Trump is trying to bring jobs back to this country and make it more attractive to do business, and then Mexico, who's supposedly saying how racist and hateful it is, this wall, is actually underscoring the very reason why people want that wall there in the first place.

01:26:09.000 You might want to have someone else doing your PR campaign for you and letting people see the beautiful people of Mexico that really freaking hate the fact that their government is so corrupt and that they are being overrun by these drug cartels.

01:26:28.000 Speaking of opening arms, a lot of people are kind of wondering what the heck is going on with Ivanka Trump, because President Trump, as he was campaigning on Syrian refugees, he was saying that they are the all time great Trojan horse.

01:26:46.000 We need to have a better vetting program.

01:26:48.000 But now Ivanka Trump is actually saying that the U.S. admitting Syrian refugees is something to think about.

01:27:13.000 Ivanka Trump now going further than her father on whether those refugees should be led into the U.S. I think there is A global humanitarian crisis that's happening and we have to come together and we have to solve it.

01:27:31.000 Does that include opening the borders to Syrian refugees in the U.S.? That has to be part of the discussion, but that's not going to be enough in and of itself.

01:27:39.000 So, here she's kind of open to the idea of bringing in Syrian refugees.

01:27:43.000 It's not, you know, maybe that's something to talk about, but it's not going to be the final solution.

01:27:48.000 It's like a seven-year civil war there going on in Syria.

01:27:51.000 And of course, we know there's all other kind of proxy wars and proxy armies going on with a lot of people that have some other ideas for what they would like to see happen in Syria.

01:28:04.000 A lot of people are sort of in an uproar about why the heck is Ivanka advising her dad when it's basically she's making him turn away from his campaign promises?

01:28:12.000 Well, what she's saying there did come across as pretty vague.

01:28:16.000 She didn't exactly say that she wanted to or was advocating for bringing in Syrian refugees into America.

01:28:25.000 She just said that's something that, you know, should be talked about.

01:28:29.000 But that doesn't mean allowing.

01:28:32.000 But I do understand.

01:28:33.000 I mean, why is she taking a a lukewarm position on the subject when her father has has campaigned on being adamantly against it?

01:28:47.000 Whereas we know that there is a problem.

01:28:49.000 We do have a lot of refugees coming out of the Middle East, but we do know what's causing it. 1.00

01:42:58.000 You know, they say that there was an armed standoff in Harney County.

01:43:09.000 Militia groups from out of state came to show support for two Oregon ranchers who must go back to prison for starting fires that burned on federal land.

01:43:23.000 I don't know how you could put a charge like terrorism and compare that to ranch life in Eastern Oregon.

01:43:32.000 They flat out told me, you tell the federal government these people are not going back to prison, or we're going to bring thousands of people to town and do that for you.

01:45:25.000 They used to kind of take care of that stuff on their own, but now you are a terrorist.

01:45:28.000 If you want to do something like that, really incredible.

01:45:36.000 It says, Dew was wondering, you know, it's produced by AT&T. It looks like it might get some pretty fair coverage there.

01:45:49.000 And there has been a land grab and overreach of the federal government onto property owners' property rights, their land rights.

01:46:05.000 So should land owners and ranch owners stand up for their property rights if they feel like their rights are being violated?

01:46:15.000 And that was with the original Bundy standoff.

01:46:19.000 But, you know, as far as this other issue that happened where this man was being charged with terrorism for a brush fire.

01:46:29.000 I mean, that's unjust in itself.

01:46:32.000 And it wasn't the standing up to the government.

01:46:35.000 There was this brush fire that actually burned a little bit onto the federal land.

01:46:41.000 That was so very interesting there how they were kind of able to spin that thing and that caused a lot of discussion in the country as well with Among all sorts of people who actually saw for the first time people actually standing up to the federal government and thousands of people showing up to have their back.

01:47:02.000 But a lot of this, a lot of the federal land grabs, we reported on it.

01:52:48.000 What they forget to tell you is and you don't know it until you read all the way to the bottom of the fine print is that it actually decreased in the decades before that.

01:52:58.000 So hurricane activity decreased up until 1980.

01:53:01.000 So then they just completely disregard that data and they only collect the data from 1980 up until 2014 so that it would prove their hypothesis that the hurricanes were increasing.

01:53:14.000 Same type of thing they do with the warming of the ocean, is they collect water temperatures from different areas in the ocean, and you don't know how deep is it, is it a cold part of the ocean, is it in the Gulf where it's nice and warm, is it next to the motor of the boat that's going to give off a lot of heat, Where they're pulling the water in to collect this.
