00:11:19.000 What's up?
00:11:21.000 But we're gonna be having a fun stream today.
00:11:24.000 We're gonna be watching the DeSantis vs Haley debate from last night.
00:11:29.000 I didn't even know there was one.
00:11:32.000 Did you guys know?
00:11:33.000 Because I honestly had no idea.
00:11:36.000 And I have been scouring the internet for news for like the past two weeks, and I had no idea there was a debate last night.
00:11:45.000 I thought it was over, because the RNC stopped hosting them.
00:11:48.000 After the fourth one, the last one in December, the RNC said they're not hosting them anymore, but I guess the network went ahead with the scheduled debate.
00:11:59.000 So CNN went ahead with the debate, but the RNC didn't do it.
00:12:05.000 But I had no idea!
00:12:06.000 I had no idea they were even doing one.
00:12:09.000 And so I totally missed it.
00:12:11.000 And I was, of course, I was late to my show.
00:12:13.000 I was like 100 hours late.
00:12:16.000 But I didn't even know they were doing a debate.
00:12:19.000 I guess it was 8 o'clock last night.
00:12:22.000 But we'll be watching it this morning, really just for fun.
00:12:27.000 And, you know, we'll get into it a little bit.
00:12:29.000 The Iowa caucus is this Monday.
00:12:32.000 So that is really when the rubber meets the road and we are on our way to the 2024 election.
00:12:40.000 So Monday I'll be covering the Iowa caucus at 7 o'clock central time.
00:12:46.000 So tune in Monday 7 o'clock central.
00:12:50.000 I'll probably be on even earlier.
00:12:53.000 And we'll be watching the entire Iowa caucus, the whole thing.
00:12:57.000 We'll be talking about it all night, maybe bring on some guests.
00:13:00.000 And it's gonna be a lot of fun, and of course that's the first election, the first contest that will be held in this cycle.
00:13:11.000 And it'll be very interesting to see how everybody performs, because this'll be a good barometer for
00:13:19.000 I don't know.
00:13:37.000 As far as I know, that's the only state where he has a ground game, that's where he spent a lot of his money, he's been touring the whole place for months now, because he really knows that for him to be viable, he's got to have a good performance in Iowa.
00:13:51.000 He's not going to have as strong of a performance in New Hampshire, which is next, or Nevada, or South Carolina.
00:13:59.000 Those are the first four states in the primary, and then you got Idaho and Michigan, and then you got Super Tuesday.
00:14:07.000 And at the end of Super Tuesday, like half of the delegates have been allocated.
00:14:12.000 So out of the early states in January and February, which is Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina, DeSantis is really only supposed to perform well in Iowa.
00:14:23.000 Because New Hampshire is not very conservative, Nevada's Trump country, and South Carolina is Nikki Haley's home state.
00:14:32.000 So, out of the first four, in the first two months, the only state that he can really compete with Trump in, theoretically, is Iowa, because it's much more conservative, it's much more Christian and evangelical.
00:14:46.000 And so the idea is that if he can reach a liftoff capacity in Iowa,
00:14:54.000 Then that'll help his performance in the rest of the early states and more specifically for Super Tuesday.
00:15:00.000 That was the DeSantis strategy, but it hasn't been working because he has failed to break out in Iowa.
00:15:07.000 If you look at any of the polls, he's at like 12% and he's tied with Nikki Haley.
00:15:12.000 And he spent like 70 million dollars in the state.
00:15:15.000 So... And I think in the whole race, but... So he has not been...
00:15:23.000 Performing in the polls, so that's why Monday.
00:15:25.000 That's really looking for we're looking to see how well the Santas Performs because if he does well He's viable if he does poorly he's out like he's done He will probably drop out of the race in shame if he doesn't if he if he really does poorly in Iowa So we're watching for that.
00:15:45.000 We're watching for Trump's performance even a little bit with Haley see how you know if she's gonna be viable and
00:15:53.000 And then maybe we'll see if Vivek does better than expected.
00:15:55.000 But that's what we're looking for.
00:15:57.000 This was the last debate before Iowa, and it was just DeSantis and Haley.
00:16:02.000 No Vivek.
00:16:02.000 They kicked him out.
00:16:04.000 He did too well in the last one, so they kicked him out.
00:16:09.000 So, that's what we're looking for.
00:16:11.000 But let's get into it!
00:16:13.000 We'll start watching the debate.
00:16:14.000 Like I said, I don't have a ton of time, so I'll probably finish this and then wrap it up.
00:16:18.000 And also, last thing, I will be debating Gavin McInnes and this Kabbalistic Jew tonight at 9 o'clock Central Time.
00:16:29.000 So instead of doing my show tonight, it's going to be a huge debate.
00:16:33.000 It'll be on Elijah Schaeffer's Rumble channel.
00:16:36.000 It's me and Vince James versus Gavin McInnes and this Kabbalistic Infowars Jew.
00:16:44.000 And that's tonight, nine o'clock central.
00:16:46.000 It's gonna be good!
00:16:48.000 This is gonna be exciting!
00:16:50.000 Sparks are gonna fly, it's gonna be hype, and it's gonna be a lot of fun.
00:16:54.000 And man, I mean, these are sick people.
00:16:58.000 These Kabbalist Jews, they're sick people.
00:17:01.000 They hate our religion.
00:17:02.000 They hate Jesus, they hate Catholics, and so I really can't wait.
00:17:07.000 I've been watching all morning, the Kabbalist did an interview with Adam Green, the pagan atheist, and I was watching this debate and man, you would not believe the things he was saying.
00:17:22.000 But it really shows that in the world you've got the Antichrist and you've got Christ.
00:17:30.000 And the Antichrist is a devil and it's the Jews.
00:17:34.000 And the Christ is God and the Catholics.
00:17:38.000 And these are really the forces of history.
00:17:42.000 These are really the forces that are driving history is Catholics and Jews battling it out for the soul of humanity.
00:17:53.000 And you know it because when you listen to these mystical Jews, they just hate Catholics.
00:17:58.000 They don't really care about Protestants.
00:18:02.000 It's Catholics they hate.
00:18:03.000 They hate Rome.
00:18:06.000 So don't even listen to me.
00:18:07.000 A lot of people say, oh, the Vatican sucks.
00:18:09.000 Oh, Catholics suck.
00:18:11.000 Hey, don't even take it from me.
00:18:13.000 Take it from the Jews.
00:18:14.000 The Jews hate the Catholics.
00:18:19.000 so anyway but we'll we'll get into all that tonight and more and basically if you're not a catholic you're just kind of with them uh so anyway but let's get into this this is the fifth republican debate we're gonna dive in
00:18:45.000 Live from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, this is the CNN Republican Presidential Debate.
00:18:52.000 We want to welcome our viewers in the United States and around the world watching us on CNN, CNN Max, CNN International, CNN en Español, and CNN.com.
00:19:02.000 Good evening, I'm Jay Tapper, moderating tonight's debate alongside my friend and colleague, Dana Bash.
00:19:07.000 And just five days from now, voters here in Iowa will cast the first votes of the 2024 presidential race.
00:19:14.000 Tonight, the very first one-on-one matchup between top contenders Governor Ron DeSantis and former Governor and U.N.
00:19:22.000 Ambassador Nikki Haley.
00:19:24.000 Former President Trump met the requirements for tonight's debate, but declined to participate.
00:19:29.000 Our commitment in this debate is to provide as much information as possible to voters, especially here in Iowa, before the first contests begin next week.
00:19:37.000 So in choosing topics, we focused on the issues important... Just so you know, Jake Tapper is Jewish.
00:19:44.000 Is Dana Bash Jewish?
00:19:47.000 We just need to get used to just, like, saying that before we do stuff.
00:19:52.000 I just want to double check.
00:19:55.000 Oh, so they're both Jewish.
00:19:57.000 Just so everybody knows, when we watch this debate, this is Jake Tapper, this is Dana Bash, they're both Jewish.
00:20:03.000 Just in case, you know, just in case you were curious.
00:20:12.000 Tapper attended Philadelphia School, a progressive independent school.
00:20:18.000 He enrolled at Akiba Hebrew Academy, an independent Jewish day school.
00:20:24.000 In Marion, Pennsylvania, attended Dartmouth.
00:20:28.000 Just so everybody is aware, okay?
00:20:32.000 Tapper served as Press Secretary for Democrat Congressional Candidate Marjorie Mezvinsky.
00:20:38.000 Is she Jewish?
00:20:42.000 I bet she is.
00:20:44.000 Yeah, she looks Jewish and that's a Jewish last name.
00:20:54.000 Yep, this is her dad, son of Jewish grocery store owner Abe Mezvinsky, born in Russia, mother in Poland.
00:21:07.000 He impeached Nixon, and his daughter gave Jake Tapper his first job, and Chelsea Clinton is her daughter-in-law.
00:21:20.000 Okay, so it's just a big Jewish network.
00:21:26.000 So Jake Tapper went to a Jewish school, was a press secretary for a Jewish candidate whose daughter-in-law is Chelsea Clinton,
00:21:37.000 He also worked for a PR firm, Powell Tate, run by Jody Powell and Sheila Tate.
00:21:44.000 Are they Jewish?
00:21:49.000 I don't think Powell's a particularly Jewish name, but I don't know.
00:21:56.000 You gotta tell me.
00:21:57.000 What about Tate?
00:22:01.000 That doesn't sound like a Jewish name either, but who knows?
00:22:11.000 Anyway, well, let's not get carried away.
00:22:13.000 How about Dana Bash?
00:22:19.000 Attended Pasquick Hills High School in New Jersey.
00:22:39.000 Just want to point that out.
00:22:41.000 Just want to point it out because it's important.
00:22:47.000 She joins CNN's producer programs like Evans and Novak, Inside Politics... Okay.
00:22:55.000 Alright, alright.
00:22:56.000 Whatever, whatever.
00:22:56.000 Let's not get carried away.
00:22:57.000 But so just so you know, they're both Jewish.
00:23:00.000 Republicans, let's bring out the candidates now.
00:23:02.000 Please welcome Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
00:23:14.000 Please welcome former South Carolina Governor and U.N.
00:23:17.000 Ambassador Nikki Haley.
00:23:21.000 I thought they would stop applauding, but it's just because she wasn't on the stage.
00:23:32.000 Candidates, please take your positions behind the podiums while we remind you and our audience of the ground rules.
00:23:38.000 Each of you will have 90 seconds to answer questions, 60 seconds for responses and rebuttals, and 15 seconds for clarifications.
00:23:47.000 Timing lights will remind you when time is expiring.
00:23:51.000 We also remind our audience here in the Sheslow Auditorium at Drake University to be respectful so the candidates can hear the questions and can hear each other.
00:24:00.000 Just hours ago, the Republican field narrowed once again.
00:24:03.000 Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie ended his bid for the presidency.
00:24:08.000 So, with one fewer candidate in the running, let's start with the decision voters here in Iowa are about to face.
00:24:16.000 Governor DeSantis, why should voters who are looking for an alternative to the current frontrunner, former President Trump, vote for you rather than former Governor Haley?
00:24:27.000 Well, to the people of Iowa, good evening.
00:24:29.000 It's great to be in Iowa to have a debate here.
00:24:31.000 Donald Trump's running to pursue his issues.
00:24:34.000 Nikki Haley's running to pursue her donors' issues.
00:24:36.000 I'm running to pursue your issues and your family's issues and to turn this country around.
00:24:40.000 I'm the only one running that's delivered on 100% of the promises that I've made.
00:24:45.000 We've delivered huge victories in the state of Florida, things that Republicans have been asking for for a generation.
00:24:51.000 I'm also the only one running that has beaten the left time and time again.
00:24:55.000 We beat the teachers union on universal school choice.
00:24:58.000 We beat Soros on crime.
00:24:59.000 We beat Fauci on COVID.
00:25:01.000 We beat the Dems on election integrity.
00:25:03.000 And I beat the left by banning China from buying land in the state of Florida.
00:25:08.000 Now, you know, Nikki Haley is running.
00:25:11.000 We don't need another mealy-mouthed politician who just tells you what she thinks you want to hear.
00:25:17.000 His voice is shaking because he's attacking her and his adrenaline is pumping.
00:25:22.000 That's literally what that is.
00:25:23.000 And you know that because his voice was steady until he started attacking her.
