00:00:01.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Boo!
00:00:02.000 Wow!
00:00:03.000 Look at that pin!
00:00:24.000 Did you see that?
00:00:25.000 He has an Israel lapel pin.
00:00:27.000 Israel flag.
00:00:28.000 That's crazy.
00:00:29.000 Oh.
00:00:48.000 So tonight, these candidates have a big opportunity to break out of the pack and to explain why they are best prepared to be the Republican choice for president, at a time when the likely Democrat nominee, President Joe Biden, is working to convince the country that with Bidenomics, things are looking up.
00:01:08.000 They call my plan Bidenomics.
00:01:11.000 I'm not sure they meant it in a totally complimentary way at the time.
00:01:16.000 But guess what?
00:01:19.000 But, is it?
00:01:22.000 More than 65% of Americans say the country is headed in the wrong direction.
00:01:27.000 And here's the reality for some voters we talked to here in Wisconsin this week.
00:01:32.000 We have noticed a dramatic increase in prices at the grocery store just across the board.
00:01:38.000 It's tough when you got mortgage rates at 70% versus 2 to 3.
00:01:41.000 It's just, you can't afford a house anymore.
00:01:44.000 No!
00:01:44.000 No!
00:01:44.000 Come on!
00:02:03.000 Oh my gosh.
00:02:04.000 That's crazy.
00:02:22.000 There's rich men all for rich men Lord knows they all just wanna have total control This is insane Wanna know what you think Wanna know what you do And they don't think you know But I know that you do Cause your dollar ain't shit And it's taxed to no end All for rich men All for rich men
00:02:47.000 Seriously?
00:02:47.000 Oh my gosh!
00:02:48.000 No way!
00:02:49.000 That's crazy.
00:03:11.000 Fake crowd.
00:03:12.000 Crowd is fake.
00:03:13.000 What's going on with this?
00:03:14.000 Hunter Biden.
00:03:14.000 Bingo.
00:03:34.000 We also cannot succeed when the Congress spends trillions and trillions of dollars.
00:03:40.000 Those rich men north of Richmond have put us in this situation.
00:03:44.000 And finally, we need to lower your gas prices.
00:03:47.000 We're gonna open up all energy production.
00:03:50.000 We will be energy dominant again in this country.
00:03:55.000 Okay, Rumble.
00:03:56.000 What's going on, Rumble?
00:03:57.000 I pledge to you...
00:04:02.000 As your president, we will get the job done, and I will not let you down.
00:04:08.000 Look at that smile after.
00:04:09.000 What was that?
00:04:11.000 I will not let you down.
00:04:12.000 ...with Governor DeSantis just said there, and why would you be better on the economy... That was weird.
00:04:17.000 ...than him?
00:04:18.000 Well, look, I do agree predominantly with what Governor DeSantis just laid out, and I think that if you asked every one of us up here, that we would agree predominantly with what he just laid out.
00:04:27.000 Here's the difference.
00:04:29.000 The difference is that we're going to have to work and make sure that we sell these ideas, and be able to put ourselves in a position where we get a majority of the vote, not only by winning the Congress and the Senate,
00:04:44.000 In
00:05:04.000 Oh, boy.
00:05:04.000 This is gonna suck, honestly.
00:05:21.000 Truth and accountability are the things we need to do to fight waste.
00:05:25.000 And I'd say the last thing is this, Brad.
00:05:27.000 We cannot sit by any longer and allow the kind of spending that's going on in Washington, because every dollar they spend is a dollar that these people are not allowed to spend on their children and their grandchildren.
00:05:40.000 It's robbing our country and it's wrong.
00:05:41.000 Well, Governor, let me just follow up very quickly.
00:05:43.000 All they're talking about is... All they're talking about is money.
00:05:50.000 Taxes and debt.
00:05:51.000 Yeah, and that's what happens when you inherit a blue state that has done that.
00:05:56.000 But when you look at what we did on debt, Brett, in that state,
00:06:00.000 We cut debt in that state.
00:06:01.000 Debt that had been left to us by three Democratic gubernatorial predecessors of mine who ran up that debt tremendously.
00:06:09.000 And what you also saw us do was to cut the unemployment rate in half.
00:06:13.000 It was over 10% when I became governor in 2010.
00:06:17.000 What we also did was cut pension payments to public employees to make sure that taxpayers were not being soaked by a public employee union system that was killing the taxpayer.
00:06:30.000 Thank you, Governor.
00:06:31.000 Governor Scott, I mean, Tim Scott, Senator Scott, excuse me.
00:06:34.000 The song also goes after welfare programs.
00:06:37.000 The song.
00:06:38.000 As a senator, now President Biden, argued for freezing federal spending, this was back in the 80s, and dealing with sacred cows.
00:06:46.000 He does not talk about that anymore.
00:06:49.000 You have been a senator, though, for 10 years.
00:06:51.000 So what have you done to rein in the increasing size of government?
00:06:57.000 Well, thank you for the question.
00:06:59.000 Over the last several years, I've had an opportunity to vote against spending package after spending package after spending package.
00:07:05.000 What we also need to understand is that Joe Biden's Biden-nomics has led to the loss of $10,000 of spending power for the average family.
00:07:16.000 When you see 16% inflation, your gas is up 40%.
00:07:21.000 Your food is up 20%, your electricity is up 20%.
00:07:24.000 We can stop that by turning the spigot off in Washington, sending the money back to the states and allowing the decisions to be made at their own houses.
00:07:35.000 I helped write the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017.
00:07:39.000 We cut taxes for a single mom like the one that raised me by 70%, for dual
00:07:44.000 I don't want to raise money.
00:07:46.000 The moderators are really coming for these guys.
00:08:07.000 He's so eloquent.
00:08:29.000 But our inflation was at 2%.
00:08:32.000 Under Joe Biden, we've seen the exact opposite.
00:08:35.000 We've seen inflation explode, which led to 12 Federal Reserve increases.
00:08:41.000 That's devastating homebuyers today.
00:08:45.000 Mr. Ramaswamy, you're listening to these answers.
00:08:49.000 If I may, I don't know if I get a chance to respond.
00:08:51.000 He didn't mention you specifically, but we'll be with you in a second, Mr. Vice President.
00:08:55.000 Mr. Ramaswamy,
00:08:57.000 Listening to all of this, why should voters choose you over more experienced politicians on this stage?
00:09:04.000 You're basically, you know, a blank slate for people.
00:09:06.000 You're 38 years old.
00:09:08.000 You've said that you only voted in two presidential elections before this moment, this political race.
00:09:15.000 So first, let me just address a question that is on everybody's mind at home tonight.
00:09:19.000 Who the heck is this skinny guy with a funny last name and what the heck is he doing in the middle of this debate stage?
00:09:25.000 I'll tell you, I'm not a politician, Brett.
00:09:26.000 You're right about that.
00:09:28.000 I'm an entrepreneur.
00:09:29.000 My parents came to this country with no money 40 years ago.
00:09:32.000 I have gone on to found multi-billion dollar companies.
00:09:36.000 I did it while marrying my wife, Apoorva, raising our two sons, following our faith in God.
00:09:42.000 That is the American dream.
00:09:43.000 Which God?
00:09:44.000 And I am genuinely worried that that American dream will not exist for our two sons and their generation unless we do something about it.
00:09:52.000 And I do think Brett is gonna take an outsider because for a long time we have professional politicians in the Republican Party who have been running from something.
00:09:59.000 Now is our moment to start running to something.
00:10:03.000 To our vision of what it means to be an American today.
00:10:07.000 If you have a broken car, you don't turn over the keys to the people who broke it again.
00:10:11.000 You hand it over to a new generation to actually fix the problem.
00:10:14.000 That's why I'm in this race and we're just getting warmed up.
00:10:16.000 That's awesome.
00:10:17.000 Good answer.
00:10:20.000 She's hot, I'm not gonna lie.
00:10:22.000 Damn.
00:10:22.000 Wow.
00:10:48.000 Whoa!
00:10:48.000 Whoa!
00:11:17.000 That's kind of retarded, though.
00:11:37.000 Because the budget is trillions.
00:11:39.000 You're talking about earmarks?
00:11:41.000 The problem is not earmarks.
00:11:44.000 7 billion?
00:11:45.000 The budget's like 7 trillion, idiot.
00:11:47.000 But all they talk about is money.
00:11:49.000 All you people care about is money.
00:11:50.000 What about the border?
00:11:51.000 See, more of this.
00:12:05.000 Well, first off, thanks for the question.
00:12:07.000 Thanks for letting me respond to a reference to our administration's record.
00:12:12.000 I'm incredibly proud of the record of the Trump-Pence administration.
00:12:16.000 I mean, in four short years, we rebuilt our military, we revived our economy, we unleashed American energy, and we appointed three conservatives to the Supreme Court that gave the American people a new beginning for the right to life.
00:12:32.000 Martha, you asked earlier who's the most best prepared for this job.
00:12:37.000 And I must say, with all due respect to all of my friends on the stage, and even to one that's probably looking on, I think unquestionably I am the best prepared, the most tested, the most qualified and proven conservative in this race.
00:12:53.000 I was a leader in the Congress of the United States.
00:12:55.000 I led Indiana where we balanced budgets and had a triple-A bond rating.
00:13:00.000 When I was governor and as vice president of the United States, we spent funding to backfill on the military cuts of the Obama administration and then we were there in the worst pandemic in 100 years.
00:13:13.000 All that being said, I was the first person in this race.
00:13:16.000 To say that we've got to deal with the long-term national debt issues.
00:13:21.000 You got people on this stage that won't even talk about issues like Social Security and Medicare.
00:13:27.000 Vivek, you recently said a president can't do everything.
00:13:31.000 Well, I got news for you, Vivek.
00:13:32.000 I've been in the hallway.
00:13:34.000 I've been in the West Wing.
00:13:35.000 A president of the United States has to confront every crisis facing America.
00:13:40.000 I will put our nation back on the path to growth and prosperity and restore fiscal responsibility, just as I did in Congress and as governor and when I was vice president.
00:13:53.000 Fiscal Responsibility.
00:13:55.000 That's the battle cry.
00:13:57.000 Fiscal Responsibility.
00:13:59.000 And they want to cut Social Security.
00:14:00.000 Let's go.
00:14:22.000 He's great.
00:14:23.000 I like him.
00:14:23.000 Oh, damn.
00:14:24.000 Look, I was a House conservative leader before it was cool.
00:14:45.000 You're not cool, you're gay, and we hate you.
00:14:48.000 That was a good line, that was a good line.
00:15:11.000 That was a good line.
00:15:13.000 But he cooked that one before.
00:15:15.000 Pre-cooked line.
00:15:19.000 So here's the thing.
00:15:20.000 Why are we in this mess?
00:15:22.000 Part of it is because how this federal government handed COVID-19 by locking down this economy.
00:15:29.000 It was a mistake.
00:15:30.000 It should have never happened.
00:15:32.000 And in Florida,
00:15:33.000 Shut up!
00:15:55.000 He's so gay.
00:16:00.000 He just doesn't have it.
00:16:01.000 He doesn't have that X Factor.
00:16:02.000 Oh!
00:16:02.000 Let's go!
00:16:02.000 Eat shit!
00:16:03.000 Eat shit!
00:16:13.000 Not really, Mike, actually.
00:16:14.000 We're just going to have some fun tonight.
00:16:16.000 And the reality is, you have a bunch of people, professional politicians, super PAC puppets, following slogans handed over to them by their 400-page super PACs last week.
00:16:26.000 The real choice we face in this primary is this.
00:16:29.000 Do you want a super PAC puppet, or do you want a patriot who speaks the truth?
00:16:33.000 Do you want incremental reform, which is what you're hearing about, or do you want revolution?
00:16:39.000 And I stand on the side of the American revolution.
00:16:42.000 Love that.
00:16:42.000 Love that rhetoric.
00:16:43.000 Love that rhetoric.
00:16:44.000 We need to have a moment on the economy.
00:16:47.000 I think that's fair.
00:16:48.000 There are two people who have not... We're going to get back to that.
00:16:52.000 There are two people who we have not heard from yet, so let's hear from Governor Burgum and then from Governor Hutchinson on the economy, sir.
00:16:57.000 Well, great.
00:16:57.000 Thank you, Martha.
00:16:58.000 And, of course, I'm from a town of 300 people.
00:17:01.000 It's a big deal to make it on this stage with all these folks.
