03:10:28.000Well, the reason that Trump is launching these attacks on Iran, the whole reason the MOU failed, the whole reason this peace deal collapsed, is because Iran refuses to implement a full opening of the Strait of Hormuz.

03:10:47.000But the problem is there was all this ambiguity in the language of the deal.
03:10:51.000The deal did not specify under what conditions the Strait would open.
03:10:56.000All it said, Is that the strait would be fully open within 30 days of the signing of the deal.
03:11:03.000And it said that the management of the strait would be under the control of Iran and Oman with consultation from the Gulf countries.
03:11:12.000Iran exploited the ambiguity in the language to assert that what the deal said is that Iran gets to control the entire strait.
03:11:22.000And if Oman has a problem with that, well, that doesn't matter.
03:11:27.000And so Oman tried to open up their side of the strait.
03:11:30.000For any commercial shipping, and Iran shut it down by bombing it.
03:11:34.000And this is why the United States came back into the fight and started bombing Iran again for two weeks and threatened to launch another decisive strike on Iran this weekend.

03:11:49.000And what that specifically means is that Iran is looking to make a deal to open up the strait.

03:19:17.000The way that this differs is it adds specificity about what the management looks like.

03:19:55.000And the weakness of this is that in this framework agreement, it says that when the 30 days expire, when Iran clears all the mines and traffic gets back to normal, it says at that point, There's going to be another agreement.

03:20:12.000This agreement is tentative and it's looking forward 30 days for the next agreement that creates a temporary permanent understanding between Iran and Oman before we create some kind of long term peace deal that solves all the problems once and for all.
03:20:31.000There's going to be a long term peace deal, but before that, there's going to be a permanent deal between Iran and Oman for governance of the strait in 30 days.

03:34:40.000The reporting over the weekend said that Trump was locked and loaded.
03:34:44.000He was ready to go on Saturday, like it was talked about and broadcast everywhere.
03:34:49.000Trump was going to launch the biggest airstrike on Iran that we have ever done since World War II.
03:34:55.000And at the last minute, Trump called it off.
03:34:58.000The early reporting yesterday and on Sunday said that we did this on the advice of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia.
