00:00:01.000 Good evening, everybody.
00:00:03.000 You are watching America First.
00:00:05.000 My name is Nicholas J. Fuentes.
00:00:06.000 We have a great show for you tonight.
00:00:08.000 Very excited to be back with you here tonight on Monday for another exciting week of America First.
00:00:16.000 And tonight we've got a little bit of a different show than normal.
00:00:20.000 Tonight, of course, is the first night and the beginning of the Democratic National Convention, which for the first time is going to be entirely digital.
00:00:33.000 Or virtual, I should say.
00:00:35.000 So we'll be watching the Democratic National Convention.
00:00:38.000 It's not really happening in the traditional sense.
00:00:42.000 They're holding it in Milwaukee, but all of the presentations are going to be remote.
00:00:47.000 So it's not like it usually is, of course, because of the pandemic.
00:00:50.000 But we'll be watching tonight, and the Democratic National Convention should start in about a few minutes, and it will go until 10 o'clock.
00:01:01.000 So the scheduled duration is about two hours.
00:01:04.000 So we'll be watching, and we'll be covering it live here.
00:01:08.000 Tonight, and it looks like right now we've just got some commentary.
00:01:12.000 It doesn't officially start for another three minutes, but it's going to be an eventful night.
00:01:17.000 There will be speeches by Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders tonight, are the big speakers.
00:01:25.000 And the DNC will be held every day this week except for Friday.
00:01:30.000 The DNC will take place at the same time and the same duration Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
00:01:37.000 I don't know if we'll cover it every night.
00:01:39.000 We'll see how it goes tonight if people.
00:01:41.000 Like it if people enjoy it.
00:01:43.000 It is historic, obviously, and it is interesting.
00:01:47.000 It's the news, you know, it's what's happening.
00:01:48.000 So I think we'll probably cover it every night, but I'm excited.
00:01:52.000 It's after much delay that we finally get the DNC anyway.
00:01:56.000 It was scheduled to take place actually back in July, like last year, but they pushed it back a month because of the pandemic.
00:02:04.000 So we finally get to see tonight what happens and some rhetoric and policy maybe from the Democratic Party platform.
00:02:13.000 So it should be interesting, it should be a pretty good show.
00:02:16.000 And, you know, before we move on, though, let me just get this logo out of the way.
00:02:20.000 I want to put this, I just realized, I want to move that down to the left.
00:02:28.000 I'm a little bit lower than I usually am.
00:02:31.000 Usually I'm up here on my chair, but tonight I'm a little bit lower.
00:02:35.000 That's why I folded my arm a minute ago, and it looked like I'm at the kids' table like this.
00:02:41.000 But I'll just give myself a little bit of height here.
00:02:45.000 So I'm excited.
00:02:46.000 I guess why don't we tune in?
00:02:48.000 We'll hear what they have to say.
00:02:49.000 We'll hear sort of where we are right now at the convention, and we'll see what we got.
00:02:55.000 I do have some things to talk about before we dive in, though.
00:02:57.000 So I just want to hear and see where we are right now.
00:03:00.000 Let's listen in.
00:03:04.000 Oh, hang on.
00:03:10.000 Give me a minute here.
00:03:21.000 I got to tell you, this broadcasting software is just fucking broken, man.
00:03:24.000 Hopefully, see you tomorrow.
00:03:25.000 There we go.
00:03:26.000 Well, we're going to find out a real test for the DNC in the next few seconds because I'm saying goodbye officially, Casey, Joshua.
00:03:33.000 Oh, here we go.
00:03:34.000 I guess we're just diving right into it.
00:03:36.000 I guess we're going to go on.
00:03:37.000 We're getting started right away.
00:03:38.000 The DNC is supposed to start in 10 seconds.
00:03:42.000 So if it does, then I will see you here tomorrow night or at 10 o'clock on the NBC broadcast airwaves.
00:03:48.000 Chuck Todd is the top.
00:03:49.000 I'll see you in a few minutes.
00:03:51.000 Look at that hair.
00:03:56.000 Okay, well, I guess we're starting right now then.
00:04:00.000 Perfect timing.
00:04:01.000 Is that not perfect timing?
00:04:04.000 There we go.
00:04:05.000 And by the way, let me know if there's any issues with the audio or anything.
00:04:10.000 Let me know if there's like delay or if the volume is good.
00:04:13.000 Let me know on the live chat.
00:04:15.000 And welcome to the 2020 Democratic National Convention Uniting America.
00:04:22.000 Every four years, we come together to reaffirm our democracy.
00:04:27.000 This year, we've come to save it.
00:04:29.000 It's going to take all of us.
00:04:31.000 So tonight we stand together united by the values we cherish decency, respect, justice, and the opportunity to rise up.
00:04:40.000 We always hear that line about this being the most important election of our lifetimes, but this year it really is.
00:04:47.000 The past few months have tested us all.
00:04:51.000 We've lost more than 170,000 family members and friends to COVID.
00:04:56.000 This tragedy is compounded by the loss of jobs and income.
00:05:00.000 But it's not just the past few months.
00:05:02.000 The past four years have left us as a nation diminished and divided.
00:05:09.000 And yet, in the middle of the fear and sorrow and the uncertainty, people have come together because they know we are better than this.
00:05:19.000 America is better than this.
00:05:22.000 And so we choose to act inspired by the three sacred words that breathed life into our nation we the people.
00:05:42.000 Come on now.
00:05:42.000 Let's go.
00:05:44.000 Okay, we ready?
00:05:47.000 There we go.
00:05:47.000 I think I learned this in middle school.
00:05:51.000 This one again.
00:05:53.000 Can I say this in Spanish?
00:05:56.000 So, should I read just this line or the whole thing?
00:06:06.000 Just justice.
00:06:07.000 Tranquility.
00:06:08.000 Liberty.
00:06:10.000 Liberty.
00:06:14.000 Let's do this.
00:06:17.000 We the people.
00:06:18.000 We the people.
00:06:19.000 Oh, that was Kizra Khan.
00:06:21.000 I remember from last year.
00:06:22.000 Gold Star family.
00:06:23.000 We the people.
00:06:24.000 We the people of the United States.
00:06:27.000 De los Estados Unidos.
00:06:29.000 In order to form a more perfect union, establish justice.
00:06:37.000 Ensure domestic tranquility.
00:06:41.000 What the hell?
00:06:42.000 Yeah.
00:06:43.000 The founding fathers would love that.
00:06:45.000 Soccer dykes and fucking retarded Muslim guy and ghastly trans man, woman.
00:06:55.000 We the people.
00:07:08.000 We the people.
00:07:09.000 We the.
00:07:11.000 We.
00:07:11.000 We.
00:07:12.000 National Convention to order.
00:07:18.000 I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
00:07:33.000 Is that
00:08:17.000 Jaden McNeil?
00:08:20.000 I didn't know Jaden was going to be in this.
00:08:49.000 This reminds me of that, what was that dumb thing they did last year?
00:08:55.000 The fight song with all the celebrities?
00:09:10.000 Look at this fucking pedophile, that guy from Oklahoma.
00:09:16.000 Not her.
00:09:29.000 Race mixing propaganda, subtle.
00:09:44.000 Look at this guy.
00:09:46.000 What's going on with him?
00:09:51.000 We got Jerry Fogel over here.
00:10:03.000 That was a great start.
00:10:05.000 Hello, my name is Reverend Gabriel Salguero.
00:10:08.000 Let us pray.
00:10:10.000 Almighty God, we confess that our nation needs you and has always needed you.
00:10:15.000 We pray for your blessing upon all of us Republicans, independents, and Democrats.
00:10:21.000 As we strive to form a more perfect union, we pray for your strength, guidance, and wisdom.
00:10:28.000 Lord, we recognize that we are living in challenging times that call us to live up to the highest angels of our national character.
00:10:36.000 As we confront the turbulent winds of a global pandemic, economic uncertainty, and civil discord, may your gracious hand lead us to the peaceful shores of love, justice, and civility.
00:10:49.000 Help us, O Lord, to be ever mindful of the most vulnerable among us, from our golden generation to our youngest children, desde nuestros immigrantes to our veterans, from our healthcare workers to our school teachers.
00:11:03.000 Give us a heart of compassion and grace.
00:11:07.000 This nation, from Miami to Minneapolis, And from Portland to El Paso, ask you to shepherd us to a hope filled vision that does justice.
00:11:17.000 Ama la misericordia and walks humbly before it.
00:11:21.000 I pray this in the matchless name of Jesus.
00:11:25.000 Amen.
00:11:28.000 Welcome to our convention across America.
00:11:30.000 We had hoped to gather in one place, but instead we figured out a safe and responsible way to come together to share our ideas and talk about the future of our country.
00:11:41.000 And that's the kind of leadership we need right now.
00:11:43.000 That's the kind of leadership that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will bring to the White House.
00:11:49.000 So during the next four nights, we will gather safely from our homes to listen, to learn, to be inspired, to act, to vote, and to build that more perfect union.
00:12:01.000 I am honored to be with you this evening.
00:12:03.000 I'm here tonight as a ninth generation Texan, as a daughter of a veteran and a teacher, as a mother, as a voter, and as a patriot.
00:12:12.000 I share Joe Biden's belief that the story of America is one of ordinary people coming together to do extraordinary things.
00:12:20.000 And at our best, our country rewards hard work.
00:12:23.000 We celebrate diversity, we look out for each other, and we lift one another up.
00:12:28.000 So tonight, we're going to begin with the simple kindness we've been extending to each other a lot lately.
00:12:35.000 We're going to check in with folks around the country and ask, How are you doing?
00:12:40.000 As many of you know, small businesses employ half of all U.S. workers.
00:12:45.000 Tonight we have Scott.
00:12:46.000 Scott, you are a small business owner from Swarthmore, Pennsylvania.
00:12:51.000 Small businesses have been hit so hard in this crisis, so many small businesses.
00:12:55.000 How are you doing?
00:12:56.000 How are you managing?
00:12:58.000 Well, you know, it's been rough.
00:13:01.000 You know, rough is a nice word to say it.
00:13:06.000 My wife and I, 31 years ago, began our business.
00:13:11.000 And quite honestly, over all these years, we faced some adversity and challenges.
00:13:18.000 But to be honest, nothing like we are today.
00:13:23.000 We've literally had to reinvent our business several times since the beginning of the year just to stay afloat.
00:13:32.000 And our revenue, for example, is off about 40%.
00:13:42.000 We have half of the employees that we had pre COVID.
00:13:48.000 You know, our customers are a little prepared remarks, or is he just sometimes afraid to come to work because of the COVID?
00:13:57.000 And to be honest with you, I'm just frustrated.
00:14:01.000 I don't understand how we got here.
00:14:03.000 We are the greatest nation in the world.
00:14:08.000 And it just seems to me that, you know, maybe if we just came together on this one issue alone, maybe as Americans and being united, we can overcome.
00:14:21.000 Wow.
00:14:22.000 Yeah.
00:14:23.000 Thank you, Scott, for sharing your story.
00:14:24.000 I'm sure many small business owners feel the same way that you're feeling now.
00:14:29.000 We wish you the best for your business and, of course, for your family.
00:14:32.000 Now I'd like to turn to Marley Diaz, who is 15 years old from West Orange, New Jersey.
00:14:37.000 She's a literary activist and author, and she is the founder of Thousand Black Girl Books.
00:14:43.000 Marley, so many young people are struggling with the changes due to COVID.
00:14:43.000 You're black.
00:14:47.000 How are you doing?
00:14:48.000 I'm doing all right.
00:14:49.000 You know, I feel better every day.
00:14:51.000 I feel more hopeful.
00:14:52.000 I thought this was going to be a few weeks at first where I wouldn't see my friends and I would just stick it out.
00:14:57.000 But obviously, as it's grown longer, I really want to focus on activism and still spreading important messages.
00:15:02.000 Given the fact that I can't go out.
00:15:04.000 So I started doing virtual read alouds online, which has been so fun getting to interact and meet new kids and encourage and promote the joy that we can find in reading and in learning.
00:15:14.000 It's also super fun to see teenagers like me going on social media and talking about social issues and injustices that they care about because sometimes you don't have that space in school.
00:15:24.000 So I hope that a year from now, you know, when we get to go back and be safe and be protected, that we will still have these conversations and still have a new possibility in a new world.
00:15:33.000 Yeah, that's right.
00:15:34.000 Yes.
00:15:34.000 Thank you so much, Marley.
00:15:36.000 You were such an inspiration.
00:15:37.000 I don't think I was doing half of what you're doing at 15.
00:15:39.000 And I love seeing how brave and creative your generation is to creating change.
00:15:45.000 So thank you.
00:15:46.000 Thank you so much for your work.
00:15:49.000 Let's check in with Rick.
00:15:50.000 Rick, you are a farmer from Volant, Pennsylvania.
00:15:54.000 Your farm has been in your family for generations.
00:15:57.000 What have the trade wars and the pandemic done to your family's life work?
00:16:04.000 Well, first of all, I'd like to offer the Trump family our condolences for his loss.
00:16:08.000 Getting back to the business side of it, the trade war was a real stressful and truly a devastating effect on a farm.
00:16:20.000 Most probably what people can relate to is mostly an agricultural crisis.
00:16:23.000 Well, they got people opening the screen door in the background.
00:16:27.000 Did you hear that?
00:16:28.000 The COVID 19 virus.
00:16:31.000 Nobody could have prevented that.
00:16:33.000 It's a shame our leadership misinformed.
00:16:36.000 People like myself in the country on what was coming down the road.
00:16:39.000 What a goofy.
00:16:41.000 His farm failing.
00:16:43.000 My biggest concern is that if these trends continue with this type of leadership, I will be the last generation farming this farm.
00:16:52.000 Yeah, it's a scary thought.
00:16:53.000 And I'm sure a lot of farmers feel the same way.
00:16:57.000 You know, I don't have the answers, but past experiences, if something doesn't work for you, it's time to get it.
00:17:03.000 Somebody like cooking in the background?
00:17:05.000 And that's why I'm supporting Joe Biden all the way.
00:17:08.000 Well, thank you so much.
00:17:11.000 Rick, I couldn't agree with you more.
00:17:12.000 You know, we need meaningful change and leadership that will support family farms like yours.
00:17:17.000 So we wish you the best.
00:17:18.000 Thank you for sharing your story.
00:17:20.000 Finally, let's hear from Michelle from my home state of Texas.
00:17:23.000 Michelle, you are a school nurse and a mother in El Paso.
00:17:28.000 How are you preparing for the new school year?
00:17:31.000 Me, my mom.
00:17:32.000 Well, we've already started school, but it is a little challenging because every day something seems to change.
00:17:38.000 We start one way one day and we have to change it the next day.
00:17:41.000 And I know that right now it's kind of sad not to see the kiddos who are back, but I know that that will change.
00:17:46.000 We're going to have to adapt and persuade.
00:17:48.000 How many cookies are on our side?
00:17:49.000 Honestly, right now, all I can think about is keeping my kiddos safe.
00:17:52.000 I know back in March, you know, we had them at home and we were doing okay, but now they're wanting us to take them back to school.
00:17:59.000 And it's a little scary with all the uprising and COVID cases.
00:18:03.000 And so I just want to say that I am committed to take care of my family, my students, and all my staff at my school.
00:18:10.000 I will do whatever it takes to ensure that we are all ready to go back to school safe and healthy.
00:18:15.000 And I know that I am optimistic to move forward with our life, and Joe Biden will be the one to take us there.
00:18:24.000 I just want to say for everyone to please remember to wash their hands and wear the mask because we're all in this together.
00:18:31.000 Thank you, Michelle.
00:18:32.000 I think there's nothing more difficult for us as moms than to see our children suffer.
00:18:37.000 And so I think you're doing a great job of guiding them through this very difficult time.
00:18:41.000 And thank you for the work you do as a nurse.
00:18:43.000 It's truly heroic.
00:18:46.000 I've really enjoyed talking to all of you.
00:18:48.000 I think I have one last question.
00:18:50.000 Do you believe that change is coming?
00:18:53.000 Do you believe that better days are ahead?
00:18:55.000 Yes.
00:18:56.000 Yes.
00:18:58.000 Well, thank you for taking the time to speak with us and sharing your thoughts.
00:19:03.000 You are the we, and we the people, and you are who this convention is about.
00:19:09.000 In 1776, the Declaration of Independence, we hold these truths to be self evident.
00:19:17.000 These words, these words are the basis for the American creed equality, equity, fairness, decency.
00:19:25.000 America didn't live up to that promise for most of the people at the time.
00:19:29.000 A prompt to people of color, a whip for women.
00:19:32.000 But we were born of an idea that every single solitary person, given half a chance, no matter where they're from, given half a chance, there's not a single thing they cannot do if they work at it.
00:19:42.000 Nothing's beyond their capacity.
00:19:48.000 We had hoped to have our convention in the city of festivals, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this year.
00:19:53.000 Of course, we're not able to do that.
00:19:55.000 But we'll be hearing from several of Wisconsin's leaders throughout this convention, starting with Congresswoman Gwen Moore.
00:20:07.000 Hi, I'm Gwen Moore, and it's my honor to represent Milwaukee in Congress and to kick off the 2020 Democratic Convention.
00:20:17.000 Oh, I sure wish you all were here in the city of Milwaukee, which takes its name from the languages of the first peoples, interpreted as good land and gathering place by the waters.
00:20:30.000 This is a city where blood was shed for labor rights.
00:20:34.000 Where a fugitive slave was freed from prison, where women's right to vote was first ratified.
00:20:40.000 Is that Rick James?
00:20:41.000 But today, we gather virtually.
00:20:44.000 However, we gather unified in spirit, unified in our values and purpose to heal divisions and together move the nation confidently into a prosperous, inclusive society.
00:20:56.000 What is she doing?
00:20:56.000 What is that?
00:20:58.000 What better way to gather than all across America to nominate my beloved friend, Joe Biden, to be president?
00:21:05.000 46th President of the United States of America, with my VIP, VP nominee, Sister Kamala Harris, by his side.
00:21:14.000 Sister?
00:21:15.000 Tonight, we are gathered to reclaim the soul of America.
00:21:20.000 So if you're ready to come together, America, text join to 30330.
00:21:27.000 Thank you.
00:21:27.000 I love you all, and God bless you.
00:21:33.000 Yikes.
00:21:34.000 I don't know what the fuck that was.
00:21:37.000 That was rough.
00:21:38.000 Can't see nothing in front of me.
00:21:43.000 Can't see nothing coming up behind.
00:21:45.000 Making my way through this darkness.
00:21:51.000 I can't feel nothing but this chain that glides.
00:21:56.000 Ha, hey!
00:21:56.000 Never?
00:21:57.000 I can have far gone.
00:22:00.000 Far gone, how high I climb.
00:22:05.000 On the backs of sixty milestones.
00:22:09.000 On the shoulder, he's my line.
00:22:28.000 Is this just gonna be the whole night?
00:22:29.000 Like corny videos
00:23:50.000 How is it still going on?
00:24:03.000 Yeah, I think we got it.
00:24:09.000 Almost guy on a bike.
00:24:11.000 I see Larry in the dark.
00:24:15.000 We have to let them know who we are, what we stand for.
00:24:21.000 We choose hope over fear, truth over lies, and yes, unity over divisions.
00:24:27.000 Time for us to lift our heads up, open our hearts, remember who we are.
00:24:33.000 We are the United States.
00:24:34.000 States of America.
00:24:37.000 None of that means anything.
00:24:39.000 There's not a single thing we cannot do if we do it together.
00:24:43.000 That's just a completely hollow message.
00:24:45.000 And liberals eat that up and they think they're like intelligent for that, you know?
00:24:52.000 Liberals have this superiority complex that, you know, Democratic parties for intellectuals, serious people, and you listen to their nominee and it's like, we want facts instead of lies.
00:25:03.000 We want unity instead of division.
00:25:05.000 This is America.
00:25:06.000 What does that even mean?
00:25:06.000 Okay.
00:25:08.000 What does that even mean?
00:25:10.000 The idea of us calling ourselves the United States of America feels like it's pretty wrong right now.
00:25:19.000 Fairly ashamed to say it, but I'm one of many that voted for the current president, Donald Trump.
00:25:25.000 I challenge you to think back to what made you vote for Donald Trump in 2016.
00:25:30.000 I know I should have said that.
00:25:31.000 He looks like him.
00:25:31.000 No, maybe not.
00:25:32.000 I've registered as a Democrat for the first time in my life.
00:25:35.000 I'm doing that because I think this election is bigger than any political party.
00:25:39.000 What I think, in light of Current events, if nothing else, we need more than anything is a proven leader.
00:25:44.000 Donald Trump's rhetoric is divisive, it's dangerous.
00:25:50.000 It's also really difficult to vote for someone who essentially has zero platform.
00:25:55.000 Is he like on the toilet or something?
00:25:57.000 Where is he in his house?
00:25:58.000 Has a very detailed plan.
00:26:00.000 Things like unity, education, climate preservation.
00:26:04.000 He has a detailed plan like unity.
00:26:06.000 We have a chance right now to look ourselves in the mirror and go vote for a proven leader.
00:26:12.000 With a history of caring about others and putting, truly putting all Americans first.
00:26:26.000 Our nation is facing a lot right now.
00:26:28.000 And over the next four nights, we're going to cover it all.
00:26:31.000 What about the pandemic?
00:26:32.000 But tonight, we're going to talk about three specific crises we face the pandemic, an economic downturn, and an ongoing systemic racial injustice.
00:26:42.000 But we're not just going to focus on what's wrong, we're going to talk about how to make it right.
00:26:47.000 When peaceful protesters were tear gassed across from the White House, our next speaker stood up, stood strong, and turned that place into the Black Lives Matter Plaza in their honor.
00:26:59.000 Please welcome Mayor Muriel Bowser.
00:27:04.000 Hello, I'm Muriel Bowser, Mayor of Washington, D.C.
00:27:08.000 The story of our nation's capital is a story of reckoning.
00:27:11.000 It was here that John Lewis and Dr. King spoke on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
00:27:16.000 It was here that millions of women and men flooded the streets for the Women's March.
00:27:21.000 It was here that just weeks ago, Americans donned face masks and safely and peacefully protested the death of George Floyd.
00:27:29.000 But while we were peacefully protesting, Donald Trump was plotting.
00:27:33.000 He stood in front of one of our most treasured houses of worship and held a Bible for a photo op.
00:27:39.000 He sent troops and camouflage into our streets.
00:27:42.000 He sent street gas into the air and federal helicopters, too.
00:27:46.000 I knew if he did this to D.C., he would do it to your city or your town.
00:27:51.000 And that's when I said enough.
00:27:53.000 I said enough for every black and brown American who has experienced injustice, enough for every American who believes.
00:28:00.000 Injustice.
00:28:01.000 But I said enough for another reason too.
00:28:04.000 I have a two year old daughter, and I want her to grow up in an America where she's not scared to walk to the store, an America where she's safe behind the doors of her own home, an America where the president doesn't fan the flames of racism and looks out for all of us.