00:17:06.000 Who are you?
00:17:07.000 Who are you?
00:17:08.000 We don't even know.
00:17:09.000 They were all wishing me well, and I think I took them a little too literally when they said, go to Milwaukee and break a leg.
00:17:17.000 But I do want to say on this, we're missing something.
00:17:21.000 We can't just talk about the Biden economy because the economy, energy, and national security are all tied together.
00:17:27.000 Of course, we're paying too much for our energy in our country right now.
00:17:31.000 But part of the reason why is because of the Biden policies on energy.
00:17:34.000 We've got a plan right now.
00:17:36.000 The $1.2 trillion of Green New Deal spending buried in the Inflation Creation Act is something that is just subsidizing China.
00:17:44.000 Good point.
00:18:13.000 He's cooking!
00:18:14.000 He cooked!
00:18:22.000 No, no.
00:18:22.000 We hate you.
00:18:23.000 Look at this!
00:18:24.000 Look at this!
00:18:25.000 Israel flag!
00:18:25.000 That's crazy.
00:18:25.000 Southerner, by the way.
00:18:26.000 Southerner.
00:18:46.000 We have 14% fewer state employees in Arkansas after I left government than when I took over as governor eight years ago.
00:18:55.000 I tell that because that's what we need in Washington, D.C.
00:18:59.000 We need somebody who can actually constrain the growth of federal government that can actually reduce the size, and I've pledged to reduce by 10%, our federal non-defense workforce.
00:19:12.000 That's crazy.
00:19:13.000 I can't even hear him, it's too distracting.
00:19:38.000 Israel flagged him.
00:19:39.000 That's fake.
00:20:07.000 And a tropical storm hit California for the first time in 84 years.
00:20:11.000 The ocean hit 101 degrees off the coast of Florida.
00:20:15.000 And in the last month, the heat wave in the southwest broke records nearly 50 years old.
00:20:20.000 So Alexander Diaz from Young America's Foundation has a question for you.
00:20:26.000 Polls consistently show that young people's number one issue is climate change.
00:20:29.000 How will you, as both President of the United States and leader of the Republican Party, calm their fears that the Republican Party doesn't care about climate change?
00:20:36.000 It's not real!
00:20:37.000 So we want to start with a show of hands.
00:20:40.000 Do you believe in human behavior is causing climate change?
00:20:46.000 Raise your hand if you do.
00:20:47.000 Look, we're not school children.
00:20:48.000 Let's have the debate.
00:20:49.000 I mean, I'm happy to take it to start.
00:20:51.000 Alexander, do you want to raise your hand?
00:20:53.000 That was good.
00:20:55.000 I hate shit.
00:20:55.000 Fuck bastards.
00:21:25.000 Faced!
00:21:25.000 Faced!
00:21:45.000 And the reality is, the anti-carbon agenda is the wet blanket on our economy.
00:21:51.000 And so the reality is, more people are dying of bad climate change policies than they are of actual climate change.
00:22:00.000 That was awesome.
00:22:01.000 I love it.
00:22:02.000 I love it.
00:22:03.000 What a pussy.
00:22:06.000 I've had enough already tonight of a guy who sounds like Chat GPT standing up here
00:22:14.000 The last person in one of these debates, Brett, who stood in the middle of the stage and said, what's a skinny guy with an odd last name doing up here was Barack Obama, and I'm afraid we're dealing with the same type of amateur standing on stage tonight.
00:22:32.000 Damn.
00:22:40.000 His delivery's not great on the banter.
00:22:43.000 The banter's not great.
00:22:45.000 What I would like to say is the fact that I think this is exactly why Margaret Thatcher said if you want something said, ask a man.
00:22:52.000 If you want something done, ask a woman.
00:22:55.000 Shut the fuck up, stupid fucking bitch!
00:22:59.000 First of all, we do care about clean air, clean water.
00:23:04.000 We want to see that taken care of.
00:23:06.000 But there's a right way to do it.
00:23:07.000 And the right way to do it is, first of all, yes, is climate change real?
00:23:11.000 Yes, it is.
00:23:11.000 But if you want to go and really change the environment, then we need to start telling China and India that they have to lower their emissions.
00:23:19.000 That's where our problem is.
00:23:21.000 And these green subsidies that Biden has put in, all he's done is help China, because he doesn't understand all these electric vehicles that he's done.
00:23:29.000 What that does, half of the batteries for electric vehicles are made in China.
00:23:34.000 And so that's not helping the environment.
00:23:36.000 You're putting money in China's pocket.
00:23:39.000 And Biden did that.
00:23:40.000 So first of all, I think we need to acknowledge the truth, which is- The banter's great tonight.
00:23:44.000 I'm loving it.
00:23:45.000 We also need to take on the international
00:23:48.000 The international world?
00:23:50.000 You have to go to that international world.
00:23:52.000 Oh, shut up.
00:23:52.000 Shut up.
00:24:14.000 As a kid who grew up in a single-parent household marred in poverty, I wondered, was the American dream real for kids who were devastated by poverty, devastated by the challenges of life?
00:24:25.000 I came to the conclusion that America can do for anyone what she's done for me if we focus on restoring hope, creating opportunities, and protecting America.
00:24:35.000 If we want the environment to be better, and we all do, the best thing to do is to bring our jobs home from China.
00:24:42.000 If we create
00:24:44.000 10 million new jobs in my Made in America plan, we will have a better economy and a better environment.
00:24:50.000 Let me tell you why I say that, Brett.
00:24:52.000 America has cut our carbon footprint in half in the last 25 years.
00:24:55.000 The places where they are continuing to increase, Africa, 950 million people.
00:25:13.000 India over a billion.
00:25:14.000 China over a billion.
00:25:15.000 Why would we put ourselves at a disadvantage?
00:25:19.000 Devastating our own economy.
00:25:21.000 Let's bring our jobs home.
00:25:23.000 We have a lot of different topics to get to.
00:25:26.000 Yep, we do.
00:25:27.000 We thank you all.
00:25:28.000 Thank you, Senator Scott.
00:25:29.000 All right.
00:25:29.000 This is awesome.
00:25:30.000 Let's go!
00:25:30.000 That was awesome.
00:25:45.000 Great stuff, great stuff.
00:25:47.000 All right, who do you guys think is winning so far?
00:25:49.000 Press 1 for Vivek, 2 for DeSantis, 3 for somebody else.
00:25:54.000 1 Vivek, 2 DeSantis, 3 somebody else.
00:25:57.000 Quick poll, quick poll.
00:25:59.000 1 in the chat for Vivek, 2 for DeSantis, 3 someone else.
00:26:05.000 Let me know what you think.
00:26:07.000 Seen a lot of 1s.
00:26:09.000 It's almost all 1s.
00:26:10.000 Wow, it's all 1s.
00:26:14.000 I don't think I've seen a not one.
00:26:15.000 I saw one too.
00:26:20.000 And a three.
00:26:22.000 Yeah, okay, Vivek is cooking, man.
00:26:24.000 He's doing a great job.
00:26:27.000 Nikki Haley's not doing so bad either, you know, because...
00:26:31.000 She's got this reputation as a real neocon, so her coming out there swinging against Republicans and doing this, it's both sides.
00:26:38.000 That's interesting rhetoric.
00:26:40.000 And it's interesting because she is an establishment candidate, and even though she is establishment, she is playing the anti-establishment card.
00:26:50.000 And I think this whole night shows the indelible mark that Trump has left on politics, specifically on the Republican side.
00:26:57.000 Because they're all bringing the banter, they're all aggressive, they're all really trying to...
00:27:04.000 On the one hand, they're balancing with the experience, because that's conventional part of it, is, oh, I was a governor, I was a, when I was governor, when I was vice president.
00:27:12.000 But at the same time, some of them are going for this, even they're going for an anti-Republican angle, which I don't know that that was very popular before Trump.
00:27:21.000 So, that's interesting.
00:27:24.000 I think Vivek is doing well.
00:27:25.000 He's very well spoken.
00:27:27.000 He is kind of getting his lunch eaten.
00:27:29.000 The banter is not landing.
00:27:31.000 His banter is not landing.
00:27:34.000 His response to Chris Christie was good.
00:27:37.000 He said, oh, well, give me a big hug.
00:27:39.000 Because if you're young, maybe you don't remember this, but Chris Christie famously gave Barack Obama a hug, I think after Hurricane Sandy.
00:27:48.000 And Trump and Rand Paul attacked him for that eight years ago.
00:27:53.000 So that but that didn't quite land when he said oh, give me a hug then it was fire, but he didn't I Don't know that that landed great.
00:28:01.000 The timing was a little off same thing with Mike Pence I think Mike Pence kind of kicked the shit out of him a little bit.
00:28:07.000 So the banter's not topped I'm just gonna say I don't think the banter is really landing but he is very effective like he stole the initiative from Mike Pence early on and
00:28:17.000 He grabbed the climate change.
00:28:19.000 Saying that climate change was a hoax, that was very powerful.
00:28:21.000 That was very smart to just say it straight up and say, well, I'm not owned, so I can say it's fake.
00:28:27.000 I thought that was very good.
00:28:32.000 Besides that, I mean, I know the topic is fiscal conservatism, but it's interesting that that's what all their opening statements were about.
00:28:41.000 Because the question was about the song.
00:28:43.000 The question was about this Oliver Anthony song and broadly about Bidenomics and they're all effectively giving their opening statements and it's all just about money.
00:28:54.000 Like, I didn't hear immigration mentioned one time.
00:28:58.000 It's all been about energy and the budget.
00:29:02.000 Which, you know, in the same way that maybe this shows how the style has changed, people are more pugnacious like Trump, at the same time the substance has slid back.
00:29:14.000 I'm talking about their tactics are Trumpian, but the things that they're saying sound like the pre-Trump Republican Party, the way they're all talking about debt, spending, unemployment, inflation.
00:29:26.000 Not that those things aren't important, they are, it's a big deal, but
00:29:30.000 That was not front and center in the last two elections.
00:29:33.000 The last two elections were about a culture war, really.
00:29:38.000 And immigration being at the center of that, so... I guess we'll have to wait and see as the debate goes on.
00:29:43.000 I'm sure immigration will be brought up eventually, but those were the opening statements.
00:29:48.000 And everybody's opening statement was a prosperity agenda.
00:29:52.000 So I thought that was interesting.
00:29:55.000 But alright, it looks like we're back!
00:29:58.000 Let's see how we're doing!
00:30:00.000 Round two.
00:30:02.000 Abortion has been a losing issue for Republicans since the Dobbs decision.
00:30:08.000 In six state referendums, all have upheld abortion rights in this country.
00:30:14.000 And even in red states, there are more swing state referendums that are coming up as we head into the elections as well on this.
00:30:22.000 So, Governor Haley, what do you say to your party and to your state, which today confirmed a six-week abortion law as well, especially the impact on women suburban voters across this country?
00:30:36.000 Thank you, Martha.
00:30:37.000 I am unapologetically pro-life.
00:30:39.000 I love her hair.
00:30:39.000 Her hair's so voluminous.
00:30:40.000 Not because the Republican Party tells me to be, but because my husband was adopted and I had trouble having both of my children, so I'm surrounded by blessings.
00:30:49.000 Having said that, we need to stop demonizing this issue.
00:30:53.000 This is talking about the fact that unelected justices didn't need to decide something this personal, because it's personal for every woman and man.
00:31:01.000 Now it's been put in the hands of the people.
00:31:03.000 That's great.
00:31:04.000 When it comes to a federal ban, let's be honest with the American people and say it will take 60 Senate votes, it will take a majority of the House.
00:31:12.000 So in order to do that, let's find consensus.
00:31:16.000 Can't we all agree that we should ban late-term abortions?
00:31:19.000 Can't we all agree that we should encourage adoptions?
00:31:23.000 Can't we all agree that doctors and nurses who don't believe in abortion shouldn't have to perform them?
00:31:28.000 Can't we all agree that contraception should be available?
00:31:31.000 And can't we all agree that we are not going to put a woman in jail or give her the death penalty?
00:31:36.000 No!
00:31:37.000 What?
00:31:37.000 No!
00:31:37.000 No, we can't agree.
00:31:39.000 Let's treat this like a respectful issue that it is and humanize the situation and stop demonizing the situation.
00:31:45.000 Yeah, you lost me about not giving women the death penalty.
00:31:48.000 Oh, look at his face!
