03:07:59.000 Tonight is day 39 of the war in Iran, and maybe it's over.
03:08:04.000 Our big story tonight, we're going to be covering the ceasefire, which was apparently just brokered about six hours ago. 0.74
03:08:13.000 And the news broke while I was live earlier this evening with Jake Shields, but it seems to be true.
03:08:20.000 And we're going to work through the details and how it came about and the conditions. 0.83
03:08:26.000 But earlier tonight, the president of the United States announced that the U.S. has achieved a ceasefire, a temporary two week agreement with Iran.
03:08:37.000 And this was brokered by Pakistan at the last minute.
03:08:41.000 As you know, Trump's ultimatum, his deadline to strike Iran's power plants and bridges, was tonight at 8 o'clock Eastern Time.
03:08:52.000 Just about 90 minutes shy of the deadline, the deal was finalized and then very quickly announced.
03:08:59.000 And now it seems that there will be a two week period where the two parties, including the intermediaries as well, are going to come together and try to find a broader and longer term agreement.
03:09:11.000 And so, like I said, we're going to work through some of the details.
03:09:15.000 Right now, it's a little bit unclear what exactly this is.
03:09:20.000 And we'll talk about why that is because there seems to be a lot of disagreement already about the terms of the deal.
03:09:29.000 So, for openers, it seemed that as the deal was announced, The United States did not know if Iran had agreed to it or would comply with the deal.
03:09:41.000 And we knew this because of the language in the Truth Social post where the ceasefire was announced, which you have to love.
03:09:49.000 We're finding out minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, the fate of Iran and the world via Truth Social and the president's timeline there.
03:10:02.000 But if you read the actual post, some of the language in Trump's announcement seemed to indicate.
03:10:09.000 He said that there will be a two week ceasefire if and only if Iran actually agrees to and abides by the terms, which are that Iran will immediately open up the Strait of Hormuz.
03:10:21.000 So that would tend to imply that we don't even know if they agreed to it at the time that we announced it.
03:10:27.000 We weren't sure either that they agreed to it or that they would implement it.
03:10:32.000 So, right out of the gate, there's this communication breakdown.
03:10:37.000 But then, shortly after the agreement was announced, the Islamic Republic of Iran released a statement, and they said that not only would there be a two week ceasefire, but they went further, and they said the U.S. agreed to their 10 point proposal.
03:10:54.000 And we've discussed the details of this.
03:10:56.000 We talked about it last night, we talked about it a couple of weeks ago when they initially released their proposal, when they proffered their version of a peace plan.
03:11:06.000 And the way I would characterize this 10 point plan is just shy of the maximalist demands of Iran.
03:11:15.000 And included in this 10 point plan that Iran claims we allegedly agreed to is that we are going to take apart all of our military bases in the Middle East, that they will get the Strait of Hormuz in perpetuity, and they will charge a toll.
03:11:33.000 All the shipping that goes through the Strait going forward is going to be subject to Iranian jurisdiction, and they're going to have to pay a fee.
03:11:41.000 To cross the strait of $2 million.
03:11:44.000 And that revenue will be split between Oman and Iran.
03:11:48.000 That's apparently part of this 10 point agreement that Iran claims Washington agreed to.
03:11:56.000 Already, Washington says that we didn't agree to those things.
03:12:01.000 And what's more, Israel says that they did not agree to certain terms of this 10 point proposal, including and particularly in the 10 point plan, it says Israel cannot bomb Hezbollah in Lebanon.
03:12:14.000 Well, Israel came out after this was announced and said, We're definitely not done bombing Lebanon.
03:12:19.000 We're definitely not done with Hezbollah.
03:12:22.000 So we are not six hours into the agreement, and there already seems to be a lot of disagreement about the actual terms.
03:12:30.000 From all of the parties involved, from Iran, from Washington, from Israel.
03:12:35.000 So, we're going to work through it and we'll talk about what was said and we'll talk about some of the disagreements.