00:28:19.000 So I created Black Lives Matter Plaza right behind me as a place where we could come together to say enough.
00:28:27.000 And by coming together this November to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, We will say next because we can't just paint those words behind me.
00:28:37.000 We can't just say those words.
00:28:38.000 We have to live those words.
00:28:40.000 We have to undo the laws and systems that have codified racism for far too long.
00:28:46.000 But we have to do something, too.
00:28:48.000 Each and every one of us, challenge our own biases.
00:28:52.000 If we see something, do something.
00:28:55.000 Together, we can turn this reckoning into a reimagining of a nation where we the people means all the people.
00:29:02.000 There were a few people who stood on this very balcony as thousands of people peacefully protested in this city.
00:29:09.000 One was our next vice president, my sister Kamala Harris.
00:29:13.000 The others were members of George Floyd's family, who I'm honored to introduce now.
00:29:18.000 Oh boy.
00:29:21.000 Oh boy.
00:29:24.000 Big Floyd.
00:29:25.000 Big Floyd was selfless.
00:29:27.000 He always made sacrifices for his family, friends, and even complete strangers.
00:29:34.000 George had a given spirit.
00:29:36.000 A spirit that has shown up on streets around our nation and around the world.
00:29:42.000 People of all races, all ages, all genders, all backgrounds, peacefully protesting in the name of love and unity.
00:29:51.000 It's a fitting legacy for our brother, but George should be alive today.
00:29:56.000 Breonna Taylor should be alive today.
00:29:56.000 It is fitting.
00:29:58.000 Ahmaud Armour should be alive today.
00:30:01.000 Eric Garner should be alive today.
00:30:03.000 Stefan Clark, Tatiana Jefferson, Sandra Bland, they should all be alive today.
00:30:09.000 So it's up to us to carry on the fight for justice.
00:30:14.000 Our actions will be their legacies.
00:30:16.000 We must always find ourselves in what John Lewis called good trouble.
00:30:22.000 For the names we do not know, the faces we'll never see, those who are.
00:30:28.000 They got like $3 trillion from bankruptcy and the government.
00:30:30.000 Because their murders didn't go viral.
00:30:32.000 Please join me in a moment of silence to honor George and the many other souls we lost to hate and injustice.
00:30:42.000 And when this moment ends, let's make sure we never stop saying their names.
00:30:50.000 No, I will not be.
00:30:51.000 I'm going to talk throughout this moment of silence.
00:30:55.000 I do not respect this.
00:30:57.000 I am not participating in this.
00:31:00.000 Nope.
00:31:00.000 No way.
00:31:01.000 I'm talking all the way through it.
00:31:04.000 Yeah, no.
00:31:05.000 George Floyd was a criminal.
00:31:07.000 And fuck you.
00:31:08.000 And fuck you, fatty.
00:31:11.000 And that goof without the jacket who doesn't know how to read.
00:31:15.000 And all these people.
00:31:19.000 All right, we did it.
00:31:21.000 Mission accomplished.
00:31:22.000 No silence.
00:31:23.000 No silence.
00:31:25.000 No justice.
00:31:26.000 No silence.
00:31:31.000 What the hell is this now?
00:31:33.000 Stand on the story.
00:31:40.000 Why do I feel skin dark?
00:31:43.000 Snap.
00:31:48.000 Can you feel peace with those that deny?
00:31:54.000 I thought we moved on from the dark of day.
00:32:01.000 Did the words of the king disappear in the air?
00:32:07.000 Like a butterfly.
00:32:10.000 Somebody should hand you a felony.
00:32:17.000 Cause you stole from me.
00:32:20.000 What is that haircut?
00:32:22.000 My chance to be.
00:32:25.000 Hoping for a life more sweet, like Lisa Simpson.
00:32:33.000 Instead, I'm just a story.
00:32:41.000 Why do I feel skin dark as night?
00:32:47.000 I can't feel peace with those judging eyes.
00:33:19.000 Another day Hmm.
00:33:25.000 Hoping for a life more sweeter.
00:33:33.000 I can't believe that this is happening.
00:33:36.000 I'm in disbelief that this is.
00:33:38.000 Is this normal?
00:33:41.000 I don't remember the DNC four years ago if they had like musical performances and stuff.
00:33:47.000 I legitimately don't remember, so.
00:33:48.000 But it's just weird.
00:33:51.000 It's just a very weird.
00:33:54.000 Line up the tears of my mother, rain, rain all over me.
00:34:03.000 My sister's in my.
00:34:19.000 But it's just another day, Hoping for a life more sweeter.
00:34:38.000 Thank you, Leon Bridges, whose song Sweeter featured Terrace Martin, a song written after George Floyd's murder.
00:34:46.000 You know, we have to ask ourselves how do we, the people, take the protest and turn them into progress?
00:34:53.000 How do we take the changes we're seeing in the hearts and minds of people and translate it into real and lasting change in people's lives?
00:35:02.000 We need to address the economic inequalities that this virus has exposed and worsened.
00:35:08.000 And we need to solve the testing and healthcare disparities that have led to people of color.
00:35:13.000 Color dying from COVID at higher rates than white people.
00:35:16.000 And we need to make it easier for Americans to vote.
00:35:19.000 We have a lot to do.
00:35:21.000 And to do this, we need community action.
00:35:23.000 We need Congress that can have power to do it.
00:35:26.000 And we need a president who understands that this is the moment.
00:35:33.000 The moment has come for our nation to deal with systemic racism, to deal with the growing economic inequity that exists in our nation, to deal with the denial of the promise of this nation.
00:35:47.000 Made to so many.
00:35:48.000 You know, I've said from the outset of this election that we're in the battle for the soul of this nation.
00:35:58.000 We are in the battle for the soul of this nation.
00:36:01.000 What we believe, maybe most importantly, who we want to be, it's all at stake.
00:36:09.000 Become who you are.
00:36:11.000 That's truer today than it's ever been, at least in my lifetime.
00:36:15.000 And it's this urgency that's in this urgency.
00:36:20.000 We can find a path forward.
00:36:22.000 Hey, everybody, how are you?
00:36:24.000 Thanks for doing this.
00:36:25.000 I'm doing great.
00:36:27.000 Thank you, thank you, thank you.
00:36:28.000 Jamiro, tell the rest of the folks a little about your background.
00:36:31.000 Nice quality.
00:36:32.000 I started doing activism when I was 15.
00:36:35.000 It was at the intersection of knowing both the perpetrator and a victim.
00:36:39.000 My brother Andre was shot and killed in Philadelphia.
00:36:42.000 And it made me realize that I had a responsibility, almost a collective responsibility, to assure that that didn't happen to other young people.
00:36:50.000 And I think that's what's missing.
00:36:52.000 In America, right now is our collective responsibility to each other and to realize that the person down the street or around the corner, even across the country, that we have a responsibility to ensure that we're making sure that they're safe, they have access to education, and that in all, we're creating a world in which their differences are celebrated as well as protected under the law.
00:37:13.000 Mayor, how are you prioritizing the many things you have to do as we try to tackle in a way that we haven't before systemic racism in the city?
00:37:22.000 Really, it's about economic empowerment.
00:37:26.000 Because if people are lifted out of poverty and they are given an opportunity to feel a stake in their own future, that goes a long way.
00:37:36.000 We're also challenging all kinds of institutions, from corporations to community based organizations, to think about what they can do better to end systemic racism and make sure that we're uplifting the quality of life in the communities, but also the voices of people that traditionally don't have a seat at the table.
00:37:59.000 The president's talking about defunding the post office and mail in voting.
00:38:04.000 What do you think we should be doing, Mr. President?
00:38:06.000 Well, first of all, we have to change the public discourse around voting.
00:38:12.000 It should be seen as a democratic thing to do, the most patriotic thing we can do, and not a partisan exercise.
00:38:21.000 Secondly, how do we open up access to voting?
00:38:23.000 We need to buy better voting.
00:38:24.000 So we can address some of the systemic problems.
00:38:26.000 That's not all.
00:38:27.000 Not only should we reauthorize the Voting Rights Act, but we have to go further.
00:38:31.000 Most importantly, voting should be seen as a constitutional right that's guaranteed, and with that level of sight, that all citizens can be assured that they can have unfeathered access without being suppressed.
00:38:47.000 This is a watershed moment, and we can't lose this moment.
00:38:49.000 We have got to have action at the national level, we have got to have congressional action.
00:38:54.000 We cannot have 18,000 police departments, and in 2020, have police departments still allowing the use of a knee on a man's neck in George Floyd.
00:39:05.000 A lot of us were shocked.
00:39:06.000 And I think what gives me hope is that police officers were shocked.
00:39:10.000 Police officers have spoken out.
00:39:12.000 And we're hopeful that we'll have some national standards as it relates to policing, use of force, a national database, abolishment of prohibition and a national standard in terms of chokeholds, and that we actually use the death of George Floyd and others to actually make policing take it to the next level, which is what everyone wants, including all the good cops that are out there, that thankfully there are more of them than there are bad cops.
00:39:39.000 Most cops are good, but the fact is the bad ones have to be identified and prosecuted and out, period.
00:39:48.000 Gwen, how are you doing?
00:39:51.000 Oh, well, I'm doing pretty well, as well as can be expected.
00:39:56.000 You know, I'm sure that the words of George Floyd, I can't breathe, when I'm new to you, and they echo in your mind every single day.
00:40:05.000 Give me your money, bitch.
00:40:06.000 Give me your money, bitch.
00:40:07.000 I'll fucking kill you, bitch.
00:40:09.000 We can't let this keep happening.
00:40:10.000 What do you think the next thing we have to do, Gwen?
00:40:13.000 Well, first of all, I know in my story, George Floyd was like, don't shoot.
00:40:18.000 There was a big uprising.
00:40:20.000 Okay.
00:40:21.000 But then it settled down.
00:40:23.000 We can't let things settle down.
00:40:26.000 We have to go to the politicians and we have to hold their feet to the fire because otherwise, the big uprising is not going to mean a lot.
00:40:35.000 So I'm just asking that if you become the president, you make sure that we get national law as well as state.
00:40:46.000 And local law, especially when it comes to police brutality, because that has been an age old problem.
00:40:55.000 Well, I may be kidding myself, but I think the people are ready.
00:40:58.000 I think people are ready.
00:40:59.000 We just got to keep pushing.
00:41:01.000 We can't let up.
00:41:03.000 But thank you for what you're doing.
00:41:04.000 I really appreciate it.
00:41:05.000 Thanks for joining me.
00:41:06.000 Thank you.
00:41:07.000 Thank you.
00:41:08.000 Bye bye.
00:41:08.000 Thank you.
00:41:12.000 All right.
00:41:15.000 Racism, structurally, individually, and systematically, is real.
00:41:20.000 Black, brown, no matter what you look like, you should not ever be fearful of your life due to the color of your skin.
00:41:27.000 What I want to see in the next president of the United States is someone who's fair, who believes in equal justice under the law.
00:41:34.000 I want him to lead us through this revolution that we're experiencing right now.
00:41:40.000 Joe Biden is a healer, and he's a unifier.
00:41:42.000 He will fight for the Black Lives Matter movement, undo, remove, tear down the remnants of structural and systematic racism in this country.
00:41:51.000 The systemic injustices that exist.
00:41:54.000 Things that our nation has overlooked that need to be addressed.
00:41:57.000 We need to stand by the UN and introduce legislation that makes this platform felt from coast to coast.
00:42:04.000 And I know that Joe Biden is the person to restore the values that we hold so near and dear to our hearts.
00:42:09.000 I have a 10 year old son.
00:42:10.000 I want to make sure that there is a world that's left better for him.
00:42:19.000 You realize this is a national convention for a major political party.
00:42:24.000 And so far, it's been 40 minutes of talking about racism.
00:42:28.000 I'm Congressman Jim Clyburn here in his talk.
00:42:30.000 It always used to be this way.
00:42:33.000 Good evening.
00:42:34.000 I'm Congressman Jim Clyburn here in historic Charleston, South Carolina.
00:42:39.000 Six months ago, I stood not far from here and endorsed Joe Biden to be our 46th president.
00:42:46.000 It was a decision I made with my feet firmly planted in this community.
00:42:52.000 This community, where 80% of African Americans in this country can claim an ancestor who arrived on these shores in bondage, a few blocks from here over at Gaston's Wharf.
00:43:05.000 This community that is still healing from the wounds we received when a white supremacist entered Emmanuel AME Church and murdered nine black parishioners as they studied the Bible together.
00:43:18.000 The ground beneath our feet is seeded with pain that is both old and new.
00:43:24.000 But from that soil, we always find a way to grow together.
00:43:30.000 Earlier this summer, the city of Charleston removed a statute honoring John C. Calhoun, an honored advocate of slavery.
00:43:39.000 And construction is underway on the International African American Museum at Gadsden's Wharf.
00:43:46.000 Much like the country as a whole, we are stepping out from the shadows of our past and beginning to lay the groundwork for a more just future.
00:43:55.000 It won't be easy.
00:43:57.000 We can only succeed if we move forward together.
00:44:01.000 So we will need a president who sees unifying people as a requirement of the job, a president who understands the true meaning of community.
00:44:13.000 And how to build it through trust and humility.
00:44:17.000 And with so many families experiencing loss in this pandemic, lost jobs, lost loved ones, and lost confidence in the president to keep us safe, we need a president who understands both profound loss and what it takes to bounce back.
00:44:35.000 But more important than his firsthand experience with loss and hardship is his ability to translate that perspective.
00:44:44.000 Into policy and solutions, and prioritize hardworking people and persistent poverty counties over partisan politics or personal gain.
00:44:56.000 That's why I stand with Joe and why he will always be an adopted son of South Carolina.
00:45:04.000 Joe Biden is as good a man as he is a leader.
00:45:08.000 I have said before and wish to reiterate tonight we know Joe, but more importantly, Joe knows us.
00:45:21.000 I am Kevin.
00:45:22.000 I do a lot of things in life, but the thing I'm most proud of is I am a TAPS military mentor, and that's how I spend the majority of my time post Marine Corps.
00:45:34.000 Building memories like the ones we build together is the single best thing I do with my time.
00:45:39.000 Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your lives and share in the journeys for the past decade.
00:45:44.000 We've got about 500 kids and family members and mentors, and we're all packed.
00:45:48.000 Into this very large ballroom.
00:45:50.000 And all of a sudden, the back door opens up and in walks Joe Biden.
00:45:56.000 I had almost an out of body experience because he surprised us all.
00:46:00.000 You know, I like to think I'm decent at reading people from my time in the Marine Corps, my time as an Intel officer, my time as a drill instructor, my time studying psychology.
00:46:08.000 He was being real.
00:46:09.000 I mean, you can't fake that kind of a smile.
00:46:11.000 He was genuinely happy to see these kids and spend time with them.
00:46:16.000 It's easy to lose faith in humanity, especially today.
00:46:19.000 There's a lot of polarization, it leaves a lot of room for a lot of hope.
00:46:23.000 It's hard to articulate real character when you see it.
00:46:26.000 You know, policies are great and we need sound policies as well, which he also has those because he's got the chops, right?
00:46:33.000 But it's almost like none of that matters if you don't have the character.
00:46:37.000 This is a very unprecedented and challenging time that requires an unprecedented and courageous leader.
00:46:45.000 We need someone with the courage to do what's necessary and what's right to strive towards a more perfect union.
00:46:50.000 That's Joe Biden.
00:46:52.000 I know Joe because he cares about everybody else before himself.
00:46:58.000 Wow.
00:47:00.000 You know what else Joe knows?
00:47:02.000 Joe knows about pandemics.
00:47:05.000 In 2014, he helped stop the spread of Ebola and brought the world together to keep it contained.
00:47:12.000 And after that success, knowing this would happen again, Vice President Biden and President Obama assembled a pandemic playbook to make sure that America was prepared and protected.
00:47:24.000 The Trump administration disbanded the pandemic response team that was given to them.
00:47:31.000 Americans have died and lost their livelihoods because of it.
00:47:35.000 We, the people, deserve a president who believes in science, that recognizes the threat of COVID, who has a plan to get us through it.
00:47:44.000 And that is Joe Biden.
00:47:47.000 We're grateful that across the country there are responsible leaders who are stepping up.
00:47:53.000 One of them provided clear direction and memorable PowerPoints, New York's Governor Andrew Cuomo.
00:48:02.000 Hello.
00:48:03.000 Today is Monday, day 170.
00:48:06.000 New Yorkers were ground zero for the COVID virus and have gone from one of the highest infection rates on the globe to one of the lowest.
00:48:14.000 We climbed the impossible mountain, and right now we are on the other side.
00:48:18.000 We did it with the kindness and assistance of so many.
00:48:21.000 New Yorkers want to thank everyone who came to our aid 30,000 Americans who volunteered to come here to help in our hour of need.
00:48:30.000 Your love gave us the strength to carry on.
00:48:34.000 We went through hell.
00:48:35.000 But we've learned much.
00:48:37.000 We know that our problems go beyond the COVID virus.
00:48:39.000 COVID is the symptom, not the illness.
00:48:43.000 Our nation is in crisis.
00:48:45.000 And in many ways, COVID is just a metaphor.
00:48:48.000 A virus attacks when the body is weak and when it cannot defend itself.
00:48:54.000 Over these past few years, America's body politic has been weakened.
00:48:58.000 The divisions have been growing deeper.
00:49:00.000 The anti Semitism, the anti Latino, the anti immigrant fervor, the racism in Charlottesville, where the KKK didn't even bother to wear their hoods.
00:49:09.000 And in Minnesota, where the life was squeezed from Mr. Floyd.
00:49:14.000 Only a strong body can fight off the virus, and America's divisions weakened it.
00:49:21.000 Donald Trump didn't create the initial division.
00:49:25.000 The division created Trump, he only made it worse.
00:49:31.000 Our collective strength is exercised through government.
00:49:33.000 It is, in effect, our immune system, and our current federal government is dysfunctional and incompetent.
00:49:40.000 It couldn't fight off the virus.
00:49:42.000 In fact, it didn't even see it coming.
00:49:44.000 The European virus infected the Northeast while the White House was still fixated on China.
00:49:50.000 The virus had been attacking us for months before they even knew it was here.
00:49:56.000 We saw the failure of a government that tried to deny the virus, then tried to ignore it, and then tried to politicize it.
00:50:03.000 The failed federal government that watched New York get ambushed by their negligence and then watched New York suffer, but all through it learned absolutely nothing.
00:50:14.000 So today, six months after it began, The nation is still unprepared.
00:50:20.000 And we now face a second threat, but this time not from Mother Nature.
00:50:25.000 This is a man made threat by our own negligence.
00:50:29.000 We now see the virus ricocheting across the country from one state to another.
00:50:36.000 Today, we trail the world in defeating COVID.
00:50:40.000 We have over 5 million cases.
00:50:42.000 Americans learned a critical lesson how vulnerable we are when we are divided, and how many lives can be lost when our government is incompetent.
00:50:53.000 But we learned something else, my friends.
00:50:55.000 We saw the negative, but we also saw the positive.
00:50:58.000 As they prove their way failed, we prove that our way succeeded.
00:51:03.000 Yeah, by doing so.
00:51:04.000 That America can still rise to the occasion.
00:51:06.000 We can put our differences aside and find commonality.
00:51:10.000 Government can tell the truth and can build trust.
00:51:13.000 We can judge by content of character rather than color of skin.
00:51:17.000 We can care for one another.
00:51:19.000 That Americans can work together and forge community and a competent government.
00:51:25.000 That, of course, we will wear masks because we are smart.
00:51:29.000 And because I care about you and because you care about me.
00:51:33.000 Of course, we will socially distance because staying away shows how close we actually are.
00:51:40.000 Yes, we will set up testing and tracing and do whatever we need to do to mobilize to win this battle because we are America.
00:51:46.000 We win wars and we are the greatest country on the globe.
00:51:51.000 And for all the pain and all the tears, our way worked.
00:51:56.000 And it was beautiful.
00:51:58.000 We showed that our better angels are strong.
00:52:01.000 And that Americans will rise to their call.
00:52:03.000 I hate that phrase.
00:52:04.000 We saw that even at the end of the day, even if it is a long day, that love wins.
00:52:10.000 Americans' eyes have been opened.
00:52:12.000 And we have seen in this crisis the truth that government matters and leadership matters.
00:52:20.000 And it determines whether we thrive and grow or whether we live or die.
00:52:26.000 Now we need a leader as good as our people, a leader who appeals to the best within us, not the worst.
00:52:33.000 A leader who can unify, not divide.
00:52:36.000 A leader who can bring us up, not tear us down.
00:52:40.000 I know that man.
00:52:42.000 I've worked with that man.
00:52:44.000 I've seen his talent.
00:52:45.000 I've seen his strength.
00:52:46.000 I've seen his pain, and I've seen his heart.
00:52:50.000 That man is Joe Biden.
00:52:52.000 Joe Biden is what I call America tough tough in the best way, tough that is smart, united, disciplined, and loving.
00:53:02.000 Joe Biden can restore the soul of America.
00:53:06.000 And that's exactly what our country needs today.
00:53:10.000 Thank you.
00:53:16.000 And now we'll hear from Kristen Orquiza.
00:53:20.000 Hi, I'm Kristen Orquiza.
00:53:23.000 I'm one of the many who has lost a loved one to COVID.
00:53:26.000 Kind of a harsh life.
00:53:27.000 My dad, Mark Anthony Orquiza, should be here today, but he isn't.
00:53:33.000 He had faith in Donald Trump.
00:53:36.000 He voted for him, listened to him, believed him and his mouthpieces when they said that coronavirus was under control and going to disappear, that it was okay to end social distancing rules before it was safe, and that if you had no underlying health conditions, you'd probably be fine.
00:53:55.000 So in late May, after the stay at home order was lifted in Arizona, my dad went to a karaoke bar with his friends.
00:54:02.000 A few weeks later, he was put on a ventilator, and after five agonizing days, he died alone.
00:54:10.000 In the ICU with a nurse holding his hand.
00:54:14.000 My dad was a healthy 65 year old.
00:54:17.000 His only pre existing condition was trusting Donald Trump.
00:54:22.000 And for that, he paid with his life.
00:54:24.000 That's so scary.
00:54:25.000 I am not alone.
00:54:27.000 Once I told my story, a lot of people reached out to me to share theirs.
00:54:32.000 They asked me to help them keep their communities safe, especially communities of color, which have been disproportionately affected.
00:54:41.000 They asked me, a normal person, to help because Donald Trump won't.
00:54:47.000 The coronavirus has made it clear that there are two Americas.
00:54:47.000 Look at those people.
00:54:51.000 The America that Donald Trump lives in, and the America that my father died in.
00:54:57.000 Enough is enough.
00:55:00.000 Donald Trump may not have caused the coronavirus, but his dishonesty and his irresponsible actions made it so much worse.
00:55:09.000 We need a leader who has a national, coordinated, data driven response to stop this pandemic from claiming more lives and to safely reopen the country.
00:55:21.000 We need a leader who will step in on day one.
