00:00:00.000 As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu brothers and sisters and dear friends welcome to this video before I start I want to praise Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala the most merciful the most gracious all praises glory and gratitude belong to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for all the works that we bring
00:00:25.000 Now this video of mine is not a video that I usually do or it's an area which I would like to go personally but unfortunately within my character that I know of myself I can't tolerate injustice no matter who is done to a Muslim a non-Muslim when I see injustice done I personally cannot tolerate it and if I find and if I weigh up the good and bad of the actions or the words that I'm about to say
00:00:55.000 Then obviously if I believe that it's going to bring more good than bad I will try my best to stop that injustice with the best of my ability
00:01:03.000 With this video I thought about it a lot done istikhara three times and I deeply believed in my heart I believe an injustice was done to shakitham al-haddad
00:01:12.340 That's why I believe that with the following that I have and I don't mean to sound in an arrogant way but I have to use that following for the best of my advantage
00:01:24.340 And I believe with that following for me to clarify shakitham's position even though the sheikh himself is not aware of this video
00:01:32.340 And he himself would personally that I know him would tell me Ali
00:01:37.700 don't do the video
00:01:40.080 But I personally believe within myself that I have to do this video because I don't believe I can put my head to my pillow comfortably at night
00:01:48.980 Knowing that this injustice has been done towards a sheikh
00:01:52.040 So that's why I came to the conclusion of doing this video
00:01:54.680 Now brothers and sisters
00:01:56.160 I want to before I go through every point one by one
00:02:00.220 I want to tell you guys a bit of a background about shakitham al-haddad
00:02:03.900 So you guys know him and what kind of a character and what kind of a humble person he is
00:02:09.700 And what kind of a lovely man he is
00:02:12.620 And who has greatly benefited the ummah
00:02:16.020 The shakitham is being labelled as not being a scholar
00:02:20.180 Wallahi shakitham by his humility and his humbleness
00:02:23.700 He doesn't even care for you to call him a scholar or not
00:02:26.620 It doesn't matter
00:02:27.680 He doesn't
00:02:28.680 That's the least of his worry for you to call him a scholar or not
00:02:32.200 The issue is disrespecting somebody of high knowledge
00:02:35.380 Somebody who is old enough to be your father
00:02:37.740 You may not believe he is a scholar
00:02:39.760 But to disrespect him
00:02:41.640 Fear Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in what you are doing 1.00
00:02:43.700 This is unfair
00:02:44.840 This is injustice
00:02:45.620 So I just want to move on since we have clarified that
00:02:49.560 But alhamdulillah
00:02:50.240 Any good that comes from this video
00:02:52.180 Is from Allah
00:02:54.180 And inshallah it is for Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.98
00:02:56.180 Anything bad that comes from this video
00:02:59.180 Is from myself
00:03:01.180 And my ignorance
00:03:02.180 And from the shaitan
00:03:03.180 Now let's get straight into who is our beloved shakitham al-haddad
00:03:07.180 What's his works
00:03:08.180 Who did he study with
00:03:10.180 What has he produced for the community and for the ummah 0.80
00:03:13.180 This is very important
00:03:14.180 The first thing that I need to do