03:12:41.000 And ultimately, we're going to talk about where all of this is going.
03:12:45.000 I'm not sure where exactly this leaves us here.
03:12:49.000 Because, as I had been saying from the beginning, what are the main military objectives of the U.S. in this war?
03:12:57.000 Well, there were five, and now there are six.
03:13:01.000 At the beginning of the conflict, the terms were these We wanted Iran to agree not to enrich uranium.
03:13:08.000 We wanted them to give over their highly enriched uranium, which they already have.
03:13:13.000 We wanted restrictions on their ballistic missile program.
03:13:16.000 We wanted restrictions on their support for regional proxies.
03:13:20.000 And we wanted regime change.
03:13:22.000 Those were the five big objectives.
03:13:24.000 And those have been the five objectives.
03:13:26.000 Those were the objectives last year, and those were the objectives this year.
03:13:30.000 Well, the sixth objective during the course of the war is reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
03:13:36.000 And obviously, that only became an issue after we started dropping the bombs. 0.92
03:13:40.000 That is when Iran seized control effectively. 0.92
03:13:43.000 By bombarding shipping in the strait with drones and missiles. 0.92
03:13:47.000 So, those are the six objectives in the conflict.
03:13:50.000 And if you've been paying attention, you probably realized none of those things had been achieved.
03:13:57.000 Iran has not agreed to give up enrichment, they have not agreed to give up their highly enriched uranium, they've not agreed to restrictions on their missiles or their proxies. 0.55
03:14:07.000 The regime is still in place. 0.85
03:14:09.000 And even though the Strait of Hormuz is being opened, they've taken control over it. 0.84
03:14:14.000 They have effectively annexed it and now they're making money from it.
03:14:18.000 And theoretically, they could hold it hostage again in the future.
03:14:22.000 So, if you're looking at this ceasefire, which says two weeks to negotiate a broader deal, what exactly is going to happen in the two weeks that is going to satisfy these U.S. demands?
03:14:38.000 Because it sounds like, from what Iran is saying, they think they got everything they wanted.
03:14:44.000 And we think that somehow we're going to get something or anything from them in the next two weeks. 0.72
03:14:51.000 And apparently, we're going to get it without any military leverage, without dropping bombs, without a ground invasion, anything like that.
03:14:59.000 So, my gut is telling me that this is not going to be a long lived ceasefire.
03:15:06.000 One of two things is going to happen either the entire purpose of this is a farce, and once again, Trump is buying time.
03:15:15.000 For one reason or another, maybe to maneuver militarily, maybe to relieve pressure on the economy.
03:15:20.000 But it seems like this is a complete farce, and we're probably going to revisit the conflict in the future at some point. 0.72
03:15:28.000 Or Israel is going to sabotage it on some timeline.
03:15:33.000 They are not happy, and none of the other countries in the Gulf are happy either.
03:15:37.000 Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, the Emirates, and Bahrain, they want to see some finality here.
03:15:45.000 They want to see a decisive confrontation. 0.81
03:15:48.000 And they want to see an ultimate end to the Iranian regime. 0.53
03:15:52.000 They don't feel safe right now.
03:15:54.000 And so, two weeks is enough time where the United States can credibly claim that we have brought an end to the conflict and we're buying time for negotiations.
03:16:06.000 But if it goes on any longer than two weeks, what they're going to start to say is that Iran is rebuilding.
03:16:11.000 And we're not talking about infrastructure, but they will say that Iran is rebuilding their military, they're rebuilding their missiles, they're building more drones. 0.63
03:16:20.000 And as long as they control the trade, they're going to continue to enjoy all the leverage and will only increase. 0.79
03:16:26.000 And that is without the constant bombardment from the U.S. and Israel. 0.75
03:16:32.000 So we're going to lay it all out.
03:16:34.000 We'll talk about all the facts, some of the fundamentals here, and we'll try to figure out what exactly is going on.