00:55:24.000 And do his job to care.
00:55:27.000 Yeah, that's a good point.
00:55:27.000 Nice highlights.
00:55:28.000 One of the last things that my father said to me was that he felt betrayed by the likes of Donald Trump.
00:55:35.000 And so when I cast my vote for Joe Biden, I will do it for my dad.
00:55:42.000 Thank you, Kristen, for sharing your story.
00:55:45.000 Our nation grieves for your father and all those who we've lost to this virus.
00:55:51.000 It's a toll that hasn't fallen equally on us.
00:55:54.000 People of color have been disproportionately affected, dying at greater rates than white Americans.
00:55:59.000 But we can honor all of those we've lost by giving Joe Biden and Kamala Harris the opportunity to put in place a real national plan that tests and tracks, that makes sure that access to a vaccine will be fair, and turns the full power of our government toward making sure we have the supplies and technology and people, scientists and public health officials and contact tracers.
00:56:23.000 We need to stop this.
00:56:26.000 So, right now, let's hear from a champion for our frontline workers who also happens to be an Olympic champion and a World Cup champion, Megan Rapino.
00:56:38.000 Hi, everybody.
00:56:39.000 My name is Megan Rapino, and I have the distinct honor today to host a conversation with four of our frontline workers here in America.
00:56:50.000 We should rename them heroes.
00:56:52.000 Absolutely.
00:56:54.000 Chung Lee, can you tell us a little bit about how you're doing during this time?
00:56:57.000 So early on, when the government was still trying to figure out proper protocols to protect frontline workers, I had unfortunately contracted COVID through a patient contact and was isolated by myself for two weeks.
00:57:14.000 So total isolation, no contact.
00:57:16.000 Once I recovered, luckily, I went back to the front lines to continue to take care of the sick.
00:57:21.000 And what got me originally was watching people die alone.
00:57:25.000 There were no visitors allowed.
00:57:27.000 Everyone was totally isolated.
00:57:29.000 And I knew how that felt because for two weeks, that was me, not knowing if you were going to wake up, not knowing if you were going to make it, who you were going to talk to, if you can say goodbye.
00:57:40.000 This was people's moms, dads, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, all dying alone.
00:57:46.000 And we know there's a round two coming.
00:57:48.000 And mentally, physically, emotionally, I don't know how many of us on front lines are going to survive that second round.
00:57:56.000 Dr. Bradley, what effects are you seeing inside your hospital doors?
00:58:02.000 Of the inaction of the Trump administration when it comes to this COVID response?
00:58:05.000 It's heavy.
00:58:06.000 I mean, I've left the emergency department in tears and so now a lot of my colleagues.
00:58:12.000 People are exhausted, and we're looking at the tsunami that's coming this winter with COVID and influenza.
00:58:18.000 And I think all of us are wondering how our system is not going to just collapse?
00:58:22.000 Because if we're not there, when people come with their broken arms or they come with their heart attacks and strokes, their appendicitis, we're not going to be there.
00:58:31.000 What were you seeing on the front lines?
00:58:33.000 Very trustworthy.
00:58:34.000 In those very early days that you knew it wasn't going to magically disappear.
00:58:37.000 Did you think it was a hoax?
00:58:38.000 What was going on here?
00:58:39.000 Oh, absolutely.
00:58:40.000 We knew that this was not a hoax.
00:58:42.000 We were certain of it.
00:58:44.000 All of us knew from experience back in 2009 with the swine flu.
00:58:48.000 We knew what a pandemic would look like.
00:58:50.000 We knew that we needed to have the tools and the resources and the plans in place.
00:58:56.000 But then we have the ineptitude and the lack of leadership from this administration.
00:59:02.000 I've seen the worst of the worst.
00:59:04.000 Not only have I answered thousands of calls of people that are sick, but people that are dying.
00:59:11.000 Michelle, tell us a little bit about how it's been.
00:59:14.000 For you on the front lines, what your specific role is.
00:59:19.000 As a union nurse, I've been primarily more in the forefront on advocating that our healthcare workers and our patients get the support and the PPE that they need.
00:59:32.000 You know, 10 years ago, I responded to the disaster in Haiti.
00:59:37.000 We were working in a tent hospital after the earthquake.
00:59:41.000 But, you know, the first time that I ever feared for my life, And my family's walking into work was in my own country.
00:59:52.000 We have the money, we have the means.
00:59:54.000 Really?
00:59:55.000 We have the resources in this country.
00:59:59.000 We are deeply lacking leadership and somebody who cares.
01:00:04.000 Trump has made it perfectly clear how he feels.
01:00:08.000 And we need a president who cares.
01:00:10.000 That's Joe Biden.
01:00:12.000 Dr. Bradley Dreyfus, Aldo Martinez, Michelle Boyle, and Chung Lee, I can't thank you enough.
01:00:20.000 The American people are forever indebted to you, to your work and your sacrifice, and just you showing up every single day and giving everything you have.
01:00:28.000 And thank you again for all of the work you do on the front line.
01:00:32.000 There's no way we could ever repay you.
01:00:34.000 So thank you very much.
01:00:42.000 Millions of people, veterans, and senior citizens rely on the postal system for prescription medicines, for their Checked.
01:00:51.000 Having the Postal Service deliver my prescriptions became even more comforting when the COVID 19 virus hit us here in the United States.
01:00:59.000 However, now with Donald Trump in office and his attempts to undermine the United States Postal Service, we are extremely concerned.
01:01:10.000 This administration's decision not to provide the necessary funding to the United States Postal Service is appalling.
01:01:18.000 I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.
01:01:21.000 Voting by mail is our Only realistic option.
01:01:26.000 In no way do I want my 11 grandchildren to grow up in a world where this kind of suppression exists.
01:01:43.000 I'm Sarah Gideon, and I'm running to represent Maine in the U.S. Senate.
01:01:48.000 Every day, I see the caring and resilient spirit that will get us through this crisis.
01:01:53.000 Americans are looking out for one another.
01:01:56.000 It's time we had leadership in Washington that did the same.
01:02:00.000 With Joe Biden in the White House and a Democratic Senate, I know we can build back our economy and our communities even stronger.
01:02:09.000 But tonight, I am here to welcome someone who has strong ties to our state and is here in Maine with me.
01:02:16.000 She is reminding all of us to keep fighting through with her song that she's performing, Back in My Body.
01:02:23.000 Please help me welcome someone who's an inspiration to all of us and one of my favorite artists, Maggie Rogers.
01:02:33.000 Oh, come on.
01:02:35.000 Are you serious?
01:02:37.000 Another musical performance?
01:02:38.000 This is perfect.
01:02:41.000 This is great.
01:02:47.000 I was stopped in London when I was.
01:02:50.000 I felt it coming down, crashing all around me with a great triumphant sound.
01:03:01.000 Like the dam was breaking, and my mind came rushing in.
01:03:09.000 I was stopped in London.
01:03:19.000 Somebody won't tell me the world is gonna roll me.
01:03:24.000 I'm gonna fall asleep if they have to.
01:03:26.000 She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb and the shape of an L on her forehead.
01:03:37.000 Well, the years start coming and they don't start coming.
01:03:40.000 I'm not going to the rules and I hit the ground running.
01:03:42.000 Didn't make sense not to live for fun.
01:03:45.000 Your brain gets smart, but your head gets dumb.
01:03:47.000 So much to do, so much to see, so what's wrong with it?
01:03:50.000 Take in the back streets.
01:03:51.000 You'll never know if you don't go.
01:03:54.000 You'll never shine if you don't blow.
01:03:55.000 Back already.
01:03:56.000 Hey now, you're an all star.
01:03:58.000 Get your game on.
01:03:59.000 Go play.
01:04:01.000 Hey now, you're a rock star.
01:04:03.000 Get the show on.
01:04:04.000 Get paid.
01:04:05.000 All that's good.
01:04:08.000 I think we're back.
01:04:09.000 To lead, to take responsibility.
01:04:12.000 We'll hear this week from Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Jill Biden, and from the candidates themselves.
01:04:18.000 We have a chance.
01:04:20.000 To choose a better future.
01:04:25.000 From NBC News, the Democratic National Convention, here are Lester Holt and Savannah Guthrie.
01:04:32.000 Good evening, everyone.
01:04:34.000 Welcome to NBC News Live coverage of the 2020.
01:04:36.000 This is like the prime time.
01:04:38.000 I guess that was like the pre show.
01:04:40.000 This is like the last hours when the convention plans in a big way.
01:04:44.000 The Democrats are up first and they are going all virtual time.
01:04:47.000 And already tonight, we've seen speakers share remarks from remote locations across the country, many of them in their own homes.
01:04:54.000 And many of the speeches are coming in from feeds provided by the DNC, either live or on tape.
01:05:00.000 Right now, you're seeing some of that feed.
01:05:02.000 We've seen music, we've seen stirring tributes, the sort of things we would typically see in a regular convention.
01:05:07.000 Well, what's a convention without big speeches?
01:05:09.000 And we'll have them tonight.
01:05:10.000 Senator Bernie Sanders will take the mic in just a few moments from now.
01:05:14.000 And the headliner of the evening, former First Lady Michelle Obama, she taped her remarks before tonight's event.
01:05:21.000 We're also going to dip in and give you some analysis about this convention week.
01:05:25.000 As well as what you, the voter, needs to know ahead of the November election.
01:05:29.000 The first live speaker we're expecting in this hour is Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
01:05:34.000 She's expected to appear any moment now and will focus on one of the big themes tonight the coronavirus pandemic.
01:05:39.000 Over the course of the night, the Democrats will also be talking about the tens of millions of Americans who are unemployed right now, also the racial injustice that has plagued our country.
01:05:49.000 We have our team of correspondents and analysts in place to cover it all.
01:05:53.000 Before Governor Whitmer takes the mic, let's check in quickly with NBC News.
01:05:56.000 Political director in my last podcast, Chuck Todd.
01:05:59.000 Chuck, what should we be listening and looking for this week?
01:06:03.000 Well, look, Joe Biden's lead has been powered by anti Trump fervor.
01:06:09.000 This week is a chance for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the campaign to provide material, to make the case of why people should be voting for their agenda.
01:06:20.000 They're doing well right now by being anti Trump, and we're going to hear a lot of anti Trump.
01:06:24.000 But this week, for it to be a success, they need to have people starting to think about being for Joe Biden.
01:06:29.000 All right, Chuck, thank you so much.
01:06:30.000 And let's go to Michigan's Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who is addressing the convention live.
01:06:35.000 Let's watch.
01:06:44.000 What's going on with that now?
01:06:46.000 Is that like a leather jacket?
01:06:47.000 Hello, America.
01:06:48.000 I'm Governor Gretchen Whitmer, or as Donald Trump calls me, that woman from Michigan.
01:06:54.000 Tonight I'm here at UAW Local 652 in Lansing, Michigan.
01:06:59.000 Autoworkers in this union and across our state could have lost their jobs if not for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
01:07:08.000 In 2009, the Obama Biden administration inherited the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
01:07:16.000 The auto industry on the brink of collapse.
01:07:19.000 A million jobs at stake.
01:07:21.000 But President Obama and Vice President Biden didn't waste time blaming anyone else or shirking their responsibility.
01:07:29.000 They got to work.
01:07:30.000 They brought together union members, companies, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, and they saved the auto industry.
01:07:39.000 And wouldn't you know, just a few months ago, as our nation began battling COVID 19, auto workers across Michigan sprang into action.
01:07:50.000 They started making protective equipment for doctors and nurses on the front lines.
01:07:55.000 Let me break it down.
01:07:56.000 President Obama and Vice President Biden saved these autoworkers' livelihoods.
01:08:02.000 Then these workers did their part to save American lives.
01:08:07.000 That's the story of this great nation.
01:08:10.000 Action begets action, progress begets progress.
01:08:15.000 And when we work together, we can accomplish anything.
01:08:19.000 After all, democracy is a team sport.
01:08:23.000 Especially now.
01:08:25.000 It's crucial that we rally together to fight this virus and build our economy back better.
01:08:31.000 From the jump, we took this pandemic seriously in Michigan.
01:08:36.000 We listened to medical experts.
01:08:38.000 We planned.
01:08:39.000 And with a lot of work from the autoworkers and too little help from the White House, we executed our plan.
01:08:46.000 We saved thousands of lives.
01:08:49.000 Just imagine if we had a national strategy so everyone who needs a test gets one for free.
01:08:55.000 So, everyone has access to a safe vaccine.
01:08:59.000 So, our kids and educators have the resources they need to safely get back to school.
01:09:04.000 With Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in the White House, we will.
01:09:08.000 Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will lead by example.
01:09:11.000 It'll be science, not politics or ego, that will drive their decisions.
01:09:17.000 They know the health of our people goes hand in hand with the strength of our economy.
01:09:23.000 They know action begets action.
01:09:27.000 Over the past few months, we've learned what's essential, rising to the challenge, not denying it.
01:09:34.000 We've learned who is essential to.
01:09:37.000 Not just the wealthiest among us, not a president who fights his fellow Americans rather than fight the virus that's killing us and our children.
01:09:47.000 It's the people who put their own health at risk to care for the rest of us.
01:09:52.000 They are the MVPs, the nurses and the doctors.
01:09:57.000 The utility workers, truck drivers, and grocery clerks, the child care workers, the parents, the teachers, the mail carriers, and the auto workers.
01:10:07.000 So many of these essential workers have lost their lives to COVID.
01:10:11.000 Nearly a thousand health care workers, more than 170,000 people across America, including a five year old girl named Skyler from Detroit, whose mom is a police officer and dad is a firefighter.
01:10:28.000 Generation after generation, our nation has been defined by what we do or what we fail to do.
01:10:36.000 So, for Skyler, for her parents, and in the memory of all those we've lost, let us act.
01:10:45.000 Let us heal as one nation.
01:10:48.000 Let us find strength to do the work.
01:10:52.000 Governor Gretchen Whitmer, the first speaker of this hour, the Michigan governor has received a lot of attention, certainly for her handling of the coronavirus pandemic, also some criticism.
01:11:04.000 Joining our coverage, senior Washington correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
01:11:09.000 Andreas, who said she didn't want to leave Michigan, even though her name appeared on that VP list.
01:11:13.000 What is her future in this party?
01:11:15.000 Oh, she's got a great future in the party.
01:11:17.000 And he, Joe Biden, really, really liked her and was very inclined to go with her as a running mate.
01:11:24.000 But first, she has a lot of credibility for the way she handled the pandemic in Michigan.
01:11:29.000 And that's what she was really aiming at today.
01:11:31.000 That, tonight, that, and also trying to reach out to those Trump Democrats, the auto workers, the other union members.
01:11:39.000 You know, they lost Michigan by 10,000 votes.
01:11:42.000 And this is a Critical state for them to reclaim, and that's why she was given such a great platform tonight.
01:11:48.000 Absolutely, and speaking of a big platform, tonight is Michelle Obama's night.
01:11:52.000 She is essentially the keynote speaker.
01:11:55.000 We await any moment someone you might not expect to see at a Democratic convention, former Republican governor of Ohio, John Kasich.
01:12:01.000 That's coming up next as we keep our eye on that Democratic convention feed.
01:12:05.000 But we want to turn now for more analysis to NBC News contributors, Senator Claire McCaskey, former senator from Missouri, and the editor of the National Review, Rich.
01:12:14.000 Lowry, Senator McCarthy.
01:12:16.000 I don't want to watch.
01:12:17.000 I think we have to go first tonight.
01:12:19.000 And let's pick up on where Andrea just left off because it's no accident that Democrats are launching in Michigan with the governor of Michigan.
01:12:27.000 That is a must win state.
01:12:28.000 Democrats have to reclaim this Rust Belt Midwest territory that you know so well.
01:12:35.000 Yeah, I think.
01:12:38.000 Tommy?
01:12:39.000 No.
01:12:41.000 Don't care.
01:12:46.000 Far back it goes.
01:12:47.000 But this isn't about a Republican or Democrat.
01:12:50.000 It's about a person.
01:12:51.000 This is it, right?
01:12:52.000 A person decent enough, stable enough.
01:12:54.000 We have like 11,000 people watching this stream.
01:12:57.000 They've got 16,000.
01:13:00.000 I'm the Joe Biden campaign watching.
01:13:02.000 Donald Trump isn't that person.
01:13:04.000 Joe Biden is.
01:13:07.000 I'm Meg Whitman.
01:13:08.000 I'm a longtime Republican.
01:13:10.000 Is this it?
01:13:10.000 A longtime Republican and a longtime CEO.
01:13:13.000 And let me tell you, Donald Trump has a lot of people.
01:13:15.000 I guess that's a Joe Biden who has an 85th, let alone an economy.
01:13:18.000 Joe Biden, on the other hand, has a plan that will strengthen our economy for working people and small business owners.
01:13:24.000 For me, the choice is simple.
01:13:26.000 I'm with Joe.
01:13:27.000 Yeah, no surprise there.
01:13:28.000 Hi, I'm Susan Molinari.
01:13:30.000 I'm a former Republican member of Congress from New York City.
01:13:33.000 And I've known Donald Trump for most of my political career.
01:13:36.000 Look at those hands.
01:13:37.000 So disappointing and lately so disturbing.
01:13:41.000 Now, I've also gotten to know and work with Joe Biden on these things.
01:13:44.000 Look at those hands.
01:13:44.000 Imagine her opening a pickle jar with one hand.
01:13:48.000 Hey, could you open this?
01:13:49.000 That's why I'm so proud to call him my friend.
01:13:52.000 And honored to join in supporting his candidacy.
01:13:56.000 He's a really good man.
01:13:57.000 And he's exactly what this nation needs at this time.
01:14:00.000 Do you open this bottle of vitamin water?
01:14:01.000 No, I'm delighted and honored to introduce a former colleague.
01:14:04.000 Giant hand.
01:14:05.000 The former congressman from Ohio and the former governor of Ohio, John Kasich.
01:14:11.000 America is at a crossroads.
01:14:12.000 Sometimes elections represent a real choice, a choice we make as individuals and as a nation about which path we want to take when we've come to challenging times.
01:14:21.000 Come on, man.
01:14:22.000 America is at that crossroads today.
01:14:25.000 The stakes in this election are greater than any in modern times.
01:14:30.000 Many of us have been deeply concerned about the current path we've been following for the past four years.
01:14:36.000 It's a path that's led to division, dysfunction, irresponsibility, and growing vitriol between our citizens.
01:14:44.000 Continuing to follow that path will have terrible consequences for America's soul because we're being taken down the wrong road by a president who is pitted one against the other.
01:14:55.000 He's unlike all of our best leaders before him who worked to unite us to bridge our differences.
01:15:02.000 And lead us to a united America.
01:15:05.000 I'm a lifelong Republican, but that attachment holds second place to my responsibility to my country.
01:15:12.000 That's why I've chosen to appear at this convention.
01:15:15.000 In normal times, something like this would probably never happen, but these are not normal times.
01:15:22.000 I'm proud of my Republican heritage.
01:15:24.000 It's the party of Lincoln, who reflected its founding principles of unity and a higher purpose.
01:15:31.000 But what I have witnessed these past four years belies those principles.
01:15:36.000 Many of us can't imagine four more years going down this path.
01:15:41.000 And that's why I'm asking you to join with me in choosing a better way forward.
01:15:47.000 I believe the best of America lies ahead, but only when we rediscovered our shared belief in the United States of America for our children's future, which can be bright, hopeful, and inspired if we choose to make it so.
01:16:04.000 I've known Joe Biden for 30 years.
01:16:06.000 I know his story of profound grief that has so deeply affected his character.
01:16:12.000 I know Joe is a good man, a man of faith, a unifier, someone who understands the hopes and dreams of the common man and the common woman, a man who can help us to see the humanity in each other.
01:16:26.000 He knows that the path to a restored and rejuvenated America lies in respect and unity and a common purpose for everyone.
01:16:35.000 Yes, there are areas where Joe and I absolutely disagree, but that's okay.
01:16:40.000 Because that's America.
01:16:42.000 Because whatever our differences, we respect one another as human beings.
01:16:47.000 Each of us searching for justice.
01:16:48.000 But that's okay.
01:16:49.000 That's America.
01:16:50.000 No, it's an election.
01:16:51.000 We can all see what's going on in our country today and all the questions that are facing us.
01:16:56.000 And no one person or party has all the answers.
01:17:00.000 But what we do know is that we can do better than what we've been seeing today, for sure.
01:17:06.000 And I know that Joe Biden, with his experience and his wisdom and his decency, can bring us together to help us find that better way.
01:17:15.000 I'm sure there are Republicans and independents who couldn't imagine crossing over to support a Democrat.
01:17:21.000 They fear Joe may turn sharp left and leave them behind.
01:17:25.000 I don't believe that because I know the measure of the man.
01:17:29.000 It's reasonable, faithful, respectful.
01:17:32.000 And you know, no one pushes Joe around.
01:17:36.000 Joe Biden is a man for our times, times that call for all of us to take off our partisan hats and put our nation first for ourselves.
01:17:45.000 And of course, for our children.
01:17:46.000 Who actually believes in America?
01:17:47.000 America chooses the right path and pulls together like we've done so many times before.
01:17:52.000 You know, we can dream big dreams and we can see the top of the mountain as a United States of America with a soul that is a beacon of freedom to the entire world.
01:18:08.000 Hello, my name is Terry Williams and I've been a Republican for all of my adult life.
01:18:12.000 A lifelong Republican.
01:18:13.000 Republican, a lifelong Republican.
01:18:15.000 I've been a long standing Republican.
01:18:17.000 And I'm telling you, You got to vote for Joe Biden.
01:18:21.000 I have voted for and campaigned for Republicans since the Reagan years, but I won't be voting for Donald Trump in November.
01:18:27.000 I'm supporting Joe Biden for president.
01:18:30.000 We need a positive leader, someone who can work with both sides, Republicans and the Democrats.
01:18:37.000 I don't think we can deal with the type of person we have in the White House any longer.
01:18:41.000 Vote America.
01:18:43.000 That's the only way to get out of this.
01:18:45.000 And Joe Biden is just the person to ensure we get our lives back to normal.
01:18:49.000 Joe Biden is a decent man with a long history of public service to America.
01:18:53.000 He will restore order and security.
01:18:55.000 It's so disturbing.
01:18:56.000 These people are like robots.
01:18:58.000 Donald Trump is disrupting the pedophile returns.
01:19:01.000 Our country's political discourse and all of that are like, no, no, we have to go back.
01:19:11.000 Vampiric parasitism at the top.
01:19:21.000 And now, from Alabama, Senator Doug Jones.
01:19:25.000 I'm Senator Doug Jones from the great state of Alabama.
01:19:28.000 Growing up in the South meant growing up in the midst of stark divisions.
01:19:32.000 But it was here in Alabama where Rosa Parks helped ignite a movement by refusing to give up her seat on a bus, where freedom riders of different races came together in pursuit of equality.
01:19:43.000 And it was here in Alabama where John Lewis marched across a bridge toward freedom.