00:25:47.000 And then the second that he started attacking her, the second that he started saying the personal stuff, the voice got shaky.
00:25:55.000 And that's, that's your fight or flight response.
00:25:57.000 That's adrenaline.
00:25:59.000 When you, and it's like anything else, it's like if you go into a store and you get in like a confrontation with like a worker or somebody, and your fight or flight response kicks in, or you know, you get in like a fight, that's what that is.
00:26:12.000 Which it's like, what a pussy!
00:26:16.000 I mean, and you know it's that way because it's one-on-one, she's right next to him, like, he's calling her out to her face, there's nowhere to run, can't hide behind the rest of the people, so, I mean, he's literally quivering.
00:26:31.000 Because his fight or flight has been activated because he's like verbally attacking a woman next to him.
00:26:38.000 Which is insane.
00:26:40.000 On the Republican side as deplorables.
00:26:42.000 We don't need a candidate who's going to look down on middle America.
00:26:45.000 We've had enough of that.
00:26:46.000 I'm the only one that's going to be able to lead this country's revival.
00:26:51.000 I'm asking for your support and I won't let you down.
00:26:53.000 Governor Haley, a response?
00:26:55.000 Well, I think this is a time that we know that we need a new generational leader.
00:26:59.000 We have watched our country be in disarray.
00:27:01.000 We see the world on fire.
00:27:03.000 And we need someone who's had executive experience.
00:27:06.000 I've been a two-term governor that took a double-digit unemployment state and turned it into an economic powerhouse.
00:27:12.000 I was at the UN.
00:27:12.000 I dealt with Russia, China, Iran every day.
00:27:16.000 But you're gonna find out tonight that there's gonna be a lot of Ron's lies that have happened.
00:27:20.000 Dude, she's so bad.
00:27:22.000 It's crazy.
00:27:24.000 She's such a MILF.
00:27:25.000 Imagine if we had a MILF as president.
00:27:27.000 I know she's so evil.
00:27:29.000 I know she's just like an evil warmonger slave to Wall Street and the Jews, but like... It's kinda hot.
00:27:35.000 That's so base!
00:27:35.000 She literally bought the domain.
00:27:37.000 That's crazy.
00:27:38.000 I love doing shit like that.
00:27:52.000 ...lies that he's told about me, and you can see where fact checkers say exactly what's gonna happen, and exactly why it's wrong.
00:27:58.000 So it will cover the fact that he's only mad about the donors, because the donors used to be with him, but they're no longer with him now.
00:28:05.000 And that's because he's upset about the fact that his, his campaign is exploding.
00:28:10.000 You're gonna see the fact that he has switched his, um, policy... But she just said that that's exactly what Hillary Clinton said.
00:28:17.000 When she said, oh, your campaign is exploding, that's literally what... Okay, I don't know what this is, by the way.
00:28:25.000 This is super weird.
00:28:26.000 I've never seen that before.
00:28:29.000 Let's just get off of this.
00:28:31.000 But that's word-for-word what Hillary Clinton said in this debate.
00:28:37.000 I'll cut the transcripts.
00:28:39.000 I don't have a transcript.
00:28:41.000 I've been a politician.
00:28:45.000 And so much to rise.
00:28:49.000 You talk about got mimicked and who's my.
00:28:55.000 Because everything he just said is absolutely false, but I'm not surprised.
00:29:00.000 In the first debate, in the first debate, I told people that it would be impossible to be fact-checking Donald all the lives better for people.
00:29:10.000 You can fact-check him, fact-check, fact-check him in real time.
00:29:14.000 Last time, at the first debate, we had, uh, because with the temperament of Joe, it is, uh, it's just awfully good that-
00:29:22.000 I, uh... Clinton, I do... ...of Donald.
00:29:24.000 It is, so I expect... ...not applaud... ...of your handling of... ...there were... ...repeat it, because I want everyone to hear it.
00:29:30.000 That was a mistake... ...is, uh... ...it's also... ...some... ...a year long... ...uh... ...any... ...clariously... ...out of class... ...sum... ...for... ...that word... ...what that letter meant... ...act after... ...was fine... ...e-mails had to do with her... ...I for some... ...and more... ...Congress... ...department... ...that e-mail... ...subpoena... ...the audience... ...private sector... ...a chance here... ...jail... ...let alone... ...look...
00:29:52.000 It's just not true.
00:29:55.000 Well, we turned over 30,000.
00:29:55.000 Well, you talked.
00:29:57.000 Yes, that's true.
00:29:58.000 I didn't.
00:29:58.000 Because you have nothing to say.
00:29:59.000 I didn't in the first debate, and I'm going to try not to in this debate, because I'd like to get to the questions that the people have brought here tonight to talk to us about.
00:30:08.000 And get off this question.
00:30:12.000 Okay Donald, I know you're into big diversion tonight.
00:30:15.000 Anything to avoid talking about your campaign and the way it's exploding and the way Republicans are leaving you.
00:30:21.000 Isn't that weird?
00:30:23.000 That DeSantis said, get this, DeSantis said that Nikki Haley got in the race or got into politics because she was inspired by Hillary Clinton.
00:30:33.000 And then Haley, isn't that a little bit, I know maybe it's a stretch, but isn't that a little bit uncanny that she said word for word
00:30:41.000 Republicans are abandoning you and your campaign is exploding, which is exactly what Hillary Clinton said in that debate.
00:30:47.000 It's the exact... I know, maybe that's a stretch, maybe that you're like rolling your eyes is tedious, but... And that's because he's upset about the fact that his campaign is exploding.
00:30:59.000 You're gonna see...
00:31:00.000 So she says, you're only talking about donors because your donors are leaving you and your campaign's exploding.
00:31:04.000 And that's literally what Clinton said.
00:31:05.000 That's crazy.
00:31:30.000 The fact that he has switched his policies multiple times, and we'll call that out tonight.
00:31:35.000 But every time he lies- Well, and you wonder why that's crazy?
00:31:38.000 It's probably because she studied that.
00:31:41.000 Because if you're a presidential candidate in a presidential debate, what do you do to prepare?
00:31:49.000 You watch the other debates.
00:31:51.000 And which debates do you watch?
00:31:53.000 Well, you watch the recent ones.
00:31:54.000 If you're a woman, maybe you want to watch the only other presidential debate that a woman was in, which, outside of the Democratic primary debates with Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren, it would be the general election debate, Trump and Hillary, in 2016.
00:32:10.000 So, you wonder if she literally lifted that right out of there, or maybe subconsciously.
00:32:15.000 Drake University, don't turn this into a drinking game, because you will be over-served by the end of the night.
00:32:20.000 Well, I think this is interesting, because you can actually go to rondosanus.com, because Nikki Haley has this tactic.
00:32:26.000 If you hold her accountable to her record, first she'll say, I never said that.
00:32:31.000 Well, one good rule of thumb, if she says she's never said something, that definitely means she said it.
00:32:36.000 And then she'll say, you're lying, you're lying.
00:32:38.000 That means not only did she say it, but she's on videotape saying it.
00:32:41.000 And so we have all the greatest hits.
00:32:43.000 The reality is Nikki Haley is not somebody that has been willing to stand in and fight on behalf of conservatives.
00:32:50.000 You know, she ran for governor saying she was going to do universal school choice, and she caved to the teachers union.
00:32:57.000 She didn't deliver that.
00:32:58.000 In Florida, I delivered the largest expansion of school choice in the history of the United States.
00:33:04.000 I beat the teachers union, and you know what the results are?
00:33:06.000 When she was governor of South Carolina, she was rated 50th in education, dead last.
00:33:12.000 You know where Florida is under my watch?
00:33:14.000 Number one in the nation.
00:33:15.000 Your response, Governor Haley?
00:33:20.000 Go to DeSantisLies.com and you can find out for yourself.
00:33:23.000 But why don't we talk about the fact that, if we're going to say this, when Ron was representing Florida, he said that he promised not to raise the debt limit when he got to D.C.
00:33:33.000 Yet he raised the debt limit by hundreds of billions of dollars.
00:33:38.000 He used to support Ukraine.
00:33:39.000 He supported Ukraine when President Obama was in office.
00:33:43.000 Now he's trying to copy Trump and saying that he no longer supports Ukraine and doesn't want to give them foreign aid anymore.
00:33:49.000 He also goes and says that he wants to talk about me insulting Iowans.
00:33:53.000 Iowans know when you're telling a joke.
00:33:55.000 The fact that he's only running in one state is not the way you win president.
00:33:59.000 I'm running in all states.
00:34:00.000 But he should tell Iowans why he authored legislation to ban the renewable fuel standard that's so important to Iowans economy.
00:34:08.000 And the fact that he co-sponsored five different pieces of legislation to get rid of it.
00:34:13.000 And also, then he also said he would never do anything with Social Security.
00:34:17.000 Yet he voted three times to raise the retirement age of Social Security.
00:34:21.000 Thank you, Governor.
00:34:22.000 So if you're going to talk about what you said and what you did, I think you've got your own explaining to do rather than telling lies about... Thank you, Governor.
00:34:29.000 We're going to get to a lot of these issues in the debate.
00:34:32.000 Governor Haley, when Governor Christie dropped out of the race just a few hours ago, he said the most important issue is, quote, the character of the candidate.
00:34:40.000 Governor Christie also said he ran because he knew he would be the only Republican candidate to speak the truth about former President Donald Trump.
00:34:49.000 Do you believe Donald Trump has the character to be president again?
00:34:52.000 Well, I think the next president needs to have moral clarity.
00:34:55.000 I think you need to have moral clarity to understand that it's taxpayer money, not your own money.
00:34:59.000 I think you need to have moral clarity to understand that when you're dealing with dictators in the world that we always have to fight for democracies and human rights and protecting Americans and preventing war.
00:35:09.000 And so when you look at Donald Trump, I have said...
00:35:12.000 I think he was the right president at the right time.
00:35:14.000 I agree with a lot of his policies, but his way is not my way.
00:35:18.000 I don't have vengeance.
00:35:19.000 I don't have vendettas.
00:35:21.000 I don't take things personally.
00:35:22.000 For me, it's very much about no drama, no whining, and getting results and getting them done.
00:35:27.000 So I don't think that President Trump is the right president to go forward.
00:35:31.000 I think it's time for a new generational leader that's going to go and make America proud again.
00:35:36.000 That's what I'm going to try and do.
00:35:38.000 Governor DeSantis, what is your response to Chris Christie?
00:35:41.000 Do you believe Donald Trump has the character to be president again?
00:35:44.000 Well, I'm running because I'm the guy that's going to be able to engineer a comeback for this country.
00:35:48.000 I appreciated what President Trump did, but let's just be honest.
00:35:51.000 He said he was going to build a wall and have Mexico pay for it.
00:35:54.000 He did not deliver that.
00:35:55.000 He said he was going to drain the swamp.
00:35:57.000 He did not deliver that.
00:35:58.000 He said he was going to hold Hillary accountable.
00:36:00.000 And he let her off the hook.
00:36:01.000 He said he was going to eliminate the debt, and he added $7.8 trillion to the debt.
00:36:06.000 So we need to deliver and get this stuff done.
00:36:08.000 And I think the difference between Nikki Haley and me, you know, I listened to all that litany of stuff.
00:36:12.000 You know, I debated the governor of California, Gavin Newsom.
00:36:15.000 You know, I thought he lied a lot.
00:36:17.000 Man, Nikki Haley gives him a run for his money, and she may even be more liberal than Gavin Newsom is.
00:36:22.000 We are in a situation here in Florida...
00:36:25.000 As Republicans, you need somebody... This is just like debate club without Trump in it.
00:36:30.000 It's just like so gay.
00:36:32.000 They're like, you're a liar.
00:36:34.000 No, you're a liar.
00:36:35.000 No, you're more liberal than, you know, and Trump would get up there and be like, hey, shut the fuck up.
00:36:40.000 Hey, Jeb, you little bitch.
00:36:43.000 Remember when, do you remember when he called Joe Biden stupid?
00:36:46.000 Don't ever use that word with me, Joe.
00:36:49.000 And just like talking over him, total bulldoze, like this is amateur hour, this is debate club.
00:36:56.000 ...that is going to be in there and fight for you.
00:36:58.000 And Nikki Haley, anytime the going gets tough, anytime people come down, she caves.
00:37:05.000 When you need someone standing and fighting for you, don't look for Nikki Haley.