00:31:49.000 Why does he look like that?
00:32:07.000 Well, I would say we sold the biggest election landslide victory in the history of the Republican Party in the state of Florida in 2022.
00:32:15.000 That's what I did.
00:32:16.000 We can win.
00:32:17.000 But second of all, look, you got to do what you think is right.
00:32:21.000 I believe in a culture of life.
00:32:23.000 I was proud to sign the heartbeat bill.
00:32:26.000 I remember the most impactful moments of my life.
00:32:28.000 was when I heard the heartbeat of my oldest daughter in my wife's womb and then saw the sonograms of all three of my kids.
00:32:36.000 What the Democrats are trying to do on this issue is wrong to allow abortion all the way up to the moment of birth.
00:32:44.000 I know a lady in Florida named Penny.
00:32:46.000 She survived multiple abortion attempts.
00:32:49.000 She was left discarded in a pan.
00:32:52.000 Fortunately, her grandmother saved her and brought her to a different hospital.
00:32:56.000 We're better than what the Democrats
00:32:58.000 Good answer, but a little weaselly.
00:33:00.000 We won't allow it up till birth.
00:33:29.000 You're shaking your head.
00:33:30.000 Well, look, I'm not new to this cause.
00:33:35.000 After I gave my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I opened up the book and I read, Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.
00:33:43.000 And see, I set before you life and death, blessings and curses.
00:33:47.000 Now choose life.
00:33:48.000 And I knew from that moment on, the cause of life had to be my cause.
00:33:52.000 And I've been a champion for life in the Congress, a champion for life as governor and as vice president.
00:33:57.000 And to be honest with you, Nikki, you're my friend, but consensus is the opposite of leadership.
00:34:02.000 Ooh, true!
00:34:03.000 Facts.
00:34:03.000 Mmm, face.
00:34:03.000 Wow.
00:34:21.000 I was good.
00:34:21.000 Traitor, but that was good.
00:34:51.000 First of all, I will say it is in the hands of the people and that's where it should be.
00:34:54.000 But when you're talking about a federal ban, be honest with the American people.
00:34:59.000 We haven't had 45 pro-life senators in over 100 years, so no Republican president can ban abortions any more than a Democrat president can ban all those state laws.
00:35:10.000 Don't make women feel like they have to decide on this issue when you know we don't have 60 Senate votes
00:35:16.000 I don't know.
00:35:37.000 He's got a great physiognomy, great phenotype.
00:35:40.000 He's got like a classic American phenotype.
00:36:08.000 Well, first of all, I'm a pro-life governor of a very pro-life state.
00:36:12.000 And this issue is, of course, very important.
00:36:14.000 But I am on the record and I stand behind that we should not have a federal abortion ban.
00:36:20.000 We should not.
00:36:20.000 And the reason why we shouldn't is very simple.
00:36:22.000 It's the 10th Amendment in the Constitution.
00:36:26.000 I thought we were past the pocket Constitution.
00:36:30.000 It says that there were certain duties allowed to the federal government
00:36:33.000 Come on.
00:36:33.000 Freedom and liberty!
00:36:34.000 Here's my pocket constitution!
00:36:35.000 I thought we were done with that shit.
00:36:58.000 Over and over.
00:36:58.000 If we say that the Fed should be in on this one, where do we stop?
00:37:01.000 I say that we follow the Constitution, and this is return to the states.
00:37:05.000 This is where it should be.
00:37:06.000 But Governor Burgum, you signed a six-week ban.
00:37:09.000 You signed a six-week ban.
00:37:11.000 Governor Burgum, you signed a six-week ban.
00:37:13.000 So you're saying, federally, it's all going to go to the states?
00:37:17.000 Israel.
00:37:17.000 He doesn't even look human.
00:37:18.000 Look at his eyes.
00:37:19.000 Look at his eyes!
00:37:20.000 Lizard Jew.
00:37:21.000 This guy's a freak.
00:37:21.000 This guy's a freak.
00:37:44.000 We're good to go.
00:38:08.000 We're good to go.
00:38:30.000 There are a lot of issues that are very important.
00:38:32.000 Senator, I'll let you weigh in.
00:38:46.000 We cannot let states like California, New York, and Illinois have abortions on demand up until the day of birth.
00:38:56.000 That is immoral.
00:38:58.000 It is unethical.
00:38:59.000 It is wrong.
00:39:00.000 We must have a President of the United States who will advocate and fight for, at the minimum, a 15-week limit.
00:39:08.000 I am 100% pro-life conservative.
00:39:11.000 I have a 100% pro-life record.
00:39:14.000 I gotta tell you, though.
00:39:15.000 We can't leave it to Illinois.
00:39:19.000 We can't leave it to Minnesota.
00:39:21.000 We can't leave it to Illinois.
00:39:24.000 We must solve that issue with a 15-million-dollar
00:39:43.000 Thank you, Senator.
00:39:48.000 Thank you.
00:39:49.000 Is that Bill Cosby?
00:39:52.000 Alright, another issue is America and the crime crisis, the homelessness crisis.
00:39:59.000 American cities are in decline.
00:40:01.000 People are moving out as homelessness, drugs, crime move in.
00:40:05.000 There are problems accelerated.
00:40:08.000 They did accelerate during the pandemic and are still rising actually.
00:40:12.000 Murders in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, all up 30% between 2019 and 2022.
00:40:19.000 Homelessness is up 11%, the largest jump in recorded history.
00:40:24.000 Vice President Pence, a lot of this began in the COVID era.
00:40:29.000 How much of what we're seeing happening around this country is a result of those COVID lockdowns, and is your administration in part to blame for how we got here?
00:40:41.000 Well, I think what's in part to blame is that Democrats have been talking about defunding the police for the last five years.
00:40:47.000 And we ought to be funding law enforcement, particularly in our major cities, at unprecedented levels.
00:40:53.000 I mean, it's extraordinary to think about the violence that's claiming innocent lives literally every week in every major city in this country.
00:41:01.000 Where's Vivek?
00:41:02.000 We haven't heard from Vivek once since the break.
00:41:05.000 He's cooking too much.
00:41:26.000 Why's he bringing that up?
00:41:27.000 What does that have to do with this?
00:41:51.000 He looks like he's dying.
00:41:52.000 He looks gray.
00:41:53.000 You know how people look gray before they're about to die?
00:41:56.000 He's not looking good.
00:42:21.000 You know, I'm proud of the fact, Brett, that I'm the only person along with Governor Hutchinson up on this stage who's actually running United States Attorney's Office.
00:42:29.000 I ran the fifth largest office in America in a state where there is significant urban crime.
00:42:36.000 The problem is not going to be solved by more money.
00:42:40.000 The problem is that these prosecutors in these localities in the states are refusing to do their job and to arrest violent criminals.
00:42:49.000 So what President Christie would do is appoint an attorney general who would instruct each of the 93 U.S.
00:42:56.000 attorneys that they are to take over.
00:42:58.000 Thank you.
00:43:21.000 Seriously?
00:43:22.000 Is that why it's happening?
00:43:23.000 Black people are like...
00:43:46.000 Hunter Biden got away with it, I did too!
00:43:48.000 Alright, here we go.
00:44:07.000 Bring him back!
00:44:08.000 Brahmin.
00:44:29.000 And I say this as a member of my generation.
00:44:31.000 The problem in our country right now, the reason we have that mental health epidemic, is that people are so hungry for purpose and meaning at a time when family, faith, patriotism, hard work have all disappeared.
00:44:45.000 What we really need is a tonal reset from the top, saying that this is what it means to be an American.
00:44:50.000 Yes, we will stand for the rule of law.
00:44:52.000 Yes, we will close the southern border where criminals are coming in every day.
00:44:56.000 And yes, we will back law enforcement because we remember who we really are.
00:45:00.000 And that's also how we address that mental health epidemic in the next generation that is directly leading to violent crime across this country.
00:45:08.000 I was fired.
00:45:09.000 They didn't like that.
00:45:10.000 The audience didn't like that, but that was good.
00:45:13.000 We're not looking for a new national identity.
00:45:15.000 The American people are the most faith-filled, freedom-loving, idealistic, hard-working people the world has ever known.
00:45:22.000 That is so cringe.
00:45:24.000 Mike, I think the difference is you might have, as some others like you may have on this stage, it's mourning in America speech.
00:45:29.000 It is not mourning in America.
00:45:30.000 Let's go!
00:45:31.000 Let's go!
00:45:33.000 Let's go!
00:45:35.000 That's fire!
00:45:35.000 Yes!
00:45:35.000 Yes!
00:45:36.000 Yes!
00:45:36.000 That was awesome!
00:45:56.000 That was awesome!
00:46:06.000 These hollowed out cities, this is a symptom of America's decline.
00:46:11.000 And one of the biggest reasons is because you have George Soros funding these radical left-wing district attorneys.
00:46:17.000 They get into office and they say they're not going to prosecute crimes.
00:46:21.000 They disagree with the inmates start running the asylum.
00:46:24.000 There's one guy in this entire country that's ever done anything about that.
00:46:28.000 Me.
00:46:29.000 When we had two of these district attorneys in Florida elected with Soros funding who said they wouldn't do their job,
00:46:36.000 I removed them from their posts.
00:46:38.000 They are gone.
00:46:42.000 And as president, as president, we are going to go after all of these people because they are hurting the quality of life and they are victimizing innocent people in every corner of this country and it will stop when I get into office.
00:47:01.000 Because there's no black people.
00:47:02.000 There ain't no black people around these small towns.
00:47:04.000 Try that in a small town!
00:47:04.000 Fella, try that in a small town!
00:47:06.000 I agree with this implicit white nationalist message.
00:47:31.000 This guy's a fed.
00:47:32.000 This guy is an alien Jewish fed.
00:47:33.000 Pull up your pants!
00:47:34.000 Second, pull up your pants!
00:47:52.000 And no rap music.
00:47:53.000 Thirdly, no rap music.
00:47:53.000 Secondly, pull up your pants.
00:47:54.000 Thirdly, no rap music.
00:48:20.000 Look at his eyes.
00:48:20.000 Brett.
00:48:21.000 Brett.
00:48:21.000 Brett.
00:48:21.000 Brett.
00:48:45.000 So, speaking of that, right now you are looking live at Fulton County Jail, where former President Donald Trump will be processed tomorrow.
00:48:54.000 So next the candidates will have an opportunity to talk about the coming trials of Donald Trump.
00:49:01.000 Oh!
00:49:01.000 Here we go.
00:49:02.000 That's gonna be interesting.
00:49:09.000 Okay.
00:49:10.000 Well mid-game that was kind of boring.
00:49:12.000 They keep, they're really coming for Vivek.
00:49:14.000 Mike Pence is really gunning for him because he's honestly kind of like the front-runner.
00:49:19.000 DeSantis had a strong answer on crime.
00:49:22.000 They all had pretty good statements on pro-life.
00:49:25.000 Mike Pence had a very solid statement on abortion.
00:49:28.000 Nikki Haley not so much.
00:49:30.000 Tim Scott did okay.
00:49:32.000 We didn't hear too much though from Vivek.
00:49:34.000 It was a lot of Tim Scott it felt like that time.
00:49:36.000 Very Tim Scott heavy.
00:49:39.000 That was amazing, though, and it was crazy that Mike Pence interjected and said, well, Americans are God-fearing and blah blah.
00:49:50.000 And you just realize how out of touch these people are.
00:49:52.000 I love the generational clash.
00:49:54.000 You have this old fucking boomer who's gonna go up there and say, we need a government as good as our people.
00:50:00.000 Our people?
00:50:01.000 It's like, no, dude.
00:50:02.000 No, we are losing the popular vote every time.
00:50:06.000 That's old people.
00:50:07.000 Old people are like that.
00:50:09.000 Yeah, old people are so God-fearing, rooting-tooting.
00:50:12.000 Not young people!
00:50:14.000 Half the young people aren't even white!
00:50:16.000 And most of them aren't Christian.
00:50:19.000 And that is the case the younger that you get.
00:50:24.000 And that's the trend, of course.
00:50:26.000 That's our elites, and that's the trend.
00:50:29.000 So I love when Vivek comes in.
00:50:32.000 The morning in America was chef's kiss.
00:50:36.000 That was beautiful.
00:50:37.000 Because it's true.
00:50:38.000 They are still living in the 80s.
00:50:40.000 They're literally living in Ronald Reagan's America.