01:19:48.000 From a young age, I knew the hope that comes from seeing good people work to heal our divisions.
01:19:54.000 It's what led me to become the United States Attorney, where I convicted two Klansmen who murdered four young black girls in a 1963 Birmingham church bombing and delivered long overdue justice.
01:20:06.000 I'm standing in front of an exhibit dedicated to their memory.
01:20:10.000 Alabama has shown me that even our deepest divisions can be overcome because each of us want the same thing to be treated fairly and given the same opportunities and the freedom to live with dignity and respect.
01:20:22.000 Now, some politicians try to pit us against each other.
01:20:26.000 But I believe that Americans have more in common than what divides us.
01:20:30.000 And in November, we have a chance to elect a president who believes that too.
01:20:34.000 I've known Joe for more than 40 years.
01:20:37.000 I met him as a wide-eyed law student, and he's been my friend and champion ever since.
01:20:42.000 The Joe I know is exactly the leader our country needs right now.
01:20:46.000 He can bring people together to find common ground while standing up for what he believes is right.
01:20:51.000 After years of bitter partisanship, he can unite our country and get things done for working families and everyone looking for a better future.
01:21:00.000 Because it's not about what side of the aisle we're on.
01:21:03.000 It's about whether or not we're on the side of the people.
01:21:06.000 The great John Lewis would often quote the old African proverb when you pray, move your feet, and then challenge us to do just that.
01:21:14.000 As a nation, he said, if we're killed for the beloved people, we must move our feet, our hands, our resources to build and not tear down, to reconcile and not to divide, to love and not to hate, to heal and not to kill.
01:21:29.000 In the final analysis, we are one people.
01:21:32.000 One family, one house, the American house, the American family.
01:21:37.000 Vice President Biden understands that, and he is who we need as our next president.
01:21:46.000 Here we are on a Monday night in 2020, and we need to talk about the Post Office, the U.S. Postal Service.
01:21:57.000 It is central to so much of our lives.
01:21:59.000 Veterans count on the Post Office to get their prescriptions.
01:22:03.000 Social Security beneficiaries count on the post office to get their checks.
01:22:08.000 Grandparents depend on the post office to send birthday cards to their grandkids.
01:22:13.000 Small businesses need the post office to do business.
01:22:17.000 And guess what?
01:22:18.000 The post office is also one of the ways we cast our votes.
01:22:23.000 To find out how to exercise that right this November, whether by mail or in person, text VOTE to 30330.
01:22:32.000 I'm hungry.
01:22:33.000 And here to say more is the first Latina elected to the United States Senate, Senator Catherine Cortez Masto.
01:22:46.000 Hello, I'm Senator Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada.
01:22:50.000 This year, more Americans than ever before are going to vote from rooms just like this, marking their ballots at the kitchen table and exercising one of our most fundamental rights from home.
01:23:01.000 But despite what the president says, voting by mail has been a secure, proven option for decades.
01:23:07.000 In 2016, 33 million Americans voted by mail.
01:23:11.000 Even Donald Trump has requested an absentee ballot twice this year.
01:23:16.000 This fall, some Americans will choose to vote in a voting booth with a mask on, while many of us will choose to vote by mail.
01:23:23.000 What does that say?
01:23:24.000 My home state took the advice of scientists and medical experts and listened to the people of Nevada to put in place a vote by mail system.
01:23:32.000 It doesn't look like it.
01:23:32.000 So voters have a lot of options this fall.
01:23:36.000 But Donald Trump is trying to divide us by undermining that right.
01:23:40.000 He has threatened to withhold federal funding to Nevada because of our vote by mail system.
01:23:45.000 That's funding our schools and seniors rely on.
01:23:48.000 He has challenged us in court with a meritless lawsuit, one that our Republican Secretary of State has asked the judge to dismiss.
01:23:57.000 And now he is putting the lives of Nevada's seniors at risk by trying to defund the post office.
01:24:03.000 Here's what that means seniors won't be able to get their prescriptions because he wants to win an election.
01:24:10.000 Well, Mr. President, Nevada is not intimidated by you, America is not intimidated by you.
01:24:17.000 We are united by shared values.
01:24:20.000 Shared history and shared rights, including our fundamental right to vote.
01:24:26.000 And this fall, we will send Joe Biden to the White House and will flip the U.S. Senate.
01:24:32.000 With Mitch McConnell out of power and a Democratic majority in the Senate, we will expand voting access and protect voting rights.
01:24:41.000 To do this, America, we need you on our side.
01:24:45.000 So go to joebiden.com right now to chip in.
01:24:48.000 And then head over to fliptesenate.com to help us take back the Senate.
01:24:54.000 Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell know how to divide, but we know how to stand together and turn this country around.
01:25:05.000 This year, we had an historic field of presidential candidates.
01:25:09.000 An historic number of women, including our vice presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, more candidates of color than any primary ever, and the first openly gay man to win a caucus.
01:25:21.000 This party, the Democratic Party, welcomes everyone.
01:25:25.000 Encourages everyone to lead and invites everyone's ideas to ensure this country builds back better.
01:25:33.000 This is what our next speaker believes, too, Senator Amy Klobuchar.
01:25:45.000 Hello, America.
01:25:47.000 Like my friend Catherine, I believe that the right to vote is fundamental and the post office is essential.
01:25:56.000 You know, the president may hate the post office, but he's still going to have to send them a change of address card come January.
01:26:04.000 Donald Trump just happens to be in my state today, trying to divide people instead of responding to the pandemic and the significant needs of our economy.
01:26:14.000 But Democrats, independents, and yes, many Republicans have had enough.
01:26:19.000 Of his divisiveness.
01:26:21.000 Tonight, my friends, in contrast, we've heard a lot about how we can unite as Americans, about our shared values, our shared dreams, how we've come together in the face of crisis.
01:26:33.000 But I want to be clear unity isn't about settling, it's about striving for something more.
01:26:39.000 It isn't the end, it's the means.
01:26:42.000 It's how we get stuff done.
01:26:44.000 Unity is about reaching up toward a higher purpose, a better future for all of us.
01:26:50.000 E pluribus unum, out of many, one.
01:26:54.000 It is more than a motto.
01:26:56.000 It is the North Star for our democracy.
01:26:59.000 Now more than ever, we need a president who will unite this country.
01:27:03.000 We need a president who, in George Floyd's memory, instead of using the Bible as a prop, will heed its words to act justly.
01:27:14.000 We need a president for the workers who've lost their jobs because this administration is selling American workers out when we need to buy American.
01:27:24.000 For the farmers and manufacturers and the people of rural America who are sick and tired of reaping what he's sown.
01:27:31.000 We need a president who will look out for the seniors like my dad, whose families now visit them through glass windows, never knowing if it will be the last time they see them.
01:27:43.000 We need a president for all of America.
01:27:46.000 I come from the middle of this country where we believe in people joining together to solve problems.
01:27:52.000 We seek common ground.
01:27:54.000 To reach higher ground.
01:27:56.000 That's been Joe Biden's life's work.
01:27:59.000 He's a man of scrappy working class roots, a man whose own hardships have only made him more determined to lift up those who have been left out.
01:28:08.000 He understands redemption and he knows resilience.
01:28:13.000 Joe Biden's a man of deep experience.
01:28:16.000 Barack Obama, better known tonight as Michelle's husband, he leaned on Joe for his strength and decency, and you can too.
01:28:27.000 You know, most candidates, when they end their campaign, that day is a hard one.
01:28:33.000 For me, it was a moment filled with great joy because the day I ended my presidential campaign was also the day I endorsed Joe Biden.
01:28:42.000 Joe ran for the same reasons I did when I announced my campaign in the middle of that blizzard on the banks of the Mississippi River.
01:28:50.000 Yeah, Joe Biden.
01:28:50.000 To cross the river of our divides, to bring this nation together, to be a president for all of America.
01:28:58.000 As I said the day I endorsed him, If you feel stuck in the middle of the extremes in our politics, if you are tired of the noise and the nonsense, you have a home with me and you have a home with Joe Biden.
01:29:13.000 That's why I was so proud to stand with him then and to address this great country.
01:29:18.000 That's why I'm now standing united behind Joe and my friend Kamala.
01:29:25.000 Our nation's motto is out of many, one.
01:29:29.000 And as you're about to see, it's also the story of the Democratic primary.
01:29:35.000 Thank you, America.
01:29:43.000 We all ran for president motivated by the same reason.
01:29:47.000 As I watched President Trump divide this country more and more, I thought to myself, what are you willing to do to stop him?
01:29:54.000 You had the most destructive, hateful, racist president in the history of this country who is literally tearing apart the fabric of the United States of America.
01:30:05.000 Donald Trump is a failed business person and desperately failed us as a president.
01:30:09.000 We will run!
01:30:09.000 I hate that guy.
01:30:11.000 I ran for president because I think it's urgent that we heal the divisions.
01:30:14.000 In this nation, we are still in control of our own future, and we need to provide millions of Americans a real path forward.
01:30:21.000 A green tax program, increasing the minimum wage, passing a national loan debt, mental health, starting with our costs, reproductive justice, economic justice, racial justice.
01:30:35.000 And there is so much a new president can do to bring us together.
01:30:39.000 It's time, yeah, yeah, I know, I know.
01:30:43.000 Starting a presidential campaign is daunting.
01:30:45.000 Hang on, one sec.
01:30:46.000 I mean, you have to reach hundreds.
01:30:48.000 Billions of people.
01:30:50.000 You have these incredibly long days.
01:30:52.000 But I'm checking my DMs on stream.
01:30:55.000 Let me check, all right?
01:31:00.000 Yeah, not yet.
01:31:03.000 That I really admire about Joe Biden.
01:31:05.000 He really is his own man.
01:31:07.000 He knows who he is.
01:31:08.000 Joe Biden is somebody who deeply cares about people.
01:31:11.000 People who are marginalized, who are left behind.
01:31:15.000 OBS is awesome.
01:31:16.000 Have I ever told you how much I love OBS?
01:31:18.000 I love you every time.
01:31:19.000 And you're staying, man.
01:31:19.000 Thank you so much.
01:31:21.000 You know, he's had some hard times in his life.
01:31:23.000 He's had some losses in his life.
01:31:24.000 All right, here we go.
01:31:26.000 And I think that is something that people relate to.
01:31:29.000 You're doing okay?
01:31:32.000 15 years cancer free.
01:31:32.000 Yep.
01:31:33.000 God love you.
01:31:34.000 Well, I was at a service for four full Afghanistan soldiers.
01:31:37.000 You know what?
01:31:38.000 I'll put it in theater mode.
01:31:39.000 I think we need to do full screen.
01:31:40.000 When they walked out, they knew someone cared for them.
01:31:43.000 Someone could relate to their own pain they were having.
01:31:46.000 We need that in the White House.
01:31:48.000 All my DMs are like, you're showing your DMs.
01:31:51.000 You're showing your DMs.
01:31:53.000 But what was remarkable to me.
01:31:55.000 Was in the commercial break, puts his arm around me and starts telling me how good my ideas are.
01:32:02.000 And next thing you know, I feel like he's giving me a pep talk and literally telling me how important it is, how really important it is that I'm on that stage.
01:32:13.000 Joe called me the night I suspended and was extraordinarily gracious and comforting.
01:32:19.000 And he told me I should be proud of myself, said that I did myself and my family a real service and the country a service.
01:32:28.000 And that meant a lot coming from Joe.
01:32:29.000 Look, it's not easy to unite the Democratic Party.
01:32:32.000 We're a rambunctious group.
01:32:34.000 Joe Biden has pulled it off.
01:32:35.000 He wants to get the best ideas on the table so we can move forward in the best way possible.
01:32:41.000 He's included my family Bill of Rights.
01:32:44.000 He has unified our group around a clean energy strategy.
01:32:47.000 The Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.
01:32:49.000 I'm very excited that that's in there.
01:32:52.000 He's the kind of leader that brings other leaders in.
01:32:55.000 This is a guy that's going to walk into the Oval Office and not have to find his way around, but it will actually walk in.
01:33:03.000 And have already sort of honed the instincts you need to lead the most powerful nation on earth through a crisis.
01:33:13.000 On the other side, Donald Trump does not understand who we are as Americans.
01:33:18.000 He really doesn't.
01:33:20.000 This is a guy that blames everyone for everything.
01:33:24.000 You know, he blames the city of Baltimore, he blames the country of Denmark, he blames the Prime Minister of Canada for cutting him out of the Canadian version of Home Alone 2.
01:33:36.000 Who does that?
01:33:37.000 There are no sidelines.
01:33:38.000 There's no sitting this one out.
01:33:40.000 There's no hoping that someone else is going to come in and save the day.
01:33:43.000 There is no cavalry.
01:33:45.000 We are the cavalry.
01:33:46.000 The moment has found the person.
01:33:48.000 I hate that person.
01:33:49.000 That person is Joe Biden.
01:33:50.000 Joe has my vote because he will bring decency and dignity back to the White House.
01:33:56.000 We've got one shot to make Donald Trump a one term president.
01:33:59.000 And that shot is right now.
01:34:02.000 It's Joe time!
01:34:04.000 It's Joe time!
01:34:05.000 Oh, come on.
01:34:06.000 That is so fake.
01:34:08.000 We understand that things.
01:34:09.000 A lot of Zoomers, I'm sure, are really hyped up for Joe Biden.
01:34:14.000 We need your help.
01:34:15.000 If you're able to go to joebiden.com and chip in five, $10, whatever you can, to fund the change we need to save our democracy, because every bit matters.
01:34:26.000 And it's going to take all of us to make this happen.
01:34:28.000 And no one knows that more than our next speaker, the Biden Harris campaign's co chair, Representative Cedric Richmond from New Orleans, Louisiana.
01:34:40.000 Think about the places that make your neighborhood feel like home the barbershop, where you can catch up on the latest neighborhood news while you get your hair cut.
01:34:48.000 The restaurant, where they know your order by heart.
01:34:51.000 Or this art studio, where a creative guy with a great idea and a ton of hustle turned an abandoned building into a second home for the entire community.
01:35:01.000 You know, economists will tell you that small businesses like this one are critically important to our recovery.
01:35:07.000 But they're also just plain important.
01:35:10.000 Without them, the places we call home just wouldn't be the same.
01:35:14.000 That's the thing Joe Biden understands that Donald Trump never has.
01:35:18.000 And never will.
01:35:20.000 When we talk about the economy, it's not just about the stock market.
01:35:24.000 It's about whether you can find work that really means something to you instead of feeling like you're supposed to be grateful just to get a paycheck.
01:35:32.000 It's about whether people who didn't inherit millions from their parents can build a business from the ground up and have a real chance to compete.
01:35:40.000 And it's about whether in the richest country on earth, everyone, including women and people of color, feel included and empowered.
01:35:50.000 Economists will also tell you.
01:35:52.000 That Joe Biden's plan to rebuild our economy will create millions of jobs.
01:35:57.000 But Joe will tell you that his plan is about more than that, because he's seen the world from a different perspective than most politicians.
01:36:05.000 He knows what it's like to live in a real neighborhood, not just penthouse apartments.
01:36:09.000 He knows what it's like to take the train to work, not just a chauffeured limousine.
01:36:14.000 That's why he looks at our economic challenges the same way working people do, and he'll solve them in a way that puts working people first.
01:36:23.000 Joe Biden respects America's workers because he truly understands the dignity of work.
01:36:31.000 You know, it was mostly small talk when we first met.
01:36:36.000 When I would collect his ticket, and time went on, I learned more and more about him as our friendship grew.
01:36:45.000 I think he's most comfortable around everyday working class people.
01:36:49.000 He just always makes you feel like you belong.
01:37:00.000 For more than 30 years, Joe Biden took the train to work.
01:37:06.000 As a single dad, he promised to be home to kiss the boys every night and then make them breakfast in the morning.
01:37:13.000 This is supposed to be a convention.
01:37:15.000 Where's the stuff?
01:37:17.000 When he got on the train, everyone seemed equal to him.
01:37:20.000 He had time for everybody.
01:37:22.000 Joe was a regular.
01:37:24.000 He bought rounds of coffee for fellow passengers and crew.
01:37:28.000 And he got so what?
01:37:30.000 I don't care.
01:37:31.000 These guys broke their necks.
01:37:33.000 They're always rocking, keeping their balance, collecting tickets, help people with their bags that are heavy as hell.
01:37:39.000 And they're doing this for hours.
01:37:42.000 And we became really good friends.
01:37:45.000 He was very interested in my life, my children.
01:37:48.000 Wow, he was not a child.
01:37:49.000 He was one of my grandchildren.
01:37:52.000 People don't do that today.
01:37:53.000 People don't even take time out to say hello or nod their head to the average working person.
01:37:58.000 They looked at us like we were important people.
01:38:02.000 He would treat the conductor the same as he would the president of the United States.
01:38:08.000 That is what dad taught us, that everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
01:38:15.000 After Joe became vice president, he cut down on his commute, but he kept in touch.
01:38:22.000 Wow.
01:38:23.000 When Greg Weaver had a heart attack, he got a phone call.
01:38:27.000 I was in a barbershop in New York City, and the phone rings.
01:38:31.000 And sure enough, it was Vice President Biden asking me how I'm doing.
01:38:35.000 He wanted to know the whole story.
01:38:37.000 It's kind of funny that you're talking to the vice president.
01:38:39.000 President of the United States, but if I would have told them people in the barbershop, I don't think they would have believed me.
01:38:46.000 I'm not saying it like it was me and I was anything special.
01:38:49.000 Everybody was special to him.
01:38:52.000 We have heroes all over this country, and a lot of the essential workers out there that we don't even see that are behind the scenes are keeping this country going.
01:39:01.000 He understands that.
01:39:02.000 Yeah, that's great.
01:39:05.000 The average guy is important to him.
01:39:10.000 The average guy is important to him.
01:39:13.000 Oh my gosh, who falls for this shit?
01:39:19.000 Good evening.
01:39:20.000 Here we go.
01:39:21.000 Our great nation is now living in an unprecedented moment.
01:39:26.000 We're facing the worst public health crisis in a hundred years and the worst economic collapse since the Great Depression.
01:39:34.000 We are confronting systemic racism and the enormous threat to our planet of climate change.
01:39:40.000 And in the midst of all of this, We have a president who is not only incapable of addressing these crises, but is leading us down the path of authoritarianism.
01:39:53.000 This election is the most important in the modern history of this country.
01:39:59.000 In response to the unprecedented crises we face, we need an unprecedented response, a movement like never before of people who are prepared to stand up and fight for democracy and decency and against.
01:40:16.000 Greed, oligarchy, and bigotry.
01:40:19.000 And we need Joe Biden as our next president.
01:40:24.000 Let me take this opportunity to say a word to the millions of people who supported my campaign this year and in 2016.
01:40:35.000 My friends, thank you for your trust, your support, and the love you showed Jane, me, and our family.
01:40:44.000 Together, we have moved this country in a bold new direction, showing that all of us.
01:40:50.000 Black and white, Latino, Native American, Asian American, gay and straight, native born and immigrant, yearn for a nation based on the principles of justice, love, and compassion.
01:41:07.000 Our campaign ended several months ago, but our movement continues and is getting stronger every day.
01:41:16.000 Many of the ideas we fought for that just a few years ago were considered radical are now mainstream.
01:41:24.000 But let us be clear.
01:41:26.000 If Donald Trump is re elected, all the progress we have made will be in jeopardy.
01:41:33.000 At its most basic, this election is about preserving our democracy.
01:41:39.000 During this president's term, the unthinkable has become normal.
01:41:45.000 He has tried to prevent people from voting, undermined the U.S. Postal Service, deployed the military and federal agents against peaceful protesters, threatened to delay the election, and suggested.
01:41:59.000 That he will not leave office if he loses.
01:42:03.000 This is not normal, and we must never treat it like it is.
01:42:09.000 Under this administration, authoritarianism has taken root in our country.
01:42:17.000 I and my family, and many of yours, know the insidious way authoritarianism destroys democracy, decency, and humanity.
01:42:28.000 As long as I am here, I will work with progressives.
01:42:33.000 With moderates and yes, with conservatives to preserve this nation from a threat that so many of our heroes fought and died to defeat.
01:42:47.000 This president is not just a threat to our democracy, by rejecting science, he has put our lives and health in jeopardy.
01:42:58.000 Trump has attacked doctors and scientists trying to protect us from the pandemic.
01:43:03.000 Good.
01:43:04.000 While refusing to take strong action.
01:43:07.000 To produce the masks, gowns, and gloves our healthcare workers desperately need.
01:43:14.000 Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
01:43:18.000 Trump golfs.
01:43:20.000 His actions fanned this pandemic, resulting in over 170,000 deaths in my nation.
01:43:27.000 Still, on the political record, this is the level of discourse.
01:43:32.000 This is the level of rhetoric.
01:43:33.000 Furthermore, Trump's goblins has exacerbated the economic crisis in our experience.
01:43:40.000 Joe Biden.
01:43:41.000 Since this pandemic began, over 30 million people have lost their jobs and many have lost their health insurance.
01:43:51.000 Millions of working families are wondering how they will feed their kids and they're worried that they will be evicted from their homes.
01:44:01.000 And how has Trump responded?
01:44:02.000 The evictions have been in the past.
01:44:03.000 Instead of maintaining the $600 a week unemployment supplement that workers were receiving and the $1,200 emergency checks that many of you received, Instead of helping small businesses, Trump concocted fraudulent executive orders that do virtually nothing to address the crisis while threatening the very future of Social Security and Medicare.
01:44:31.000 But the truth is that even before Trump's negligent response to this pandemic, too many hardworking families have been caught on an economic treadmill with no hope of ever getting ahead.
01:44:46.000 Together, we must build a nation that is more equitable, more compassionate, and more inclusive.
01:44:55.000 I know that Joe Biden will begin that fight on day one.
01:45:01.000 Let me offer you just a few examples of how Joe will move us forward.
01:45:07.000 Joe supports raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour.
01:45:11.000 This will give 40 million workers a pay raise and push the wage scale up for everyone else.
01:45:19.000 Joe will also make it easier for workers to join unions, create 12 weeks of paid family leave, fund universal pre K for three and four year olds, and make child care affordable for millions of families.
01:45:36.000 Joe will rebuild our crumbling infrastructure and fight the threat of climate change by transitioning us to 100% clean electricity over the next 15 years.
01:45:50.000 These initiatives will create millions of good paying jobs all across our country.
01:45:58.000 As you know, we are the only industrialized nation not to guarantee health care for all people.
01:46:06.000 While Joe and I disagree on the best path to get universal coverage, he has a plan that will greatly expand health care and cut the cost of prescription drugs.
01:46:20.000 Further, he will lower the eligibility age of Medicare from 65 down to 60.
01:46:28.000 To help reform our broken criminal justice system, Joe will end private prisons and detention centers, cash bail, and the school to prison pipeline.
01:46:41.000 And to heal the soul of our nation, Joe Biden will end the hate and division Trump has created.
01:46:49.000 No, he won't.
01:46:50.000 Because we'll all still be here.