00:37:09.000 You won't be able to find her if you had a search warrant.
00:37:12.000 Thank you Governor, Governor Haley.
00:37:15.000 Look, I think I dealt with Russia, China, Iran, North Korea every day.
00:37:19.000 No one ever said I caved.
00:37:20.000 I defended America and I fought for America.
00:37:25.000 But I'll also say this.
00:37:26.000 This is not a time where you have to have pettiness.
00:37:29.000 I wish Donald Trump was up here on this stage.
00:37:31.000 He's the one that I'm running against.
00:37:33.000 He's the one that I wish would be here.
00:37:35.000 He needs to be defending his record.
00:37:37.000 Right now, he's not defending the fact that he allowed us to have $8 trillion in debt over four years.
00:37:43.000 When she talks, I just tune out.
00:37:47.000 She's talking in this sing-songy cadence.
00:37:51.000 And it's just like totally just going right over my head.
00:37:54.000 It's not, it's not engaging at all.
00:37:56.000 I thought people liked Trump because Trump was just like talking to you.
00:38:02.000 Trump, they would, you know, they go from debate club correspondent to debate club person and they're doing this, um, well I believe I'll be elected because I'm the most conservative one and Ron DeSantis, and then Trump would be like,
00:38:18.000 We can't fight two people at one time.
00:38:20.000 We gotta go at ISIS.
00:38:22.000 You gotta knock them off hard.
00:38:24.000 And then you can go for Syria.
00:38:27.000 We went in Iraq.
00:38:28.000 We don't even have it.
00:38:29.000 You can't even go there.
00:38:31.000 Like, he was just talking to you.
00:38:33.000 It's like you go into a restaurant and the guy's like mopping the counter or whatever with a towel.
00:38:39.000 And you're talking to that guy.
00:38:40.000 You're like, hey, what's going on?
00:38:42.000 It's like that guy.
00:38:43.000 The way they're talking, it's just like this speech team
00:38:47.000 Debate team cadence.
00:38:48.000 Trump was like, all right, look, we spent $5 trillion.
00:38:53.000 We don't even have it.
00:38:55.000 You have to take the oil.
00:38:57.000 As if it's that simple.
00:38:58.000 They're like, we invaded Iraq.
00:39:01.000 We didn't even take their oil.
00:39:03.000 And you caused 9-11.
00:39:06.000 I miss it.
00:39:06.000 This is just trash.
00:39:08.000 I miss him.
00:39:09.000 He's the king.
00:39:10.000 He's the king of America.
00:39:28.000 Because I want my kids to have a good future.
00:39:31.000 I want them to have one without debt, one where they can read, one with secure borders, one where we have law and order, and one where America is strong.
00:39:39.000 Thank you.
00:39:39.000 With all due respect, you know, for her to single out Donald Trump on China, look, I think he could have been tougher on him 100%.
00:39:46.000 When Nikki Haley was governor of South Carolina, she was the number one governor in America
00:39:51.000 We're good to go.
00:40:09.000 So that was her number one achievement as governor was bringing China into the state of South Carolina.
00:40:14.000 So you say you're going to look 10, 20, 30 years down the road?
00:40:17.000 Why wasn't she doing that then when people were raising the red flags about it?
00:40:22.000 In Florida, I banned China from buying land in our state and we kicked them out of our university.
00:40:27.000 That's what you need to be doing.
00:40:28.000 We're going to talk about China in a little bit.
00:40:30.000 I want to talk about the economy, which, according to a recent Des Moines Register poll, shows that the economy is the top issue for caucus-goers here.
00:40:40.000 So, Governor Haley, the rate of inflation is down.
00:40:43.000 Prices, though, are still high, and Americans are struggling to afford food, cars, and housing.
00:40:48.000 What is the single most important policy that you would implement as president to make the essentials
00:40:56.000 I think we have to acknowledge that Republicans and Democrats have both done this.
00:41:02.000 I mean, the fact that they've done all of this wasteful spending.
00:41:04.000 They did a $2.2 trillion COVID stimulus bill that expanded welfare that's now left us with 80 million Americans on Medicaid, 42 million Americans on food stamps.
00:41:15.000 That's a third of our country.
00:41:16.000 What I will do is I think it's time we have an accountant in the White House.
00:41:19.000 We have to have someone that respects taxpayer dollars.
00:41:23.000 And we'll start by clawing back $100 billion of unspent COVID dollars that are still out there.
00:41:29.000 We'll go and instead of 87,000 IRS agents going after middle America, we'll go after the hundreds of billions of dollars of COVID fraud, one out of every $7.
00:41:38.000 If 8% of our budget is interest, quit borrowing, cut
00:41:42.000 No, we're good.
00:42:00.000 And then we want to make sure that we allow the middle class to breathe.
00:42:04.000 We're going to eliminate the federal gas and diesel tax in this country, and cut taxes on the middle class, and simplify those brackets.
00:42:11.000 And then we want to make the small business tax cuts permanent.
00:42:14.000 They made corporate tax cuts permanent, but they made small business tax cuts temporary.
00:42:19.000 Small businesses are the heartbeat of America.
00:42:22.000 We need to prove it by making those tax cuts permanent.
00:42:25.000 Governor DeSantis, what's your response?
00:42:28.000 How would you make those essentials more affordable for Americans?
00:42:32.000 Well, I disagree with Ambassador Haley.
00:42:34.000 We don't need an accountant in the White House, we need a leader in the White House.
00:42:37.000 That's what I would say.
00:42:40.000 I've spoken with Iowans, I'm visiting all 99 counties, and also folks all across this country.
00:42:45.000 The American dream is slipping away.
00:42:47.000 People are working hard, they're getting the most out of their God-given ability, they're doing everything right, and they're falling further and further behind.
00:42:53.000 Trying to afford a new home today, your monthly mortgage payment would probably be twice as much as what it would have been if you were starting out
00:42:59.000 Five years ago, we have to make the economy work for those folks.
00:43:04.000 Yes, we're going to battle the spending in Florida.
00:43:07.000 You look and we have the national debt clock going up to 34 trillion.
00:43:10.000 I see it.
00:43:10.000 You did a debt clock for the state of Florida.
00:43:12.000 It would be counting down because we've paid down 25% of our state debt just since I've been governor.
00:43:18.000 That's such a gay line.
00:43:18.000 Shut the fuck up.
00:43:46.000 Not the pale pastels of the warmed-over corporatism of Nikki Haley.
00:43:52.000 Shut up, faggot.
00:43:55.000 Of bold colors, carrying the banner of putting the American people first.
00:43:59.000 Not the pale pastels of the warmed-over corporatism of people like Nikki Haley.
00:44:06.000 Governor Haley, I want to bring you in.
00:44:08.000 Did he think that?
00:44:08.000 I mean, he really thought he cooked with that line.
00:44:10.000 He really thought everyone was going to eat that up.
00:44:12.000 Oh my goodness, that was so great.
00:44:16.000 Pale pastels and bold colors.
00:44:18.000 Dude, we want America first.
00:44:38.000 If you take that money away.
00:44:39.000 Well, first of all, bless his heart, DeSantisLies.com.
00:44:43.000 We have never raised a tax.
00:44:45.000 You tried to.
00:44:45.000 I've never raised a tax at all.
00:44:47.000 You tried.
00:44:48.000 You're on video.
00:44:49.000 Governor DeSantis, she has the floor.
00:44:51.000 So, I can tell you that we killed the gas tax multiple times, but what we said is if you want to raise the gas tax, you have to reduce the income tax by five times that amount.
00:45:02.000 They didn't want to do it.
00:45:03.000 We've killed taxes every step of the way.
00:45:04.000 But if he's going to talk about his economy, I think what we should say is, why does Florida have the highest property insurance in the country?
00:45:13.000 Why is it that it is named the American hotspot for inflation?
00:45:17.000 Why is it that his state is now known to have the highest cost of living increases?
00:45:22.000 And why is it that they're saying senior citizens can no longer afford to live in Florida?
00:45:27.000 So that's the first thing I'll say.
00:45:28.000 We don't need him doing that to our country.
00:45:30.000 When it comes to the gas tax,
00:45:32.000 When we eliminate that federal tax, the money is collected in the states and they send it to the feds.
00:45:37.000 The feds attach a lot of strings to it and send it back.
00:45:41.000 75% comes from the state, 25% comes from the federal government.
00:45:45.000 What they do when they add those strings is they pay for a lot of things that aren't roads.
00:45:49.000 Green spaces, sidewalks, all of those things, but they attach strings.
00:45:53.000 I want that money to stay in the states.
00:45:56.000 I want the states to be able to decide how to spend it.
00:45:58.000 I don't want Washington bureaucrats deciding what we need for scenery and green space and all those other things.
00:46:04.000 I want every state, including the state of Iowa, to make the decisions on how they spend their road spending instead of the federal government.
00:46:11.000 Governor DeSantis, your response?
00:46:13.000 Why can't I?
00:46:28.000 That's on the record.
00:46:29.000 And she even proposed a tax on groceries at one point.
00:46:32.000 But I'm just thinking, have you seen your grocery bill lately?
00:46:35.000 That's one of the things that's hitting working people the most, that groceries are going up probably twice as much what you do.
00:46:42.000 But I also think it's important that we lift people up.
00:46:45.000 So in Florida, we eliminated all sales tax on every baby item.
00:46:50.000 Diapers, wipes, strollers, cribs.
00:46:51.000 We want families to be able to prosper in this country.
00:46:55.000 One of the things that's causing so much problem is the breakdown in the American family.
00:47:00.000 We've done a lot in Florida to be able to rejuvenate that, but we need to make it easier for people to raise children in this country so that we can have strong families in a strong country.
00:47:13.000 At a CNN town hall last week, you said you support a flat tax, which is a single income tax rate for every American.
00:47:20.000 Under your plan, would working families pay the same tax rate as billionaires?
00:47:25.000 I would only do it if people are better off
00:47:28.000 than they are now.
00:47:29.000 I mean, I want people paying less taxes.
00:47:31.000 Actually, if you think, the last year we have numbers for, the federal government took in the highest percentage of taxes from the economy since World War II.
00:47:40.000 And yet, they're going deep into debt.
00:47:41.000 We have a spending problem in this country.
00:47:44.000 It's not a tax problem in this country.
00:47:46.000 And if you had something that was simple and transparent, not only would that be better for economic growth, it's also better to end the weaponization of government.
00:47:54.000 We're good to go.
00:48:24.000 You know what?
00:48:26.000 Let's just watch the Trump town hall instead.
00:48:28.000 I was going to watch that, but I want to watch this instead.
00:48:32.000 Is that okay?
00:48:35.000 Or to, you know, I mean I know I titled the video Trump, uh, you know, DeSantis, Haley.
00:48:41.000 Okay.
00:48:42.000 Ones if we should keep watching this debate.
00:48:44.000 Twos if we should watch the Trump Town Hall.
00:48:46.000 Cause this just sucks.
00:48:48.000 Like this is just boring.
00:48:50.000 I have no interest in this at all.
00:48:52.000 Ones for this.
00:48:53.000 Twos for the Trump Town Hall.
00:48:55.000 Alright.
00:49:01.000 We watch the Trump Town Hall.
00:49:02.000 I've heard enough of that crap.
00:49:04.000 Thank you for being here, Mr. President.
00:49:08.000 We appreciate you making the track.
00:49:09.000 And before we begin, we want to offer our condolences to you and the former First Lady Melania Trump for the loss of her mother last night.
00:49:16.000 Thank you very much.
00:49:17.000 Great woman.
00:49:18.000 Thank you very much.
00:49:19.000 Appreciate it.
00:49:19.000 We do want to note that today there was some breaking campaign news.
00:49:26.000 Take a listen.
00:49:29.000 It's clear to me tonight that there isn't a path.
00:49:33.000 For me to win the nominations.
00:49:36.000 Which is why I'm suspending my campaign tonight for President of the United States.
00:49:41.000 I am going to make sure that in no way do I enable Donald Trump to ever be President of the United States again.
00:49:53.000 So that was the big news.
00:49:54.000 Late today, the former governor of New Jersey dropped out of the race in New Hampshire.
00:49:59.000 You saw it there.
00:50:00.000 There's a lot of speculation now that there could be a combining of forces of the people who supported him.
00:50:06.000 He had about 12 percent there.
