00:00:00.000 This is going to be an easy one.
00:00:07.300 Steve, how do you define victory?
00:00:13.640 I wish I could remember those beautiful lines from the Conan movie, actually.
00:00:18.560 You all know the ones I mean.
00:00:24.700 Victory.
00:00:25.660 I want to talk about victory not just in the generic.
00:00:28.740 I've talked about Sigur before.
00:00:32.780 I want to talk about victory in a specific context.
00:00:35.480 I want to talk about it in the context of victory for our faith and our folk.
00:00:43.940 Victory is ensuring, first of all, that we survive,
00:00:51.160 that we remain an identifiable, powerful, self-determining group of men and women
00:01:00.460 united by blood and culture. This will only happen if we awaken. The awakening
00:01:08.980 is everything. The three horns that are the symbol of the AFA, to me one of those
00:01:17.620 horns stands for awakening. The
00:01:20.780 the stirring of the
00:01:25.600 folk. We must awaken. We must realize first of all that we
00:01:29.380 are a people and that's okay. There's nothing wrong with that.
00:01:33.860 We must remember that as a people we have a right
00:01:37.240 to determine who we are. We have a right to assert ourselves properly.
00:01:42.480 Once we are awakened, then we must become empowered.
00:01:45.800 this empowerment is the sort of thing we've been talking about with the issue of money
00:01:51.140 but that's only a part of it we must have an awakening that brings us spiritual power which
00:01:56.980 can then be transformed into a multitude of various forms but again we must have
00:02:04.320 a psychic place in the world there must be room in the world for us and for our opinions for the
00:02:12.100 things that we hold dear. We must establish these. We must legitimize these. We must do this by the
00:02:19.220 force of our will and our dedication. And then finally, we must ensure the long-term, the long-term
00:02:28.240 survival of all that we hold dear. Our folk, our faith, for that matter, the very planet on which
00:02:34.680 we live and ultimately in the long run generations from now that will only happen if we get out of
00:02:42.700 the cradle and the earth is the cradle. Tonight when those stars come out and you look up and you
00:02:51.560 see stars that you don't see in the city you see the Milky Way for the first time maybe since you
00:02:57.000 were a kid. Someday, someday, maybe long, long after we're gone, I want Alsatruar, Eurofolk,
00:03:09.940 out there to be looking back at a little Class G star with some rocks running around it and say,
00:03:19.180 that's where it started. That's where we came from. And then they're going to pass the horn.
00:03:27.000 Elga, what do you think? How do you define victory?
00:03:34.800 My vision of victory for our community is more personal and less far-reaching. I'm kind of in awe of that.
00:03:43.000 Hard act to follow.
00:03:45.000 I read a lot of science fiction as a kid.
00:03:49.000 For me, I honestly think that in a lot of ways this faith will never be one of the big
00:03:56.400 three, so to speak.
00:03:58.260 It's a difficult path.
00:03:59.440 It's a path that requires us to take a whole lot of personal responsibilities on our shoulders
00:04:05.640 and not give it up to God or whatever.
00:04:10.240 It's a hard path to walk and I think that it will always be to some degree a path that
00:04:16.580 a minority of people in the world at large choose, but to me victory is a dispelling
00:04:23.580 of the ignorance. That if I say, I'm also true, I don't just get a blank look. That
00:04:29.140 if I say, I'm a devout heathen, people don't think I just uttered a completely inexplicable
00:04:34.000 oxymoron. That when I say, I'm not Christian, people don't say, so you don't think Jesus
00:04:41.040 was the son of god um to me an understanding and accepting of our faith and our folk way as a a
00:04:50.480 valid expression of of faith in ourself a something where not everyone you know may be also true but
00:04:58.320 when you meet one you're like oh that's what also true is um the idea that this is out here so that
00:05:05.680 People who are called to it can find it so that we have a voice in our governments and our future.
00:05:12.800 To me, that's victory, is when we're known and accepted, even on a small scale.
00:05:18.600 Stephen, what do you think? How do you define victory?
00:05:21.660 Victory, for me, will be when we have hoffs and temples in every state,
00:05:29.680 when people will look and see a Thor's hammer around a person's neck and think,
00:05:34.480 oh, he's also true.
00:05:36.180 When our children are not ostracized or made fun of in school
00:05:40.940 because they're heathen.
00:05:43.340 When people will look at Marvel Comics and see a Thor comic book
00:05:49.380 and think, that's extremely poor taste.
00:05:53.280 When there is a general awareness,
00:05:56.420 when there is a recognizable definition of this religion
00:06:04.180 that's commonly known among everyone, that will be victory.
00:06:09.300 You know, Helga said she doesn't think that we're ever going to be part of the big three.
00:06:13.660 I don't think that we were ever meant to be part of the big three,
00:06:20.880 but I think that we will be as large and we will be as well known.
00:06:26.660 Because to be honest with you, I really believe sincerely that the big three 0.61
00:06:31.540 are going to become something that's going to fade into the background, especially Christianity.
00:06:39.020 I see people, more and more people leaving Christianity every single day. The only thing
00:06:45.940 that I feel is, the only big religion that's growing right now is Islam. And I think Islam 1.00
00:06:51.920 is going to be the biggest threat to our folk than Christianity ever was. So it's, the future 1.00
00:07:00.980 is going to be very challenging for our folk but if we stay focused and stay
00:07:07.800 firm in our beliefs I think we'll achieve victory any comments any
00:07:12.980 questions well thank our guests here
00:07:42.980 Thank you.
