Asatru Folk Assembly - How Hofs Happen #afa #asatru #ásatrú #Asatrufolksssembly

00:00:00.000 Gods are not ones to bless do-nothings with success.

00:00:07.480 It's amazing what a relatively small number of us can accomplish when we stand together

00:00:14.620 and when we pool even a small amount of our resources together to make things happen.

00:00:21.360 There's such an ability.

00:00:23.080 You know, I've heard, and at some point, sometimes this is just old men sitting around talking, and the context may be lost.

00:00:34.120 But when I started being involved in Ausatru and reading Rune Stones back to the 1980s, everybody always wants to get Hoff.

00:00:44.600 making hoffs happen is this you know distant dream but for the longest time nobody wanted 0.88

00:00:51.000 to contribute to an aussitrew hoff they wanted their personal backyard hoff or their kindred

00:00:58.920 hoff they were gonna get together with their 10 guys that they know and make a hoff happen

00:01:06.680 there's always this reluctance to get them to contribute to something bigger that maybe

00:01:10.680 wasn't geographically where they were but there was somewhere and once we got over that

00:01:19.480 all the little if everybody i heard talk about how much they wanted a hoff

00:01:25.480 were willing to contribute to one of the afa's hoffs happening that would be such a tremendous

00:01:33.400 step to bring a hoff closer to them never saw any of those independent hoffs happen

00:01:38.680 but i did saw a c is when the afa members and friends chose to put money together to make

00:01:45.080 hoffs happen in pretty short order we got four um got many more planned and we're going to do a lot

00:01:54.280 more and we do that when we share together the other thing that i try to tell folks and i know

00:02:00.680 i know that it sounds hard to believe but it's 100 true and it's easier to believe each half

00:02:09.240 that we get but the quickest way to get a half near you is to contribute to the current half that

00:02:18.760 can help us pay off in yours off if you want a half in texas that's what's that's the best way

00:02:25.080 for you to get a hoff is help us get paid off or somebody just came in said they're from a while

00:02:32.920 you're in ohio and you want a hoff it's an even easier sell because that's that's where we're

00:02:38.200 looking at the neck the very next hoff so that's what we're doing after we pay off new york's off

00:02:42.840 we're committed to doing this as long as we have the funding to be able to support them it's not

00:02:49.880 just about getting the hoffs once we have a hop to one of our gods we have to maintain it and take

00:02:54.200 care of. But we've got, you know.