00:50:08.000 And by some estimates, you're ahead by an average of 14 in the RealClearPolitics average polling in New Hampshire.
00:50:16.000 So if that 12 goes to Nikki Haley, she could give you a run for your money there.
00:50:22.000 Well, you know, you have Democrats in New Hampshire, and they vote.
00:50:26.000 And you have independents in New Hampshire in large numbers, and they vote.
00:50:30.000 And I have polls that show me leading by a tremendous amount in New Hampshire, and a lot in Iowa.
00:50:36.000 And nationwide, we're leading by almost 60 points.
00:50:39.000 So I'm not exactly worried about it.
00:50:41.000 I understand New Hampshire very well.
00:50:42.000 I've won it twice.
00:50:44.000 And did very well with New Hampshire.
00:50:46.000 I love the people.
00:50:47.000 They love me, I think.
00:50:48.000 We did a good job for New Hampshire economically and even from the standpoint of the military, taking care of the vets.
00:50:55.000 And I think we're going to do very well in New Hampshire.
00:50:56.000 Now, you know, Chris Christie was in, and he got a hot mic I heard about.
00:51:02.000 I thought, actually, the biggest story wasn't the fact that he dropped out.
00:51:05.000 Nobody cared too much about that.
00:51:07.000 He had a hot mic where he was talking to somebody about the weather and he happened to say that she doesn't have what it takes she'll be creamed in the in the election and I mean I know her very well and I happen to believe that Chris Christie's right that's one of the few things he's been right about actually.
00:51:22.000 You don't think it changes the dynamic much?
00:51:24.000 I don't know if it does or not.
00:51:26.000 Look, we're winning tremendously here.
00:51:28.000 Our leader.
00:51:29.000 I think we're 20, 24 points up.
00:51:31.000 I brought some polls if you want to see them.
00:51:32.000 He's got them in the pocket.
00:51:35.000 But New Hampshire's interesting.
00:51:37.000 It's a great place, a great state.
00:51:39.000 Unbelievable people.
00:51:40.000 But they allow independents and Democrats to vote in the Republican primary.
00:51:45.000 You say, what's that all about?
00:51:46.000 So it's a little bit false.
00:51:48.000 He printed them out.
00:51:49.000 Even with that, I think we'll win substantially.
00:51:52.000 Mr. President, we want to get to our first questioner.
00:51:54.000 Robert is an optometrist from Ankeny.
00:51:58.000 Robert, where are you?
00:51:58.000 Do you know which way you're going to caucus on Monday?
00:52:01.000 Yes, I do.
00:52:03.000 Okay, can we ask you?
00:52:04.000 I'm going to vote for the third time for President Trump.
00:52:07.000 Oh, I like him.
00:52:10.000 I knew I liked Robert.
00:52:12.000 What's your question for the former president?
00:52:14.000 I just wanted to say also thank you, President Trump, for your support of the vets.
00:52:19.000 My wife and I and my oldest son are all veterans of the United States Army.
00:52:23.000 We appreciate it.
00:52:24.000 Thank you very much.
00:52:28.000 Some of my friends that supported you in 2020 are not this time.
00:52:33.000 I'm glad you're asking the question.
00:53:00.000 Look at her, she's shaking her head.
00:53:08.000 He's the man.
00:53:08.000 He just dominates the room.
00:53:11.000 I love the little head shake.
00:53:13.000 He's like, yeah, this whole thing's fixed by the way.
00:53:16.000 First question, he's like, yeah, this whole thing is fixed by the way.
00:53:21.000 And they're like, no, it isn't.
00:53:24.000 And he's like, yeah, it is.
00:53:28.000 That went out pretty soon.
00:53:30.000 They have chaos now.
00:53:32.000 They have chaos at the border.
00:53:33.000 They have chaos in the military.
00:53:35.000 People are going, we have the greatest military in the world, except for the top, where they want to turn this beautiful thing we built.
00:53:42.000 We beat ISIS, knocked them out.
00:53:44.000 It was supposed to take four years.
00:53:46.000 I did it in literally three months.
00:53:47.000 It was supposed to take four or five years.
00:53:50.000 But we have chaos now.
00:53:51.000 Look at today with Hunter Biden going into Congress and just sitting down and the bedlam that's been caused.
00:53:58.000 Today you have chaos.
00:54:02.000 We have, I think, more with Joe Biden.
00:54:04.000 He can't put two sentences together and he's representing us on nuclear weapons with Putin and Xi and all of these very smart people.
00:54:13.000 Media hates when I say they're smart.
00:54:15.000 But let me tell you, they're very smart and they're very cunning.
00:54:18.000 And I think he had very little chaos.
00:54:20.000 I think most of the chaos was caused by the Democrats constantly going after me.
00:54:25.000 And remember this.
00:54:26.000 Remember that with phony Russia, Russia, Russia.
00:54:29.000 I mean, if you look at Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine, everything was phony.
00:54:33.000 The FISA warrants, the lying to Congress.
00:54:37.000 They had chaos.
00:54:38.000 They were the ones that caused the chaos.
00:54:40.000 We didn't have chaos.
00:54:40.000 We got the biggest tax cuts in history, the biggest regulation cuts in history.
00:54:45.000 I had no wars.
00:54:46.000 I'm the only president in 72 years.
00:54:48.000 I didn't have any wars.
00:54:49.000 That's my president.
00:54:53.000 That guy was Roman Slater.
00:54:55.000 You see that?
00:54:56.000 Little Roman.
00:54:57.000 Look at that guy, see?
00:55:01.000 And they love that narrative, but they use that narrative because they have nothing else.
00:55:05.000 Now, the new narrative they have, as you know, is I'm going to be a dictator.
00:55:08.000 That's going to be the new narrative.
00:55:09.000 Because a guy like Biden, there's nothing he can run on.
00:55:12.000 Everything he's turned out, it's turned out badly.
00:55:15.000 The border is a disaster, the worst border in history.
00:55:18.000 I think the worst border in the history of the world.
00:55:20.000 We had the best border
00:55:22.000 In the history of our country, we never had a border like that.
00:55:25.000 So I think we had very little chaos.
00:55:26.000 I think we had tremendous success.
00:55:28.000 And frankly, until COVID came along, and then we did a great job on that, too.
00:55:32.000 We never got the kind of credit that I got on the economy.
00:55:34.000 But we had the greatest economy in history.
00:55:37.000 And you take a look at our numbers.
00:55:39.000 The numbers were so much better than they are right now.
00:55:42.000 We had no inflation.
00:55:43.000 We were energy independent.
00:55:45.000 We had so much energy.
00:55:47.000 We were ready to start.
00:55:49.000 Supplying energy, selling energy to Europe, Asia.
00:55:53.000 We would have started to pay down our debt.
00:55:55.000 And then when COVID came along, we had to do a little bit of a course change.
00:55:58.000 But we had an incredible four years.
00:56:01.000 Again, the greatest economy in the history of our country with no inflation.
00:56:06.000 Pretty good.
00:56:08.000 Thank you for your service and for your question.
00:56:10.000 Thank you for being here tonight.
00:56:12.000 One of the things that Ron DeSantis said in a town hall this week was that it might feel good to Republicans to vote for you and support you in the primary, but he felt they shouldn't leave the general election potentially up to 12 jurors in a D.C.
00:56:27.000 court.
00:56:28.000 What do you say to him about that?
00:56:30.000 Well, it's a witch hunt by its weaponization.
00:56:33.000 If you look at it, it's election interference by Biden because he can't win it fair and square.
00:56:38.000 So he's doing that.
00:56:40.000 And interestingly, you see what happened in Georgia with Fannie Willis and a million dollars almost to her boyfriend is the prosecutor of Trump.
00:56:48.000 That one's blown up now.
00:56:50.000 It's horrible what has taken place.
00:56:52.000 But it's very interesting when you look at
00:56:55.000 Ron's numbers.
00:56:57.000 He's practically out of the race.
00:56:58.000 In fact, a lot of people say he's leaving the race after Iowa because he's doing so poorly.
00:57:03.000 He's also doing very poorly, as you know, in New Hampshire.
00:57:05.000 I mean, really poorly.
00:57:07.000 And I'm leading Biden in every single poll.
00:57:10.000 I don't
00:57:33.000 We are doing a great job, and we did a great job, and that's why I'm leading in the polls by 60 and 70 points.
00:57:38.000 You know, in recent days, you seem to issue a warning that if in the courts, and even the U.S.
00:57:43.000 Supreme Court, if they didn't treat you fairly, that maybe there would be bedlam in the country.
00:57:49.000 Use that word, bedlam in the country.
00:57:51.000 And in the last two days, at the same time, in the last two speeches, President Biden is focusing his campaign on the threat to democracy and political violence.
00:58:00.000 Take a listen.
00:58:02.000 I'll say what Donald Trump won't.
00:58:04.000 Political violence is never, ever acceptable in the United States political system.
00:58:09.000 Never, never, never.
00:58:12.000 All right, so to Robert's question, this is clearly a focus of the Biden campaign.
00:58:17.000 So can you say tonight that political violence is never acceptable?
00:58:22.000 Well, of course, that's right.
00:58:24.000 And of course, I'm the one that had very little of it.
00:58:27.000 Take a look at wars.
00:58:28.000 Again, I didn't start.
00:58:29.000 I wasn't involved in wars.
00:58:31.000 We beat the hell out of ISIS.
00:58:32.000 We won 100%.
00:58:34.000 We brought our troops back home.
00:58:36.000 Look at the violence that we've had.
00:58:38.000 Look at the violence we have recently.
00:58:40.000 Right, but when you say Bedlam,
00:58:42.000 What do you mean?
00:58:43.000 I think you have bedlam.
00:58:44.000 I think you look at Joe Biden, it's bedlam.
00:58:46.000 You have a man who can't lead.
00:58:47.000 You have a man who can't find his way off a stage after he makes a speech that lasts for about two minutes.
00:58:52.000 No, I think bedlam is Joe Biden.
00:58:54.000 I think that he's using this.
00:58:56.000 This is just a political ploy.
00:58:59.000 Trump is a dictator.
00:59:00.000 He wants to be a dictator.
00:59:02.000 You know, it's interesting.
00:59:02.000 I did a show with Sean Hannity.
00:59:04.000 Did you ever hear of him?
00:59:05.000 He's a very nice man.
00:59:06.000 And he said, essentially,
00:59:08.000 You're not going to be a dictator, are you?
00:59:09.000 Tell me.
00:59:10.000 I think he was trying to give me a nicer question than maybe you guys would.
00:59:13.000 He meant it very well.
00:59:14.000 I said, I'm going to be a dictator for one day.
00:59:18.000 We're going to do two things.
00:59:20.000 The border.
00:59:21.000 We're going to make it so tight you can't get in unless you come in legally.
00:59:26.000 And the other is energy.
00:59:27.000 We're going to drill, baby, drill.
00:59:28.000 After that, I'm not going to be a dictator.
00:59:31.000 After that, I'm not going to be a dictator.
00:59:34.000 So you weren't saying- No, no.
00:59:36.000 And the press picks it up.
00:59:37.000 So I said, I'm going to be a dictator for one day.
00:59:40.000 They cut it.
00:59:41.000 They go, I'm going to be a dictator.
00:59:43.000 But they cut the rest of the sentence.
00:59:45.000 No, no.
00:59:46.000 I am not going to be a dictator.
00:59:48.000 I will manage.
00:59:49.000 Like we did.
00:59:50.000 We were so successful that the country was coming together.
00:59:55.000 It was actually coming together and coming together well.
00:59:58.000 It was a beautiful thing to see.
01:00:00.000 And we're going to do that again.
01:00:03.000 By the way, that's why I have the poll numbers that I have.
01:00:07.000 Because the people, I think this audience is an example.
01:00:10.000 I mean, I asked a question, I said...
01:00:16.000 How many people came last night?
01:00:17.000 How many people came the night before?
01:00:20.000 And I got a very honest answer.
01:00:22.000 Not many compared to what we have.
01:00:24.000 We had a great crowd and have a great crowd.
01:00:26.000 We want to hear from some more of them.
01:00:27.000 We do have a big crowd tonight.
01:00:29.000 That's absolutely true.
01:00:29.000 So let's hear from Jane Jack, who is a teacher from Rhodes, Iowa.
01:00:34.000 Jane, thank you so much for being here.
