00:08:15.000 I think it was because I fiercely came out during the Groeper Wars of 2019 when so many of these brave young men were on college campuses challenging the likes of Zio Schill, Dan Crenshaw, questioning him about his undying loyalty and, of course, defending Nick Fuentes and so many of the stars of the burgeoning America First movement, who, through an increasing amount of activism, are really going to ensure the future and the success of that movement.

00:27:15.000 And I will not encourage my followers to turn out in November to vote for this or campaign for this.
00:27:23.000 It is not an unreasonable demand to say that we will not vote for a candidate that promises to import more legal immigrants.
00:27:33.000 And it is not unreasonable because for the first time in 20 years, it is the majority opinion that there are too many legal immigrants coming into the country.

00:31:18.000 And then it also actually includes, for people that have not been following how this schedule has been evolving over the past few days, There is also an event at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., where apparently President Trump is hosting an event and is expected to sign executive orders.

00:31:45.000 They're not hosting the inauguration at the Capitol building outside.
00:31:50.000 They say because of the weather, although many people speculate it's because of security concerns.
00:31:58.000 Instead, they're hosting it inside the Capitol Rotunda, where there's a significantly limited audience.

00:32:09.000 They canceled the inaugural parade.
00:32:13.000 And instead, it seems they're opting for an indoor event at the Capital One Arena, hockey arena.

00:35:34.000 It was announced late last week that the inauguration would be moved inside the rotunda, but there were rumors up until this morning that it would be held inside the White House, which would be completely unprecedented.

00:37:33.000 But when you look at county by county, every single county shifted to the right.

00:37:48.000 This is the same Capitol that Trump supporters raided four years ago.

02:11:36.000 His speeches, at least in the final months of the campaign, were not as incisive or divisive as they used to be.
02:11:48.000 And specifically after the RNC this summer, last summer in July, the New York Times praised Trump's tone.
02:11:57.000 They said that it was a departure from his previous rhetoric, that he went from American carnage to unity in our future together.
02:12:07.000 And they were writing in anticipation of the speech that this inaugural would continue that departure.
02:12:14.000 If you remember in Trump's first inaugural in 2017, he had a very famous line.

02:12:23.000 He said, abandoned factories are like tombstones across the landscape.
02:12:29.000 And that phrase, American carnage in particular, the media seized on that and said that was emblematic of a very dark tone.

02:12:41.000 Like I said, I think in the past year, the media has been conditioning Trump to be more unifying and sunny and optimistic.
02:12:52.000 And so they said his inaugural specifically would be a departure from that phrase, from the first one.
02:12:58.000 So I was thinking this speech wasn't going to be good.
02:13:00.000 I was thinking it was going to be in line with his RNC speech and some of the other rhetoric.
02:13:06.000 But, I mean, he really went in.
02:13:08.000 There was a little bit of that.
02:13:10.000 But for the most part, it was classic Trump.
02:13:12.000 And in particular, he really went at the political establishment, which is classic.
02:13:20.000 So it was anti-establishment.
02:13:22.000 But it was also very heavy on those nationalist themes, like I said.

02:13:33.000 American identity and nationhood.
02:13:36.000 So for those reasons, I liked it.