00:50:43.000 It's morning in America.
00:50:45.000 And Vivek says, no it's not.
00:50:47.000 It's dark.
00:50:48.000 Yes!
00:50:49.000 Finally someone said it.
00:50:51.000 That was part of the initial appeal of Trump.
00:50:54.000 I feel like that a lot of people don't talk about anymore.
00:50:57.000 He was the first guy, I think, ever to come out and say, like, our country is dead.
00:51:02.000 He was the first guy to come out and say, look, the American dream is dead.
00:51:07.000 And, like, things are terrible.
00:51:09.000 Like, it's American carnage.
00:51:10.000 You remember he said that during his inaugural?
00:51:14.000 American carnage.
00:51:16.000 And everybody, all the media critiqued it and said, oh, it's so dark, it's so... But he was right.
00:51:21.000 Everybody, especially conservatives, feel it because it's our values that are under attack.
00:51:27.000 So for Vivek to say that, that was masterful.
00:51:31.000 Look at this Black Rifle coffee.
00:51:33.000 Nice.
00:51:34.000 They should have went out of business because they're all faggots, but whatever.
00:51:38.000 Anyway.
00:51:39.000 And they disavowed Kyle Rittenhouse.
00:51:43.000 But anyway, so that was amazing.
00:51:46.000 Mike Pence jumps in.
00:51:47.000 It's just outrageous that people even believe that or can say that.
00:51:51.000 We need a government as good as our people.
00:51:53.000 It's like our people, our people are walking mozzarella sticks and the rest of them are black.
00:51:58.000 So, we need a government as good as our people.
00:52:02.000 The people, look at the people.
00:52:05.000 The people are vulgar and crass.
00:52:08.000 The people are walking around at Walmart with flip-flops on and they're drinking syrup by the bottle.
00:52:15.000 And that's just your white people.
00:52:16.000 Forget about even the black criminals and the Hispanic immigrants and everything else.
00:52:24.000 That's insane.
00:52:25.000 We need a government as good as our people.
00:52:28.000 And if that goes in, hey, listen, bitch.
00:52:30.000 Hey, listen up, boomer.
00:52:31.000 It's not morning in America anymore.
00:52:33.000 It's twilight.
00:52:34.000 That was perfect.
00:52:36.000 Loved that.
00:52:37.000 He's on the money when he says they want incremental reform, I want a revolution.
00:52:43.000 Climate change is a hoax.
00:52:49.000 It's not morning in America.
00:52:50.000 This is dark.
00:52:51.000 We're gonna reset.
00:52:52.000 Like, that was... I'm so down with Vivek.
00:52:56.000 I think he's excellent.
00:52:58.000 I don't like that he's not a Christian, but otherwise he's good.
00:53:02.000 And addressing the identity, that was the first time I've ever heard that in a presidential debate, to say American identity, and say we have an identity crisis, faith, family, hard work are going down the tubes.
00:53:15.000 That was excellent.
00:53:17.000 So...
00:53:19.000 I think he's the winner.
00:53:19.000 I'm very curious to see what the reaction will be if there's any sort of, like, polling that goes on.
00:53:24.000 You know, sometimes they do the Frank Luntz focus group, whatever.
00:53:29.000 I'm curious to see how these clips will carry on social media if he'll be considered, like, the viral winner of the debate.
00:53:37.000 Because I think he's doing very well, but I don't know how it's being received.
00:53:42.000 The audience isn't receiving it very well.
00:53:45.000 What's going on?
00:53:47.000 Is this frozen?
00:53:59.000 Here we go.
00:54:00.000 Round three.
00:54:00.000 Round three.
00:54:01.000 One hour to go.
00:54:01.000 But we are going to take a brief moment and talk about the elephant not in the room.
00:54:20.000 Former President Trump has been indicted in four different states on 91 counts.
00:54:26.000 He will be processed tomorrow in Georgia at the Fulton County Jail for charges relating to the 2020 election loss.
00:54:33.000 You all signed a pledge to support the eventual Republican nominee.
00:54:38.000 If former President Trump is convicted in a court of law, would you still support him as your party's choice?
00:54:46.000 Please raise your hand if you would.
00:54:54.000 Wow, that was really bad.
00:54:56.000 Here's the bottom line.
00:54:59.000 Someone's got to stop normalizing this conduct.
00:55:19.000 What?
00:55:19.000 Gay.
00:55:20.000 Gay.
00:55:20.000 Gay.
00:55:20.000 Now, fuck you.
00:55:45.000 Mere conduct!
00:55:51.000 That's kind of pecked, though.
00:55:52.000 See, that was a troll move, but it goes, you can do all you want.
00:55:54.000 That was kind of funny.
00:55:55.000 Let's go!
00:55:55.000 Based!
00:55:56.000 Oh!
00:56:19.000 Let's go.
00:56:21.000 Let's go.
00:56:21.000 Awesome.
00:56:22.000 I see a bunch of people blindly bashing Donald Trump without an iota of vision for this country.
00:56:28.000 They could just change the channel to MSNBC right now.
00:56:30.000 Epic.
00:56:31.000 Epic.
00:56:31.000 But I'm not running for president of MSNBC.
00:56:33.000 I am running for president of the United States.
00:56:36.000 We're skating on thin ice and we cannot set a precedent where the party in power uses police force to indict its political opponents.
00:56:43.000 It is wrong.
00:56:44.000 Yup.
00:56:45.000 Facts.
00:56:45.000 Let's go.
00:56:46.000 Let's go.
00:56:47.000 Let's go.
00:56:48.000 Eat shit, fatty.
00:56:49.000 Hold on.
00:56:49.000 Hold on, Governor Christie.
00:56:50.000 Hold on.
00:57:13.000 Shut up, bitch.
00:57:21.000 So let's just get through this section.
00:57:24.000 Governor Christie.
00:57:25.000 You sit here talking about how you want to stand up for the rule of law.
00:57:29.000 Yes.
00:57:29.000 And law and order.
00:57:31.000 And the fact is that it can't be selective.
00:57:33.000 In your book, you had much different things to say about Donald Trump than you're saying here tonight.
00:57:38.000 That's not true.
00:57:38.000 No, it is very true.
00:57:39.000 That is not true.
00:57:40.000 It's very true.
00:57:41.000 I read it, and I know— Because there's a difference between bad behavior and illegal behavior, Chris, and you as a prosecutor should know better.
00:57:47.000 You know what?
00:57:47.000 I know a lot better.
00:57:48.000 There's a difference between bad behavior.
00:57:50.000 I know a lot better than you do.
00:57:52.000 You've never done it like you've never done anything to try to advance the interests of this government, except to put yourself forward as a candidate tonight.
00:58:00.000 And here's the thing.
00:58:02.000 We've stood up for law and order.
00:58:03.000 I did it as U.S.
00:58:04.000 attorney.
00:58:05.000 I did it as governor.
00:58:06.000 And I am not going to bow to anyone when we have a president of the United States who disrespects the Constitution.
00:58:13.000 He said—
00:58:15.000 Martha, it's important to say that the President said, Donald Trump said, it's okay to suspend the Constitution.
00:58:30.000 Now the oath you take is to preserve, protect, and defend, not suspend.
00:58:36.000 I will always stand up for our Constitution regardless of the political pressure.
00:58:48.000 President Trump's former vice president is on this stage tonight.
00:58:52.000 He has faced hecklers on the campaign trail over his actions on January the 6th.
00:58:58.000 On that day, the vice president moved forward with the certification of the election.
00:59:03.000 Traitor.
00:59:04.000 So do you believe that Mike Pence did the right thing, Senator Scott?
00:59:11.000 Do you believe he did the right thing?
00:59:12.000 Absolutely.
00:59:13.000 He did the right thing.
00:59:13.000 Number one.
00:59:15.000 Number two.
00:59:17.000 Another traitor.
00:59:18.000 Yeah, that's what everyone can do.
00:59:37.000 Without that, no one has confidence in our justice system.
00:59:41.000 Seventeen percent of Republicans have confidence in our Department of Justice.
00:59:47.000 Here's why.
00:59:48.000 We keep seeing not only the weaponization of the Department of Justice against political opponents, but also against parents who show up at school board meetings.
00:59:58.000 They're called under this DOJ.
01:00:00.000 They're called domestic terrorists.
01:00:13.000 This guy's dumb.
01:00:13.000 This guy's dumb.
01:00:15.000 He's slow.
01:00:15.000 MLK, really?
01:00:16.000 Now he's MLK.
01:00:41.000 Pence did the right thing on January 6th.
01:00:42.000 So here's what we need to do.
01:00:44.000 We need to end the weaponization of these federal agents.
01:00:47.000 That's not the question.
01:00:48.000 I know, but here's the thing.
01:00:49.000 This election is not about January 6th of 2021.
01:00:50.000 It's about January 20th of 2025, when the next president is going to take office.
01:01:01.000 I know what the Democrats would like to do.
01:01:03.000 They want to talk about all these other issues, but we've got to focus on your future.
01:01:07.000 We've got to focus on reversing the decline of our country.
01:01:11.000 I learned in the military, I was assigned with U.S.
01:01:14.000 Navy SEALs in Iraq, that you focus on the mission above all else.
01:01:19.000 You can't get distracted.
01:01:20.000 So, Republicans, we've got to look forward, and we've got to make sure that we're bringing the message that can win in November 2020.
01:01:31.000 I think the American people deserve to know whether everyone on this stage agrees that I kept my oath to the Constitution that day.
01:01:47.000 There's no more important duty.
01:01:48.000 So answer the question.
01:01:50.000 I've answered this before.
01:01:53.000 Mike did his duty.
01:01:54.000 I got no beef with him.
01:01:55.000 But here's the thing.
01:01:56.000 Is this what we're going to be focusing on going forward?
01:02:00.000 The rehashing of this?
01:02:01.000 I'll tell you, the Democrats would love that.
01:02:04.000 And they will win if we let them get away with it.
01:02:14.000 Let me just say, Governor DeSantis, we spent an hour talking about policy.
01:02:17.000 Former President Trump is beating you by 30, 40 points in many polls.
01:02:21.000 Is he gonna talk about me?
01:02:22.000 Oh.
01:02:41.000 I thought he was going to say the dinner.
01:02:42.000 I thought he was going to say because of the lapel pin.
01:02:44.000 I thought he was going to say because he met with anti-Semites.
01:02:58.000 Under our rules and under the Constitution.
01:03:02.000 And so, obviously, I'm not going to support somebody who's been convicted of a serious felony or who is disqualified under our Constitution.
01:03:12.000 And that's consistent with RNC rules.
01:03:15.000 And I hope everybody would agree with me.
01:03:19.000 Martha, can I answer the question?
01:03:21.000 Can I get in on this?
01:03:22.000 I'd like to answer the question you asked and not give a pre-canned speech.
01:03:25.000 Mike Pence stood for the Constitution.
01:03:35.000 And he deserves, not grudging credit, he deserves our thanks as Americans for putting his oath of office and the Constitution of the United States before personal, political, and unfair pressure.
01:03:51.000 And the argument that we need to have in this party, before we can move on to the issues that Ron talked about, is we have to dispense with the person who said that we need to suspend the Constitution to put forward his political career.
01:04:08.000 Mike Pence said no, and he deserves credit for it.
01:04:11.000 Two rats.
01:04:17.000 You agree that Vice President Pence did the right thing that day or not?
01:04:21.000 I do think that Vice President Pence did the right thing.
01:04:23.000 And I do think that we need to give him credit for that.
01:04:26.000 But what I will also tell you is, look, I mean, when it comes to whether President Trump should serve or not, I trust the American people.
01:04:35.000 Let them vote.
01:04:36.000 Let them decide.
01:04:37.000 But what they will tell you is that it is time for a new generational conservative leader.
01:04:44.000 We have to look at the fact that three-quarters of Americans don't want a rematch between Trump and Biden.
01:04:51.000 And we have to face the fact that Trump is the most disliked politician in America.
01:04:56.000 We can't win a general election that way.
01:05:06.000 Happy to answer the question.
01:05:07.000 Mike Pence did the right thing on January 6th.
01:05:10.000 But I want to say, you started off the top of this hour saying we're going to talk about China, Ukraine, education.
01:05:15.000 We are.
01:05:15.000 China is the number one threat to our country, and every minute that these eight candidates spend talking about the past instead of the future is time that is just... You know who loves it?