00:03:16.180 By defending the shaykh is by talking about who he is 1.00
00:03:19.180 And what he's been doing for the community inshallah
00:03:23.180 So we're going to go through that
00:03:24.180 Shaykh hitham al-haddad was born in Saudi Arabia
00:03:27.180 And he had the privilege
00:03:28.180 Alhamdulillah to study under many scholars
00:03:30.180 And some of those scholars which I'm going to mention by name
00:03:33.180 Is for example he studied under shaykh bin baas rahim Allah
00:03:37.180 The matter of fikh 0.98
00:03:39.180 And he was known as the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia at the time
00:03:43.180 He also studied with shaykh jibreen
00:03:45.180 Which is the same shaykh rahim Allah 0.96
00:03:49.180 And this is the same shaykh abdullah ibn jibreen
00:03:51.180 In a gathering of talib al-ilm 0.98
00:03:54.180 Pointed out to shaykh hitham
00:03:56.180 And said this man is alimul mukhlis 0.97
00:03:59.180 A sincere scholar
00:04:01.180 This is what the shaykh said 0.74
00:04:03.180 Not only that
00:04:04.180 Shaykh hitham al-haddad may Allah bless him
00:04:06.180 Also studied under shaykh ibn aqil
00:04:08.180 For 15 years
00:04:10.180 And in the biography of shaykh ibn aqil
00:04:12.180 He mentions that shaykh hitham was one of his senior students
00:04:16.180 Not only that
00:04:17.180 Shaykh ibn aqil gave the authority to shaykh hitham
00:04:20.180 To compile the letters that shaykh ibn aqil had
00:04:23.180 With his teacher abdurrahman al-saghadi
00:04:26.180 And shaykh hitham later on brought these letters
00:04:28.180 And compiled it in a book
00:04:29.180 And he was praised for this work
00:04:31.180 By shaykh ibn aqil
00:04:32.180 And shaykh Uthaymin rahim Allah
00:04:35.180 So we are talking about a person
00:04:37.180 Who is sincere in his knowledge
00:04:40.180 And a scholar
00:04:41.180 Now brothers and sisters
00:04:43.180 Look at the list of the scholars names that I gave
00:04:45.180 And the praises that was given to shaykh hitham al-haddad
00:04:48.180 And the works that he has been doing
00:04:51.180 Wallahi isn't it injustice in the highest degree
00:04:54.180 That you dare to look at this man
00:04:56.180 And say to him he has no knowledge
00:04:58.180 Wallahi fiya Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
00:05:00.180 In the words that come out of your mouth
00:05:02.180 There is a saying in my language
00:05:04.180 In my traditions
00:05:05.180 A word comes out of the mouth once
00:05:07.180 You can't take it back
00:05:08.180 Wallahi baya Allah 0.85
00:05:09.180 Fiya the statements that you are uttering
00:05:11.180 Anyways brothers and sisters
00:05:13.180 Let's move on a bit forward
00:05:15.180 Shaykh Hitham al-haddad also studied Sharia in Sudan
00:05:17.180 And has done many works for the youth and the community
00:05:20.180 And he has many students
00:05:22.180 Who have become imams 1.00
00:05:24.180 Leading figures in their community
00:05:27.180 Da'is out there 0.99
00:05:29.180 And these individuals come to him
00:05:31.180 For advice on a regular basis
00:05:33.180 Shaykh Hitham al-haddad is known to be a person
00:05:35.180 Who wants to bring unity in the community
00:05:37.180 He is known to do works
00:05:39.180 Travelling abroad
00:05:40.180 Going for talks
00:05:41.180 And lectures
00:05:42.180 Spending time with students
00:05:44.180 Shaykh Hitham calls the Tawheed
00:05:46.180 Now the way he calls the Tawheed
00:05:47.180 May be differ
00:05:48.180 To certain other brothers who call to Tawheed 0.77
00:05:50.180 But he calls the Tawheed
00:05:52.180 By making his students
00:05:54.180 And the people realise
00:05:55.180 That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the ultimate greatest 0.62
