00:00:00.000 So, Finn Wraith wants to know, could Ragnarok be metaphorical for some real world catastrophe?
00:00:06.760 Its application is perennial. Mythos and the power of mythos is that its application can be
00:00:13.180 eternal in its expressions. So if you were to say, you know, hey, is there any war in history that
00:00:19.400 could be aligned with Ragnarok? Or is any war in the future, perhaps one that we're looking at
00:00:25.460 down the barrel of a of right now could this be analogous with ragnarok in many ways yes but if
00:00:32.960 we're talking about literalism too there are some and i i have a lending towards this as well that
00:00:38.780 i do believe that some of the um details outside of it being perennial is what defines ragnarok and
00:00:45.920 of course that is the fimble winter i remember when the the climate crisis green is the new red
00:00:52.440 guys we're talking about the most likelihood of an ice age that brings an end to mankind it's not
00:00:59.640 unplausible to think of it that way but i do believe that there is truthful insights within
00:01:06.680 the lore your application of of that of that destruction can be applied and it's okay to be
00:01:12.200 applied in other situations as well our myth cycle exists within mythic time there are constant cycles
00:01:20.520 and the mythic cycle the way that is described exists within one of those cycles. The events
00:01:27.720 in our mythology have happened, are happening, and will happen because a lot of cyclical things
00:01:34.200 repeat themselves. Understanding gods that exist outside of our temporal understanding of how
00:01:41.400 everything works are best displayed in different contexts and different seasons of their existence.
00:01:47.720 all of those seasons are relevant and existing. Simultaneously, Balder is the brightest in
00:01:55.720 Ausgard. He is slain and in Helgard, and he is returned and triumphant post-Ragnarok.
00:02:04.680 All of those things have happened, will happen, are happening.