01:05:24.000 Biden loves it, but China loves it when we're talking about the past.
01:05:28.000 Okay, as promised, we were gonna spend a few questions on it, let people say what they wanted to say, and now, indeed, we are moving on to the subject of- The U.S.
01:05:35.000 has committed nearly 77- Can I speak on this issue?
01:05:38.000 I was kind of involved.
01:05:39.000 You did answer on this.
01:05:40.000 You did say something.
01:05:42.000 We thought you were done, but you- No, I wasn't done.
01:05:45.000 Well, Mike, why don't you say this?
01:05:46.000 Join me in making a commitment that on day one you would pardon Donald Trump.
01:05:50.000 I'm the only candidate on this stage who had the courage to- YEAH!
01:05:56.000 I actually assume that Donald Trump will be convicted of these crimes.
01:06:00.000 You should be able to make a commitment.
01:06:02.000 The same justice system that was this corrupt.
01:06:04.000 There's a difference between you and me.
01:06:06.000 I'm not a professional politician.
01:06:07.000 That's the difference.
01:06:08.000 You can answer the question.
01:06:08.000 I've actually given pardons.
01:06:10.000 When I was governor of the state of Indiana, it usually follows a finding of guilt and contrition by the individual that's been convicted.
01:06:17.000 So, if I'm president of the United States, we'll give fair consideration to any pardon request.
01:06:22.000 But if I'm mad, if I'm mad,
01:06:27.000 You know, it's not about looking back at January 2021.
01:06:32.000 It's about January 20th, 2017.
01:06:35.000 I put my left hand on Ronald Reagan's Bible, I raised my right hand, and I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and it ended with a prayer, so help me God.
01:06:48.000 It was a promise that I made to the American people, but I also made it
01:06:53.000 This is a powerful moment.
01:06:55.000 This is a powerful moment.
01:06:56.000 Every day for four years I sought to keep that oath.
01:06:59.000 Wow.
01:06:59.000 And everyone on this stage needs to make it clear whether or not they'll do the same if they earn this job and the confidence of the American people.
01:07:08.000 Look, I've made it clear.
01:07:09.000 I had hoped that the issues surrounding the 2020 election and the controversies around January 6th had not come to this, had not come to criminal proceedings.
01:07:20.000 I would rather they had been resolved by the American people
01:07:23.000 We're good to go.
01:07:53.000 And I chose the Constitution, and I always will.
01:07:56.000 I had no right to overturn the election, and Kamala Harris will have no right to overturn the election when we beat them in 2024.
01:08:05.000 Thank you, Vice President Pence.
01:08:09.000 Now we are moving on to other issues.
01:08:12.000 We would not support it.
01:08:13.000 Awesome.
01:08:13.000 So awesome.
01:08:14.000 Our guy.
01:08:42.000 He's the guy, dude.
01:08:43.000 He's him.
01:08:44.000 What's that?
01:09:00.000 That's awesome.
01:09:01.000 Awesome.
01:09:01.000 So awesome.
01:09:02.000 Yes.
01:09:03.000 Awesome.
01:09:23.000 Awesome.
01:09:23.000 Yep.
01:09:24.000 Yes.
01:09:24.000 Kiev.
01:09:24.000 Wow.
01:09:41.000 I think that we have to put the interests of Americans first.
01:09:45.000 Secure our own border instead of somebody else's.
01:09:47.000 And the reality is, this is also how we project strength by making America strong at home.
01:10:11.000 And imagine that every one of these seats was filled.
01:10:15.000 And if every one of them was filled, there would still be 2,500 more children outside to make over 20,000 who have been abducted, stolen, ripped from their mothers and fathers, and brought back to Russia to be programmed to fight their own families.
01:10:33.000 They have gouged out people's eyes, cut off their ears, and
01:10:37.000 Shot people in the back of the head, men, and then gone into those homes and raped the daughters and the wives who were left as widows and orphans.
01:10:49.000 This is, this is the Vladimir Putin.
01:10:53.000 This is the Vladimir Putin.
01:10:55.000 Who Donald Trump called brilliant and a genius.
01:10:59.000 If we don't stand up against this type of autocratic killing in the world, we will be next.
01:11:09.000 I love the booing.
01:11:10.000 They're heckling him.
01:11:11.000 I have a question for Governor Haley.
01:11:13.000 We'll come back.
01:11:14.000 Vice President Pence was mentioned.
01:11:15.000 You get 30 seconds.
01:11:16.000 Yeah, well, let me be clear.
01:11:18.000 Anybody that thinks that we can't solve the problems here in the United States and be the leader of the free world,
01:11:23.000 Oh, shut the fuck up!
01:11:24.000 Pretty small view of the United States!
01:11:26.000 Shut the fuck up!
01:11:39.000 We'll give you the means to fight him there so our troops don't have to fight him.
01:11:42.000 Vivek, if we do the giveaway that you want to give to Putin to give him his land, it's not going to be too long before he rolls across a NATO border and frankly our men and women of our armed forces are going to have to go and fight him.
01:11:55.000 I want to let the Ukrainians fight and drive Putin and the Russians back out into Russia.
01:12:02.000 So our troops aren't going to have to make that fight.
01:12:05.000 I have a newsflash.
01:12:05.000 The USSR does not exist anymore.
01:12:07.000 It fell back in 1990.
01:12:09.000 It's a real threat.
01:12:10.000 You talked about the communists.
01:12:12.000 And the real communists that we have to address right now... Do you not have any idea what Vladimir Putin's aims are?
01:12:16.000 You already spoke.
01:12:18.000 Vladimir Putin has been saying he wants to re-establish the old Soviet sphere.
01:12:23.000 He's not aggressive enough.
01:12:25.000 I'm sorry if I insulted him by calling him a communist.
01:12:29.000 He is a dictator and a murderer and the United States of America needs to stand
01:12:34.000 He's getting steamrolled.
01:12:40.000 The real threat we face today is communist China.
01:12:43.000 And we are driving Russia further into China's arms.
01:12:47.000 The Russia-China military alliance is the single greatest threat we face.
01:12:51.000 Nobody in either political party is talking about it.
01:12:53.000 And I am the only non-neocon on this stage.
01:12:57.000 But it will keep us out of war.
01:12:58.000 Mr. Vice President, we can't hear.
01:12:59.000 Mr. Vice President.
01:13:03.000 They're just letting him.
01:13:04.000 But Vivek is letting him too.
01:13:05.000 These people are insane.
01:13:07.000 Shut the fuck up, bitch.
01:13:25.000 That means your time's done.
01:13:28.000 So, Mr. Vice President, we appreciate your aggressiveness here.
01:13:31.000 30 seconds is 30 seconds.
01:13:33.000 Mr. Ramaswamy, you were mentioned.
01:13:35.000 You get 30 seconds.
01:13:36.000 Now they're booing?
01:13:44.000 And I think that the same people who took us into the Iraq war, the same people who took us into the Vietnam war, you cannot end it, you cannot start another no-win war.
01:13:52.000 And I do not want to get to the point where we're sending our military resources abroad when we could be better using them here at home to protect our own borders, protect the homeland.
01:14:02.000 That will be my top priority in foreign policy.
01:14:04.000 I think we gave you more than the 30 seconds in the rebuttal.
01:14:06.000 So I do want to get to some other people because we respect everybody's time here.
01:14:12.000 That's the thing with these guys they're like smart and they're quick and clever, but they're not fighters Initially called it a territorial dispute it was a good answer, but he got steamrolled
01:14:29.000 First of all, the American president needs to have moral clarity.
01:14:32.000 They need to know the difference between right and wrong.
01:14:35.000 They need to know the difference between good and evil.
01:14:38.000 When you look at the situation with Russia and Ukraine, here you have a pro-American country that was invaded by a thug.
01:14:45.000 So when you want to talk about what has been given to Ukraine, less than 3.5% of our defense budget has been given to Ukraine.
01:14:54.000 If you look at the percentages per GDP, 11 of the European countries have given more than the U.S.
01:15:00.000 But what's really important is go back to when China and Russia held hands, shook hands before the Olympics and named themselves unlimited partners.
01:15:10.000 A win for Russia is a win for China.
01:15:13.000 We have to know that.
01:15:14.000 Insane.
01:15:15.000 Ha!
01:15:15.000 Israel!
01:15:15.000 That's a lot of rap.
01:15:16.000 Insane.
01:15:36.000 Neocons are insane.
01:15:38.000 Haha, let's go.
01:16:00.000 Absolutely insane.
01:16:01.000 Let's go.
01:16:23.000 Indians.
01:16:24.000 There are two Indians behind him.
01:16:41.000 He's getting cut.
01:16:41.000 Oh my gosh.
01:16:47.000 Oh, great.
01:17:05.000 That's crazy.
01:17:31.000 No, it's not a territorial dispute either.
01:17:32.000 Hysterical bitch.
01:17:33.000 Nice.
01:17:33.000 We can do both at the same time.
01:17:54.000 Look at her.
01:17:54.000 She's a freak, dude.
01:17:54.000 Okay, based.
01:17:55.000 DeSantis dub on this one.
01:17:56.000 Wow.
01:17:56.000 That was crazy.
01:18:17.000 China has the biggest navy in the world, the biggest army in the world.
01:18:20.000 Now they have warships off the coast of Alaska.
01:18:23.000 They are threatening Taiwan.
01:18:25.000 In coming years, China will have 1,500 nuclear warheads, it's believed.
01:18:30.000 The U.S.
01:18:30.000 just arrested two sailors accused of spying for China within our military.
01:18:36.000 So the question is, how would you deter China as a president?
01:18:41.000 Well, this is the number one issue we're facing, and of course we haven't been talking about it, and we act like that letting Russia win in the Ukraine is like a gimme as opposed to a gift to China.
01:18:51.000 Russia has become China's gas station, but how would we do it?
01:18:55.000 The Biden administration is a complete fail.
01:18:57.000 China imports 10 million barrels of oil a day more than any other country in the world.
01:19:03.000 They do not even have all the food they need to feed everybody in that country, so they don't have energy security or food security.
01:19:08.000 But the Biden administration sends Blinken, Yellen over there.
01:19:14.000 They don't even bring up energy because they're too busy trying to kill the U.S.
01:19:18.000 energy here.
01:19:19.000 And what we need to do is not meetings, not press releases, because something that would send a lot more than a press release is actually harpoon missiles.
01:19:27.000 We need anti-ship missiles on Taiwan.
01:19:30.000 The way that you have a war never start, which is the goal, the way you have peace through strength,
01:19:36.000 Is that you actually have strength you actually have deterrence and what we have in in in what we've got going on in Ukraine is an example of when deterrence fail what we what is an example there of Biden's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan the fact that he green-lighted Putin moving into Ukraine and then now they see weakness and when they see weakness they make a move and we have to be strong and we have to be strong both in Ukraine and we can solve the southern border absolutely we can do that
01:20:01.000 Because guess what?
01:20:02.000 There's only 19,855 authorized people for the Border Patrol.
01:20:06.000 But they're not all staff, because the Biden administration doesn't enforce law enforcement.
01:20:10.000 But Biden administration wanted to put 87,000 people in the IRS, as opposed to giving the money in this fort we need to our own Border Patrol.
01:20:19.000 Okay.
01:20:19.000 Senator Scott on China.
01:20:22.000 That same question.
01:20:24.000 Let's fire the 87,000 IRS agents and hire or double the number of Border Patrol agents.
01:20:32.000 I just left Yuma, Arizona about two weeks ago.
01:20:35.000 The most pressing need of the American people from a national security standpoint is our southern border.
01:20:42.000 It has led to the death of 70,000 Americans because of fentanyl.
01:20:48.000 Plus, six million illegal crossings since President Biden has taken office.
01:20:53.000 Six million?
01:20:55.000 And 200 people on our national security watch list have been caught at our border.
01:21:01.000 How many have not been caught at our southern border?
01:21:05.000 If we just spend $10 billion, we could finish the wall.
01:21:10.000 For five billion more, we could have the military-grade technology to surveil our southern border to stop the flow of fentanyl and save 70,000 Americans a year.
01:21:24.000 That should be the priority of this government, and as the next president of the United States, I will make that border wall
01:21:34.000 I want to say I couldn't agree more.
01:21:39.000 It's not just the 70,000 from fentanyl.
01:21:41.000 We've lost 200,000 people to overdoses since Biden took office.