00:05:57.180 One that should be worshipped
00:05:59.180 And they should believe that in their heart
00:06:00.180 Since I've got this out of my chest
00:06:02.180 Alhamdulillah
00:06:03.180 I feel like I've done justice
00:06:04.180 To Shaykh Hitham al-haddad
00:06:06.180 Even though like I said before
00:06:07.180 He would not even allow me to do this video
00:06:09.180 But this is something personal to me
00:06:11.180 That I had to do
00:06:17.180 Is that brothers and sisters
00:06:20.180 The matter of student loans
00:06:23.180 Being haram or halal 1.00
00:06:24.180 Now before you guys get excited and think
00:06:26.180 Whoa brother Ali Dawood is going to give us a fatwa now
00:06:29.180 Like I said before guys
00:06:30.180 It is not my place
00:06:32.180 It is not my place
00:06:33.180 To even talk about this matter
00:06:35.180 Now I just want to clarify a few points to you guys
00:06:38.180 Of what I heard
00:06:40.180 This is not a fatwa
00:06:41.180 This is not me saying this is haram or halal
00:06:43.180 My position is I don't know
00:06:46.180 I don't know
00:06:47.180 And when I first heard it I looked into the matter
00:06:49.180 I was curious
00:06:50.180 I wanted to know
00:06:51.180 And I asked people of knowledge
00:06:53.180 From Medina University
00:06:54.180 And they told me the following
00:06:56.180 In the matter
00:06:57.180 And the reason why I am mentioning this to you
00:06:59.180 Is for you guys to understand
00:07:01.180 That
00:07:02.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:07:03.180 Is being portrayed
00:07:05.180 That he said
00:07:06.180 Riba
00:07:07.180 Is halal 0.93
00:07:08.180 Basically
00:07:09.180 Student loans
00:07:10.180 Riba is halal 1.00
00:07:11.180 And this is injustice
00:07:12.180 And this is a slander against
00:07:14.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:07:16.180 Because
00:07:17.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:07:18.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:07:19.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:07:20.180 Is the very same person
00:07:22.180 Who passed on a fatwa 0.97
00:07:24.180 To the Islamic banks 1.00
00:07:25.180 About their mortgage
00:07:27.180 Not being halal 1.00
00:07:29.180 I mean being halal 0.98
00:07:30.180 And he looked into
00:07:31.180 Alhamdulillah in death 0.98
00:07:32.180 And said
00:07:33.180 This is haram
00:07:34.180 The very Sheikh that you are accusing
00:07:36.180 That he is saying
00:07:37.180 Riba is halal apparently
00:07:39.180 Which is a slander
00:07:40.180 Which is a slander
00:07:41.180 Is the same person
00:07:43.180 Who passed on a fatwa 0.97
00:07:45.180 To the Islamic banks 1.00
00:07:47.180 That what you are doing
00:07:48.180 Is a riba
00:07:50.180 So brothers and sisters
00:07:51.180 Before we
00:07:53.180 Do a judgement
00:07:55.180 And hear some stories
00:07:56.180 And believe in it
00:07:57.180 Fear Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.98
00:07:59.180 Clarify it
00:08:00.180 And inshallah
00:08:01.180 This will make you realise
00:08:02.180 That Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:08:04.180 Will never
00:08:05.180 Say riba
00:08:06.180 Is halal 0.93
00:08:07.180 And the reason why
00:08:08.180 He would not do this
00:08:09.180 Is because
00:08:10.180 Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:08:12.180 Believes
00:08:13.180 That in his co-essence
00:08:14.180 Student loan
00:08:15.180 Is not riba
00:08:17.180 Do you understand
00:08:18.180 What I am trying to say
00:08:19.180 The Sheikh believes 0.98
00:08:20.180 I will repeat it once again
