01:48:06.000 And that's why there's a phenomena going on in the country where rhinos and country club Republicans, who never supported Donald Trump, now try to reinvent themselves and fool the voters into believing that they are Trump Republicans.

01:48:24.000 Well, joining us today is a crusading 100% genuine conservative Trump Republican, Troy King.

01:48:33.000 Troy King is a former Attorney General of the state of Alabama who had an extraordinary record as a crime buster in that job.

01:48:44.000 And he's facing a faux-Republican, Steve Marshall, who suddenly overnight, despite the fact that he was a Democrat, appointed State's District Attorney by Democrat Don Siegelman, ran with Barack Obama, was on the Democratic ticket in 2004 and 2010, and then in 2011, Marshall miraculously switched parties.

01:49:19.000 Well, there's only one Trump Republican in this important Alabama race, and that is Troy King.

01:50:16.000 We know a little bit about the race, but I'm going to be covering this race intensely in the three weeks ahead.

01:50:24.000 What would you say is the number one issue in the race?

01:50:28.000 Well, the number one issue in this race is the top three issues, really, Roger, are corruption, corruption, corruption.

01:50:35.000 Alabama is in the throes of the most corrupt Uh, government that we've had in the history of Alabama, and that's saying quite a lot.

01:50:43.000 In fact, the reason I got into this race is because I have watched as members of the legislature, the Speaker of the House, have all been forced out of office.

01:50:52.000 The Governor of the state have all been forced out of office because of corruption.

01:50:56.000 And I'm afraid we've got an entire generation of kids that are growing up believing that there's something wrong with being in public service.

01:51:03.000 That oaths don't mean anything.

01:51:06.000 The Constitution doesn't mean anything.

01:51:08.000 People think they can just get on TV and say, oh, well, I'm a Trump Republican.

01:51:13.000 I'm a real Republican.

01:51:14.000 I'm a conservative.

01:51:15.000 I'm for the wall.

01:51:17.000 And it doesn't matter what they really believe, what they've really done.

01:51:20.000 And it's time that we shine a light and we expose these people and we take our state back from them.

01:51:27.000 Well, as I recall in February 2017, Steve Marshall was appointed Attorney General by a governor who was then under impeachment proceedings by the Alabama legislature and was the subject of an investigation by the Alabama Attorney General's Office on the referral of four felony ethics charges.

01:51:46.000 Then, Attorney General Steve Marshall promptly recused himself from direct involvement in the investigation into that next governor who was prosecuted and forced from office, Governor Bentley, who ended up pleading guilty, as I recall, to two misdemeanors exactly two months after Marshall was appointed.

01:52:09.000 This guy is a sheep. 0.89

01:52:12.000 He is a wolf in sheep's clothing, folks.

01:52:15.000 He is an Obama Democrat.

01:52:26.000 When Troy King was Attorney General, crime in Alabama was at a 20-year low.

01:52:33.000 Violent crime hit a 20-year low.

01:52:36.000 Now, under Steve Marshall, violent crime is at a 30-year high.

01:52:41.000 This is a classic case of a real, genuine, rock-ribbed, conservative Republican.

01:52:48.000 Opposing an Obama donor whose filing fees went to underwrite the campaign for Barack Obama.

01:52:57.000 The issues here could not be clearer.

01:53:01.000 So how do you feel about the campaign, Troy?

01:53:08.000 I've looked at the polling.

01:53:10.000 It appears to me that you are on the victory trail.

01:53:20.000 Alabama, look, the county in America that voted by the greatest percentage for Donald Trump is Winston County, Alabama.

01:53:30.000 This is the buckle of the belt of conservatism around America.

01:53:35.000 And the heartland of America gets it.

01:53:37.000 The heartland of America is sick and tired of people who pose as something that they're not.

01:53:44.000 If Steve Marshall were to become the Republican nominee, guess who the Democrat nominee is likely to be?

01:53:54.000 How would that be for a showdown?

01:54:11.000 Unfortunately, she sought the appointment from Governor Bentley, but she lied about it publicly.

01:54:17.000 At a time that ethics are the number one issue in Alabama, I don't think we can afford to have a proven liar in the Attorney General's office.

01:54:26.000 And then there's Chess Bedsoul, who was the paid state director for Donald Trump.

01:54:33.000 He's running in fourth place.

01:54:35.000 Folks, don't be fooled.

01:54:37.000 He's not a Trump Republican.

01:54:39.000 He's a paid political operative who epitomizes the political establishment with a capital E. If you want a serious conservative, not some wealthy country club Republican trying to get you to buy into the phony idea that he's a Trump-type reformer, there is only one choice in this race.