03:19:26.000 So obviously, we're at day 39 in the war.
03:19:29.000 We are halfway through the sixth week of the conflict.
03:19:32.000 And as we announced, it seems that the fighting, at least for now, is over.
03:19:38.000 And.
03:19:39.000 Where we were just 24 hours ago when we last spoke is that the deadline was coming down tonight.
03:19:49.000 This deadline for which so much has been said, about which so much has been said.
03:19:55.000 Initially, it was a 48 hour deadline, and then there were a few extensions.
03:20:00.000 They extended it by five days, 10 days.
03:20:03.000 It was supposed to be yesterday morning.
03:20:06.000 And finally, on Sunday, Trump extended the deadline until tonight, until 8 o'clock tonight.
03:20:13.000 And the threat was this.
03:20:15.000 Trump said that if Iran did not open up the Strait of Hormuz, then Trump would escalate the fighting to engage all of Iran's civilian infrastructure.
03:20:26.000 And not necessarily their oil and their energy sector, but their electrical infrastructure, their power grid, their power plants, their transportation infrastructure, their bridges, maybe civilian airports, things like that.
03:20:40.000 Trump was threatening to annihilate Iran.
03:20:43.000 And in no uncertain terms, he said on Easter Sunday, Didn't say happy Easter, by the way.
03:20:49.000 No happy Easter, no Christ is risen, not even a happy holidays.
03:20:54.000 On Sunday, Trump said that if Iran does not capitulate, then we will kill their civilization.
03:21:02.000 And there was a lot of blowback to that remark, including from myself.
03:21:08.000 But it was clearly a serious threat.
03:21:11.000 And Trump extended the deadline one more time.
03:21:14.000 He pushed it back an additional 36 hours.
03:21:18.000 And so that deadline was supposed to expire yesterday at 10 a.m.
03:21:23.000 He pushed it back one final time to tonight at 8 o'clock Eastern time.
03:21:28.000 And it looked like he was locked and loaded, ready to go.
03:21:32.000 As of this morning and then this afternoon, The message came down from the White House that we were still on.
03:21:38.000 So, all the other deadlines got pushed back a couple of days before, you know, 48, 24 hours before, and it didn't seem that serious.
03:21:47.000 And Trump was giving room for diplomacy to happen, for these intermediaries to maybe find a way to make it work with Iran.
03:21:57.000 But as of this afternoon, it seemed like we were ready to go.
03:22:00.000 And there were reports that B 52 bombers had flown past the United Kingdom on their way to the Middle East.
03:22:07.000 And so, It seemed like it was go time.
03:22:10.000 It was serious.
03:22:11.000 This is the real deadline.
03:22:13.000 Trump was actually going to enforce it.
03:22:15.000 And this was going to be the big one.
03:22:18.000 I said it last night.
03:22:19.000 I said it this morning.
03:22:20.000 If Trump followed through and it was looking like he would, then not only would Iran be leveled, because Iran has already been bombed 13,000 times, probably thousands more times at this point.
03:22:33.000 That number's from last week.
03:22:35.000 Trump, or rather, Iran has already been bombed.
03:22:39.000 Over 10,000 times.
03:22:40.000 We've hit everything.
03:22:42.000 And so, if Trump is serious about this civilization killing strike, this was going to be catastrophic.
03:22:50.000 And then that wouldn't be the end of it. 0.56
03:22:54.000 Necessarily, Iran would then retaliate against all the countries in the Gulf, including and especially Saudi Arabia.
03:23:01.000 So, you would not only have this biblical attack on Iran, maybe up to and including their energy infrastructure, which would further constrain the supply of oil.
03:23:12.000 And totally inhibit the ability of any successor regime to stabilize the country, probably would send Iran down the path of failed state status with nearly 100 million people. 0.64
03:23:25.000 But then, on top of that, Iran would deliver a crushing blow then against all of the Persian Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, usual suspects. 0.77
03:23:37.000 And so the effect would only be compounded.