02:13:42.000 Like I said, hit the political establishment really hard, characterized himself as a departure not merely from the left, but from the past 30 years of post-Cold War presidents.
02:13:56.000 And then again, reiterating those other themes about our identity as a nation, sovereignty, independence, those are very important words in the context of globalization.
02:14:08.000 Now, here's where it falls apart a little bit for me.
02:14:11.000 In terms of policy, it's all the stuff that we have come to expect.
02:14:16.000 Border security, energy, some focus on technology, government efficiency, that sort of thing.
02:14:28.000 The foreign policy stuff was actually surprisingly good.
02:14:31.000 He talked about not getting into foreign wars.
02:14:33.000 Didn't even really talk about Israel specifically.
02:14:39.000 And reducing inflation and trade.
02:14:42.000 Here's the thing.
02:14:44.000 You got to keep in mind that the core issues that Trump was elected on.
02:14:49.000 I'm going to turn this music off because it's super annoying.
02:14:52.000 The core issues that Trump got elected on in 2016 were these.
02:14:57.000 Immigration, foreign policy, and trade.
02:15:00.000 Specifically, an America first immigration policy that meant building a border wall.
02:15:06.000 A physical, real, 30-foot tall concrete wall, the specifications for which were revealed in 2018, that extends to at least 1,000 out of 2,000 miles of the southern border.
02:15:19.000 But it also means mass deportations.
02:15:21.000 It also means even reducing legal immigration.
02:15:25.000 On foreign policy, it was about ending America's involvement in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and even...
02:15:34.000 Reducing the reliance on the United States by South Korea, Germany, the NATO alliance.
02:15:40.000 And then finally, on trade, it was about creating a robust and thorough trade program called industrial policy.
02:15:52.000 That means that tariffs are here to stay.
02:15:55.000 It means they're a systemic part of our economy.
02:15:59.000 And the reason I say that is because that's actually not how they were treated in the first term under Biden or the Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, doesn't think about it this way.
02:16:11.000 Here's where there's been a departure in this inaugural address and in the recent campaign.
02:16:17.000 On immigration, you'll notice Trump doesn't talk about a border wall anymore.
02:16:22.000 It's just not even part of the conversation.

02:16:26.000 He didn't campaign on a border wall.
02:16:28.000 There was no indication of a physical structure.
02:16:32.000 When he's talking about border security, which I believe he'll do, he will implement executive orders like Remain in Mexico, which is migrant protection protocols.

02:16:42.000 I believe he will do that, and he will reduce encounters at the border.

02:16:50.000 Trump did that in his first term.
02:16:52.000 He did it way too late.

02:16:58.000 But it was undone on day one by Joe Biden.

02:17:13.000 Because when you build a border wall, The next administration is not going to take a wrecking ball to the border wall.
02:17:20.000 If you do executive orders, if you only do enforcement, the next administration can simply stop enforcing.

02:18:59.000 Will he withdraw us from Iraq?

02:19:09.000 Trump now says that he wouldn't have fully withdrawn us from Afghanistan.

02:21:44.000 Or, alternatively, Are we going to implement tariffs as a bargaining chip to secure bilateral trade deals?

02:21:55.000 And that is what Scott Besant, the Secretary of the Treasury, wants to do.
02:22:00.000 That is what Trump's cabinet wants to do, just like the first time.

02:22:10.000 Trump wants to make tariffs part of our economy.

02:22:25.000 But the people that he brings on in the first term and in the second term, they don't think about it that way.

02:22:41.000 To get trade deals or for political purposes, and they will quickly be removed.
02:22:47.000 And that's a conflict of vision.

02:22:54.000 And the reason that Trump likes tariffs is because tariffs can be applied unilaterally.

02:23:03.000 To appropriate money for a wall, you need to go through Congress and then the courts like when he tried to get the money from the DOD.
02:23:10.000 With immigration, you have to go through Congress.
02:23:12.000 With trade, he can implement the tariffs by himself, and I think that's why trade is the strongest issue.
02:23:18.000 But again, we'll see if the cabinet follows through.

02:23:25.000 Some of these issues, he's not as strong on as he was the first time.

02:23:43.000 And being a non-interventionist or something like having an America First foreign policy, I support that.

02:23:59.000 Some of these issues, he's stronger on than others.
02:24:01.000 His entire cabinet is against him on all of those.

