In this episode, we review the controversial movie "Lady of Heaven" directed by Fakhar Falkman Cazana. We talk about the controversy surrounding the movie and what the Shia community has to say about it.
00:02:07.740I mean, again, it wasn't entirely bad, but I guess when you're talking about a project that's related to Falkman Cazana, you have very high expectations.
00:02:18.960I think the story itself is what makes the movie good.
00:02:21.240But there's a lot of defaults in the movie that we're going to get into.
00:02:23.660Yeah, so I mean, I would say the first thing, for me personally, I would say this is probably the biggest objection that I had when I was watching the movie,
00:02:29.020was the fact that the Prophet and Imam Ali's face were, so they were showing the movie.
00:02:33.120Yeah, let's talk about that for a second.
00:02:34.640Obviously, within Shia, a lot of foot here of the Shia, they allow that.
00:02:39.940You'll see depictions of Ali ibn Abi Talib and stuff like that.
00:02:42.960Yeah, this is the first time I've ever been done by a Muslim person, which is very odd.
00:02:47.880It's like out of respect, you know, that's kind of the thing too.
00:02:49.460It's out of respect, you know, you refrain from showing the physical characteristics, or at least trying to depict the physical characteristics.
00:02:54.340Yeah, and I noticed at the beginning of the movie, they didn't actually show the face,
00:02:56.920and it wasn't until near the end, like the middle to the end of the movie, where they showed the face,
00:02:59.980and I'm like, wait a second, like, is this supposed to be the Prophet?
00:03:01.540Another thing was, in relation to Fakmata Zahra, herself, I feel like they could have done a better job focusing in on her story specifically.
00:03:09.700I felt like they kind of bounced around a little too much, rather than just focused on the life of Fakmata Zahra.
00:03:14.420I'm assuming that these filmmakers were so, they're so enraged in hate, that apparently these people watched it,
00:03:42.800that they didn't even talk about the story of Fatima, that they were just focused on just vilifying everyone else,
00:03:48.240because they're saying, like, come on, the whole story is about her, and who you're showing is, as far as I know, but it seems like...
00:03:54.500But, yeah, also, you know, this whole narrative of, and I'll mention it in my own video, but I'll mention it here again,
00:04:00.860of Fatima being depicted, they didn't mention it, clearly it shows that they've got, they're Shiites, right?
00:04:51.980We wouldn't have a start, it was Obama, does it happen?
00:04:54.000Yeah, that's true, like, the whole movie is called The Lady of Heaven, yet they don't really focus in much on her, which is odd.
00:04:59.300One thing that I did like about the movie is when the Prophet Siyadana put the cloak on him, Imam Ali, Fatima Tazara, and Imam Hassan Imam Hasein.
00:05:06.240So the fact that they included it at least shows the significance of that situation in relation to, like, their standing with the Prophet, their position in their religion.
00:05:13.500And I like how the grandma, they had a very, you know, very affectionate grandma that was actually sharing the story with the kid.
00:05:18.760I really like the way that they did it, it was a very good feeling.
00:05:20.440And it kind of reminds me of the way that, like, I grew up, you know, it was just, that's how it was, you kind of grow up with these notions of our imams and our Prophet, and these teachings that, they're very heartwarming.
00:05:28.080There's always a lesson for kids and grown-ups to be derived from their lives and do the things that they say and the things that they do.
00:05:32.180So overall, we're happy that the story was told.
00:05:33.960There was a lot of things that happened after the Prophet.
00:05:36.260So you're happy, okay, so you're happy that the story was told, but the story, it's like me watching Superman.
00:05:43.920No, no, it's worse than that, because at least Superman is a moral, it follows a certain structure.