03:23:40.000 So we were staring down the barrel of a very serious situation here.
03:23:45.000 And it was only at the last minute, like I said, At about 5 30 p.m. Central Time, it was announced that there was a ceasefire effective immediately.
03:23:58.000 And so this came out on True Social.
03:24:00.000 It was first announced by the president.
03:24:03.000 He said that after discussions with the Pakistani prime minister and some of their other government officials, that Iran and the United States had come to an agreement for a two week ceasefire.
03:24:15.000 Now, here are the terms.
03:24:17.000 They're saying that once again, in reality, this is actually another deadline extension.
03:24:24.000 Trump is saying that we're going to pick up the fighting in two weeks.
03:24:29.000 We're delaying the biblical strike another two weeks. 0.97
03:24:33.000 Properly understood, this is another extension.
03:24:37.000 What makes it different is that there is the truce, there is a ceasefire.
03:24:42.000 We will not bomb Iran, and Iran has pledged not to bomb shipping in the Strait, the Gulf countries, Israel, U.S. bases.
03:24:51.000 But Trump is saying you got two weeks, and after that two weeks, we expect that there will be a deal.
03:24:59.000 And if there isn't a deal, then we're going to pick up where we left off and resume hostilities.
03:25:04.000 And this was the deal that was announced at about 5 30.
03:25:07.000 And so the civilization killing strike was averted at basically the last minute.
03:25:14.000 It seems that we were on the move and we simply called back the bombers because this agreement happened.
03:25:22.000 But as far as the details are concerned, we're not really sure exactly what they are.
03:25:27.000 What Trump announced is that for two weeks, we are not attacking Iran.
03:25:32.000 As long as they open up the Strait.
03:25:34.000 Now, he has said since on True Social that we are effectively ceding control over the Strait to Iran. 0.96
03:25:42.000 So don't make a mistake here. 0.94
03:25:46.000 They are opening up the Strait, they are retaining control over the Strait.
03:25:52.000 So we are not going back to the status quo from before the war.
03:25:56.000 What Trump and Iran are saying is that as long as the United States does not bomb Iran, Iran will not bomb shipping in the Strait.
03:26:06.000 And they will facilitate the safe transit of tankers and cargo ships through the strait without being attacked.
03:26:14.000 However, this is being done under the jurisdiction and supervision of the IRGC and its navy.
03:26:23.000 And they are charging a toll.
03:26:25.000 So they are opening up the strait, but they still control the shipping.
03:26:30.000 And to that end, they're charging money.
03:26:34.000 They are determining how many ships will flow through the strait on a given day.
03:26:38.000 And what it looks like right now is 10 to 20 tankers will go through the strait every day.
03:26:43.000 And each of those tankers will now pay $2 million to Iran.
03:26:49.000 And that money will be split between Iran and Oman because the strait is situated between those two countries.
03:26:56.000 And Iran will use that money to rebuild their country.
03:27:00.000 And apparently, Trump is okay with this.
03:27:03.000 So this is a two week plan deferring further military action to a later date.
03:27:09.000 So, that we will apparently now meet with Iran in Pakistan to hammer out a better, more comprehensive, longer term deal.
03:27:19.000 In the meantime, we've given Iran control over the Strait, so much so that they're going to make money off of it and they're going to reinvest that money in the reconstruction and rebuilding of their country.
03:27:34.000 Now, this is what was announced earlier tonight. 0.85
03:27:36.000 And what's interesting about that is this is a complete and total U.S. defeat.
03:27:43.000 This is an absolute, there is no ambiguity here.
03:27:47.000 It's not debatable, it's not subject to interpretation.
03:27:52.000 We lost decisively.
03:27:56.000 It's like I said, when we got into this conflict, we had about five military objectives here. 1.00
03:28:02.000 And these were the things we were demanding from Iran. 1.00

