00:00:00.000Well, and so much of this is a matter of preconceptions, especially in the world we
00:00:06.520live in today. We're so inundated with things and race is such a hot button issue. It's been said
00:00:13.280in recent times that race is a social construct, but on the contrary, society is a racial construct.
00:00:22.980And I don't think a lot of people are aware of that, but as social groups were forming,
00:00:27.740I mean, they were formed by people with a common culture and a common heritage.
00:00:33.860And unfortunately, our folk have been demonized lately whenever we want to have any pride in ourselves or any kind of anything's just for us.
00:00:46.320But if we look at it historically, I think most people sympathize with the plight of other indigenous people that Christianity or Islam forced to worship their universal religion and destroyed their ethnic faiths.
00:01:04.320And I think that that's kind of a, it's not the perspective that I think we see this from enough, but if we looked at it from that perspective, I think we might agree more. And I think that, you know, even if we didn't agree, we might have respect for certainly where we're coming as folkish faiths.
