01:36:12.000 And we started figuring out, you know, maybe a few weeks before everything, you know, unwinded, CZ from Binance sold 500 million FTT, it's the token of FTX, and basically crashed the market overnight, and it's had a really hard time recovering.

01:36:27.000 But the fact is, $8 billion at least, some people put that total estimates up to $50 billion if you include all their investments, just gone.

01:36:35.000 And it's the biggest insolvency I think we've ever seen.

01:36:38.000 And, you know, Sam Bateman Freed just continues to go on this, he was the CEO, on this tour saying, oh, I didn't know anything.

01:36:46.000 And even the New York Times acts like it's no big deal.

01:36:48.000 But what I see is them saying, let's use this to try to take over all the private crypto when he had deep state and the government regulators all over him supporting him.

01:40:52.000 But then when you look at the real-world application of the CBDCs, while there are a lot of terrible things about them, they are going to be much more convenient for people.

01:41:09.000 Yeah, I think that's something that you have to do.

01:41:11.000 I mean, one of my biggest mistakes ever in crypto was buying Bitcoin in 2012 and not understanding what I was investing in.

01:42:00.000 Every four years, the amount of Bitcoin being produced on a daily basis through mining gets cut in half.

01:42:07.000 And so what happens is when that event occurs, you get a supply shock.

01:42:10.000 And then you have a dramatic upswing for Bitcoin.

01:42:13.000 That's when we get the bull runs. 0.70

01:42:17.000 They get wrecked.

01:42:18.000 And then you have the one year of straight down action, which is right where we're at

01:42:37.000 It is an outlier, but in general, when you really understand the Bitcoin halving, like, that's the most important thing that people need to understand when you're looking at the prospects for where Bitcoin's going.

01:42:50.000 I do believe that Bitcoin eventually becomes the world reserve currency.

01:44:31.000 Oh yeah, so CBDCs are something that is the counterbalance to Bitcoin because Bitcoin is open and permissionless and CBDCs are going to be closed and permissioned.

01:47:08.000 Well, you know, they had like, I think 300, Something like 300 million in Bitcoin sitting in the account.

01:48:04.000 In 2020, Jerome Powell said that they were open to using a private company to work with to create the digital dollar.

01:48:11.000 Well, obviously Circle and Coinbase, they already have USDC, and that was kind of a dog whistle that that is going to ultimately become, you know, what we're all going to be using.

01:48:19.000 And it's something where you're not gonna be able to fight it, but it is going to basically be a walking advertisement for financial privacy and Bitcoin.

01:48:27.000 Why can't we fight it?

01:48:28.000 Why can't we say no to central bank digital currencies?

01:48:32.000 Well, it's digital money.

01:48:34.000 They're going to implement it, and they'll do programs where they give it away at first.

01:48:41.000 Well, at the invention of dynamite, it's not going to be stopped.

01:48:44.000 I think people have to understand the bigger play here.

01:48:46.000 The bigger play for the CBDC, for the digital dollar, is to kick the can down the road in another 20 to 30 years on inflation and on the fiat.

01:48:56.000 Yes, because what it does is all of a sudden we've got a big demand problem because our supply problem is out of control, right?

01:49:26.000 And I talked about a little bit ago about the four-year cycles.

01:49:29.000 Right now, we're in a time where we should be on a downswing.

01:49:32.000 And we had FTX, the gigantic debacle, right?

01:49:34.000 Well, every single time we have a bear market, we have these debacles.

01:49:37.000 We had what we call the hash wars, a war between Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV and Bitmain back

01:49:43.000 in 2018.

01:49:44.000 You go back to 2014, you had Mt.

01:49:46.000 Gox, which is something that 90% of all Bitcoin transactions were running through Mt.

01:49:51.000 Gox.

01:49:52.000 It got completely hacked.

01:49:53.000 Still dealing with the repercussions of that to this day.

01:49:56.000 So every bear market, it might look a little bit different.

01:49:58.000 Right now we're dealing with what we call the contagion, which is all the fallout from

01:50:02.000 FTX.

01:50:03.000 I tend to believe that we're getting close to the end of that if we haven't already seen

01:50:08.000 the bottom as well.

01:50:09.000 Because something to think about is all this Bitcoin is locked up on these insolvent exchanges

01:50:13.000 and nobody can sell it.