03:28:07.000 An end to their nuclear program, forfeiture of their highly enriched uranium stockpile, restrictions on their ballistic missiles, restrictions on their support for regional proxies, and regime change. 0.73

03:28:23.000 And so the sixth objective became to wrest control over the Strait or at least open it for shipping.
03:28:31.000 We did not achieve any of those things.

03:28:38.000 We did not suppress or destroy their capability.
03:28:42.000 To build and launch drones and missiles.

03:31:45.000 So this is why, to me, It's sort of a strange agreement because I said last night on the show that a ground operation was likely at some point in time, only because I don't see an off ramp which seems satisfying to the United States and the conditions it laid out.
03:32:08.000 I don't see how there's an off ramp, how there's an agreement that Iran will accept that will satisfy any of the conditions, victory conditions or otherwise, of Trump and the United States.

03:32:47.000 He's going to try to notch a victory, boost morale, so he can credibly clint.
03:32:52.000 Claim, or in reality, in some way, that we ended the war on our terms.
03:32:58.000 If we get a victory, we can say, hey, look, we won and now we're out. 0.95

03:34:23.000 It says The United States and Iran reached an 11th hour ceasefire deal on Tuesday evening, hours after.
03:34:29.000 After President Trump threatened to start wiping out Iran's whole civilization if it did not allow commercial shipping to pass safely through the Strait of Hormuz, Mr. Trump announced the agreement in a post on social media hours after Pakistan, a mediator in the dispute, urged him to stand down from the 8 p.m. deadline that he had set for Iran to accede to his demands.
03:34:51.000 Pakistan proposed that each side observe a two week ceasefire and that during that time, Iran allow oil, gas, and other vessels to proceed unmolested.
03:35:00.000 Through the economically vital waterway.
03:35:02.000 Shortly after the ceasefire announcement, a U.S. official said military strikes against Iran had stopped.
03:35:08.000 And Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arachi said in a statement that the Iranians would cease their defensive operation and that for a period of two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible if coordinated with Iran's military.
03:35:23.000 Israel supports President Trump's decision to stop attacking Iran for two weeks, according to the office of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
03:35:33.000 However, the statement said the ceasefire did not include Lebanon, contradicting an earlier statement from Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif of Pakistan.
03:35:43.000 The ceasefire buys both sides time to try to reach a longer term end to the war, which began at the end of February with the U.S. and Israel subjecting Iran to a withering military assault.
03:35:55.000 Iran accepted Pakistan's ceasefire proposal after frantic diplomatic efforts by Pakistan and last minute intervention by China.
03:36:03.000 A key ally, according to three Iranian officials.
03:36:06.000 Iran's National Security Council officially confirmed the agreement, casting it as a victory in which the U.S. accepted Iran's terms.
03:36:14.000 So here's where it gets a little bit tricky.
03:36:18.000 So a lot of people are saying hip hip hooray, three cheers for Trump.
03:36:23.000 The mad lad did it.
03:36:24.000 It's actually a total American victory. 0.90
03:36:28.000 And don't get me wrong, I think we're all breathing a sigh of relief that Trump did not kill Persia. 0.73
03:36:34.000 And genocide everybody and nuke Iran. 0.97

03:36:41.000 And the way that you can describe what has happened over the past two weeks is this is brinksmanship.
03:36:49.000 Arguably, you could say this is the madman doctrine.
03:36:52.000 This is Nixon's madman theory, which is that Trump is acting crazy, acting erratic.
03:36:59.000 If you think that he's gone insane, well, maybe that's part of the science.
03:37:03.000 Maybe that's actually part of the strategy.
03:37:06.000 This is something that Kissinger and Nixon worked on in the 70s.
03:37:09.000 If you can convince the adversary that you're really going to do it, If you can convince them that you are irrational, if you act erratic, then they might believe that you will accept an irrational exchange of fire.
03:37:26.000 Because remember, the whole strategy about bluffing to destroy Iran is the idea that, you know, why can the United States not escalate against Iran? 0.74
03:37:37.000 Well, because if we bomb their energy or their civilian infrastructure, they're going to do the same thing to the Gulf. 0.92
03:37:42.000 And that is totally intolerable to the United States because it would have. 0.87

03:37:50.000 So, the way that you could say that is it is not rational for Washington to escalate against Iran. 0.71

03:39:46.000 And any student of international relations, anybody that's watching this, would say that's a bluff.
03:39:54.000 He can't do that.
03:39:54.000 He's bluffing.
03:39:56.000 If he bombs Iran's infrastructure, he knows. 0.64
03:39:59.000 He has to know. that Iran will retaliate and do the same thing to Saudi Arabia.
03:40:03.000 And if Iran starts raining missiles on Saudi Aramco and Qatar's LNG, and if they bomb the desalination plant that supplies Dubai and Abu Dhabi, then literally the whole economy melts down.
03:40:16.000 And they still aren't going to open up the straight.
03:40:19.000 So any observer would say he's bluffing.
03:40:22.000 He's not really going to do it.
03:40:24.000 Because if he did that, it would involve these unacceptable losses.
03:40:28.000 That would not be rational.
03:40:29.000 That's not something that Trump can rationally do.
03:40:32.000 He can't nuke Iran.
03:40:34.000 He can't invade Iran.
03:40:36.000 He can't risk a ground operation in Iran. 0.56

03:41:23.000 At the minimum, he had to instill in them doubt.