01:21:45.000 That's 300 people a day.
01:21:46.000 We're taking mass casualties and those aren't, that's a statistic, but these are sons and daughters, nieces and nephews that we're losing.
01:21:53.000 We've got North Dakota troops down there flying night helicopter missions from San Diego to the Gulf Coast trying to stop these transnational
01:22:00.000 Alright.
01:22:02.000 Speaking of which, Governor Hutchinson, speaking of which, images from earlier this month, Governor Hutchinson and Vice President Pence, images from earlier this month, Vice President Pence, it really doesn't help.
01:22:17.000 I'm asking a question.
01:22:19.000 Earlier this month,
01:22:22.000 The images showed suspected cartel members crossing into Texas with rifles.
01:22:27.000 Do you consider this an invasion?
01:22:31.000 Would you authorize lethal force along that border?
01:22:36.000 There would be lethal force used by the Border Patrol, law enforcement as needed to protect the border.
01:22:44.000 Absolutely.
01:22:45.000 When you look at the military, the military has to be used for intelligence gathering purposes.
01:22:50.000 This is not unusual.
01:22:52.000 Whenever I was in the Bush administration, we went down there and met with President Vincente Fox of Mexico and asked his help in going after the cartels.
01:23:03.000 And he looked at me and said, they're a problem to us as well.
01:23:06.000 And so we joined together and we took down the Ariana Felix brothers leading the Tijuana cartel.
01:23:14.000 And that made a difference.
01:23:15.000 Ramon was shot and killed and Ben Amin was captured.
01:23:19.000 Cooperation makes a difference.
01:23:21.000 We cannot be successful going against the cartel unless we bring in Mexico as a partner.
01:23:29.000 We have to use economic pressure to accomplish that.
01:23:32.000 President Obrador has not been helpful, and we have to use economic pressure that this administration is not using.
01:23:38.000 The rule of law has to matter on both sides of it.
01:23:41.000 This is critical.
01:23:43.000 I've done it.
01:23:44.000 We know what needs to be done.
01:23:46.000 The military has to be limited in its use.
01:23:50.000 After 9-11, we had the global war on terror, and guess what?
01:23:55.000 We protected the border at the same time.
01:23:58.000 You can do both.
01:23:59.000 Okay, let's go to Governor DeSantis.
01:24:02.000 Fifth
01:24:18.000 Yes.
01:24:18.000 Yes, and I will do it on day one.
01:24:21.000 Here's the thing.
01:24:23.000 The cartels are killing tens of thousands of our fellow citizens.
01:24:28.000 You want to talk about a country in decline?
01:24:30.000 You have the cartels controlling a lot of part of your southern border.
01:24:34.000 We have to reestablish the rule of law, and we have to defend our people.
01:24:40.000 The President of the United States has got to use all available powers as Commander-in-Chief to protect our country and to protect the people.
01:24:49.000 So when they're coming across, yes, we're going to use lethal force.
01:24:52.000 Yes, we reserve the right to operate.
01:24:55.000 How many more tens of thousands are we going to let to die?
01:24:58.000 I am sick.
01:24:58.000 I've met angel moms throughout this country.
01:25:01.000 I met a lady in Texas named Tracy, and her son took one Percocet,
01:25:08.000 I love how he kind of talks like an Italian.
01:25:11.000 Like, he kind of reminds me of my mom.
01:25:27.000 Vice President Pence, why would you be better at this issue than Governor DeSantis?
01:25:32.000 Governor DeSantis on the campaign trail refers to your administration as not finishing the wall.
01:25:38.000 Right, right.
01:25:40.000 Look, we secured the southern border of the United States of America and reduced illegal immigration and asylum abuse by 90%.
01:25:52.000 When Joe Biden took over, he threw open the southern border of the United States.
01:25:56.000 And the wave of humanity, the wave of fentanyl that's been eloquently described here is a wave of human tragedy across this country.
01:26:04.000 But, Martha, you began this evening talking about who is best prepared to be the next president of the United States.
01:26:10.000 And I have to tell you, with all humility,
01:26:13.000 I was there when we negotiated through the government shutdown and got the funding available to build the wall.
01:26:21.000 I was negotiating on Capitol Hill around the clock.
01:26:24.000 I negotiated the Remain in Mexico policy on behalf of the President of the United States.
01:26:28.000 And, A.C., you're so right.
01:26:29.000 It's because we used economic pressure to bring the Mexicans to the table, and they allowed us to have people wait in Mexico while they applied for asylum and ended asylum abuse overnight.
01:26:41.000 We got the Mexicans to deploy their National Guard to their southern border and our southern border as never before.
01:26:49.000 And I want to promise you, as President of the United States of America, I will engage Mexico the exact same way, and we will partner with the Mexican military, and we will hunt down and destroy the cartels that are claiming lives in the United States of America.
01:27:06.000 Thank you.
01:27:06.000 Another issue that is related to this is that almost 7 million migrants have crossed this border, our southern border, during the Biden administration.
01:27:17.000 So, Governor Christie, what would you do about the 7 million who are here?
01:27:22.000 How would you handle them?
01:27:23.000 What would you do?
01:27:24.000 Look, Martha, the first thing we need to do is to stop anymore from coming.
01:27:28.000 That's the first thing we need to do.
01:27:30.000 Then, the next thing we need to do with the folks that are here is to, again, as we've talked about all night tonight, we have to have law and order in this country.
01:27:39.000 We have to enforce the law.
01:27:41.000 And what that means is to make sure that people who come here illegally
01:27:46.000 What the?
01:27:46.000 Dude, that was like a jump scare.
01:27:48.000 Was that on their end or my end?
01:28:14.000 And one last thing on this fentanyl issue.
01:28:16.000 Did you hear that?
01:28:17.000 That was like, dude, that was a jumpscare.
01:28:20.000 Yes, it's important that we secure the border.
01:28:23.000 Very important, as I just said.
01:28:25.000 But China is sending these chemicals to these drug cartels for them to create the fentanyl that is killing hundreds of thousands of our citizens.
01:28:35.000 The Chinese are engaging in an act of war against us, killing our citizens.
01:28:40.000 We better make that priority one in our conversations with China and to try to straighten that relationship out, because if we don't, we're going to lose more and more of our citizens.
01:28:49.000 I just want to clarify.
01:28:50.000 Would you send those people back?
01:28:53.000 Of course.
01:28:55.000 You'd have to.
01:28:57.000 We have a lot of issues that Americans care about.
01:29:00.000 Next up, we're going to talk about the crisis in education, as millions of American children are not proficient in reading or math.
01:29:08.000 After this.
01:29:10.000 All right, this sucks now.
01:29:11.000 I'm bored.
01:29:12.000 I'm bored.
01:29:13.000 Look, none of these people are gonna be president, and they all suck, and they're all boring, and they're all neocons.
01:29:21.000 That section about Ukraine was crazy.
01:29:27.000 That was the most fired up any of them were.
01:29:29.000 Like Nikki Haley was PMSing about Ukraine going insane.
01:29:35.000 Same thing with Mike Pence.
01:29:38.000 Honestly, that was a really bad moment for Vivek.
01:29:41.000 He just got his ass kicked.
01:29:43.000 You know?
01:29:45.000 That would never happen to Trump.
01:29:47.000 He just backed down.
01:29:48.000 He just doesn't understand how to fight.
01:29:51.000 Like, when people are attacking him, he's looking at them.
01:29:54.000 And he's, like, waiting for them to finish.
01:29:55.000 You can't do that.
01:29:58.000 And also, Nikki Haley was steamrolling him, too, because she saw that he was weak.
01:30:06.000 This stuff is very subconscious.
01:30:10.000 Like, right out of the gate, Vivek was getting interrupted and he kind of let people interrupt him.
01:30:14.000 He was, like, smiling while they were doing it and looking at them and waiting for them to finish.
01:30:19.000 And then everybody picked up on, oh, we can interrupt him.
01:30:21.000 Like, oh, he's weak.
01:30:22.000 He'll take it.
01:30:25.000 And so even though he had the right take on Ukraine, he just got dominated by Pence, and then he got dominated by Haley.
01:30:31.000 And they totally talked over him, and she tore him a new asshole, and then the crowd was screaming, and he was talking, but the crowd was yelling over him.
01:30:42.000 Not good.
01:30:42.000 Not good.
01:30:43.000 L stage presence.
01:30:45.000 L stage presence.
01:30:46.000 L execution.
01:30:52.000 That's a thing though.
01:30:52.000 I mean, you know You can be a good talker.
01:30:55.000 You could be eloquent in those things, but it's a different environment when you introduce a hostile Person hostile Situation That said I mean he's doing the best out of anybody he's got the best his his his
01:31:16.000 Substance has been flawless.
01:31:18.000 The content of what he's saying has been flawless.
01:31:20.000 He's been excellent and better than expected and way ahead of everybody else on the stage by far, obviously.
01:31:26.000 He's the only good thing on the stage.
01:31:29.000 But... He's getting his lunch eaten by these other people.
01:31:33.000 Those were not strong moments.
01:31:35.000 Those were very weak.
01:31:36.000 And his suit doesn't quite fit.
01:31:37.000 Every time he gestures, his suit is like, uh...
01:31:42.000 You know, it's not on his shirt properly.
01:31:44.000 So the suit... He's a billionaire.
01:31:46.000 He should be able to get a suit that fits right.
01:31:49.000 But that's nitpicking, I suppose.
01:31:50.000 He's been doing pretty good.
01:31:51.000 Everybody else, though, is just like a nightmare.
01:31:54.000 This is what we would have if it wasn't for Trump.
01:31:56.000 This is what we would be left with if Trump was out of the picture, in jail, doesn't run.
01:32:03.000 And this is what it'll be in the future.
01:32:05.000 Like, imagine if there's no Trump and there's no Vivek.
01:32:08.000 That's 2028.
01:32:08.000 That's 2032.
01:32:09.000 That's what we got.
01:32:13.000 So, pretty depressing situation.
01:32:18.000 But, um... Yeah, I'm just running out of steam.
01:32:22.000 I'm getting bored.
01:32:23.000 Like, I don't want to hear Doug Burgum.
01:32:26.000 He's not gonna win.
01:32:27.000 No one even knows who he is.
01:32:28.000 Same thing with Asa Hutchinson.
01:32:29.000 It's like, why are we entertaining all that?
01:32:31.000 They should have just had, like, six candidates.
01:32:35.000 It really should not have been those other two.
01:32:37.000 It should have been those six guys, nobody else.
01:32:42.000 And even still, the whole thing is just ridiculous when you consider that Trump's not even there.
01:32:46.000 Like, what a clown show.
01:32:48.000 That Trump is leading by 40 points, presumptive nominee, he's not even in attendance.
01:32:55.000 So the whole thing is just, uh, silly.
01:32:58.000 But I'm just doing it because it's content.
01:33:00.000 We'll probably react to the Trump interview tomorrow.
01:33:02.000 Maybe I'll stream the Trump interview in lieu of a show tomorrow night.
01:33:08.000 It looks like we're back.
01:33:09.000 We got like 25 minutes left.
01:33:11.000 I just want this thing to be over.
01:33:12.000 I'm ready.
01:33:13.000 Your report card was the weakest ever for American school children, exposing chronic absenteeism, deep declines for reading and math for 15-year-olds and 13-year-olds.
01:33:25.000 Governor DeSantis, you would eliminate, you said, the Department of Education.
01:33:30.000 But as president, would you still have a responsibility to fix this crisis as we see it?
01:33:36.000 Absolutely.
01:33:37.000 The decline in education is one of the major reasons why our country is in decline.
01:33:42.000 We need education in this country, not indoctrination in this country.
01:33:47.000 And in Florida...
01:33:49.000 Florida, we stood up for what was right.
01:33:51.000 First, we had schools open during COVID, and a lot of the problems that we've seen are because these lockdown states lock their kids out of school for a year, year and a half.
01:33:59.000 That was wrong.
01:34:00.000 We stood up.
01:34:01.000 I took a lot of fire for that.
01:34:02.000 I was pilloried by the media, but I stood for our kids.
01:34:05.000 And as president, I'll stand for you and your kids as well.
01:34:08.000 But we have to make sure that what our schools are doing is focusing on solid academics.
01:34:15.000 In Florida, we eliminated critical race theory from our K-12 schools.