00:08:21.180 I am not seeing
00:08:22.180 Is it halal 0.94
00:08:23.180 Or haram
00:08:24.180 I am neutral
00:08:25.180 I am out of this
00:08:26.180 You believe it is haram
00:08:27.180 May Allah bless you
00:08:28.180 You have that right
00:08:29.180 Alhamdulillah
00:08:30.180 You believe it is halal 0.99
00:08:31.180 You have that opinion
00:08:32.180 That's quality backing up
00:08:33.180 Good on you
00:08:34.180 But what we are trying to see
00:08:36.180 Is Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad
00:08:37.180 In his essence
00:08:38.180 Says this is not
00:08:39.180 Riba transaction
00:08:41.180 Now
00:08:42.180 Let's say
00:08:43.180 We put Sheikh Haitham al-Haddad 0.83
00:08:44.180 To her side
00:08:45.180 May Allah bless him
00:08:46.180 This is the following things
00:08:48.180 That I have heard
00:08:49.180 From a couple of people
00:08:50.180 From major scholars
00:08:52.180 In Saudi Arabia
00:08:53.180 And I am going to mention the names
00:08:55.180 So you guys can
00:08:56.180 Have that judgement to yourself
00:08:58.180 Because this
00:08:59.180 Was brought up to
00:09:00.180 These scholars
00:09:01.180 And asked
00:09:02.180 If this is the case
00:09:03.180 Right
00:09:04.180 And once again I repeat
00:09:05.180 We are not saying
00:09:06.180 Is Riba halal 0.91
00:09:07.180 That is a silly thing to ask
00:09:09.180 You know 0.96
00:09:10.180 That's a really silly thing to ask 0.68
00:09:11.180 That's what we are going to say
00:09:12.180 Is Zina halal 0.97
00:09:14.180 Of course
00:09:15.180 Whoever you ask this Sheikh 0.86
00:09:17.180 Like if you go to
00:09:18.180 Sheikh Haitham
00:09:19.180 And ask him
00:09:20.180 For example
00:09:21.180 A question
00:09:22.180 That was asked
00:09:23.180 To another Sheikh 1.00
00:09:24.180 If that was asked
00:09:25.180 Sheikh Haitham would say
00:09:26.180 This is Riba
00:09:27.180 But
00:09:28.180 What we are trying to say
00:09:29.180 Is 0.88
00:09:30.180 That the Sheikh doesn't believe
00:09:31.180 In its essence
00:09:32.180 Now I am going to name you
00:09:33.180 The following
00:09:34.180 Which I heard
00:09:35.180 From a student
00:09:36.180 Of Medina University
00:09:37.180 Which I do not want to mention
00:09:38.180 By name
00:09:39.180 Is the following
00:09:40.180 He said
00:09:41.180 He went and asked
00:09:42.180 Sheikh Mohammed
00:09:43.180 Ba Bakr
00:09:44.180 Who is the head
00:09:45.180 Of Islamic 0.84
00:09:46.180 Finances
00:09:47.180 In Medina University
00:09:48.180 And he asked him
00:09:49.180 This question
00:09:50.180 And he was told
00:09:52.180 That this is
00:09:53.180 Not Riba
00:09:54.180 This is not Riba
00:09:55.180 Head of
00:09:56.180 Islamic
00:09:57.180 Economics
00:09:58.180 In the Medina University
00:09:59.180 This is not someone
00:10:01.180 This is not your
00:10:02.180 Tom Dick and Hari
00:10:03.180 This is not
00:10:04.180 A normal person
00:10:05.180 This is what he said
00:10:06.180 Now once again
00:10:07.180 I repeat
00:10:08.180 I am not saying this halal 1.00
00:10:09.180 I am not saying this haram
00:10:10.180 I am just trying to make you guys
00:10:11.180 Understand
00:10:12.180 The matter is not
00:10:13.180 Clear cut
00:10:14.180 For me
00:10:15.180 It's not even
00:10:16.180 Who else was asked?
00:10:17.180 Sheikh Muhtar Shankiti
00:10:18.180 Was also asked
00:10:19.180 And he is one of the biggest
00:10:20.180 Scholars in Medina
00:10:21.180 And
00:10:22.180 His biggest student
00:10:23.180 Sheikh
00:10:24.180 His biggest student
00:10:25.180 Muhammad Rashid
00:10:26.180 Was asked
00:10:27.180 Who is a special
00:10:28.180 Islamic finances
00:10:29.180 Said this is not Riba
00:10:30.180 Who else was asked?