03:41:33.000 He seems like he's lost it.
03:41:35.000 He's not even celebrating Easter.
03:41:38.000 He seems homicidal, genocidal.
03:41:41.000 He's got these religious zealots around him.
03:41:44.000 Maybe he really thinks he's the Antichrist.
03:41:47.000 He thinks he's the Messiah, and he's really going to wipe out Iran, and he doesn't care if the whole world comes down with it. 0.86
03:41:53.000 You just needed to plant the seed of doubt, and then Iran would say, All right, all right, all right. 0.76
03:41:59.000 We don't want to lose this economic infrastructure because it would have been a mutually assured destruction. 0.84

03:42:46.000 And clearly, that was, in retrospect, we can safely say that was probably the strategy going to the brink, acting erratically, and convincing them that Trump would really cross the line, do the unthinkable, kept them guessing so that they would accept a ceasefire.
03:43:07.000 And that was clearly the MO.
03:43:10.000 Now, where does that leave us right now?
03:43:14.000 Well, like I said, the terms are these it's a two week ceasefire.
03:43:17.000 Trump says we're deferring the enforcement of this ultimatum as long as Iran is going to open up the strait and allow the free passage of ships, free navigation of commercial shipping.
03:43:30.000 But also, it's contingent on another deal that Iran actually has to negotiate an end to the war.
03:43:36.000 And this is where it gets tricky.
03:43:38.000 So the U.S. claims that they agreed, and Iran says they agreed.
03:43:42.000 But Iran is also now saying that the United States has agreed to their 10 point plan.
03:43:48.000 You might remember that as the United States was talking up the peace process, we submitted to them a 15 point plan, which demanded their unconditional surrender, basically.
03:43:59.000 And it demanded that they give up everything missiles, centrifuges, enriched uranium, support for the proxies, the Strait of Hormuz. 0.66
03:44:08.000 And Iran was never going to consider that, much less accept it.
03:44:13.000 Iran countered with a 10 point plan of their own, which was just as maximalist.
03:44:18.000 Iran wanted the United States to close all our military bases and give them reparations and promise to never attack them again and give them the Strait of Hormuz and allow them to charge money for all the shipping that goes through the Strait.
03:44:32.000 And this deal, although it was sort of shocking, Trump said it was a step in the right direction, even though, again, Iran is making these huge demands.
03:44:43.000 Now that this ceasefire is in place, the Iranians are claiming that the U.S. has agreed to this 10 point plan.
03:44:50.000 And this 10 point plan, which appears to be somewhat modified, says a lot of the same things. 0.72
03:44:55.000 This new 10 point plan says the United States doesn't have to pay reparations to Iran, but Iran is going to control the strait.
03:45:04.000 And Iran is going to enforce rules of engagement in the strait. 0.70
03:45:08.000 And Iran is going to charge a toll. 0.62
03:45:10.000 And they're going to share the revenue from the strait with Oman. 0.71
03:45:13.000 And they're going to use the revenue from the strait to rebuild their country in lieu of reparations.
03:45:20.000 And it sounds like Trump has agreed to this aspect of it.
03:45:23.000 But Iran also says that the United States has agreed that they can enrich uranium.
03:45:29.000 Now, the U.S. denies that that's true.
03:45:32.000 But this is also part of this 10 point plan that Iran claims we accepted.
03:45:37.000 So there's some things that Trump has agreed to in this plan, there's other things that we don't.
03:45:42.000 Iran says we accepted the whole thing, it's an unconditional surrender.
03:45:46.000 We gave them everything they wanted. 0.75
03:45:48.000 The United States does acknowledge we are giving them the straight for now.
03:45:52.000 We are going to let them charge the toll, and they are going to use that to rebuild their country as a form of reparations. 0.85
03:45:59.000 Iran says we have a right to enrich uranium.
03:46:02.000 The United States doesn't agree to that.
03:46:06.000 And this is the other big one.
03:46:09.000 In this 10 point agreement, it says that Israel will stop bombing Lebanon.
03:46:14.000 Well, we haven't talked too much about this, but this is another major theater in the conflict.
03:46:19.000 There's about a million people that have been displaced because Israel has been striking Lebanon hundreds, thousands of times in southern Lebanon, but also in the capital in Beirut.
03:46:30.000 And so this has displaced a significant percentage of Lebanon's population.
03:46:34.000 Israel's launched extensive ground operations inside the country.
03:46:38.000 And they're pushing in with columns of tanks and lots of ground troops.
03:46:44.000 And so, this 10 point plan says that Israel is now done fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon.
03:46:50.000 And just like some of these other points of the deal, Israel says, We don't agree to that.
03:46:55.000 We never agreed to a ceasefire with Lebanon.
03:46:58.000 And so, now you wonder what exactly was agreed to here?
03:47:03.000 Is it just the two week ceasefire?
03:47:06.000 Because the two week ceasefire seems to include that Iran controls the Strait and charges money.
03:47:12.000 But Iran says, no, no, it's not just the two weeks in the Strait. 0.57
03:47:16.000 We also have this 10 point program that the U.S. and Israel agreed to, and it includes we get to enrich uranium and they're not going to fight Hezbollah anymore.
03:47:25.000 But the U.S. and Israel say, we didn't agree to either of those things or some of the other points in the program.
03:47:32.000 Well, if they don't agree to that, do we have a deal?
03:47:35.000 If Israel carries on their war with Lebanon, will Iran keep their end of the bargain and not close shipping in the Strait?
03:47:46.000 Nobody knows.
03:47:47.000 We don't know.
03:47:48.000 We don't know the terms of the deal.
03:47:51.000 And already that seems to be being tested because as we speak, Iran is still launching missiles at the Gulf countries.
03:47:59.000 And they're saying that, well, maybe these commanders or decentralized nodes in the IRGC maybe they have their orders to hit the Gulf and they didn't hear about the ceasefire before they launched a strike.
03:48:12.000 And so it's going to take some hours for this ceasefire to settle, so to speak.
03:48:18.000 But Israel is currently bombing Iran right now.
03:48:21.000 The U.S. and Israel were bombing Iran heavily right up until the ceasefire was declared.
03:48:26.000 And now Israel continues to bomb Iran.
03:48:28.000 So, did Israel agree to a ceasefire?
03:48:31.000 Because this is not just a U.S. war, this is a U.S. Israel war.
03:48:35.000 They've been responsible for a significant amount of the strikes, too. 0.52
03:48:39.000 And in particular, the strikes on energy and on command and control.
03:48:45.000 So, is Israel part of the deal?
03:48:49.000 Another question.
03:48:50.000 If the US and Israel did not agree to let Iran enrich, if we did not agree to a ceasefire in Lebanon, then will Iran hold up their end of the bargain with the Strait?
03:49:03.000 These are some questions that need to be answered, I would think, in the next 12 to 24 hours, if we even really have a deal.
03:49:09.000 Now, let's say that all of those things outstanding, all those things, I should say, notwithstanding, let's just talk about this two week ceasefire. 0.92
03:49:20.000 Let's talk about this idea that Iran will open up the strait and they'll charge money, and the U.S. is okay with this.
03:49:27.000 And in the meantime, the U.S. will not hit Iran.

