Ali Dawah - THE MOST IMPORTANT 10 DAYS IN ISLAM

00:00:00.000 So for today's talk, inshallah, we're going to be taking a break from our series that we started on living Islam and learning our Aqidah.

00:00:09.880 And the reason why we're going to be taking a break is because there's a very important season that's about to enter upon us as Muslims.

00:00:19.280 Possibly this time tomorrow could be the first night of Dhul Hijjah. 0.98

00:00:23.660 So the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah is something of great importance to us as Muslims.

00:00:31.060 And today, inshallah, we're going to be looking at that, looking at some of its virtues, some of its importance,

00:00:36.480 and at the same time, some of the recommending acts that we can do whilst we are here not performing Hajj, as many of us, that's going to be the case.

00:00:45.740 So, before we start, in reality, it's something that we should all be grateful for.

00:00:55.560 And me in particular, I'm grateful to Allah that He has guided us to this knowledge.

00:00:59.720 Because you find when it comes to Dhul Hijjah and its importance, many people are heedless of this.

00:01:08.100 And it's unfortunate, because these are the best 10 days in the sight of Allah, of the whole year. 0.85

00:01:14.240 So, this is a very important season that we are about to enter.

00:01:20.200 At the same time, you find culturally, these days are slept on unless you are actually making Hajj. 0.58

00:01:28.500 If you're making Hajj, then of course they're important. 0.87

00:01:31.360 But if you're not making Hajj, you stay here at home, then you find that these days are just normal days. 1.00

00:01:37.040 And the most that some people will do will sacrifice.

00:01:39.440 But there's no real knowledge and no real spiritual connection to these days and their importance.

00:01:48.640 So, the first thing we need to look at is what Hajj actually is.

00:01:54.880 And we find that it's from Allah's many blessings upon us,

00:01:58.680 that He has made Hajj as part of our lives on an annual basis.

00:02:04.820 And we find that Hajj is this amazing institute that Allah has placed in our lives,

00:02:13.780 and it has many goals and objectives that He wishes to fulfill.

00:02:19.360 From the most important goals is that it's an opportunity for us to strengthen our relationship with Allah.

00:02:27.480 It's an opportunity for us to cleanse our souls and become better people.

00:02:33.000 And you find that the way that Allah does this is that He introduces many different acts of worship into our lives in these first 10 days.

00:02:42.820 And at the same time, He revives many different acts of worship that we already know and that we're already practicing throughout the year.

00:02:51.700 But He puts emphasis in these first 10 days.

00:02:57.920 And He places, and He makes it that if we do these deeds, He gives us many, many rewards.

00:03:07.900 From these lessons that we learn and from the ibadat that we perform in the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah,

00:03:14.020 and particularly at the time of Hajj, is learning the correct belief about Allah.

00:03:19.900 That we leave everything to worship Him and Him alone and sacrifice everything that we can.

00:03:25.960 And every aspect of Hajj, we learn about the oneness of Allah.

00:03:36.480 And we follow many of the rituals that they place there for us.

00:03:42.740 Or we learn about the actual ibadat in particular, like the talbiya for an example.

00:03:49.780 Every aspect of Hajj teaches us about the oneness of Allah.

00:04:51.220 So you find that we sometimes may intend and we may think this is the time,

00:04:59.820 that's it, I'm going for Hajj, I'm going to do this deed.

00:05:04.000 And sometimes it's not our time to go and fulfill these ibadat.

00:05:08.740 Sometimes it may be that we are not spiritually ready and it takes time.

00:05:12.380 From the lessons that we learn from Hajj is making the dhikr of Allah, remembering Allah frequently. 0.89

00:05:20.340 From those lessons is having a tawakkul, complete and perfect reliance upon Allah.

00:05:27.540 Where you find when somebody embarks upon that journey, he is literally in the hands of Allah.

00:10:16.080 Before that we find, subhanAllah, there are many people that were preparing to go for Hajj or preparing to do ibadat here at home.

00:10:34.860 So just the fact that we are alive and He has given us this opportunity to benefit from these days.

00:10:56.520 He has placed Masjid al-Haram, his house there.

00:11:11.800 He has chosen other Masjid and made them the best places.

00:11:21.900 And He has given them that great virtue of being called his house.

00:11:25.540 Where its purpose is to establish his worship in many different ways.

00:11:33.980 Where he's actually worshipped the people gathered together to worship him.

00:11:39.140 So Allah chooses whatsoever He wills.