01:50:14.000 So where we might see the downward action of Bitcoin go a little bit further to $10,000 to $14,000, you know, I think there's a chance we bought them because nobody can sell Bitcoin because it's locked up.

01:50:25.000 Well, once something gets this big and all the governments and corporations are trying to adopt a copy of it, or a system they can program and control that's not an open free system, I mean, I don't see how it goes away when it's the original real McCoy and still the open and most free system there is.

01:50:40.000 Yeah, absolutely.

01:50:41.000 Bitcoin is not going anywhere.

01:50:43.000 And this is something that a lot of people are confused about who first get into crypto and start hearing about these CBDCs.

01:50:48.000 They'll say like, oh, well, you know, these CBDCs are going to take over crypto.

01:50:51.000 There's no reason to invest money in it anymore.

01:50:53.000 It's going to go away.

01:50:54.000 No, no.

01:50:55.000 CBDCs are completely separate from normal crypto.

01:50:59.000 People are still going to want speculative assets, including Ethereum or Cardano, some of the other altcoins as well, to invest in.

01:51:05.000 That's separate than us using basically a stablecoin, using a dollar.

01:51:09.000 The way we use dollars- Absolutely.

01:51:10.000 I mean, what is a government's worth right now?

01:51:12.000 Not very much, you know.

01:51:12.000 currencies, they're going to be able to up them and down them while they're in your

01:51:15.000 wallet so they're really not stable.

01:51:17.000 Having a government backing it is the opposite of being stable now.

01:51:20.000 Absolutely, I mean what is a government's worth right now?

01:51:23.000 Not very much.

01:51:25.000 So I think that when you look at what's coming with them expanding the digital dollar, we're

01:51:30.000 going to see the world reserve currency go from the U.S.

01:51:33.000 dollar to the U.S.

01:51:35.000 digital dollar.

01:51:36.000 I think the death of America's financial superpower has been foretold a little bit too early.

01:51:44.000 I think China is not really that big of a threat to us financially.

01:51:47.000 I think moving to a digital dollar as the world reserve currency That's going to open up the demand insane.

01:51:54.000 It's going to be the way that they're going to be able to turn the money printer back on a digital money printer now and be able to kick the can down the road.

01:52:00.000 The fiat system is going to collapse at some point, but we're not there yet.

01:52:05.000 So how do people position themselves to be educated about this and really be experts in it?

01:52:09.000 Because, I mean, whether I want to know about this or not, I'm going to have to know about it because that's where the future is going.

01:53:02.000 Well, governments are admitting they want so-called stable coins that they can manipulate the history of, they can make things, quote, secret, so it really won't be a real blockchain.

01:53:14.000 Yeah, well, you know, what's legal today might not be legal tomorrow.

01:53:18.000 You know, you got to keep that in mind when it comes to, you know, basically what's coming in terms of, you know, the future.

01:53:28.000 Like maybe eating meat will be against the law at some point, and they can retroactively go and find all the times the UN had an iceberg through their permission blockchain.

01:53:41.000 But it is something I've always said, Especially looking at China and the CCP and all the stuff that they do.

01:53:47.000 Blockchain is meant for good, but that doesn't mean it's going to be used for good for sure.

01:53:51.000 It's Pandora's box that we can certainly use for negative and control and power and just kind of continue the greed of man, I guess you could say, or we can build a different system.

01:54:03.000 So expanding on that, what are the good coins?

01:54:07.000 What are the good systems?

01:54:08.000 Is everything bad except Bitcoin?

01:54:10.000 Well, you know, I'm a big proponent of altcoins.

01:54:13.000 I like a lot of altcoins.

01:54:14.000 I like Ethereum.

01:54:15.000 I like Cardano.

01:54:17.000 These are two competing, what we call Layer 1 platforms.

01:54:20.000 They're going to try to basically become the decentralized version of the internet.

01:54:24.000 And what I mean by that is there's not one point of control that can be taken out.

01:54:28.000 And when you look at Bitcoin as digital gold, which is really what it's become, the fact

01:54:33.000 is that there's only so many people out there that want to invest in a hedgeable asset,

01:54:38.000 Like I know in your world, you know people that own precious metals.