03:49:37.000 So, what's really going on here with this two week truce?
03:49:41.000 Well, here's the thing about this.
03:49:43.000 Like we talked about before, the U.S. has not achieved any of its objectives.
03:49:47.000 Why did we even get here?
03:49:49.000 Well, if you'll recall, we got here, we could go way, way back, but let's just go back a year.
03:49:57.000 We got to this point because Israel attacked Iran last year.
03:50:01.000 Iran, because of the fallout of the withdrawal of the United States from the Iranian nuclear deal, Iran is enriching uranium very close to weapons grade uranium levels.
03:50:14.000 And they have a lot of highly enriched uranium.
03:50:18.000 The Israelis claim almost 1,000 pounds or 1,000 tons.
03:50:22.000 I don't know how you measure that actually.
03:50:24.000 But they have, I think it's 1,000 pounds of highly enriched uranium, enough for nine or 10 nuclear bombs. 0.64
03:50:34.000 And as long as Iran is not a part of the JCPOA, as long as they are not under IAEA inspections, And as long as they have this breakneck pace of nuclear enrichment, then we have to assume on some level that they are either creating the material for a nuclear bomb or they're making a nuclear bomb. 0.72

03:51:11.000 Then the US and Israel have to assume, again, they're either making the material, the fuel for a nuclear device, or they're racing towards a bomb.
03:51:19.000 And so last year, Israel intervenes to destroy their nuclear program, and they need our help to bomb those facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, which are fortified underground.
03:51:32.000 Well, the second that we and Israel intervened and did this, what we actually did was we accelerated the process. 0.63

03:52:34.000 They've almost replenished it to the levels before the war that happened last June, the 12 day war.
03:52:40.000 And soon they're going to have so many missiles, they're going to preemptively attack us. 0.68

03:54:00.000 Well, if they didn't trust us before, they trust us less now.
03:54:05.000 If they didn't believe in diplomacy before, they certainly believe in diplomacy less now.
