In this episode of the podcast, we discuss the differences between Christianity and Islam, and the difference between their belief in God and belief in the Holy Qur'an. We also talk about the differences in belief between Armenians and Muslims.
00:00:26.940These are some of the drinks in my fridge, guys.
00:00:28.760Just some of them, subhanAllah, that we drink, along water and many other things, many fruits to pick from, many foods to eat from, subhanAllah.
00:00:34.740What about the people who are starving in Gaza, all around the world, who do not have food to eat?
00:00:38.820How can we make these drinks, these foods go down our throat, knowing that they are starving?
00:00:42.420I am working with the One Omar charity for their food project, guys, and they are a 100% donation policy charity.
00:00:47.740I know the brothers who run the charity and I have full trust in them.
00:00:51.040But the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, the Muslim is not the one.
00:00:53.620When his neighbor is hungry, his stomach is full.
00:00:56.280Assalamu alaikum, guys. I got approached by a lovely Armenian Christian.
00:01:40.900And, yeah. So, I would like, the difference in belief would be, we are, me are physites. So, we believe, so basically, yeah. So, basically, we believe that Jesus, his, his divine and human nature are, we can combine them into one nature, kind of.
00:01:59.040Whereas, whereas the diophysites, so like Catholic, Protestants, Orthodox.
00:02:03.820Yeah, it's separate, so it's fully human, fully divine.
00:02:05.740So you believe the divine and human nature can coexist?
00:02:08.900We believe, I think, to be fair, I might be, I might be wrong about this because it's very precise language. I don't want to, what I'm saying might be heretical, so, you know.
00:02:17.900But that's, that's like the general idea.
00:02:19.700Okay. All right. Interesting. What's your take on it? Like, let's, obviously, if I'm not mistaken, there is a bit of a hostility with Armenians towards Islam.
00:02:27.500If I'm not mistaken, there's a bit of a history.
00:02:30.020I wouldn't say, I wouldn't say Islam. I wouldn't say Islam itself.
00:03:55.880And it got me interested in just, like, reading up on it.
00:03:58.600So, yeah, um, I was more looking into, like, because, for me, to be fair, honestly, like, before, like, watching your guys' debates, like, I didn't know anything about Christianity.
00:04:28.380Yeah, and we, we were taught that Jesus is the Son of God, but when, for example, when I was watching your, um, videos, and, um, you were mentioning how can, how can, how can you have three gods, Jesus, Father, Holy Spirit.
00:04:44.760So, I looked into the Trinity, and I was doing more research on it, because I was, I was having doubts about that, and I was trying to find an explanation for it.
00:05:01.560So, Greg, I appreciate, you know, before I come here to speak, it's gonna, usually, I pray to God, and I say, oh, God, please send me sincere people.
00:05:09.440Even though I entertain them, I'm looking for sincere people who are genuine to learn, and I'll be honest with you, from, in this time, we judge from what's apparent, and I see nothing about sincerity in you.
00:05:17.360You're just genuine, you're polite, you're kind, you didn't come here insulting my religion, you didn't come insulting my prophet, you didn't come here, you know, with hostility, just genuinely came and said, look, I'll watch your videos, you're a lovely Christian man, who's come here and said, you know what, Ali, I'm a Christian, I watch your stuff, and, you know, I really appreciate and thank you for coming, because, you know what, I enjoy this conversation the most.
00:05:34.980But it's genuine and sincere, anything that I might say, forgive me if it comes across anyway, so forgive me.
00:05:39.900So, look, there's something very interesting, because we believe in something called the fitrah in Islam.
00:05:43.680Fitrah is the innate disposition, meaning your natural, original sense.
00:05:48.120You know when you get a phone, and you reset it to its factory settings?
00:05:54.320The fitrah is basically that, you know when you said, I did not know that Jesus is God until I heard it here, you was in that state of a fitrah.
00:06:03.660Meaning, you was like, hold on a second, because the reason you found it a bit strange, is because it could be that, I did not know we believe this, simultaneously, in conjunction, that, hold on a second actually, Jesus is God?
00:06:26.520Yeah, so that's why, you know why I say that with certainty, and I'm so sure of that?
00:06:30.880Because I know that any human being, for that matter, when they talk about God Almighty, to believe that he was a flesh bone like me who was born, it's far-fetched, and it doesn't befit God's nature.
00:06:42.700Now, I know Christians come and say, well, for God, all things are possible.
00:08:06.440So, we say, we do not ascribe them, because Christians come and say, in the, Jesus, in the beginning was the Father, no, in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God, yeah?
00:08:16.140So, they try to say that Jesus was there with God, or then again, contrast, because it's like, hold on a second, I thought he was God.
