02:54:42.000It's actually not a new development, but it's a brand new report about what was happening during the U.S. Iran negotiations earlier on in the U.S. Iran war.
02:54:53.000And so our featured story tonight is about a New York Times exclusive report, and it says that while the United States and Iran were negotiating at the height of the Iran war, Israel was secretly plotting.
02:55:06.000To assassinate the lead Iranian negotiators to blow up the peace process.
02:55:11.000And this is a story, we're gonna go through it and then we'll talk about what it means.
02:55:16.000It says, quote, U.S. officials believe that Israel might have been plotting to kill Iran's top negotiators while Washington was engaged with Tehran in delicate talks this spring to reach an interim peace deal, according to current and former American officials.
02:55:35.000Killing senior Iranian leaders had been part of Israel's strategy from the start of the war, but American concerns about the targeting of two particular Iranian officials, Abbas Aragshi, Iran's foreign minister, and Mohammed Halibaf, The Speaker of the Parliament spiked during delicate ceasefire negotiations that began in April.

02:56:52.000And while the U.S. wanted a peace agreement, Israel has been skeptical from the initial cessation of hostilities in April.