01:00:36.000 And you said that you plan to caucus for DeSantis, but you're not completely decided.
01:00:42.000 Is that right?
01:00:43.000 No, I am firmly, I will be caucusing for DeSantis.
01:00:46.000 But I will say, Mr. President, I am extremely grateful that in your first term, you accomplished so many great things.
01:00:53.000 Shut up.
01:00:54.000 But it was also with the help of many great people.
01:00:57.000 Oh, shut up.
01:00:57.000 Since that time, you have publicly criticized and personally demeaned- This is like, this is the face of white suicide.
01:01:05.000 Of white, of you know, these boomer civility cucks that are like,
01:01:11.000 Um, you did a good job, but you don't have the temperament.
01:01:15.000 It's like... Bitch.
01:01:17.000 It's white pride.
01:01:19.000 It's white survival, dude.
01:01:21.000 We do need a dictator.
01:01:22.000 DeSantis?
01:01:25.000 This is why they shouldn't vote.
01:01:27.000 So many of them.
01:01:29.000 If you're given four more years, how will you convince good people to take the risk of working with you?
01:01:35.000 Oh, shut... That's such a female... That's such a woman question.
01:01:40.000 Erm, but you had help, and you can't get along with everybody.
01:01:45.000 She's a teacher, by the way.
01:01:46.000 What, do you think it's a big kindergarten?
01:01:48.000 America's just like a big daycare?
01:01:51.000 You need to get along and play nice with the other.
01:01:53.000 It's a war, bitch!
01:01:55.000 This is a war for the survival of the white race in our country, and you get some female teacher get up and say, how are you gonna convince people to play nice?
01:02:05.000 What do you think this is, recess?
01:02:08.000 Snack time?
01:02:10.000 Sit down, shut the fuck up, and build the missiles.
01:02:15.000 And take care of the house while your husband is building more missiles for Trump's army.
01:02:19.000 I will work for him!
01:02:21.000 I will work for him.
01:02:24.000 Everyone in here will work for Trump.
01:02:26.000 We will all be slaves for Trump.
01:02:29.000 I will go and work for no money.
01:02:31.000 As long as they provide the minimum quality of life, I will go make Stinger missiles
01:02:38.000 For the war against the deep state.
01:02:41.000 Two of the most important people in the military want to come to work for me.
01:02:46.000 Everybody wants to come to work for us.
01:02:48.000 We're gonna have no trouble.
01:02:50.000 We had great people.
01:02:51.000 We had a couple that were not great.
01:02:53.000 Stiffs, as I would call them.
01:02:55.000 But that's true with anybody.
01:02:56.000 He's such a hero.
01:02:58.000 All these, like, lame people from Iowa, and he's from New York, and he's like, they were stiff.
01:03:02.000 We had to get rid of them, you know?
01:03:04.000 I've gotten to know Washington.
01:03:05.000 I've gotten to know the people.
01:03:07.000 I know the best.
01:03:07.000 I know the smart ones, the dumb ones, the weak ones, the strong ones.
01:03:23.000 Let's go.
01:03:53.000 That's not a loyal person.
01:03:55.000 We can't have that.
01:03:56.000 That's not a loyal person.
01:03:58.000 So I think you'll be very impressed with what we're going to do.
01:04:01.000 We're going to have the greatest economy in the world, which we don't right now.
01:04:04.000 We have horrible, horrible inflation.
01:04:07.000 And you know, you're never going to get that 30 percent down.
01:04:10.000 You might even it, but you're not going to get it down.
01:04:14.000 But thank you very much.
01:04:14.000 I appreciate it.
01:04:15.000 Let me just ask you a follow-up on that about who would be in your cabinet, in your administration.
01:04:21.000 If you are the nominee, which I know you expect to be, who would be in the running for vice president?
01:04:25.000 Well, I can't tell you that, really.
01:04:27.000 I mean, I know who it's going to be, but... Give us a hint.
01:04:30.000 I'll give you... We'll do another show sometime.
01:04:31.000 Well, what about any of the people who you've run against?
01:04:34.000 Who would you be over the mending fences?
01:04:35.000 King of America.
01:04:36.000 He's the boss.
01:04:36.000 Oh, sure, I will.
01:04:37.000 I will.
01:04:38.000 He's all of our boss.
01:04:38.000 I've already started to like Christy better.
01:04:40.000 And we all...
01:04:45.000 Christie for Vice President.
01:04:47.000 I don't see it.
01:04:48.000 I don't see it.
01:04:48.000 That would be an upset.
01:04:49.000 Christie for Vice President.
01:04:51.000 Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to announce... I do want to get to this other question before we move on to the big issues.
01:04:58.000 And that is Jacqueline.
01:05:00.000 She is from West Des Moines.
01:05:02.000 And I think you said you're undecided or you're making your decision.
01:05:06.000 That's correct.
01:05:07.000 And do you have a couple people that you're looking at?
01:05:10.000 Trump and Vivek.
01:05:12.000 My question is I would like to know what do you
01:05:19.000 ...plan to do in your next term that you didn't quite get finished during your first term.
01:05:24.000 I love, dude, his visage is so powerful.
01:05:27.000 Look at his face.
01:05:28.000 It's like a statue.
01:05:30.000 Look at his... Look at this iron visage.
01:05:33.000 This is the king of America you're talking to.
01:05:35.000 Scramble!
01:05:37.000 This is the emperor of America.
01:05:39.000 Look at this face!
01:05:41.000 I just want this face on every building, in every classroom, and in every bedroom.
01:05:49.000 Look at this face.
01:05:50.000 Look at this stoic.
01:05:52.000 This is the face of pure determination and American revanchism.
01:05:57.000 If American revanchism, if a giant American fist punching the earth had a face, it would be this face.
01:06:05.000 If the will of a nation, of this nation, of whites, punching through a closed fist, punching the earth, and that fist had a face, it would be that face.
01:06:19.000 Looking down from a six foot three frame at the top of a building.
01:06:27.000 At the top of a golden skyscraper.
01:06:31.000 He's like, it's like a spiritual quality.
01:06:33.000 He's like a, he's, he is truly a mythological hero.
01:06:36.000 Next term that you didn't quite get finished during your first term.
01:06:42.000 Well, one of the things would be energy, even though I set records on energy, but I was going to be energy dominant.
01:06:47.000 We were energy independent, and we had your bills down low.
01:06:51.000 We had your gasoline for the car down to $1.87 a gallon.
01:06:57.000 We had it down even lower than that at some points.
01:06:59.000 Now it's at $4 and $5.
01:07:01.000 That's not acceptable.
01:07:03.000 Your home heating bills are four and five times higher than they were with me.
01:07:07.000 So I'd be doing that.
01:07:08.000 I'd be doing... I'd finish up the wall.
01:07:11.000 You know, we built over 500 miles of wall.
01:07:13.000 That's one of the reasons we had the great... And we got Mexico, by the way.
01:07:19.000 We got Mexico, very importantly, to give us 28,000 soldiers free of charge.
01:07:24.000 That's more money than anybody can even imagine, free of charge.
01:07:28.000 And we also remain in Mexico policy, not remain here, remain in Mexico.
01:07:34.000 So we did a lot of great things, and I would just say we're going to just keep expanding.
01:07:39.000 We rebuilt the military.
01:07:41.000 We even did something that hopefully nobody in this room needs, but Right to Try, where we're able to use space-age medicines that won't be approved for four or five years that work in many cases.
01:07:53.000 And I've saved thousands and thousands of lives with Right to Try.
01:07:57.000 Thank you very much.
01:07:58.000 So we're going to take a quick break.
01:08:02.000 We're going to go talk about the economy when we come back.
01:08:04.000 That is the number one issue in every poll on voters.
01:08:12.000 dude he's so he's the man you forget it sometimes because everyone's more based now but he's still the hero he's still the main character
01:08:25.000 Welcome back to our town hall with former President Donald Trump live from Des Moines.
01:08:31.000 Let's get back to some questions.
01:08:32.000 Yeah, let's get right back to our questions.
01:08:33.000 This one's from Shelly Flockhart.
01:08:35.000 There she is.
01:08:37.000 Hi.
01:08:38.000 Shelly, thank you for coming out tonight.
01:08:39.000 What are you thinking about Monday night and who you're going to support?
01:08:43.000 And what's your question for President Trump?
01:08:46.000 He's sitting right there.
01:08:47.000 Oh, thank you.
01:08:48.000 I knew that.
01:08:50.000 I knew that when I looked at you.
01:08:52.000 Thank you very much.
01:08:54.000 Look at how she lights up.
01:08:56.000 The emperor smiles upon her and her entire world is illuminated for a moment.
01:09:03.000 The question is, you're a business owner.
01:09:05.000 I'm a business owner.
01:09:06.000 I own a small business and time is money.
01:09:10.000 Would you ever allow a shutdown in the future?
01:09:13.000 A shutdown in terms of COVID?
01:09:16.000 Or a shutdown in terms of budget?
01:09:19.000 Because, you know, they're talking about a budget shutdown right now, but you're talking about a COVID shutdown.
01:09:23.000 Correct.
01:09:23.000 No, I wouldn't.
01:09:24.000 And I never did.
01:09:25.000 I let the governors make their decisions.
01:09:27.000 And some of them, like from South Carolina, you know, Henry McMaster and, frankly, North Dakota, a few of them.
01:09:35.000 Tennessee, they didn't shut down at all.
01:09:37.000 Florida did shut down.
01:09:38.000 Ron DeSantis shut down.
01:09:40.000 Or, as he's known, Ron DeSanctimonious.
01:09:44.000 He should have stayed down very violently, actually, and shut the highways down, the roads down.
01:09:49.000 Violently?
01:09:50.000 I'm a Federalist, in a sense, because that's the Federalist way.
01:09:54.000 No, I didn't actually have a shutdown, despite the fact that some people wanted to, and some people didn't want to.
01:09:59.000 But we had some great governors, and the governors that did the best job were Republican governors, and they were the ones that didn't shut down.
01:10:05.000 Thank you very much.
01:10:09.000 Love you!
01:10:09.000 Love you!
01:10:10.000 We love you!
01:10:11.000 We love him!
01:10:11.000 That's so crazy!
01:10:12.000 She said love you!
01:10:18.000 We love our king!
01:10:19.000 We love the King Day!
01:10:20.000 Love you!
01:10:21.000 The people love you!
01:10:22.000 We love the King Day.
01:10:24.000 Would anyone say that to any other leader?
01:10:28.000 Any other president like gay Obama is just like...
01:10:47.000 Okay.
01:10:48.000 But then Trump comes on the stage and, like, our hearts are beating out of our chest.
01:10:53.000 Our world lights up.
01:10:55.000 It's like the morning sun.
01:10:56.000 And we look at him and we're like, we love you.
01:10:59.000 We want you.
01:11:00.000 We want you for America.
01:11:03.000 No one else has this effect because he is... He's the guy, dude.
01:11:09.000 He's the number one man on the planet right now.
01:11:11.000 Characterization of how he handled it.
01:11:14.000 Some faggot in the live chat says, this is turning gay quick.
01:11:16.000 Dude, shut the fuck up, faggot.
01:11:17.000 You're going to hell, you're ugly, your wife is ugly, and you're a homosexual.
01:11:22.000 You don't like Trump?
01:11:24.000 Fuck you, forever.
01:11:39.000 I go by what Dr. Fauci said.
01:11:41.000 He said that two months in, all the way through, and then eventually changed when it wasn't, you know, that wasn't the dessert of the day.
01:11:48.000 But Ron DeSantis was a big Dr. Fauci fan, and nobody wants to cover that.
01:11:52.000 I say it every time.
01:11:54.000 I don't care if he was or not, but, you know, when they hit me with this question,
01:11:58.000 Dr. Fauci was not a huge factor in my administration.
01:12:03.000 He became a much bigger factor in Biden's administration.
01:12:07.000 He was there.
01:12:08.000 He was somebody that was in government for 40 years.
01:12:10.000 He did it for 40 years.
01:12:12.000 That's a long time.
01:12:13.000 And what do I say?
01:12:14.000 You know, you've been doing this for 40 years.
01:12:15.000 Get out.
01:12:16.000 But he wasn't a big factor with me.
01:12:18.000 He was a really big factor after I left.
01:12:22.000 You know, on an economic shutdown, you said this week in an interview that if there's an economic crash, that you hope it happens now.