01:46:54.000 We might be in jail.
01:46:57.000 The religious bigotry and the ugly attack.
01:46:59.000 Or they'll take us offline, but I'll still be hating and divided.
01:47:03.000 I'll still be full of hate.
01:47:07.000 And totally divided.
01:47:12.000 The future of our democracy is at stake.
01:47:16.000 The future of our economy is at stake.
01:47:20.000 The future of our planet is at stake.
01:47:23.000 We must come together, defeat.
01:47:27.000 Donald Trump and elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as our next president and vice president.
01:47:35.000 My friends, the price of failure is just too great to imagine.
01:47:42.000 Thank you.
01:47:43.000 Thanks.
01:47:44.000 All right.
01:47:47.000 Oh, come on.
01:47:50.000 Dude, come on.
01:47:52.000 Look at this now.
01:47:56.000 What the.
01:47:57.000 What the fuck was that?
01:48:00.000 That was bad.
01:48:03.000 My American dream is to have an America where.
01:48:06.000 That was rough.
01:48:07.000 Affordable housing.
01:48:09.000 But for every human being, it is important to have access to quality health care and economic means to care for themselves and families.
01:48:17.000 Access to equality and equitable education.
01:48:20.000 A system of government that protects the workers and their families.
01:48:25.000 Joe Biden throughout his career has focused on rebuilding the middle class.
01:48:29.000 We need a leader that actually supports.
01:48:31.000 Supports our unions for our hardworking people.
01:48:34.000 Real leadership to show genuine support for small businesses during this downturn due to the COVID crisis.
01:48:40.000 I believe Joe Biden has the experience, the platform, and the energy to build America.
01:48:48.000 He was like a peanut M app.
01:48:49.000 He wants good things for all Americans, not just a select few.
01:49:03.000 The voices we long to hear right now are the ones that speak with courage and kindness, strength and wisdom, love and compassion.
01:49:12.000 They're unafraid to speak the truth and talk about their own uncertainties and struggles.
01:49:18.000 They make us feel seen and inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves.
01:49:24.000 I want a regular MM right now.
01:49:25.000 The speaker is that for all of us.
01:49:27.000 I want one.
01:49:28.000 It is my honor and privilege to introduce the former First Lady, Michelle Obama.
01:49:37.000 Good evening, everyone.
01:49:40.000 It's a hard time, and everyone's feeling it in different ways.
01:49:45.000 And I know a lot of folks are reluctant to tune into a political convention right now.
01:49:50.000 Look at that ugly face.
01:49:51.000 Or to politics in general.
01:49:52.000 Believe me, I get that.
01:49:55.000 But I am here tonight because I love this country with all my heart.
01:50:00.000 And it pains me to see so many people hurting.
01:50:04.000 I've met so many of you, I've heard your stories.
01:50:08.000 And through you, I have seen this country's promise.
01:50:14.000 And thanks to so many who came before me, thanks to their toil and sweat and blood, I've been able to live that promise myself.
01:50:24.000 That's the story of America.
01:50:28.000 All those folks who sacrificed and overcame so much in their own times because they wanted something more, something better for their kids.
01:50:39.000 There's a lot of beauty in that story.
01:50:42.000 There's a lot of pain in it, too.
01:50:44.000 A lot of struggle and injustice and work left to do.
01:50:49.000 And who we choose as our president in this election will determine whether or not we honor that struggle and chip away at that injustice and keep alive the very possibility of finishing that work.
01:51:06.000 I am one of a handful of people living today who have seen firsthand the immense weight.
01:51:13.000 And the awesome power of the presidency.
01:51:17.000 And let me once again tell you this the job is hard.
01:51:23.000 It requires clear headed judgment, a mastery of complex and competing issues, a devotion to facts and history, a moral compass, and an ability to listen, and an abiding belief that each of the 330 million lives in this country has meaning.
01:51:47.000 And worth.
01:51:50.000 A president's words have the power to move markets.
01:51:54.000 They can start wars or broker peace.
01:51:57.000 They can summon our better angels or awaken our worst instincts.
01:52:03.000 Yeah, thank you.
01:52:04.000 You simply cannot fake your way through this job.
01:52:08.000 As I've said before, being president doesn't change who you are, it reveals who you are.
01:52:17.000 Well, A presidential election can reveal who we are, too.
01:52:23.000 And four years ago, too many people chose to believe that their votes didn't matter.
01:52:28.000 Maybe they were fed up.
01:52:30.000 Maybe they thought the outcome wouldn't be close.
01:52:33.000 Maybe the barriers felt too steep, whatever the reason.
01:52:37.000 In the end, those choices sent someone to the Oval Office who lost the national popular vote by nearly three million votes.
01:52:48.000 In one of the states that determined the outcome, the winning margin.
01:52:53.000 Averaged out to just two votes per precinct.
01:52:58.000 Two votes.
01:53:00.000 And we've all been living with the consequences.
01:53:03.000 When my husband left office with Joe Biden at his side, we had a record breaking stretch of job creation.
01:53:11.000 We'd secured the right to health care for 20 million people.
01:53:17.000 We were respected around the world, rallying our allies to confront climate change.
01:53:24.000 And our leaders had worked hand in hand with scientists to help prevent an Ebola outbreak.
01:53:30.000 From becoming a global pandemic.
01:53:33.000 That's just not even comparable.
01:53:34.000 Four years later, the state of this nation is very different.
01:53:41.000 More than 150,000 people have died, and our economy is in shambles because of a virus that this president downplayed for too long.
01:53:53.000 It has left millions of people jobless.
01:53:56.000 Too many have lost their health care.
01:53:58.000 Too many are struggling to take care of basic necessities like food and rent.
01:54:05.000 Too many communities have been left in the lurch to grapple with whether and how to open our schools safely.
01:54:15.000 Internationally, we've turned our back not just on agreements forged by my husband, but on alliances championed by presidents like Reagan and Eisenhower.
01:54:27.000 And here at home, as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and a never ending list of innocent people, imagine if you're walking through an alley and be murdered.
01:54:38.000 Floyd, Michael Brown, and Aaron Garner, all surrounding that.
01:54:42.000 Is still met with derision from the nation's highest office.
01:54:48.000 Because whenever we look to this White House for some leadership or consolation or any symbolism of steadiness, what we get instead is chaos, division.
01:55:00.000 They're probably a gang in hell.
01:55:00.000 They are.
01:55:02.000 They're all going to be a big black gang in hell forever.
01:55:07.000 Empathy.
01:55:07.000 Well, Michael Obama.
01:55:08.000 That's something I've been thinking a lot about lately.
01:55:12.000 Mike Brown and George Floyd, they're dapping it up in hell.
01:55:16.000 The recognition that someone else's experience has value too.
01:55:22.000 Most of us practice this without a second thought.
01:55:26.000 If we see someone suffering or struggling, we don't stand in judgment, we reach out because there, but for the grace of God, go I.
01:55:36.000 It is not a hard concept to grasp, it's what we teach our children.
01:55:42.000 And like so many of you, Barack and I have tried our best to instill in our girls a strong moral foundation to carry forward the values that our parents and grandparents poured into us.
01:55:56.000 But right now, kids in this country are seeing what happens when we stop requiring empathy of one another.
01:56:06.000 They're looking around wondering if we've been lying to them this whole time about who we are and what we truly value.
01:56:15.000 They see people shouting in grocery stores, unwilling to wear a mask to keep us all safe.
01:56:22.000 They see people calling the police.
01:56:24.000 She just called out the police.
01:56:26.000 I'm talking about the police.
01:56:27.000 I'm talking about the police.
01:56:30.000 They see an entitlement that says only certain people belong here, that greed is good and winning is everything, because as long as you come out on top, it doesn't matter what happens to everyone else.
01:56:45.000 And they see what happens when that lack of empathy. Is ginned up into outright disdain.
01:56:52.000 They see our leaders labeling fellow citizens enemies of the state while emboldening the white supremacists.
01:56:59.000 That's literally what you're doing to us.
01:57:02.000 They watch in horror as children are torn from their families and thrown into cages, and pepper spray and rubber bullets are used on peaceful protesters for a photo op.
01:57:16.000 Sadly, this is the America that is on display for the next generation.
01:57:21.000 A nation.
01:57:23.000 That's underperforming not simply on matters of policy, but on matters of character.
01:57:30.000 And that's not just disappointing, it's downright infuriating.
01:57:37.000 Because I know the goodness and the grace that is out there in households and neighborhoods all across this nation.
01:57:47.000 And I know that regardless of our race, age, religion, or politics, When we close out the noise and the fear and truly open our hearts, we know that what's going on in this country is just not right.
01:58:07.000 This is not who we want to be.
01:58:11.000 So, what do we do now?
01:58:13.000 What's our strategy?
01:58:15.000 Over the past four years, a lot of people have asked me when others are going so low, does going high still really work?
01:58:26.000 My answer?
01:58:28.000 Going high is the only thing that works.
01:58:32.000 Because when we go low, when we use those same tactics of degrading and dehumanizing others, we just become part of the ugly noise that's drowning out everything else.
01:58:45.000 We degrade ourselves.
01:58:46.000 We degrade the very causes for which we fight.
01:58:51.000 But let's be clear going high does not mean putting on a smile and saying nice things when confronted by viciousness and cruelty.
01:59:02.000 Going high means taking the harder path.
01:59:05.000 It means scraping and clawing our way to that mountaintop.
01:59:10.000 Going high means standing fierce against hatred while remembering that we are one nation under God.
01:59:19.000 And if we want to survive, we've got to find a way to live together and work together across our differences.
01:59:29.000 And going high means unlocking the shackles of lies and mistrust with the Only thing that can truly set us free, the cold hard truth.
01:59:42.000 So let me be as honest and clear as I possibly can.
01:59:47.000 Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country.
01:59:51.000 He has had more than enough time to prove that he can do the job, but he is clearly in over his head.
01:59:59.000 He cannot meet this moment.
02:00:01.000 He simply cannot be who we need him to be for us.
02:00:06.000 It is what it is.
02:00:09.000 Now, understand that my message won't be heard by some people.
02:00:14.000 We live in a nation that is deeply divided, and I am a black woman speaking at the Democratic Convention.
02:00:22.000 You're a black man.
02:00:23.000 But enough of you know me by now.
02:00:26.000 You know that I tell you exactly what I'm feeling.
02:00:30.000 You know I hate politics.
02:00:32.000 Yeah, Michelle gets real.
02:00:33.000 But you know that I care about this nation.
02:00:36.000 Bill Clinton.
02:00:37.000 You know how much I care about all of our children.
02:00:41.000 So, if you take one thing from my words tonight, it is this.
02:00:45.000 My girl.
02:00:46.000 If you think things cannot possibly get worse, trust me, they can and they will if we don't make a change in this election.
02:00:57.000 If we have any hope of ending this chaos, we have got to vote for Joe Biden like our lives depend on it.
02:01:07.000 I know Joe, he is a profoundly decent man, guided by faith.
02:01:14.000 He was a terrific vice president.
02:01:17.000 He knows what it takes to rescue an economy, beat back a pandemic, and lead our country.
02:01:24.000 And he listens.
02:01:26.000 He will tell the truth and trust science.
02:01:30.000 He will make smart plans and manage a good team.
02:01:34.000 And he will govern as someone who's lived a life that the rest of us can recognize.
02:01:41.000 When he was a kid, Joe's father lost his job.
02:01:45.000 When he was a young senator, Joe lost his wife and his baby daughter.
02:01:49.000 And when he was vice president, He lost his beloved son.
02:01:54.000 So, Joe knows the anguish of sitting at a table with an empty chair, which is why he gives his time so freely to grieving parents.
02:02:05.000 Joe knows what it's like to struggle, which is why he gives his personal phone number to kids overcoming a stutter of their own.
02:02:12.000 Excuse me.
02:02:13.000 His life is a testament to getting back up.
02:02:18.000 And he is going to channel that same grit and passion to pick us all up.
02:02:23.000 To help us heal and guide us forward.
02:02:28.000 Now, Joe is not perfect, and he'd be the first to tell you that.
02:02:33.000 But there is no perfect candidate, no perfect president.
02:02:38.000 And his ability to learn and grow, we find in that the kind of humility and maturity that so many of us yearn for right now.
02:02:50.000 Because Joe Biden has served this nation his entire life without ever losing sight.
02:02:58.000 Of who he is.
02:03:00.000 But more than that, he has never lost sight of who we are, all of us.
02:03:08.000 Joe Biden wants all of our kids to go to a good school, see a doctor when they're sick, live on a healthy planet.
02:03:16.000 And he's got plans to make all of that happen.
02:03:20.000 Joe Biden wants all of our kids, no matter what they look like, to be able to walk out the door without worrying about being harassed or arrested or killed.
02:03:30.000 Thanks, man.
02:03:31.000 He wants all.
02:03:32.000 Of our kids to be able to go to a movie or a math class without being afraid of getting shot.
02:03:38.000 Really?
02:03:39.000 He wants all our kids to grow up with leaders who won't just serve themselves and their wealthy peers, but will provide a safety net for people facing hard times.
02:03:52.000 And if we want a chance to pursue any of these goals, any of these most basic requirements for a functioning society, We have to vote for Joe Biden.
02:04:05.000 The newly authentic one is Trump.
02:04:07.000 He's the only one I believe is Trump.
02:04:08.000 Because right now, folks who know they cannot win fair and square at the ballot box are doing everything they can to stop us from voting.
02:04:16.000 Biden.
02:04:17.000 They're closing down polling places in minority neighborhoods.
02:04:21.000 They're purging voter rolls.
02:04:24.000 They're sending people out to intimidate voters and they're lying about the security of our ballots.
02:04:31.000 These tactics are not new.
02:04:35.000 But.
02:04:35.000 This is not the time to withhold our votes in protest or play games with candidates who have no chance of winning.
02:04:44.000 We have got to vote like we did in 2008 and 2012.
02:04:49.000 We've got to show up with the same level of passion and hope for Joe Biden.
02:04:56.000 We've got to vote early, in person if we can.
02:05:00.000 We've got to request our mail in ballots right now, tonight, and send them back immediately and follow up to make sure they're received and then make sure our friends and families do the same.
02:05:13.000 We have got to grab our comfortable shoes, put on our masks, pack a brown bag dinner and maybe breakfast too, because we've got to be willing to stand in line all night if we have to.
02:05:28.000 Look, we have already sacrificed so much this year.
02:05:33.000 So many of you are already going that extra mile.
02:05:38.000 Even when you're exhausted, you're mustering up unimaginable courage to put on those scrubs and give our loved ones a fighting chance.
02:05:48.000 Even when you're anxious, you're delivering those packages, stocking those shelves, and doing all that essential work so that all of us can keep moving forward.
02:05:59.000 Even when it all feels so overwhelming, working parents are somehow piecing it all together without childcare.
02:06:08.000 Teachers are getting creative so that our kids can still learn and grow.
02:06:13.000 Our young people are desperately fighting to pursue their dreams.
02:06:19.000 And when the horrors of systemic racism shook our country and our consciences, millions of Americans of every age, every background rose up to march for each other, crying out, All right, already, we got it.
02:06:36.000 This is who we still are.
02:06:40.000 Compassionate, resilient, resilient people whose fortunes are bound up with one another.
02:06:49.000 And it is well past time for our leaders to once again reflect our truth.
02:06:56.000 So it is up to us to add our voices and our votes to the course of history, echoing heroes like John Lewis, who said, When you see something that is not right, you must say something, you must do something.
02:07:18.000 That is the truest form of empathy.
02:07:23.000 Not just feeling, but doing.
02:07:26.000 Not just for ourselves or our kids, but for everyone.
02:07:32.000 For all our kids.
02:07:34.000 And if we want to keep the possibility of progress alive in our time, if we want to be able to look our children in the eye after this election, we have got to reassert our place in American history.
02:07:49.000 And we have got to do everything we can to elect my friend Joe Biden.
02:07:55.000 As the next President of the United States, thank you all.
02:08:00.000 God bless.
02:08:02.000 All right, sheesh.
02:08:07.000 Come on now.
02:08:23.000 Wow.
02:08:25.000 Wow.
02:08:26.000 Thank you, Michelle Obama.
02:08:30.000 You are what we miss in this country.
02:08:32.000 We need more of that example.
02:08:34.000 Thank you so much for being part of this unconventional convention.
02:08:39.000 Thanks to all of y'all who have been tuning in.
02:08:42.000 It's a convention about you and for you, the American people.
02:08:46.000 This is our chance to hear from those who will be leading us out of our nation out of the current crisis on the economy, the pandemic.
02:08:57.000 Racial injustice, to listen and to learn about Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' plans to bring about changes we all need.
02:09:06.000 This is our chance to unite across America.
02:09:10.000 In addition, we'll call the roll and we'll hear from the future First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden.
02:09:17.000 I want to thank you again for joining us.
02:09:19.000 Join us the rest of the week.
02:09:21.000 This is your convention, this is your campaign, and we the people are going to save this democracy.
02:09:28.000 In November.
02:09:29.000 Right now, Billy Porter and Stephen Stills are going to remind us what it's all worth.
02:09:35.000 Good night.
02:09:39.000 Oh, this fag, really?
02:09:48.000 Yeah, this is our new country.
02:09:49.000 Take a good look.
02:09:51.000 There's something happening here.
02:09:55.000 What it is ain't exactly clean.
02:10:00.000 There's a man with a gun over there.
02:10:05.000 Tell me, I got to beware.
02:10:10.000 Take a good long look.
02:10:11.000 Children, what's that set up?
02:10:14.000 Everybody, look what's going down.
02:10:27.000 Being drawn, nobody's right.
02:10:32.000 Everybody, okay.
02:10:34.000 I've had enough.
02:10:36.000 Young people speak in their minds, so much resistance.
02:10:43.000 I'm good for that.
02:10:45.000 I can't stop.
02:10:47.000 Children, what's that sound?
02:10:49.000 Everybody, look what's going down.
02:10:52.000 Let me just clear off this desk.
02:10:57.000 Well, I don't know.
02:11:01.000 I guess I'll be the same again.
02:11:04.000 Okay, that's great.
02:11:09.000 Here, wait one sec.
02:11:19.000 Okay, can you hear me?
02:11:21.000 Can everybody hear me?
02:11:23.000 I'm gonna switch from headset to the big microphone.
02:11:32.000 Let me know if you can hear me or not.
02:11:35.000 Test, test.
02:11:36.000 I think we're good.
02:11:36.000 Okay.
02:11:38.000 We should be good.
02:11:42.000 Okay.
02:11:48.000 Do that as well.
02:11:50.000 Okay.
02:11:52.000 All right, let's take a look at our super chats.
02:11:54.000 We'll see what you guys are saying.
02:12:00.000 Zoomer dev was hitting me up on the super chat app saying, Nick, we can see your Twitter.
02:12:08.000 Your DMs are visible.
02:12:11.000 I probably got like a dozen DMs like that.
02:12:15.000 Your DMs are visible.
02:12:19.000 But we're good.
02:12:20.000 Okay.
02:12:21.000 Okay, time to read our super chats.
02:12:24.000 That performance is so fitting with this fag and whatever pop art music video this is.
02:12:32.000 What the f?
02:12:37.000 That's so bad, man.
02:12:42.000 Okay, so let's read our super chats.
02:12:45.000 Let's see what we got.
02:12:46.000 That's your Democratic National Convention Day One.
02:12:52.000 That is day one of the convention.
02:12:55.000 So, we'll probably be watching it tomorrow and Wednesday and Thursday.
02:13:04.000 Just saying.
02:13:06.000 I haven't quite made up my mind 100%, but I think that's probably what we're going to do.
02:13:10.000 So, all right, let's take a look at our super chats.
02:13:13.000 We've got Racist Incels says, You've got to love Nick.
02:13:16.000 He says it like it is.
02:13:17.000 Yeah, very true.
02:13:19.000 Hater Time says, I've been looking through the America First archive.
02:13:26.000 There was a period in 2017 where you mentioned Thus Spoke Zarathustra five episodes in a row.
02:13:31.000 Autism confirmed.
02:13:33.000 What is your relationship to that book in 2020?
02:13:36.000 Is that true?
02:13:40.000 I'm trying to think of what context I would have even brought it up.
02:13:43.000 Because I read that book in 2016.
02:13:48.000 I read that book probably 2015, 2016.
02:13:51.000 So it's not like I just read it.
02:13:55.000 Okay, so tomorrow we have Joe Biden.
02:13:57.000 I might skip it tomorrow because Jill Biden's not that big.
02:14:00.000 I guess the big day is going to be Wednesday and Thursday.
02:14:04.000 Okay, anyway.
02:14:06.000 But I haven't read that book in a long time, so it's not really fresh in my memory.
02:14:12.000 I don't really think about it that much.
02:14:16.000 Jonah Broom says Hey, Nick, I've just discovered that this great girl I'm talking to online has simps messaging her and she isn't blocking them.
02:14:24.000 Meant to meet her in six months.
02:14:26.000 What the hell should I do?
02:14:27.000 Love the show.
02:14:30.000 Dude, do you watch the show?
02:14:32.000 You know, in the show, we say no e girls, no e girls, right?
02:14:38.000 I'm talking to this girl online, and weirdly, she's not blocking her simps.
02:14:43.000 Why do you think she's online?
02:14:44.000 And by the way, what do you think makes you different from them?
02:14:49.000 Oh, well, I'm in this serious internet relationship, but she's not blocking all these other guys talking to her on the internet.
02:14:58.000 They're probably talking to her as much or in the same way as you're talking to her.
02:15:02.000 And by the way, she's online.
02:15:04.000 So she could get attention from many guys in that way.
02:15:09.000 Many guys talking to her.
02:15:12.000 So cut that loose.
02:15:14.000 I'm going to meet my e girlfriend in six months.
02:15:17.000 That's ridiculous.
02:15:18.000 That's absurd.
02:15:19.000 I mean, just the science of pair bonding alone suggests that that's a bad idea.
02:15:25.000 But, you know, the idea you're going to talk to some girl six months and then meet her, and in the meantime, what?
02:15:32.000 You know, she's fielding DMs from simps?
02:15:34.000 That's ridiculous.
02:15:36.000 Talk to a real girl.
02:15:37.000 Talk to a girl that's not an e girl.
02:15:40.000 Okay, Peanut Arbuckle says Do you think Pat O'Brien has a good chance of beating Fox in the Cook County State's attorney race?
02:15:47.000 I have no idea.
02:15:49.000 I haven't been following that race.
02:15:51.000 Afghan Groyper says, Don't try to red pill normies, fellas.
02:15:55.000 My Muslim friends call me Uncle Tom in bootlicker for wanting America to be 90% white.
02:16:01.000 They just don't see the benefits of white Sharia.
02:16:03.000 Kidding!
02:16:04.000 Unless.
02:16:07.000 Yeah, I have told people all the time don't try to red pill your friends.
02:16:13.000 It doesn't work.
02:16:14.000 And honestly, that's not even the worst thing that can happen.
02:16:17.000 I mean, if your friends give you a little bit of light banter.
