00:00:24.260 Now, what we do know and with this video, what I wanted to do is reflect upon what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said in the Qur'an.
00:00:30.200 To the angels. Because the angels questioned Allah. They asked a question.
00:00:34.740 Angels, by their nature, they do as they are told.
00:00:38.120 But some of us think that they can't really, you know, ask a question.
00:00:41.300 In this very ayah, in Surah Baqarah, verse 30, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is asked a question.

00:00:46.820 Remember, talking to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
00:00:50.800 When your Lord said to the angels, I am going to place a successive human authority on earth.
00:00:56.140 They asked Allah, will you place in it someone who will spread corruption there?
00:00:59.420 And shed blood while we glorify your praise and proclaim your holiness?
00:01:03.740 Allah responded, I know what you don't know.
00:01:08.360 He taught Adam the names of all things.
00:01:10.600 Then he presented them to the angels and said,
00:01:14.020 Tell me the names of these if what you say is true.
00:01:17.480 They replied, glory be to you.
00:01:19.340 We have no knowledge except what you have taught us.
00:01:21.500 You are truly all knowing or wise.
00:01:23.100 So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala here is teaching the angels a lesson.
00:01:26.520 Now how does this tie in with the whole war that's happening between Russia and Ukraine?
00:01:32.100 Now the thing is here, brothers and sisters,
00:01:34.020 that the angels talked about human beings and how we are by nature.
00:01:39.700 Because the khalifa that he was going to place on earth,
00:01:42.040 which this word is known for somebody who's going to carry out justice,
00:01:45.240 and you know, speak out against oppression.
00:01:46.640 So they knew what kind of creatures were going to be.
00:01:51.640 And they asked Allah a question.
00:01:53.120 Now what do we learn from this?
00:01:54.080 Very important, very small, this little subtle,
00:01:57.600 is the following.
00:01:58.560 That they said to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
00:02:00.340 We proclaim your purity.
00:02:02.540 We worship you.
00:02:03.580 We don't disobey you.
00:02:05.460 Logically, why would you want to make a creation
00:02:08.100 who's going to cause bloodshed on earth?
00:02:10.420 Now this is very important because it ties beautifully to the issue of
00:02:13.040 Satan, Shaitan, Iblis, and Adam a.s.
00:02:15.680 Because Iblis refused to bow down.
00:02:17.300 Why?
00:02:17.760 Because he logically said that I am better than him.
00:02:22.060 Now they're both, if you think about it,
00:02:23.680 using some part of their rationale to be like,
00:02:26.760 okay, this does not make sense.
00:02:28.220 However, if you look at Iblis,
00:02:29.240 Iblis fell into disbelief because he actually questioned Allah
00:02:31.720 and blamed Allah for his disbelief and his transgression.
00:02:35.960 The angels are doing the same thing.
00:02:37.160 Well, Allah responds with something which should make us all remember something.
00:02:41.180 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying that he is aware that that will happen.
00:02:45.160 Of course, he knows more than the angels that's going to happen.
00:02:47.920 But I know something you don't.
00:02:50.940 Now if you guys would maybe resonate with this,

00:02:56.420 a lot of people ask these questions.
00:02:57.440 Atheists, people don't believe in God.
00:02:58.940 If God exists, why does the bloodshed?

00:03:05.460 But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying,
00:03:07.480 I know what you don't know.
00:03:08.880 So there might be some things to us,
00:03:10.380 to our rationale, to our logic.
00:03:12.000 We're like, that doesn't make sense.
00:03:13.400 Why would God do that?
00:03:14.780 We have two options.

00:04:10.900 But you can choose to be among those
00:04:13.300 who are obedient and trust Allah
00:04:14.540 or be among those who are disobedient like Iblis