01:34:19.000 We eliminated gender ideology from our K-12 schools, and we have elevated the importance of American civics in teaching our kids about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
01:34:31.000 As president, I'm going to lead an effort to increase civic understanding and knowledge of our Constitution.
01:34:38.000 We cannot be graduating students that don't have any foundation in what it means to be an American.
01:34:44.000 That's so dumb, man.
01:34:48.000 Mr. Ramaswamy, hold on, Senator Scott.
01:34:50.000 You've said that the Department of Education, the FBI, the ATF, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the IRS, the Department of Commerce, many of these should not exist.
01:35:00.000 That's correct.
01:35:01.000 So, to the education question, how would you deal with the crisis?
01:35:05.000 So look, we have a crisis of achievement.
01:35:07.000 Let's shut down the head of the snake, the Department of Education.
01:35:10.000 Take that $80 billion, put it in the hands of parents across this country.
01:35:15.000 This is the civil rights issue of our time.
01:35:17.000 Allow any parent to choose where they send their kids to school.
01:35:21.000 End the teachers unions at the local level to allow public schools to compete.
01:35:26.000 And then revive our national identity where every high school senior should have to pass the same civics test that frankly every immigrant, including my mother, had to pass in order to become a citizen of this country.
01:35:39.000 And the fact of the matter is, look, there's a part of education policy that also rests with the family.
01:35:45.000 I didn't grow up in money.
01:35:46.000 But you know the word privilege gets used a lot?
01:35:49.000 Well, you know what?
01:35:49.000 I did have the ultimate privilege of two parents in the house with a focus on educational achievement.
01:35:55.000 And I want every kid to enjoy that.
01:35:57.000 So part of the problem is we also have a federal government that pays single women more not to have a man in the house than to have a man in the house, contributing to an epidemic of fatherlessness.
01:36:08.000 And I think that goes hand-in-glove with the education crisis as well, because we have to remember, education starts with the family, and the nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to mankind.
01:36:20.000 That was good.
01:36:21.000 That was a good answer.
01:36:26.000 Governor Haley has said that biological boys playing in girls sports is the women's issue of our time.
01:36:32.000 You said that even though you signed a ban on this in North Dakota that there hadn't been one instance where it was actually needed.
01:36:40.000 Are you saying that you think that too much is made of this issue?
01:36:44.000 No, I'm saying in North Dakota we made a priority of protecting women's sports, and we've done that in our state.
01:36:50.000 But I would absolutely do that.
01:36:52.000 But I do think when we start talking about education, and we think that we're going to have a federal government, one size fits all, we're just completely losing track of the fact that education differs by state.
01:37:03.000 Some school districts are doing a fantastic job, some less so.
01:37:06.000 But the idea that every school district in the state and every teacher is somehow indoctrinating people is just false.
01:37:12.000 You think?
01:37:28.000 No one cares.
01:37:29.000 Nobody cares.
01:37:50.000 Not regulation.
01:37:51.000 I would get rid of the Department of Education.
01:37:53.000 I would give block grants to schools, but I'd give them on merit based on who's doing the most innovative.
01:37:58.000 I just got done holding the seventh annual Governor's Conference on Innovation and Education.
01:38:02.000 You should see what the people are doing when you cut loose the red tape, get the burden off their back.
01:38:07.000 They care.
01:38:08.000 Teachers in this country, the vast majority of them care about those kids.
01:38:12.000 They're working in low-paying jobs, and they're fighting, fighting for those kids and their families.
01:38:16.000 Governor Haley, you said that this is the women's issue of our time.
01:38:20.000 First, I'll tell you, as, you know, as a parent, the one thing you want is for your child to have a better life than you did.
01:38:27.000 And we can talk about all of these things, and there's a lot of crazy woke things happening in schools, but we've got to get these kids reading.
01:38:34.000 If a child can't read by third grade, they're four times less likely to graduate high school.
01:38:39.000 I can't read.
01:38:39.000 Black people can't read.
01:38:40.000 We need to teach these black kids to read.
01:39:01.000 When we do that and we allow that innovation, that's when it'll get back.
01:39:05.000 And yes, I will always say I'm gonna fight for girls all day long because strong girls become strong women, strong women become strong leaders, and biological boys don't belong in the locker rooms of any of our girls.
01:39:19.000 What about boys?
01:39:20.000 You gonna support boys?
01:39:22.000 The first question is going to go to you, Vice President.
01:39:25.000 So this is a lightning round of questions.
01:39:27.000 Thirty-second answers, please.
01:39:30.000 President Biden will be 82 years old on Inauguration Day.
01:39:34.000 Nearly 70% of Americans say that he is too old to serve.
01:39:39.000 Should presidents have to pass a mental and physical test in order to serve Vice President Pence?
01:39:47.000 Well, it might be a good idea to have everybody in Washington, D.C.
01:39:51.000 pass a medal.
01:39:56.000 Shut up!
01:39:57.000 No, the American people can make those judgments.
01:39:59.000 But let me say, I'm running for president of the United States because we don't need a president who's too old, and we don't need a president who's too young.
01:40:08.000 We need a president who's been there.
01:40:11.000 We need a president who knows how Congress works, how the White House works, how states work.
01:40:16.000 And on this education issue, Martha, I was fighting against No Child Left Behind when Republicans were doubling the Department of Education.
01:40:23.000 I'll also shut down the Federal Department of Education.
01:40:26.000 And when I was governor, we doubled the size of the largest school choice program in America, and we'll give school choice to every family in America when I'm in the White House.
01:40:37.000 This is a lightning round, Mr. Ramaswamy.
01:40:39.000 I think you were mentioned there.
01:40:41.000 You're 38.
01:40:41.000 You're the youngest on the stage.
01:40:43.000 You've said, and you just said, you want a civics test or public service for those under 25 to be able to vote.
01:40:48.000 So the question is, do you want a mental acuity test for presidents over 75?
01:40:54.000 I believe in the people of this country to tell the difference between somebody who's an automaton and somebody who's actually a thinking agent in the White House, which we don't have in there today.
01:41:02.000 And I will tell you, I want to address Vice President Pence's comment.
01:41:05.000 I think we do need somebody of a different generation to lead this nation forward.
01:41:10.000 Look at the way I've run this campaign.
01:41:12.000 Going to the south side of Chicago, to Kensington, in the middle of Philadelphia, where traditional Republican candidates don't go.
01:41:18.000 We have an opportunity to build a multi-ethnic, working class majority to deliver a landslide.
01:41:24.000 And I think I'm the only candidate in this race, young or old, black or white, to bring all of those voters along to deliver a Reagan 1980 revolution.
01:41:32.000 What are we doing in 2024?
01:41:35.000 Listen, listen, we're getting control of the debate.
01:41:38.000 This is a lightning round, not rolling thunder.
01:41:40.000 Governor Hutchinson, you have 30 seconds on the same question.
01:41:54.000 Marvel!
01:41:55.000 I'm in computer class.
01:42:20.000 Meemaw, help me with my computer homework!
01:42:24.000 I can't help you with that computer homework!
01:42:28.000 I don't believe that.
01:42:29.000 I don't think they are number one.
01:42:31.000 Arkansas?
01:42:31.000 Probably Massachusetts would be number one, I would think.
01:42:33.000 So is there a role for a president of the United States in changing that?
01:42:38.000 What would you do to change that?
01:42:47.000 Shut up!
01:42:48.000 Shut up!
01:43:05.000 On education, the only way we change education in this nation is to break the backs of the teachers' unions.
01:43:13.000 They are standing in the doorhouse of our kids, locking them into failing schools and locking them out of the greatest future they could have.
01:43:25.000 As president, Governor DeSantis, would you support some mandatory military service for all Americans?
01:43:30.000 I think it should be voluntary.
01:43:31.000 I'm somebody that volunteered to serve, inspired by September 11th, and I deployed to Iraq alongside U.S.
01:43:38.000 Navy SEALs in places like Fallujah, Ramadi, and it's something that I think has taught me, you know, when you go in that type of environment, anything you have, your personal agenda, you check it at the door.
01:43:51.000 You go there and it's about focusing on the mission above all else.
01:43:55.000 And guys come together and they get it done.
01:43:58.000 And that's how I would view being the President of the United States.
01:44:02.000 It's not about me.
01:44:03.000 It's not about all these other side issues.
01:44:05.000 My sole focus will be on your future and reversing this country's decline.
01:44:11.000 Okay, now for something a little out of this world, and this is for you, Governor Christie.
01:44:16.000 Do you believe that the recent spike in UFO encounters... I get the UFO question?
01:44:22.000 Come on, man!
01:44:27.000 Okay, we've been hearing a lot of testimony in Congress, and people are taking this a lot more seriously, and we're hearing that, you know, there are things going on that people aren't aware of.
01:44:37.000 So, if you were president, Governor Christie, would you level with the American people about what the government knows about these possible
01:44:48.000 Look, Martha, and especially coming from a woman from New Jersey, I think it's horrible that just because I'm from New Jersey you asked me about unidentified flying objects and Martians.
01:45:00.000 We're different, but we're not that different.
01:45:03.000 Look, of course, the job of the President of the United States is to level with the American people about everything.
01:45:11.000 The job of the President of the United States is to stand for truth.
01:45:16.000 The job of the President of the United States is to be a role model for our children and our grandchildren.
01:45:22.000 And so whether it was UFOs or this problem of education, and Tim's right by the way, and I started this in 2010 by going right after the teachers unions in New Jersey and drove them down to an all-time low popularity rating because they were putting themselves before our kids.
01:45:38.000 That is the biggest threat to our country, not UFOs.
01:45:42.000 Okay.
01:45:43.000 Well, coming up, we've got Closing Arguments Plus right after the debate.
01:45:47.000 Hannity is live from the spin room right here in the FiveServe Forum.
01:45:52.000 Hannity sucks.
01:45:53.000 Okay.
01:45:53.000 That was terrible.
01:45:57.000 I'm done, dude.
01:45:57.000 I'm tapped out.
01:45:59.000 Let's just wrap this up.
01:46:00.000 Are they really doing another break?
01:46:04.000 I don't even have anything to say.
01:46:05.000 Once the debate is over, I'm gonna read the Super Chats and then that's it.
01:46:08.000 I said the other night that I would do, like, maybe I'd do another monologue about the debate, but there's nothing to say.
01:46:14.000 This whole thing sucked.
01:46:15.000 None of these people are gonna win.
01:46:18.000 So...
01:46:20.000 That's really all there is to say about it.
01:46:23.000 We'll wrap up the debate.
01:46:24.000 I'll read the Super Chats.
01:46:25.000 We'll call it tomorrow.
01:46:26.000 I'll be streaming the arraignment of Trump.
01:46:29.000 Trump will be arraigned.
01:46:30.000 I believe it'll be televised.
01:46:32.000 So I'll be live streaming that on Cozy and on Rumble.
01:46:34.000 Make sure to follow me.
01:46:36.000 If you haven't already, do it before the debate ends.
01:46:38.000 Follow me here on Cozy.
01:46:40.000 Cozy.tv slash Nick.
01:46:41.000 Follow me on Rumble.
01:46:43.000 Rumble.com slash Nick J. Fuentes.
01:46:46.000 We're gonna finish the debate.
01:46:47.000 I'm just telling you while you're all still here, follow me on all platforms and I'll be back tomorrow live streaming the arraignment and I will be doing the Trump-Tucker interview as well.
01:46:58.000 I'll do that tomorrow.
01:47:00.000 So... That'll be our... That's our game plan for tomorrow.
01:47:05.000 Arraignment and interview.
01:47:07.000 I'll probably do the interview tomorrow at like 9.
01:47:10.000 Okay?
01:47:12.000 But yeah, this whole debate was just a total flop.
01:47:15.000 Total joke.
01:47:18.000 And like I said, it just goes to show, this is our future after Trump.
01:47:21.000 All these, like, psycho neocons like Nikki Haley, Mike Pence.
01:47:26.000 These people are delusional.
01:47:29.000 And I'm so sick of this, like, Judeo-Christian, greatest country on God's green earth.
01:47:36.000 We need a government as good as our people.
01:47:38.000 Like, I'm just... I'm over that.
01:47:42.000 We're done with that kind of thing.
01:47:45.000 And here's why.
01:47:46.000 It's not Judeo-Christian, it's Christian.
01:47:48.000 2.
01:47:48.000 America's no longer the greatest country in the world.
01:47:50.000 Newsflash. 3.