01:12:32.000 Yeah.
01:12:33.000 That you don't want to be Herbert Hoover.
01:12:35.000 I don't want to be Herbert Hoover.
01:12:36.000 You're not saying you're hoping for a crash, just to be clear.
01:12:39.000 No, I think that... This is just like a hit piece, dude.
01:12:41.000 Red Bear's a liberal, just so you know.
01:12:44.000 I think the economy is horrible, except the stock market's going up, and I think the stock market's going up because...
01:12:52.000 Stock market's going up, and I think the stock market's going up because I'm leading Biden in all of the polls.
01:12:58.000 Every poll.
01:12:59.000 Every single poll for the last... With states that normally are not easy to lead.
01:13:04.000 You know, when you're leading in Pennsylvania, you're leading in Michigan, you're leading in Wisconsin.
01:13:09.000 We're leading in virtually every state of the swing states, and overall we're leading by a lot.
01:13:15.000 Nationwide.
01:13:16.000 But I would say this.
01:13:18.000 We have a situation which I believe the stock market goes up because I'm leading.
01:13:24.000 I think if I wasn't leading, the stock market would be 25% lower.
01:13:28.000 And I think, frankly, if I didn't win, I think the stock market would crash.
01:13:34.000 When there's a crash, I hope it's going to be during this next 12 months because I don't want to be Herbert Hoover.
01:13:38.000 Well, I think there will be a crash if I don't win.
01:13:41.000 And I say that, and I do not want to be Herbert Hoover.
01:13:43.000 Do you know who Herbert Hoover was?
01:13:45.000 1929, he was the president, and that was not a good time to be.
01:13:48.000 I don't want to be Herbert Hoover.
01:13:50.000 And I won't be Herbert Hoover.
01:13:52.000 So with regard to, you know, when Governor Haley was here the other night, she talked about the $8 trillion added to the debt when you were president.
01:14:01.000 How do you address that?
01:14:02.000 Very easily.
01:14:04.000 We were doing better than anybody has ever done for two and a half years.
01:14:09.000 And then COVID came along.
01:14:10.000 We were getting ready to start selling oil to Asia, to Europe.
01:14:15.000 We're going to pay down our debt, where we were at that time at like $29 trillion.
01:14:18.000 Now we're $36 trillion.
01:14:22.000 But we're going to start paying down our debt.
01:14:24.000 We're going to do things that nobody could believe.
01:14:26.000 You take a look at Saudi Arabia.
01:14:27.000 You take a look at some of these countries.
01:14:29.000 Take a look at Russia.
01:14:31.000 I mean, Biden drove up the cost of energy.
01:14:33.000 That's what caused inflation.
01:14:34.000 But it's also what caused Putin to become rich enough to go and prosecute a war.
01:14:39.000 And he never even talks about it.
01:14:41.000 He's the one that caused that war, both rhetorically and by the fact that he drove up the price of oil to $100 a barrel, which is
01:14:50.000 Getting close to record.
01:14:52.000 And Putin was making a fortune.
01:14:54.000 He's the only guy made a fortune during a war.
01:14:57.000 If he didn't have it, I was at $40 a barrel.
01:15:00.000 If he was at $40 a barrel, Putin wouldn't have done it.
01:15:03.000 Now he wouldn't have done it for another reason.
01:15:05.000 Me.
01:15:06.000 He wouldn't have done it, but he also wouldn't have done it because he couldn't have done it because oil wasn't high enough.
01:15:13.000 At $100 a barrel, he made a lot of money, and he's making a lot of money because it's so high.
01:15:18.000 And it's also what caused the inflation, because energy is so big, it's such a big deal, that when energy goes up, if you make donuts, if you make hamburgers, anything you do,
01:15:32.000 You have trucks that deliver your product.
01:15:34.000 You have to heat your stoves, your ovens.
01:15:37.000 Anything you do, it's all energy.
01:15:38.000 And we had the highest cost of energy in history.
01:15:42.000 You know, when they talk about New Hampshire, New Hampshire has the highest price of energy, the highest cost of energy of any state in the nation.
01:15:50.000 They should vote for me because I'm going to cut their energy price in half.
01:15:54.000 So when Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis hit you again and again on this $8 trillion figure and call you a big government republic,
01:16:01.000 What do you say to that?
01:16:02.000 I say very simply, we were starting to pay down debt.
01:16:05.000 We were going to pay down a lot of debt.
01:16:07.000 When COVID came along, if I didn't inject this country with money, you would have had a depression the likes of which you've never seen.
01:16:14.000 You had to inject money.
01:16:17.000 We gave businesses that were going bankrupt, temporarily bankrupt, but they needed money.
01:16:22.000 We helped businesses.
01:16:23.000 If I didn't do that, you would have had a depression in this country.
01:16:27.000 That was a very good investment.
01:16:30.000 And now, what they should be doing, instead of the kind of debt that they're building at record levels, they should be paying down their debt, and they ought to go into the energy business instead of this green new scam business that they're in.
01:16:42.000 But what about the future?
01:16:43.000 What about cutting spending?
01:16:44.000 $34 trillion in debt.
01:16:46.000 Let's look at what you would do in terms of getting that number down.
01:16:51.000 What would you get rid of?
01:16:51.000 We have a lot of cutting, but we also have a lot of income.
01:16:55.000 We have more liquid gold under our feet, energy,
01:16:58.000 We're good.
01:17:16.000 Saudi Arabia and Russia combined, and we were going to make a lot of money.
01:17:21.000 We have a lot of potential income.
01:17:24.000 DeSantis wants to cut Social Security and Medicare.
01:17:27.000 Nikki Haley wants to cut Social Security and Medicare.
01:17:30.000 Nikki Haley wanted to raise the age from 65 to 74, 75, or 76.
01:17:36.000 But only for young people in their 20s.
01:17:38.000 I mean, that's going to run out of money.
01:17:41.000 That's what they say.
01:17:42.000 So at some point, someone has to address it, right?
01:17:44.000 That's what they say when it starts.
01:17:46.000 They say only for young people.
01:17:47.000 It's only for young people.
01:17:49.000 And then it doesn't work for young people, and they end up getting up to people that are of the age where it matters.
01:17:54.000 No good.
01:17:55.000 All right, let's go to Kim, a small business owner from Brines.
01:18:00.000 Is that correct?
01:18:01.000 Kim, where are you?
01:18:01.000 That is correct.
01:18:02.000 Do you know who you're caucusing for Monday?
01:18:05.000 I am proud to say I am a caucus captain.
01:18:09.000 For?
01:18:10.000 Yes!
01:18:10.000 Let's go!
01:18:11.000 She's awesome.
01:18:34.000 Great question.
01:18:35.000 It's not sustainable for our country.
01:18:38.000 We have millions and millions of people here.
01:18:41.000 It is not sustainable.
01:18:43.000 Did you see in New York City where they're getting the regular students out and they're putting migrants in their place?
01:18:50.000 We are going to have the largest deportation effort in the history of our country.
01:18:55.000 We're bringing everybody back to where they came from.
01:18:58.000 We have no choice.
01:19:00.000 We have no choice.
01:19:02.000 Thank you.
01:19:03.000 Denise is here as well.
01:19:06.000 I love how all these white people are just like, Trump is like, we will deport more people than ever in history.
01:19:13.000 And some of them are just like, oh shit.
01:19:16.000 Some of them are cheering for him, but some of them, they're intimidated by the power.
01:19:20.000 She came to our town hall last night.
01:19:22.000 I don't like that.
01:19:23.000 She came in saying that she was, if I remember correctly, you were leaning towards President Trump, but you did say you heard some things last night that you liked.
01:19:31.000 So where are you tonight?
01:19:33.000 I spoke with a lot of my really close friends after last night.
01:19:36.000 They were all up and wanted to know how it went.
01:19:39.000 And we got back to President Trump.
01:19:44.000 He just mentioned, I think, something that you're concerned about.
01:19:50.000 What's your question?
01:19:52.000 You just answered part of it, that our kids were displaced in New York City, in the place of illegal migrants.
01:20:00.000 So what I want to know, in the spirit of making America great again, can you do something about the sanctuary cities?
01:20:07.000 Well, they're going to be ended because the Democrats are going to end them because you can't sustain it.
01:20:12.000 If you look at New York, you have a mayor of New York who now is really hostile to the administration because
01:20:17.000 New York City, that's my place.
01:20:19.000 I love New York.
01:20:21.000 It's gone.
01:20:22.000 It's had a tough time.
01:20:23.000 The previous mayor was the worst mayor in the history of our country, de Blasio.
01:20:28.000 Do you ever hear of de Blasio?
01:20:29.000 The worst.
01:20:30.000 But what's happened is we cannot, this country cannot sustain 15 or 16 million people, because I think that's the real number.
01:20:37.000 I think by the time his administration ends, and hopefully quickly,
01:20:42.000 Uh, it's going to be 18 million people.
01:20:44.000 That's bigger than New York State.
01:20:46.000 That's bigger than just about every state other than one or two.
01:20:49.000 18 million people.
01:20:51.000 Remember this.
01:20:52.000 Many of those people come from jails and prisons.
01:20:56.000 Many of those people come from mental institutions and insane asylums.
01:21:00.000 And many of those people are terrorists.
01:21:02.000 You know, I saw on Fox the other day.
01:21:04.000 It was horrible, but beautiful because from my... There's 20 million people and they're all insane criminals and terrorists.
01:21:12.000 That's so good.
01:21:14.000 He's right though, but it's true.
01:21:15.000 And they gotta get him out.
01:21:34.000 Iran was broke.
01:21:35.000 I said to China, if you buy oil from Iran, you're not dealing in here.
01:21:39.000 They immediately dropped.
01:21:40.000 India, France, Italy, all of these countries were buying from Iran.
01:21:46.000 Iran would give out billions of dollars to terrorists.
01:21:50.000 They had no money.
01:21:51.000 I watched a Democrat congressman the other day on one of the shows, and he said, I'll say one thing about Trump, he said, Trump.
01:21:59.000 I love when he says his own name like that.
01:22:00.000 Trump.
01:22:08.000 I'll say one thing about Trump, he said.
01:22:11.000 Trump.
01:22:12.000 I'll say one thing about Trump.
01:22:14.000 When he did that number on Iran, they were broke.
01:22:17.000 They were absolutely broke.
01:22:18.000 When I left, they were broke.
01:22:19.000 They had no money.
01:22:20.000 There was no money for Hamas, for Hezbollah.
01:22:22.000 There was no money for anybody.
01:22:24.000 They had no money.
01:22:25.000 And you would say that, too.
01:22:26.000 I mean, I think even the two of you would say that.
01:22:30.000 And you know how much money they have now?
01:22:33.000 In three years, under Biden, they have $250 billion.
01:22:40.000 Anybody.
01:22:41.000 They had no money.
01:22:42.000 And you would say that, too.
01:22:43.000 I mean, I think even the two of you would say that.
01:22:46.000 They were absolutely stoned.
01:22:47.000 And you know how much money they have now?
01:22:50.000 In three years, under Biden, they have $250 billion.
01:22:55.000 Again, the energy business is a big business.
01:22:58.000 And not to mention the five hostages that they paid $6 billion for.
01:23:04.000 Not to mention they got $10 billion for supplying some electricity to Iraq, which, by the way, they own.
01:23:11.000 And Iraq has $300 billion, and essentially it's a subsidiary of
01:23:17.000 Ha ha!
01:23:46.000 Dude, he's so awesome.
01:23:52.000 He's awesome.
01:23:53.000 He just deserves it.
01:23:54.000 He should be the king.
01:23:57.000 Forget the election.
01:23:58.000 Forget the presidency.
01:23:59.000 He should just be the leader forever.
01:24:01.000 Like, how could anyone... Who else would be the leader?
01:24:06.000 He says about the war in Iraq.
01:24:08.000 Hey, you know, to the victor go the spoils.
01:24:11.000 We annihilated them.
01:24:12.000 Where's the spoils?
01:24:14.000 We annihilate them, then we leave?
01:24:16.000 Where's the treasure?
01:24:18.000 It's like a pirate king.
01:24:19.000 It's like the fucking barbarian.
01:24:21.000 You know, they used to say about wars, to the victor belong the spoils.
01:24:26.000 We go into some place, we obliterate it, and then we leave.