02:16:22.000 You're lucky if that's the worst of it.
02:16:24.000 Sometimes your friends don't talk to you, your family doesn't talk to you.
02:16:28.000 You might have trouble finding a job, or maybe you have trouble at your job.
02:16:33.000 You might have trouble at school or with your teachers or professors.
02:16:38.000 So I just generally don't recommend it.
02:16:40.000 There's a very low cost benefit ratio.
02:16:46.000 You know, best case scenario, what happens?
02:16:48.000 Like somebody might change their mind, worst case scenario, life ruined.
02:16:54.000 Jonah says, here's an extra chat for your birthday tomorrow.
02:16:56.000 Looks like your advice is going to be right once again.
02:17:00.000 Girls online are nothing but trouble.
02:17:01.000 Black Pilt.
02:17:02.000 Have a great birthday.
02:17:03.000 You deserve it.
02:17:04.000 Hey, well, thank you.
02:17:05.000 Yes, tomorrow's my birthday.
02:17:07.000 I'll be turning 22.
02:17:10.000 So, what did you get me for my birthday, everybody?
02:17:13.000 I expect birthday presents.
02:17:15.000 I expect cake.
02:17:17.000 I expect, I want a nice birthday.
02:17:20.000 I don't want a sad birthday.
02:17:21.000 Are you going to come to my birthday party, Anon?
02:17:26.000 But hey, thanks.
02:17:26.000 Yeah, e girls, nothing but trouble.
02:17:29.000 When are people going to learn this?
02:17:30.000 Afghan Groyper says, What if your sister didn't give you a birthday present last year because she was testing if you got her a present just like you tested her?
02:17:41.000 No, I don't think that's true.
02:17:42.000 I think she just didn't give me one.
02:17:43.000 I was going to give her a birthday present.
02:17:45.000 I bought a card and everything, and then she didn't get me anything.
02:17:49.000 So I said, You know what?
02:17:50.000 I'm not giving her the card.
02:17:52.000 I'm not putting anything in the envelope.
02:17:53.000 Forget about it.
02:17:55.000 I'll probably get her something this year.
02:17:57.000 I still have the same card on my dresser.
02:18:02.000 And it says, like, to a gamer or something like that.
02:18:04.000 But I've had it on the dresser for a year.
02:18:07.000 Because I was thinking, maybe I'll give this to somebody else for their birthday, this card, because it's a funny card, in my opinion.
02:18:16.000 But it's been a year.
02:18:17.000 So I haven't been to a birthday party since last year.
02:18:21.000 Nice.
02:18:24.000 Jonah Broom says, Me and my dad used to think you were a Nazi.
02:18:27.000 And now we watch this and American Renaissance together.
02:18:30.000 Thanks for all your hard work, King.
02:18:32.000 Never failed to make me laugh.
02:18:33.000 Have a great birthday.
02:18:34.000 Well, hey, thanks so much.
02:18:35.000 That's a nice story.
02:18:36.000 That's an inspirational story.
02:18:38.000 Sounds like you guys were cringed, but you became based.
02:18:42.000 Many such cases.
02:18:44.000 So good to hear it.
02:18:45.000 Glad you liked the show.
02:18:45.000 But thanks.
02:18:47.000 Livewire says this is a reminder to all super chatters that cringe chats can actually hurt the growth of the movement.
02:18:53.000 Happy birthday for tomorrow and God bless America first.
02:18:56.000 P.S. I'm floored at how impossibly boring Gen Z GOP is.
02:19:01.000 We're lucky to have your charisma.
02:19:03.000 That is so true.
02:19:04.000 Well, thanks, buddy.
02:19:07.000 Thanks for the birthday wishes.
02:19:08.000 And yeah, reminder to super chatters can we keep it, you know, based in red pilled?
02:19:13.000 Johnny Bravo with a big super chat says it's already the 18th here, so happy birthday, big guy.
02:19:18.000 I emailed a while back with some merch designs.
02:19:21.000 We'll send another video or another RE video editing clipping, but for now, take a break, take a sip, have a blessed day.
02:19:30.000 P.S. Can you believe this chat could buy me 10 months worth of a subscription to NicholasJ.Fuentas.com?
02:19:36.000 Now that's a birthday miracle.
02:19:38.000 Love you.
02:19:38.000 Hey, well, thanks, buddy.
02:19:39.000 Love you too.
02:19:41.000 Much appreciated.
02:19:42.000 I'll be on the lookout for that email, but In the meantime, I'll be chilling for my birthday, at least tomorrow.
02:19:49.000 Polish American Groyper says, One day till the big day, big guy.
02:19:53.000 I can confidently say that AF has touched the lives of thousands of Zoomers.
02:19:58.000 This is in contrast with Turning Point USA and Patrizzo, which have just simply touched thousands of Zoomers.
02:20:07.000 That's pretty funny.
02:20:10.000 Yeah, Benny Johnson and Zach Patrizzo and Jared Holt.
02:20:14.000 Yeah, they are just directly touching.
02:20:17.000 In a non consensual way.
02:20:18.000 Thousands of Zoomers, right.
02:20:20.000 Well, thanks.
02:20:21.000 Bob Sacamountis says the periodic worshipping of the media's anti Trump totem of the month by normies is so fucking gay.
02:20:29.000 First it's Flynn, then Mueller, then Ukraine, then the Postal Service.
02:20:32.000 Please shut up.
02:20:33.000 I know, it's like every other week.
02:20:35.000 Well, I'm wearing my mask, and that's, you know, because if you don't wear a mask, that's a threat to democracy.
02:20:43.000 And these people are just, they're like robots.
02:20:46.000 They're like just, it's slavery incorporated, and these people.
02:20:51.000 Are the hall monitors.
02:20:52.000 Whatever Jake Tapper says or Anderson Cooper or whatever, put on a mask!
02:20:58.000 Okay.
02:21:00.000 And then the Facebook tirade and IRL behavior, and then suddenly, if you're not going to defend the post office to the death, you're like an authoritarian fascist.
02:21:12.000 But it just goes to show.
02:21:13.000 I mean, that's why democracy is stupid and doesn't work because these people are, they don't have agency, they don't have the ability to govern themselves.
02:21:22.000 Bob, I just read that.
02:21:24.000 Big Rams says, The more I see from the media, the more it looks like they're laying the groundwork for a domestic color revolution if Trump wins.
02:21:32.000 They're going, I love when people say color revolution.
02:21:34.000 Color revolution, it makes you sound smarter.
02:21:37.000 No, it's not going to be a revolution.
02:21:41.000 It's going to be a color revolution because it's a color revolution.
02:21:46.000 And that's like those revolutions that they have in Eastern Europe.
02:21:50.000 And I know that because I am smart.
02:21:53.000 And I'm smart and I know about the CIA and color revolutions.
02:21:57.000 You know, like the color revolutions?
02:22:00.000 They're setting up for a color revolution.
02:22:02.000 It's not going to be like a normal revolution.
02:22:04.000 No, sirree.
02:22:05.000 This is going to be a revolution of the color variety.
02:22:09.000 It's going to be a color revolution.
02:22:13.000 I love whenever there's like a vocab word like that.
02:22:17.000 Whenever there's a vocab word and that's all people, then people just.
02:22:21.000 Do you notice?
02:22:22.000 Then it just tends to sort of.
02:22:24.000 Become more and more prominent, then you just find other people just saying it because they hear it and they think color red.
02:22:31.000 They're going to say he rigged the election with the post office and then keep the protest going until he gets ousted.
02:22:36.000 Yeah, I'd certainly agree.
02:22:38.000 I see what you mean, but it's just funny when I see that color revolution.
02:22:42.000 Color revolution.
02:22:44.000 There's going to be a color revolution.
02:22:48.000 It's like all these other astroturf, flatten the curve, all these totally fake astroturf phrases.
02:22:55.000 Anyway, below Skeeter says, Was Karl Marx anti Semitic?
02:22:58.000 Yeah, I think so.
02:22:59.000 I think he was, but he was also Jewish.
02:23:02.000 Jordan B says, Hey man, hope you had a good weekend.
02:23:04.000 Have you seen the pics of all these kids doing remote learning with the start of the school year?
02:23:08.000 Hate overusing the word, but it feels so dystopian seeing these kids bored in front of laptops.
02:23:14.000 No kids to play with, anxious, mothers buying into fear porn.
02:23:18.000 I haven't seen the pictures, but yeah, it is depressing.
02:23:22.000 It was depressing before that for kids.
02:23:25.000 It was depressing before that when kids would just be in their bedrooms all day on social media.
02:23:30.000 Like, that was me when I was in high school for a lot of the time.
02:23:37.000 And I'm sure that's what it is for most people.
02:23:40.000 You know, you're in school and then you come home and it's very depressing.
02:23:43.000 It's very dark.
02:23:45.000 And then kids go in their rooms and they're on TikTok or they're on Twitter, Instagram all day and talking about their neuroses with their friends in group chats and group me's.
02:23:56.000 And I'm anxious.
02:23:57.000 I have anxiety.
02:23:59.000 I'm depressed.
02:24:00.000 I'm whatever.
02:24:01.000 And that was before.
02:24:02.000 That was when they still were going to school for six hours a day.
02:24:05.000 And then they'd come home and bitch and moan about, oh, you know, I'm anxious.
02:24:10.000 Could you imagine what it's like now?
02:24:13.000 They practically don't leave their bed.
02:24:14.000 They wake up in their pajamas.
02:24:16.000 They go on their laptop with the lights off and then they're in the room all day.
02:24:23.000 That's not healthy.
02:24:25.000 That's very sick.
02:24:26.000 And it's not just that they're not leaving.
02:24:28.000 It'd be one thing if they weren't leaving the house and maybe it's like you're with your family or you're reading a book or whatever.
02:24:35.000 But it's like, you know, in a dark room with just like the glow of the screen and that's your entire life.
02:24:44.000 That's going to produce a really bad.
02:24:46.000 A really, really sick generation.
02:24:50.000 We thought Generation Z was messed up in the head because of the proliferation of social media and smartphones, but now we've got Generation Alpha that doesn't leave the house, right?
02:25:01.000 That they've got all of that, but on top of it, now they've got social distancing.
02:25:05.000 I mean, we were already atomized before that, and now it's become an impossibility to have any kind of social fabric.
02:25:13.000 I mean, even forget even a fabric, even a strand, you know?
02:25:18.000 A thread.
02:25:20.000 So it's horrible.
02:25:21.000 It's very heartbreaking to think about.
02:25:24.000 That's amazing.
02:25:25.000 Says, no one going to say anything about the cake, though?
02:25:27.000 Looking great, King.
02:25:28.000 What cake?
02:25:29.000 Were you talking about my ass?
02:25:31.000 What are you talking about?
02:25:32.000 Our birthday cake?
02:25:35.000 Jordan B says, meanwhile, China's having literal pool parties in Wuhan.
02:25:38.000 Just a reminder that we aren't a serious country and it nails home that tweet that Darren Beatty keeps saying.
02:25:43.000 Would the Chinese allow this?
02:25:45.000 I love that he keeps saying that because it's so true.
02:25:48.000 It's so true.
02:25:50.000 You know, we as Americans take it for granted that this is the exceptional number one country, but clearly it isn't.
02:25:58.000 Clearly, what is permitted in this country, the incompetence, the dysfunction every day, and that is at every level and across the entire country, it just isn't present in other societies.
02:26:14.000 In China, in Japan, in South Korea, we're diminished.
02:26:20.000 You know, that's what that's getting at.
02:26:21.000 For all the people that talk about comparing China to America, well, China doesn't have our freedom or China doesn't have our whatever.
02:26:29.000 It's totally smashing this idea that the only workable model or even a workable model is liberal capitalist democracy.
02:26:39.000 Because that was what a lot of people took away from the Cold War communism is defeated and the only way to go is liberalism and specifically liberal capitalist democracy.
02:26:54.000 And that's just not the case because we're seeing in China, they're clearly not liberal, they're not democratic, they're not capitalist, and they've got a country that is, you know, and there are, of course, problems in China, don't get me wrong.
02:27:09.000 But in spite of those problems, they're becoming a wealthy nation, and more than that, the fundamentals are there in terms of education and in terms of tradition and order and orderliness in general, compared to the, you know, just the leniency that we have for.
02:27:26.000 All kinds of bad behaviors in this country.
02:27:29.000 So it's so true.
02:27:31.000 Groyper first says, Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
02:27:37.000 God bless you, King.
02:27:38.000 Thanks for carrying us on your back.
02:27:39.000 Well, thanks, buddy.
02:27:41.000 L. Ronce is the neo fascist, esoteric, strazerist, 16 year old that spends his days debating transsexual anarchists on Discord.
02:27:49.000 Just called you gay on Twitter.
02:27:50.000 Will you fall into his trap and block him?
02:27:53.000 Oh, it's a very tough decision.
02:27:56.000 Elected Groyper says, Chad Bush, 41, had a Willie Horton ad.
02:28:00.000 Has Trump.
02:28:01.000 Even said the name Cannon Hinnant?
02:28:03.000 If not, how would you advise he handle it and what would you enact as Cannon's law?
02:28:10.000 Yeah, I think he should address it.
02:28:12.000 I think that he should name Cannon Hinnant.
02:28:15.000 I think it would be ideal to talk about it at the convention and maybe even make campaign ads about it, about Cannon Hinnant and all these other victims.
02:28:25.000 I mean, and they understand this perfectly well when it's a non white victim, when it's a black cop that gets killed in relation to BLM or.
02:28:34.000 It's a black or Hispanic kid that gets killed in relation to BLM, like that Legend kid.
02:28:39.000 Do you remember Operation Legend was when they deployed DHS to all those cities?
02:28:44.000 It was named after, I think, some black kid whose name was Legend who died in relation to crime or riots or something.
02:28:52.000 So they should do that, but with Cannon Hinnance, with somebody that looks like the demographics of the GOP.
02:28:59.000 And what would Cannon's Law be?
02:29:01.000 I mean, you know, Cannon Hinnance, he got shot in the head.
02:29:05.000 Getting shot in the head.
02:29:06.000 Like, that's already illegal, you know?
02:29:08.000 So, I don't know exactly what kind of lie you could pass to make sure that doesn't happen.
02:29:13.000 Yamato says, monarchy, theocracy, or czardom?
02:29:19.000 I don't know.
02:29:19.000 I don't, you know, I don't like to think that way.
02:29:22.000 Elrond says, hey, you shouldn't make fun of that e girl.
02:29:24.000 It's not very 14 of you.
02:29:26.000 Yeah, did you see that on Twitter?
02:29:27.000 There was some guy who said, this girl just got bullied out of my group chat because she didn't have kids.
02:29:35.000 And if we're going to be a successful dissident movement, You know, we can't, we have to get rid of this women problem.
02:29:41.000 And by woman problem, he didn't mean women in the movement, he meant women being mistreated in the movement.
02:29:45.000 He said, This movement is 85 to 90% men, and that's sad.
02:29:50.000 It is sad because it should be 100% men, not 85 to 90% men.
02:29:56.000 And then I quote tweeted it and I said, You know, imagine having women in your group chat.
02:30:00.000 Could you imagine you go into your group chat and the group chat is a sacred place?
02:30:06.000 It's supposed to be a safe place where there's banter or there's beef, conflict resolution.
02:30:12.000 Share tweets.
02:30:14.000 Like I said, it's banter.
02:30:17.000 And more than that, additionally, because it's a male space, you're also talking about girls or other things.
02:30:24.000 And what women introduce into that is sensitivity, distrust, competition, all kinds of problems.
02:30:31.000 You know, in a male only space, for some people, they say, oh, well, why not have a woman in the group chat?
02:30:37.000 Or that's gay if you don't have women in the group chat.
02:30:40.000 You can talk to women, you could talk to women online, you could talk to women IRL, you know, do whatever you want.
02:30:45.000 But the point of the group chat is like the fellas hanging out.
02:30:48.000 It's like guys hanging out at a bar or at a card game or something like that, and the same dynamics are at work.
02:30:57.000 That's a place where you cannot be sensitive.
02:31:00.000 It's a place where you can give each other banter, where there's conflict resolution, like I said, where it's real, where it's guys just being guys.
02:31:08.000 You introduce women in there, and all of a sudden you've got guys trying to impress girls and guys that are just going to act the same no matter what.
02:31:15.000 You've got maybe there's a thing, it's complicated with.
02:31:20.000 Some of the guys and the girl.
02:31:22.000 And of course, the girls can never take the banter and are much more sensitive.
02:31:26.000 So I said, you know, imagine having a woman in the group chat.
02:31:29.000 It defeats the purpose of the group chat, of the camaraderie, you know?
02:31:33.000 And more than that, it compromises your privacy, your security.
02:31:37.000 I would never trust an e girl with any kind of texting online.
02:31:41.000 Could you imagine?
02:31:44.000 You have to assume that anything you send to a woman on the internet in writing is going to end up on the front page of the newspaper.
02:31:53.000 And I know people say that about the internet in general, but it is especially true with women.
02:31:57.000 You can guarantee that if you reveal your identity, any kind of private or secret information, she's going to spill the beans.
02:32:06.000 It's going to wind up on the timeline.
02:32:07.000 It will certainly wind up in the girls' group chat or in the bulls' DMs or whatever, but it's definitely not private.
02:32:15.000 Especially if you're in dissident politics, that kind of matters if you disclose your identity or something like that.
02:32:22.000 There was a Wignat Twitter account, I think, called Racial Consciousness.
02:32:27.000 And the guy's a total cringe lord.
02:32:30.000 And we've had each other blocked for a long time.
02:32:33.000 But it came around through the grapevine that he was having this very humiliating and embarrassing public drama because one of his ex internet girlfriends was like going to leak his identity and was causing all this trouble.
02:32:50.000 And it's just time and again how many times do we have to learn this lesson?
02:32:53.000 How many times do I have to teach you this lesson?
02:32:58.000 It just never pays, it's never worth it.
02:33:02.000 Every single time on the internet, whether you reveal your identity or you don't, whatever you say in a group chat or in DMs, it's just never worth it.
02:33:10.000 And the guy says, Well, you know, we're not going to win the country if we alienate half the population.
02:33:17.000 It's like, you think 100% of the population is involved in the inner circle of politics?
02:33:23.000 No.
02:33:24.000 And for the same reason, you're not alienating all women on planet Earth by saying they cannot be in the inner circle of politics or at least the group chat.
02:33:33.000 We gotta get it together, man.
02:33:34.000 We can't keep making the same mistakes.
02:33:37.000 How many times do you have to see this unfold this way?
02:33:40.000 Where the woman actually isn't a woman, or the woman is a fed, or the woman becomes a leftist, or the woman gets cold feet and then talks to CNN, or the woman just doxes you, or, you know, I mean, you go down the list, it's all happened.
02:33:57.000 Every single time something like that happens, and every different way that it can happen has happened multiple times.
02:34:04.000 And I've seen it over the years.
02:34:06.000 And everybody's seen it.
02:34:09.000 How many different women have we talked about just these past few weeks?
02:34:13.000 Jordan Peterson's daughter, Tommy Lahren, Mira Corrigan, Lauren Southern, even Millie Weaver.
02:34:18.000 Millie Weaver, just the other day, she posts this super dramatic stream of her getting arrested.
02:34:24.000 What am I being arrested for?
02:34:25.000 What am I being arrested for?
02:34:27.000 And she does a GoFundMe, and they raise $150,000, it's more than that now, for a defense attorney.
02:34:35.000 And it turns out they released the details of the case.
02:34:40.000 She gets arrested because she gets in some kind of domestic dispute, like an argument with her mom.
02:34:46.000 So she gets in an argument with her mom.
02:34:48.000 The police are called.
02:34:50.000 Oh, so and so took my phone.
02:34:51.000 We're arguing.
02:34:53.000 Police come, and Millie Weaver's like, oh, no, no.
02:34:57.000 It's okay.
02:34:57.000 It's resolved.
02:34:58.000 And, you know, they take her in anyway because the call was made.
02:35:02.000 What am I being arrested for?
02:35:04.000 This is independent journalism under attack.
02:35:06.000 I'm right wing.
02:35:07.000 I'm a dissident.
02:35:07.000 Please help me.
02:35:09.000 They raise $100,000 and some $170,000 with Ezra Levance, notorious Jewish scammer.
02:35:16.000 And then the details come out.
02:35:18.000 Wow, lo and behold, she was lying the whole time.
02:35:20.000 She knew exactly what it was about, and it was something ridiculous.
02:35:24.000 And she just took advantage of you.
02:35:25.000 Actually, she allowed some Jewish Zionist handler to take advantage of you because you were mesmerized by her boobs.
02:35:34.000 I've never heard of that happening before.
02:35:38.000 So I can't, I can't, you know, but that's just how it goes.
02:35:43.000 It's all very tiresome, but there will always be e girls, and there will always be simps.
02:35:49.000 Just can't be one of them.
02:35:51.000 And not in my inner circle.
02:35:52.000 I won't allow it.
02:35:53.000 You can ask anybody in there.
02:35:56.000 We're just not going to have that.
02:35:57.000 We can't do it.
02:35:59.000 It would be one thing if I was just some asshole, like a salesman or whatever.
02:36:06.000 But this is a political movement.
02:36:10.000 This would be a giant LARP if I was just some guy.
02:36:14.000 No girls in our group chat.
02:36:16.000 If we were all sports fans or something.
02:36:19.000 Or if we were playing Dungeons and Dragons.
02:36:21.000 But that's not what this is.
02:36:23.000 This is a political movement.
02:36:24.000 So when you bring people in and then you bring women in it and they're this giant liability, it's like you're putting everybody you know in harm's way, in jeopardy, and serious harm and high stakes.
02:36:37.000 High stakes not just for yourself, but for the life of our cause and our political objectives.
02:36:43.000 So you just can't have it.
02:36:44.000 You can't be anywhere near that.
02:36:46.000 Can't have it.
02:36:49.000 But some people think there's exceptions.
02:36:50.000 Some people think, oh, she's not like the others.
02:36:53.000 Millie Weaver's not like the others.
02:36:55.000 Mira Corgan's not like the others.
02:36:57.000 Lauren Southern's not like the others.
02:36:59.000 Tommy Laren's not like the others.
02:37:01.000 Tara McCarthy is not like the others.
02:37:04.000 Michaela Peterson is not like the others.
02:37:08.000 That girl who was in Identity Europa, she was not like the others until they become.
02:37:14.000 They are!
02:37:15.000 They always are!
02:37:16.000 They just trick you.
02:37:19.000 People let themselves be tricked because.
02:37:23.000 You know, they don't have self control.
02:37:27.000 It's very disappointing.
02:37:27.000 It's no good.
02:37:29.000 Very disappointing.
02:37:30.000 But not surprising.
02:37:32.000 Okay, anyway, so yeah, we had to address that.
02:37:34.000 We had to address both the tweet and the Millie Weaver situation.
02:37:39.000 You're alienating.
02:37:40.000 This movement has a woman problem.
02:37:42.000 We need to treat our women with respect.