01:47:54.000 We have problems, okay?
01:47:55.000 Our people have problems.
01:47:57.000 The country has problems.
01:47:58.000 This, like, constant, we're the greatest country, we could do both, we're the best, you have a pretty small opinion of America.
01:48:05.000 That was the worst moment, is when Mike Pence said, if you think we can't defend our border and fight in Ukraine, you have a pretty small opinion of America.
01:48:13.000 It's like, that kind of bravado is just, it's just ignorant now.
01:48:18.000 You know, we did that already.
01:48:20.000 We did that 20 years ago, when we went into Iraq.
01:48:23.000 And we said, you know, we could do everything and, like, look at our country now.
01:48:27.000 Our country's a... it's a mess.
01:48:28.000 It's a total shithole.
01:48:30.000 If you think we can't do both, you must... We can't!
01:48:33.000 We aren't!
01:48:34.000 We're not doing any of it right.
01:48:36.000 We're not winning this war.
01:48:37.000 We didn't win in Iraq.
01:48:38.000 We didn't win in Afghanistan.
01:48:39.000 The border's open.
01:48:41.000 We can't do either!
01:48:42.000 Forget about both!
01:48:43.000 We can't do either.
01:48:47.000 You must have a pretty small opinion of America!
01:48:50.000 As if, like, there's any shame in being strategic.
01:48:56.000 That's just, like, total propaganda from the Bushiers, from the neocons.
01:49:02.000 Total hubris and just, like, painfully ignorant.
01:49:10.000 And all the rest of it is just the same, you know.
01:49:12.000 And this stuff about the Constitution, the guy pulling out the pocket Constitution.
01:49:17.000 This is what the opposition looks like?
01:49:19.000 This is the opposition?
01:49:21.000 Pocket Constitution!
01:49:24.000 He said he would suspend the Constitution.
01:49:27.000 Good!
01:49:27.000 It's our turn to suspend the Constitution.
01:49:29.000 They suspended it.
01:49:31.000 Now it's our turn.
01:49:35.000 The election was stolen.
01:49:36.000 Nobody even talks about that.
01:49:38.000 It's just crazy.
01:49:40.000 That's why it's so important Trump gets back in because otherwise there's no opposition.
01:49:46.000 If Trump doesn't win, this is the GOP and they will not oppose the system anymore.
01:49:53.000 Black Rifle, this is the shit that we're gonna get.
01:49:55.000 This is what you have left.
01:49:58.000 Birch Gold, Black Rifle Coffee, Rumble.
01:50:04.000 Rumble's okay.
01:50:06.000 The song, the Oliver Anthony, Rich Man, North Rich Man song.
01:50:12.000 Living in a new world.
01:50:17.000 I've been singing that for the last two weeks.
01:50:19.000 Living in a new world.
01:50:24.000 Like that's what's left.
01:50:26.000 If there's no Trump,
01:50:28.000 We just get this ridiculous Boomer Hillbilly shit.
01:50:31.000 This Ronald Reagan... Even Vivek had a terrible answer this time when he said, Well, I'm a young guy.
01:50:37.000 I'm gonna bring together a multi-ethnic, working-class, Reagan-style victory.
01:50:42.000 No, you're fucking not.
01:50:46.000 Living in a new world!
01:50:47.000 We're white.
01:51:12.000 Living in a new world!
01:51:12.000 Shut up!
01:51:13.000 All we get is this Reagan crap.
01:51:14.000 Ronald Reagan said, Ronald Reagan said Ronald Reagan is dead.
01:51:39.000 I understand why America's hurting.
01:51:40.000 I grew up in a small town.
01:51:46.000 My dad died when I was a freshman in high school.
01:51:49.000 My mom, widow of three, went back to work.
01:51:51.000 Every job I had growing up was one where I took a shower at the end of the day, not at the beginning of the day.
01:51:59.000 Our cities are less safe because of the fentanyl pouring into this country.
01:52:02.000 Our economy is being crushed by Biden's energy policies, which are raising the cost of every product you buy, not just the gasoline at the pump.
01:52:10.000 One thing that I'll do as president, I'll secure the border.
01:52:14.000 I'll get this economy sprinting, not crawling like it is right now.
01:52:19.000 And I would say that other thing is for sure, when I'm on a horseback in the Badlands of North Dakota, it looks like the horizon is just limitless.
01:52:27.000 So bad.
01:52:28.000 What about a horse?
01:52:30.000 And it looks like the sky.
01:52:31.000 Cramming.
01:52:31.000 You're cramming.
01:52:46.000 Make it stop.
01:52:47.000 Make it stop.
01:52:47.000 Yeah, absolutely.
01:52:48.000 And back home.
01:52:49.000 You're a lizard.
01:53:04.000 The solution is not four more years of Donald Trump.
01:53:08.000 The solution is new leadership that can bring bold ideas to America and to bring out the best of America.
01:53:17.000 A president's number one responsibility is to bring out the best of our people.
01:53:23.000 That's what Ronald Reagan did.
01:53:24.000 And he did it with optimism and hope for our country with consistent conservatism.
01:53:30.000 That's exactly what I bring.
01:53:32.000 As President, I'll bring out the best of America in terms of individual responsibility, building our economy, in terms of securing our border, enforcing the rule of law.
01:53:44.000 I'll bring out the best of America in terms of our national character, our faith, and our hope for the future.
01:53:50.000 Join in this fight.
01:53:51.000 Asa2024.com.
01:53:52.000 Thank you Senator Scott.
01:53:53.000 Thank you.
01:53:58.000 With an old soul!
01:54:00.000 Yeah, okay.
01:54:01.000 I heard a single mom.
01:54:01.000 You're black!
01:54:02.000 We get it, you're black!
01:54:04.000 Rose said I was poor and had no daddy.
01:54:06.000 Yeah, we know.
01:54:07.000 You're black.
01:54:07.000 You can't read.
01:54:08.000 I ain't got no daddy!
01:54:09.000 Unlike them, I ain't got no daddy and I was poor.
01:54:24.000 We know.
01:54:24.000 Let's go.
01:54:25.000 F*** you.
01:54:25.000 No.
01:54:25.000 No.
01:54:49.000 Thank you, Brett.
01:54:50.000 Thank you, Martha.
01:54:51.000 Look, everyone on this stage wants to be the next president of the United States.
01:54:55.000 And the only way that's gonna happen is if we beat Joe Biden.
01:54:59.000 I'm the only one on this stage who's ever beaten a Democratic incumbent in an election.
01:55:03.000 I did it in a deep blue state, being outspent 3 to 1.
01:55:07.000 Beating a Democratic incumbent is not easy.
01:55:10.000 The last Democratic incumbent president who was defeated was Jimmy Carter.
01:55:14.000 Just like you!
01:55:22.000 You're just like Reagan.
01:55:23.000 Thank you.
01:55:23.000 Governor Haley.
01:55:51.000 Several weeks ago, I dropped my husband Michael, a combat veteran from Afghanistan, off at 4 a.m.
01:55:58.000 for another year-long deployment.
01:56:01.000 I watched him and 230 soldiers pick up their two duffel bags of belongings to go to a country they had never been, all in the name of protecting America.
01:56:12.000 If they are willing to protect us from there, we should be willing to fight for America here.
01:56:19.000 I will beat Joe Biden, and he knows that.
01:56:22.000 I will strengthen our economy, and we'll bring this inflation down.
01:56:25.000 We will put transparency in the classroom.
01:56:27.000 Transparents?
01:56:28.000 In the classroom?
01:56:29.000 White pride.
01:56:30.000 But not white pride, right?
01:56:30.000 Still would, though.
01:56:31.000 Would.
01:56:31.000 This idiot.
01:56:57.000 I hate this guy so much.
01:57:21.000 The Republican Party owes the American people the choice.
01:57:23.000 He's an actor.
01:57:24.000 This guy's an actor.
01:57:25.000 Proven leadership at the national level that knows how to move a conservative agenda forward.
01:57:29.000 Proven conservative record.
01:57:30.000 Proven leadership.
01:57:30.000 We've proven in the Trump-Pence years you can turn this country around faster than you can imagine.
01:57:34.000 And I have faith we will again.
01:57:36.000 Because I have faith in the American people.
01:57:39.000 Good, decent, hard-working, faith-filled, idealistic people in this country.
01:57:42.000 And I have faith that God is not done with America yet.
01:57:46.000 And if we will renew our faith in one another and renew our faith in Him who has ever guided this nation since we arrived on these wilderness shores, I know the best days for the greatest nation on earth are yet to come.
01:57:59.000 Thank you.
01:58:00.000 Yeah, I don't think so.
01:58:02.000 I was born in 1985, and I grew up into a generation where we were taught to celebrate our diversity and our differences so much that we forgot all of the ways we are really just the same as Americans, bound by a common set of ideals that set this nation into motion in 1776.
01:58:22.000 And this is our moment to revive those common ideals.
01:58:26.000 God is real.
01:58:27.000 There are two genders.
01:58:29.000 Fossil fuels are a requirement for human prosperity.
01:58:32.000 Reverse racism is racism.
01:58:35.000 An open border is not a border.
01:58:37.000 Parents determine the education of their children.
01:58:41.000 The nuclear family is the greatest form of governance known to man.
01:58:45.000 Capitalism lifts us up from poverty.
01:58:48.000 There are three branches of government, not four.
01:58:52.000 And the U.S.
01:58:52.000 Constitution,
01:58:53.000 That's a joke, by the way.
01:58:54.000 That was pretty good.
01:58:55.000 Haha, look at the- what the heck?
01:59:16.000 What?
01:59:16.000 Oh, another Reagan reference.
01:59:18.000 A time for choosing?
01:59:32.000 Seriously?
01:59:33.000 Oh, you're gay?
01:59:33.000 You're 6'5"?
01:59:50.000 We showed it could be done.
01:59:52.000 I made promises, and I delivered on all of those promises.
01:59:55.000 2024 is make or break.
01:59:57.000 We're not getting a mulligan.
01:59:59.000 No excuses.
02:00:01.000 I will get the job done, and as your president, I will not let you down.
02:00:05.000 God bless you all.
02:00:07.000 What the heck?! !
02:00:10.000 Someone says six five three-year-old.
02:00:12.000 I'm a father to a six five three-year-old.
02:00:15.000 Did he say as a three-year-old that six five?
02:00:17.000 Maybe we should vote for him.
02:00:19.000 Six five three-year-old.
02:00:39.000 That's funny a six five three year old that's crazy that debate was terrible Okay, let's let's do super chats that I'm out of here.
02:00:51.000 Okay, this has been a terrible experience and I hated it every second of it.
02:00:56.000 I Don't even think we have a lot.
02:00:59.000 I think people didn't realize I'd be reading them
02:01:02.000 Let's make it quick.
02:01:03.000 Very true.
02:01:03.000 Oh, very cool.
02:01:03.000 Yeah, thank you.
02:01:31.000 I don't know what that means, but thanks.
02:01:35.000 Yeah, that would have been terrible.
02:01:37.000 Yup, absolutely.
02:01:38.000 Yeah, I guess not.
02:02:02.000 Richard Percival sent $5.
02:02:04.000 Wasn't he supposed to be at this debate?
02:02:06.000 LMAO.
02:02:07.000 We wanted him to be, but a perfidious Jew interfered with that plan.
02:02:14.000 The Eternal Woman, I think.
02:02:15.000 Maybe the Eternal Female played a role also.
02:02:19.000 But yeah, that was the plan.
02:02:20.000 That's what we wanted.
02:02:21.000 That's what I wanted to accomplish was to get him at the Republican debate, but that's okay.
02:02:29.000 Noah sent $7.
02:02:31.000 I wish my state had better to offer than Nikki Haley and Lindsey Graham.

02:02:40.000 The Unknown Soldier sent $3.

02:05:34.000 He didn't, I don't think he walked it back, but he did say, well, when I'm out of office, our relationship with Israel will be stronger than ever.
02:05:42.000 That was cringe, but he didn't really walk it back.
02:05:44.000 He just said that, like, we want them to stand on their own feet.
02:05:48.000 So it wasn't, it was kind of hard to hear because the crowd was screaming over him, but it wasn't a full capitulation.
02:05:56.000 With that being said, it's not that he's not red-pilled, it's just that he's like, he's a shill for Israel.
02:06:03.000 I love when people assume that if someone's pro-Israel, it's like they just don't know.