01:24:29.000 We are run by fools.
01:24:31.000 We're run by stupid people.
01:24:32.000 But we ran it very smart for four years, and we won everything.
01:24:37.000 We won everything.
01:24:37.000 Mr. President, you're talking a lot about... To the victor belong the spoils.
01:24:42.000 Look, you defeat Iraq, you get all their stuff.
01:24:45.000 We get to take all their stuff.
01:24:47.000 The best... is when they sold the war in Iraq, they said, oh, well...
01:24:54.000 You know, we gotta liberate the Iraqi people, man.
01:24:58.000 The government sucks, but the people just want freedom, and we're gonna give it to them.
01:25:03.000 And Trump is like, we obliterated them.
01:25:06.000 We didn't take all their stuff.
01:25:08.000 It used to be you defeat them, to the victor go the spoils.
01:25:13.000 You obliterate them and then you leave?
01:25:15.000 Where's the stuff?
01:25:16.000 Where's the treasure?
01:25:17.000 Where's the gold?
01:25:20.000 So awesome.
01:25:21.000 Remember I said that earlier?
01:25:22.000 I said that earlier.
01:25:23.000 We were watching the DeSantis-Haley thing.
01:25:26.000 It's like DeSantis and Haley are giving the debate team thing.
01:25:30.000 I said, and Trump used to say, we spent five trillion dollars.
01:25:35.000 We can't even go there.
01:25:36.000 You have to take the oil.
01:25:38.000 We should have taken, and then here he, and then like eight years later, he hasn't let that go.
01:25:43.000 Nine years later.
01:25:44.000 It's been almost nine years since he ran in, when he announced at 15.
01:25:49.000 And he goes, to the victor belong the spoils.
01:26:06.000 We are run by fools.
01:26:08.000 We're run by stupid people.
01:26:10.000 But we ran it very smart for four years, and we won everything.
01:26:14.000 We won everything.
01:26:14.000 Mr. President, you're talking a lot about policy.
01:26:16.000 You get questions about what a second term is going to look like.
01:26:19.000 When you're in your rallies, you spend a lot of time talking about retribution.
01:26:24.000 And so there are questions about how much a second term of a Donald Trump presidency, second term, would be about retribution.
01:26:33.000 Well, first of all, a lot of people would say that that's not so bad.
01:26:38.000 Look what they did.
01:26:39.000 Russia, Russia, Russia hoax.
01:26:41.000 The FBI Twitter hoax.
01:26:43.000 The 51 intelligence agents hoax.
01:26:46.000 All of these different hoaxes that they did.
01:26:48.000 I mean, you know, a lot of people would say that's probably quite normal.
01:26:52.000 I'm not going to have time for retribution.
01:26:53.000 We're going to make this country so successful again, I'm not going to have time for retribution.
01:26:58.000 And remember this.
01:27:00.000 Our ultimate retribution is success.
01:27:03.000 When we had just prior to the China virus coming in, if you don't mind, I'd like to be accurate, as opposed to COVID.
01:27:11.000 It is the China virus.
01:27:12.000 It came out of Wuhan.
01:27:13.000 And I said a long time ago in your show, it came out of Wuhan.
01:27:17.000 They were saying it came out of caves, bat caves, 2,000 miles away.
01:27:20.000 It came out of Italy, it came out of France.
01:27:22.000 No, it came out of Wuhan, the labs.
01:27:24.000 And by the way, I don't think
01:27:27.000 They love him.
01:27:28.000 They absolutely love him.
01:27:28.000 He's our king.
01:27:29.000 He is our leader.
01:27:30.000 We are his subjects.
01:27:30.000 Look, and they're absolutely loving him.
01:27:56.000 $400 billion in tariffs and taxes from China.
01:27:59.000 And one of the reasons China's not doing so well today is because of those tariffs.
01:28:03.000 And Biden wants to cut them.
01:28:05.000 You know, he got paid off by China, after all, so he wants to help the people that gave him a lot of money.
01:28:09.000 But, you know, he's a Manchurian candidate, in a true sense.
01:28:12.000 He got money from China.
01:28:13.000 He got money from Russia.
01:28:14.000 You remember the debate where Chris Wallace, how is he doing, I wonder?
01:28:18.000 But Chris Wallace, when I said to Biden, I asked him a question.
01:28:23.000 I said, how come you got $3.5 million from the mayor of Moscow's wife?
01:28:27.000 And Chris Wallace wouldn't let me ask me.
01:28:29.000 I said, why are you stopping this?
01:28:31.000 Now it's turned out to be a big deal.
01:28:33.000 He got $3.5 million from the mayor of Moscow's wife.
01:28:36.000 I tell you this, we're gonna have a success that's so great that I won't have, hopefully, I won't have time for retribution.
01:28:43.000 There won't be retribution, there'll be success.
01:28:45.000 Mr. President, before we wrap up this, you know, there is this report, House Democrats, documents that say that nearly $8 million in payments to your businesses from foreign governments, China included, Saudi Arabia, while you were in office.
01:28:59.000 They say Article 1 of the Constitution says you can't accept money from foreign governments while president.
01:29:04.000 Would you pledge to divest from your business in a second term, as other presidents have done?
01:29:09.000 That's what they're reporting.
01:29:11.000 I own hotels all over the place.
01:29:12.000 I don't get free money.
01:29:14.000 Somebody rents a hotel room, et cetera, et cetera.
01:29:16.000 Much money I gave back.
01:29:17.000 In fact, I didn't have to do it.
01:29:19.000 You know, George Washington was a very rich man.
01:29:21.000 People don't know that.
01:29:22.000 In his essentially White House, which wasn't built, but they had an office, he had a business desk and he had a country desk right next to each other.
01:29:31.000 You're allowed to do that.
01:29:32.000 I didn't do it.
01:29:33.000 I put everything in trust.
01:29:37.000 This is the record.
01:29:38.000 There's all these audio issues.
01:29:40.000 This is from the recording on YouTube, by the way, because it was recorded from live TV.
01:30:08.000 I don't get $500,000 for doing a painting.
01:30:10.000 It's not a bad idea, I guess, if you can get away with it.
01:30:13.000 When I heard that, when I said, there's no way they get away with that, but they got away with that, I guess.
01:30:17.000 They got away with it.
01:30:19.000 Now, uh, we have, you know, there was an Amaliamage lawsuit against me where the radical left sued me for that.
01:30:25.000 I have good stuff.
01:30:25.000 And I won the suit.
01:30:26.000 I got good stuff.
01:30:27.000 And the judge said, they go to his hotels.
01:30:29.000 What's he gonna do?
01:30:31.000 There you go.
01:30:33.000 We want to hear more from Iowa voters.
01:30:34.000 We're going to take a quick break.
01:30:36.000 We'll be back here in Des Moines with more of our town hall with former President Donald Trump.
01:30:40.000 This is the best.
01:30:42.000 Absolutely the greatest of all time.
01:30:47.000 Alright, let's wrap this up.
01:30:52.000 I have the best hotels.
01:30:53.000 I have the best clubs.
01:30:55.000 I got good stuff.
01:30:57.000 And you know, like, here's the thing, like, all the guys love Trump.
01:31:01.000 Because Trump is just a guy.
01:31:03.000 He's not, like, a faggot, nerd, politician.
01:31:07.000 He's just a guy.
01:31:08.000 So all these guys in Iowa who are farmers or they own a business or whatever, they look at him and they're like, that's how we are.
01:31:17.000 That's how we talk.
01:31:18.000 He's a guy's guy.
01:31:20.000 You know, they're grilling him with this political bullshit.
01:31:23.000 They're like, oh, well, uh, are you going to divest from your business?
01:31:26.000 And he's like, look, I got good shit, OK?
01:31:29.000 They stay in my hotel.
01:31:30.000 I got a great hotel.
01:31:31.000 I mean, they love him.
01:31:33.000 And they should.
01:31:34.000 He's the man.
01:31:40.000 Welcome back, everybody, to our town hall with former President Trump.
01:31:44.000 We're glad to have all of you with us tonight.
01:31:45.000 I want to try to get in a few more questions here.
01:31:48.000 We have a lot of good ones.
01:31:49.000 Let's go to Rebecca.
01:31:50.000 She is a mom of six from Ogden.
01:31:52.000 There she is.
01:31:54.000 Hi, Rebecca.
01:31:55.000 Hi.
01:31:56.000 Are you decided, leaning towards one person or another?
01:32:02.000 Well, for me, it all comes down to this question.
01:32:05.000 Between you, sir, President Trump, and Ron DeSantis, because you both talk a lot about pro-life, your record, and that's my number one issue, and the cry of my heart is justice for all people.
01:32:17.000 And I've been, you know, vocal and celebrating with you all of your pro-life victories from the past.
01:32:22.000 But then in this campaign, you've also blamed pro-lifers for some of the GOP losses around the country, and you've called heartbeat laws like Iowa's terrible.
01:32:31.000 And so I'd just like some clarity on this, because it's such an important question to me.
01:32:35.000 I'd like for you to reassure me that you can protect all life, every person's right to life, without compromise.
01:32:43.000 So, that's a great question.
01:32:45.000 I appreciate it too.
01:32:47.000 You wouldn't be asking that question, even talking about the issue, because for 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it.
01:32:56.000 And I'm proud to have done it.
01:32:57.000 They wanted to get it back, right?
01:32:59.000 You wouldn't have that.
01:33:00.000 There would be no question.
01:33:01.000 Nobody else was going to get that done but me.
01:33:04.000 We did it.
01:33:05.000 And we did something that was a miracle.
01:33:07.000 When I walked onto the stage today, a gentleman in the back, probably works for Fox, nice guy, said, sir, I'd like to thank you.
01:33:14.000 I said, for what?
01:33:15.000 He said, you saved two million lives in the last
01:33:18.000 Three years.
01:33:19.000 You saved two million lives.
01:33:20.000 And I said, thank you very much.
01:33:22.000 I knew exactly what he meant.
01:33:23.000 Two million lives.
01:33:25.000 And nobody's done more in that regard than me.
01:33:27.000 Now, I happen to be, for the exceptions, like Ronald Reagan, with the life of the mother, rape, incest,
01:33:37.000 I just have to be there, I feel.
01:33:40.000 I think probably 78% or so, Paul, about 78%.
01:33:42.000 It was Ronald Reagan.
01:33:44.000 He was for it.
01:33:45.000 I was for it.
01:33:46.000 But I will say this.
01:33:49.000 You have to win elections.
01:33:50.000 Otherwise, you're going to be back
01:33:52.000 Well, you were, and you can't let that ever happen again.
01:33:55.000 You've got to win elections.
01:33:57.000 If you look at it, Iran, DeSantis, I don't know what he really believes, because, you know, you never know with a politician, and he's just another politician, as far as I'm concerned.
01:34:06.000 But his poll numbers have gone down to a level that he's going to be out of the race very soon.
01:34:12.000 He's going to be out very soon.
01:34:13.000 You know, I watched him last night.
01:34:14.000 He's standing up with his shoes, his fancy shoes.
01:34:18.000 And he's going to be out of the race within, you know, a lot of people say before, before New Hampshire.
01:34:24.000 I don't know if that were the reason.
01:34:26.000 I hope it wasn't the reason.
01:34:27.000 I hope it's for other reasons.
01:34:28.000 I could see a lot of other reasons why he shouldn't be.
01:34:31.000 But he's doing very, very poorly.
01:34:34.000 It happened to coincide with that, because a lot of people say a lot of, you know, if you talk five or six weeks, a lot of women don't know if they're pregnant in five or six weeks.
01:34:42.000 I want to get something where people are happy.
01:34:44.000 You know, this has been tearing our country apart for 50 years.
01:34:49.000 Nobody's been able to do anything.
01:34:51.000 And again, you can only ask that question, and you ask it brilliantly.
01:34:55.000 And I understand exactly where you're coming from.
01:34:57.000 I love where you're coming from.
01:34:58.000 But we still have to win
01:35:01.000 Elections and they've used this you know, we have some great Republicans and they're great on the issue and you would love them on the issue And a lot of them have just been decimated in the election decimated.
01:35:13.000 I mean absolutely so we're going to come up with something that people
01:35:19.000 Want and people like I would love you to first of all you have to go with your heart, okay?
