00:00:00.000 Ambassador, I will say frankly I'm one of the people who thinks you should be expelled from this country
00:00:04.700 and I believe that it's to do with the policies of your state.
00:00:08.040 If I was Jewish and had never stepped foot in Israel, I could claim citizenship there tomorrow, 0.85
00:00:12.900 but 6 million people whose origins are in what you now call Israel,
00:00:17.780 who were forced out in 1947 or 1948, do not have that right.
00:00:21.580 Isn't that part of the reason why the Palestinians are in dispute with Israelis?
00:00:24.760 Because you deny them the right to return to their homes and to their land and to their villages
00:00:29.100 and that they have a legitimate claim, even under international law, to return,
00:00:33.560 but you deny them that right.
00:00:35.240 Why do you deny them that right?
00:00:37.080 And why do you give that right to other people who have no connection whatsoever with the land,
00:00:41.880 whether you call it Israel or whether you call it Palestine?
00:00:44.560 Why do you continue to seize land if you're serious about Oslo and the two-state solution,
00:00:49.940 which under that agreement is land designated to be Palestinian land?
00:00:53.680 500,000 people, most of which has taken place since Oslo.
00:00:57.800 You allow that to happen.
00:00:59.300 Why do you allow it to happen if you're serious about giving this land to the Palestinians? 0.99
00:01:03.440 It's absolutely extraordinary. 1.00
00:01:05.380 Are you not just taking us, Ambassador, for idiots that you can say with a straight face, 1.00
00:01:10.160 we're serious about peace, but while we're serious about peace, 1.00
00:01:13.540 we're going to seize Palestinian land. 0.93
00:01:15.260 And you expect the Palestinians to sit back and do nothing about that. 0.98
00:01:18.420 Now you know what the Palestinian people have been asking for,
00:01:21.240 far less even than some people would ask for,
00:01:23.760 because I believe the whole apartheid system should be dismantled.
00:01:28.160 But what they've asked for is to lift the siege of Gaza.
00:01:31.160 Just to lift the siege of Gaza.
00:01:32.560 Let them have an airport.
00:01:33.800 Let them have ports. 0.89
00:01:35.600 Let them not be dictated to by a government for whom they do not vote
00:01:39.440 as to what can go in and out of their territories,
00:01:42.460 whether they will have power,
00:01:43.920 whether they will have clean water,
00:01:45.580 whether they will have medicine.
00:01:46.680 What makes you think you're allowed to have nuclear weapons
00:01:49.240 and the fourth biggest army in the world
00:01:51.040 and visit destruction on the people of Gaza?
00:01:55.080 But they have no right to defend themselves.
00:01:57.100 They have no territorial sovereignty over that land.
00:02:00.100 Would you ask questions, please?
00:02:01.120 How do you justify that?
00:02:04.380 How do you justify those double standards?
00:02:07.880 Very lastly, Ambassador,
00:02:09.260 people like Bishop Tutu, Nelson Mandela,
00:02:11.780 and I would certainly describe your state as an apartheid state 1.00
00:02:16.060 with different laws for people depending on their race or religion.
00:02:20.300 For example, at checkpoints, going into the West Bank,
00:02:23.360 there's a channel if you're Israeli or European
00:02:25.720 and there's a channel if you're Arab.
00:02:27.800 Just because you're Arab. 1.00
00:02:28.760 If you came into Dáil Éireann
00:02:30.080 and they stopped you and said,
00:02:31.280 are you Jewish?
00:02:32.040 Oh no, sir, you can't come in through the same entrance 0.97
00:02:34.460 as Irish people or European people because you're Jewish. 0.90
00:02:38.780 You would call that racism and apartheid.
00:02:40.820 You practice that with your checkpoints
00:02:42.580 and your military barriers and your apartheid wall.
00:02:46.540 How can you justify that?