02:37:44.000 It's like the problem is not feminism as an ideology, the problem is not left wing women, the problem is not women that are whores, the problem is equality.
02:37:55.000 The problem is.
02:37:56.000 Is equality.
02:37:58.000 Whether the women are left, right, up, down, it doesn't matter.
02:38:02.000 They don't belong in politics for the most part in certain aspects.
02:38:10.000 And that doesn't change.
02:38:11.000 It's the fundamental nature of women.
02:38:13.000 Women are not leaders like men, women are not political like men, women are not impartial like men, women do not have a justice based ethics like men.
02:38:25.000 They're not men, they're different.
02:38:27.000 The differences are significant.
02:38:29.000 Those significant differences have consequences.
02:38:32.000 Part of those consequences is that politics, for the most part, has to be a male only space.
02:38:37.000 At least when you're talking about an insurgent, dissident political movement.
02:38:41.000 You just.
02:38:42.000 or any workplace for that matter.
02:38:44.000 But anyway, so.
02:38:48.000 But we're still beating that.
02:38:50.000 You would think it's a dead horse, but it's very clearly alive.
02:38:53.000 The horse is alive and well.
02:38:56.000 Izzy says AF may live to see another four more years.
02:38:59.000 How are you feeling about the 2020 election?
02:39:02.000 I'm feeling better about it.
02:39:04.000 That CNN poll came out over the weekend and it put Biden only four points ahead of Trump, which that might sound like a lot, but that was a similar margin to where Trump was when he won in 2016.
02:39:16.000 And.
02:39:17.000 That's a 10 point improvement from where he was last month.
02:39:20.000 So it's looking good.
02:39:22.000 Rebel C says 21, bought a house, got engaged on becoming Catholic, was an atheist before watching your show.
02:39:28.000 Thank you.
02:39:28.000 Well, hey, congratulations.
02:39:30.000 That's great to hear.
02:39:32.000 Anti Shallet Society says we have evidence that Shallet is faking his handicap and isn't actually retarded.
02:39:39.000 Yeah, I suspected that he was faking his disability when I first met him.
02:39:44.000 I've seen him walk.
02:39:45.000 He walks with or without the cane.
02:39:47.000 So.
02:39:49.000 Walk says, hey big guy, first time super chatter.
02:39:52.000 GF and I are watching the show tonight.
02:39:54.000 Shout out Boston Groypers.
02:39:56.000 Hey, sounds like a nice date.
02:39:58.000 Date night, we're going to watch America First.
02:40:02.000 Have a little, what do you have in Boston?
02:40:04.000 Have a little clam chowder, clam chowder dinner.
02:40:09.000 Go eat a tasty burger or T. Anthony's or whatever.
02:40:13.000 Union Oyster House, whatever.
02:40:18.000 Me and the GF, hey, want to come over and watch America First later?
02:40:22.000 I'd love to.
02:40:24.000 Sounds like a great.
02:40:25.000 The only.
02:40:26.000 The great problem with me is I can never take a girl to watch America First.
02:40:31.000 I can never have a girl over and watch America First with her on the couch.
02:40:35.000 Because I'm doing this.
02:40:37.000 Because I'm doing the show.
02:40:39.000 You know?
02:40:40.000 I would have to be doing the show.
02:40:42.000 You know, I guess she'd be watching on the couch.
02:40:43.000 I wouldn't allow that.
02:40:45.000 I wouldn't allow that distraction.
02:40:47.000 Maybe my future GF is watching the show right now.
02:40:50.000 Wouldn't that be a trip?
02:40:51.000 And in a way, we're both participating in the show unbeknownst.
02:40:55.000 Unbeknownst to us.
02:40:57.000 Something to think about.
02:40:59.000 No, probably, yeah.
02:41:00.000 Well, anyway, whatever.
02:41:01.000 I was going to say something, but never mind.
02:41:04.000 I'm not going to say that.
02:41:05.000 Yamato says to be left wing is to believe that humans are inherently good and that civilization oppresses them, while being right wing means to believe that humans are inherently barbaric and civilization forces them to behave.
02:41:18.000 Given the archaeological evidence we have, it's clear which view is correct.
02:41:22.000 Yeah, there's a lot of truth in that.
02:41:24.000 That's, well, you know, a great example of this is poverty.
02:41:30.000 Liberals really believe that poverty has been inflicted on the world, inflicted on the world by institutions or by people, and that poverty is not obviously the natural condition of the human race, and probably the natural condition of most people.
02:41:50.000 I mean, if you didn't teach a baby how to do anything, they probably wouldn't be very productive in a sophisticated, complex society.
02:41:57.000 But they view that, and a myriad You know, other problems as inflicted, whether it be criminality.
02:42:05.000 When criminals commit crime, well, they are the victims of institutional harm and so on.
02:42:14.000 So, yeah, that's true.
02:42:16.000 And we believe that, obviously, the opposite, which is true.
02:42:20.000 People are evil and sick and inclined towards sin and inclined towards cruelty.
02:42:29.000 And it is civilization, it is the state, it is.
02:42:34.000 It is us, the society that is going to bring them to heal.
02:42:39.000 So I agree.
02:42:42.000 Illyrian Groyper says, One of my family members paid some psychic rabbi for reading into the future without my knowledge.
02:42:49.000 Probably placed some ancient Talmudic curse on me for being a goy.
02:42:53.000 Yeah, probably.
02:42:54.000 Nick Calling says, 100% right last week about my intentions to sample your answer.
02:43:00.000 I promise I won't in the future.
02:43:01.000 Happy birthday.
02:43:03.000 Yeah, I knew you were trying to do that, but that video was pretty funny.
02:43:07.000 I was watching it and I was laughing hysterically at the Nick Calling.
02:43:12.000 The pharmacy.
02:43:13.000 And what is funny is because the sound bites didn't make any sense.
02:43:19.000 They didn't make any sense.
02:43:21.000 You know?
02:43:22.000 Which I guess that's the joke, but I was dying.
02:43:28.000 So you did a good job.
02:43:29.000 It was a good video.
02:43:31.000 Heteroslonky Wolves says these people are incredibly dysgenic.
02:43:35.000 Yeah, I'm sure that was intentional.
02:43:38.000 What if instead of having good looking people, we had ugly people to represent the whole population?
02:43:42.000 We'll get fatties, bald people, people with.
02:43:46.000 You know, bad complexion, and we'll get people with bad facial hair and just ugly people.
02:43:52.000 Yeah, that's great.
02:43:52.000 I like looking at that.
02:43:55.000 Contemporary Fonzie says they worship Satan.
02:43:57.000 Yeah, they do.
02:43:58.000 No joke.
02:43:59.000 It's not even, it's literally true.
02:44:02.000 Unreality says, Nick, I'm watching Scott talk.
02:44:05.000 He's so boring.
02:44:06.000 He has no idea what he's saying, just rambling.
02:44:09.000 How is this the first thing they're doing for the DNC?
02:44:11.000 Shouldn't they start with some kind of hook?
02:44:13.000 Well, that video is the hook, you know, that opening video.
02:44:17.000 Rick says, making kids gay, making gays into castrated monsters.
02:44:23.000 Yes, we can.
02:44:25.000 Okay.
02:44:27.000 I guess that's what the Democrats are doing.
02:44:29.000 True.
02:44:31.000 America says, why does everyone on here have such terrible physiognomy?
02:44:34.000 Also, gay Bowser check.
02:44:36.000 What's gay Bowser?
02:44:38.000 Unreality says, an ongoing systemic racial injustice.
02:44:41.000 Does that mean she's about to discuss the Yale admission situation?
02:44:45.000 Yeah.
02:44:45.000 Well, and.
02:44:47.000 In as much as people talk about these systemic inequalities, you often find that there's nothing systemic about it.
02:44:55.000 It's almost like they don't even know what the word means.
02:44:58.000 Systemic means system wide, it means that it is inside of these institutional rules to discriminate or to be prejudiced, right?
02:45:11.000 But that cannot be found anywhere.
02:45:12.000 If anything, it's the opposite.
02:45:14.000 All of these system wide practices, policies, rules, Are equal, and if they're not, it's to the benefit.
02:45:24.000 It is at the expense of whites and to the benefit of non whites.
02:45:27.000 Affirmative action is just one example, but there are many government programs that are the same way redistribution programs, welfare programs, you name it.
02:45:37.000 So, but yeah, we've talked about this at length.
02:45:41.000 Speczo says the amount of self hatred needed for a white person to watch this and still support Dems is insane.
02:45:47.000 I can't imagine.
02:45:48.000 I can't imagine being a white.
02:45:50.000 Adolescent male, or any kind of a white male, and watching this and being like, I'm going to be a good white slave for the Negro overlords.
02:46:00.000 I'm going to be the perfect white livestock for our new Black Lives Matter ruling class.
02:46:09.000 It's disgusting.
02:46:11.000 Enemy, you have to, as a man, have to have that tribal instinct.
02:46:18.000 It's not necessarily racism, but a consciousness of your tribe and your kin.
02:46:24.000 That there's obviously antagonism between different tribes.
02:46:27.000 Like, how do you not, how is that not awakened in you?
02:46:29.000 Wake up, white man.
02:46:31.000 I need to grab the white man by his necktie.
02:46:35.000 Hick, listen up.
02:46:37.000 Listen up.
02:46:39.000 It's time to become who you are, white man.
02:46:45.000 It's true.
02:46:46.000 True.
02:46:48.000 EnemyAC 130 says the tapestry of diverse and ugly people all united is so fucking stupid.
02:46:54.000 I know so many people who watch that and feel so superior about themselves.
02:46:58.000 I really hope I get to see them all cry again in a few months.
02:47:02.000 If Trump wins again, it's going to be epic, you know?
02:47:05.000 It was awesome the first time, and it'll be so defeating.
02:47:10.000 For the other side, obviously.
02:47:12.000 But what a defeat that would be.
02:47:14.000 Even after all of the, they've activated their side, they have pulled out all the stops, global pandemic, recession, you name it.
02:47:24.000 And they still lose after blowing up the country.
02:47:26.000 I mean, it'll probably be a rough transition.
02:47:29.000 And who knows if we'll even make it out on the other side, but it'll be funny.
02:47:34.000 Cheese says, Hey, Nate just wanted to give some money before I head off to start college in a week.
02:47:40.000 Can't wait to fund the movement with my Ivy engineering degree.
02:47:43.000 Oh, yeah, nice flex there.
02:47:45.000 Half these DNC people can barely speak, and I can't wait to see them lose in the long run.
02:47:50.000 Keep up the work and have a fun birthday.
02:47:52.000 Well, hey, thanks so much, man.
02:47:53.000 Good luck in college.
02:47:55.000 Hope it goes well for you.
02:47:57.000 And yeah, that's the hope, right?
02:47:58.000 All these Zoomers go to college.
02:48:01.000 Some of them become millionaires.
02:48:03.000 Some of them become maybe billionaires.
02:48:04.000 Who knows?
02:48:05.000 And then they fund the movement.
02:48:07.000 And then we're really cooking with gas.
02:48:10.000 So I appreciate that.
02:48:11.000 But good luck.
02:48:13.000 Idaho King says, This is just awful to watch.
02:48:15.000 Despite all of his shortcomings, I've never been so sure that I have to vote for Trump.
02:48:19.000 We have to win.
02:48:21.000 Yeah, and I'm glad people are coming around to that.
02:48:22.000 I'm glad people are starting to realize that.
02:48:25.000 It's very easy to say, you know, the serious strikes are disqualifying in 2017, but you see what we're up against.
02:48:33.000 They're going to throw open the borders, red flag you.
02:48:36.000 It's going to be literally the Google, Amazon, Facebook regime, and they're going to kill you.
02:48:41.000 They're going to take your guns.
02:48:43.000 They're going to put.
02:48:44.000 A star on your door for being white, and then Black Lives Matter is going to break in and slit your throat.
02:48:51.000 Like, this is what's going to happen.
02:48:54.000 Call Me Meta says, Nick, making us watch this is payback for all the bad super chats.
02:48:58.000 Yeah, you better watch this, and you're going to like it.
02:49:02.000 FF says, This weird stochastic pacing and double think content is the DNC reimagined for the sensibilities of the black voter base.
02:49:11.000 Yeah, very true.
02:49:13.000 Well, and just the entire country.
02:49:15.000 The whole country is.
02:49:17.000 This way.
02:49:18.000 The whole country is just totally debased and vulgar and degenerated and primitive.
02:49:24.000 It's very sad.
02:49:27.000 Yamato's the systemic systems of institutional, systemic structures of systematic structural systems.
02:49:33.000 Yeah, right?
02:49:36.000 That whole event, that whole convention is supposed to convey what Democrats are for, and you don't even really know.
02:49:43.000 Unity.
02:49:45.000 And what else?
02:49:46.000 Unity opposing racial injustice.
02:49:52.000 It's all very vapid.
02:49:54.000 Clean Leon says, What do you think of white America as a counterpart to the black community?
02:49:59.000 Yeah, I think that's good.
02:50:00.000 I like that.
02:50:02.000 Prince Bismarck says, I like the way black people say community.
02:50:05.000 Yeah, community.
02:50:07.000 Community.
02:50:08.000 They always do that.
02:50:09.000 They really enunciate in the black community.
02:50:14.000 In my community.
02:50:17.000 Yeah, they're pretty charming that way.
02:50:22.000 Uh, bear just says, Shout out to my AF telegram chat group.
02:50:26.000 Thanks for the great show, Nick.
02:50:27.000 God bless.
02:50:28.000 AF is inevitable.
02:50:29.000 Thanks, buddy.
02:50:30.000 Trilled in action says, Joe's nose knows.
02:50:35.000 Okay, chicken strip basket king.
02:50:38.000 I could go for a chicken strip basket.
02:50:39.000 I'm hungry.
02:50:41.000 I could go for that right now.
02:50:43.000 He says, Keep up the hard work.
02:50:45.000 God bless.
02:50:45.000 Ban pit bulls.
02:50:47.000 America first.
02:50:48.000 Well, thank you so much for the huge super chat.
02:50:50.000 I really appreciate it.
02:50:52.000 Thanks a lot, man.
02:50:54.000 And I agree.
02:50:55.000 Ban pit bulls.
02:50:57.000 Still a very prescient issue.
02:50:59.000 The pit bull.
02:51:01.000 They have to all be put down.
02:51:02.000 We have to gather them all up.
02:51:04.000 Cannon's Law, totally unrelated.
02:51:06.000 Ban all pit bulls.
02:51:07.000 Pit bull drop off.
02:51:09.000 You drop them off, okay, and then they get thrown into a furnace.
02:51:12.000 They get thrown into a cremation chamber.
02:51:15.000 They get thrown into a meat grinder.
02:51:19.000 They're horrible.
02:51:20.000 I will not apologize.
02:51:21.000 I will not cuck on the pit bull.
02:51:23.000 Some people say that's cruel or something.
02:51:26.000 What's cruel is letting those monsters on the streets where they ravage children, they rip the faces off of children.
02:51:35.000 Why would we allow that?
02:51:37.000 You know, if they had like horns and bat wings, people would be fine with it.
02:51:41.000 What does it take?
02:51:42.000 What does it take for us to do what must be done?
02:51:45.000 For us to do what is necessary?
02:51:47.000 We have to stay.
02:51:48.000 And by the way, that's not even.
02:51:49.000 I'm not dog whistling.
02:51:50.000 I'm not trying to be funny.
02:51:51.000 I seriously hate pit bulls, like the dog.
02:51:55.000 You know, some people are like, oh, like liberals often say, oh, that's like a dog whistle for something else.
02:52:00.000 No, I hate pit bulls.
02:52:02.000 And I, you know, could you imagine if that's you on like public transportation or on the sidewalk and a pit bull just takes off towards you?
02:52:11.000 What are you going to do?
02:52:12.000 You can't outrun it.
02:52:14.000 Its jaw locks on your face, you're game over, right?
02:52:18.000 Unless you have a gun at the ready and you're going to blow its head off, which I guess you could do that.
02:52:25.000 But could you imagine being put in a life or death situation like that?
02:52:29.000 Because some guy's like, oh, sorry, he just got away.
02:52:32.000 No way.
02:52:33.000 Get rid of him.
02:52:35.000 Total Annihilation Fitness says, I love how Cuomo mentioned anti Semitism first, LMAO.
02:52:41.000 Well, that's because that comes first, right?
02:52:45.000 It's kind of interesting the primacy that that brand of racism has.
02:52:49.000 Maybe it says something else about something else having primacy.
02:52:54.000 FF says, Imagine politicizing the death of one of your parents.
02:52:57.000 What a terrible human being.
02:52:59.000 And you could see it in her eyes.
02:52:59.000 Yeah, that was sick.
02:53:01.000 Whore and, you know, demon woman.
02:53:05.000 Women have a unique capacity, I think, to be sort of cruel.
02:53:11.000 Folk Heroes says 2020 in the bag.
02:53:13.000 Well, it's not a done deal yet, but I'm definitely more optimistic than I was last month.
02:53:19.000 Christian says, G'day, Nick.
02:53:20.000 You've spoken before about how mixed marriages can lead to a plethora of unwanted outcomes for couples and children.
02:53:27.000 Would you mind briefly speaking to your experience coming from two racial backgrounds, despite being predominantly Italian?
02:53:33.000 I don't see it that way.
02:53:36.000 Because, you know, if you look at my ancestry, my mom's all Italian, my father is half Mexican and half Irish.
02:53:45.000 And historically in America, if you look at the census or really anything else, the historic racial division was between white and black.
02:53:53.000 You know, it wasn't until recently that you start to have this category of non Hispanic white, and even a lot of Arabs to this day are counted as white.
02:54:02.000 That's obviously not to say that Europeans are the same as Mexicans and Mexicans are the same as Arabs, but it is to say that, you know, the idea that my father comes from like a different racial group.
02:54:13.000 I mean, you could say that maybe my father's father was mixed race or something like that, but, you know, as far as Mexican goes, there's even a lot of European in there.
02:54:25.000 You know, most.
02:54:26.000 Mexicans, on average, have a large percentage of European DNA, and it also varies.
02:54:32.000 You know, obviously, there are some Mexicans that are much closer to the Spanish side and some closer to the indigenous side, but I think it's basically ridiculous to say that I'm biracial.
02:54:42.000 Would anybody believe that?
02:54:44.000 You know, I have what, 80% European DNA, white skin, green eyes, brown hair?
02:54:50.000 You know, when people seriously, I know some people, I say that as a joke, oh, I'm Afro Latino, and, you know, some people use that to say, like, oh, Fuentes, you're against immigration, but it's basically ridiculous.
02:55:02.000 Unreality says the nurse complaining that the government didn't figure out how to protect him from COVID.
02:55:07.000 Shouldn't the nurse know better than the government?
02:55:09.000 Always blame Trump.
02:55:11.000 Always blame others.
02:55:11.000 No responsibility.
02:55:13.000 Yeah, that's true.
02:55:15.000 Well, and, well, to blame Trump for any, it's not even about that.
02:55:20.000 They're going to blame Trump for being, for people dying from coronavirus.
02:55:24.000 It's a global pandemic.
02:55:27.000 And everybody knows that.
02:55:29.000 You know, the idea that he's, oh, because he didn't stop it soon enough.
02:55:33.000 Trump put in place the travel ban before anybody.
02:55:36.000 Wanted to do anything about the virus.
02:55:38.000 The mainstream media was still calling it the flu when Trump put in place the travel ban on China.
02:55:43.000 What did they want him to do and when?
02:55:45.000 And if he was supposed to know better, then what's the responsibility of the media or the Democrats?
02:55:52.000 So it was Trump that put the travel ban on China and the travel ban on Europe.
02:55:57.000 A lot of people said that was excessive when he did that in mid March.
02:56:00.000 The testing capacity has been greatly expanded.
02:56:03.000 We do more tests than anybody.
02:56:04.000 So we were never at a shortage of ventilators, hospital beds.
02:56:09.000 It's just It's not true that people die from the pandemic because of Trump, but then you look at Trump's record, and he has a good record on the virus.
02:56:21.000 Folk Hero says 2020 in the bag.
02:56:24.000 Yeah.
02:56:24.000 Oh, I just read that one earlier, actually.
02:56:27.000 Cephas says hair looks good tonight.
02:56:29.000 Thanks.
02:56:31.000 AKC says, even though it is tomorrow, happy birthday.
02:56:34.000 This entire DNC broadcast is quite terrible.
02:56:37.000 Well, hey, thank you for the big super chat.
02:56:39.000 I appreciate it.
02:56:40.000 Thanks for the birthday wishes.
02:56:42.000 Yeah, pretty painful show tonight.
02:56:44.000 But that's been this whole election.
02:56:46.000 We had to watch the Democratic primary, and now we get to watch a Democratic convention.
02:56:51.000 The good thing is, we'll get a Republican convention next week, which will be better.
02:56:58.000 Let's see.
02:56:59.000 Fraticelli says, Nice tie.
02:57:00.000 Thanks.
02:57:02.000 AKC, I read that one.
02:57:04.000 Dogenes says, God bless you for suffering through this cringe.
02:57:08.000 Lord knows I don't have the strength of will.
02:57:10.000 Yeah, well, I. I'm not really doing a great job.
02:57:13.000 I'm like on Twitter.
02:57:14.000 I'm DMing people.
02:57:18.000 Idaho Zoomer says, I miss the good old days when we could bend the American people and be civil about it.
02:57:24.000 What do you mean, bend them?
02:57:26.000 G Nobs says, hey man, my birthday's tomorrow as well.
02:57:30.000 Do you have a favorite sieve to play?
02:57:32.000 Stay sharp.
02:57:33.000 Well, hey, happy birthday.
02:57:36.000 Well, you didn't even wish me a happy birthday.
02:57:38.000 Hey, my birthday's tomorrow too.
02:57:40.000 Well, how about happy birthday?
02:57:42.000 Try that one on for size.
02:57:44.000 Favorite Civ?
02:57:46.000 My favorite Civs to play, I like Rome because I always play tradition.
02:57:51.000 So the production bonus for buildings is really good for Rome because if you, you know, the way that you typically play tradition is you only build those, you know, three or four major cities and it's focused on production and buildings and things like that.
02:58:10.000 And you also get that bonus where you get a culture building and all that.
02:58:14.000 You get population growth.
02:58:16.000 And obviously you don't get the benefits.
02:58:18.000 Like settler production and all of that that comes with liberty.
02:58:22.000 So, I usually do tradition in three to four cities.
02:58:25.000 And, you know, if you're building those buildings in the capital, then it means that you can build them more quickly in the other cities, library, whatever, a watermill.
02:58:35.000 So I like Rome a lot for that reason.
02:58:36.000 I like India because India, you know, I don't like India, but I like playing India as a civ because they have that population bonus.
02:58:44.000 Again, if you're playing tradition and you get that, what is it, minus 10% on happiness from your cities, then that allows you to, it kind of gives you a head start as far as happiness goes.
02:58:55.000 It's not as tight when it comes to building happiness buildings and avoiding.