01:35:24.000 You have to go with your heart first go with your heart your mind go with it But you do also have to put in there a little bit you have to win elections But if it weren't for me with Roe v. Wade you wouldn't even be talking about this up You wouldn't be asking that question because we're great, but I remember this they're the radicals.
01:35:40.000 We're not the radicals because they'll kill a baby remember I had the debate with crooked Hillary Clinton and
01:35:46.000 I don't call her crooked anymore.
01:35:47.000 I use that now for Joe Biden, as you know.
01:35:49.000 I call her beautiful, Hillary.
01:35:50.000 She's a beautiful woman.
01:35:52.000 But in the debate with Hillary Clinton, I said, they said, you know, she's willing to rip the baby out of the womb in the ninth month.
01:36:02.000 And you know, I never heard this.
01:36:03.000 It happened to me.
01:36:05.000 It just came to me during that debate.
01:36:06.000 I didn't go up there thinking I was going to say that.
01:36:09.000 And she even winced.
01:36:11.000 Nobody wants to see that happening after a certain period of time.
01:36:15.000 Nobody.
01:36:16.000 They're the radicals because they're willing to kill the baby in eight months, nine months, or even after birth.
01:36:22.000 If you remember the former governor of Virginia where he said,
01:36:26.000 You kill the baby after the ninth month, or even after you set the baby aside, and you have a conversation with the mother.
01:36:34.000 And if the conversation, can you imagine?
01:36:37.000 But these are the radicals.
01:36:38.000 We're not the radicals.
01:36:39.000 We are not the radicals.
01:36:41.000 But we're living in a time when there has to be a little bit of a concession one way or the other.
01:36:46.000 And I think, you know, I want to get it right.
01:36:49.000 I have to get it right.
01:36:51.000 But without what I did, you would never even be asking that question, because there was no chance that that was going to happen.
01:36:57.000 For 54 years, they campaigned on that issue, and nobody pulled it off but me.
01:37:03.000 So I think you're going to be happy in the end.
01:37:05.000 Thank you very much.
01:37:13.000 At the end of the day it's just politics and I like that Trump just says it because he's just right, you know.
01:37:21.000 The Dems are obviously trying to make pro-life a poison pill because on the one side you've got the fact that most women do not support these laws and it is costing Republicans elections.
01:37:33.000 On the other side, you have the pro-lifers that are trying to kill the Republicans if they are not sufficiently pro-life.
01:37:40.000 And you hear all these people, like, on the other stage, they're waffling about it.
01:37:45.000 They say, well, we need to build a consensus, or we need to do this or that.
01:37:49.000 And I like that Trump just comes out and says it's politics.
01:37:53.000 You know, I'm pro-life, but we have to win the election.
01:37:56.000 It is what it is.
01:37:57.000 And that's true.
01:37:58.000 I mean, that's completely true.
01:37:59.000 And I think people are mature enough to understand that without having to be lied to.
01:38:05.000 I'm so sorry.
01:38:06.000 I knew I could get through every city I thought.
01:38:09.000 Well, Madrid.
01:38:10.000 Do you know how you're going to caucus?
01:38:12.000 Trump, 100%.
01:38:13.000 Oh, I like that.
01:38:14.000 Do you have a question?
01:38:18.000 Thank you.
01:38:18.000 Go ahead.
01:38:20.000 How would you de-escalate global tensions and keep the United States out of foreign wars?
01:38:25.000 Yeah, do it through peace through strength.
01:38:28.000 You know, I just saw something where I was the only president for 78 years, no war started.
01:38:34.000 Now I wiped out ISIS.
01:38:36.000 You know, I did a thing that was... I won't go into names, I won't go into specifics, but we did a thing that nobody thought was possible.
01:38:42.000 Did it very quickly.
01:38:44.000 I withdrew from Syria.
01:38:46.000 I withdrew from Iraq.
01:38:47.000 I withdrew.
01:38:49.000 They want to put people back.
01:38:50.000 We're in countries that don't even want us.
01:38:52.000 We're with countries that a lot of you never even heard the names of these countries.
01:38:56.000 You know, there's a great leader, in my opinion, he's very strong.
01:38:59.000 Some people say it's terrible to say that, but he is.
01:39:02.000 Viktor Orban, he's the prime minister of Hungary.
01:39:05.000 And they asked him, what would you do?
01:39:06.000 There are wars all over the world right now.
01:39:08.000 He said, what I do is make sure the American people vote for Donald Trump for president, because when he was president, China feared him.
01:39:16.000 I don't want to be feared.
01:39:17.000 But he used the term.
01:39:18.000 I'm not using the term.
01:39:19.000 President Xi is a very tough cookie.
01:39:21.000 But I think they did fear us.
01:39:23.000 China feared him.
01:39:24.000 Russia feared him.
01:39:25.000 Everybody.
01:39:26.000 I even got along with Kim Jong Un.
01:39:28.000 You know, getting along
01:39:29.000 With people with hundreds of nuclear weapons, it's not a bad thing.
01:39:32.000 You know, they want to make it like a bad thing.
01:39:34.000 It's a very good thing.
01:39:35.000 But peace through strength.
01:39:38.000 They didn't want to mess around.
01:39:40.000 It would have never happened in Ukraine.
01:39:42.000 Russia would have never gone in.
01:39:43.000 Would have never happened, the recent attack on Israel.
01:39:45.000 Would have never happened.
01:39:47.000 A hundred, I mean, zero percent chance that was going to happen.
01:39:53.000 Prepared.
01:39:54.000 And I rebuilt our entire military.
01:39:57.000 And think of it, Biden gave $85 billion worth of our military to Afghanistan so stupidly.
01:40:04.000 Brand new tanks and planes and everything.
01:40:08.000 700,000 rifles and guns.
01:40:10.000 70,000 vehicles, many of them armor-plated vehicles.
01:40:15.000 And by the way, people died.
01:40:18.000 13 great soldiers died.
01:40:19.000 I've gotten to know the families very well.
01:40:22.000 Many horribly hurt.
01:40:23.000 And hundreds of people killed when you include both.
01:40:26.000 Hundreds of people killed in the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
01:40:32.000 So I really appreciate the question.
01:40:35.000 And I appreciate very much that you're with me.
01:40:38.000 And I'm with you, too.
01:40:39.000 Thank you.
01:40:39.000 So, from the other side of the party, there are many like Governor Haley who said that you are now more of an isolationist than you were.
01:40:45.000 And that you got many concessions from NATO members as president to increase their defense budget.
01:40:50.000 Hundreds of billions of dollars.
01:40:51.000 But there's a real concern what a second Trump term would mean.
01:40:54.000 Would you be committed to NATO, for example, in a second Trump term?
01:40:58.000 Depends if they treat us properly.
01:41:01.000 Look, NATO is taking advantage of our country.
01:41:03.000 The European countries took advantage of us.
01:41:06.000 I want to use a word starting with an S, but I don't want to do it, because I see some young, very good-looking children in the audience, and I assume they're watching on television.
01:41:14.000 But they took advantage of us on trade, and then they took advantage of us on our military protection.
01:41:19.000 Of the 28 countries at the time, only 8 countries were paid up.
01:41:23.000 We were paying the difference.
01:41:25.000 And I went to him and I said, if you don't pay, we're not going to protect you.
01:41:28.000 And they said, do you mean that?
01:41:29.000 I said, I mean that.
01:41:31.000 And the next day, billions of dollars poured into NATO.
01:41:35.000 The reason they have money right now to prosecute what they're doing with helping Ukraine is because of the money I got them.
01:41:41.000 So, you know, peace through strength.
01:41:44.000 Mr. President, we appreciate your time.
01:41:46.000 Thank you.
01:41:46.000 Thank you very much.
01:41:47.000 Good to have you with us tonight.
01:41:48.000 Thank you.
01:41:49.000 So we're going to be right back with just a quick final segment right after this timeout.
01:41:54.000 Stay with us.
01:41:57.000 One more second, alright.
01:42:10.000 Pretty good.
01:42:11.000 Pretty good panel.
01:42:15.000 Well, thank you for watching our town hall with Republican presidential candidate, former president Donald Trump.
01:42:20.000 We hope you enjoyed the past three nights with the candidates as the former president works the crowd here, signing some hats.
01:42:26.000 We also want to thank all the voters who attended our three town halls.
01:42:31.000 They braved the elements.
01:42:32.000 There are some elements out there.
01:42:34.000 And asked some really important questions that are really top issues.
01:42:39.000 He's so awesome.
01:42:57.000 Alright, well, that's a town hall.
01:43:00.000 We did end up watching much of this because this just sucks by comparison.
01:43:03.000 Like, compare and contrast.
01:43:04.000 Trump is so real.
01:43:05.000 He's just a real guy.
01:43:06.000 He's just like us.
01:43:07.000 He's a real human being.
01:43:08.000 These people are not real.
01:43:22.000 They're fake corporate puppets.
01:43:24.000 Politicians are so desperate and thirsty for it.
01:43:29.000 Trump just is.
01:43:30.000 Trump just exudes greatness and excellence and power and strength and pride.
01:43:37.000 That's why we love him.
01:43:38.000 That's why we want him to be emperor for life.
01:43:40.000 Dictator for life of the United States because he's a rightful king.
01:43:43.000 Let's see.
01:43:45.000 TheDeSantisLies.com.
01:43:48.000 Documented lies.
01:43:53.000 In your mind, what needs to be done?
01:43:56.000 How serious of a threat is China?
01:44:00.000 Well, first of all, look at what is happening.
01:44:02.000 You've got China- Shut up.
01:44:04.000 Growing signs of frustration and even anger among member of the Ron DeSantis team.
01:44:10.000 Yo, show goes on.
01:44:11.000 Remember that song?
01:44:12.000 The DeSantis never back down super PAC met privately last Tuesday to work on a plan to fight back against rival- Haters in the business.
01:44:20.000 Remember that song?
01:44:21.000 That song was so fire.
01:44:22.000 I totally forgot about that one.
01:44:23.000 This is some Kano from...
01:44:52.000 The 2010s.

01:45:45.000 What a throwback.
01:45:46.000 This is an awesome song.

01:46:27.000 Whatever happened to Lupe Fiasco?
01:46:29.000 He fell off.
01:46:31.000 I feel like he came out with this and we never heard from him again.
01:46:34.000 What else?
01:46:48.000 Yeah, yeah, the world is yours.
01:46:50.000 I was once that little boy, terrified of the world.
01:46:53.000 Now I'm on a world tour.
01:46:55.000 I will give up everything, even start a world war for these ghetto girls and boys I'm rapping round the world for.
01:47:01.000 Africa to New York, Haiti then I detour.
01:47:05.000 Oakland out to Oakland, Gaza Strip to Detroit.
01:47:08.000 Say hip-hop only destroy, tell them look at me boy.
01:47:11.000 I hope your son don't have a gun and never be a D-Boy.
01:47:34.000 That's good.
01:47:35.000 That's a great song.
01:47:36.000 W. Nikki Haley for using that.
01:47:38.000 I totally forgot about it.
01:47:40.000 It's a forgotten classic.
01:47:43.000 What's Kick Push?
01:47:44.000 How does this one go again?
01:47:46.000 I kind of forgot.

01:48:13.000 What else does he sing?
01:48:15.000 How does Superstar go?
01:48:17.000 I feel like I know one other song of his that's good.
01:48:20.000 I can't remember what it is though.
01:48:23.000 Like a newer one.
01:48:30.000 I don't remember that.
01:48:39.000 Whatever.
01:48:40.000 Well, alright.
01:48:42.000 I think that's gonna do it for me on this stream.
01:48:44.000 We'll check.

01:48:46.000 Anybody superchat me?
01:48:49.000 We'll take a look and if there's anything, I'll read it.

01:49:31.000 I wasn't streaming at 10 a.m.
01:49:34.000 But I guess I'll save that for my show tonight.
01:49:36.000 I'll probably do the debate and then I might do a quick stream after the debate.
01:49:40.000 We'll see if I'm up for it.
01:49:41.000 Otherwise, I'll just do it on tomorrow's show.
01:49:44.000 Because I feel like people may not know I'm reading them on this stream if they'll be looking for them on the next show, you know.

01:50:25.000 I'm kind of concerned that if I go out of the country that they'll like arrest me or something.
01:50:30.000 So I'm a little nervous about leaving America again.
01:50:34.000 We'll see though.
01:50:35.000 Very true.