02:24:06.000 Because in politics, personnel is policy.
02:24:10.000 So we have a great president, and he seems mostly aligned, but the people that he selected and appointed to run his cabinet are really not aligned on any of that.
02:24:21.000 And if they are running these departments and agencies, they get to affect the policies.
02:24:27.000 And so now the question is, has Trump learned from his mistakes the first time?
02:24:33.000 Already, I would say, if I were to bet now, no.
02:24:37.000 Because his appointments are all terrible.
02:24:40.000 Mike Waltz, his national security advisor, is like a neocon.
02:24:44.000 Pete Hegseth, the Secretary of Defense, neocon.

02:24:51.000 Our DHS Secretary, Kristi Noem, is not a border hawk and she's not strong.

02:26:10.000 Everything he's been through, everything we've been through, I've been through in this movement, I have a lot of sentimentality and a deep attachment to him and to this movement.

03:21:35.000 I didn't vote for Trump.
03:21:37.000 And I didn't vote for Trump because I think that Trump is being used as a vehicle to advance the interests of the regime.
03:21:50.000 And no doubt, we are at an inflection point in terms of technology, in terms of governance.
03:21:57.000 We are, without question, turning a page, at least superficially, on a very left-wing, woke culture.
03:22:05.000 But in many ways, things structurally remain the same.
03:22:09.000 And the big beneficiaries of this administration are going to be the people that paid for it.
03:22:14.000 In 2016, 70% of Trump's donations came from small-dollar donors, which means less than $200.
03:22:25.000 In 2024, that number is 28%.
03:22:29.000 So it went from 70% in 2016...
03:22:33.000 Of all Trump's contributions came from those giving under $200 in 2024, the proportion of contributions that came from small-dollar donors was 28%, a little bit more than half.
03:22:48.000 And if you look at the top 10 individual donors by dollar amount, in 2016, almost all of them were Democrats.

03:23:51.000 They will benefit in the form of favorable treatment for Israel.
03:23:56.000 And so I continue to believe that the big beneficiaries of this administration will be the tech oligarchs that bought in with Trump, the state of Israel, Wall Street.
03:24:08.000 We're talking about corporate tax cuts.
03:24:11.000 We're talking about the energy lobby, oil and gas lobby benefiting immensely.
03:24:18.000 We're talking about Trump underwriting the expansion of the state of Israel.
03:24:23.000 We're talking about government contracts for Palantir, SpaceX, Star Shield, all these different programs under Elon Musk.
03:24:36.000 And I think, again, the revolutionary fervor of the first Trump campaign, which was about opposing the establishment, about nationalism, I think that is basically being steered.
03:24:49.000 There's a Pied Piper effect.
03:24:52.000 Trump's cult-like following, which he developed with the nationalist populist message, that energy is being rerouted, certainly away from anything revolutionary, back into the establishment for the benefit of billionaires.
03:25:07.000 And Trump is being used as a vehicle for that.
03:25:09.000 It's like private equity.
03:25:11.000 They recognized that Trump was facing jail or an assassination at the end of his political career.
03:25:18.000 I think they saw that...
03:25:20.000 There was a good chance for Trump or the Republicans to win the White House.
03:25:24.000 I think they bought him at his lowest, and now they expect to benefit immensely.
03:25:29.000 And I think anybody that's arguing to the contrary that Trump is actually going to be energetic and independent and he is going to rout these people that he's hired or the people that bought his campaign, it's belied by the fact that that is who he is.

03:25:54.000 He's actually going to turn now that he doesn't have to worry about re-election and he's going to outmaneuver the billionaires and the bureaucrats.

03:27:06.000 But if the center-right pushes too far, if they overplay their hand, and I think they will, if there's failures, I don't think there's enough time for the center-left to recoup.
03:27:17.000 I think that in 2028, there's an opportunity for genuine radicalism to come from the right or the left, and I think that's beneficial.

I think that if the – let's say Trump sucks or is mediocre, and then if Vance gets in and he's terrible, If they infringe on our liberties, if artificial intelligence creates tremendous disruption in society, then maybe by 28 or 32, we could see something really fresh and really radical.
