00:00:00.660 Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh brothers and sisters and dear friends
00:00:03.340 I'm not going to hold you guys much long, just a couple of minutes
00:00:06.580 Very important, there is rumours going that there might be an absolute lockdown within 48 hours
00:00:12.040 What this means is that everybody is going to be told, just as they did in Italy, in Spain and different parts of the world
00:00:19.080 To stay in, nobody's coming out, unless necessary, of course
00:00:23.760 Now brothers and sisters, there's a lot of things to be learned from this
00:00:26.580 I'm going to keep this very simple and short
00:00:28.300 This is a very, very urgent message, not because there's a lockdown happening in 48 hours
00:00:32.500 But there's a bigger, bigger thing that we all have to understand
00:00:36.420 And this might sound a bit cliche, but it's fundamental for us to understand this
00:00:40.820 A lot of the times, we are told that when it comes to obligations as Muslims that we should do
00:00:46.380 We are told, for example, sometimes we'll say, you know what, I'm busy to pray
00:00:50.380 I've got children, etc, it's hard, I need to earn money, I don't have a break
00:00:55.820 I need to go and do this and do that, I'm not feeling well, etc
00:01:00.780 I'll pray later, I'll make it up
00:01:02.440 All of these excuses
00:01:03.940 Listen to me carefully
00:01:05.460 Very, very carefully
00:01:06.960 This is a reminder to myself first
00:01:09.620 All of those factors
00:01:11.800 Work, this, that, shopping, etc
00:01:14.580 Right now in 48 hours, what that means is going to be an absolute lockdown
00:01:19.800 And what that means is that we're all going to be in our own houses with our family members
00:01:25.500 Which I've done a video in Salaam, which you guys should check out
00:01:28.260 About kinship
00:01:29.740 This has also forced us to be in our family houses with our own family members
00:01:33.380 To fix kinship
00:01:34.580 But that's another issue
00:01:35.760 What's really important is that when we're going to be in our houses
00:01:38.620 There is none of these excuses
00:01:40.540 I have to go work
00:01:41.600 Yeah, I have to wake up in the morning
00:01:43.680 I'm going to be busy with this and that and blah blah blah
00:01:46.060 All those excuses are gone
00:01:47.780 Now the question that needs to be asked is the following
00:01:51.460 For those who are not praying
00:01:52.900 And for those who are not doing their obligations
00:01:55.100 All those excuses, external excuses and influences are gone
00:02:00.880 You are at home with your family members
00:02:03.920 Maybe for the next two weeks
00:02:05.560 Maybe for a month
00:02:06.720 Maybe for two months
00:02:07.600 Maybe for three months
00:02:08.600 We do not know
00:02:10.000 Now if you have come to the realisation
00:02:12.760 That you're still not praying
00:02:16.220 When you're at home
00:02:17.800 Then the question that needs to be asked is the following
00:02:20.460 Was it really the early morning shifts
00:02:23.320 The late night shifts
00:02:24.720 The money that you had to provide
00:02:26.540 Which is coming from Allah anyways 0.99
00:02:27.880 As an excuse not to pray
00:02:29.340 Kids, family, this that, mum and dad have to do this
00:02:32.440 Football, etc, blah blah
00:02:33.760 Catching out with the girls 0.81
00:02:34.740 Or is it that there's something internal going on that's preventing you from praying
00:02:41.240 Because all these factors have stopped now
00:02:43.160 So that means you have no excuse not to pray
00:02:45.760 And if you're not praying
00:02:47.560 That means all of those external things were nothing but an excuse
00:02:53.420 Brothers and sisters
00:02:55.440 This is fundamental
00:02:56.420 This is so important for us to realise this
00:02:59.360 At Salam, our organisation
00:03:01.780 We really want to convey this message to you guys
00:03:05.220 Please for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala 0.99
00:03:07.680 Realise
00:03:09.020 Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says
00:03:10.460 That we send a smaller calamity before the greater one
00:03:14.500 Meaning this small thing that's come
00:03:16.580 This virus
00:03:17.060 God knows what it's going to do
00:03:17.940 How many people it's going to kill
00:03:18.920 We don't know
00:03:19.640 We're not trying to scare people
00:03:20.560 We have to have a trust in Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
00:03:22.400 In 1990 there was a same issue that happened in Spain
00:03:26.800 And it killed 30 million people
00:03:28.320 May Allah protect us from that
00:03:29.560 However, this is a realisation for us all
00:03:32.620 To understand that Allah is the one that's in control 1.00
00:03:35.700 Return back to Him
00:03:38.060 At this time if you're in your houses
00:03:40.640 Please, please, please
00:03:41.880 If you are not turning to your Lord
00:03:43.480 If you're not praying
00:03:44.700 Doing istighfar
00:03:45.900 Giving in charity
00:03:47.040 Whatever it may be
00:03:48.280 Being kind to your spouses
00:03:49.600 Whatever it may be
00:03:50.500 Do good deeds towards Him
00:03:51.840 Reading the Quran
00:03:52.540 Reflecting
00:03:53.340 Reading the Hadith
00:03:54.380 If you're not doing this
00:03:56.560 Brothers and sisters
00:03:57.260 Have no doubt
00:03:58.340 That all those other excuses
00:04:00.760 Those factors that you thought
00:04:02.020 Were stopping you from doing good deeds
00:04:03.500 Or getting close to Allah
00:04:04.320 Was nothing but an absolute excuse
00:04:06.580 That Allah has moved out of the way 1.00
00:04:08.440 And you're in your houses
00:04:09.660 You have for nothing to do
00:04:11.340 But reflect
00:04:12.440 You're working at home
00:04:13.640 Now it's time to reflect
00:04:14.580 And at these times
00:04:15.900 If we do not change
00:04:17.680 Wallahi
00:04:18.300 I do not know what else can change us
00:04:20.840 Wallahi
00:04:21.580 If you're not going to change
00:04:22.960 At this moment in time
00:04:23.800 I don't know what else can change
00:04:25.520 It's a reminder from me to you
00:04:27.440 As Allah SWT says in the Quran
00:04:29.080 Reminder benefits a believer 1.00
00:04:32.340 Brothers and sisters
00:04:33.980 Please
00:04:34.940 Let's use this
00:04:36.800 We don't know if this will be the
00:04:38.500 Last time
00:04:39.600 We see each other
00:04:40.540 We don't know
00:04:41.060 Anything can happen
00:04:41.840 So please
00:04:42.960 Turn to Salah 0.92
00:04:44.200 Turn back to your Lord
00:04:45.480 Like Umar ibn Khattab said
00:04:46.680 And I'll finish on this
00:04:47.480 Allah SWT 0.93
00:04:49.000 Raised this nation
00:04:50.020 This Ummah
00:04:50.620 With the Quran and the Sunnah 0.99
00:04:52.060 And if we turn our backs on it
00:04:54.200 Allah will humiliate us 1.00
00:04:55.840 So brothers and sisters
00:04:57.480 Hope this virus
00:04:58.760 Goes away
00:04:59.880 And we're all protected
00:05:00.920 Especially our elderly
00:05:01.800 But
00:05:02.940 Just reflect
00:05:04.060 Because you have no other choice
00:05:06.240 But because you've got a long
00:05:07.980 Couple of days or weeks or months
00:05:09.580 Of reflection
00:05:10.780 Do some
00:05:12.300 Tadabbur
00:05:13.060 Indeed it might be a key
00:05:15.440 That will save you
00:05:16.760 Assalamualaikum