01:54:41.000 The average person, they might know a couple of people that own gold, right?

01:54:44.000 But Bitcoin's more exciting, so a younger generation wants to get in it.

01:54:47.000 But the fact is, is that the decentralized internet has more value.

01:54:51.000 And I think that's something to really look at.

01:54:53.000 So anything that's a layer one platform, like Cardano, like Ethereum, I think they're absolutely huge.

01:55:00.000 We're big on XRP.

01:55:01.000 We love XRP because the SEC has gone after them and we hate the SEC for sure.

01:55:06.000 But the whole thing is they do work with banks to make international cross-border settlements much easier.

01:55:12.000 It's actually kind of similar to Bitcoin in terms of it's a network of value, not a network of information.

01:55:18.000 The current SWIFT system that we have, the International Bank processes, it's basically,

01:55:23.000 "Hey, let's move this here and then we'll actually move the money down the road." 0.99

01:55:29.000 It takes a week.

01:55:30.000 With XRP, when that on-demand liquidity hits for all the banks that sign it up, and of

01:55:41.000 And so- How's that going to keep people like Bloomberg out with all

01:55:55.000 You know, my experience in stocks is I own Peloton and Coinbase, if that'll tell you anything about how bad I am at stocks.

01:57:00.000 It's a competitor of USDC that we were talking about a little bit earlier.

01:57:03.000 And there's a lot of questions about the solvency of these two entities.

01:57:08.000 One is a stable coin and one is an exchange.

01:57:10.000 And I think really what you're seeing is people want them to fail the most.

01:57:14.000 And it's like this really negative attitude that's very, you know, apropos for a bear market.

01:57:19.000 Here's the truth.

01:57:20.000 No company in crypto that has been around for more than five years is completely clean.

01:57:27.000 It was an emerging technology.

01:57:28.000 People made decisions.

01:57:29.000 It's a Wild Wild West.

01:57:31.000 Yeah, yeah, exactly.

01:57:32.000 Wild Wild West.

01:57:33.000 And I think that to judge a lot of these companies for the way they built their empires now that they're solvent and now that they've, you know, basically faked it till they made it, I think it's just counterproductive.

01:57:44.000 I think what we got to do is looking forward.

01:57:46.000 How can we keep This from happening again to where we have companies that have a lot of questionable practices rising up now.

01:57:52.000 That's why I think, you know, regulation is going to come in for sure.

01:57:55.000 So I think really when you look at Tether specifically and you look at Dell Tech Bank and you look at Moonstone Bank, these are some very, very sketchy things with some very, very sketchy pasts.

01:58:08.000 But ultimately, I think they have all the technology is sound.

01:58:12.000 But just because anything big and huge is going to have weirdos in it.

01:58:15.000 Yeah, I think that's a good way to say it.

01:58:18.000 Basically, this is a cutting-edge technology and you're always going to get a certain type of person that wants to be interested in that, including people that like Ingo.

02:06:36.000 So Dan Friedberg was the general counsel of Ultimate Bets.

02:06:39.000 And this is a kind of cool story if people don't know.

02:06:41.000 I mean, it's a terrible story.

02:06:43.000 But Dan Friedberg was also the general counsel for FTX.

02:06:47.000 Ultimate Bets was a $40 million poker scam back in the early 2000s before Black Friday.

02:06:53.000 And he was involved in it and didn't even lose his license to practice in the state of New York.

02:06:58.000 They just redid the whole entire scandal on FTX.

02:07:03.000 So if you look at it, one thing Dan Freeberg did as well is create architecture and shell companies.

02:07:08.000 So creating the architecture behind FTX where everything's very confusing, you don't know where any of the money is going, that was one of the hallmarks.

02:07:15.000 The poker scam was, they created something called God Mode, right?

02:07:18.000 Where you could see the other players' cards.

02:07:21.000 The people that worked at Ultimate Bets would call up some of these professional poker players and say, hey, come play heads up with me. 0.68

02:07:27.000 Not knowing that they could see the cards and they would just take money from them.

02:08:13.000 But there was a whistleblower who actually gave a bunch of information to CZ and to Coindesk about a potential insolvency.

02:08:22.000 If you really want to get technical, What kicked all this off and started this was, uh, we sent our bill, which we were going to find out later this month, to FTX for funding.
