00:01:03.820 Now, this question that we know that many people, they just come forward to answer by, you know,

00:01:13.420 The one who doesn't pray, their fasting is valid.
00:01:17.020 And someone put themselves as well forward to say, no, the one who is not fasting is invalid.
00:01:22.040 And both sides, they have kind of a point, but we need to understand these things is not yes and no question.
00:01:27.580 We need to understand the fundamentals behind it.
00:01:31.080 We need to know is the salah is a condition for the one, for the validity of the fasting or not.
00:01:38.900 That's a key thing.
00:01:40.180 Because if we say fasting will be invalid if the person doesn't pray, that means the salah is a condition for fasting.
00:01:49.180 And that's why we need to understand where this principle came from and what's the root of this principle.
00:01:54.840 Now, this goes back to the point where if the salah now is a, if the salah, if the one who leaves the salah is a Muslim or not a Muslim,
00:02:04.320 and that matter is debated by scholars of Islam.
00:02:07.440 Now, I will present certain hadith that the first hadith that the Prophet ï·º, he says,
00:02:12.580 There is nothing between the person and the shirk or kufr or disbelief, except living the salah.
00:02:22.960 Whoever left the salah is a committed a kufr.
00:02:26.500 And as well, he said,
00:02:27.620 The salah is like a covenant between us and them.
00:02:36.540 Whoever left the salah, abandoned the salah, is a committed a kufr.
00:02:40.120 And that's why we'll find some of the salaf, some of the sahaba and the salaf, and the tabi'een, generally the tabi'een and the salaf, generally.
00:02:50.400 And there is a statement by Imam Ahmed, rahimahullah, that the one who leaves the salah,
00:02:54.760 whether he leaves the salah out of laziness, whether he leaves the salah out of whatever reason he leaves the salah,
00:03:01.380 is a kufr, is out of the fault of Islam.
00:03:02.960 Now, if the person believes, if the person believes, and these scholars, respected scholars,
00:03:09.060 and there are many as well, scholars of Islam believe this, including there are statements by Shaykh al-Islam in Taymiyyah,
00:03:14.140 by Ibn al-Qayyim, rahimahullah.
00:03:15.500 And there is Ibn al-Qayyim, rahimahullah, he was talking about even this particular case.

00:03:44.020 Now, the question is, does that apply to the, what about the other ahadith?
00:03:48.080 And now we'll come to this ahadith.
00:03:49.660 The first ahadith which I'll be bringing, is the ahadith of the Prophet ï·º,
00:03:53.480 where he stated,
00:03:55.460 that the first thing that the person will be questioning in the Day of Judgment is his prayer.
00:04:05.960 Then if his salah is correct, then he's going to be amongst the successful ones.
00:04:11.720 If there is some deficiency in that salah,
00:04:14.800 then Allah will say to the angel, see if my servant has involuntary deeds.
00:04:20.440 And these voluntary deeds will be replaced with the,
00:04:24.400 which is like the voluntary prayer,
00:04:26.300 will be replaced with the deficiency that he has missed.
00:04:28.820 And it will be done with all of his other obligations in Islam.
00:04:32.540 Now, that ahadith that shows the one who leaves sometimes the salah here and there,
00:04:36.140 or he has deficiency in his salah,
00:04:37.900 we say there is no making up for the one who deliberately leaves the salah.
00:04:40.640 There is no making up for that salah.
00:04:42.400 But we will say to the person to do more voluntary deeds.
00:04:44.980 That's why we say, you know,
00:04:46.460 that if the person left one salah or two salah in his life,
00:04:48.680 we don't say that you could do qadah.
00:04:50.680 There is no qadah if you deliberately lift the salah.
00:04:53.020 You have to go back to do more voluntary deeds,
00:04:56.400 and to do more of the voluntary prayer,
00:04:58.200 in order to replace the salah that you missed.
00:05:00.400 Maybe Allah will replace it in the Day of Judgment,
00:05:02.600 to gain forgiveness from Allah.
00:05:04.040 So that's why to say, to do, to tawbah to Allah,
00:05:06.940 to repent to Allah,
00:05:07.640 and to do istighfar, to do islah, to rectify,
00:05:11.420 and to follow the evil deeds with righteous deeds,
00:05:13.400 and that includes the voluntary prayer.
00:05:14.700 Now, another hadith that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
00:05:17.860 which he says, alayhi salatu wa sallam,
00:05:20.860 that in the Day of Judgment,
00:05:22.680 a person will be brought to Allah t'baraka wa ta'ala,
00:05:25.220 and then Allah will ask him,
00:05:27.460 and then he has 99 scrolls,
00:05:29.400 99 scrolls of evil deeds.
00:05:31.320 99, not one, 99.
00:05:33.160 And each scroll, as far as his sight could see,
00:05:36.220 in the Day of Judgment,
00:05:37.180 all the way to the end,
00:05:38.880 and not one, 99 of them.
00:05:40.540 All evil deeds.
00:05:41.540 Then Allah will say to the person,
00:05:43.420 do you have any good deeds?
00:05:45.260 Then he will say,
00:05:45.880 no, Allah, I haven't done anything good.
00:05:48.520 And then Allah will say to him,
00:05:50.440 and today will be not wronged,
00:05:51.680 you will be not oppressed.
00:05:52.860 And it will be brought a bitaqa,
00:05:54.580 which is called Hadith al-Bitaqa,
00:05:55.460 it will be brought to him a card,
00:05:56.620 this authenticated by Sheikh al-Albani,
00:05:58.000 it will be brought to him a bitaqa,

00:06:01.540 that he has done la ilaha illallah,
00:06:02.500 Allah is sincerely from his heart.

00:06:10.200 Allah will overweigh all these 99 scrolls of evil deeds.

00:06:16.000 you have to bring the conditions of la ilaha illallah,