00:10:31.180 This brother went
00:10:32.180 And also asked
00:10:33.180 Asked
00:10:34.180 Sheikh Abdul Al Aziz
00:10:35.180 Hujayri
00:10:36.180 And
00:10:37.180 He said the following
00:10:38.180 That it's
00:10:39.180 Not Riba
00:10:40.180 Or the Riba
00:10:41.180 Is not clear cut
00:10:42.180 Not only that
00:10:43.180 Also
00:10:44.180 Sheikh Haytham Al Haddad's
00:10:45.180 Teacher
00:10:46.180 Sheikh Ibn Jibril
00:10:47.180 And one of his biggest students
00:10:49.180 Which is
00:10:50.180 Muhammad Nasir Shuhaybani
00:10:51.180 Was asked about
00:10:52.180 This very matter
00:10:53.180 And
00:10:54.180 He said
00:10:55.180 The Riba
00:10:56.180 Here is not clear cut
00:10:57.180 Now
00:10:58.180 Once again I repeat
00:10:59.180 This is what
00:11:00.180 Has been conveyed to me
00:11:01.180 When I was looking at
00:11:02.180 The matter
00:11:03.180 And I'm conveying it to you
00:11:04.180 I am not saying
00:11:05.180 It's halal 0.99
00:11:06.180 I am not saying
00:11:07.180 It's haram
00:11:08.180 I
00:11:09.180 Don't
00:11:10.180 Know
00:11:11.180 All I want to say to you guys
00:11:12.180 Is the matter
00:11:13.180 Is not clear cut
00:11:14.180 Even if you put
00:11:15.180 Sheikh Haytham
00:11:16.180 May Allah bless him to his side
00:11:17.180 And go to these scholars
00:11:18.180 This is what
00:11:19.180 They have said
00:11:20.180 Now you know what
00:11:21.180 The funny thing is guys
00:11:22.180 It also depends on
00:11:23.180 How the question is asked
00:11:24.180 Because a funny story has happened
00:11:26.180 Which was conveyed to me
00:11:27.180 That
00:11:28.180 A
00:11:29.180 Brother who believes
00:11:31.180 That student
00:11:32.180 Known is
00:11:33.180 Riba
00:11:34.180 Went to a scholar
00:11:35.180 Which
00:11:36.180 The brother cannot remember
00:11:38.180 Went to the scholar
00:11:39.180 And asked him about this
00:11:40.180 And the scholar
00:11:41.180 Immediately said
00:11:42.180 This is Riba
00:11:43.180 Straight up
00:11:44.180 And
00:11:45.180 A brother
00:11:46.180 Who doesn't want to be named
00:11:48.180 Went to the same sheikh 1.00
00:11:50.180 And asked him about
00:11:51.180 The student loan
00:11:52.180 And you know what
00:11:53.180 The sheikh said
00:11:54.180 He said
00:11:55.180 Anybody that says
00:11:56.180 This is Riba
00:11:57.180 Is Jahil
00:11:58.180 Is Jahil 0.98
00:11:59.180 Is ignorant 0.99
00:12:00.180 Like if he says 1.00
00:12:01.180 If he says
00:12:02.180 I correct myself
00:12:03.180 If he says
00:12:04.180 This is clear cut
00:12:05.180 Riba
00:12:06.180 Is Jahil
00:12:07.180 One person goes
00:12:09.180 And explains it in a way
00:12:11.180 It's Riba
00:12:12.180 Another person goes
00:12:13.180 And explains it
00:12:14.180 It's
00:12:15.180 He's being called
00:12:16.180 The Jahil
00:12:17.180 Now brothers and sisters
00:12:18.180 Do you understand
00:12:19.180 What we're trying to say here
00:12:20.180 This is the matter at hand
00:12:22.180 So that's why
00:12:23.180 It's sad
00:12:24.180 For a lame man
00:12:25.180 Or any of us 0.52
00:12:26.180 To go in a mad
00:12:27.180 That's why
00:12:29.180 People are going to say
00:12:30.180 It's Riba
00:12:31.180 It's Haram 0.89
00:12:32.180 That's Haram 0.99
00:12:33.180 So brothers and sisters
00:12:34.180 Before I finish
00:12:35.180 Before I finish
00:12:36.180 I just want to say something
00:12:38.180 I just want to say
00:12:39.180 Shame on those 0.73
00:12:40.180 Shame on those 0.73
00:12:41.180 Who look for the fault of another believer 0.99
00:12:43.180 And try to stay in his image