02:58:59.000 All the penalties you incur when you have minus zero happiness.
02:59:03.000 So I like India, I like Rome, I like Germany because you get the, what do they call those, those land shents or whatever, those land units, and you get the barbarians, maybe they become units.
02:59:18.000 So those are probably my favorites.
02:59:22.000 Really good comics says running desktop destroyer while watching this and bashing everyone with a hammer.
02:59:27.000 Well, I don't know what that is, but.
02:59:30.000 Thanks.
02:59:33.000 America says, Where did this BS about defunding the post office come from?
02:59:37.000 I find it difficult to believe.
02:59:38.000 I have no idea.
02:59:39.000 This thing came out of nowhere.
02:59:41.000 I don't even, I can't even keep up with this.
02:59:43.000 It's like one day everybody's mad about the post office and you get these now this videos.
02:59:49.000 Donald Trump is defunding the post office.
02:59:51.000 It's like, what?
02:59:53.000 Nobody was talking about this yesterday.
02:59:55.000 And now everybody is like, oh, if you're not okay with the post office, I will kill you.
03:00:01.000 Oh, you don't believe we should.
03:00:03.000 Give more money to the post office.
03:00:04.000 You're a fascist, and I'm going to blow up your house.
03:00:09.000 It's so goofy.
03:00:11.000 People are so, you know, that's how it is, though.
03:00:14.000 Tragic Atheist says the post office is a national service, and we must not allow Republicans to privatize it.
03:00:22.000 We must secure the existence of the post office.
03:00:24.000 Yeah, okay, very funny.
03:00:26.000 Dance of Metroids says watching these commercials is like going through a checklist of entry level psychological manipulation.
03:00:33.000 Use acoustic guitar to project simple living and authenticity.
03:00:37.000 We allow the conservative traders to downplay their convictions, etc.
03:00:41.000 So slimy, yeah, it is.
03:00:43.000 But that's politics, you know.
03:00:46.000 And the Democrats are so corporate at this point.
03:00:49.000 And that's exactly what it is the rooftop RB performance.
03:00:54.000 That looks like it could have come out of a commercial for like Education Connection or what was that?
03:01:01.000 J.G. Wentworth, Need Cash Now.
03:01:03.000 It's like one of those stupid type commercials.
03:01:06.000 You could totally see that in an insurance commercial.
03:01:09.000 You have the general insurance, right?
03:01:12.000 They're doing a rooftop performance.
03:01:15.000 And same with that acoustic in the white girl on the beach, that other performance.
03:01:21.000 And yeah, they're going to trot out the white people, the white farmer from Pennsylvania.
03:01:27.000 Everything Republicans say the Democrats do about blacks, they do for whites.
03:01:31.000 You know, Republicans say, oh, Democrats will go to the blacks and then they'll say, see you later, and they'll come back in four years to get their vote again, but, you know, they don't take care of you between the elections.
03:01:43.000 It's like that's what it is for white people.
03:01:45.000 Democrats are all day, every day, anti white.
03:01:49.000 And then a few months before the election, they're going to trot out a white male farmer.
03:01:54.000 And suddenly he's not toxic masculinity.
03:01:57.000 Suddenly he's not microaggressions and, you know, born racist and so on, problematic.
03:02:05.000 Now he's, you know, really thoughtful and we should really listen to him.
03:02:10.000 Maxie Bro says, LMAO, I wish Trump was as authoritarian as Bernie says he is.
03:02:14.000 Yeah, tell me about it.
03:02:16.000 Yeet says they only have 25k viewers and we're at 11k.
03:02:20.000 AF is inevitable.
03:02:21.000 Yeah, we're doing pretty good.
03:02:23.000 Base Dollar says, Big Mike could bite a watermelon in half.
03:02:27.000 Yeah, he could smash a watermelon with his bare hands.
03:02:30.000 Just smash it.
03:02:31.000 Not even like break it, like striking it, but just through sheer force.
03:02:37.000 Big Mike, those biceps?
03:02:39.000 Those are not a girl's biceps.
03:02:42.000 No Comp says, Thanks, Boomers.
03:02:44.000 Yeah, thank you, Baby Boomers.
03:02:46.000 Tragic Atheist says, That Billy Porter fag with the cape portrayed a pedophile on an episode of Law Order SVU.
03:02:53.000 Really?
03:02:54.000 Not surprising.
03:02:55.000 That's probably a very true to life portrayal.
03:03:00.000 I like Law Order SVU.
03:03:02.000 I like those shows.
03:03:03.000 SVU and what's the other one?
03:03:07.000 Chicago PD, of course.
03:03:09.000 They're very formulaic, but there's something satisfying about it.
03:03:13.000 Winston says, I sent a review bra meme to my boomer aunt earlier today.
03:03:18.000 She texted me back.
03:03:19.000 Is that the Nick Fuentes guy here you're talking about?
03:03:22.000 Yeah, very funny.
03:03:25.000 I do not look like review bra.
03:03:28.000 People say that because I'm like a white nerd in a suit.
03:03:32.000 They're like, oh, you wear a suit?
03:03:34.000 Review, bro.
03:03:36.000 But we look very dissimilar.
03:03:39.000 Jeff Jefferson says, no e girls, not even if the sun turns black.
03:03:42.000 Yep.
03:03:43.000 Blue Ridge Groyper says, is it a coincidence that all the black congresspeople can't read a prompter?
03:03:51.000 Happy birthday, King.
03:03:52.000 Thanks.
03:03:53.000 G Money says, please don't do DNC music video awards for the rest of the week.
03:03:57.000 That was painful.
03:03:58.000 On another note, I've noticed recently the switch in the language from demanding equality to demanding equity.
03:04:04.000 Hmm.
03:04:06.000 Well, that's because in their mind, the difference between those words is that equality means that everyone is treated the same, and equity means that everybody's treated fairly based upon historical circumstances.
03:04:23.000 So they'll say that equality is you treat the black kid from the ghetto and the rich white kid and the Chinese immigrant with millionaire parents. As all the same, all equal, colorblind, and they're going to stand on their merits.
03:04:37.000 They argue that equity means that, well, we're going to give the black kid a huge leg up because, of course, and the white and the Asians are going to get a huge disadvantage because, you know, that's how you level it out.
03:04:51.000 So that's what they say.
03:04:53.000 Diligence says, I really feel bad for people who fall for this shit.
03:04:57.000 And then again, not really.
03:04:58.000 Anyways, fun stream.
03:05:00.000 Well, thanks.
03:05:01.000 Glad you liked it.
03:05:02.000 Black Knight says, I baked you a cake.
03:05:04.000 Checked your P.O. box.
03:05:06.000 Did you really?
03:05:08.000 I'll check my P.O. box, but I don't know if you should ship a cake in the mail.
03:05:13.000 Polish American Groyper says, Are you interested in a Bape hoodie?
03:05:17.000 It was bought when I was 5 to 10, but no longer fits me.
03:05:20.000 Should I send it over your way?
03:05:23.000 What is that?
03:05:28.000 I don't know what that is.
03:05:29.000 And I don't want your hand me downs.
03:05:31.000 I don't want Polish American Groyper hand me downs.
03:05:35.000 Polish American Groyper be like, Do you want this shirt off my back?
03:05:38.000 It doesn't fit me anymore.
03:05:40.000 I think I'm Thanks for the offer, but I think I'm good.
03:05:44.000 I don't even know what that is.
03:05:46.000 Let's see.
03:05:47.000 Chad Supreme.
03:05:48.000 Yeah, I'm going to be wearing your sweatshirt.
03:05:50.000 A little weird.
03:05:51.000 Chad Supreme says, Happy birthday, who are the trash music segments for?
03:05:56.000 Do Dems think this is how to get the white vote?
03:05:58.000 I guess it's just like a transition.
03:05:59.000 It's just filler, probably.
03:06:02.000 Tragic Atheist says, Been bringing on, sorry, has been binging on some mob movies, Goodfellas and Three Godfathers, classic Italian culture.
03:06:13.000 Make them an offer they can't refuse.
03:06:15.000 If they do it, they'll be sleeping with the fishers, mod own.
03:06:18.000 Okay, you know, that is offensive.
03:06:24.000 Could you imagine somebody like super chatting a black person?
03:06:28.000 Hey, my nipple.
03:06:29.000 I just watched Shaft and Dolomite.
03:06:33.000 She it.
03:06:34.000 She it.
03:06:35.000 I love watermelon.
03:06:36.000 Am I right?
03:06:37.000 Am I right?
03:06:38.000 Like, that's offensive.
03:06:40.000 Yeah, make them an offer they can't review.
03:06:42.000 It's my own.
03:06:43.000 Yeah, that's just like me.
03:06:44.000 Yeah, it's just so relatable.
03:06:48.000 Love to hear it.
03:06:50.000 Total Annihilation Fitness says, Happy birthday, King.
03:06:53.000 If you ever need any free exercise programs or diet plans, Let me know.
03:06:58.000 Just like Jesse Winfrey is our cowboy.
03:07:00.000 I'm our personal trainer.
03:07:03.000 Hi, can I have a free workout?
03:07:06.000 Can you get me doing some push ups?
03:07:08.000 Do you think I'll ever allow a super chatter to tell me to do push ups?
03:07:12.000 Some super chatter, like, okay, so on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you're going to do your push ups and your sit ups.
03:07:21.000 Fuck you.
03:07:22.000 I'll make my own.
03:07:22.000 No.
03:07:23.000 I know how to make a workout program.
03:07:25.000 Not difficult.
03:07:27.000 You do a little arms, you do a little chest, you do your legs.
03:07:30.000 Not complicated.
03:07:32.000 Okay, okay, Nick.
03:07:34.000 So glad to work with you.
03:07:35.000 So, for Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and you know, you're going to be eating this and that.
03:07:38.000 Appreciate the offer, but I don't take orders like that.
03:07:43.000 I have an aversion to personal trainers.
03:07:45.000 I just do.
03:07:46.000 I don't want to be bossed around like that.
03:07:48.000 I don't want to go in the gym because I did that one time.
03:07:53.000 I went to one of these local gyms, and part of the subscription is they gave you like a free trial for like some personal training program.
03:08:03.000 And they assign me some black guy.
03:08:05.000 Okay, like that for starters is going to be an issue.
03:08:08.000 Not that I have a problem with black people, but it's like I don't want a black person bossing me around.
03:08:13.000 I don't want anybody bossing me around.
03:08:16.000 But I especially, but if I am going to get bossed around, I want to be bossed around by my kin.
03:08:22.000 It's just uncomfortable to me.
03:08:23.000 It feels too much like the rest of the world to have that happen.
03:08:28.000 But anyway, so I get assigned this personal trainer.
03:08:33.000 And he's like trying to like encourage me or motivate me by like yelling at me, like, come on, come on, do another one.
03:08:40.000 And I'm thinking, excuse me, I don't recall, you know, I don't give you the right to talk to me like this.
03:08:49.000 I don't even know you.
03:08:50.000 I just met you.
03:08:52.000 So why don't we pump the brakes on you, you know, getting in my face and trying to do this motivational thing?
03:08:57.000 You're a stranger.
03:08:59.000 You know, do you even know who I am and what I'm about?
03:09:02.000 Not even like an ego thing, but it's just uncomfortable.
03:09:06.000 You know, let me.
03:09:07.000 I'm perfectly capable of being motivated and lifting my weights and challenging myself.
03:09:12.000 I don't need some, you know, talk about, you know, Godfather and my own certain term I'm thinking of.
03:09:20.000 I don't need some person bossing me around like that.
03:09:24.000 Go, go, go, go.
03:09:26.000 Lift it, lift it.
03:09:27.000 Come on, give me one more.
03:09:28.000 Yeah, all right.
03:09:29.000 I think we're done here.
03:09:29.000 You know what?
03:09:31.000 So, anyway, so it's nothing personal.
03:09:33.000 It's nothing personal.
03:09:35.000 Sorry if my knee jerk reaction was too, uh, Flip you off.
03:09:39.000 Sorry if my knee jerk reaction was to respond to your offer with the middle finger, but no can do.
03:09:47.000 I'm not going to get bossed around by a black guy.
03:09:50.000 I'm not going to get bossed around by a super chatter.
03:09:54.000 I'm going to search something up online.
03:09:56.000 Maybe a friend will make a recommendation.
03:10:04.000 Here's what we're going to do.
03:10:05.000 I can imagine somebody filling something out on paper and then turning the paper around and passing it to me.
03:10:10.000 And then pointing at different things with a pencil like I'm a fucking idiot.
03:10:14.000 I can imagine that.
03:10:15.000 I can imagine you and I are sitting across from the table and you're writing down the workout program, and then you're going to turn the paper around and slide it in my direction and point at it with the pencil.
03:10:27.000 I'm going to go like this.
03:10:28.000 Uh huh, yeah?
03:10:30.000 Like I'm some kind of fucking idiot.
03:10:32.000 My IQ is 500.
03:10:34.000 You think I need you to explain to me to do 300 push ups?
03:10:37.000 300 push ups in three days?
03:10:42.000 Anyway.
03:10:44.000 I don't know why.
03:10:47.000 I don't know why that bothers me, but.
03:10:49.000 I just think about that.
03:10:50.000 So, here's what we're going to do.
03:10:51.000 So, you're going to do, we're going to have you doing.
03:10:54.000 Okay, okay, thanks.
03:10:56.000 Okay, thanks.
03:10:59.000 Man, I just can't.
03:11:00.000 I can't do it anymore.
03:11:03.000 I can't handle it.
03:11:05.000 Okay, no, but thank you.
03:11:08.000 Our self appointed personal trainer.
03:11:11.000 I'm our personal trainer.
03:11:12.000 Oh, really?
03:11:14.000 Says who?
03:11:15.000 No, I'm just messing.
03:11:16.000 I'm just messing with you, but thanks for the birthday.
03:11:19.000 I just, man, that was uncalled for.
03:11:21.000 That was mean.
03:11:23.000 But thanks for the super chat.
03:11:25.000 Thanks for the birthday wishes and the congratulations.
03:11:28.000 If I ever want a workout plan, I will let you know.
03:11:31.000 But thank you for the offer.
03:11:33.000 Now I'm just being a jerk.
03:11:35.000 Tactical Nukes is almost midnight.
03:11:37.000 Feeling old yet?
03:11:38.000 Yes.
03:11:39.000 Have a good birthday.
03:11:40.000 Here's your Walgreens card.
03:11:41.000 Thank you.
03:11:43.000 Here's the red pill get your birthday cards at the dollar store.
03:11:47.000 Because if you get your birthday cards or whatever, if you get your cards anywhere else, they're like $5 now.
03:11:53.000 You get a nice Father's Day card, Mother's Day card, birthday card.
03:11:57.000 It's $5 at least, the cheap ones.
03:12:01.000 And sometimes they're like $7 or $11 for a birthday card if you want those nice ones.
03:12:09.000 So go to the dollar store.
03:12:10.000 Go to the dollar store.
03:12:11.000 They have cheap ones, big selection.
03:12:15.000 That's what I do.
03:12:16.000 And I like the simple ones because I like to write the message.
03:12:19.000 People pay $10 for the card and they're getting the Hallmark message or whatever.
03:12:24.000 I pay $3 for some stupid cartoon, goofy card.
03:12:28.000 And then I fill it with my thoughts, you know, in my words.
03:12:32.000 So that's the red pill.
03:12:37.000 Based Kyle says Trump should have Derek Chauvin speak at the GOP convention.
03:12:37.000 Let's see.
03:12:42.000 Yeah.
03:12:43.000 They have George Floyd's parents.
03:12:44.000 We have Derek Chauvin.
03:12:46.000 He's going to.
03:12:47.000 There's one point Derek Chauvin is giving the primetime address the second night of the convention.
03:12:54.000 And he says something like I kneeled on George Floyd.
03:12:59.000 And I'm not sorry.
03:13:00.000 And then there's just like raucous, thunderous applause.
03:13:04.000 Slowly, everyone gets to their feet.
03:13:07.000 Not even slowly, people get out of their seat.
03:13:10.000 Yeah, yeah!
03:13:14.000 Derek Chauvin comes up and he's introduced at some point in the speech.
03:13:22.000 And that's when I put my knee on George Floyd's neck.
03:13:27.000 And you know what?
03:13:28.000 I'm not sorry.
03:13:30.000 And everybody gets up.
03:13:34.000 Woo!
03:13:34.000 You know, people are whistling.
03:13:39.000 And the magical moment in the 2020 Republican convention when Derek Chauvin, headlining the Tuesday night lineup, said that he was not sorry for killing George Floyd.
03:13:56.000 And then they play the sound bite.
03:13:58.000 And I'm not sorry.
03:13:59.000 Woo!
03:14:02.000 Yeah, that would be something, huh?
03:14:04.000 Instead, they're probably going to bring on fucking Trayvon Martin.
03:14:07.000 Trayvon Martin's girlfriend, Diamond.
03:14:12.000 Anyway.
03:14:15.000 There's like a documentary about it, and then Derek Chauvin's like, it was electric.
03:14:18.000 It was electric.
03:14:20.000 I said it.
03:14:23.000 Derek Chauvin for Attorney General.
03:14:25.000 Derek Chauvin, the new Attorney General of the United States.
03:14:30.000 And all criminals are going to get a knee on crime.
03:14:36.000 Okay, anyway.
03:14:38.000 Now I'm just being silly, but yeah, that would be Kino.
03:14:43.000 Gabe says MFs be like, I'm alt right, like non Nibba, you autistic.
03:14:48.000 Yeah, very true.
03:14:50.000 Black Knights is also just want to say that a political solution won't save you, Nick.
03:14:55.000 Only my new powers can do that.
03:15:01.000 Okay, yeah.
03:15:04.000 You, sir, win the internet for the day.
03:15:06.000 Okay, have some Reddit, have some Reddit gold.
03:15:12.000 Only my new powers can do that.
03:15:16.000 Oh, that's good.
03:15:17.000 That's classic.
03:15:19.000 N word, Slizzard Hands says the entire.
03:15:23.000 I can't get over how funny that is.
03:15:29.000 Make things the way we want them to be.
03:15:33.000 I can't believe what I'm hearing.
03:15:36.000 Obi-Wan was right.
03:15:37.000 You've changed.
03:15:40.000 Ah.
03:15:42.000 That's good.
03:15:42.000 Anyway, N word slizzer hands says, The entire white race is on your back.
03:15:47.000 Sorry, I'm so fat.
03:15:49.000 Yeah, we've got all these obese country people weighing us down.
03:15:55.000 I'm kidding, of course.
03:15:56.000 Polish American Groyper says, You cannot trust women with the privacy of a group chat.
03:16:01.000 Nick Fuentes, after revealing his tweets on stream in front of thousands of viewers.
03:16:06.000 Just kidding, man.
03:16:07.000 I hate women.
03:16:08.000 Just nagging you.
03:16:09.000 Yeah, you know.
03:16:12.000 It was an accident.
03:16:13.000 It was an accident, okay?
03:16:14.000 Accidents happen.
03:16:16.000 That is kind of funny, though.
03:16:18.000 Me accidentally reveals the group chat to 10,000 live viewers.
03:16:24.000 You can never trust e girls.
03:16:25.000 They will leak it, it'll be on the front page of the news.
03:16:29.000 Me.
03:16:30.000 Yeah, accidentally displays the group chat in front of the whole internet.
03:16:37.000 Okay.
03:16:38.000 Fred Thompson says Did you see the baked Chaggett sleep stream?
03:16:42.000 I did.
03:16:43.000 Very funny.
03:16:44.000 Emitar.
03:16:46.000 Amataras says, I used to be a Catholic, but now I am a Buddhist because of my parents.
03:16:51.000 Do you consider me a sinner?
03:16:53.000 Well, I mean, everyone is a sinner.
03:16:54.000 That's not, I mean, that doesn't really mean anything, but you're obviously not a Christian.
03:16:58.000 You're not in the church.
03:17:00.000 You are unrepentant.
03:17:02.000 You're not reconciled to God, which is problematic.
03:17:06.000 AKC says, How many times do you think they practiced that Zoom clapping cue?
03:17:10.000 Yeah, I'm sure probably, as always, a lot.
03:17:15.000 Self dog or Sife dog says, Hey, Nick, I just turned 20 on Friday.
03:17:21.000 And I started college last year as a depressed, agnostic libertarian.
03:17:26.000 Watching the show has made me a positive person, and I am on the path to becoming Christian.
03:17:30.000 I sincerely thank you.
03:17:31.000 Groyper till I die.
03:17:33.000 Well, hey, thanks so much, man.
03:17:34.000 That's great to hear.
03:17:35.000 That's exactly how I was.
03:17:37.000 I mean, I was an agnostic, I was more or less culturally Christian.
03:17:42.000 But yeah, I was depressed.
03:17:43.000 I was libertarian in college, same age.
03:17:46.000 I was 19.
03:17:48.000 And then I became Catholic America first, Groyper, and totally different worldview.
03:17:54.000 And I can confirm, you know, becoming a Christian isn't like going to solve all your problems in your real life.
03:18:01.000 It's not going to make your life super easy and you're never going to feel pain or sorrow or anything like that.
03:18:07.000 But I will say that when you become a Catholic or even I would just say a reactionary, when you kind of understand the way the world is on some level, not like I have all the answers, but you kind of get a feel for what's really going on here, I think it does change your outlook.
03:18:26.000 Because a lot of people, I think, are miserable because they're searching or longing for something.
03:18:33.000 That is not good for them, or that they don't really want, or for something that's missing but that they can find in church.
03:18:41.000 You know, I feel like so much of not being religious, or maybe even just a realist in some sense, all that misery comes from these like delusions that people have.
03:18:51.000 There's this dissonance between this expectation and reality, you know, between people's dreams, their hopes, and their, you know, this idea of happiness or whatever.
03:19:04.000 And when you realize it's all bullshit, you know, at least that liberal consensus on what all of that means, I think that's when a big weight kind of comes off your shoulders in some ways, in certain ways.
03:19:16.000 So that's good to hear, buddy.
03:19:18.000 Livewire says pit bulls are the best.
03:19:20.000 The only thing they need is to be kept away from the real beasts, the demographics that buy them because they think they're mean.
03:19:28.000 I don't know, man.
03:19:29.000 I've seen the studies.
03:19:30.000 I'm unconvinced.
03:19:32.000 AKC says, how many times do you think they practice?
03:19:34.000 Okay, you said that already.
03:19:36.000 King says, birthday stream tomorrow.
03:19:38.000 Commentary of DNC night two.
03:19:41.000 Great stream tonight and live it up tomorrow.
03:19:43.000 Well, thanks.
03:19:44.000 I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow.
03:19:45.000 I'm going to do a show, but I don't know if I'll do the DNC or if I'll do something else.
03:19:50.000 But thanks for the birthday wishes.
03:19:53.000 Yeet says, remember to never help people when shit hits the fan or help these people when shit hits the fan.
03:19:59.000 Yeah, totally agree.
03:20:01.000 Totally agree.