00:12:45.180 Fear Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in your dealings 1.00
00:12:48.180 Fear Allah in your dealings 0.99
00:12:49.180 Fear Allah in your dealings 0.99
00:12:51.180 Wallahi if you try to look for the fault of other people
00:12:54.180 Other believers
00:12:55.180 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will find your very own fault 1.00
00:12:56.180 Like at the beginning of the video
00:12:58.180 A quote
00:12:59.180 A narration that we put up
00:13:00.180 By our Prophet Muhammad
00:13:01.180 Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
00:13:02.180 Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
00:13:04.180 So brothers and sisters
00:13:06.180 Let's be careful in what we do
00:13:08.180 Let's be careful in how we act
00:13:10.180 And let's be careful
00:13:11.180 At the words that come out of our mouth
00:13:13.180 Now when asking things to scholars
00:13:15.180 We need to ask it the right way
00:13:17.180 If we have an agenda in our heart
00:13:19.180 We're like you know what
00:13:20.180 Let's ask it in this manner
00:13:21.180 So he can give us this ruling
00:13:22.180 And then we can
00:13:23.180 Like seriously?
00:13:24.180 Can you imagine if there is
00:13:26.180 0.00001% of alcohol in my orange juice
00:13:30.180 So I'm thinking
00:13:31.180 Can I drink it?
00:13:33.180 Can I drink it?
00:13:34.180 If I say you know what
00:13:36.180 No I can drink it for example
00:13:37.180 And somebody goes
00:13:38.180 No you can't
00:13:39.180 You're drinking alcohol
00:13:40.180 Yeah?
00:13:41.180 And he says you know what
00:13:42.180 I'm gonna go and ask my teacher
00:13:43.180 He goes to his teacher and he says
00:13:45.180 Aki 0.90
00:13:46.180 No sorry sorry
00:13:47.180 He goes to his teacher and says
00:13:48.180 Ya sheikh
00:13:49.180 Is alcoholic drinks permissible?
00:13:53.180 The sheikh's gonna say 0.52
00:13:54.180 It's haram
00:13:55.180 But did you explain in detail
00:13:57.180 Did you say it's an orange juice
00:13:58.180 That has 0.001% of alcohol in it?
00:14:01.180 No!
00:14:02.180 You're going and conveying the message
00:14:03.180 To a sheikh 1.00
00:14:04.180 Who doesn't know
00:14:05.180 What's going on
00:14:06.180 And explain it to him and saying
00:14:07.180 Is alcoholic drinks permissible?
00:14:08.180 The sheikh's gonna look at you and say 0.98
00:14:10.180 Of course it's not permissible
00:14:11.180 On top of that
00:14:12.180 If you go and say
00:14:13.180 Oh but there's this scholar
00:14:14.180 Who says it's permissible
00:14:15.180 He's gonna say
00:14:16.180 That scholar
00:14:17.180 What kind of scholar is he's lost his mind?
00:14:18.180 That's injustice
00:14:19.180 And every student of knowledge knows
00:14:21.180 That when you ask a question to a sheikh 1.00
00:14:24.180 Based on the information you give
00:14:26.180 Is how the answer and the ruling comes to you
00:14:29.180 The fatwa is given to you 1.00
00:14:30.180 That's why brothers and sisters
00:14:32.180 I ask everyone to inshaAllah share this video
00:14:36.180 Before you do also check the link
00:14:38.180 If you want to know more about your religion

00:14:56.180 Forgive me if I've hurt anyone
00:14:58.180 My aim with this video
00:15:00.180 Is not to hurt anyone in any shape or form
00:15:03.180 But I felt the duty upon me to defend the sheikh 0.99
00:15:05.180 And alhamdulillah
00:15:06.180 I'm happy with what I've done
00:15:08.180 And may Allah accept it from me
00:15:09.180 And I don't want to go back and forth with anyone
00:15:12.180 InshaAllah my next video will be
